A Great TV for a Great price
March 29, 2016
Great product + awesome price.Shipping was fast and package came intact , its been almost 2 years since i bought this tv and never had a problem, i use it as a PC monitor so i have used it more than the people that use it to watch television , i rarely turn it off because i leave my pc on all the time so i can see what time is it and the date what means that i have it for almost 2 years but i have used it 3 times maybe 4 times more than a regular person cuz it stays on 24/7.The picture is good and the sound is ok everything work great i totally recommend it,
720 with the picture of a 1080.
October 25, 2014
I had a friend who told me to go with 1080, when he saw the picture he said "see isn't it nicer than a 720". When I told him it was a 720, he was amazed. I would recommend it to all my friends and family. A good friend of mine bought one after seeing mine. The perfect size for smaller rooms. The only improvement needed is a larger remote for people with fading eyes, other than that it is the perfect TV.

Bought for the price for gaming...
August 29, 2014
Well Amazon wouldn't take my first review and publish it even though I was praising their spot on customer service involving fast delivery to Alaska, the price guarantee that got $10 credited to my account, and the non-descript box it was shipped in so no one was aware I was receiving a TV.I use this TV to game with on my PS3 and the1080p graphics look great. That's solely why I bought it---for gaming. I use wireless headphones with my PS3 so I can't review the sound. However, I watch my PS3 apps such as HBO GO and the images look fanatastic. It's a great TV for a great price.
Easy setup, great sharp picture and I
August 22, 2014
Wanted a large LED HDTV to view movies that are streamed to my computer (Prime). Only assembly is the base with 8 screws. Plugged the VGA cable (not included) in, did some setup including setting the TV to VGA. I love the color, contrast, brightness and the size of the image. Very Sharp in HD mode. (use remote to set VGA and not the side buttons) For the price, size and what I am using it for (computer monitor),this TV does not disappoint.
Great product for the price!
December 13, 2013
Just got this delivered, easy setup with my little antenna, just attached the base and turned it on. Works perfectly- just the right size for our bedroom- sound is a little tinny as noted, but I adjusted it with a bit more bass, not a huge issue as far as we're concerned. picture is beautiful.... Excellent value for the price- for 66.00, I was expecting much less, happy customer!

Superb performance
July 24, 2016
We replaced a Sony 32" Bravia (720p) that cost over $ 700.00 six or seven years ago. This TV weighs maybe 15 lb. compared to the Sony which was 50 lb. or more. The Samsung has a better picture, built in WiFi, and reasonably good sound. The picture quality is excellent and the colors are vibrant and lifelike. In my experience Samsung makes excellent products which are durable as well. My only complaint is the stand (?) that is supplied. There are two silver colored plastic "feet" that screw into the bottom of the TV. They are designed so that they can only be mounted one way, and as a result they actually extend beyond the edges of the TV screen, causing you to need a very wide mounting platform (more than the 29" width of the TV). You would need a table top at least 32" wide to stand this TV on. We wall mounted ours, so that was not a problem, but be aware that you need a wide space to stand it on. Also, as light as the TV is, tipping or knocking it over could be a problem with big pets or little kids. The mounting feet give NO stability at all. Samsung should modify the stand to fit under the center of the TV and be larger to give the TV more stability and a smaller footprint on a table. The WiFi works very well, but the input thru the supplied remote is slow and tiresome. Be sure to Bookmark your favorite websites to cut down on the time required to input web addresses. Otherwise we are VERY happy with the TV and are glad we have it.
I love the size of this tv
March 2, 2016
Before I bought this tv, i did lots of research to see what would be the right tv for me and for the right price. I love the size of this tv, it allows me to watch with great quality. I also love the smart tv aspect of it, i am able to binge watch all of my netflix shows, and I can also downloads 'apps' like pandora and the game snake. i would highly recommend this tv for someone else
Good buy for our bedroom! Beautiful Picture!
December 27, 2015
Love it for the price. Stunningly crisp picture. Use for bedroom and even the sound is good for movies and gaming. My husband uses it for his PS4 but uses a cable as he says it doesn't lag for certain games. Note you can't use Apple TV with it or use Apple AirPlay. However it has Netflix, YouTube, HBO Go and Amazon in the app section plus others ...which for our bedroom is fine. I think it functions with the Android but read specs. No lag at all in streaming videos from any sites so far. You have to get used to the arrow pointer without a mouse but once you get the feel it isn't a problem. Since We are a primarily an apple family probably wouldn't use for main TV in media room but that is just a personal preference.
Smart TV is a GREAT Choice!
December 10, 2015
This was a great price and I'm very, very happy with my decision to purchase a smart TV. If you're on the fence, spend the extra dollars for the smart hub. You will not be sorry. The options to watch Amazon Prime TV shows and movies as I am a prime customer are wonderful and you also get Netflix and internet browser. I'm thrilled with my purchase!
The TV is supported just fine. Switching between cable/netfix/hulu/and internet is a breeze.
May 25, 2015
I bought this TV before there was any feedback and found the negative feedback before it was delivered. I must admit that, based on the prior feedback, I was concerned about the feet as I tried to assemble the TV. They seemed very flimsy, at first. However, it was not until I had fully screwed in the feet that I realized they were more than ample to support the television. In fact, the TV is quite secure. Yes, the feet are plastic, but the TV is very light and it does not require very much support at all. The picture is perfect. The sound quality is great. I am delighted with how easy it is to navigate between cable/netflix/hulu/internet. It was a great buy and I am very pleased.

