Excellent value
May 12, 2017
Good packaging and shipping. Very durable and well built bipod. Locks into position well and mounts on all my weapons using adapters when needed. Overall excellent product especially compared with so-called high end bipods at big box retailers. Would definitely recommend for anyone seeking a quality bipod not intended for snipercraft.
Nice Bi-Pod
March 30, 2017
Excellent budget bi-pod. Attached easily to my sling swivel, has some adjustment and is rock steady once tightened down. I have it mounted on a .22LR and it works well for working on accuracy at the range. It feels well built, features metal parts instead of plastic and should last quite awhile as a result.
Awesome little bipod perfect for any rifle!
December 6, 2015
Awesome For the price.. My son has a 22lr Stevens rifle its the same as most 22lr rifles it is not a childs rifle.. It fits really nice right onto the front strap connector.. It goes on by hand almost not needing a screwdriver or pliers its really cool because its not just the bipod it basically also comes with a universal mount for the front of the gun so if you wanted to attach something else to the front of the guy you could also.. look at the pictures below to see how it looks. My sons rifle with the scope already was tight in the case so it was nice that the bipod attaches with a large hand tighten nut so it comes right off and stores in his case with no problem.. Do not pass this up even if you do not have one yet youll need it some time down the road
nice and short, lightweight bi-pod, perfect for prone shooting. legs adjustable for LEVELING on uneven terrain. Photo's added
September 19, 2015
I have this bi-pod on three of my rifles. Two are AR platform and one is a Mosin with the Archangel. I use it for target shooting, prone out in the fields from 100-600 yards. There is a bout a 1/32" of wobble in the folding joints, not a big deal, but for precision shots I do have to apply some slight forward pressure. I like these bi-pods because they are short and make prone shooting more comfortable than the longer ones. I do have higher end bi-pods (Vanguard Equalizer Pro 2 and a Caldwell 6-9), I can't stand them, although of high quality materials, the Vanguard is way too tall(see pic below, literally have to climb on top of the rifle to keep the muzzle flip in check) and makes for very uncomfortable position and the Caldwell pivots too easily for target shooting. I am sure they are both great for their intended purposes as hunting bipods, but not for prone target shooting. I like these because the pivot is easily locked down with an allen key, you can have it swivel on an rubber O-ring if you choose, I just remove the O and crank the allen down so it's immovable., a pretty stable almost fixed system and short. The feet are only adjustable to level your firearm to the terrain, not adjustable for changing the height, I think a lot of people don't understand that. I like that they are twist adjustable so you can easily reach up with one hand and twist the leg-lock, level the rifle and twist it back locked without having to get up. I guess I can understand the complaints about the clearance of thirty round mags, but I have no need to use a 30 round mag when target shooting from prone and generally use a ten round since I am doing 5 shot groupings, but the 20 round mags also have plenty of clearance if you need the extra capacity. Cons are the slight wobble and the knurled knob to tighten onto rail(of course a nice flush allen would be ideal, but then it wouldn't be 1/5 the cost of the others), but neither of these take away from the fact that it's a very useful accessory for an amazing value. One I have owned for three years now and has at least 6k rounds under it, and still hold just fine. At times I wish there was some kind of IQ testing for product reviewers. If you cannot use a tape measure, don't understand that cheaper product will have looser tolerances or just plain don't know what you want in the first place, please don't rip a product that people make a living off of. Obviously UTG isn't hurting to make sales, but some of the negative review are just ridiculous, I believe one said "my room-mates laughed at me"........awwwww, that sucks, so go leave a bad review because your 20$ bi-pod didn't clear your 100round drum mag and your green/red laser/flashlight combo had to be moved back a slot. I understand a few of you had legitimate issues with the durability of the product, okay , that's fine and should be voiced. But the fact that it is short is exactly why some of us like this product and bought it in the first place. A very tall bi-pod can be very difficult to get a good grasp on the rifle without having to climb on top of it, not to mention your raising the bore axis so far above your body that it bounces like a pogo stick after every shot. Different heights for different reasons, if you didn't know that, then just return it without all the griping. Research a product before you buy it and save yourself(and the rest of us) the headache.
