Kept drinks cold for 3 days straight!!!
September 3, 2016
bought this a while ago, and used it for a softball tournament to store drinks in. I got really lazy when I got home and didn't unload the drinks or ice. It was left in my garage which gets really hot (90's). Over the next three days I was able to see how well it insulated the drinks--and they were COLD for at least three days (including the first one), and cool for a fourth. Pretty good test, and passed well. Can't speak to how cold it'd keep food--but did really really well for drinks.
We beat them up pretty good with Nascar trips
March 15, 2016
I just bought my third Igloo MaxCold 60 Roller Cooler. I bought the first one about 10 years ago. The second one I have is about 8 years old. We beat them up pretty good with Nascar trips, camping trips and hunting trips. I don't always remember to dump the water out of them and bring them in. Sometimes they will sit out on our back deck for weeks at a time. One of them has small cracks in the lid and top side of the cooler. That is nothing against these coolers that is because of the abuse we put them through. I have left them out threw snow storms too. These things hold ice great. I have had them out where they get beat on by the sun for part of the day and they will still keep drinks cold for 4-5 days easily. The latches will break due to lots of use, good thing is they are easy to purchase and replace. Reason I bought a third one is because I was looking for new hinges and latches on the Igloo site and they don't have this cooler listed any more. I am thinking they are done making this exact model and I wanted to make sure I have another one ready to go.
Very nice cooler
December 28, 2014
Great cooler. Came shipped with good protection and undamaged. The handle is very sturdy and well designed to tilt an roll the cooler when loaded. The wheels are small in diameter but wide so they roll well. The side handles are large and very easy to grip for lifting in and out of a vehicle which is one of the characteristics I was specifically looking for. This is especially important when the need arises to carry the cooler up and down steps such as around a lake front condo or down to the boat dock. (this was a specific experience) Coolers with just an indentation on the sides for lifting can be very difficult to maintain a grip on when they are fully loaded. I have not had a chance yet to test the hot weather performance of the insulation. So far I have only used the cooler for a hunting trip this past fall during which the temperatures stayed below 50 degrees F.
A big win
September 11, 2014
Our last cooler finally died. So I bought this one with rollers. I have a bad back and wanted to be able to move it myself some. We spent a week at a cabin with it either on the porch or behind the cabin, wherever the shade was. It was during a heat wave of mostly 90's. We started with 3 milk cartons of frozen ice and a couple of bags of loose ice cubes. We did replenish the ice daily. We were not so thrilled with the heat wave but we were pleased that our food did not spoil and it held everything we needed it to. I was able to roll it on the dirt by myself. A big win! Oh and it also survived an hour hail storm in the back of our pickup on the way to the cabin.
best cooler I ever owned
June 10, 2014
This is the best cooler I ever purchased, used it on two camping trips so far, and it keeps contents colder better than anything I ever used before.
The 40Q size is perfect for a two person camping trip and I wouldn't want anything any bigger.
When I was reading reviews, I noticed other people complain about two things. 1 lid not snapping shut and no drain.
The cooler I purchased has a double snapping lid and it works very well.
The other complaint of no drain is true, but I prefer not to have a drain because of issues of having people forget to reinstall them, especially after the cooler is moved into a trunk or worst, a tent'
Last trip was four days, only used ice supply from our fridges ice maker, filled bottom fourth of cooler. cooler was stored in trunk of car during daytime and outside at campsite the rest of the time, temps averaging low to high eighties.
After returning from trip, there was still around 3-4 lbs of ice left.

Great for lunch boxes
September 16, 2017
These are perfect lunch box coolers, and includes four separate packs. They are very slim, enough to put one under food, and one above, or on either side. They also don't take up much room in the freezer.Since they are rather thin, they don't take much time to freeze. They are a perfect size for lunch boxes, but not very helpful for larger coolers.

