Work well for me.
September 18, 2017
I bought these suspenders because a pair that I had purchased several years ago were much too elastic to work well considering all the stuff that I carry in my pockets and attached to my belt. I was looking for a flexible but not highly elastic set of suspenders. These Carhartt suspenders are working well for me. They meet my criteria. I don't use them for dress up but just for casual around the house wear and for that task they are just right.

Great product! Put them on in the morning and forget about them AND having to adjust your pants every few minutes. Can't believe I went this long without a quality set of suspenders. These babies grab the fabric and lock down on it and won't budge until you activate the release. So, if you're an old phart like me and need suspenders these are for you. Thank you.
awesome strong clips

Carhartt suspenders ROCK, my last set i had for over 20 years and wore them every day, and they just bit the duct a little bit ago, reason why i bought a new set, awesome strong clips, don;t tear or rip the waist line out on my pants, elastic straps great for movement and bending over, these things just flat out Rock !

loved these right away--first pr i have ordered from amazon that actually works--very heavy duty--no slipping of clips off my jeans like so many others have done when new out of pkg. i liked these so much i ordered another pair. i'm over 6 ft tall with extra weight and i can move around, bend sit, turn without popping these off my pants, great job Carhartt !
Carhartt Sturdy
April 22, 2016
Carhartt Men's Utility Suspender,Black,One Size I bought these for my husband who is a larger man whom as he has gotten older he has found belts don't work for him. Belts cut into his larger belly causing pain and discomfort and suspenders seem to be the best bet. I was flying blind when searching for a good suspender, he's had problems with other suspenders either digging into his pants and eventually either ripping or making a hole and/or coming unsnapped during the day. I knew Carhartt was a brand that made quality heavy duty work clothes so thought I would go with them. Boy am I glad I did! He loves them! The width of them was comfortable and the clips are sturdy (after 4 months of daily wear) still holding as tightly as when first used. No pants have been damaged using them either! He is 5'11 and weighs about 280 with a large belly and these fit just fine. Carhartt's is a brand that we trust and have now added suspenders to our list of Carhartt apparel. I got these within the time given and easily made it for Christmas.
THESE ARE *GOOD* ... THEY WORK !
July 12, 2013
These are CARHARTTS (impeccable reputation for robust quality and dependable utility).CARHARTT is the brand of outer-wear (work coats, jackets, coveralls, etc.) that are most often used by lumberjacks, construction-workers, winter sportsmen and anyone who cannot afford to have their protective clothing fail, under any circumstances. If they are AUTHENTIC CARHARTT SUSPENDERS (THESE ARE), then, consider them as CERTIFIED FOR THE MOST DEMANDING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS. I had full confidence in purchasing THIS label *OVER* the JOHN DEER branded (similar LOOKING) product, for example. extremely rugged and top performing outer-garments are WHAT CARHARTT DOES. If they put their name on it ... IT JUST WORKS. (PERIOD)..

