Great cooler! Bought it for my daughter and son in law to use on their new covered patio! They are thrilled and look forward to using it!
Party necessity!

Perfect size for parties. Very nice the box can be used without the rolling base. Only drawback there needs to be a permanent label attached noting amount of ice required.
Rio Brands Entertainer Rolling Party Cooler
June 17, 2013
Bought for a gift for my stepfather. He was thrilled! The lid is plastic, but that isn't an issue. It will be a beautiful addition to their newly remodeled patio. The stand rolls super smoothly. I read a review that complained that the cooler did not attach to the stand, but "sat" on it, which made me nervous that the cooler could fall off. But there is a ledge that the legs fit snugly into that prevent any slipping or sliding. The legs have an slip on rubber top so it won't scratch off any of the powder coating. Plus, I actually kind of like that it lifts off the stand for winter storage. I have zero complaints with this cooler!
Great Cooler at a great price
August 1, 2011
I have been looking at patio coolers as I entertain often. This cooler was the least expensive and I feared it would be a cheap product. I am pleasantly surprised that it is a sturdy cooler that maintains the ice for quite sometime! I am happy with my purchase and the $$$$ saved!

Wonderful cooler. Not a single negative. Looks somewhat small compared to what you can put in it. And the cart is great. Very smooth. I would definitely recommend.

Great for the beach. Easy to move and hold a lot of items.
Love how it collapses
August 28, 2015
Wow!!! Seriously this thing is the bomb! Love how it collapses, love how tall the handle comes up, love how attractive it is, love how the lining comes out to clean and it's leakproof!!!! Love the small flip top for a quick grab, love that's it's Columbia. This is worth every penny. Perfect size too. 😍

August 14, 2016
Cooler seems like it could use more insulation. Ice melts quite quickly. Also the cooler was dented when we received it. More hassle to mail it back then it was worth to keep it, as is.
Good cooler
February 13, 2016
Very good sturdy cooler. Keeps ice really good. Love the convenience of have a cart to sit on with rollers.
Great for Parties
July 17, 2013
This is a great "large" size rolling cooler and does away with the nasty ground level ice chests. The chest is designed to securely set over the stand making it convenient to wheel around and locate in best place. Also, easy lift off of stand when you need to place in car and take somewhere. The double lid is great planning to use one side more than the other. Love that is has the drain screw, and bottle opener. Only slight flaw (BUT NO PROBLEM) is the easy lift off does make it tough if you have to wheel it over something....meaning if you lift by handles, it comes off the stand so would have been nice if made with lock for those times...but other than that, PERFECT for any party.. I recommend this for Sodas, Wine Bottles, Bowls of food...anything that needs to be kept cold during an event

Cooler does hold a lot. Moves with ease and the handle folds down easily. Being soft sided things fall over when trying to load the cooler up. Soft uneven bottom.

This cooler works pretty well. The only thing I have an issue with is how it stays on the wheels, which is not the greatest. It's to be expected for a cloth like cooler. With traveling, this is a great cooler.

i kinda felt like if i hit a bump
August 5, 2017
i put a ton of ice in it then filled with Ben & Jerrys ice cream for a school function. the legs did not bend. only down side, the ice chest part "sits" on the rolling legs, so there is NOTHING securing them together....no clamp, no clasp, no hook, no lock. i kinda felt like if i hit a bump, while rolling it around, the ice chest could easily dislodge from the legs. .
The cooler portion is nicely constructed. The legs are flimsy
June 20, 2017
The cooler portion is nicely constructed. The legs are flimsy. The cooler just rests on the legs which if you are actually rolling it around, the base tends to fall off. Also we used the cooler sort of non-traditionally to keep drinks cool during a parade. On our 1.5 mile walk through the streets of queens we destroyed the legs. They bent at an angle and wouldn't bend back. Don't use it too aggressively.