Love that these are slim and can fit in narrow spaces in lunch boxes!I use 2,one on top of my entree and the other by my beverage to keep them both cool!Still able to fit lots of other stuff in my lunch bag too! These are great space savers!!They also stay cool for around 12 hours, which is nice incase you forget your lunch or forget to unpack your uneaten items quickly once home from work.
Great ice packs!
June 21, 2016
I ordered these after I got some fit and fresh containers and discovered how much I love the thin ice packs. I can slip this into my lunch box around the edges between box and food, slide them in between my sandwich and my drink, and put the smaller sizes into even smaller spaces! They are light weight and do a great job of keeping my food icy cold for hours. I highly recommend them.***Update***I have had these for over a year now and they are still going strong. One of them bulges a bit, but nothing scary. They also fit into Coleman FlipLid 6 Personal Cooler with no problems. The smaller fit and fresh slim ice packs also fit into the lids of the fit and fresh boxes, giving me even more cold in my lunch box without taking up any additional space! I don't know if you can buy those separately, but here is one of the sets I have. Fresh Starts 1 Cup Chilled Lunch Containers with Removable Ice Packs
Great slim ice pack for lunch box
March 18, 2016
These lunchbox ice packs are perfect for using in kids' lunchboxes. My child carries a very slim lunchbox, so as to take up less room in his backpack. (This one: eBags Slim Lunch Box (Black)) This ice pack is perfect for this particular lunch box because it's thin enough not to take up a lot of room in a bag that doesn't have a lot of width to begin with. I can slip the ice pack in the mesh area in the top of his lunch box and have plenty of room left for a growing boy's lunch! The ice packs freeze quickly and, due to their shape, also don't take up a ton of room in the freezer, which is great. They stay frozen quite a while and keep my child's lunch cold until lunchtime everyday. And with a pack of four, I always have extras in the freezer as needed. These ice packs are a really great value for the price. At about $2 each, you get a great ice pack that fits in a lunch box and keeps the fold cold until it's ready to be eaten. You really can't beat that.
Keep Cool and perfect size for Lunch Boxes.
January 9, 2016
These have lasted through 2 school years and been used almost everyday for school and summer camps. We have ordered more because I find they get used a lot...tailgating, road trips, golfing, these things fit into small coolers and hold the cold for a decent amount of time considering the small size and weight. Great product, very happy I came across these when I did. I had always used the larger and bulkier cool packs in the past and found these were a much better solution.
They are awesome, and if you google these
November 6, 2015
Here's how we pack our kiddos lunches:1) Ziploc divided rectangle containers - I don't know why these were ever discontinued! They are awesome, and if you google these, you will see there are so many out there just as disappointed as me! Including Lisa Leake from 100 Days of Real Food, as this was the container she suggested using!2) This luncbox - http://www.amazon.com/Columbia-Northern-Upright-Lunch-HardBody/dp/B00UMY3NK8/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1446852695&sr=1-1&keywords=columbia+lunch+box3) The Fit & Fresh Slim Ice PacksThe above is the winning combo!! I regularly pack string cheese or freshly cut cheddar cheese for my kids lunches. By lunchtime, the cheese would warm and I would find them in their lunchboxes at the end of the day. I'm happy to report that there is no more wasted cheese. It seems to keep the product cool enough until lunchtime. There is condensation/perspiration in the lunchbox at the end of the day, but I would expect that from an ice pack. They are slim, so they don't take up alot of room in the freezer. Since the pack comes with 4, it's the perfect amount to for a family of 5. We currently only pack 2 lunches a day and the 4 works for us.

Amazing
September 21, 2017
This cooler is amazing! Used it on a Sunday with ice and bottles of water and still had ice and water over a week later! We were amazed! Love the nice large size and its mobility with the hand and wheels. Would highly recommend this to anyone!
Awesome cooler for the price!
May 1, 2017
I'm using it as a mash tun for home brewing and it has been great. The drain being on the same side as the handle is nice. That allows me to easily wheel the cooler to the dump pile and empty out all the spent grains without the valve scrapping across the ground. I've only used it a couple times but it holds temperature really well. The size is perfect because it allows me to do some really big 10 gallon batches.
Huge cooler, small price!
February 23, 2017
Great cooler, awesome price too. Love it!
Great cooler.
February 20, 2017
This is an amazing cooler. It keeps tons of food cold for extended times under any circumstances. I was surprised by the amount of space it has and how long ice stays frozen.

