Solid Equipment Mat
April 29, 2017
We bought this mat as a base for our at-home spin bike and it's held up fabulously. It's a nice thickness and a solid appearing material. 3 months in and it still looks brand new. Doesn't hurt that it's extremely easy to clean (the texture is minimal enough for cleaning purposes, but definitely enough to be useful)
Must have for cardio equipment
December 18, 2016
Funny story, I ordered this mat from my couch in MN. It shipped from the west coast, but the company is actually in town. Small world!Mat is made of quality material, without any kind of weird rubber smell. Thick enough to protect carpet from cardio equipment and doesn't take up an obscene amount of space. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
Great Mat, easy to clean.
June 18, 2016
This is a great mat. The mat is durable, and cleans easily. It's textured, which I wasn't expecting, but actually prefer. The texture helps the equipment stay-put, as well as makes it better when I use it for myself. It works well for an exercise bike, as well as for doing cardio. I also do T25/Insanity using this mat, and highly recommend it for both! It has the right amount of give, without being to soft. Good choice.
Great Mat
June 17, 2016
Bought this to go under a bike and bike trainer for indoor workouts. The thickness of the mat is perfect, and it even reduces some of the sound the trainer makes. It is easy to clean and also easy to store away if needed.
Thick, durable mat with almost no PVC odor
January 6, 2016
Great product that's exactly what it says it is. And unlike other PVC mats I've used, there is almost zero smell - and it seems very durable. Another mat I purchased for twice the price (not from amazon) tore almost immediately when I positioned my workout bench on it - and has stankified my workout room with a PVC chemical scent for over a week now. The size of this one was absolutely perfect for my elliptical, as well. Highly recommend it.
Great Mat!

The Supermat Heavy Duty is an excellent mat which I use for aerobic exercise, stepping, and to do push ups on, etc. The mat has a nice feel to it, is thick, giving good shock absorption, and is non-slip.This was a great buy for the price. I am glad to have this mat.

Mostly Awesome But....
April 24, 2017
its awesome but the seat has to be replaced. Its hard as rock and it will damage your personal parts if you use it with that seat. OUCH only bad thing so faroh one foot was dented from the factory. Know this because the box was not dented or even torn. so it was put in the box that way. I banged it back to fit the bottom with a hammer. not the prettiest fix but good to go for use. :-(
Great Ride
October 23, 2015
I really love this bike. It's a smooth, steady, well-balanced spin bike. The digital display is quite simple - so nothing fancy there, but gives you the pertinent information that you need. It's super heavy, so if you are light-weight like me, you won't be able to move it around much even with the wheels. Even though I love the bike, I have one gripe about Nautilus or Schwinn (whomever is responsible). The box the bike came in was damaged but it did look like it hurt the bike until I started assembly. To get the bike out of the box, I had to cut the box apart - no lifting it out for me. I carried all of the pieces to where I wanted it placed in my basement. When I started to assemble the bike, I noticed that one of the lower supports that needs to bolt onto the floor crossbar was bent so badly that it wouldn't bolt on. Because the two pieces are made of heavy gauge steel, you can't just unbend it and make it work.I took a bunch of pictures and proceeded to contact the vendor. A week goes by and no response. I contacted them again. Again, no response. I finally contacted a friend of mine who works with metal. He was able to come over and bend it back in the right shape so that I could bolt it together. Thanks but no thanks Nautilus/Schwinn! It's now been 2 months since I first contacted them and still not a word. That being said, now that I have it put together, it's a great product.
Great, durable
May 6, 2015
Great, durable, sturdy bike. Only problem (but not really a problem) was a few scratches when I took it out the box but I didnt purchase it to look at it nor were the scratches major. Mine does not make noise, the seat is fine esp if ur use to riding and those who want a spin bike for the workout won't be sitting on the seat much anyway. I get good resistance, haven't had any problem so far. Heights in the house hold range from 5'7" to 6'3" therefore the bike is accommodating to all parties. All in all would purchase another one as a gift.
I cannot say enough about how much I love this bike
April 1, 2015
I cannot say enough about how much I love this bike! I am a competitive fitness athlete and purchased it for the purposes of fasted cardio before starting my work day. Comfortable, easy to assemble, great ride--no problem with the level of resistance from the flywheel only offering 31 lbs. of resistance... any spin enthusiast truly using it as a spin bike for 45+ minute ride will get a great workout!
It is sturdy and easy to assemble
January 24, 2015
I use it everyday. It is sturdy and easy to assemble.
Great bike. Great price
December 5, 2014
Great bike. Great price. I was hesitant to purchase after reading all the reviews about the packaging problems but mine arrived safely with only minimal damage to the styrofoam inside the box. Very easy to assemble. No issues with strange noises, the seat is not horribly uncomfortable as another owner stated, and it's simple to use. Cadence is smooth. I do wish the handle bars were adjustable, but it wasn't worth paying for the more expensive model. This is the same bike we have at my office (PT office and it been heavily used for over 4 years). I'd buy this again or buy it as a gift. Love it!!

