Five Star Reviews: | 71% Great cooler! July 13, 2017 Great cooler! It did everything that it proclaims it does. Nice size and love the ability to use or not use the stiff lining. I keep it in my car, so when I go to the big warehouse stores or just my local supermarket I'm ready to protect my frozen foods for the ride home. I live in Southern Kansas and I'm about 40 minutes away from Wichita. Using this cooler keeps my foods frozen even if I make a few stops on the way home even on a 100 degree day! I bought this for the ease of portability and for the brand. Love the handle and that it is on wheels. Coleman is a brand you can trust and it delivers! Love it! Will order another one for my husband's car :) January 14, 2017 Very useful, easy to clean and roomy. You can put so much in this cooler. I have it in my car all the time for when I go food shopping. Nice to have so when I have a lot to bring in, I put them all in this cooler and drag a lot more groceries per trip. When I went out to buy seafood and the plastic bags leaked, it did not leak through. All I had to do was take out the plastic bags, lifted the inside part and washed it out. It was dry the following day so the fishy smell was gone. A keeper for sure. Perfect for beaches and camping September 7, 2016 Perfect for beaches and camping. Ice keeps for most of day when in block form made from your kitchen containers. I use my 64 oz empty juice bottles. I fill 3/4 full and freeze (allows for expansion of ice). Wheels very well. Zips easily. The two side pockets are useful for napkins, cleansing wipes or whatever. The inside pulls out for easy cleaning. love it. August 17, 2015 This item met all my expectations regarding performance, capacity & durability. I use it from Mondays thru Fridays to bring brakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages with me to work. Items remain very, very cold from 10 am to 7:30 pm. Of course, I use one or two ice packs, since I am constatly openning the cooler to reach for fruits, cheese and water and ice between meals. Recommend it wholeheartedly! IF THIS WERE STOLEN, I WOULD PURCHASE IT AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT. January 29, 2015 EXTERNAL ATTRIBUTES:* This is the size of a small suitcase on wheels or larger camping back pack.* There are 2 wheels on the bottom of the cooler and they are on the back of the cooler as is the telescoping handle. On the front bottom of the cooler are two "feet."* FRONT: There is a zip compartment on the front of the cooler (where it says Coleman) that zips down all but about 2-1/2 inches of the entire length of the front of the cooler. The width of the zip compartment on the front outside, would hold about 9 canned beverages or single serving bottles of Gatorade or vitamin waters.* TOP: This opens via a zipper on the top from the right to the left. There is only 1 zipper opening the top. Also, there are 2 very strong (albeit dress shoelace sized) bungees on the top of the zip flap (on the top) of the cooler. I actually lifted the filled cooler with the bungees to test their strength and had no problem although I can imagine a multitude of items one could load onto the top, as long as they fit under the bungees.* SIDES: Two lift handles, one on each side at the top of the outside of the cooler.* BACK: There is the telescoping double sided luggage type sturdy handle which you can pull out either all the way, or at various heights. There are no locking sprockets which can be a good thing or a bad thing according to your personal taste.INTERNAL ATTRIBUTES* The inside is lined with the grey cooler back material, it's somewhat wrinkled albeit not unsightly. It's lightweight yet very sturdy. Great ice packs! June 21, 2016 I ordered these after I got some fit and fresh containers and discovered how much I love the thin ice packs. I can slip this into my lunch box around the edges between box and food, slide them in between my sandwich and my drink, and put the smaller sizes into even smaller spaces! They are light weight and do a great job of keeping my food icy cold for hours. I highly recommend them.***Update***I have had these for over a year now and they are still going strong. One of them bulges a bit, but nothing scary. They also fit into Coleman FlipLid 6 Personal Cooler with no problems. The smaller fit and fresh slim ice packs also fit into the lids of the fit and fresh boxes, giving me even more cold in my lunch box without taking up any additional space! Four Star Reviews: | 16% Good, not great July 18, 2017 This chest is nice. The only thing I don't care for is the wheels are super small, so, it isn't good to roll on any surface except paved. I like the liner. The one I got this to replace had a handle on the lid so you could lift it with one hand. This one, you need 2 hands because the handles are on either side of the lid. Great Cooler / Great Value June 19, 2017 This Coleman rolling cooler has a lot of bang for its buck. It is a great size and would be wonderful for tailgating and, or, picnicking. I, unfortunately, have to use it to transport medical supplies when I go on trips. It is a great value and everything is always kept very cool after I add my ice packs. The only complaint I have is with the handle. It sometimes is not very steady and won't stay up on its own well. If I had the option, I would give it 4 1/2 stars instead of just 4. Other the handle issues, I have no regrets about the purchase. Good Design That Just Slightly Misses June 16, 2017 Not as big as we thought. We really like the hard plastic liner but were hoping for a separate storage area on the top like our last cooler. Even a tray that fits into the top of the hard liner would be nice. It gives you a place to put sandwiches and such while keeping the drinks in the wet cold below. Get's the job done for the times we need it at the beach. This was a replacement for the one I had as I accidentally ran over my bag while exiting the garage. It was not a Coleman but was well constructed and actually didn't do too badly but was sufficiently damaged thatit had to be replaced.I like this bag its only drawback is the forward pocket could have been built a little larger.Overall i am pleased with the bag. April 9, 2014 Here's what I like: Hard sided removable interior therefore easy to clean, rolls easily, very stable, roomy.Here's what I wish I could change: it's taller than I expected, so I can't put it on my counter and fill it and I'm 5'6". My husband also said that if we fill it to the max, it's a problem closing the trunk of our sedan