WELL BUILT & BETTER THAN EXPECTED!!!
January 15, 2017
I originally bought this bipod so my kids could shoot an AR15 at the range and still be able to hit the target without the weight/recoil of it being a problem after a few shots. This bipod worked out much better than I expected. I put the included attachment on their 22 so my wife & I are able to switch it between both rifles quickly & easily. It not only keeps it fun for the kids but our time at the range has increased due to the fatigue of holding a rifle isn't a factor. It has given both of us more personal range time with the pistols while one works on the rifles with the kids. The bipod is well built & very solid. Quickly switches between rifles & adjustments are super easy to accommodate any age/size shooter I will be buying 2 more for my household & a few more as gifts for family members.
Good quality for price
September 30, 2016
Hands down for the money, the best bipod out there for price. Easily competes with my friends harris bipod which costs double.. the quality is very sturdy on picanny rails (not as great on swivel mount imho) has notches for the legs that are sturdy... i would easily hunt with this bipod
Solid & increased fun
August 25, 2016
Solid product & increased fun! I put this on my rifle and I can now sit at the range using this to support the rifle on the bench as designed and nail the targets with very tight groups. Adds a fair amount of weight to the end of the gun but with the quick release it can swiftly be removed without much fuss. Other reviewers commented how it can work itself loose however I've not experienced this and it may just be they need to tweak the adjustment screw a bit. With these cam style release levers there is a too tight and a too loose, I've worked with them for years and it's important to have it adjusted right to work right. I foresee many years of use, buy it and have fun!
Excellent value. Easy to install on most rifles. Five stars!
May 31, 2016
I attached this to a Mossberg MVP rifle in 556/223 and it performed well. While I like the QUICK DETACH level mount (makes it easier to transport rifle if there isn't enough room in the rifle case for bipod to be attached), it is a little loose. Doesn't affect accuracy from 100-600 yards. Just feels a little loose. Being my first bipod, not sure if its a common characteristic for a bipod with a QD lever. Nevertheless, its helped my accuracy, hasn't taken away from my accuracy (this is for bench shooting at the range) and it is an excellent value. Five stars!UPDATE: Bought the same bipod for my Remington 700 CDL in 270. After 60 rounds at the shooting range, this bipod passed the test with a high caliber rifle. Sniper Snobs will pay 4-5x the money for the Harris name. I had a Harris - they're good bipods but not at 4x the cost.
Quality Product
December 17, 2015
Appears to be a quality product. I haven't had any hands on with the previous/earlier model but I'm glad I spent the extra for this more recent and improved version. Good resistance, sturdy construction, quick release latch, and I like the notches on the legs when you telescope out. I highly recommend the taller one ( 7-12ish). Because the highest of the low is the lowest of the high. Anything lower than that seems redundant. At that point you can use a prop.

So I decided to roll the dice here and save some cash. I couldn't be happier! Save the money this is such a solid bipod. Easy install solid frame shot great! I have it on my ar10 and it is solid! I'll post a pic here for you guys. We all know you get what you pay for in this shooting world, and I have found that to be true! This is a great buy I would highly recommend this bipod to you. Feel free to shoot me questions if you like.

Great
July 13, 2016
I decided to put this on my 20" AR-15 after moving my slightly larger bipod to my .308. I guess I didn't understand how the legs worked when I ordered and found that they spring out, not back in. I was disappointed at first, but now, after using it for a while, the quicker deploy is a lot nicer than the quick retract. I'll probably pick up another one of these for my .22

better quality and lock up than say a blackhawk but not quite as nicely finished and as bad ass as a natlas, i would put them just a tad below a harris but not by much, for the money and the quality these provide I'll probably use these as a go to on anything that's not a super expensive rifle/setup.i ordered this one and the Vokul , there was very little difference between the two, i do need to say that i am much happier with these two choices than the ones offered in this price range in the past, and i make no qualms about comparing it to a harris for the money.i'll be a return customer for sure.