Additionally, be smart and don't be influenced by reviews from people who are not "verified" purchasers of the product.

Great budget option.
September 16, 2015
I bought this TV for one reason; playing a xbox one system. We purchased an xbox one not knowing that you need a TV with HDMI input in order to play. Since we are on a budget and this will be used for gaming only we opted to go with this small size.Quality seems pretty good, glare and viewing angles don't seem too bad but when playing we are sitting directly in front of the unit and not off to the side. Color and brightness are great for the price, I am certainly not complaining.I gave four stars and not five for one reason. You cant adjust the angle that the screen sits at. When installed on the included base the television angles down slightly, while this might be fine if you had it up on a higher stand or if you were sitting on the floor we have this on a table sitting at eye level. Still this is not a deal breaker and after a minute you hardly notice.Lets be honest if you are looking for a quality TV for your living room you aren't looking at this TV, you are likely looking for something at least 32' BUT for a budget spare TV for the bedroom/kitchen/gaming ect this is a great buy.
Great TV for the price!
July 2, 2015
This is a pretty cool tv. I've bought three of them so far. One for my studio, one for an exercise room, and the last was a christmas present for my father. When I got the first one, I was really concerned that it'd be heavy. The previous tv I had in my studio weighed a ton, I needed help getting it up on it's wall-mount and I was terrified of touching it (with my bad luck, I was certain that it'd fall on me). When THAT one broke down, I needed help, yet again, in getting the thing off my wall. Seriously, the old tv was a beast. The Seiki, on the other hand... is a delight. It's light weight, and I didn't need help getting any of the three set up. That in itself is quite a feat, since I'm on the small side (barely 5ft tall, and 115lbs).
So far so good. bought this on sale for $169
December 4, 2014
So far so good. bought this on sale for $169.The main purpose for me is to hook up my security cameras and for that purpose its awesome. My only gripe with it is they stuck the sticker telling you how much it should cost to run it for a year directly on the screen, which when looking at the tv from an angle you can see a white haze on the lower right hand corner from where sticker was and it doesn't come off.If you are buying this for your main TV I would suggest spending slightly more on a better brand.Shipping was fast and product was well packed.
Nice for the price!
August 8, 2014
I bought this as a gift for my sister. She is not a videophile, nor does she have surround, so I just wanted a cheap alternative to get her a High Definition tv.I have to admit, this really looks good for what it is.I used a video set up disc I use on my system, and have to admit I was surprised. At this price point, the blacks are solid, had very little blur, and has most of the setup options of more expensive stes.If you can tune a tv at all, you will be happy with this HDTV.Makes a great bedroom set, or one for the kids.Or as a second tv in the theater for multi set viewing.
these are great
December 31, 2013
Although there ARE examples of cheaper production quality with these sets, all-in-all these aren't inexpensive because they are low quality. They're inexpensive because they from a company headquartered in China where things are relatively more inexpensive altogether, and are manufactured in California to avoid pricey shipping costs and import taxes. The screen is very nice and MUCH better quality than any other cheaper set, in fact it's just as good if not better than any mid-range product out there. They use the same electronics as Vizio (you should even be able to use your Vizio remote to control it if you like). The remote that comes with it works great, feels good, but looks cheap. Tiny trimmings like a plastic overlay on the back panels where you connect your input wires is missing leaving uncovered metal, but it makes no difference at all unless you have your set in the middle of the room rather than up against a wall because otherwise you'll never be looking at the back of your TV. The stands are hit and miss - mine is fine but some people have written reviews saying theirs was wobbly. One weird quirk this TV has is that in order to adjust the color, tint, and sharpness you have to press MENU, then 0000 (hit the Zero button four times). The regular menu doesn't let you change much - just brightness and contrast on a "User" picture mode or switch between factory presets like "movie", "sports", and the like. Hitting 0000 in the menu lets you play with the factory settings where you can adjust the other options.
Great affordable TV for Kids, Kitchen, Bath, RV (Extended Review)
December 13, 2013
Pros: Aesthetics, Picture, Input options, Price, Low power consumptionCons: Poor single speaker, cheap remote control. Marginal base. Conclusion: We would buy this product again, we would recommend this product to a friend or family member at the right price.Appearance/Application: Looks great in our kitchen (see uploaded images), you really could not ask for more on how it looks, for a cheap TV its fantastic. Paired this with a older Roku from the bedroom and we were up and running wireless in no time. All our home media streams to it along with Netflix etc. so we dont have to have a cable box or DVR in the kitchen. Compact package. Added a 5 year squaretrade warranty for this TV. $62 + taxes is a solid deal.Picture: 720p, Good contrast. Vibrant color. Good brightness. Light bleed from top and bottom evenly, appears to be edge lit screen. Other reviews bashing the viewing angle are being critical for this price point, we can see the screen fine from a wide angle. Picture was better than expected. Quick cycle of the picture options on the dedicated remote button yields improved picture over power saving default.Sound: The speaker does face out the bottom and its not a good experience. Cycling sound preset options on dedicated remote button yields instant improvements. Its better sound than my Toshiba 24" LED. Sound was about what I expected out of a cheap 20" TV. The headphone jack volume is controlled with the remote control (for those that want to add external speakers yet retain volume control via remote) We are adding some $30 Logitech Z200 Multimedia Speakers 2.0 speakers to this TV. (4.5 Stars)Connectivity: 1 HDMI / 1 Composite / VGA with 3.5mm computer audio in / RCA Audio in / Coaxial Audio in / Headphone Jack out(See uploaded images to see all input/output panels clearly)Remote: Looks and feels fairly cheap. Battery door jiggles a bit. Its more than adequate and is full featured. (See uploaded image)Packaging: Very well packaged and shipped, small box. Easy to give for a gift and wrap it. Assembly includes 4 screws in bottom of base to neck, and 3 screws from neck to TV main unit. Phillips screwdriver is all that is required.Base: is lacking some stability. Its just enough to get the job done but I do wish it was a bit more solid. For use in a kitchen for my application it will do fine. Anyone not using the base will find this to be a non issue. Its not flimsy, it just has some movement if you grab the bezel and try to move the TV, it shifts around a little bit.*Update regarding base problems* Manufacturers packaging error in screws led to poor loose fit of base and tilting.I received 3 small screws and 4 larger screws in error. We deemed the original TV too wobbly and returned it for exchange. Calling manufacturer help line on instructions and yielded no useful support. The replacement is better, containing 4 small screws and 3 longer ones in reverse of our first shipment. The base is much more solid than before, yet still leaves a bit to be desired.