Another UTG product saving em money
June 27, 2014
I wish UTG would sponsor me.! I love the products they put out and the price can't be beat for something that actually is designed for a real gun. This particular bipod is awesome. The only downside that I could find is even at the highest setting it wouldn't allow me lay prone and shoot without my magazine still touching the ground, so I ordered the next size bigger for my AR and another .270 and put this one on my daughter savage 22lr. She is thrilled with it. It is tremendously stable and makes marksmanship a skill that my kids can practice and enjoy without having to use sandbags and or shooting sticks. Thanks Again UTG!!

Been using Harris bipods since the early 80's and this one is that same or maybe better quality.
Great fit and function.. but consider a swivel bipod
February 6, 2017
Great bipod, really like the way it adjusts and everything about it. However, if I could go back, I would get the one with a swivel feature. I gave this 5 stars because it is exactly what is advertised and does a great job for its intentions.... but my advice to anyone looking at bipods is to really sit down with their gun, in the setup they're looking to use it and then determine what length you want and if you need the swivel feature.
The Best Bi-Pod
December 17, 2016
Great bipod. If you are concerned about exact level, get the HBR. This one only adjusts in 1" increments.
It's a Harris, what can I say?
May 14, 2016
Generally with a Harris Bipod you can't go wrong. This was no exception. Installation on my Keystone/Revolution Extreme stock for 10/22 took seconds. It clipped to the sling stud easily. It tightened quickly and securely. It provides a nice firm rest. As I shoot mostly from the bench this bipod allows me to dispense with the bag rest. One less thing to carry which is good.
Best Bipod available- Buy it
April 15, 2016
I love this bipod. Made in USA, used by a military sniper, (ultimately, his review prompted me to buy these over all the other ones on Amazon) and super high quality construction. I've been shooting for 5 years, and while I'm not a professional, I know a good setup when I see one. Perfect for setting up beautiful shots without having a sandbag set up. The springs in each foot make for an affirmative "click" as the shoot the feet to the max setting. I've laid in the dirt shooting and loved this bipod so much, I got my dad one. Honestly, if you are going to be doing any shooting, get a bipod. Not any bipod, however. Spend the extra few bucks to get a quality made, sturdy product that will last as long as your gun. Highest recommendations for this quality product. As a longtime Amazon customer, I rely on reviews from the Amazon community when making buying decisions. That being said, I only believe in giving honest and unbiased reviews. If this review was helpful to you in any way please click below. Thanks for reading!

Good Value and Works Well.
June 28, 2017
Well made and works as described. It is a little short but works on a shooting bench with blocks. Very little wobble.
A solid bipod for the money.
July 18, 2016
A solid bipod for the money. Attached easily and locks up tight. My only gripe is the legs don't seem to be exactly the same, so my crosshairs are no longer precisely level. One of the legs also sticks a bit when you unlock it (the other springs out easily). Considering it's 1/5th the price of a Harris... it's still a solid buy.
Its a good.
January 18, 2016
Purchased for a new AR15 and the first time on range the pivot pin on one of the legs repeatedly slipped out causing the leg to fall off. It was frustrating having to pause every few rounds to check the pin and put it back in place. Got home, contacted amazon, and had a new bipod at the front door by late afternoon the same day.......c'mon man, the same day? So far so good on the pivot pin and 5 stars to Amazon customer service as usual! The bipod with the spring loaded feet make shooting long range on uneven surfaces (like a rock or log) so much more fun and comfortable, I love it. My bro in law has one on his 30-06 and it takes that recoil quite nicely as well!
Small But GOOD
December 29, 2013
I get the feeling UTG's SWAT/Combat Profile bipod was made for firearms that are not necessarily full-on assault. It seems like the kind of bipod one might use to shoot a long gun (such as my Ruger 10/22) at targets from atop a picnic table, or perhaps from a clump of earth when shooting small game at a distance. But it is all metal with rubber feet and the matte black finish looks good.If you don't attach the bipod to a Picatinny rail or a Weaver on your gun, it also comes with a metal mount kit that can be attached directly to your stock. You may have to drill a hole to secure the mount. Also, the bipod pivots from side to side. Nice.No directions came with the bipod. A schematic would've been helpful. Took me a few tries to figure out that the way to unfold/fold the legs is by grasping each leg with my four main fingers -- and toggling, with my thumb, each black knob downward toward the end of the leg. It's amazing what a 20-minute catnap will do to help a guy see things differently. My thanks to all my fellow shooters who answered my inquiries about that. Sure helpful.