Great 5 day cooler
April 2, 2016
Took this to summer camp. It was between 75 and 95 for 5 days and this held our meat. It was able to keep ice when not opened frequently for 3 days without issues compared to our 3day cooler that could not hold ice for 1 day. The wheels make it easy to handle and the size is just right before getting too heavy to lift into the car (results may vary my wife disagrees here). In the end this is the only cooler that holds ice and food this long other than a yeti which is 3x more expensive.Been over a year now. Took it to summer camp again this year and has held up to the wear and tear of monthly campouts and bbqs. It has only had one problem where a handle came loose and snapped back into place without issue. I load it up at least monthly and the boys are into it as well which means it takes a beating. I would buy it again.4/3/17: Cooler still going strong and survived a few summers. I stored it on a shelf and it fell off ripping the lid off but for $6-$10 I can order replacements. I think I will go with the plastic so the hinge breaks and not the cooler. It lasted so long still 5 stars especially for the price.

Great buy!
July 3, 2015
The first time I used this cooler, the ice SO did not last! Maybe 2 1/2 days. HOWEVER there were 7 people going into it a lot on the first day! There is a bit of a gap on the hinge side-- easy to "stuff" to block what little warm air might seep in. No drainage spout, though. It did a very good job of retaining the cold overall. If you never opened it, the ice would probably last [20 lbs] for 4 days. Mine lasted over 3. When not using it with ice, I put my bread in it (in plastic) and this 90° F + doesn't touch it, so my bread lasts longer. The handles are easy to use, including the pull handle (my 6'3" son would have to do some bending) & the wheels are wide enough & strong enough to maneuver it easily. For the quality the price was EXCELLENT! Would I recommend this to my family & friends? Absolutely. It got 4 stars (would actually be 4.5) because of the lack of drainage spout.
Igloo 60 quart wheeled cooler
June 27, 2015
Was a bit worried pending delivery after reading others' various reviews. Cooler arrived promply & appears sturdy except for the plastic hinnges. The drain outlet is NOT in the very bottom so may completely not dump all melted water. Compared this to the similar Coleman & Igloo seems more compact & sturdier AND although it too is plastic, there's a small latch on the lid which is much easier to open than the Coleman pry-open lid. Also: the comparable Coleman I looked at has plastic hinges as well which don't look very durable either.
Good cooler - I use mine for car camping
May 31, 2015
Good cooler - I use mine for car camping. So far the big wheels and sturdy handle have been able to handle the rocks/bumpy terrain with ease. The drain on the bottom is great to get rid of water as the ice melts.

it is wide enough to make fitting through doorways a pain though and 50 quarts is VERY heavy to lift. So if you don't have help this may be too much to haul by yourself. Also, my first trip out I learned that you really need to fill this up with ice from the get go. If you only partially fill it (I think i used an 8 lb bag) the ice melts a bunch just getting the chest cool and the rest is not enough for the next day. So fill it to the brim and then you are all set for multi-day trips!
Good for a day-long outing
July 25, 2012
This is a fine cooler for a day trip, but would not work well for a lengthy camping outing. The size is perfect to pack beverages, snacks, and a couple meals for our family of 4. The longest a 20 lb bag of ice has lasted in the cooler is 30 hours during 85 degree weather. Blocks of ice would probably last longer, but I don't think they would last for more than 2 days. I also suggest making sure all the items you're putting in the cooler are very cold when you pack them.

The two carrying handles seem sturdy, although we've mostly used the long handle for pulling the cooler, which also performed well. The wheels are pretty small, which makes pulling it over rougher terrain a little tricky, but certainly not impossible.

Overall, we're very happy with this cooler and are looking forward to using it for many more adventures.
Igloo MaxCold 40 Qt Wheeled Cooler Review
July 11, 2009
I have been checking out coolers at local stores (Target, Walmart, Kmart, Sears, etc.) and also online. I prefer personal-sized coolers but decided to look for a mid-sized, wheeled cooler that can keep its contents ice cold the longest and which have excellent build quality. This is my introduction to "5 day" coolers.

The Igloo MaxCold 40 qt Wheeled Cooler was purchased on sale for $35 at Target. The size was the draw, not too big to drag along to the beach, barbecues, sporting events, and carry in the car. At the same time, it was big enough to carry drinks and items for an entire day out with the family. Plus the wheels work well and are an appreciated convenience when having to walk a distance with the cooler.