Good TV For The Price
April 25, 2017
So far so good. I think its a great picture and TV for the price. My only two beefs with it are this. 1st the legs are plastic and feel like they could break at any moment when your moving it. 2nd when you first turn it on, you have to wait 2-4 minutes roughly for the internet connection. This is a small beef but still a little frustrating when I just want to turn it on and get it going, I guess am a little impatient.
Great tv, slow initial connection to wifi, but great tv
October 28, 2016
First the bad. The only reason this tv didn't get 5 stars was because of how long it takes to connect to the internet. If we want to watch Youtube, Netflix or Amazon prime we turn on the tv, go do something for 5 minutes then come back and its connected. I am not kidding, my 14400 modem could connect to the internet quicker. I have never seen a device take so long to connect to the internet.

The picture quality is great, no complaints with any type of movie. We love how clear and sharp it is.

I would recommend you get a tv that you can connect a blue tooth keyboard. IT would make this tv great!
Very good TV.
September 26, 2016
I really like this TV. Good picture and the built in sound is better than most but I still run in through my stereo system most of the time. The smart TV hub us a little clunky to navigate and slow but works. It did not have an app for Amazon Prime music so I also purchased an Amazon TV stick so I could get that. In getting the stick I use is most of the time as it is faster than the TV's "smart" hub. Over all I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it.
Great TV with excellent picture and perfect size for my side desk...
June 27, 2016
Great TV with excellent picture and perfect size for my side desk. Setup is easy and painless. Just plug in the Ethernet cable and follow the instructions onscreen. Has 2 HDMI and 1 Component inputs, which is more than enough for my Android TV box and cable box.

Smart TV function has plenty of apps, including Youtube, Nextflix, Hulu, Amazon Video Prime, and many other apps. As a matter of fact, I'm a bit surprised to see so many apps available, although I'm sure I will probably just use a few of the most popular ones, ever.

Remote control is not a traditionally big remote but rather petite in size. Plenty of options and it's rather intuitive. I have absolutely no problem with it and after popping in the included batteries, it worked right out of the box. The TV is very responsive with the remote, switch between Smart Hub and TV is very quick, almost no wait time. As a matter of fact, if you mistake Return with Exit key, you will be kicked out of Netflix back to TV mode instead of just one screen back. Takes a bit of getting used to but not out of this world difficult.