Great suspenders, some adjustments you can make.
February 28, 2016
Great suspenders, I have 5 units of the same, one for each type of pants. That way I do not have to move them between pants except when they get washed. Be aware of getting in the car or sitting somewhere, the rear clips can catch and come loose. Worst case is when the rear clip comes apart and the three clip pieces get scattered. To help protect from this situation, take a long nose pliers and tighten up the hinge points from the front side when the hinge is open. One of mine came apart, 1 piece was found 5 blocks away on my dog walk and the other 2 pieces were much later located under the car seat, lucky I saved all the pieces and could reassemble the unit.
Suspenders for the hubby!
February 17, 2016
Bought these for my husband to wear with our old hollywood engagements and wedding! He is a big guy so I was worried that they would be to small. But they fit perfect and looked great. He said he will even wear them after the wedding!
OH YES!!!! THEY ARE BA-A-A-CK IN STYLE!!!
February 7, 2016
Haven't worn these since the 80s when they were all the rage in sitcoms. (Michael Landon, as "Pa" on Little House on the Prairie, John Boy on The Waltons, and Grandpa Jones on Hee-Haw didn't start the craze, btw). These were worn back in the 80s because they were comfortable and were something different than the usual fashion. Even the gals wore them!! These particular suspenders are well made and fit perfectly. Snaps hold tightly and are of good quality. Black looks great with most of what I wear, but I'll be buying several different colors and styles very soon. Try a pair!!! Go ahead, be different! Be yourself!!! Free yourself from the tyranny of belts and belt loops!! Suspenders are not that expensive. You will love how easy they are to wear and how much more comfortable they make you feel. They look just as good in the office as they do outdoors!!!
The clips are strong and have teeth that grip
March 26, 2015
The clips are strong and have teeth that grip. So far none have slipped off and whipped me in the eye like the weak-gripped suspenders I wore previously.
Good Price, Good Sizing
January 29, 2013
Received them today to hold up my "work pants'. I have to dress for work and I have started wearing suspenders in the past 18 months as they made more sense than the belts I have been wearing all these years. While they feel a bit strange the very first time you put them on, you get "used to them" in about an hour or so. NOW. I won't got back to belts except for some casual needs. As for these suspenders. I read other reviews of this and OTHER brands that seemed raise concerns as to sizes for people of 6 feet or more. NO PROBLEM with these. IF you don't wear suspenders, you will understand with SOME pair. you tend to expand them the farthest (or close to it) when you first get them. After some normal stretch and understanding the actual "tension" you want on our pants to hold them up, eve you begin to adjust to THAT tension. With these. I have about six inches adjustment AFTER finding the right tension. I am also considered "long waisted" by some. Therefore I believe fit on these is good for folks up to 6'.5".They are GOOD Quality. I WOULD highlight that ONE reviewer did make a comment as to the part that clips to your pants made marks on a leather car seat. These clips are bigger than dress suspenders and I COULD see how that could happen. If this is a concern, you need to consider this
They Hold Up perfectly.
October 26, 2012
I read through the reviews when I was ordering. I had worried a little about the number of posts that the suspenders were too short.I'm 5'11" and weighing in at 370 lbs. I carry a lot of that weight in my belly. The el cheapo suspenders I got at a big block retailer were stretched to their limits, and every time I bent down to pick something up, the back clips would come off and fly over my head. I had seen Dickies at the same store, but only the ones that hooked up to the belt. My large belly puts much stress on belts, that's why I wanted to find suspenders, so that wasn't an option.I got these. Fears be quelled. The adjusters work just like it states in the Amazon description. Pull them up (though you might have to move them back if they are catching in the fabric) and slide to the new position, then lock down, and push the back bar flat.As for those "too small" reviews. Nonsense. The size marked is 1S (for One Size, duh). And I have about 8 inches to go on mine before they max out in length. So maybe if you are 6'7" and over 450 lbs, you "might" have an issue. Otherwise no.The clips grab well. I have not had them come off my pants or shorts unless *I* wanted to remove them. And that includes $60 in quarters (I hate laundry day.)They hold my pants up. They stay attached. They a great pair of suspenders for anyone who wants suspenders to hold their pants up.I've been rocking these guys for a month now. I'm one very satisfied customer. Thanks for listening to my review. I stated a lot of personal information because I want to be clear that I'm really putting these things through a test. And yes, I am currently working on loosing weight, and doing a good job. These suspenders make it easier to walk when I know my pants are going to stay up. :)