Nice bipod, great value
November 3, 2015
I purchased this bipod and mounted it to my Savage 11/111 Trophy Hunter XP. It seems to be a pretty standard bipod, I ordered it unsure of whether to get this one of a longer one. I figured I would put it on my Ruger 10/22 if I felt it was too small to use for hunting. I've taken it to the range and out hunting a couple of times, and I'm happy with the length. It has adjustable legs that you can use to level the rifle on an unlevel surface. The bipod adds a nice look to the rifle, and when folded is nice and compact. It has an attachment claw that I used to attach a sling. I found that when wearing the sling with the barrel of the gun facing up, that the bipod didn't dig into my shoulder, which I found happened when wearing a friends gun and his bipod made by another manufacturer.I would buy this again. Great value.
Great Value, Well Pleased

I went to range today to try out my new Ruger Rimfire American with the Ohuhu on it. It works just great. I do realize that there is a lot of difference from a .22 cal. to a centerfire rifle and I have only used it once on a rimfire, but here is what we found. I shoot about once a week with three old friends that I went to school with. When I told them what it cost they could not believe the great price. One of my friends had a Harris Bipod with him and we began to compare. They are almost idenical. The gauge on all of the metal parts looked to be the same. I have included picture comparisons. Sorry for poor quality Iphone pics. So far am well pleased. Will see how it goes and report later with up dates. By the way the Harris Bipod is over $70.
Packaged well and It came super fast!!
March 23, 2015
This bipod is awesome!! Springs are nice and tight, it mounts very secure and it made my 30-06 look amazing!! No instructions needed! I will buy one of these for every rifle I have, I don't know if it will be tall enough but in the prone position it's very ideal.

Very stable and a good value
June 14, 2016
I have one of these on my AR and liked it so I bought another for the AR I built for my wife. The second one was a lot stiffer to fold the legs. So much so that you will hurt yourself folding them if you aren't careful. Another issue was the excessive amount of thread locker used on the set screw that locks the pivot. I nearly stripped the allen end before I resorted to using a propane torch to heat it up. Once I got it out I say they used red thread locker (high strength), instead of blue (medium strength). I cleaned off the red stuff and put on some blue, now it holds yet CAN be loosened if needed without using a torch. Very stable bipod and will buy this again should I find the need for another bipod.
Not bad for the price!
March 1, 2016
Pretty good deal! Compared to Harris and Atlas bipods, this is a pretty good deal. I needed a bipod I could mount on a rifle but would not reside there all the time, and would just be needed here and there. This fit the bill perfectly for the price.Appears to be well made, does not feel cheap or flimsy at all.Springs are nice and tight, does not flop around. The "panning" feature is really nice - with the bipod mounted (picatinny mount) you have maybe 20-30 degrees of movement rotation left to right.Legs auto retract at the press of a button, very smooth.Only downsides (and reason for a star loss) are these: - Legs do not auto deploy, you have to loosen the knob on the front of each leg and pull the leg to the distance you want. The legs have clicks on them so you know where you are though. - On the picatinny QD mount, the screw that tightens up the mount to your rail comes loose slowly over time, so your bipod will feel loose after you mount and take it off a bunch of times. - The knob up front on each leg that you use to lock and unlock the legs to pull them out, it will loosen up as you are shooting or moving the bipod around. If it loosens up, you could accidentally extend the legs.
I really wanted to like this bipod but it is not up to expectations.
August 20, 2015
My first bipod purchase was this Tactical OP-2 from UTG TL-BP88Q. I read a ton of reviews and they were all great.Recently I tried a friend's Harris and Cladwell bipods and it really highlighted some of the shortcomings of my UTG bipod. The biggest frustration I have with it is the Quick Disconnect locking lever comes lose nonstop. It doesn't even hold tight enough for me to put the legs down from a folded position. I constantly reach back up and push it tight again. I shoot once, reach up and push it tight. I shoot again, then reach up and push it tight. This happens when I use it with the UTG Swivel Stud Conversion Kits. I purchased a few of these kits so I could use the same bipod on multiple rifles. It comes loose on all of them. Two more minor frustrations I have are that the advertising states the bipod pans/swivels. And surely it does not pan at all. It doesn't move even 1 degree. The last frustration I have with it is that it NEVER attaches to any rifle in a level manner. Meaning, no matter what rifle I use it on (tried using multiple Swivel Stud Conversion Kits) it always makes the rifle unlevel. I need to extend the right leg of the bipod out about an inch to level up my scope crosshairs. (Maybe this is from the faulty Quick Disconnect lever system also?)I wish it panned like the marketing states and I wish it attached to rifles in a level manner. But I can live with both of those. But I would LOVE it if the QD lever would stay tight. I have emailed UTG's support and will update when I hear back. If they make good on this bipod I will update my review.I'm a Michigan resident and have purchased many things from this Michigan based company, Leapers/UTG. I purposely try to support local businesses. But if this isn't somehow made right, I doubt I will be buying anything from them in the future.Update: Working with UTG's Customer Support was very easy. They were super helpful. Their responses were always timely and included the details I needed. I will buy more UTG/Leapers equipment. I sent this bipod into them and they fixed the QD frustrations I had. For that reason I raised it up to 4 Stars. However it does still have some minor shortcomings and does not deserve a 5 Star review. A decent product for the price. But honestly I still never use it since I've purchased a Harris bipod. I'm keeping the UTG bipod around in case I see a use for it someday. This product gets 3 Stars. UTG's Customer Support gets 5 Stars. So overall I gave it 4 Stars.
Works Great (after you break the leg springs) and perfect height for an AR
June 29, 2015
So this thing really is a Great bi-pod for the price ... great leg retention and when legs are deployed they feel solid and tight .. feet extend to perfect heights and nice foot pads that grip the surface well ... though after a while the spring in one leg busted so when you press the button it does not retract anymore. BUT I like that better ... I like being able to just press the button and let then leg freely drop out of the bi-pod ... but then if I want shorter I can press the button and it doesn't suck it back, it just frees up the leg and and I can adjust each leg SO much easier while the AR is on the bench with the springs in the legs broken. So after the first one broke I realized how much better this functioned and pressed the button on the other leg and just spun the leg till the spring snapped on that leg as well. WORKS GREAT NOW with it broken believe it or not!
Very solid
October 6, 2014
If I paid $100 for this I'd give it only 3 stars, but for being 1/3 rd the cost it's definitely a 4.Pros: Very solid and attaches to my picatinny flawlessly.Cons: The leg release mechanism is not so well engineered.*Tip: If a leg release latch doesn't fully deploy the leg, gently, turn the leg clockwise (or counter clockwise) while extending and retracting it until the catch/release mechanism works fluidly.
great bargain harris substitute.
July 19, 2014
Haven't got out to the range yet but playing with it at home it seems great. Not sure how I feel yet about the fact that you pull the legs out, then push the button to auto retract them. I think I'd prefer it to be the other way around like the Harris equivalent. Not enough to pay double the price though. The integral QD mount is nice and once adjusted is good to go. Not high enough quality for scopes but more than sufficient for a bipod. I configured a Harris with swivel and a QD mount and it came to like $150, this is a bargain for 1/3 of the price.I own the utg bipod without the springs, the $25 one, and found that it was too unstable for use with my AR. This one is much more solid feeling and feels like it will hold up to recoil better. The other one is now dedicated for my 22 rifle, and is fine for that.I'm 6'2" and prefer the higher bipods. Even at a bench at the range, 6" is too short. Plus, with an AR this allows the 30 rd mag to clear the table. If you are actually using your bipod as a sniper, swat team, law enforcement, hunter, etc. then you can probably justify the cost of a Harris. If you are like me and just want something stable to use at the range occasionally and maybe use for some varmint hunting here and there, this is the bipod for you.