It works well

It works well, but it starts flaking after a while. So every time I roll it up I have to vacuum because I don't want my toddler stepping on all the black flakes that come off of it.

December 1, 2016
This mat is a flexible, soft, rubbery like material. My purpose for this mat was to keep my recliner base from cutting into my carpeting. I folded this mat in half and placed it underneath my recliner. It's keeping my recliner base from cutting into the carpeting and the recliner does not slip due to the soft non-slip surface. I like it.
Great but a little short in length.
March 19, 2015
Love it. Just got new hardwood floors and I didn't want the treadmill to move around and scratch the floor. This is the perfect so far. My only suggestion would be to make the mat about a foot longer. The treadmill only barely fits on it......or maybe make it available in different lengths Otherwise, great product!
All good!!
June 5, 2014
There's nothing necessarily special about this mat, but it works perfectly for my needs. I bought this to go under my new elliptical machine - it seems to be sturdy enough to help prevent the machine from rocking. Since I put the machine in my living room, I didn't want a giant mat, and this one is just the right size - not a lot of overhanging mat around the edges of the machine. The mat is thick and sturdy and I was a little concerned at first that the edges didn't want to lay flat (it was rolled when shipped) but after laying out on the floor for a few days, it settled down and is now perfectly flat. I really don't have any complaints!
Works well under my Bowflex
March 26, 2013
Some reviewers called the material "hard" and "thin". "Thin" was accurate, "hard" is not. They're soft and thin. I suppose if you placed these mats on a cement floor, you might be tempted to call them hard, but I think it'd be more accurate to say "being so thin, they don't provide much cushioning".I didn't buy them for the cushioning. I bought them because they sounded durable (and they seem to be so far), and because they're made out of PVC. The PVC part was important to me because my plan was to glue two of them together using PVC cement (the kind plumbers use). It worked! I glued two together in the sort of "T" shape required for my Bowflex Blaze. I'm happy with the result.
This mat does what it should and is worth the price.
November 28, 2012
I chose this mat for my indoor Kinetic Road Machine indoor trainer mostly because it didn't cost $65 plus. The mat does exactly what it should... it keeps my trainer in place and protects most of my floor. The mat isn't quite as wide as I would like but the rubber feet of the trainer are the only parts that extend off of the mat. Also, there are puncture marks on the mat from where I stepped on it with my cycling cleats but that was my own fault. Definitely an affordable piece of training equipment!