Just What I Wanted.
September 5, 2017
I bought these to hold up work shorts/trousers. As the brand suggests, these are serious suspenders. I am 6'1" and have a fairly long torso. They fit with a good 5" to spare. The trouser clips are strong and lock closed. The suspenders are wide and do not feel heavy on my shoulders. Completely satisfactory.
Overall a good product. Doesn't always stay clipped on in back
May 13, 2017
Overall a good product. Doesn't always stay clipped on in back, but I use them to hold up my ski pants, so I'm probably more active than the average user.
Great for my ski pants
February 28, 2017
Heavy duty product. Too heavy for daily use, unless the owner is big and overweight. I'm not. Great for my ski pants, they take a lot of beating on the slopes!
Rusting
February 7, 2017
I have always loved Carhartt everything, including the suspenders. BUT, after six months in the Florida heat, they've started leaving bad rust marks. This is no buenoOther recommendation: add an optional strap on the front to hold the two vertical straps in line. When you're pudgy like me, they tend to wander sideways. I'm keeping them in line with a piece of parachute cord.
One size fits all is not the whole story
January 23, 2014
I'm an adult female and I came within the parameters for the adult size. Carhartt does not offer suspenders for women. I should have looked into kids' sizes, too, because the straps on the adult size are too wide at the shoulders to be comfortable - they rub against my neck. Functionally these are much better than the suspenders I wore as a skinny little kid with no waist or butt where the elastic stretched too much and the snaps wouldn't always hold and I attribute this to the quality of materials and construction. They are heavy duty clothing accessories. I'm an EMT and part of my gear includes an extrication outfit, heavy canvas jacket and pants that are a bit oversize so I expect these suspenders to perform quite well to keep my pants in place should I ever have to crawl into a crushed vehicle where someone is entrapped. For everyday use I think I'll take a look at kids' suspenders.
Heavy duty, but not what I was expecting.
December 31, 2012
I should start by mentioning that I have not worn suspenders in the past. My work requires us to wear a uniform and I wear a belt with it. I was looking for something that would keep me from having to yank up my pants several times a day. I finally decided to try these out.Build quality is very good. Thick, elastic bands and heavy duty buckles. I thought they would be spring loaded, like the ones that snap on. These have a type of clip that has a lever. Not sure if my description is clear, but you don't just squeeze the top of the buckle and clip them to your pants. You have to pull up a metal tab, which opens up the teeth and then you put them on the pants and push the tab back down to lock them. Heavy duty compared to most that I have seen. But since I don't wear them normally I can't give a good comparison. Would work well if you have a lot of weight on your belt or pants. In my case, I just can't get used to having something pulling down on my shirt constantly. We have to have a good range of motion to do the job and somehow it just feels more restrictive to me. I decided to just stick with the belt or wear overalls. Hope this helps with the decision. Quality is very good if you need heavy duty suspenders.

August 26, 2017
I bought these to hold up a pair of used motorcycle pants I bought that are one size too big. They work just fine. Some reviews talk about them being cheaply made and yes, they are not the finest, but I have no issues with them. But then I just put them on the pants and that is where they stay. I do not clip and unclip them to put on other pants. I also do not have a gut to deal with. If you are looking for heavy duty suspenders then probably get something else. But if you want to just spend a few bucks for some to use lightly then these will do the trick.
Good product at a reasonable price
June 28, 2017
This is the first set of suspenders for me. Once I figured out how to "fix" (tighten, hold) the adjustment straps, they worked fine--much better than a belt.I deleted one star because the first set had a defective part, but 2 days later Amazon had sent a replacement. Good job, Amazon.
I love these, they are comfortable
March 18, 2017
I love these, they are comfortable, and hold my pants up well, although I also have a problem with the clips, after a few days I had the clips came apart. I was able to get them back together and use them but it has happened several times. I wish they would make a better clip that doesn't come apart. and the suspenders were not tight on me when this happened. I got out of my car the other day, and it happened again and I ware a shirt over them. They should come with extra clips if they are not going to make better clips for them.
These work great and hold my pants up nicely
March 16, 2017
These work great and hold my pants up nicely. I've had them for about a month and they still grip my pants well. I can notice that the clamps are starting to lose grip or bite. The clamps catch my undershirts occasionally, I have a big gut, and now most my undershirts have holes where the two front clamps are. I wear them over my undershirt and under my outer shirt.I think they may be a bit too thick but that's on me. They are easy to adjust, even while wearing them.
Very pleased - very sturdy
November 1, 2016
The suspenders are very sturdy. The metal clips have a strong teeth set that grab the pants nicely. The adjustable length clips are also well designed and sturdy. I bought the green set, they were more of a tan green than the green shown in the picture. Not a big deal for me, but that's why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Overall, very pleased with these suspenders.
This makes it easy to leave them attached front and back and just ...
August 23, 2015
Could be 5 star, but need more time to determine how durable... My past experience with suspenders is for holding up a work belt and those have almost no stretch. The Dickies have a lot of elasticity. This makes it easy to leave them attached front and back and just stretch them over the shoulders when putting pants on/off. The end result feels a little less secure, but so far no problems. I have worn these suspender about 10 times wearing casual cloths ... walking shorts that are a little too big. The suspenders allow me to hook up my belt to take up some of the waist extra material, but not so much to bunch at the waist. This is the application for which I purchased these, I still wear just a belt for pants that are snug enough that my belt can be tight without bunching up the waist material of the pants.