Good product at an Unbelievable Price
March 1, 2017
I put this on a laminate stocked Ruger 10/22. Upon tightening the thumb-wheel locking bolt it became stripped (using my fingers only). I ended up using 2 black square drive screws to mount the unit onto the stock. Regardless of the weak locking threads I will be purchasing more of these-- it is too easy to drill 2 centered holes and secure the bi-pod from any movement. The deployment springs are about perfect and the unit pushes forward correctly when deployed. The feet securly gripped the concrete and the wooden bench with no movement. The leg adjustment notches feel solid.
Nice product - adjusts and folds easily.
October 12, 2016
Unique design that attaches the bipod to the swivel stud. Bipod adjusts easily and quickly and folds up well. I put this on a 300 Winchester Magnum and I noticed that the attachment to the swivel stud loosened with the recoil (pretty substantial). I have since put a muzzle brake on the rifle - I'll see if that fixes the loosening issue. With a rifle with less recoil I don't think there would be any issue.
still maintain good shooting form with both hands
October 6, 2016
This is a very affordable collapsible bipod for a rifle. I have a Savage Axis II and purchased this to allow my son to be able to shoot when we go to the range. He is 11 and doesn't quite have the strength or the reach to hold the rifle up by with his forehand by the magazine. With this it allows him to shoot from the prone position, still maintain good shooting form with both hands, but assists in keeping the muzzle elevated. I also purchased this with the intent of assisting in zeroing my rifle. I don't have a sled, so this helps minimize some of my movements when shooting to allow me to get a better zero on the rifle. It mounts very easily to the front sling post and even includes an attached ring to mount the sling to. One major benefit of this bipod is that each leg is individually adjustable for height. So if you were on uneven terrain or on a slight slope, you could extend one of the legs slightly longer than the other to help keep the rifle level. The only downside to this would be that is makes it a little uncomfortable to sling the weapon when carrying as the bipod presses into the back of your shoulder when carrying. That is the only reason I deducted one star. Other than that I have found no other issues with the use or quality of this bipod.
Good first impression, but needs slight improvement.
October 6, 2016
Nice bipod. Works well on my ruger mini 14 in a hogue stock. My only issue is that the springs don't fully eject the legs to the maximum length right away so it's not very quick on deployment. I'll give it a try at my next 3 gun event.
so good. Liked it enough to order another one
August 27, 2016
So far, so good. Liked it enough to order another one. Obviously at this price point, you are not getting a Harris bipod in terms of quality. But, if you are willing to work with it, loctite it (if need be), and set it up properly--it ought to work fine.I use this on an armalite ar-10 and it is holding up great with about 100 rounds through it.I bought the 2nd one I got for a .556 rifle I'm building for a friend. So it ought to be more than Ok for the softer shooting 22 cartridge.Be aware that it will be difficult, if not imposible, to use this with a 30 round magazine.
great value
February 2, 2016
Very very nice for the price. Granted, I have not and would not take this into combat just because for peace of mind I'd want proven equipment but, I'm going out on a limb and assuming you probably won't need to either. For a range day, this fits the bill. Well-constructed, not all plasticky. Would purchase again.