So far, this cooler has kept contents ice cold significantly longer, about 1.5 days longer, than an older Coleman 50 qt cooler. The walls of the cooler and lid are noticeably thicker, which adds more insulation. Average time period that contents remain ice cold is just under 3 days. I pack the cooler using cubed ice and pre-chilled drinks, and was not expecting a full 5 day duration without larger blocks of ice in the cooler. In addition, family members are always going in and out of the cooler, which allows the cold to escape.

The major drawback to this cooler is the absence of a drainage outlet. The drain would help on extended trips, especially when adding new cans and ice to the cooler. Allowing some water to drain would greatly reduce the weight.

Overall, the Igloo MaxCold 40 qt Wheeled Cooler is a good cooler missing one key feature found on most full-sized coolers, a drainage outlet. 4.0 out of 5.0 score, which would be 4.9 with a drainage outlet.

UPDATE August 29, 2015:
Still using this cooler quite a bit, twice a month on average. Still works great, though there are a bunch of stains now. I purchased this for around $32, so the recent prices seem pretty high.

UPDATE June 30, 2016:
Cooler is still going strong. It is now being used about once a month. It is my most useful cooler; not too big as my Coleman Xtreme 50 Quart and not too small as my Igloo Maxcold 16 Quart. This cooler is by far my most used cooler.

UPDATE July 15, 2016:
Attached are some pictures of the Igloo Maxcold 40 Qt Wheeled Cooler that I bought in 2008. Still in great condition, but with a few scratches and stains.

Yup, they are slim
July 24, 2017
When they say slim, they mean slim. These are probably less than 1/2 inch wide. They stay nice and cold, and would be nice around sandwiches, but they aren't going to keep you can of soda cold all day. When used like an ice pad, they last about 20 minutes.

April 13, 2017
These are good think cool packs which i use in a lunch bag. they stay frozen for an hour or two and cool for another hour or so. I don't think you will have success with it trying to use it to cool down something warm or even room temp, but if you are just trying to keep things cool for a few hours, they work perfect and don't take up much room.
Could stand to be a bit thicker/heavier duty but great for the size
December 28, 2016
The cooling capacity seems a bit light, but the package is also conveniently thin. Pack two and you still won't over-burden your kit but you will keep everything cool.
Slim to slide between items!
July 26, 2016
UPDATE: i have had these for just over a year. I'm a teacher and use them daily in my lunch. One of these has started to leak blue goo on my freezer shelf. I took off one star for that, because it is inconvenient. One out of 4 leaking for the first time after a year is pretty good. The bagged blue ice leaks after just a few uses. I still recommend buying this. Having 4 is convenient. These cooling ice packs are my favorite! These last for hours and do a great job of keeping food & drinks cold. I love how slim they are and how easy they are to slide between food or drinks. They take up much less room than other ice packs! Great price on Amazon as well!
Perfect for small Lunch Boxes
February 11, 2016
I like these because they are thin for starters and easier to use in soft side coolers and any smaller item such as a lunch box. The other reason is these dont sweat all over like the older gel packs that were soft sided. And lastly these retain their shape unlike those soft gel packs that stayed in the shape they formed while in the freezer (which was often not a shape I desired or it was uneven).
They stay cool all day
July 13, 2015
I got these coolers for my lunch bag. They work pretty good because the keep my shake and sandwiches cold all morning and when I get home and put them in the freezer they are still cold so the stay cool almost all day.

Does what it says
July 18, 2015
Keeps stuff cold, lid stays open when you open it if on a level surface, unlike some models you have to keep open with one hand or your head while searching for a cold drink or a piece of cheese. Ice does last a couple of days, depending on how hot it is outside and how much you open/close this. Full of ice and 'stuff', it can be pretty heavy, so bet someone they can't lift it out of the truck for you, all it will cost you is a cold drink, but you'll save your back.

July 15, 2015
Only disappointment was lack of quality in attachment of handles. On return to Houston from Portland, OR, I checked it as luggage. When I tried to retrieve it from the conveyor in Houston, a handle at the wheel end fell off. When the large handle was then grabbed, it came loose, leaving only one handle intact.