Great bike, super sturdy and feels like it will last a long time
August 24, 2017
Pros: Very sturdy, well built, easy to put together, easy to drag around.Cons: The seat hurts after a few minutes (I'll buy a thicker seat or cover for it though, easy fix), I like to ride barefoot and the pedals have metal spikes on them for tracking (easy fix, I'll replace the pedals with flat ones), the box was shredded to bits (the box isn't sturdy enough for the weight of the bike, so not fully UPSs fault). Luckily nothing fell out of the box during shipping as a result of the partially open end of it.
I like the distance/speed measurement
July 28, 2017
Decent build quality. I like the distance/speed measurement, but I with that there was better system for measuring the resistance. The resistance is just a felt pad that rubs on the wheel, so it's hard to get it consistent between rides.
easy to use and fits nicely in my office space
July 27, 2017
No frills work out. The first bike was damaged, but previous reviews had warned of this problem. The replacement was damage-free and assembled fairly quickly by my brother who is familiar with workout equipment. I use the bike about 3 times per week. It is simple, solid, easy to use and fits nicely in my office space. Moving it around is easy when I vacuum.

Great bike. Just what I needed for an at-home workout. Only complaint is that the bike came with noticeable scratches. First time that's ever happened for me with any Amazon order.
Very nice bike, has a little noise since chain driven
January 20, 2015
Very nice bike, has a little noise since chain driven, but not to bad, seat as others have mentioned a little small and hard, but can be replaced if you want to. Picked this bike over others since it had a monitor for miles, calories, time, and distance, very hard to find in this price range. More refinement will cost considerably more. Having the monitor a bonus, you want to know about any improvement you have made and a little motivator to do a little more. Comes with batteries, more expensive models might need to be plugged in, thus limiting where you place bike, extension cords in middle of room not recommended. Also, trusted the Schwinn name over others. Amazon's free shipping a huge bonus, box does weigh around 100lbs, so something to consider.
Great bike, but shipping experience may not be worth it.
January 10, 2015
I have a long history with Schwinn products and for some reason I still buy them despite two consecutive annoying situations, the second one being the receipt of this bike. Is this bike awesomely priced? Yes. Does Schwinn make great products? Yes. My first Schwinn elliptical machine, which I bought used on Craigslist, STILL works after being moved from house to house to house to house in the back of a pickup truck... I bought it 6 years ago. I lost 60 lbs on that machine. My second Schwinn was broken after assembly and it took me forever to deal with it. But I digress-- I expected to have issues with this item's shipping when I bought it: I live in Alaska. Nonetheless, the item did show up when it was projected to. Sadly, when assembled, I noticed it came with big scratches, a rip in the cover of the handlebars, and most importantly a missing console. I am mildly annoyed that I was shipped an item that someone else returned, but hey, what do you expect for the price? This is a frequent issue with this company. It's not specifically Amazon's fault, either, they are just the middleman. That said, Amazon did credit me $70. I appreciate that. However, money does not solve my issue: I only have the option of returning the entire (assembled) bike for a new one. So, after speaking to Amazon I called Nautilus, who apologized profusely, gave me a free mat for the bike and said they'd ship me new parts for the broken ones (they can't ship me a new body, so the giant scratch will have to stay). Great. Thank you. Lo and behold, I call Nautilus a week later to ask what the status is and they tell me the consoles are back-ordered.What??These are the kinds of issues you can expect with these bikes. The bike has manual cranks, so I can still ride it, and the caloric burn is BS anyway, but it'd be nice to at the very least receive all the parts (even if damaged) and not be told I have to wait multiple months for a console that should have been in the box. How hard is to to ship all of the parts?? Come on. My expectations were low and I am still mildly disappointed... I would've been OK with the damaged parts; I even would've been OK with the missing console, but telling me I have to wait an unspecified amount of time to get one is really unacceptable. That said, I live in a condo the size of a lunchbox and was looking for a machine that fit adequately -- this is an amazing product for the price if you don't get hosed with shipping. I would take special precaution if you live in a rural area, and inspect the parts before you assemble the bike, because frequently your only option is to return the whole damn thing, which is an inconvenience to say the least. On the flipside, you can order exercise equipment online, and have it shipped to your house -- a miracle of our time, for those of you who may have forgotten that riding a spin bike in your living room while watching your plasma TV was not always an option. Manage your expectations and things may turn out OK... Schwinn does make great products, but have not quite fine-tuned the shipping experience. The bike works fine, perhaps someday I'll receive the console in the mail. Here's hoping.

