t work i will put it on another one of my rifles best quality out there for the price
August 11, 2017
This is the second one of these i have bought. But this time i did in error. I am wanting to put this on an AR 15. I swore when I got the other one there was some part that came with it. That you could do that? Has anyone one tried it on that platform and got it to work? Any thoughts would be appriciated.if it doesn.t work i will put it on another one of my rifles best quality out there for the price. Thank you
Unbelievable quality for price
May 7, 2017
Unbelievable quality for the money. Great on my savage 93 22wmr. Stable enough to group 25 rds in 1 inch groups at 150yds being sloppy about it. Put em in the same hole at 50 if taking my time
am I glad I decided to try using one
March 17, 2017
This is my first bipod. I've hunted for many years but never considered using a bipod. Boy, am I glad I decided to try using one. I have no frame of reference to compare but for $17 dollars this thing is well made. The only thing about it that had me raise an eyebrow is the rubber feet. But, as I mentioned I've never used one so I can't comment if the rubber feet are good or bad. Time will tell but for $17 bucks who cares. I will be purchasing another one but one that pans and pivots.
Good enough.
February 12, 2016
This is a good deal for the price. Feels solid enough for bench work. I'm happy with the purchase and will probably buy another shortly. If you are a tier 1 operator that needs it for operating, add a zero to the price range you are looking at now and move along.
One semi-helpful item to note..the extensions spring outward rather than extended legs springing inward if that makes any sense. My high end bipod works the opposite. I don't have a preference one way or the other but just wanted to mention it.
This mounted nice and snug to the sling mount of a Remington
November 18, 2015
This mounted nice and snug to the sling mount of a Remington .2432. Not much instruction as to how, except it says there are youtube videos instructions. I figured it out eventually without pulling up any instructions. It seems as nice as all the others I have seen. I liked the price of this item. I like how it is firm and the legs feel firm either folded up or down. It reminds me of the Star Wars armored transport walking machines???
I like it, I like it alot.

Great bipod
August 29, 2017
Nice-looking bipod seems extremely sturdy so far would purchase in the future will update once I get to the range.
They are a great budget bipod
July 28, 2017
I bought two of these for two .22LRs. They are a great budget bipod. And yes this is coming from a guy that owns and uses Harris and Atlas...
This bipod is well built.
April 1, 2017
This bipod is well built and priced right. It was more than I was expecting. I love mine.
I have the 13-23 inch and it works great for predator hunting
March 15, 2016
I have the 13-23 inch and it works great for predator hunting, I like to sit because of tall grasses and this gives me the perfect height. Also like the tilting head, it helps on un-level ground.
Good product, really enjoy it.
February 1, 2016
I'll preface this with stating that this is my first and only bipod. I mounted this up to my savage axis XP II, and used it shooting a 6" plate at over 100 yards. It allowed for all of the mobility and adjustment to get sighted in, but rigidity and stability to get the shots off. Very happy with this.
and of course uninstalls just as easily for Deer hunting in the field
September 2, 2014
I'm an old tool & die maker newly into gunsmithing and just finished my first rifle build. A Ruger Mini 30 with polymer stock, lighted reticle scope, and when I was assembling the picatinny rails on the forestock I added a sling lug. When the bi-pod came in it had no instructions with it, but I noticed this curious pin clamp mechanism and I thought "it can't be that simple". But it was, in less than thirty seconds it was installed, and of course uninstalls just as easily for Deer hunting in the field. Very well made and as good as any Harris bi-pod I've used in the past. Excellent price as well, and of course with Amazon delivery was very timely. As a matter of fact, I finished the build the night before, and the bi-pod was in the mailbox the next day.

Great deal for the price. I haven't used the bipod yet, but it fits well on my rifle.

Works great. Really stable. My fault that I didn't notice you need a pic rail adapter.
Pretty good deal
September 13, 2016
Not bad for price not something I'd want to be rough with its not heavy duty but will definitely get the job done hope to take it out and test it very soon you would be looking to pay double for same quality at Walmart or other stores
Looks like a great product
January 3, 2016
Looks like a great product. However it didn't fit my husband's gun. Would be nice to know what it will work on and what it won't.
Arrived very quickly! Was a Christmas gift.
good
November 24, 2015
this bipod is about 3 inches shorter than my other 6"to 9" bipod but it works and looks great on my Ruger 10/22. would buy again from this dealer, came within the correct timeline. good transaction . reason for only 4 stars is because of the length of the bipod.it isn't as tall as i thought it should have been.I was asked if it had a place for puting a sling on it..yes it does .2nd pic shows that.