Needs better wheels
April 14, 2017
The cheap plastic wheels are not up to the standard of the rest of the cooler. They are light weight, don't look very durable, and make a lot of noise when they roll. Other than that I'm happy with the cooler. I would have given it 3.5 stars if I could.
Handle barely functions
January 18, 2016
Great size, wheels have functioned well, holds lots of ice and beers/sodas. Drain plug works well but does leave a small amount of water in the cooler. Biggest issue was the handle. These dang telescopic handles always seem to fail. Why can't someone come up with a better way of doing this that doesn't fail so quickly? I have some pretty quality luggage (maybe not so quality?) that have performed well other than the handle failing just like this.

I can get it to eventually open and close but it takes a lot of jerking it around, shaking, manual pressing in the little buttons into the holes on the poles, etc... frustrating at time. But, it kept my stuff cold, and did a good job of that. A wider cooler also gives you wider access to what you have stored in it, but allows more surface area to be susceptible to melting when repeatedly opening and closing it.

Good Buy
September 10, 2012
There are many coolers on the market and after looking at quite a few I felt this cooler met my needs and the price and free shippoing via prime were nice. NOTE: There is no drainage spout, the lid is not attached but fits quite snug. The cooler keeps drinks food cold and holds ice a few days at a time (approx. 2). Wheels and pull handle make it easy to transport,(the handle could have been a few inches longer). I gave it 3 stars cause its a good size, sturdy and we use it for occasional weekend camping or day beach trips and it works for what we need it for.

September 23, 2017
I bought these for my daughter to take in her snack box to school. She eats an hour and half after school starts and these keep her drink and snack cold. But when I used these to keep drinks cold on a trip to the park, they were melted and room temp within 4 hours. And the drinks were already cold when I put everything in the cooler. So everything that we needed cold quickly lost their chill. Not for long term use.

Great ice packs however they did not keep cold an entire school day.Bought these for my granddaughter for her lunch bag.We have had some hot days in California this summer.By lunch time they were melting a bit.Do like the fact they are slim I was able to fit all 4 of them in her bag.The set comes with 4 slim cool coolers. They are reusable ice packs non-toxic.you can use them in your grocery bags as well for your cold items.
WATER NOT GEL!
September 21, 2017
So after these arrived I double checked the description and it doesn't say if it is gel or water. I wanted gel. I know that gel stays frozen longer and I had no idea what temperature the school keeps the classrooms. Every day these (2 over the food container inside an insulated box) come home completely melted and nothing is cold. My daughter says it is cold at lunch time when she eats her lunch but honestly I am a little leary about that. I guess I need to do a time check over the weekend. But either way payday is next week and I will be buying gel packs. I have not had any leaking or any other problems other then them not lasting long enough. I know have 8 of these taking up space in my freezer. I guess they will come in handy for picnics?
Good but could be better
July 21, 2017
I really like the size of these they're the perfect fit for my lunch box while leaving plenty of room as well as not taking up much space in the freezer. My only complaint is that they do not last long. They keep my lunch cold 4-5 hours which is acceptable as I'll eat my lunch within that time frame but I'd like it if they would keep drinks cold through out the day. I will say I live in Florida and it's extremely hot all the time so I may be expecting to much. For the price I am satatisfied but still searching for coolers that last through the Florida heat.
Not cool enough for late work lunches
July 27, 2016
I had every intention of liking these. They are innovative. I like that they are slim. However, my challenge is my husband's lunchbox. He commutes 1.5 hrs each way and often by the time he eats, he found that these packs not only weren't cold, they were tepid. Granted, my husband's lunch conditions are not ideal, but we had to search for something thicker that did keep his lunch cooler. I ended up passing these on to a friend with a larger canvas cooler and they will work great in that situation. She was thrilled.
Don't last as long as I expected when frozen
February 26, 2015
I bought these to keep my insulated lunch bag cold inside between leaving for home around 7:45am and having lunch around noon. Usually, by the time I have lunch, these have completely thawed out and the contents of the bag are approaching room temperature. For that reason I'm not a huge fan of them, but they are thin, relatively cheap, and fine as long as you aren't keeping something cold for several hours.