Just what I needed
April 15, 2013
Strapped this little one onto my Hi-Point 995 TS Carbine and took her to the range for a day of calibrating my scope. She held firm either fore or away set and the adjustable legs, where as not as high as most expect or desire them to be were just perfect for what I needed them for. The metal is well made (no stray weld marks or anything I would expect to see for something of this price point), the weaver points adjustable and it takes up about 2 slots of space on a rail when extended (5-7 when collapsed)4.5 out of 5.0 Stars - I took some off for the legs not sitting the best when extended but this is minor compared to the value
Not as good as a Harris, but it works
November 12, 2012
It seems like in this price range you can either get a tall bipod or a short one, but not one that's largely adjustable. This one, obviously, is a short one, so keep in mind. Even though it is adjustable, the difference in height is only around an inch. It works well for target shooting off a bench, and also shooting prone from the ground. The feet are spring-loaded, but can also be locked in place by tightening the rings. The springs are not strong enough to support the weight of my rifle and scope very well, so I keep them locked all the time. The folding legs also lock in place very well, I never worry about them collapsing. The rubberized feet make the bipod stay in place during panning and moving, although the screw on the base of the bipod mount tends to come loose over time. Some loc-tite is probably need on several screws in the base, but the circular fastener that holds the entire mount on can be left alone. That fastener makes it a piece of cake to remove or reattach the bipod when I'm putting the gun away in a case, and it is not one of the fasteners that tends to come loose during use.Overall I'd give the bipod a 4 out of 5. The features all work, but are fairly weak. However, with everything adjusted properly it is a solid bipod. Just not nearly as nice as a Harris.

It's a harris
February 14, 2017
First off, spend the money and get a harris. The reason that most gun products are more expensive is because they really are better. This product is easy to use and light weight in my opinion. I took this out to do a quick zero on my ar. The only problem I had was with the tension screw which holds it tight to the rifle. It kept coming loose from the recoil. I have now put some locuts on it waiting to go back out and shoot out again. Overall great product.

Great product. I had some difficulty getting the right adapter (you do need and adapter) to mount it on an AR-15 fitted with Magpul MOE hand guard. The hand guard made it impossible to attach the bipod on the existing sling mount fixture

Not practical for field application in my opinion
September 11, 2014
Bought these for use on a rifle, however I found it to be too short for what I would consider practical for field application. I know it says "combat profile." however this unit is very short. I suppose if you were using it as a ledge rest it would work, however I found it overall to be impractical
Sweet little "Pod" but could be better......
July 5, 2012
I have held off reviewing this product until I was able to put it through it's paces so to speak. I recieved it fairly quickly, which is always good. Upon opening the package, there was a rather strong smell from the oil used to lubricate it. Sprayed it with some degreaser and let it sit. Done! I noticed when I "attempted" to install it on my ruger 10/22 intrafuse stock, it was a bit wobbly. Upon further inspection, it was just a hair too small to make full contact with the weaver/picatinny rail, even when fully tightened. I solved this by using some leftover door insulation on the mounting points of the bipod itself. Boom! No more movement, and is on quite sturdily now. When I took it to the range, it did it's job! Set's up and down quickly, doesn't move or wobble. I have a couple ruger BX-25 magazines and no clearance problems. I have put about 1000 rounds with it on and no defects. It does what it's supposed to do. Out of the box, it needs some mods, but for the price, cannot be beat. I recommend, but only for the mechanically inclined. If you want something out of the box ready, look elsewhere, but be prepared to pay more.
