Great Tires...
May 13, 2017
These are Great Tires. I put them on a 99 Polaris explorer 400. They have about 1.125" of tread, the rubber is really soft and where shipped in boxes. I will definitely purchase these again.

Tires came in boxes which made them easy to install because the beads were spread. The traction on these tires is great, hopefully they do well in the snow when plowing and last long. For the price they seem like a great product.

Very Happy With This Winch
February 21, 2017
Great winch, better deal than the Smittybuilt, they pretty much look like the same unit. The Smitty claims 4k but line speeds in use and everything seem the same just from side by side comparison on pulling roughly the same load. The drum spacing is better on the Superwinch and the line does not get tangled between the housing and drum. The instructions were good and easy to install, the only thing I did not like was the positive supply cable breaker which has no protection from grounding out and you have to wrap it with electrical tape, not a huge deal though. I would recommend this winch for any application in its load range, it is made in China as it seems all these smaller units are, but this one is well refined all the way around, especially for what it costs.
SUPERB Plow Lift
April 25, 2016
I purchased this winch, primarily based on the reviews that I read. Well, it was a great purchase that exceeded my expectations. The main reason I purchased this particular plow was for lifting a 60 in plow blade on my 2003 Honda Foreman 450s for winter plowing. Lifting that big honkin' blade by hand over and over again would have definitely left me sore for a few days. The installation was a little time consuming (although I am a neat freak). Mounting the winch to the custom mount, also purchased here on Amazon, was a direct fit. Running the relay and wiring is what the time consuming part was. I ended up mounting the relay in the rear glove compartment, then ran the supplied positive and negative wires back to the battery. For the 12VDC accessory supply, I spliced into the cigarette lighter power, so that way, the winch will only be able to operate when the key is on.I've used this set up through one winter and so far so good. It made it through with zero issues. The steel rope never got tangled or hung up either. The unit also comes with a remote switch where you can plug into an optional socket that also needs to be mounted. I have not gone that far with it, but certainly will in the future.Other than just using this for plowing, the first actual use of the winch, 3 days after I finished the install, was to winch out my girlfriend's friend's car that got stuck in a ditch that runs along my driveway. After hooking up to the front frame of the Saturn Vue, the winch pulled the damn thing out. I couldn't believe it. If that wasn't reassurance enough that this winch was going to be awesome... I don't know what is :)I highly recommend this winch for you ATV. You will not be disappointed!

Awesome product with a lot of pulling power for an ATV application. After my initial installation there was a problem with the solenoid. I contacted superwinch and within less than 5 minutes had a new on the way. Customer service answered the both times within two rings and there was no automated attendant, just real live people. Absolutely no hassle and the new part arrived in three business days. AWESOME AWESOME customer service. No problems since. I bought two of them and would buy another.
Great package deal, make sure to get a mount plate separate.

I ordered a mount plate specific for my 08 Kawasaki Brute Force 750. Instructions were easy to read and this was easy to install. It did take some time to do the wiring. Note: do not tighten all nuts down completely on the u-bolts.The instructions were easy to follow. I did not wire the red lead into a switch or ignition, I just wired that to the battery positive, this was required to make it work.I did not wire in the remote harness either. I just used the supplied in/out switch and mounted it to my handlebar. I followed all factory wiring hareness arms in the steering shaft to make sure this will last a lifetime.Great product!! I will be using this to lift and lower a Moose 60" County Plow system.
Great with one exception

I'm not going to regurgitate what others have said but will simply add an observation that they didn't. The bolt holes for mounting the winch are not threaded. Instead you have some nuts inside and they have enough play to slide around to where they're not lined up perfectly with the holes. This made getting them to line up in order to drive the bolt through the frame, mount and into the hole (from underneath no less) a real frustration. What seemed to make it easier for me was to get the bolt up to the nut then wiggle the bolt a bit while turning slowly until you feel the first thread lock on. Why they didn't just thread the hole instead of going with nuts is beyond me. Also another minor agitation was the instructions say you have to remove a roller in order to fit the line through: False! Maybe if you put the hook on first... even then it's easier to remove the hook than one of those rollers. All in all I am extremely happy with this winch and would put it up against any comparable yet more expensive one. Great buy.Oh and the mount it came with worked Perfectly on my 2013 Yamaha Grizzly 450. It's not what I was lead to believe by reading the other reviews. Everything lined up just right with my Grizzly and it's not cheap steel either, so if you are able to use it I wouldn't hesitate... especially at around $100 for a different mount I would wait and see if it can work for you before investing in another.
Superwinch 1130220 LT3000 ASTV winch
December 10, 2012
This takes up no more space than a less powerful winch, and gives you more grunt for the buck!Carry better quality straps and pulley, and you can do more with less strain. Overkill is good when it has really hit the fan and you are in deep...trouble. DO MAINTAIN the cable, pull it out to clean and lube it as necessary or as routine care. The military does something that most people wouldn't think of. We did this in Korea 72-74 in a mobile Forward Air Control unit, and it makes sense! We had lots of off-road Deuce-and a-half''s and jeeps.Pull out the entire length of cable, and spray-paint the last 4 or 5 wraps of cable on the drum with bright red paint! This will warn you to not unwind that last bit of cable and strain the attachment to the drum.