not so [pleased
July 28, 2017
I'm not real crazy about these. The clips seem to hit half of everything I walk past, they are so big. I knock them off getting in and out of my truck. I bought 2 pair of these and they just hang in my closet. I use a different pair. At times they would fall off of my left shoulder. I don't know, I'm just not crazy about them.
And here I thought Carhartt built clothes for "real" men. Guess that's not the case.
February 20, 2017
Grrr...let's just say I have a body type that sometimes requires the use of suspenders. Okay, maybe I haven't worn suspenders in the past, but I'm sick of tightening my belt and still having my pants fall off all the time if I have weight/tools in my pockets and going to moving around all day. So after doing some research and being familiar with Carhartt brand, I decided to buy these suspenders. I really wanted 2" wide, the largest/longest size available and something with study clips. I'm 6'4 and have a very long torso and have problems getting shirts/jackets/bibs/etc to fit properly. I'm also not the skinniest man alive but by no means that large either. Carhartt supposedly builds clothes for the American working man. Well, let me tell you, I might be big but I'm by no means "huge" for the "working man" and these suspenders barely fit while wearing a t shirt only. If I tried to put on a few layers first or packed on a couple pounds, these wouldn't fit. I mean, come on, how can you not either offer a larger size or just make them a few inches longer. I guess my 3 star rating comes from two things...first it loses a star because of the claps coming undone easily. No biggie. But to have it not fit the "American Working Man" just kinda rubs me the wrong way. I guess while Carhartt was too busy marketing themselves to the modern lumbersexual, they forgot to actually build clothes for the working guys who put their brand on the map.I think with both of these drawbacks, I'm going to try some from Duluth Trading Post and see if their large size fits better.
Disappointed in suspenders for buckle placement
December 29, 2016
Disappointed in suspenders for buckle placement. Other brands offer two sizes, allowing mftr to strategically place the adjustment buckle off of the clavicle (collarbone). These suspenders as a one size fits all, and me being avg height (5'11") te buckle painfully and annoyingly sits directly on clavicle. If I were to adjust and lower the metal clip just a little the suspenders would sag and not function. One size convenient for mftr but definitely not for average size wearer. I am too lazy to go upstairs and pt on suspenders and take pic but I am sure you can get the jest from online pics. I had wore casually around the hoise for a couple of days and it was annoying. Wore them on weekend camping trip this past weekend and it grew into painful, especially seatbelts rubbing. I could see something hitting chest not too hard and breaking clavicle. Otherwise, quality is great, and clips strong and secure on waistband.
Don't Sit on Leather without a Protective Layer
June 26, 2016
There are over 1,000 reviews here, so I won't go into detail on faults already described. But, yes, I've experienced the clips that blow apart (not difficult to repair with a pair of pliers if you recover all the parts) and the slipping adjustment clasps. I'm going with three stars, though, because these suspenders are basically OK: They get the job done, and they're comfortable.I'd let it go at that were it not for the fact that I just scratched up the lumbar area on the passenger side leather-covered seat in my wife's car. Now I have to buy her a new car. (I'm hoping she'll settle for an application of a leather treatment product.) If you don't wear an over-shirt, jacket, or other outer garment over the suspenders -- or otherwise somehow protect the lumbar area of the seat -- DO NOT sit in a leather-covered seat. The clips on these suspenders have sharp corners that can do some serious damage.Perhaps all clip-on suspenders have this fault. I don't know. Maybe it's just the cheap ones. You've been warned.
Pretty good overall, but with one design flaw
March 5, 2015
How would you feel if your suspenders failed out in public and you couldn't fix them? Fortunately this did not happen to me, but the buckle on the front of my suspenders did in fact fly off at home (under a bit of tension, I might add). I refer to the front buckles emblazoned with "Carhartt".The flaw I discovered may relate as much to assembly as to using the product, but here it is: the ends of the buckle are secured only by a pressure fit. That is, the points at either end where the buckle rotates are pressed on to little stubs on the back of the buckle. There is no shaft for rotation - this shortcut utilizes the back of the buckle for this purpose. The front of the buckle has little "wings" at each end that are bent during assembly to encircle the stubs on the back buckle. In my case, these wings were inadequately bent, and hence one end of the front buckle slipped off under moderate tension. Since there is no positive stop on the stubs, the entire front buckle flew off at speed. If the above is confusing, then just do this: closely examine the front buckles to make sure the end wings are firmly bent over the stubs. You'll need channel lock pliers or something able to span 2".
The large size may fit all
February 7, 2014
From what I have seen, 46 inches is the standard size for suspenders. The pair sent to me was 52 or 54 inches - I do not have them in front of me. From the complaints I see, I think "one size fits all" really means "We will send you the first thing we grab." The larger size is ok for me. The adjusters fall a couple inches below my shoulder, rather than closer to the belt in 46 inchers - what I normally wear. The people who complain they are too short probably got a 46-incher and needed larger. The size is labelled on a little cloth tab. I guess it saves someone a nickel or dime per order, and we all know times are tight.I want to be clear that the product itself is excellent. Well-made and sturdy as I have found most Carhartt products to be. I will probably get another pair soon, since I can use either size. This review was written for the Amazon site only. Its appearance on any other sites does not indicate my interest in those sites.