The only reason for this deduction is the 2 silver legs that came with the TV as "stand". These sorry excuse of a stand is made with plastic, not at all sturdy, but since the TV is extremely light, I guess it is just enough. I would prefer a bit more weight for stability, but then again Samsung decided to go in another direction, but it is my primary reason for giving it only 4 stars.

All in all I am satisfied with the TV. It is meant as a second screen for my array of screens and for that purpose, it is doing a superb job.

February 18, 2016
So far so good! I like the features of the TV and it was pretty decently priced for the size. Only small complaint is the sound isn't as loud as what my old TV was.....I'm sure you could solve that problem easily with a sound bar or speakers but for us, that isn't an option right now due to finances. Overall a great TV
BEWARE OF MISSING AUDIO OUTPUT JACKS
January 23, 2016
Being hearing impaired and using wireless earphones I was disappointed to find that
Samsung was too cheap to keep the RCA audio output jacks on this model. Now I have to buy separate speakers and a digital audio toslink cable and receiver to get my earphones working. The TV does not allow the internal speakers to work in conjunction with the digital audio output. I'ts either 1 or the other.Just a bit stupid as far as engineering goes. One thing is picture quality is great but I'll be sure next time to check the outout ports.

31 month life span
June 4, 2017
Purchased in Nov 2015 - worked well until today, 6-4-2017. I've been using it as a computer monitor and this morning it refused to come on when the computer comes up. RIPSomehow I expect a longer life span for electronics
Bad sound TV
September 1, 2015
I bought this TV to give me a larger picture. Our shelf in our bathroom has limited space and this TV increase my picture from 12" to 19". The picture is OK. Certainly not a great but adequate. This unit replaces a old 720 12" with speakers on either side. Picture is about equal to the old Phillips TV. Here is the rub. The sound is really tinny. I tried different setting and it improves very slightly. The OLD dog with front speakers are vastly better. So if sound is important to you don't get this baby. I also found another interesting item the TV came via Walmart not from the advertised seller. BIZARRE. TV took some time to get delivered and I assume it was the routing from seller to walmart to me.I will keep the TV but sound is a 2 rating and picture 4 so average is 3.
The picture and sound quality are great. However
January 22, 2015
The picture and sound quality are great. However, the tv does not have an built in Digital tuner. Therefore, if you do not have cable you need to purchase a digital tuner. Other than that the television is just as good as any other. The price was great. I really want to give it 3.75 out of 5 stars.
Initial Review/thoughts
November 12, 2014
This is an initial review of the Seiki SE24HE03 24-Inch 720p LED TV. Will try to update once I get my PC hooked up and make sure it works and how it works that way. I'm making the review kind of in-depth to try to help you decide if this is right for you.Bought for my bedroom to watch DVDs and use as a monitor for streaming movies and shows. The size is great for my smallish bedroom. Sound not so great but you can make some adjustments to make the sound better so it's definitely useable. It's lightweight which being disabled is also a good thing. Hopefully the light weight doesn't mean it'll die sooner?Yes, once you put the base on the TV does slightly tilt forward, just a little. The base "clicks" on and there's only 1 small screw holding it to the TV. But for me that's a good thing since I'll be watching laying in bed.Inputs: sparse, but it's a 24" TV. 1 HDMI, 1 component (R/W/Y), VGA with 3.5mm audio jack input for PC, "screw-in" antenna/coax and headphone jack - that one is at the top (really should be at the bottom imho). All inputs are on the left side of the TV. Having a swivel base would definitely have been a help or at least put the VGA/audio on the back for ease in getting the VGA hooked up.I did, as a test, use the VGA cord from my laptop to the TV and that worked, but laptop has displayport, not HDMI so could not test that. Waiting on getting my smallish desktop into the bedroom and trying to hook up via HDMI from my GPU to the TV. That'll be an update depending on how that works. Luckily, my GPU does have VGA as a just in case. The remote is also very lightweight. You must hold the remote directly facing the TV or it won't work. It's really! picky and finicky (don't like that). The buttons are small and not real easy to read. Then we get to the menu and there's a few things "greyed out" that either I'm not using or I just don't know why.Menu:Under Audio:SPDIF type - greyed out, but I'm not using that so I guess that's whyAudio Language - greyed outUnder Time:Daylight Savings - greyed outUnder Setup:Advanced Option - greyed outDoes have closed captioning and I had to guess which one to use and yes, I need closed captioning, so that's on CC1What DNC and Transparency are I have no idea. I left it on DNC. Transparency is off - because again, I don't know what that is and it's not explained in the manual. There is a sleep timer, I have that off but you can program it from 15 to 240 minutes if that's important to you.Picture Aspects:There's Zoom Standard (like having a smaller picture in a black "frame");Wide which is the mode that makes everything look "stretched out" and is letter box;Wide Zoom which is also letter box and again makes everything look "stretched out", just a bit bigger and the picture's a bit grainy (imho);and finally Zoom alone which gives you full screen but again that "stretching" thing. When using with my DVD player I use Zoom Standard. Yes it's a smaller picture but it's very clear and everyone and everything looks "normal". We'll see what hooking the PC and using that for streaming entails - another update on the Aspect settings. All in all it's ok, the price isn't bad - around the price of a lower end PC monitor but with more options. I certainly would not pay more for this TV and actually I think it should be a little less considering the greyed-out menu functions, lack of documentation on which closed captioning is best for which reg ion, what the heck Transparency is and the picture if you go out of Standard mode. It's kind of like watching a 20" to 22" TV with a "frame" around the picture.
as described