Not Bad For 20-odd Bucks
April 29, 2012
If you're mechanically proficient and creative.I mounted this little guy on my .22 bench rifle, using the included picatinny sling stud mounting rail. The rail mounted solidly to my stock. After attaching the bipod to the rail, I noticed it was a bit sloppy and could tilt left and right. I could not tighten the bottom Allen screw enough to prevent the wiggle. So I took it apart, removed the rubber o-ring and replaced it with a thick 1" washer. That worked great. For 1 outing. It got a little loose, I tried to tighten and the bolt stripped out the aluminum housing above it, which mounts to the rail on the gun. I was sunk. After a couple hours of design improvement modifications and a visit to the Hdw. store for nuts and bolts, this is now a very solid piece of equipment. But not after a lot of initial frustration.Like some of the other reviewers mentioned, I would not use this on my 5.56 NATO AR-15! Still using it on the .22 to this day, and even won my division in a long-range shoot last week. So it's not a bad deal for a fixer-upper.
Received Defective
July 11, 2011
By the way the clear plastic "display" box this stand arrived in and what looked like "re-attached" pieces of "Scotch" tape holding it closed, my initial thought was that this ONE had been previously returned- then Amazon re-sold it (to me). I can't fully blame Amazon because the initial "owner" probably discovered the same defect I found, but just returned it for credit or exchange and not as DEFECTIVE as it should have been. One of the legs was not catching on the detent slot made to hold it in place when open... so my weapon would lean that direction and potentially fall over on its side. Also, the joints where the adjustable legs connect to the swivel aren't machined with very close tollerances so the weapon is wobbly when you "try to" hold on your target... not a solid feeling.Instead of, or maybe I should say "before" returning the bipod, I decided to diagnose it to see if it was, indeed, fixable. I took a small file and enlarged the detent slot and got the leg to lock firmly (no... this isn't the reason the bipod is wobbly for any of you critical readers). In fact, the side I had to file out is a much tighter and proper fit, than the side I didn't touch. I took it out to the range a couple days later and it worked properly, except for the tollerable wobble its design gives.Having said all that, I'm giving this review to make any future purchasers aware of potential issues with this (UTG) item. I know I could have shelled out 3 or 4 times the amount for a better (Harris) bipod, but for my purposes, $20 was all I wanted to spend. This, so far, is the lowest rating I have given for any UTG item I've purchased (well, except for that leg holster). For my money and purpose, most of their products give me adequate value and utility for the buck.
NOT for high-caliber, otherwise not bad for the price
May 18, 2011
I originally bought this bi-pod for a 7.62x51mm NATO rifle, and was disappointed when the first shot caused the legs to collapse into their folded position. I tried re-locking them, but no good. It does ok on my .223 long-range pistol, but that one is equipped with a muzzle break, so perhaps it would be different if the pistol had just a flash-hider or a suppressor. It -MIGHT- work on an AR-15; I wouldn't know.Pros: it is relatively light, and in-expensive enough that if it doesn't work out, it is no great loss. Also, it is sturdy enough that although it collapsed under the punishing recoil of a .308 rifle, it doesn't seem to have been damaged by the experience.-Z

AR Builds don't forget the adapter
July 11, 2016
I purchased this bipod for an A 10 build. It works well. You have to buy an adapter for the keymod rail in order for it to fit. I used Impact weapons components "KeyMod Bipod MOUNT-N-SLOT". I paid $10 for it on there site.
good/solid, but had a problem
January 1, 2015
Got the bipod very pleased and solid, but one of the spring legs don't lock all the way when I press the button. Have to physically pull it till it locks/clicks in to the full 9" length and it agrvates me. I should be able to press the button and both legs should shoot out and go to full extension with no problems. Mabe I got a defective one but still not happy with that. Will be sending it back or selling this one to get a new one and "hopefully" won't have this same issue. 3 star's
Purchased for a .308
May 15, 2013
I'm not sure if this bipod isn't rated for a .308 or what, but I couldn't find anything anywhere as far as what caliber rating this bipod is for. It works great, except that the screw comes loose in under 20 rounds and I have to re-tighten it. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or this thing just can't handle .308.

Not so great for an AR w/30rd mag.
