Product looks awesome. Better than I thought it was going to be.

This mat is used by a front door that is covered but still exposed to the elements. First, I have to say that it's the best doormat I've found yet and I've tried quite a few. I can actually see the sand that it traps and if I'm seeing it on the mat, that means it's not going into the house. The last mat I had did not do well if it rained; it became heavy, soggy and took days to dry out. This mat is much, much better in that aspect. When wet you can still wipe your feet on it and it dries pretty quickly. It's easy to clean. You can either shake it out or you can hose it off. The mat feels soft if you walk on it with bare feet. I've had for well over a month and not one complaint. Worth every cent.

This is a REALLY nice entry mat. I purchased the 3' x 5' and it looks great on my hard wood floor in front of my slider. It doesn't fit perfect but for the price this is great. I was comparing this rug to the Waterhog rugs and I am happy I decided to go with this. The basket weave design makes it look less industrial plus, the other rugs were more than double the price of this.

This is the great mat for the backyard patio sliding door area. Our Lab thought highly of it as well when she attempted to eat it. At that point, we had to have a sit down conversation on how this is something for the backyard and NOT something for consumption. I believe she got the concept and no longer looks at it as food. But perhaps something to sit on. Communication is key.

We only received this little doormat just this afternoon, but overall I'm already impressed! It's much nicer than I was expecting for the price and seems to be high quality. Another bonus is that it is made of recycled tires -- less of those things in the landfill!

I bought this to go by our back door where we are constantly letting the dogs in and out. Because of the nature of our "open space" neighborhood, we have to go out with them, which involves some fairly slushy boots and shoes coming through the back door regularly. I was growing weary of cleaning up puddles of melted snow and ice, so decided to give this mat a try. First off, it's substantial. It seems to be very solidly made. It appears to have some sort of fibers imbedded in the rubber on the top side of the mat in and around the pattern. These aren't squishy or anything, but rather just a part of the rubber design. Secondly, the embossing is deep enough that it would probably catch a fair amount of snow and water. We've only tracked a small amount of snow in onto it, but it has melted off and evaporated (radiant floor heating in the high desert means quick-drying rugs!). I have a feeling this will be really easy to clean, too -- I can probably throw it in the utility sink in the Winter or hose it off in the Summer.

I wish the backing was better at preventing it from moving but otherwise love it. Vaccums cleanly and in the meanwhile it traps all the crap that would have been dragged in from outside. Only issue is when my dog pushes it out of place.

These rugs are great. Liked them so much I bought four. They are great at catching dirt and they look nice. A couple things to be aware of - they do tend to slip and slide. I'm sure this could be fixed with a gripping rug pad under them. I have all hard floors and am constantly having to slide them back in place. I think the company could improve them to prevent this. Also, make sure you have a good vacuum to clean these off. If your vacuum is sub-par, good luck getting these clean - they really grip on to dirt, cat hair, and everything else that gets on them.

This mat is next to our sliding door to catch the dirt and leaves when we or the dogs come and go. It isn't soft to stand on in bare feet because of the deep grooves to trap dirt. The mat is true to size and does its job well while looking nice.

I had hoped it would be non-skid because of the backing but it slides around on our wood floor. I will have to attach one of those stick-on rug holders because I don't like having to push it back into place several times a day or risk it sliding out from under us. I shake out the rug every other day so I'm not sure if the rug holder will survive that amount of movement for long.

This is a well-priced, high-quality rug with a sturdy, well-made backing. While the textured design is attractive, it's also laborious to clean, and simply running the vacuum across it doesn't work well. To get it clean requires manual detailing, so I wouldn't recommend this for use with dogs unless you're up for the extra work in order to keep it looking good. It would make a great mat just inside a door leading in from the outdoors.

I like this little rug and would have preferred something larger. That is my fault for not buying a larger mat and not the manufacturer's fault! The only set back is that my cats shed and the hair gets caught in the textured mat. The mat requires frequent cleaning but all in all a nice piece for inside the front door. Inside because people trek in mud, leaves and such when they come in.

I love the design, color and size. However, the backing is not completely "rubber". It slides on my wood flooring. Not sure why !!!!
Could not recommend because of this issue.

I had a terrible time with these mats sliding on my outside pool deck, front porch (painted), and inside on wood floor. It was actually dangerous I had a few people slide on them and lucky they were able to catch their balance. I don't know if they are made or coated with an
oil base product. We ended up putting them on concrete and they are working much better.

I've had this Apache Mills "Iron Lattice" design mat for almost two years. Originally when I selected it I was very attracted to the unique gridded (textured) iron lattice design and the price. However now having had significant experience living with the mat (outdoors) I would not buy this particular design again. Why? Various debris and my dog's hair seems to want to stick to this type of design and it always appears "dirty." I've used a leaf blower, broom, shaken it and even a vacuum cleaner and I still can't keep it clean looking. However, that being said it is nicely constructed, cleans dirt off shoes, has proved to be durable and is extremely well priced. I did find a different Apache Mills mat design that I now prefer. It's the Apache Mills (60-043-1410) Rib mat. It has a very simple pattern of straight lines which I've found does not hold on to debris and is so much easier for me to keep clean.