TV works fine. Thought it was a better deal than it was (open box deal). Amazon cut no slack when pricing it with shipping. Saw it brand new at a Box Store for less than I paid & it wasn't an (open box) or (sale price). Its used in a small extra bedroom & is fine for that purpose.
not pleased with the sound quality
January 12, 2014
I do not watch this TV. My wife LISTENS to this TV while she is using a treadmill every day for exercise. She LISTENS to channel 6069 on Dish Network for easy listening music. She says that the sound quality is on the "tinny" side, not nearly as good as the 15 year old 19" Motorola TV that we had in that room previously.

Not worth it, even for the price
June 26, 2017
I would not recommend buying this Samsung Smart TV. You come out so much better just buying a good quality flat screen and then purchasing an Amazon Fire TV or Fire Stick for your streaming. Samsung limits you to their app store which is minuscule compared to Amazon's. My TV also came pre-loaded with HBO Go but the app doesn't work. I contacted both HBO and Samsung and they blamed it on one another. I finally just hooked a Fire TV up to this Samsung so that I could stream anything my heart desired.
TV is OK. You'd be better off getting a Fire Stick than using the smarts of this TV
September 19, 2016
I very rarely post reviews, and rarely so soon after using a product (just used it for a few hours today) but I thought I'd at least make a note of my thoughts over time.

The set up was pretty smooth, and since I don't have an aerial I went straight to the smart apps. I was able to get Netflix up and running pretty promptly, although the Netflix app was fairly sluggish. I managed to watch an episode without a hitch. Picture quality is pretty good, but the text is not extremely sharp. As I say in the headline of the review though, the Smart TV experience was disappointing as I expected it to work a bit more smoothly than a Fire TV stick I bought a few years ago, which it doesn't.

I was very disappointed with the YouTube app though - it didn't work at all on the first boot. After I restarted the TV it worked, but I couldn't stream from my device, so this was disappointing.

More to follow, especially with my experience of using it as a monitor for my macbook pro
Slow to launch applications!
April 25, 2016
As with many other users, I have been experiencing a 'slow' TV. My allegiance to this brand stemmed from our recent purchase of a larger, albeit more expensive, model for our family room. The larger model works very well and has a very reasonable response time when powering on (~5 seconds to launch an app), but this smaller model seems VERY slow to process anything within the first 1-2 minutes of power up. Our intention when purchasing this TV was to place it in our children's playroom and use it's 'SmartHub' feature to connect to our favorite shows via Netflix, Hulu, etc. We do NOT have it hooked up to cable, satellite, or antenna. It's sole purpose is to connect to Wi-Fi! When starting the TV, the common static appears along with the channel. Once you attempt to select an app through the SmartHub, it states "Preparing TV. Please try again later". This message continues to occur regardless of the app selected for a time that is very unreasonable (over 1 minute). You have to sit there, staring at static... Because of our situation (no cable), I would consider this a poor purchase for anyone who wished to use it as we intended.
Great TV, Bad Smart Features
January 17, 2016
I have owned and used this TV for about a month now. The picture and sound quality are very good, and overall it is an attractive unit. It was easy to install (I wall-mounted it; it's very lightweight) and set up. Best of all it was an excellent value. I would rate the TV itself 5/5.

However, the SmartHub features are almost useless. It takes a long time for the SmartHub to open, and it was impossible to stream Netflix—the video buffered every few seconds, and never fully loaded. It was impossible to watch video. When I exited Netflix, the TV would become unresponsive to the remote and took a long time to turn off. After troubleshooting, it was obvious that the problem was with the TV and not Netflix or my internet service. This is a known problem with these units, and another reviewer on Amazon offered a solution—to disable the security feature on the TV, and auto updates for the apps. This allowed video to quickly load and play, but it had to be done every time before watching videos. My solution was to invest in a Google Chromecast, which I absolutely love. It works so much better than SmartHub, and I like to use my phone or tablet as the remote.

