Five Star Reviews: | 36% Good quality March 20, 2017 I like the lid latch and the ease of carrying this tote. I also like that it's clear so I can see what's in it. I will buy this kind again. Great product at current price. February 15, 2017 For the money, these re-usable storage containers are terriffic. They seal tightly with a clever latch design, and the big ones are capacious. They stack easily, and you can see what's inside. Stowing It October 9, 2016 What a great invention! Safely store clothes, photos, keepsakes, etc etc. Sterilite makes a very good container for all that you need to keep safe and clean. My attic is full of cardboard boxes but every time I take one downstairs, I replace it with a Sterilite container. Slowly but surely all will be replaced with these containers. Easy to see the contents, no need for writing on the box. I have Sterilite containers of all sizes. If you are lazy buy these May 26, 2014 OK, you can find better storage bins at probably a bazillion other stores. The problem I have is that you end up with a collection of diverse different sized bins that don't always fit together or stack that well. Also different colors, blue orange ones from halloween sales, etc. I keep buying these bins on Amazon even though I know I could probably find cheaper better ones. The reason is that they are stackable, see through and the more you buy the more cohesive your storage starts to look and become. I can see and find most everything in these. And let's face it, I am lazy. Just the click of a couple of buttons and I have some nice bins. Saves me gas and time. | 68% Really Good Product! June 25, 2017 Can't believe I'm so excited about this product, but I am. These storage bins are very sturdy, good quality, and the perfect size for me. They hold a lot but aren't too heavy for me to lift when full. For the first one I filled up, I was able to roll up 2 Belgium linen flat sheets, one fitted sheet, and two pillow cases and I still had a little more room left over. I was able to comfortably store several purses into another container. I plan on ordering more of this size after I finish cleaning out our walk-in closet. I highly recommend this product! Good product March 14, 2017 I originally bought these boxes to use for moving. We liked them so well I bought more for my son to use in his garage for storage ofseasonal items. They are sturdy and have locking handles that hold the lids in place. We are extremely happy with these and have themin 3 sizes. We also use them for blanket storage in the house and for storing Christmas and other seasonal decorations. They stack beautifully, The 18 quart size is perfect for keeping fragile items by type (sewing March 8, 2017 If you are debating what size of storage container to use here is my input. I have limited strength and am also short and with smaller hands making it a bit more of a challenge to pick up large and/or heavy container boxes. I have 18 qt, 50 qt and 70 qt containers. I protect items with bubble-wrap baggies and/or their original packaging. The 18 quart size is perfect for keeping fragile items by type (sewing, tea sets, home decor, ornaments, etc) or for paper materials (like music practice books, photos, keepsake art, etc). Since there is less wasted air space in the 18 qt than the larger containers it ultimately takes less closet space to store the same number of items in 18 qt containers than larger containers. It is easier to store the 18 qt size on shelving and it is much easier to carry. The largest containers work best for off-season bedding & clothing. The in-between sizes work well for clothing and lots of other items but don't fill them up with books or anything heavy as it will be difficult to move. The handle clips are fairly sturdy - out of all the container boxes I have purchased maybe one box was missing one handle and none of the other handles have been defective in any way. Organized and Happy March 13, 2016 I LOVE these bins. They are durable stackable and affordable. I use mine for toy storage. Link on Logs, Legos, Kenex, playmobil, take apart toys and more. What's really great is the kids can carry them to what ever room they want to play in. We also use them for road trips easy to have kids pick one or two bins to take to a hotel. Great for moving and storage February 3, 2016 I bought these when I moved and they were great! Instead of buying and wasting flimsy moving boxes, I opted for these containers instead. They kept my items safe and dry during my move. What I really liked about them is the size. They are like the huge containers where you'll over fill them and then they become too heavy to carry. I liked these for all my smaller items but it kept me from over stuffing and was easy to carry. After my move, I used most of them for storage of my random items that I have no home for. And the remaining containers I was able to stack. And because I seem to move pretty often, I will be able to reuse for the next move. In my opinion this is definitely the economical option especially because it can be re-used and then used for storage. Get these and get organized! February 2, 2016 We're fairly active in a number of hobbies that require gear: photography, camping/hiking, athletics/sports, sewing, woodworking. So, when my partner and I moved into a fairly small rental, I was given permission to cull and