without squooshing it.All said, I like it much better than our last cooler and it's much easier clean up spills. Perfect, except for the wheels! September 29, 2013 I needed to replace a similar cooler because it started leaking and never kept things cool very long. This cooler doesn't leak because of the hard plastic lining. One reviewer stated that this cooler kept things chilled for 2 days, and it certainly did. It holds more food and drinks that I expected. My handle stayed extended without any problem. I didn't give it a 5 because of the wheels. They should have put larger wheels on the cooler, or put 2 wheels on each side as my current cooler. I doubt this cooler would work well in the sand. It pulls well on a flat surface, but if it hits a bump or you twist your hand a little too much it falls over. But I read that in a previous review, and was expecting it. I'm a teacher and use them daily in my lunch. One of these has started to leak blue goo on my freezer shelf. I took off one star for that, because it is inconvenient. One out of 4 leaking for the first time after a year is pretty good. The bagged blue ice leaks after just a few uses. I still recommend buying this. The other reason is these dont sweat all over like the older gel packs that were soft sided. And lastly these retain their shape unlike those soft gel packs that stayed in the shape they formed while in the freezer (which was often not a shape I desired or it was uneven). The pockets were large and perfect for multiple bottles of sunscreen. just ok May 31, 2017 this is just ok. it does not wheel very well when you are rolling it full. the legs seem pretty flimsy, and I am guessing will not last long. the handle does not lock in place, so it is up or down but not locked at any time. the seams are a little off in stitching, and I fear that also will be an issue over time. but is great for arount beach and hotel August 24, 2016 The cooler is ok and without the insert will meet airline carry on specs, which is why we use this type, It carrys laptop and such onto plane, but is great for arount beach and hotel. No it does not roll well on sand, as expected, but just hose it off at the shower so no sand is dragged to room. Only 3 stars because the cooler falls forward and leaks. Make sure you prop it up against something in car We are going to glue a small piece of wood with holes drilled in for the legs to the front. Hopefilly this will add stability without weight. Can be tricky to travel with it. Ice melts pretty quickly May 27, 2014 It's a pretty good cooler and I use it at the city pool with my kids and their snacks and stuff. Does it job. However, there is not much insulation inside. The outside "soft" shell is thermal but not the greatest. The inside "hard" shell is super thin so ice will melt on you within about 2 hours. Other coolers with the complete hard shell are thicker and stay colder way longer. The plus to the thin inside is that you can take it out and clean it. Also, the front pocket does not open or hold much. I was hoping I could put stuff in that does not need refrigeration but that I would still like to keep with food items in there...nope. Only holds a few things maybe some napkins and a few plastic spoons. The side pockets are not any better. They hold my keys and pool pass in the other. Don't expect a lot of room. Smaller than expected; hard liner does not have a hard top December 11, 2013 This cooler is smaller than I had expected and the pockets for additional storage are not what I expected. The hardliner essentially is a white plastic container that is inserted into the soft cooler. There is no hard top and the container insert is not very thick so I am not sure how efficient the cooler will be in keeping things cold for longer than a few hours. I know that gel stays frozen longer and I had no idea what temperature the school keeps the classrooms. Every day these (2 over the food container inside an insulated box) come home completely melted and nothing is cold. My daughter says it is cold at lunch time when she eats her lunch but honestly I am a little leary about that. I guess I need to do a time check over the weekend. Not cool enough for late work lunches July 27, 2016 I had every intention of liking these. They are innovative. I like that they are slim. However, my challenge is my husband's lunchbox. He commutes 1.5 hrs each way and often by the time he eats, he found that these packs not only weren't cold, they were tepid. Granted, my husband's lunch conditions are not ideal, but we had to search for something thicker that did keep his lunch cooler. I ended up passing these on to a friend with a larger canvas cooler and they will work great in that situation. She was thrilled. I bought this specifically to place 10"x 10" pie boxes in to deliver cold pies. The specs say 11.2" x 12.6" which would be perfect. These may be outside dimensions, but interior it is 12" by 8". Not even close to what I need. Can't speak to the ability to keep things cool as I will be returning it. October 21, 2016 I liked the thin design of these so that they would fit easily in the freezer and lunchboxes. I quickly realized that having the thin design is not worth it. It takes at least two of these to keep your meal cold until lunch...and, if you want a snack at the end of the day, even with all four cooler packs, you can forget about it. All of the lunchboxes we use are quality, well insulated lunchboxes that have worked very well with other ice packs. These just aren't quality ice packs. Nope May 21, 2015 These are a nice idea, but miss the mark on function. The size really is wonderful, they take up so much less space than the thicker ice packs. However, they just don't last long enough. The #1 purpose is to keep your food cold, and that is sacrificed with the slim design. I pack my lunch at 8am, and when I eat it at noon (just 4 hours later) the pack is liquid and only the things that are right up against it are still cold. My lunch box is kept inside a large closet that is probably 70 degrees or so. I can imagine that a lunch box kept outside or in an non airconditioned room, or just in a warm area, wouldn't be cold longer than an hour or so. I put three of these in the bag with my cold sandwich, the bag was in the fridge since morning Three hours later the blocks have all melted, the sandwich was no longer COLD. July 11, 2017 I'm a police officer and work a 10 hour shift. I use them for my lunch box. My food does not stay cool and the cool coolers are always melted prior to the end of my shift.