Between the excellent TV and horrible smart features, I would give this TV a 3/5. If you're willing to purchase Chromecast or a similar device, I recommend it, but if you want to use the smart features right out of the box, consider a different unit.
Not a bad TV.. Great for the price.
January 5, 2016
Overall I like it. I does have all the smart TV features I wanted. What I don't like though is something that seems almost unbelievable to me. You can't to a free text search in their app store. So you have to scroll around the categories to try and find an app. What's also frustrating, is the smart hub is not very intuitive. Picture is great.. the small-ish border is nice, sound is ok. It does have netflix, amazon prime, hbo go, hulu, youtube. I probably would have gotten an LG had I not heard about Samsung's interface being good. Which it's not great in my opinion.
Smart Security Feature Not So Smart, Cripples TV
December 28, 2015
I would have rated this TV 5 stars, however it took two hours to get the Netflix app to work without constantly freezing and locking up the TV's OS.

Symptoms we experienced: Launching Netflix and attempting to watch a show would cause the show to repeatedly buffer and get stuck at 99%. After this occurs, the TV's OS becomes incredibly sluggish and it becomes nearly unresponsive, forcing a full reboot of the TV.

Disabling "Smart Security" feature completely resolves this issue, and gets rid of the sluggishness and freezing experienced within the TV's OS. We also disabled auto-update as we saw this was recommended by other owners as a potential fix.

To disable Smart Security: Menu button on Remote> System > Smart Security > Off

Pros:
TV is incredibly light and thin.
Picture quality is great.
Once Smart Security is disabled, navigating the menu and apps are responsive and quick.
Easy to use.
Price

Cons:
TV is not ready to use "Out of the box".
Smart Security feature completely cripples the TV and makes it unusable with built-in default apps.

3/5 stars. 5/5 once the Smart Security feature is disabled.

Ended us not being a good deal at all
December 23, 2015
Bought it as a gift for my father on December 1, 2014. The TV totally stopped working December 22, 2015. Twenty one days after the 1 year warranty expired!!! Ended us not being a good deal at all. Very disappointing.
Absolute horribble audio...
October 3, 2015
You can not best the Price however you get what you pay for. This has a nice picture quality . THE SOUND IS HORRIBLE!!. I do not understand how a company can make a good picture , super inexpensive tv with such bad adio. It is very flat and ther is no bass AT ALL. Now that isn't the major problem, it's the fact that it is literally the same volume after you pass 10-12 on it may only get 1 times more load and I goes past 30. I believe it's 1-40or 50. I help my mother order this so I'm not sure of. It goes to 40 or 50 .i can day without a doubt the flat sound isn't worth the Price
The box it came in was in the worst possible condition
February 12, 2015
First off, I bought this because I needed a tv with a QAM tuner in it. It did not have one. Second, The box it came in was in the worst possible condition, however the tv was still unharmed. Lastly, the tv is fragile. do not pick it up from the top or you'll break it. Other than that, this tv is a good addition to your childs room or play area.
No customer service to speak of when the picture is bad
January 11, 2015
Bought this for my Mother for Christmas. She needed a larger TV than the 30" Sanyo she has. I am so disappointed. The picture is horrible, very blurry. I contacted customer support at the number in the manual and all they did was have me return to factory setting and set on dynamic picture. When the picture was still blurry the gentleman said they are only there to help with set up and I can return it to the store where I bought it. He wanted to blame it on the signal coming from the satellite box but the picture on the Sanyo was perfect. Of course I bought here on Amazon so now I have to go through packing it up and returning it!
Not a digital TV.
December 10, 2014
This is not a digital TV. Without a digital to analog converter box (not included), the TV will scan and find only about 1/3 of the available cable channels (at least in our case). Before I learned this - the original description made no mention of analog only - I tried calling customer support. Don't try to call on a weekend, even though they claim to have 24/7 customer support. The email link to customer support on their website "customerservices@seiki.com" bounced. I tried "customerservice@seiki.com" and that worked. The answer I received a day later is quoted verbatim here: We received your inquiry regarding the issue that you are having. Your cable provider may be using all digital channels. To view digital cable channels, the TV has to have a "QAM" tuner. Some of our newer model TVs do not include a QAM tuner. If your TV supports "QAM" (digital cable channels), you'll see an option for QAM in menu:-Go to main menu by pressing "Menu" button on remote-Select "Channel" menu option-In first option, signal type, look for "QAM" option (select "CABLE" if QAM is not available).-Choose "Auto Scan" to start scan*If asked by setup, please use code: 31415(Depending on your model TV, you may NOT be asked for activation code)If you don't get digital channels after scan, then a QAM cable converter box or digital adapter is needed from cable company or electronics store (Some cable carriers offer digital adapters at low or no cost).Since cable companies are no longer required to provide unencrypted/unscrambled QAM support (see http://goo.gl/uKd36y ),we no longer include QAM support in some newer models."I chose to rate this product at 2 stars because of the poor item description. However for an analog TV, it has a nice picture, although the sound could be better as other reviewers have already stated. The dynamic zoom function often cuts off the vertical edges of the broadcast, requiring manual input by the operator.