I like it but VERY Disappointed it came with some rust spots inside and on the inside lid that I can't get to come off. Trying to decide if I should return it but want to use it for a party this weekend. Should have listened to some of the reviews.
poorly made
August 18, 2014
I purchased this as a house warming gift. When I visited the person they were using it but I could see it wasn't very sturdy and each time they opened it they were afraid of it toppling over. Someone else stated they had one but the stand broke because of the weight of the cooler filled with ice water and bottles. I wouldn't buy again.
Attractive - Base Needs to be Stronger
March 6, 2014
We are an event company and use coolers for everything from holiday socials punch products to icing down waters. The cooler is very attractive and holds a good amount of product. Unfortunately, because we move it around quite a bit, the base is not as sturdy as I would like. We will need to shore it up internally to make the product last for us. If you are not moving the coolers around that much, it is a good product.

cooler is loosly strapped on rolling support.
June 19, 2016
I wanted a rolling cooler attached to the rolling part instead I get a cooler attached by 2 small straps to the back rolling support. I love the rolling part it is quiet and does not click clack down the hall. The support is ok. The security of the bag to the support is non existent. I am disappointed. I had to go buy bungee cord tie downs to hold cooler on rolling stand.

June 16, 2016
Bag needs to be more secure to roller part. Unless you bungee cord it, the bag flops off. Otherwise, keeps food cool
Glad I Splurged
August 19, 2015
It's true, it's a little pricey, but it's Columbia. The zippers are great, the easy access hole in the top is great, the pocket is large, but the best part is the easily removable lining for cleaning. Only problem is it's not for rolling on grass. The wheels can only roll well on the sidewalk.

Broken seal

Looks good but when I fill it the chest expands and leaves a gap between the lid and the chest and cool air escapes and doesn't work well as a cooler. Which I had used it earlier. To late to return

the base of the cooler is two parts. there is nothing that holds them together.
I was just appointed, I would recommend a different cooler.

When it arrived, it had two dents. The legs and wheels are shipped inside the ice chest. For some reason the legs caused rust marks which were very difficult to get out. I would recommend a different cooler.
Multiple problems
July 21, 2016
Cooler arrived dented on the outside and with rust stains on the inside (from where the metal legs that were packaged inside were touching the cooler). Not able to completely scrub out stains. Got this for a good price, but should have paid a little more for something better quality.

July 31, 2014
We were having a family get together over the July 4th, and the legs/frame collapsed. We didn't have anywhere near the capacity in the cooler, and when we rolled the cooler (on concrete) to the patio the entire frame bent forward to the ground. We were very disappointed with the quality given the amount of money we paid for the cooler.
Weak Construction
September 13, 2013
The cooler section is very well built and works extremely well. Don't try moving it when its full. The leg assembly is flimsy and just collapsed. Thin tubular welded construction is not enough.I saved the rollers and built a 1-1/2 PVC pipe assembly, painted black. Wasn't worth replacing if I was going to get another weak leg configuration. Now it's fine and actually looks pretty cool.

Disappointed
June 24, 2016
I was so excited to purchase these for our trip to Talladega. I got two so my parents could have one also. I thought these would be great to bring into the track as it meets the size requirements. The only issue is - that when you are rolling it the bag falls right off the roller. The only thing holding it on there is a velcro strap and it is not enough. I think we spent more time stopping and putting it back on the roller than we did walking. It was very frustrating. I think if it had a big velcro strip on the bottom of the bag to attach to the roller and the strap for the back when around the entire bag it may be better.
Major Design Flaws -
May 10, 2016
Had read both pros and cons on this item and decided to give it a try anyway. Some major flaws without a doubt. The fact that the cooler is loosely velcroed to the frame is a nuisance but even worse is that once it is loaded and you pull it around and and move it around, the bottom frame retracts for some unknown reason and the whole thing falls forward upsetting everything that might be upright in the cooler. Had bought in hoping to replace a very nice one similar to it from Sam's Club that we bought years ago but it just doesn't cut the mustard. As soon as we can find a better made item this will end up at the Goodwill. Sure wish we could find the one we had before - it was the best. I would not spend the money on it again for sure. The picture I am enclosing is what it looks like every time after we load it with food. Very frustrating.