organize our things. I've bought two sets of these and the 18-quart counterpart Sterilite 19848006 18-Quart Ultra Storage Box, White Lid See-Through Base with Black Latches, 6-Pack, and I'm nearly ready to get more.We store *everything* in these and store the boxes on a set of metal wire racks. They made our recent move remarkably simple and are holding up to regular abuse. | 78% The Perfect Size May 16, 2017 These are just about the perfect size for me. I placed video games, books, hint guides, and game controllers in them and it was a reasonable size and weight to move and store. I particularly like the latching system which wraps around the lis and the container, locking them securely together. I've already ordered three batches of these containers as both my wife and I continue to find new uses. They stack well, too. Perfect Storage Containers September 10, 2016 This containers works perfectly for storing cleaning products under the sink. I also use it to store bath products cabinets in the bathrooms have not had any leaks or busted containers. I stacked all six containers (fully loaded) and no busted lids so these are definitely strong. Really like the containers May 30, 2016 Really like the containers. They were the right size and perfect for what I need them for. I use them to store my Christmas decor, magazines/books and craft supplies. I have not used them with anything extremely heavy but they do look like they would break obviously break with a super heavy object. They fit just about anywhere and really helped me organize my clutter. The lid and latches are very easy to put on and take off, they to stay on properly and they are easy to carry around. A great investment for a straight, organized and dust-free closet. September 30, 2015 These are the best! My shoes all have their own home now, and they stay clean and off the floor! Sturdy boxes; good quality purchase January 10, 2015 These boxes are nice and sturdy, and the lids fit snugly. All of mine arrived in mint condition. I purchased these specifically to help organize my craft room - yarn is taking over! Now, I can find a given weight and color of yarn at a glance. I'm also being saved from some of those impulse buys (okay, not all) since I can see right away what I have. Will order more storage boxes soon to finish out the yarn stash, and get going on the sewing material . . . . | 64% There are no reviews yet | 34% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 13% Tt is great for the price. Not air tight covers October 13, 2016 It is great for the price. Not air tight covers. Good quality material. Im using to pack my stuff to move. They are perfect while I am living out of containers. I can find my stuff easily. I saw simillar ones for $8 plus in store. This is a great deal......Sad news is Im trying to buy another set and I am not getting the same great price. Why did it jump from $14 to $54. Frankly, I will not pay so much for them.......Not worth so much. Back to store for me! Pros and cons August 15, 2015 Just know that while these are great for storing, not the best for moving around too much. The clips do not attach to the base tightly, so if you over pack, the lids won't stay snapped on. For my purposes, these boxes work well. Great quality & Amazon's price is the best.. March 26, 2014 This is the best price for these, and they really are better quality than I expected. Perfect to store Xmas stuff, out of Samson clothing & equipment and a million other things. I'll probably come back for more.. sturdy box, but the latches aren't great June 21, 2012 These bins are a good size for storing clothes, towels, extra bedding, etc.The only problem is the latches on the handles. They stay closed, as long as there is nothing pushing up on the lid. For example, I packed one of them with clothing, but did not over-stuff it, and the lid stays closed. However, I tried to use another one of the bins for a down comforter, which compresses when stuffed into a container. I stuffed the comforter in the bin, but when I tried to put the top on, the latches were not strong enough to resist the small amount of pressure the comforter was exerting on the lid. The lid wouldn't stay on. The comforter was not packed too tightly, just a little bit. But the latches could not handle the pressure. This isn't an issue if you're planning on storing things that won't press up on the lid, but there are storage bins out there with stronger latches that hold the lid down more effectively. These ones are being sold for a good price though, so if you don't need great latches, these ones are fine in every other way. Just don't buy this for a down comforter, or anything else that would have to be compressed (even if it only needs to be compressed slightly). Great for storing maternity clothes, baby clothes, etc. April 16, 2012 I love that these are see-through. They are the perfect size for storing baby clothes, maternity clothes, and clothes I hope I'll fit into again someday but probably never will. They store well in my son's large closet. They're shorter and taller than a normal sized laundry basket. You can stack them on top of each other when they're full and it works great. They could maybe stand to be a little bigger but I'm happy with the size.Update: These were $42 when I bought them 4/12/12, now they are $56 9/10/13. I'd like to buy some more, but