It's just OK in my opinion. A great value but not up to a Harris. I always felt like I cheaped out buying this. It is a good value but I replaced it with a Harris and an A.R.M.S. quick disconnect. Gave the UTG to a friend and he likes it - he should, it was free!
amazing bipod but worthless swivel "adapter"
October 16, 2016
Bought it to use on my Winchester MP4 .177 model of an AR15 in which it states nothing about needing a stud on the firearm in which place a sling is used, I assumed it was a complete picatinny adapter so I wasted the extra money getting this stupid swivel adapter for this and can only use the bipod which is an amazing one at that but product needs better description such a disappointment

November 11, 2015
From a quality standpoint this item is awesome. Why it is getting 3 stars from me is because I intended to use it with a bolt action rifle and I was planning on using the adapter plate. But for me the plat never sat the way i wanted it to and when I would fold down the legs it would move and bend a bit which I did not care for. It would be perfect for mounting this to a Ar platform or something with a rail... Not so good for a bolt action.

Acceptable for range shooting, a little less stellar with field usage.
June 30, 2017
I made the mistake of purchasing this item without really looking into it. I bought it for a SCAR L, and didn't know until after I bought it that it required a shoulder sling mount to attach properly. Once I bought a sling mount for a rail system, I began using it. On the move, this bipod is adequate. I can't feel the extra weight, but it also isn't comfortable to hold onto when moving about. Deploying them is relatively simple, with only a bit of force needed to pull the legs back into the open or closed position. The legs have a button to extend the legs, but I don't really use it much. Since the bipod is stationary, it is difficult to turn the rifle from side to side when prone. Finally, the bipod to me seems like it loosens with usage It's not enough to come off, but its enough to notice. All that needs to be done is tighten the knob, but there should be some kind of system installed to prevent it from coming loose in the first place.

Cheap Mounting Screw, You Get What You Pay For
January 31, 2016
I had the same issue it seems others may have had with this bipod. I attempted to mount to a Ruger 10/22 with the existing swivel mount. The bipod would not tighten securely to the stock using the tightening screw. After one attempt, the screw became stripped and just spun around. The plastic finger knob spun around the screw as well. The bipod could never be securely attached.UPDATE: The company offered a refund without returning the item, however this was six weeks after Amazon already accepted the return. They then shipped a new one at no cost to me. The second one seems to working better, no mounting screw issues, however it does seem to loosen often.

Very first fit one of the bi-pod pins that attach to the swivel fell out. Reinstalled it with j.b. weld to hold the pin. Seems to be o.k. now, but it will go a 308. We'll see. Most of the pi-pod is heavy duty, but the rivets and pins are as cheap as you can get. Cheap China, but hopefully good for the price.

Before I could even use it, one leg was stuck in the in position. Just go for the Super Duty UTG models you won't regret it.

DO NOT BUY.Upon first glance this is a great product. Mounted well to a rail, and after some grinding the adapter fit well on a sling swivel stud. I liked the finish and appearance of it over all. When it came to actually using it though, horrible. The first time I deployed the legs the bolts holding the legs broke. These legs are under serious spring tension and could cause injury. The only reason it gets two stars is the fact that I received what I ordered and shipped on time.

This Bi-pod was amazing when I first got it, nothing more I could asked for. Than one day it rained, the internal springs rusted over and broke. Seriously? If someone went hunting or field shooting with this bi-pod in the rain it would probably break in less than a month. Why couldn't this company put in non-rustable springs or just cover the internal springs. It still works but it won't retract when I press the retract mechanism. I was expecting a high quality product but got something that made question why I bought this.