October 28, 2014
I bought this because its cheap - and it IS cheap. It looks terrible compared to the RCA LED32B30RQD 32-Inch 720p 60Hz LED HDTV/DVD Combo. I already had one of the RCA models and decided to get the Seiki to just play games with - it looks awful compared to the RCA. I ended up just buying another one of the RCA tvs to game on. I returned the Seiki because it looked terrible.

Screen going bad
May 28, 2017
TV worked fine for a few months. After about four months the picture started going bad. I have submitted a claim . Waiting for a response.
Believe the negative reviews......."preparing the TV" WTF???
January 27, 2016
Believe the bad reviews. The TV takes forever to turn on. It might as well not be a smart TV. I had to also buy a roku to stream. This is either a fake, or a dud.
Not So Smart Purchase.
December 14, 2015
If you are getting this as simply a TV the setup and display runs well although it does truncate some images. If you are getting this as a web enabled TV. Look for another TV. The user interface l is not very intuitive and things are hidden. Just try loading an app. The screen keyboard and moving arrow takes a little getting used to and you may even get to a word a minute. The support pages are just as cumbersome . Very aggrevating even if you just need a simple answer.
not the quality i expect from samsung
December 8, 2015
not bad for price, but speakers have slight vibration at mid- high volume. the netflix app doesnt always open. sometimes have to open browser then netflix. also samsung smart tvs have issues with vevo app fully functioning. outside of these its not a bad product.

update: i removed the rca cords so i can wall mount it. the video prong came right off with the cord. hdmi is my only option now. i was switching to it anyway or else i would've returned it. i love samsung, but they are eing made cheaper every day.
Extremely s..l....o......w TV
November 21, 2015
[Final update: read to bottom to see how I "fixed" this problem, because Samsung wouldn't.]I've had (and still have) several other Samsung TVs, and have liked them. This one has the same good picture quality as my previous units, but I must say that it is the least satisfying TV that I have ever owned. Why? Because it is ...... slow. How can a TV be slow?* It's slow to turn on. Remember picture tube TVs that used to take time to warm up? Not quite that bad, but takes time.* It's slow to change channels. You press a button on the remote and then wonder if the TV heard you, or not. Eventually it responds, but you are not sure if and when it will do that.* The "Smart TV" feature is *excruciatingly* slow. Many times when trying to start viewing Netflix, this TV will put a pop-up on the screen that says "Preparing TV". This goes on and on. Even that might not be so bad if it automatically started Netflix once the "preparing" was done, but it doesn't work that way - you have to just keep trying until the pop-up doesn't appear. And then wait ... for ... Netflix ... to ... start.* But WORST of all, once the TV has been "prepared" for watching Netflix, it will go into an endless cycle of showing a few seconds of a show, then freeze while a spinning counter slowly goes up to 100%, shows a few more seconds, then repeats. Again, the only solution seems to be turning the unit off then on again and try one more time. This TV is just like having a big, bright monitor that is hooked to an old, really slow computer - that needs to be re-booted over and over again to correct problems.Very, very disappointing![Update 12/29/15]:Several people have reported that they have "fixed" this problem by doing various things like waiting for all software updates to be downloaded or by turning security options off. My TV is at the latest available software version, and I've tried making all of the changes that others have suggested - but none of the fixes work very long, and then it's back to the same maddening behavior.I do appreciate the various suggestions and reports of apparent success, and I keep hoping that a real solution will emerge (Samsung, are you listening???). But I have found that there are things that you can do, or specific sequences of operations, that *appear* to fix the problem. But then try again later, and the problems are still there. I have been down that path many times. One interesting thing I have found:Sometimes Netflix will play reliably if I let it "auto-play" a program from the beginning. By this I mean that I did not press any button to have the program start playing (it seems to start playing automatically after the menu is displayed a few seconds), and I was not trying to resume an episode that I had watched part of earlier. That is great, but just too complicated. I shouldn't have to do that. And it doesn't work all the time. But what this does suggest is that it IS possible for Netflix to work on this TV under the right conditions, if only Samsung would fix this.I keep hoping that someone (Samsung would be the obvious source) will come up with a solution for this whole problem.[Update 1/2/2016]:The Netflix issue with this TV is a serious problem that needs urgent attention from Samsung. It is affecting many people. As of this writing, there 691 reviews of this TV here on Amazon, of which 98 have reported the same or similar issues with unacceptable slowness or constant buffering that makes Netflix unwatchable. So if you have this issue, you are not suffering alone. This TV also has a suspiciously large number of 5-star reviews that say nothing more than things like: "it is great," "cool," "working good" [sic], "excellent," - many of which are concentrated on a few certain days, so will leave it to others to decide if the large number 5-star reviews are the result of any ballot box stuffing to improve the overall rating.I would have returned this TV by now if I hadn't recycled the box it came in. Lacking that alternative, it looks like the only way I will be able watch Netflix on this TV without going crazy is to buy a Roku stick to provide Netflix access.Samsung is a well-known global company. If they truly cared for their customers and their reputation, I would expect them to: A) make a reassuring statement here (because someone representing Samsung has answered a number of the questions about this TV), and B) deliver a fix for the problem. But so far, we have seen neither.[Update 1/22/2016]:Having suffered with the maddening slowness along with an unusable Netflix application that Samsung still has not fixed, I took action on my own that finally allows me to watch Netflix reliably and pleasurably on this TV.The solution is to buy a Roku 3500R Streaming Stick (HDMI) which plugs into one of the HDMI outlets on the back of the TV. Like all Roku devices, it provides a user experience that is far better than Samsung's "smart" feature. I also added a TVPower Mini USB Cable for Powering Roku Streaming Stick for a very tidy installation. The only downsides to this solution are having to spend an additional 50 bucks to provide what I thought I was getting with the "Smart" TV, plus having an additional remote (although the Roku allows you to set up your smartphone as a remote).