not at this price. Value for price November 17, 2011 Cons: As others have noted, the latches are not air- or water-tight and they snap off much too easily. If you plan on using them for moving (for instance), think about it -- very carefully.Pros: The latches are easy to snap back on. The boxes do stack nicely, you can see what's in them, and you can't beat the price. I actually prefer the modular Iris boxes but Amazon doesn't offer them other than singly in this size (available at the Iris website, though, with a huge shipping cost). | 15% Well-made, easy to use, sturdy. Not airtight. June 7, 2017 These are great, a huge help when moving, and good for storage around the house. The plastic seems of good quality. The lids seem slightly flimsy, but when in-place on the box with the handles locked in, they're fine. They stack 3-4 high without any problem, even when full of books. The handles lock securely and unlock easily, and provide good grip for carrying. One thing to note: there are small gaps in the plastic around the handle hinges, so these are obviously not airtight, so maybe not good for, e.g. long-term storage of humidity-sensitive items in a non-air-conditioned storage unit. The only real complaint I have is that the price went up by a few dollars a box, and they seem somewhat expensive. But they seem sturdy enough that I think they will last a long time. Great for storage & moving September 22, 2015 I actually purchased these by accident thinking they were a larger size, but decided to keep them anyway. I used these during a recent cross-country move - moving boxes are expensive and these were only slightly more money. They offered a lot of great advantages during the move - I could see what was inside of each bin so I didn't have to tear through cardboard boxes trying to locate one thing that I needed. They're obviously also reusable and now we can use them for storage in our basement, garage, etc. They are a bit of an odd size (at least in my opinion) - a little bit too large for storage in a closet, but a little bit too small for a garage. Overall, I'm really happy I purchased these - I love having things organized and this really helps! good for storage July 31, 2015 I thought I'd replace the Xerox paper boxes I use for storage. These are great since I can see through them and spot which one has what I'm looking for. The bad is the severe tapering from top to bottom. I had to refold clothing I stored in the Xerox boxes to fit at the bottom. Toward the top, these boxes are about the same size. Don't know why the manufacturer had to put in the taper, except to make them stackable for shipping. Great Storage Container! July 15, 2014 This 30-Quart Storage Container really nice and sturdy. My choice was clear I wanted clear storage container, so you can see what is inside, it makes it easy to locate your items without attaching the labels. Consider the width of this container, some of the items needs to stand up, so you can fit more like books that's perfect choice . This is the reason I gave it 4 stars, I thought it much wider, that's why you need to consider what you'll be putting inside. Otherwise it's a great product, latches very well made and hold strong . I like these containers , but needed to buy the other sizes too. Critters Can Not Get In October 26, 2013 I store off season and too small kids clothes in the attic just in case more kids are in our future in various brands and sizes of tubs. I recently got them all down to comb through for a garage sale, and in almost every box except these, the clothes had some yellow spots on them, possibly mouse urine or bug guts. The latches on these keep things out. The only thing I would improve is to make the ends square instead of curvy. That would make for a more efficient use of the space. Otherwise, excellent. Good, can be better January 15, 2013 I bought these about two years ago to organize things in my garage, and they have held up very well. Here is a summary of my usage experience:POSITIVES:1. They look nice and are stackable. I have stacked no more than two (quite full) and it held without any problems.2. They latches are firm and sturday and unlikely to break.NEGATIVES:1. These are not rectangular with fairly deep grooves all the way down under the latch. This can limit the storage options.2. The lid fits securely near the latches, but not in the center portion. This can be a concern if your contents need tight closing.OTHER:The bottom is smooth but not appropriate for sliding, and they can leave marks on the shelf surface if you try sliding them out. You may like to put felt pads at the bottom.I have started using Sterlite more than Rubbermaid over the last 3 years, and am very pleased with them. They can be a formidable competition for Rubbermaid if they can improve the design a bit more. | 13% Meets my Storage Needs August 12, 2017 These are great what can I say. I think they are getting a bit expensive though. I like clear bins only so I can see what is inside. Cleaning the house of all unused items but need to keep some things. September 15, 2016 These containers have been very helpful to me and my wife in cleaning and organizing our house. The only thing I wish they had was a more secure locking system. Great Quality...but Smaller Than Anticipated June 23, 2016 I purchased these storage containers based on wanting the same