Okay for light Exercises!
September 28, 2014
While this seemed to be a sturdy mat, and maybe it is, for weight lifting and yoga. But if you are planning to do cross training and Cardio then the mat will scrape and leave a lot of small black dots. It wears out fast. The mat also moves if you are doing a lot of cardio and fast movements exercises. I still use it but looking for something more fit for heavy cardio workouts.

Compromise for an acceptable price - another one with shipping damage due to packaging method.
December 6, 2016
Arrived with damage due to the way it is placed in the box when shipped. From review here, it sounds as if these types of issues tend to happen with this product due to the weight and the insufficient packaging method used. The metal ends were bent in, resulting in the paint in those areas to flake off exposing the bare metal. I really didn't want to return this 90+lb item so I worked with Amazon to come to an agreement on a partial refund, and used a rubber mallet to move the bent metal back into place enough to allow the stabilizing horizontal bars to be screwed in.As for the feel of the bike overall, it seems like a fair compromise for a good price on a brand name bike. The 31lb flywheel makes the bike feel cheaper than those with 40lb, and the adjustment screws need tightened every time to prevent wobble due to the loose tolerances. Chain is (as expected) noisier than a belt, but it's not overly loud. The computer is cheap/basic, and the dial for adjusting resistance reminds me of every shower in existence where 3/4 the dial does nothing, and 1/16 of the dial seems to be a night/day difference. As I said, I'm willing to live with these compromises for the price. I'd say go with this if you want to try out indoor cycling and are on a budget, and invest in something sturdier with a better feel once you know it's worth it for you.

Make a lot of noise
It's not bad as long as it's not making The Noise.
December 30, 2015
I really wanted to love this bike, but after a few months of using it I find the friction brake that acts as a resistance modifier to be infuriating. It will start doing the awful screeching or moaning sound that others have described, and then I'll realign it, and it'll work for a while before it comes back. I don't regret buying it, but I'd not likely recommend it either if someone had a credible alternative.
I think this is a great, entry level bike that is very affordable
March 26, 2015
I think this is a great, entry level bike that is very affordable. It was easy to set up and it's fairly quiet. It does make a whinning sound when the resistance is up high but with headphones on, you can hardly hear it.Shortcomings: the computer output is pretty horrible honestly. It cycles through your speed, distance, RPMs, time, and calories burned. You have no way to stay on one read-out (like RPMs which is the only one I care about). It also doesn't have an output for torque or watts (information I also care about but isn't available). So you have no idea where you are resistance-wise other than feel. It makes it hard to have benchmarks or to follow a class where you have to adjust your resistance frequently. This is my biggest issue with the bike. Also, the handlebars do not move forwards and backwards, only up and down. To me, they're a little too close but I have longer arms. My boyfriend also uses the bike and has no complaints about the handlebar placement. The pedals do not allow for cycling shoes with cleats so I bought different pedals and haven't had an issue.
It works great. It's very sturdy

It works great. It's very sturdy. Only problem I'm having is when you increase the tension, the wheel makes a very high pitched squeaking noise. Overall, everything else is functioning.

they have order quality control issues
November 8, 2017
I would have left 5 stars....I ordered three of these, all the same size. I really need three IDENTICAL mats. Two of them were the size I ordered...one was WAY smaller. I actually need a total of 9 mats, but ordered three bc they were needed immediately and I wanted to see the quality. I still need six more mats, but I won't plan to order from Supermats again since they sent me one really small mat. I would have rather just had the two and not paid for the third mat (same price) that was so small. I had to make it work anyway, but I'm really unhappy they charged me for 3 mats of the correct size but sent one itty bitty one.