Nope.

Husband s a logger and it lasted only a couple weeks. The clips always pooped off and eventually broke. Wouldnt purchase these again. Went with Carhartt.
Adjustment Devices Do Not Hold
July 31, 2017
The adjustment devices tend to pop open no matter how hard you press them down. My wife had to remove the adjusters and stitch the straps together for a fixed length. Works great now, but the suspenders only fit me, and of course there could be a problem if I gain any weight or grow any taller, the former being likely and the latter being unlikely.
Easy to install and remove
March 31, 2017
Bought a pair and was impressed with its performance and simplicity. Easy to install and remove. Holds well. Bought a second pair.THEN, after a few weeks, one of the clasps on the first pair came apart. I did not notice right when it happened, so I lost the parts to it. I said "huh" and switched to the second pair. After about 4 weeks of daily use, the exact same thing happened. One clasp came apart. I lost one piece of it. But, now I had an old set for spare parts, and I used to fix the new set.So, these were, for me, a buy two, get one proposition. I think I'll look for something nicer and more expensive.
Forget searching, Amazon has got them😊
January 9, 2017
This is a very good product, I was having a lot of difficulties finding good suspenders for my husband in stores so thought, what the heck bet Amazon has them. Well they do, liked them so well we ordered another pair.Update. The suspenders are great, but I finally discovered the cause of the deep scratches on the leather seats on the driver side of two of our vehicles, both fairly new vehicles. It was the clasps on the suspenders!!! BEWARE if you have leather car seats, these will ruin them!!!I was able to help the black leather some with shoe polish but the gray leather seats (on the new Arcadia) are beyond repair!!!!
A disappointment
October 25, 2015
They are indeed 8 inches shorter than any other suspenders that I own when they are all extended full length. Many say they are just right and some say they are too short. Perhaps there is a quality control issue we don't know about. For me they are too short. The adjustment clips on these suspenders do not close for me. Maybe there is something I am doing wrong, but I have never encountered this problem on a new pair of suspenders in the 60 some years I've been wearing suspenders. The material is robust and the alligator clips seem more substantial than most I have encountered. All I have to do now is figure out how to get the adjustment clamps to actually work.
Ok, if you don't mind Runs in Your Nylons
June 16, 2012
That's what it looks like. This is my first pair of suspenders so I cannot compare to older versions. I wanted to like these, I really did. When I opened the package yesterday I was pleased at the look and feel of this product. I read how many have had problems with the clips so I checked mine out closely and they seem fine. They clipped on and off with no problem and the 'axel' if I can call it that, is protruding from each side so there wasn't any damage showing. On they went and I went walking. Sure hold up the pants well. A little too well, and that's where I ran into trouble. When I went to adjust the front length one of the sides seemed to be stuck. When it did release and I re-adjusted the length all seemed fine . . . until I returned from my walk and took off my vest. Then I see this very visible run going across the suspender where one of the threads must have been hung up. Now I have a new pair of suspenders that looks like they need to be donated to Goodwill. Not a happy suspender owner, but will live with it.