August 7, 2016
Would've gave 5 stars but tote handle came apart after loading this thing up, really too bad. Great price, fast delivery, and I hate that it sdidnt live up to my expectations.
Mobility is not good
June 21, 2016
The cooler does a good job of keeping food cold and obviously is quite large. However, the pull handle and wheels are basically useless unless you like your heels being bashed the whole time you're pulling it. A longer or extendable handle would solve this.
Great at cooling, terrible mobility.
July 29, 2015
The handle unattaches every time I try to wheel this cooler if it's more than half full. Very difficult to maneuver or drag. That said, it did a nice job of retaining ice in the summer sun.

Keeps items cold but badly designed drain.
May 30, 2016
The cooler keeps items cold for 3+ days in 80 degree ambient outside temperature. Drain is badly designed and breaks easily. The drain on my cooler broke within the first fifty feet of wheeling it to the beach! I ended up going to a hardware store the fist day of use and made my own LEAKPROOK drain.
One day ice retention and NO DRAIN.

Added pre-cooled drinks and ice at 8am...took on a camping trip. By 9:30pm (13.5 hr later) about 75% of ice gone. So obviously not a 5 day ice retention cooler as advertised. Added more ice every day of 3 day trip. Later at home it did hold ice for a couple of days, indoors, in the A/C. When I went to drain out the water...discovered it has NO DRAIN! Managed to spill some of the drink cans out. Couldn't imagine a heavy 40 qt cooler without a drain. I've owned lots of coolers...I used to think highly of Igloo, but conclude Coleman makes a better low cost wheeled cooler. (I'm not going to spend $400 on a Yeti). I'd return it if I could but I waited too long before first use.
On the plus side it is well built...sturdy handle and strong lid. Lid pops off and on easily. Would be OK for a day trip.

Kept contents cold for 72 hours, adding ice every 24. A water drain would have also been handy. Unfortunately, one of the handles broke the first time it was lifted while full. Upon inspection, the handle screws were only about 3/8 inch long. Disappointing.
Disappointing

This cooler DOES NOT keep ice for more than a day! This past week we were in southern TN, average mid 80's temps. Cooler was kept in shade under the camper We added 10lbs of ice every morning. to maintain chilled beverages and produce. It was 90% gone the next morning. Certainly not enough ice to last another day. The lack of a drain is annoying although its not hard to tip the cooler to drain excess water.

I would rate this useful for day trips only. Not what we though we were buying.

the picture made these look like they were much larger than they are - bought to use in the wheeled tote and way to small - disappointed - should have been pictured next to a ruler so you can tell as the picture was so blown up it was deceiving
Do not stay frozen long.
May 30, 2017
I am not a fan of these at all. They are filled with a watery fluid instead of a gel. They sweat and do not stay frozen for long. I have to use at least two of them just to keep my lunch cool until time to eat it.
Don't trust them to keep things cool very long
February 21, 2017
These don't stay cold very long. Whereas other ice packs I've used for school lunches come back still mostly frozen at the end of school in an insulated lunch bag, these are completely liquid again by the end of school. Don't trust them to keep things cool very long.
I've had to start moving things to a fridge as soon as I get to work so they don't go bad.
December 10, 2016
These only stay cold for about 3 hours. I use 2 in my lunchbag, and my bag is room temperature all day. I pack it at 8 in the morning, and open it up around 11:30 or 12 noon, and they are usually unfrozen, and the contents of the bag (soda can, sandwich/salad, ect. Typical lunch) are just barely cold. I've had to start moving things to a fridge as soon as I get to work so they don't go bad.
Not Cool Coolers...
October 21, 2016
I liked the thin design of these so that they would fit easily in the freezer and lunchboxes. I quickly realized that having the thin design is not worth it. It takes at least two of these to keep your meal cold until lunch...and, if you want a snack at the end of the day, even with all four cooler packs, you can forget about it. All of the lunchboxes we use are quality, well insulated lunchboxes that have worked very well with other ice packs. These just aren't quality ice packs.
Nope
May 21, 2015
These are a nice idea, but miss the mark on function. The size really is wonderful, they take up so much less space than the thicker ice packs. However, they just don't last long enough. The #1 purpose is to keep your food cold, and that is sacrificed with the slim design. I pack my lunch at 8am, and when I eat it at noon (just 4 hours later) the pack is liquid and only the things that are right up against it are still cold. My lunch box is kept inside a large closet that is probably 70 degrees or so. I can imagine that a lunch box kept outside or in an non airconditioned room, or just in a warm area, wouldn't be cold longer than an hour or so. I'll see if two packs will fit in my lunch box, otherwise will go back to the thicker ones that are still FROZEN after 4 hours!!!