Very bad product. It says it's sturdy. But the built quality was like a cheap kitchen mat we get from WalMart. Waste of money.
Too soft and weak
April 8, 2015
This mat looked good at first, but after about 2 weeks it developed a 3 inch long tear at one edge. It's very soft and not very tough. Two of the corners have been chewed off by a curious cat, who now leaves it alone. She left little black plastic "pebbles" all around the mat from her chewing. I wouldn't recommend this because it's so easily ripped. It was also nearly impossible for me to move the exercise bike once I had it on the mat. The mat seemed to hug the bike, which makes it hard to clean around if you want to move something.

resistance knob never worked quite right. It was always overly noisy. After just a few months the threads are stripped on it. How many pennies could they have saved cheaping out on the quality and grade of a threaded rod? something that is a few dollars when made to proper grade and tolerance.

The bike is awesome! However it arrived as damaged! The damage requires hammering the back foot of the main body that got curled inside due to the bad treatment of UPS!
Would be a great bike if everything worked and wasn't damaged during shipping.
February 8, 2016
Shipping was quick but the bike came with a big scratch on the frame. If you are buying online, don't expect the bike to be anywhere near perfect condition. Some of the parts were also broken in the box when I received them. The wheels makes a very high pitched sound when the resistance is high enough. You'll need to go buy some silicone lubricant to get that fixed. I chose this bike over some of the other stationary bikes with better reviews because it had the display that would tell you your time, distance, calories, RPM. The monitor and sensor on my bike only worked for my first two rides. Now every time I use it, the sensor works for 10-13 minutes before it stops and shuts off.

Too much troubleshooting
March 13, 2015
The bike was easy to put together and light enough to take upstairs which were the best things about it. Since I got it I have called support twice. The first time the monitor did not work because the sensor was not positioned properly and they guided me through the fix. The second time was because it started making a humming noise only at certain resistance. They told me to spray silicone on it which helped temporarily but it came back even worse a couple of days later. I am going to call again but if I could go back I would get a different machine
Nice ride.......but be prepared to replace the resistance knob q 6 months
January 7, 2015
Arrived sooner than expected which was nice. Minor damage to the box=scratches on bike but ok. Easy to put together. Gives you a good workout. Only thing needed is to have a ledge/holder to hold music devices.UPDATE 13 mos later: I use the bike Avg 2 hrs a week. I adjust the resistance knob for a better workout as most would do, I AM ON MY 3rd RESISTANCE KNOB! the screw strips then freezes up. You can then no longer adjust it! They are quick to send you a new one but you can't ride for maybe 10days. After a year they will charge you for the knob. The company makes it sound like I ride it incorrectly by adjusting the knob. Weird. Good equipment......except for that.

February 10, 2017
This is definitely not worth the money. I bought this product exactly 3 months and 7days ago and it is already breaking apart. I use it only for working out. One type of workout I use it for consists on putting my bike roller on it and start biking (see pictures). When I use it like this, the bike roller does not move - it is a static workout. So there is not a extreme stress or strain on the mat by the roller. Another way I use it is to do abs in which case, I simply lay it on the ground and I lay on top of it and do the abs workouts. These are literally the only two ways I use this mat. So to be advertised as a heavy Duty product is unfair with the buyers. I have never gotten it soaking wet, only a few dozens drops of sweat sometimes but never more than that. It is not like I bought it to use it in the kitchen of a restaurant where the actual heavy duty mats are exposed to all types of materials (water, oil, grease, etc) and strains. Therefore, I decided to take the time to write a solid review and let people know that this is not a product worth buying from this company. You will be wasting your money. I do not know what company to recommend for this types of products because this is the first time I buy something like this. If you appreciate my review and know of a good company to buy mats from, I would appreciate if you post it here. Thanks in advance.