Rusting Quality
August 22, 2017
I purchased Carhartt paying more for the quality that the brand provides. The clips slip off my jeans, I have to fasten them to the belt loops to get a decent hold... and they still stip off. But the worst thing is rusting. The inside of the clips and the adjuster sliders are rusting. Really let me down.
Carhartt risks its reputation...
January 14, 2017
These suspenders are poor quality. They are foreign-made of inferior materials, and are not the quality of the identical USA-made suspenders they replace. They were the wrong size. Took them to the tailor to have them shortened, an added expense. The elastic began to weaken right away. Carhartt puts its reputation at risk with these cheap goods.
... that for many men these suspenders might be very good. They are certainly of good quality
September 21, 2016
I am sure that for many men these suspenders might be very good. They are certainly of good quality. However I did not realize that the greater width of these suspenders would render it impossible for me to access my shirt pockets which is where I keep important stuff rather than in my back pockets. That would not be a problem if I usually wore a jacket(with pockets), but most of the year I cannot wear a jacket where I live, and when it is cooler a sweater is more suitable. So if you wear a jacket the year round, these suspenders might serve you very well; otherwise they are not very useful.
Tension clip slips & very large
February 22, 2016
Positive: The clamps held securely to my ski pants. Not so great: (1) One of the tension clips would slip thus loosening the suspenders. (2) Regarding the one size fits all, I am a 5' 8" / 170 lb. man. For me, these suspenders were too large. I had to tighten so much that the tension clips ended up behind my shoulders leaving only about 2 inches remaining for additional tightening should the suspenders stretch in the future. The size of these is for a much larger person than me.For these reasons, I returned them for another brand suspender which is working better for me.
Clips tear pants, sizing does not stay in place
March 18, 2015
The clips hold the suspenders to my belt well. But using them on my pants tears them. The clip to hold the suspenders to a certain size slip and do not hold in place. This is the second set I've had, the first failed within 2 weeks. This set lasted a little longer but still not very long.
and they are the best I have ever owned
January 13, 2015
I received a pair of the Camo suspender as a gift, and they are the best I have ever owned. So I ordered a pair of the blue and a pair of the black thinking by the description they would be made of the same material as the camo pair. Wrong! The one size fits all is terrible and they don't wear the same. They keep falling off of my shoulder. I will never buy them again. Nuff said.

Maybe just for looks
August 17, 2017
Started out fine but within a couple weeks they started stretching out and needed daily adjustment. When I first started using them the adjuster was just a couple inches above my pants. Within 3 weeks they were stretched so far the adjuster was almost to my shoulder.
Not well designed.

I'll never buy another pair of suspenders without an adjustable X. These have the X set so low that it allows them to slip off the shoulder easily. The clips, however, are of excellent quality.
Cheaply made...The adjustment clips don't stay secure.

I usually like Dickies products, but these are made kinda cheaply. The adjustment clips don't stay secure. Made in the Dominican Republic.
These are pretty cheaply made
January 31, 2017
These are pretty cheaply made, and I have to say I was fooled by the picture on Amazon. The teeth on the clips are huge and sharp and I feel like they damage the pants I put them on and should be less vicious... the adjustment hardware on the straps do not catch very easily and feel and look very cheap. Don't waste your money on these, you should look for something else perhaps a little more expensive to ensure you get the quality you want and don't damage the pants you attach these to.
Return to vendor, poor quality metal edges.
February 25, 2016
Like many older men, I have a belly. A belt has to be tightened, so tight, to keep my pants up, that my back hurts and stomach gets upset. Okay, I thought I would try suspenders. In general, these suspenders work exactly as one would expect them to. However ... there are so many sharp edges on the spring clips and adjustment flanges, my hands are constantly sore from being abraded. C'mon guys, I know you're trying to control expenses, but you have to de-burr your metal edges to keep from cutting skin that brushes against them. Overall, I bought three pairs, in different colors and initially really liked them. After having the product for a month or more, I have to stop wearing them because my hand is so sore. I would like to return this product for a refund.
Good product if you don't need suspenders.

I have worn suspenders on my jeans for years, and recently the pair I've worn for five years finally gave up the ghost. The stitching gave out, and as we live in a largely disposable society, I reasoned it would be simpler and cheaper to just replace them rather than repair them. In retrospect, the time I spent looking for new suspenders would have been better spent researching good tailors. One of the "jaws" never did hold for long, and today, after I accidentally dropped the suspenders on the floor, that hinge actually broke. Let me repeat that, for this is a sentence you don't read very often: Dropping my suspenders less than four feet onto the floor broke them. Dickies, I thought you were of higher quality than this.Pros: Actually worked semi-well for three weeks of irregular use. Elastic belts made them more comfortable.Cons: More fragile than you would expect the metal hinge on suspenders to be, although to be fair it's still less fragile than a sheet of ice in August.Overall: I gave it two stars because I only give a product one star if it fails to work at all.