Took much longer to install than I had hoped, but once it was installed it worked like a champ. 5 stars for quality. Loses a star because it took me all day to install.
If possible it would be 3 1/2 star rating!
June 8, 2017
Purchased 11.2015 to assist with pulling wheelchair into van when conditions are slippery, etc. So it has been used infrequently. Winch mechanics are fine. Hand control is a problem. It has stopped functioning twice in the last 3 months. I disassembled it each time. I found the contact rocker mechanism out of place the first time. The second time it appears the contacts are pitted/carboned up from arcing. So a new bat handle, heavy duty, switch is installed.Switch quality was not worthy of a full 2 star reduction in rating. The winch works fine when switch works.
Not Bad!
May 4, 2016
Not Bad! The price was right on this winch, so i ordered one. I also ordered the appropriate mounting bracket for my ATV. Both arrived in new condition, all pieces were there, everything looked good. Installation wasn't horrible, the instructions were small and somewhat vague (thankfully i can read a wiring diagram and figure things out on my own). Upon first use i noticed that the cable slipped a lot more than i think it should have, so i ran it all the way out and re-spooled it. Much better now. Next time i re-spool i will be using synthetic rope though.
Comparing the LT3000 with the Terra?
January 23, 2015
I purchased the Superwinch LT3000 for a Polaris Sportsman 550 XP, I also purchased the Superwinch mounting bracket. 1st a tip for XP owners. The installation for the Polaris XP will be upside down from all the pictures in the directions, but Superwinch does say in the written instructions to mount it upside down. You want the positive and negative power terminals on the left side of the ATV (or your right if you're facing the front of the ATV). If you don't do this one of the terminals will rub your radiator hose. Trust me you'll know if you make the mistake, and you'll have to wrestle it out of the mounting bracket to flip it around.About The Winch: The price is fantastic, but I also have a Terra 3500 and you can see quality differences. I see the differences with the wired remote switch, the handlebar switch, and solenoid. I’m sure they’ll hold up fine, but they’re of less quality. I tested the LT3000 the other day in the woods, in deep snow, on a steep hill. The line comes off the spool very smoothly when pulling by hand, and the winch pulls fast. It didn't seem inferior to the 3500 in any way. Time will tell, but the LT3000 looks nice and seems like a quality unit.

December 16, 2014
Great winch, already used it a couple of times to pull down some small dead trees with my ATV. It's nice to have both the handlebar remote and the remote with a long cord, even though you may never use the latter. The only complaint I had was with the instructions. I'm an electrical engineer and very handy with tools as well, but they were NOT very clear with the wiring instructions and I ended up having to call them to clarify just to make sure. The other complaint is that the solenoid has to be wrapped in tape or something similar - c'mon guys - surely you could have provided a solenoid that was insulated properly?
Great winch at a great price!
December 30, 2013
Got this as a Christmas gift for my 2001 Yamaha Big Bear 400. Started the mounting project on the 26th and finished the next day. Loved the fact that pretty much everything I needed was in the box. Due to the mounting plate being too small for the factory winch mounts, I had to fabricate a mounting plate out of 3/8" steel plate. Keep in mind that you have a hefty breaker on the Positive power cord and a good sized solenoid that you will have to find a spot to mount. I chose to mount everything in the little trunk/tool box on the back end of the bike. The location caused me to need longer wires/cables to run from the solenoid to the winch. The included cables were 6' lug to lug. Be sure to seal off any holes with RTV or silicone to help reduce moisture exposure of the solenoid and breaker. Two things that just don go together are electrical components and water.I wold prefer that Superwinch included unfinished cables so you could cut them to length depending on your specific mounting situation but otherwise I didn't have any issues with mounting this beast up. Winches out and in very smooth, the free wheel for payout worked great. Love the fact that this included a handheld remote control as well so you dont need to be on or near the bike to operate. Fo the additional parts (steel plate, Stainless steel mounting bolts for plate, longer 4ga battery cables, beer) I spent just under $100 for a total project cost of about $215 to mount up this winch.I will be sure to update this review as I put this animal through its paces and compare it to my buddies dealer installed Warn 2500lb winch at a cost of $650. Here's hoping I got the better setup!!

