Side by Side Comparison of: Hamilton Beach vs natcha fon vs OXO vs Greenco

My husband convinced me we NEEDEDoneof these. I wasn't a believer until this came last night about within 5-10 minutes, I had prepped my daughters food for the next week.

I spend a LOT of money on Amazon but never do reviews but this is worth it! It's so hard to pick one of these out but this one has its brand name and price working for it. I LOVE this thing and the accessories that come with it. I just toss stuff in to steam when I start dinner and then when I'm ready i purée it. It couldn't be easier. Easy clean, takes up minimal space on my counter - so glad I didn't spend tons more on the other models out there. If you've read every review on every baby food maker and can't decide let this be your sign - this one is it!

I had given a bad review due to the motor not working anymore, but apparently the lid has to be on just right so that the safety switch is engaged and it works fine now. Wife loves that she can steam and the blades really seem to puree the food just right.

It's good but too many steps and baskets involved but it does the job and good quality

I love the ease of making my little one food with this machine! The only issue I have with it is that it's difficult to clean the water reservoir.

I thought that getting a baby cook machine was totally overkill but this thing is awesome. I wish it was a bit bigger but it's great. I love that you can steam and puree all in one machine.

A great device that's super easy to use and clean! The one thing I MUST mention is that a part of this food maker was recalled by the company-it's the slicer/shredder disk and the piece that attaches it to the device (and the lid, though I'm not sure why). Apparently, a piece of metal can come off of the piece that attaches to the disk and can go into the food you're preparing. I only found this out when I called the company to ask a question about the storage containers that come with it (they ARE microwaveable) and they told me about the recall). They did send me a replacement for free, and when I called amazon to inform them that they're shipping out recalled items, they fully refunded my purchase! I love the device itself (works great and takes up so little room!) but would just give the heads up to consumers to call the company for the replacement part.

So far so good (i've been using it for one month). It does everything in one bowl.The size of it is great and so is the price!I recommend it.

So I love this product for so many things. It purees food really well as long as you're using soft food (ripe fruits, boild veggies, etc). The blade is really good and the best thing about it is that it purees down to small amounts, the thing that normal blenders can't do.The one thing that drove me crazy is how to wash it. For the front part where the vapor goes through for steaming accumulates residues which never go away even when soaked in water. I searched for any info/video on how to but failed. I ended up breaking a small piece and removed that pipe off so I could clean it, and so can't use it to steam food anymore. I succeeded to get the chunky residues off yet it will still collect stuff which increases the risk of bacteria in the food! I'm sharing photos of the dirt and the break.

It just really wasn't as efficient and great as I wanted it to be. It has a lot of pieces and they have to be just so to have it work right. It steam effectively and it worked well it just wasn't actually that much of a time saver or anything. ultimately I was disappointed and returned it since counter space is a premium in our house and I didn't need another device on the counter that wasn't really improving our lives/making them more efficient. Also my device was missing a little gasket and when I wrote Hamilton Beach asking about it they told me the whole thing had been recalled and I should cease using it until they got me new parts for it. It took two weeks for them to get me the parts, they never addressed the missing gasket and so that was it. I sent the whole thing back. Bottom line, it does what it says well enough, it just wasn't actually that great.

Works well, but the blades are so sharp. You can cut yourself easily if not extremely careful.

My baby will not eat the food I try to steam with this thing. I expect bc it smells like it's burning prob has a funky taste.

Not very user friendly. It doesn't really cook the food as it says it does. It took so much power to cook that it blew a fuse in our beaker box. Just using it as a food processor, that I didn't need.

Sad to have to give this 2 stars.I bought this because of the convenience of being able to do everything all in one. However, every time I steam food it leaks, and makes a Huge sticky mess all over the counter. Other than that, it does steam baby food rather quickly, and does blend and puree smooth textures for baby.

This product has all the makings of a perfect baby food maker. The ability to steam cook and purée baby's food in one machine has been a great convenience. No need to cook baby's food on the stove first. The storage containers are also fantastic- I prepare 2 days of solids for baby in one sitting, and can freeze some in these compact storage containers.Two key disappointments with it though. 1) the blender bowl got scratch and crack marks from the blade after just a few uses (see photo attached). Now it looks like we've had it for years when the baby hasn't even been eating solids for more than 2 months. 2) it vibrates to a point of moving around the table a lot when using the purée function. If you don't hold it or if you leave it for a few seconds, it may move all the way over the edge. The food maker really has changed food prep for me, but I really wish the workmanship/durability of the product was more compelling. I'm afraid I may have to replace it much sooner than I expect to.

Dont buy it! A normal magic bullet works best and just cook your food before with water!

I am highly unsatisfied and will never order from Amazon or here again and will cancel my membership! I am a long time Amazon Prime member and ordered this product. My steamer stopped working yesterday and now I am stuck with a product that no longer works and can not return because I am a week out of the return/exchange time frame. Waste of my money and time. Next time ill just buy it at a local store!

This product is extremely disappointing it started having a burning smell from day one, also it doesn't blend smoothly wast of money.

When my baby turned 6 months old, I was trying to look for an all in one device to make my own baby food. This unit is great for slicing, steaming and blending however the plastic holder broke after a month of using it. The holder is very hard to clean. There’s a small valve for steam and if soapy water gets in, very hard to clean.

i really want to love it ,i use it first time ,it works good.but today i use blender to mack my baby food,then i see two scratch on the blender.so i return it.

I bought this baby food maker with the understanding that it was NOT the 36531 model that had been recalled in 2014 for a parts issue. I assumed this was the case as the product description clearly states that it is a 36533 model. However, the product I received in the mail from Amazon was the old 36531 model. I was stunned. Luckily, the customer service rep at Hamilton Beach was extremely nice and accommodating and said that a replacement would be sent right away. I put a one star with the hopes that others will double check their equipment when they receive it. The food maker itself looks great and I highly recommend it!Update: When I originally wrote this review, I was assured by the Hamilton Beach customer service rep that a replacement was on its way. After multiple phone calls over the last few weeks and being told "a label was being made" and "it should only be a few more days" we are now being told it will be 2-4 weeks before we will see the replacement product. I cannot recommend this product due to poor customer service. Thankfully, when we talked to Amazon about our troubles they refunded our money.