REAR BUCKLE DISASSEMBLED-DURING FIFTH USE
September 8, 2017
Rear buckle disintegrated/sprung apart. Overall quality of materials is First Class. Good stitching, sturdy straps & robust appearing buckle. But the right rear buckle came apart & lost during use on the fifth use. I am 63 and overweight. I use the suspenders to keep my Carhart work shorts UP while carrying a utility knife, pencil & tape while performing house maintenance. Suspenders typically fail due to Weak buckles eventually failing to grip or the stitching or material at the leather yoke failing. Hoped Carhart would have a more ROBUST product. Product still New but Useless. Can anyone recommend a manufacturer of heavy duty suspenders?

After 2 weeks of very occasional use the clip came apart. Very cheap metal clips. If you want quality that works, don't buy these. The Nicholson brand suspendersI had before were in use almost 15 years.
I would not recommend these.
January 2, 2017
I bought these in July and by December the clips no longer hold material. That means that the pants they are meant to hold, fall down! I would not recommend these.
Better name for them is utility crap
June 1, 2016
Better name for them is utility crap. Very poor quality to price ratio. Pants clips and adjustment clips are poorly made and useless. I threw them in the trash after trying to use them 4 or 5 times.
So disappointed that I could not exchange these
October 3, 2015
So disappointed that I could not exchange these ! I bought them for my Dad whose pants always fall down & the metal clips were scratching his leather recliner . I tried to exchange them & was told NO. Now I am stuck with two pairs for the rest of my life !
Not as good as they once were!
September 29, 2015
My first pair of these suspenders worked very good for about a year and a half. The next pair shipped in May 2015 was fraying upon receipt, so I returned that pair in June 2015 and received my replacement pair the same month, in August 2015 I noticed the strap buckles were not holding the adjustment which I set. Now I need to reset them every day I wear them at least once.Just a real nuisance.

Metal clip teeth are too sharp.
April 26, 2017
These suspenders have really sharp metal teeth on the clips. When I opened the clips the first time to adjust the straps the teeth pulled threads out of the straps. Now each side has threads sticking out. When I closed the clips on my pants I clamped down on my shirt which punched a whole through the shirt under one of the clamps. The clip teeth are sharp enough to be on a handsaw. I wonder how long my pants will hold up under these teeth?
good suspenders
April 22, 2017
Nice suspenders, am 5'10 and 250 and they fit great. My complaint is that I ordered two of these and the clips were stuck into the straps. I have several pairs and am familiar, but these were really buried. Upon opening the clasp I found out that the clips had cut into the straps on the left side and it left a big snag. They work, but I have two big snags that show.
These hold tight - but broke after only a few uses.
March 1, 2017
The fat man I bought these for hasn't dropped his pants in public since we got them. Everybody wins.Update: after wearing them 4 or 5 times one of the clasps broke. It's a shame. They worked so well right up until they didn't work at all.
Arrived ' cut ' into three [ 3 ] separate pieces !
January 27, 2017
Suspenders arrived with another order [ web belt ]....neatly pkg'ed but ' cut ' into three { 3 } pieces ! ! ! As facetiously as possible , cut into 3 pcs and carefully folded and placed into sml taped plastic bag...Product fell out and onto table in three separate pieces ! A disgruntled employee perhaps ? Anarchist ? Likely both . Wish I could give it a minus rating but....
Waste of money!
December 23, 2015
Do not buy these!!!! I can't believe how crappy these actually are! The "sizing" clasps won't bite at all! No matter what size I try to put them at. No luck. Bought them for the hunting season which was over 30 days and cannot return now...awesome! DO NOT waste your money!
DISAPPOINTMENT!!
November 18, 2013
the adjustable "sliders" (for length) never worked. could never use them even once. sadly, first tried them on a pair of trousers several days after delivery, had thrown packaging (an envelope) away by the, so could not return them-- shippiong costs in return would be almost as much as the price anyway- first disappointment with Amazon, but thankfully a small ticket item compared to other purchases.