storage containers that I have at home. I took the measurements and size into account, I even read the other reviews which stated that they were small but thought nothing of it since I measured them and they were the same size that I had at home. They arrived and while the quality is excellent and exactly what I was looking for to match our other storage bins, they're much smaller than my other storage bins that I measured that were supposed to be the same size. They're a decent size for storing small items such as a pair of shoes which is great if that is what you're trying to store.I'm keeping them because I don't want to take the time to send them back but I'm unable to use them for what I had originally purchased them for which was for storing my daughter's clothes. Three Star Reviews: | 19% Spacious but not secure February 21, 2017 It's a good deal for the amount of space you get but the clasps don't click at all. You have to tape down the top if you want it to stay completely shut. Otherwise be careful hauling it around. Skip this one, the lids are awful September 13, 2015 I bought these to use as non-heavy duty inside storage for things like small electronics, craft supplies, computer equipment, music equipment, holiday decorations, blankets, etc. I like the fact that they are see-through so I can see what's inside of them. The bins themselves are strong enough, although I've never been a fan of Sterilite's curved shape, it can make fitting things in them challenging. What I really hate are the lids. First off, they don't latch properly. Secondly, they curve outwards unnecessarily and aren't flush against the container as well as they could be. This makes the difference when you are storing them side by side, or when they poke out just enough that the closet door won't lay exactly flat. I wouldn't care if it represented actual storage space, but it's just excessive. I would not recommend this model, I recommend the "Ultra Latch Box" series instead. Decent bins, tops don't latch tightly August 22, 2015 These bins are okay. The advantage is that they are translucent so you can see what's inside and they stack relatively well. As for the tops clipping on, well they do... sort of. I was expecting bins I've seen in the past that had tops that latched more tightly. These tops will pop off if the container deforms even slightly and since they're plastic that's going to happen pretty easily, like for example moving them.Quality control is a bit lacking too, I bought 2 boxes of 4 bins and one top in each of the boxes was cracked. Nothing that rendered the tops unusable, since they don't come close to sealing but when you buy something new you expect to get something that's whole and undamaged. No point in complaining about it, they're bins and they're out in the garage now.So if you're looking for bins to pack things in that you will stack and leave they will do nicely. If you want something that has a more sturdy latching top or something that more tightly seals (or you'd like them to be undamaged when you get them) these aren't going to be useful. Lids Do NOT Fit! August 14, 2015 The clear plastic bins are nice and seem very durable. However, the lids do not stay on very well. At first I thought it was user error and I was just doing something wrong. Nope they are just not the right fit. They work for what I need them for so it is not an issue for me. I am moving and using them to store items so they do not get wet, such as electronics, documents, and dress clothes. I will most likely donate them to good will after the move any way. Mediocre storage - worth what I pd 6 mo ago-$31 and a year ago...not worth todays price March 11, 2014 I bought these in September from here and it was $31(my 2nd set in a year) for a 6 pack of 66 qt with green handles. They are mediocre - not the best I have but not the worst. For the price, it was reasonable, so I came back to get more, a third time, in January but they were around $65. I was outraged but knowing amazon as well as I do, usually a price change that big will go back to normal a few days later. I keep checking and it keeps going up, not down, today they are $77. Absolutely ridiculous. Are they worth the $31 I spent the first time? yes, for bins, they were ok and I don't need to worry about humidity or stacking anything heavier than another full bin on top of them. For $40 or more, I want heavy duty storage bins that I can store in a garage or shed or the back patio and not hve to worry about water or humidity or bugs or whatever - and I want them to be able to hold heavy duty items-not clothes or dvds or Christmas decorations that are lightweight and won't make them bend. The prices here lately on some items are so out of touch with reality I don't know why they even carry them. If you cannot sell them at a reasonable price that is not completely jacked up by non-market issues, you are only harming your website's reputation. When regular customers start to no loner trust that what they are getting is a competitive price for quality and now has to do a lot of research because you cannot be trusted, you were better off discontinuing the sale of the items.Bottom line is quality for price - they are worth the original price, up to $35 and that's it. Current price for quality would be less stars, but that's not really fair - so I rate based on what I paid - and