The instructions were easy to follow and my niece and I were able to get it put together within a couple of hours. but I carefully spread everything out on the floor exactly like the diagramDecember 5, 2016 I was afraid when UPS delivered this that is would be damaged because there was a large dent/tear in the flat side of the box, but I managed to get it inside my house and then wondered what I had gotten myself into; it was very heavy. I'm almost 73 years old with back, knee & hip problems and cannot sit on the floor nor kneel, but I carefully spread everything out on the floor exactly like the diagram. I put all the nuts, bolts, etc. in a glass bowl and went exactly by the instructions. I is PERFECT! It sits inside my entertainment center with my 40" Smart TV my daughter sent me. I think it is beautiful and it blends so well with the "Real Oak" entertainment center I've had for over 20 years. I'm attaching a picture but it looks even better in person. May God Bless. Sauder TV StandOctober 10, 2016 Nice looking piece of furniture, Not difficult to assemble, instructions are easy to understand. At the end of the the assembly you do need a second pair of hands to turn over the unit in order to complete the job. I have purchased several Sauder products and so far has not disappointed. Before ordering it, I compared it to many other TV stands but I didn't like that most of them were 'cheap'ly made. I have purchased other products from 'Sauder' & have been very happy with them too. | Nice piece, poorly packagedSeptember 11, 2017 Very attractive, fits my space perfectly, well written instructions, easy to put together, seems sturdy. I think it took me about 1 hour to put together, but I didn't time myself. They shorted me one shelf pin, but I had a spare lying around that was the right size, so no big deal. Only complaint is how it was packaged. Everything loose in the box with a couple of pieces of styrofoam that were also loose, so they didn't protect anything, but shed everywhere and made a mess. Several pieces were scuffed or chipped on the edges, but thankfully most of them were chipped in places that don't show. The one place is does show is not bad enough to be worth the hassle of sending it back. For the price, I'm happy. Very nice. The stickers on the pieces came off but if you take your time and read the instructions it wasn't too difficult to put together. I build and assemble things regularly so I knew what I was getting into but two hours later we had the stand together and were watching TV. Meets my expectations - packaging could improveMay 8, 2014 I had to return the first unit that I ordered. It was received with a gouge on the top surface. The packaging was such that the top surface was placed in the package last, with the cardboard box being the only protection for it. A small gouge in the box resulted in gouge on the top surface of the unit. Additionally, the same board was cracked because apparently since it was packed on top, it had no support below a corner side. Either in storage or shipping, something heavy was placed on the edge of the box causing the top board of the unit to crack. Fortunately, I contacted Amazon and had the package picked up at my house the next day. The replacement unit did not have any damage. However, the instructions indicated that all the parts had letter identifiers with either a stamp or a label. Some of the parts did not have labels or stamps. Although, this was not a major problem, it is indicative of a quality issue with Sauder's product packaging. As for the unit itself, I like it. It is the style of unit I was looking for. | | | | |

For the price I should have expected it was particleboard. It will do the trick as a TV stand for now, but probably not forever this is a good looking piece of furniture in my dad's living room ...January 21, 2017 Plus is that once finally assembled, this is a good looking piece of furniture in my dad's living room and nicely blends in with existing pieces. Downside is that it took almost three hours to assemble by my son who is a mechanical engineer. Now granted engineers do like everything perfect, so power tools were used to line up holes that did not match properly. Slight damage in back of unit, but that cannot be seen. If I had not put it all together I would have sent back because of the dings but they were not bad enough to go through the hassAugust 24, 2016 Product was much darker than represented on the website. Also there were many dings especially on the corners of the top. Very cheap and not worth the money Watch Out for Manufacturing DefectsOctober 16, 2016 My purchases from Sauder in the past have been of good quality, but not this one. The TV Stand sent to me came with two major defects...both manufacturing defects. The first was a wrinkle in the finish on the top horizontal piece of the unit and the second was a broken vertical piece (K) on the bottom that was glued back together to hide the fact that it was broken. Since these pieces are on the top and front of the unit they are easily seen. I didn't find these defects until I was 80% complete with putting it together so I just finished the unit. I didn't have the energy to disassemble the unit and return it. Surface crack on topDecember 25, 2015 It looked like the packaging was secure and well supported, etc. My 30 yr old son put it together for me and it went together fairly easy. It took him a little over an hour. I love the look of it and the size is perfect! When he got all finished and stood it right side up, I noticed a crack on the top surface. It doesn't go all the way through though. I was disappointed, but didn't want to make my son take it all apart and hassle with returning it. I put some scratch cover on it and polish and it's somewhat ok. Just be sure to look every piece over very carefully before you start to put it together. This item is a piece of garbage.