The size is good for my fishing trip
October 3, 2017
The size is good for my fishing trip. The wheels and handle frequently fell off which I don't think you would like to experience. Lost it last week without knowing. Trying to look for a replacement wheels, cant find it here at amazon.com or even coleman.com. A bit disappointed. bought this November 2016. Less than 15 fishing trips used.
Not for the two of us
September 10, 2017
We returned it, at a cost. Too big to wrangle for our camping trips.
Not a good buy at all

It did not keep our ice frozen for the duration that it said it would. Not a good buy at all...

The handle is USELESS! This cooler is too large for the handle to pull the loaded cooler so the handle pops off everytime. This cooler is large and seems to keep ice well but don't plan on taking it on a picnic!
Lid sticks BADLY
July 26, 2016
Nice quality cooler but impossible to open without something to pry the lid open. Considering sending it back.Update: Contacted company and got a very timely and courteous answer. They said it would loosen up with use. Will see how that goes.
I will spend more money to get better quality.
June 19, 2016
I've had it a year, and the top has broken off, and the wheels need to be put back together all the time. It's a cheap cooler, so you can't really have high expectations. Next cooler I buy, I will spend more money to get better quality.

Crappy design

Used cooler about 10 times. Latch broke from plastic fatigue at hinged part
NOT as advertised
July 23, 2015
I ordered these cooler because it advertized as '5 day cooler' but it is NOT. I tested on my week long trip and it kept ice just for 2 days, then I did the same test in my apartment with room temperature 70-75F and same result, ice melted in two days. So i requested replacement thinking one i received might be the ONLY defective one. Even for replacement cooler same issue. Ice wont last long both in the trip or in my apartment, these time ice melted in less than two days. So finally I gave up and returned it.
Horrible!!
July 23, 2015
It broke the second time I used it. I had ordered one before and it only lasted three uses. I wish they could make an ice chest that would last. $120 later and no ice chest. Horrible!!!
Very poorly made!
July 6, 2015
Took this camping with us for the first time over the holiday weekend. While pulling it up to the campsite from the car up a very small incline, the handle just came out and a bunch of our food fell out all over. I could have cried. Very disappointing, especially considering how costly it was. I thought Igloo made quality products and this would last for years. Very unhappy with this purchase.
DON'T BUY THIS COOLER
July 12, 2014
DON'T BUY THIS COOLER unless you purchase hinge replacements at the same time. The second time I used it was for camping during the July 4th Holiday 2014. Both hinges that keep the lid attached to the base broke. This was very frustrating! I previously had 2 Igloo coolers exactly like this that lasted for years. Igloo has chosen to use cheap, thin plastic for the hinges and they are worthless.

Do not stay cold for more than two or three hours indoors.
September 27, 2017
I have to say find another product!. I wanted use these to keep a sandwich cold in my insulated bag. I am 74 years old and confined to a wheelchair. I did not want to go from the bedroom to the kitchen in the middle of the night. The temperature inside the house is 74 degrees. I put three of these in the bag with my cold sandwich, the bag was in the fridge since morning Three hours later the blocks have all melted, the sandwich was no longer COLD. Fortunately the meat and mayo was still cool, another hour and the sandwich would have been in the trash. If you use these for your child's lunch box, don't give him/her anything like mac. salad or chicken salad (mayo based). Really, I would find a better product, the 'Blue Ice' blocks stay cold much longer.
Save your $$$

Waste of money. These are very thin and do not stay frozen very long.
Does not stay frozen long enough
September 10, 2017
I bought these to replace my kids' lunch blox blue ice coolers. They are the perfect size to keep sandwiches cold but they do NOT stay frozen. My kids said they were completely melted by lunch and not even cold! My lunch blox coolers would still be frozen when the kids got home from school. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
Useless

Don't buy!
July 11, 2017
I'm a police officer and work a 10 hour shift. I use them for my lunch box. My food does not stay cool and the cool coolers are always melted prior to the end of my shift. Yes they are kept in a insulated lunchbox in my patrol car.
Keep on lookig