everyone should know the current price is outrageous compared to just a few months ago. Flimsy lids March 8, 2013 Although the lid for this storage box does latch, it does not completely seal the box all around. Since I am placing this set of boxes in the storage room of an apartment building, I wanted the lids to seal completely in order to prevent any critters from finding refuge inside the boxes. I ended up using shipping tape all around to completely seal the gaps. I also noticed that if you try to lift the box by the latch, the latch will open. Make sure you hold on to the box handle which is directly below the latch. I guess I should not have expected a perfectly fitting and sealing lid for the price paid. | 8% I purchased this product and was happy on the timely arrival and the product sturdiness June 29, 2017 I purchased this product and was happy on the timely arrival and the product sturdiness. I was however disappointed with the size, it's appeared larger in the picture than it really is. I will keep the containers but must order a larger size. I don't think its appropriate for storing clothes, due the its size being much smaller than illustrated in the picture. These boxes are a good size for sheet music April 14, 2017 These boxes are a good size for sheet music, but one of the lids was cracked when I received them. I hesitate to stack them on top of one another. The price is very good when compared to local stores carrying the same type of plastic boxes. Great but odd situation June 8, 2016 These will be great bins. I was super excited to get things organized today but my package only had 4, not 6. Not sure how that happens, especially since it's in a sealed sterlite box that says 6 pack, but I am disappointed I can't start. Knocking some stars for the inconvenience. Suited for long term storage November 11, 2015 I ordered this to store item in for selling on eBay. I am a little disappointed because two have already broken.I am not being rough with them, but they crack very easily. I vaguely remember having issues with sterilite before. It could be that I am using them on a daily basis. It would better suited for someone who needs long term storage. Disappointed July 8, 2015 These containers seem to be very sturdy. But, looking at the measurements before I purchased it, I thought I could fit two 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper side by side in this container. Because of the recessed sides, I am unable to do so. I wish I had known that. I can't use these containers for the purpose I bought them for. Good boxes, but fragile; Amazon helps out so do purchase. January 6, 2015 Nice product, but fragile. Two of the boxes fractured on shipping, but Amazon was kind enough to give me a partial refund and allow me to not ship back the broken items. These boxes work well for a declutter project I'm on; I have a box with lid in each main room in my home, and it encourages me to put things I don't love in the boxes. As the boxes fill, a dump them into a garbage bag and take them to our local Goodwill. | 4% ... the size I was expecting but we put to good use anyway September 16, 2017 weren't the size I was expecting but we put to good use anyway it is a cheap storage bin February 13, 2017 The storage is ok if you don't have heavy stuff to put in them. most of mine have cracked or broken. the lids and lock handles wear out fast Somewhat fragile June 6, 2016 These might be pretty fragile, because one of the boxes arrived cracked. Or it could be due to the way it was shipped. I decided to return them for a sturdier type of box. One of the storage bins was damaged upon delivery. ... January 12, 2016 One of the storage bins was damaged upon delivery. An entire corner was cracked and shattered. They are delivered in a stack, so I imagine that it was the pressure and lack of cushioning, that didn't prevent this from happening. Still, an okay product, but one is not usable. I keep the storage bins for organizing programs at the nursing home. One has papers, another has crayons, scrapbooking, sensory items. etc. Disappointed July 8, 2015 These containers seem to be very sturdy. Two Star Reviews: | 13% NOT COMPLETELY USELESS, BUT NEARLY SO June 11, 2016 Practically rubbish. Lids don't secure. Even if you tape them on. If you just want to put stuff in the box and lay the lid on top and set it on a shelf, then perfect, this is your box. But if you expect the lid to latch to the box, you are going to be disappointed. I was. They hold stuff, but they don't close! October 14, 2015 I bought these to store items in our utility room, which can get pretty buggy so I wanted everything to seal tight. I thought surely the complaints about the lids not latching must be user error. They really DO NOT latch! At all! The first tote I filled was pretty full, so I tried it on an empty one too. You can pull the lid right off, it's just too large for the tote. The position of the handles is irrelevant. It's mind boggling how non-functional these lids are. Still gave it two stars because the tote is nice and sturdy. I hope stacking them helps to seal the lid down. not what I was hoping for February 19, 2015 I purchased a few of these as a means for storing Christmas decoration. They are a good size, but the clips on the top don't actually clip. They kind of, sort of clip down, but any sort of pressure or