Good but ouch!
October 4, 2017
It'll fit the bill. One thing to consider though is that if you plan to sling carry over the shoulder and don't have a heavy jacket on, it DIGS into your shoulder, alot. I'm crafting up a leather buffer piece to try and alleviate some of the pokeyness. I'd imagine with just a t-shirt on you'd bleed out in short order.Update: There is another point that will serve as a sling mount point a bit further down. It is still not the most comfortable but it's better. Still going to craft up some form of additional padding. See second picture.
Have the Harris lawyers seen this?
March 21, 2016
I own this and a Harris bipod. The design is absolutely identical. The Harris uses higher quality hardware, that is the only difference. This one costs almost 1/3 the price though. I have no complaints with it. I'll give it 4 stars only because it is inferior quality to the Harris but not enough to discourage anyone from purchasing. Unless you really plan on abusing it.
Built tough
February 18, 2016
This bipod is tough. Putting it to the test on the .308 ruger american predator first thing Sat morning. Will do an update if needed. But it looks strong. Build like a haras. Obviously a little different. Only downfall. Why I didn'tt give it 5 so far. The pivot is a nob Not a lever. The lever is another 10 doll hairs. At 50 bucks with the lever included, May want to shop your options.
Great Casual Shooting Bipod!
April 19, 2015
I put this on my Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308 for casual target shooting at the range and occasional hunting. It is well made, and it has held up to the kick of the .308. I like having the ability to connect my sling to the bottom of this bipod, and installation is a breeze: Simply loosen the thumb screw, match up the connector with the sling stud on your rifle, and tighten the thumb screw. After several outings, I can confidently recommend this to casual range shooters and hunters out to 100 yards or so. Beyond that, you'll be better served by a more permanent mounting option. If you found my review helpful, please feel free to indicate it below. Thanks! :)
Has a good adjustable swivel
March 13, 2015
Well built ,inexpenstive. Has a good adjustable swivel, Clips onto the mounted front sling nut, with an adjustment for how tight you may want it. All alumimum legs, with a spring load that pops them out.Very easy to detach from rifle.I use on small cal, varmit rifles. Paint gets scratched off easily..No big deal. Has adjustable spring tention for pulling legs down & up to engauge Bipod.
Great price for the features
July 8, 2013
I purchased this bipod to go on a custom laminate stock. I looks great and has all of the features you would expect. I was however a little disappointed with the following two things: 1) The clamping mechanism to attach the device to a swivel should have an indent to properly seat the tightening screw. Instead the screw moves allot and I fear over constant use that it will loosen. 2) The lever that can be purchased as an option for adjustment really shouldn't be an option. It should be included as the thumb wheel has so much tension that it is useless to try and maneuver with your fingers. I am still going to give this product four stars because it arrived fast and does exactly what was advertised with a very simple installation.

Having never used a bipod, I hoped for instructions ...
April 30, 2017
Having never used a bipod, I hoped for instructions on installation and use, but there weren't any. Being somewhat mechanically inclined, I was able to figure it out. For the price and considering the bipod went on an old rifle, this bipod seems to fit my need.
Good Enough for a 22.
November 22, 2016
This works great on my son's 10/22. It would probably fall apart if used on anything bigger and out in the field.

It's not a Harris...
September 16, 2017
Defiantly not the same quality as Harris. I have a Harris as well as some other brands. This will do the job but you can tell the materials are cheaper. The finish is not parkerized but painted, the feet are definitely a cheaper harder rubber and the springs do not have near the same tension. I put a KMW pod lock on it that works well and just the same as the Harris. It's just going on a 22LR so it will work fine but if it was for a serious field application pony up for the Harris.
Works very well and I like that it functions exactly like that Harris style bipods
September 1, 2017
Works very well and I like that it functions exactly like that Harris style bipods. The only issues I've had is from the pads on the mount that protects the rifle from marring keeps coming off and siding while mounted, and the screw that tightens the bipod to your sling stud away comes loose and requires re tightening all the time. Beyond that the product works very well but could be better if those issues were fixed.
I would be happier if the legs had more precise height adjusting
June 15, 2017
I would be happier if the legs had more precise height adjusting. As it is it's coarse and you figure how to get the cross hairs on the bulls eye. I ended up ordering the Atlas both front and rear....will write on that when I get it....No panning on this one.:-(
Compared to the Harris which is how they are marketed they look like cheep knock offs
February 17, 2015
These are decent bipeds. They are not quick to put on and take off. Compared to the Harris which is how they are marketed they look like cheep knock offs. They are not made with quality parts. If you put it on your gun and plan not to take it off these are for you and will work well for half the price. If you plan to put these to some major use just buy the Harris.
Buy the non-pivot model
April 2, 2014
The pivot feature is pretty loose even when tightened down. When shooting out to 200yds it makes my groups get a lot bigger than if i was shooting from a bag. I like the other Caldwell bipod that does not pivot more. You can adjust the legs to get it level and then you don't have to worry about it wiggling on you. Also I like the Champion bipod without the leg notches better too. I also have a Harris bipod that I like as well, but for the money I think these are just about as good.
great bipod with one con so far.
September 18, 2013
i have this bi-pod on my Remington 700 SPS 7 mm rifle. i love the versatility it gives you. i also have a 6 to 13 inch and the only time you can use it, is if you are laying down and shooting at something that's level with you. if its up on a hill, you just cant get the angle.what i don't like about this, is that the spring release buttons to let the legs extend, are on the inside of the legs resting against the stock of my gun. this both scratches the stock, and also engages the spring, releasing the legs while you are walking etc.