September 26, 2016
Too low of a profile for a Mil-Spec AR w/30 rd mag.Seriously if you're angled for a 100-300 yard shot your STANAG will be in the way.Well I guess the exception would be if you're aiming down a hill.
Make sure you get the 8.3"-12.7" one. 6" is to short for a bipod.
February 26, 2016
I thought I was purchasing the bipold that extended 8.3"-12.7" not one that ONLY EXTENDS ONLY A HALF INCH! (6.2"-6.7") So don't hate yourself, just buy the longer one. It will be worth it. I would be happy with the longer one that i'm sure. the over quality seems to be great and I like it. Good spings and action in the legs. JUST BUY THE LONGER ONE.
Dont do it.
July 30, 2015
I have had good experience with UTG products in the past. This is garbage. If you are an airsofter, buy this. If you shoot real guns, save your money and buy something else. The rubber pads on the "feet" are cheap and will crack and come off after a very short time. The legs are difficult to manipulate. When extended to maximum length and mounted on a Bushmaster AR-15, the 20rd magazine extends down farther than the legs of the bipod rendering it basically useless. I eventually bought a more expensive model from UTG and gave this to my cousin to use on his airsoft rifle.
Wobble baby wobble (FAIL)
March 30, 2014
While sufficient for making it easier to aim in the prone with your rifle, this thing is exceptionally wobbly in the joints where it folds, even once extended. Run-of the-mill bipods with tension springs on the side, even the cheap ones, are much more stable than this thing will ever be. If you hope to be doing something that requires any degree of precision, this bipod is not for you.For the money, I guarantee you can do better.
Nice But
December 14, 2012
First bipod I have ever bought. The product looked well constructed and I like the features, but one of the legs would not lock in the down position. Something was machined wrong but could not see it with the naked eye. Returned it, Amazon great about that and ordered another type made by UTC.
UTG Bipod Adjustable height LOL
July 17, 2012
It's a short Bipod, I have purchased many UTG products and this is not typical of UTG. It looks cool on the rifle but I would not count on it. No clue what makes this Bipod a "SWAT/ combat profile". The Bipod has about 1/2" of height adjustment and you need pliers to tighten the leg collars so they stay extended that extra 1/2". When I first saw the spring loaded movement I said cool, it might be good on an uneven surface but the weight of the rifle collapses the spring loaded extension. You actually have to be in the prone position in order to use the bipod. It is not good for use on a shooting bench unless you like bending at 90 degree angles to look through the sights since it is too low. After 30 rounds the legs loosened and fell off. I lost all the bits in the mud.If you want something non human to make you angry at the range or your looking for a 6" bipod to put on a rifle in a display case, then you should definitely buy this Bipod. I would return it but it's downrange somewhere now.

The description says that it can extend out to father than it actually can. Don't buy this if you want to shoot prone from a AR with a full size mag.
Very poor quality. Do they have QA?
December 20, 2015
Okay. I got it for a good price, and review looks fine. However, my bipod has problem to release one leg. I can easily do one, but feel very hard for another one. Thanks for Amazon's good customer support. I got a replacement quickly. All right. Another problem happens on new one. The locker to the expandable leg seems broken, so I cannot insert it back and lock. Actually, the problem may have happened after product is sealed inside the small box because I just realized why the top of box was open when I received it. It is because the leg has been expanded for a long time inside box!I have to return both of them, and am going to buy a better one at higher price (always).
What you pay for
February 19, 2014
Buy a different model. Barely to be trusted on a CO2 BB gun. UTG makes other models that are good clones of Harris models. This is not one. Barely any adjustment, fit and finish sub par. Functional if you don't know any better. Comes with adapter for rail and swivel mount.
crappy
November 18, 2012
not the worst bipod out there but certainly not the best, over all i think is pretty crappy for a few reasons, the legs are not long enough for an ar type magazine, the legs when locked into position will close with minimal force and the o-ring between the picatinny mount and the bipod itself will heat up after a magazine or so which will cause the bipod to shift positions pretty quickly, almost as if it was loose, bottom line is save you money and invest in something worth your while, LEASON LEARNED!!!!!