movement and they easily slide right off. I was hoping it would be more of a hinged motion, so it would take a little bit of effort for them to come off. That isn't the case. If you're looking for storage and aren't worried about the lid movement, then I'd say these will do. If you're looking for a tight lid fit, skip this FOR SURE. Perhaps that's my fault in not investigating, but the blue handles led me to believe they would. Latching Lid? Not so. Poorly designed as well. February 13, 2014 I wasn't careful enough with the picture of the item and ended up purchasing this one instead of what I meant to get: http://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-66-Quart-ClearView-Latch-Pack/dp/B003EH1GH2/ref=sr_1_2?s=home-garden&srs=2601327011&ie=UTF8&qid=1392327829&sr=1-2&keywords=sterilite+storage+containers.The lid won't stay closed and pops off whenever the bin is moved or handled. The shape is odd: There is this depression in the sides instead of having them straight, so you can store flat things against them instead of having unused space in the container.I wouldn't recommend this item. The one I linked to is far superior and has stood up to tons of rough handling at our house. Same name brand, though. Kind of torn on this one July 17, 2013 I like that the bins are of large size (66qt), and I like that they are see-through so you can tell what's in which of the 4 bins. They seem reasonably tough but like most of these clear plastic bins I think it will crack if you ask too much of it. I also like the way the lid covers the whole top, making it essentially rain-proof.What I don't like is that the latching handles don't latch all that solidly, and it would take almost no effort to remove a latched lid without using the latch. Also, if you store them end to end, when you push one bin against another the two handles hit and it causes one of them to pop the lid.I was looking for something durable, maybe a little flexible, transparent, large, rainproof, with lids that latch and hold. I got half of those things. And the price was pretty rich, made me think I was getting something better. Barely good April 25, 2013 I got these because I wanted to have something to store camping items in to help save time with preparation/tear down.Pros:Size - they are big enough to store a lot but not bug enough to get in the way.Clear - you can see into the box without having to open it, so you save some time.Cons:Cheap construction - the plastic around the breaks easily (2 of mine were broken on delivery)Lids don't "latch" - I was hoping the tops would be like Tupperware and would seal and latch...NOT the case. Even without being full the tops easily come off when moving them around. This was a pain, as the lids would come off while moving them out to my truckWhat can I say? I was hoping for better but I guess I am stuck with these. | 4% Shipping needs to improve March 7, 2017 The containers themselves are fine, but 3 out of 6 were cracked on arrival. Missing two storage boxes June 6, 2016 I only received 4 boxes. I should have received 6storage boxes. The package is marked 6storage boxes. There are only 4storage boxes. How do I get the other two boxes boxes? Storage for small items only April 26, 2015 The design of the bins makes the bin even smaller than advertised and can only hold small items and small toys. Forget about storing any clothes other than socks. Look for larger bins especially when buying these bins in bulk Good product, but part of the order was broke April 8, 2015 I ordered two sets of these containers, for a total of 12 containers. Two containers were cracked/broke to the point the container would not seal. The containers are useful and are sturdy, but they were broke upon arrival. | 3% Shipping needs to improve March 7, 2017 The containers themselves are fine, but 3 out of 6 were cracked on arrival. Didn't receive enough lids - great storage bins when lids are provided October 24, 2016 Great sturdy storage bins that are perfect for storing tiny baby clothes. However, I received my order from Amazon with only 5 lids to 6 containers. A storage container without a lid isn't much use. Disappointed. Two Stars January 20, 2016 They arrived with 2 of the black clips missing I should have checked size...too small Overall quality of boxes are good, dimensions are misleading December 24, 2015 I found the listed dimensions to be very misleading and the Amazon "answered questions" to be wrong. The "answered question" that lists these as 7.25" deep is incorrect. The boxes are only 7" deep at the very edges (this is listed on the side of each bin), then there is a weird bubble in the center that takes away another 1/4"-1/2" of usable storage space and also makes it impossible to have items flat in the box. I wanted these to store unfolded greeting card stock and they are not right for my purposes. | 6% There are no reviews yet | 15% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 19% These totes are terrible - lids wont stay closed unless duct taped January 20, 2016 These are the worst plastic totes I have ever used. the plastic tub itself is OK but the lid is awful - it wont stay on unless you are extra careful to make sure you dont have anything that might push on the outsidewalls of the tub -- for example if you fill it with clothes you naturally want to get as much in as you can but if anything