January 20, 2017
I don't like writing bad reviews but I got this thing and did not like it. Luckily Amazon messed up the shipping, so they refunded the purchase and let me keep the product once it arrived anyway. Thanks Amazon! But man I would be upset if I had ended up wasting my money on this. There are pretty much 2 reasons for it.1. This is the biggest reason I don't like it: The mechanism that tightens it to the stud/stock is difficult to attach, flimsy, and it tightens by screwing in a machine screw which goes against a flat metal plate so as you tighten it, the screw starts to go to the side which it definitely wasn't designed to do. It is also dependent on a tiny keyring which acts as a counter support to the screw tightening thing. I can't believe it uses a tiny key ring as a structural element. Basically it is really bad.2. The other thing that is annoying is when pulling the legs out, the buttons to release the legs are sensitive, so they just keep popping out when I barely touch the thing even when I don't want them to pop out.Sorry Ohuhu, you seem like a nice company but this product is not good.I ended up getting the UTG Tactical OP Bipod which is twice as much, but it is way better. I guess if you can't afford the extra $16 this will work, but I would think twice because this thing will probably end up breaking.

Worked for awhile didn't last weight and recoil damaged this product stud that pinches came off (recoil) also the padding is coming off. Great customer service, poor product. The replacement I was sent also broke in the same fashion, albeit after more uses. Read on to get the full story.First Review: Works great, has a little wiggle but feels sturdy. I have is in a small caliber not a full size keep that in mind.Update to First Review: Changed from 5 stars to 2 stars. After the third use one of the the points that insert into the swivel broke off. Only reason it stays at 2 stars not 1 is because otherwise it was functionally sound.Second Review: ***** Roughly two weeks ago I was contacted by Emma, a member of Ohuhu's customer service staff via my email stating that they were aware of my review of their product and wanted the opportunity to make things right. At no cost to me I was sent another identical model bipod. I took the bipod to the range and last week and deer hunting last weekend for opening day. This time it was on a .308 caliber rifle, meaning significantly more recoil, and to be honest at no point was I overly gentle with the bipod. It was free and I wanted to make sure if I was planning on increasing their rating that it would hold up to vigorous use. This time around it performed fantastically with no malfunctions. For the price it really is a great buy.I am bumping my review back up to 5 stars where it originally was and giving Ohuhu some serious props for outstanding customer service you don't see too often anymore.Second Review Update: Broke again, I appreciate and commend the great customer service but i will go elsewhere for a bipod from now on.

The quick disconnect is s***- you gotta keep tightening it with a screw driver to get it to stay tight. The rail has a notch in it so you can see the original sights bit it's off centered so you can't use that anyways. The whole scope sits to the right of center (of bore.) I emailed utg because I had some questions and they never got back to me. I'm going with a better quality side rail.

January 29, 2017
I went to mount this on my 10-22 with the Magpul Hunter X22 stock with the Magpul M-LOK bipod mount, and found out real fast that the pins do not line up, nor do they spread far enough apart to insert into the mount. The pins are off center by a couple CM and wont line up in the holes on the mount, even if I were to pry them apart (Risk breaking them). I guess you get what you pay for...**** UPDATE**** I have tried to update my review of this product and company and it will not seem to upload!Anyway, after I reviewed the bipod and was disappointed in its quality, I was pleasantly surprised with a credit that showed up on my CC. I didn't ask for one and didn't contact the company to return the bipod. They took it upon themselves to make it right with me...or at leas my wallet. I was impressed that a company would stand behind their product that well and fast even when not asked. I wasn't impressed with the bipod but the company was great to deal with. THANKS!!!
It functioned like it was made for an airsoft gun

Put it on my Thompson/center Compass .308. The screw that you use to tighten onto the rifle slips off the little "nipple" every time, not a solid system at all. Loosened and backed off after every two or three shots. Spring and one of the pins that connects to the swivel mount popped off when shooting and I still haven't found it. It functioned like it was made for an airsoft gun...Edit: Without me emailing the company or anyone at all, they read my review and shipped me a new bipod without even requesting a return. I haven't received the new one yet, but customer service seems to be extremely professional and going out of their way, I didn't even ask!
Failed under fire - avoid this bipod!
October 19, 2016
Failed while shooting! Dangerous! About twenty rounds into slow-firing .308 through a bolt-action Remington 783 this bipod failed and is no longer usable. The small points that insert through the rifle bipod (sling) mount point simply broke off. Check other reviews for this same product, there is another customer that also experienced the same failure. Perhaps this is a bad batch that Amazon received, as there are mostly positive reviews for this product? In any event, buyer beware!