Rusty inside!
September 13, 2016
When it came in the box, the legs and accessories were inside the cooler, staining the cooler because of the rust. I had to spend about half an hour, scrubbing the rust off the inside of the cooler. Other than that, it worked just as it was described.
make sure to look at what you buy even if its a future present!
September 6, 2016
Saw this and bought it for my daughter's bridal shower 2016, we just took it out of the box and it was cracked, it leaks. too late to return it, such a disappointment for all that money paid for it. Not such a nice present after all.
Skeptical of "new" condition
January 12, 2015
Item arrived on time, but had dirt all over inside of cooler and a huge dent in the side of the exterior of the cooler. I had to give this as a gift to my in laws and was embarrassed of the condition and the dirt. They, of course, wanted to keep it (didn't want to further my embarrassment I presume).
Not Happy
July 20, 2014
I am not happy with the Rio Brands Entertainer Rolling Party Cooler (77 Quarts, Midnight Sands). I had to return two of them due to dents on the front and back. Third one I received was set up on the stand, ice and bottles of water was put in the cooler. As it was being wheeled into the room where it was to be used, it had to go over a small rubber bump. When it went over the bump, stand bent and began to collapse. I feel if this product is going to continue to be sold, the stand needs to be stronger. I would not at this time recommend this item to my family and friends.

The cooler itself is fine, but if you plan to actually use this ...
July 4, 2014
Within 15 minutes of adding things to the cooler, the base/legs started to buckle and bend. It claims a 100 12oz can capacity, but the cart started to collapse with 5 or 6 plastic serving trays of jello shots, and one empty glass baking dish. You could chalk this up as a one-off, but we purchased 6 of these for a few of our offices and 3 of them had the same issue. The cooler itself is fine, but if you plan to actually use this as intended and roll it around, I'd stay away.

Dolly fell apart after half mile walk to track
Had one for years and loved it. New one is a big disappointment.
September 4, 2016
Have the previous version seveeral years old, and wanted one where the zippers worked. New one is a GREAT disappointment. Cooler bag itself is fine, but the straps securing it to the frame are not nearly as sturdy as the ones on my old Columbia rolling cooler. Also the frame and handle are flimsy compared to my old one. The bottom expandable section collapses back in without warning. Fortunately, I did not throw out the old one. I intend to cut off the new velcro stuff, trash the new handle and frame and sew the far more robust velcro attachments onto the new cooler (thankfully, the plastic waterproof insert is removable, so I can sew without making it leaky) and mount it on the old frame/handle/wheels. They took a great product and turned it into a piece of crap. I recommend that nobody buys this shabby shadow of what was once a great product
Horrible Cooler
August 6, 2016
This Roller cooler stinks compared to all the Roller coolers I have ever had! Zero side wall support and structure and after 2 uses the inside liner is ripped! It probably came ripped! I would throw this one away!
Leaks like Niagara Falls

Leaks like Niagara Falls. Does not keep ice. Won't stay upright.Being Columbia I thought it would met their standards, but disappointed.Should have gotten a Gator. Worst product I EVER bought.
Skinny, ill-fitting straps that attached to the handle
November 28, 2015
I liked the size, the colors, the looks, the thick insulation, the leakproof lining that you can detach for easy cleaning. What I really didn't like is the way the bag is attached to the trolley - by two skinny, loose-fitting straps at the back (see photo #1), and none at the base. When the bag is loaded, it slips and slides around on the trolley-base, making it very cumbersome and difficult to handle. Compare this to the Frige-To-Go brand wheeled coolerbag that has a broad and snug-fitting fabric band at the back, with double strips of velcro (see photo #2 and #3), plus four small velcro tabs at the base, two on each side (photo #4), making it extremely sturdy.Whenever this trolley bumps along uneven flagstones, or is dragged down a low kerb, the loaded cooler bag will slide OFF the base -- the skinny straps do NOTHING to hold it! I am a small-sized senior citizen, and I find it extremely aggravating to have to lift the heavy bag onto the trolley time and again. The problem is temporarily solved using a luggage strap - as shown in photo #5. You may want to consider doing the same if you are having the same problem.