It has too much cable. If you dont wind it very neatly it jams into the spacer bolts and smashes the cable. Of course this is difficult to do when you are winching a heavy load. Also I've had it right at 3000 lbs. That really is the limit, it was struggling.
Installation review Only...
September 19, 2017
3 stars on the installation and here's why... I have a 2006 Honda Foreman. I purchased the KFI plate (perfect fit), glad I did because the universal plate that came with this winch wouldn't have worked. The instructions that come with the super winch is really vague. Super winch suggest that the solenoid be placed in the storage box or under the seat to keep it dry. The hot & ground 6 gauge wire provided was about 3ft too short, the handle bar switch Hot wire was about 2 ft short. I had to run to lowes and pick up some extra wire to make it work. My biggest complaint is the instructions so far. Took me about day to install it, prolly my OCD is partly to blame as well. I would recommend it, but be prepared to make some adjustments during your installation.

September 17, 2017
I was able to get it together and make it all work, but it's apparent there is some quality issues.First off, the 50 amp breakers are mounted to an online open buss bar. This creates quite a challenge when mounting to an all metal structure..short of completely wrapping in electrical tape....Second issue is the terminal ends on the 10/12 gauge power wires were the wrong size...You can make it all work, just have to get creative...

March 8, 2017
The product seems to be a good product but it was missing the bolts that attached the motor to the mounting plate and the bots tat mounted the swivel to the mounting plate. I called the company and they mailed the bolts to me. The bolts were too large for the holes in the mounting plate, so I drilled them out to fit the bolts. When I went to mount the motor to the plate , the holes were off, so I had to re drill the 4 holes.. I thought I was done until I noticed that there were 3 screws missing that holds the motor to the cable spool. I called the company again and this time they were not as helpful. Good old Ace hardware and a lot of time to mount this winch. I wouldn't go thru this again if I new what was ahead of me.
Good until brushes failed
December 26, 2016
Worked well as an ATV winch for a couple of years. Motor failed earlier this year -- brushes needed replacement. Seems like this should be a part the manufacturer could make available as a spare part (for a few dollars). Ended up replacing the entire motor for $64.

Steel cable is garbage, frays easy, breaks easy and tangles on drum regulary. Replace with a decent 3/16
March 6, 2016
The winch itself is as good as they get for a light duty 3000 lb. plow unit. The double control is great especially the hand-held unit. The provided 2 way mounted switch is very poor and can be improved a lot,One of the worst feature on this winch is the garbage steel cable, it is one of the worst products I have ever come across. It frays easily, cut your skin and tangles in no time. The Winch has no limit switch to stop over pull and if you think the motor will stop when you reach full pull, you will be very wrong. My first cable broke the first time I used it (snapped the hook) and I had to redo the cable end and re-crimp the cable. 3/16 cables should be way stronger than the Chinese garbage fitted on this winch (it does no justice). The 50 ft cable length is a detriment. it coils and gets stuck on the drum which is a disaster to untangle.Simply, a disappointment and a dangerous feature that should be re-evaluated again by a big name in winches.Used it twice, cable failed once (my fault, pulled up and snapped cable) and the second time the cable got frayed on the drum and stuck really bad.

December 30, 2014
Decent winch, but be careful if you have a Honda Rancher. The way a Rancher is built, you have to flip the winch over to fit in the bumper. Not such a big deal, except that puts the wiring on the exhaust side of the bike. To keep the wiring off the exhaust, you have to route the wire to the other side. But the LT winches don't have as much wire as the higher-end winches do, so you end up about 18" short. The money you save going with the cheaper winch you are going to spend getting longer wires.

I destroyed my first winch through misuse, so I took extra care to protect this one. However after one season of use for my atv snowplow, the spool has already lost a chunk of metal. I don't know how that happened since I couldn't of sideloaded the spool by using it for a snowplow.

JUNK
September 27, 2017
This winch is garbage. It was mounted and used once to ensure correct wiring. The ATV then was garaged and not used for a week. When I went to use the atv the winch would not go out. It would only reel in making it very tight. My mechanic looked at it stated it has a bad control module. Super winch told me they will not warrantee it but I could buy a new part for $45. Unacceptable on a brand new winch. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Hardware does not match up to threaded holes in the winch, sheared one right off. Once I removed the others they were obviously stripping too. Wasted 3 hrs on it and sent it back.

December 31, 2016
The cable drum was loose and shifted sideways leaving a gap at one end or the other as it moved. The 1st time I tried it, the cable wedged into the gap between the drum and the motor housing where it destroyed a gasket and a bushing. I REALLY wish I'd known that before I went to all the work to install it.I'm returning it getting a different brand.