pushes on the sidewalls or the top -- even if its just a fluffy blanket the clasps on these are so bad that anything that touches the lid will also prevent you from being able to properly close this container. I would have returned these but needed them right away and couldnt wait for anything better so I ended up duct taping some of the lids closed and on a couple i put another tote on top of it and that was enough to get it to stay in place. Please do not spend your money on these. the latches aren't very secure and when they arrived 2 ... March 2, 2015 the latches aren't very secure and when they arrived 2 of them (the bottom ones in the box) were cracked and broke. Defective July 8, 2014 I had to return because the tops did not fit on the containers. I could push the handles down (with the locking mechanism) and then lift the top off of it. I read other reviews on this but wanted to try it out. It was a waste of my time to have to return. Take away - I should listen to the reviews next time. Flimsy Lids with a Pathetic Latch January 20, 2014 So disappointed in these storage bins. I bought other serilite storage bins about a year ago and they were great! I went to buy more and couldn't find them anwhere. It looks like the company has downgraded their quality tremendously. The bins I own have secure/tight lids whith a strong latch. These bins have super flimsy lids that barely latch. I can actually pull the lid slightly open when they are latched! So super disappointed. I would return them, but I'm having a baby in a week and need something to help organize things around the house. Not happy that I have to settle on these ones... Lid does NOT seal well and latches are weak January 1, 2014 Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before purchasing this product because its average rating was pretty good and it's just a storage container. This was a BIG mistake! Like other reviewers have reported, the lid does NOT create a seal at all. The handles also only barely latch on.I used one of these bins to store and transport a duvet, which was a tight fit, and when I closed the box, the duvet was bulging and would push the lid away from the box everywhere except near the handles where it was latched. The latches were able to stay latched, but it took very little to have them come loose while moving the box around.Definitely stay away from this product. These bins had one job. And they failed. June 12, 2013 The lids to these bins do not latch to the bin itself. It seems like they're supposed to, but if you try to pick them up, the lid will pop off. To my mind, this is entirely unacceptable, since the whole point of buying a storage bin with a lid is to keep things enclosed. When I used these for storage, I had to duck tape the lids to the bins. These bins are not worth it - especially considering how expensive they are. | 5% How disappointing April 28, 2017 The first batch of bins were great but my second set arrived cracked. Very disappointed.... Cracked tub and lid February 8, 2017 Smaller than I expected and of all 6 tubs & lids, it was the. Dry center of the box where one was cracked. Doesn't sound like a shipping accident. One Star November 14, 2016 I ONLY RECIEVED 4 OF THESE!!! I SPECIFICALLY GOT THESES BECAUSE THERE WAS 6! They are covered in a white film on the inside ... September 29, 2016 They are covered in a white film on the inside. The last thing i want to do is have to clean everyone of these containers i just bought. I want to return them but it seems i will have to pay to return them. I should NOT have to pay to return something that to me is unusable. One Star March 30, 2015 Lids cracked first time I used the containers, they were packed light items barely any weight Break easily, pricey. December 30, 2014 It's definitely my fault that I didn't read the description carefully, but these are much smaller than I expected. I was solely paying attention to the price because for $6-7 you can get a 58 quart container at Walmart. My mom did try to tell me that sterilite containers, especially clear ones, break easily. One of the lids cracked so fast I don't even know how it happened. I literally had them for two hours and as I was packing I looked down it was just broken. | 2% Yes I could put them in the other direction but then I have so much extra space that it is a waste. May 21, 2017 The size listed on these boxes is inaccurate. They only measure 11 inches across from outside edge to outside edge. Plus they are not 7 inches deep except on the very outer edges. Not an accurate description. I specifically ordered these to house items that measured 11 1/2 by 6 1/2 (wide and tall). Yes I could put them in the other direction but then I have so much extra space that it is a waste. I don't think I ordered the big one. January 22, 2017 I didn't get the big one, instead I got 6 small ones. One Star November 14, 2016 I ONLY RECIEVED 4 OF THESE!!! I SPECIFICALLY GOT THESES BECAUSE THERE WAS 6! Missing Black Clasps for all bins October 7, 2016 These storage bins only had the black clasps on one side. There is supposed to be a black closure on each end, but in this one specific order, they were missing on one side. Very disappointing. I did not open them immediately, so I did not notice it until today when I opened the box. | 7% There are no reviews yet | 25% There are no reviews yet |