Ok, it's a nice mat. But it's 1/2 the price at Home Depot.

I like it, except for two things -- but they are due to the particular location where I'm using the mat. You may not have the same considerations.

Let me say the construction of the mat is excellent. It wears well and stays put. That's why I've kept it despite my relatively minor nitpicks.

First, it collects pet hair like crazy, requiring the use of a rotating brush on my handheld vac and lint roller. Plus, the indentations of the design tend to collect debris that my handheld vac has trouble removing. I've found that shaking/beating produces better results. The mat's small size makes it difficult to clean with my big vac.

This rug is beautiful and just what I wanted. It does trap dirt well, absorbs water from snow boots and dries quickly. The drawbacks are it is difficult to vacuum because of the lattice design. Small things like grass etc. get caught in the depression marks of the lattice design. The design keeps the vacuum from getting a good suction into the deeper parts. My biggest complaint is after a few months the molded rubber backing is cracking and leaving little rubber crumbs all over the floor. The back is falling apart. I am very disappointed because I love the look of the rug I just hate the mess.

I originally received the item and thought it was high quality. Within one week of usage the material/threading has come loose from the rest of the carpet, leaving it bare in the front left portion of the carpet facing my entry door. It has not had undue usage, just normal walking in and out. Thought that it would last much longer based upon its original appearance and feel. Rubber seems strong, but it doesn't matter if the visual appeal is lacking.

Smaller than I intended. And it catches every cat hair. I keep it on the porch. The good part is the animals haven't torn it up with their claws.

Disappointed: I did order the larger, 2 x 3 feet mat (24 x 36 inches) for $13.97, but received the smaller, 18 x 30 inch mat instead. The website lists the larger mat for $13.97 and the smaller mat for $20.06. I think the website is wrong and needs the be corrected.

I bought two of these because of the glowing reviews that they trap dirt and water before tracking it inside. They do neither. For the record, our yard is more dirt than grass and we have a gravel driveway. That said, we aren't exactly tracking in construction site level dirt and water here. Even using a boot brush, scuffing our feet over an old bristly door mat, and then wiping our feet on this one before entering the house, you would think we hadn't wiped our feet at all. We still have to take our shoes off outside or just after entering, otherwise dirt is tracked all through the kitchen. It doesn't even help with slightly damp dog paws ... he still makes a paw print trail after coming in. While an attractive door mat, I would not recommend if you actually need it to help with dirt and/or water.

We purchased this rug online for our front door entryway because we had bought a similar one at Lowe's roughly 7-years prior. We purchased this same style rug again because the first one held up so great, was waterproof and had the necessary low profile that allows us to open our front door.
The rug we received is exactly as we expected, except this rug has been sprayed with some type of slick coating material. It was so slick that I took it outside to wash it twice now to attempt to remove the coating -once with Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner and Degreaser and once with Dawn dish soap- to no avail.
Wherever the rug touched our hardwood floors, it left some of this slick coating. The rug would not stay in place, so we had to purchase an underlayment to keep it from moving. However, even with the underlayment, the rug still shifts, and I find myself adjusting the rug's position daily. In addition, because the rug still shifts and leaves a slick reside on the hardwood floor, I have to wash the floor near the rug in order to prevent people wearing socks from falling. Don't buy this rug online.
The good news, I have recently seen and felt this rug at Bed, Bath and Beyond and it did not have the slick coating. My husband also, saw it as Lowe's.

The goal is to get your shoes clean before entering the house. I found everything stuck to the mat from grass to an errant bird feather (or worse poo) . It even grabbed bits of dog hair as my dog went out and the mat refused to release it. You can never get it clean. I even tried to use the power washer but stuff you don't want stuck on your doormat refuses to be released from the grip of the Velcro like mat. I ended up throwing it out.

It's not 2' by 3'. It's only 18" by 30". Not sure if it is miss labeled or if they sent the wrong mat. Looks to be durable though. Just not the size I wanted.

Unfortunately we've had this for a few weeks and I hadn't noticed that one of the edges does not have a clean cut which is making it fray. I would have sent this back as defective since it is. I suspect it is too late now. It's just in our bar area so doesn't get much attention. I went to vacuum it today and noticed it. I'm very unhappy. Check it carefully if you order it. This is definitely a "second"....one side is completely screwed up. So upset about it. I didn't check the edges when I put it down. Now I am 2 days too late to return it. DON'T BUY THIS!!!!

I bought two of them for indoor use for front and back doors. Though they look stylish and do catch the dirt (and whatever stuff people bring from outside), they have a hard time staying put on the wood floor. The plus side is that my cats use the floor mats as scratching posts, and they hold up pretty well.

Update: I lowered the rating to one star because the product seemed to make my cat, who liked to rest on it, lose half of his tummy hair. There is also a bold spot on his side the shape of the mat's pattern. I wondered what could have caused the hair loss.