Is not what it described. It did not come with a rail adapter, and feels very light duty.
Perfect for my marlin 795
September 13, 2016
*update* first trip out it didnt stay on:( Mounted on a 22lr and it wouldnt stay put:( Cant recommend this product.

Installed with difficulty, but got it done. The lack of instrictions isnt a problem, as it was easy to figure out how it needed to be done. I bet others would not be pleased though with the "watch youtube" instructions. At least give a video title or something for people to find it easier. The bipod seems super crappy until you mount it, then it locks up solid with no play. My only concern is the legs that extend out feel like plastic which raises durability concerns. Mine is mounted on a Marlin 795, so recoil is not a concern of mine. Overall nice bipod that fit on the existing mount.

Poor quality for something with Caldwell name on it.
September 15, 2017
Was surprised considering this was made by Caldwell how flimsy it was when the legs were extended.Had purchased with plans to take it on my next hunting trip but with the legs fully extended not much better than just shooting freehand.
not as good as other bipod I

Terrible piece of equipment
January 16, 2016
Seems pretty cheap. The parts that are made of metal are all stamped out and easily bend and break. Bad design, clamping screw won't set properly, so no matter how tight you get the screw, it falls off my 30-06 within 2 shots. I'm guessing I will end up using this as target practice in the near future.
Less satisfied then i hoped for.
October 13, 2015
I read most of the reviews before I purchased this bipod. I'm not as happy with it as I was hoping to be. The bipod is loose and doesn't compliment the AR platform at all. I'm sure it works great on a bolt rifle.
Not well made
December 17, 2013
GOOD: This bipod looks cool, that's why I bought it. It is made pretty solid and the springs are tight. BAD: The clamp screw is cheap, the bipod arms don't extend easily and no matter what I did I could not get it to tighten on my rifle. I read a review where someone had to unscrew their sling stud to get the bipod to work. I think that would have solved my problem too except I am not willing to weaken the overall set up for a cheap bipod. Lesson learned. Amazon returned it no problem.

I really liked this bipod
December 7, 2015
I really liked this bipod. But the issue Is with the screw that holds the bipod on the rifle. When I loaded up on the bipod I felt it strip out. I have since tried to fix it with no better results.. great bipod if they used a high quality screw. Guess I'll go get a Blackhawk bipod.

Trust the recent reviews! DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!
March 13, 2017
Absolute Chinese metal garbage. Bent mounting to the rifle with finger tightness. I purchased this due to a recent review by a big-name Youtuber, and needless to say something is going on here behind the scenes because I don't see how ANYONE could think is a quality product let alone compare it to a Harris model. This is maybe the biggest piece of garbage I have ever seen produced for a firearm. Buy the Harris if you want this style bipod.
Quality not Great
March 13, 2017
The mechanism on this bipod doesn't 'grab' snugly, allowing the bipod to pop off as you tighten. It falls off, and after a phone call and time spent troubleshooting with the seller/manufacturer, it looks now like the return window has closed. Am I stuck with this thing?
Don't waste your money
February 26, 2017
Looked good when i recieved it, but it won't stay on my AR-15. Always falls off when it's attached. Came with official Caldwell package so I confused.
I know it isn't a Harris but I was still disappointed in the quality
February 16, 2017
First time out with it and had the bipod attached to the rifle with a sling attached to the bipod and the bipod ended up coming off the rifle and the barrel fell right into the mud. I know it isn't a Harris but I was still disappointed in the quality. Due to these reasons I am returning it.

September 10, 2016
What a piece of crap. It doesn't hold onto the swivel stud because the base plate opening is too wide to compress the assembly that gets compressed onto the swivel stud. This item was a gift and is now, unfortunately, just outside the return window. Other wise I would return it. Looks like I'm stuck with this piece of junk
Very poor functioning:(
November 18, 2015
Needed another bipod for a new rifle. Figured I would try this one out because it looks great! Sadly, the functionality is very poor. Has very weak springs where you end up having to pull the legs out and the lower section won't retract without holding the button and pressing them in by hand. My shooters ridge is much cheaper and wayyyyyy better:(