After I wasted an hour on the phone with a customer service ...
October 7, 2016
I only rate this a "1 star" because there is no "zero." My Samsung TV died and I needed an odd-sized 39" replacement. This size is needed to fit in an antique corner armoire. I was not familiar with Seiki but the ratings on this unit were generally positive and I decided to take a chance. Right out of the box and hooked up over half of the right side of the screen was covered by a wide, present shape black blob with a few blue and red lines. After I wasted an hour on the phone with a customer service representative, who could barely speak english, going through different diagnostic exercises. After she determined that it was, indeed, a defective unit she recommended that I return it Amazon since it would take months for a warranty replacement. I suppose that is good advice since it appears they expect the retailer to back their products instead of doing so themselves. It really says a lot about quality control then a company ships defective products and expects the retailers to fix their deficiencies. I do not expect to ever buy anything in the future that says "Seiki" on it.
Not worth it
November 10, 2015
Bought one on Amazon for a Christmas gift last year. Didn't get to setting it up for a couple of months. When tried, TV would not even turn on. Great deal of runaround trying to get a fix/replacement (but Amazon was great in helping us). We had to pay to ship the defective item back. Got the new one and went to set it up yesterday. The sound doesn't work right-cuts in and out. Bottom line, we totally wasted our money on a TV full of defects that doesn't work and it's too late to get our money back. My advice would be to buy a better brand. I would really like my money back instead of having a giant paperweight sitting around.

DO NOT BUY THIS TV. When I first bought it, I read through just about all the customer review. In my mind, I was hoping to be a one of those positive customer, because the negative review seem more realistic than the positive. As it turns out I receive the package today and the first thing I did was turn it on. Well I was very disappointed! If any of you guys are looking for a T.V I recommend buying a lasting T.V or Samsung, Vizio, Sony brands. Hell refurbished T.V is probably better than this.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
March 24, 2015
I purchased a Seiki 39" for my 11 year old son for Christmas from Amazon. We set the TV up in his room, watched it about 3 times, then turned it on for the 4th time in February, and the screen had lines running through it. I contacted Amazon to send it back, but it only had a 30 day return on it and instructed me to contact Seiki Customer Service. I contacted Seiki Customer Service and sent them all the required information on March 9th. I FINALLY got a response yesterday (March 23rd), but only because I called them asking what was going on with my case. Seiki Customer Service then sent me a response letting me know this is considered physical damage and is not covered under warranty. The TV worked fine the first 3 times we watched it, and was like this when we turned it on the 4th time. It was mounted on the mount just like it was supposed to be. We did NOTHING to damage the TV. We have owned many TV's over the years, and have experienced nothing like this. I will be sure to let everyone know not to purchase a Seiki TV, on every review site I can.
For some scenes the Seiki provided a good picture but for skin tones for news and sports ...
December 30, 2014
For some scenes the Seiki provided a good picture but for skin tones for news and sports anchors they were often way off. Despite trying different adjustments some people just never looked natural. When the HDMI cable arrived it helped improve the picture quality some for skin tones but it was never great. It was weird because some people would look fine while others did not. Programing and sports (aside from anchors) on HD were good for the most part. Then less than a month after its arrival a 2-3 inch band was darker across the bottom of the screen. It would show up more in the lighter scenes. Then a day after it appeared the picture also began to flicker. This too, would show up more depending on the color of the scene. When there was more white in the scene the more the flickering could be seen.Amazon was really good about taking the TV back and they promptly refunded the money. I had bought a warranty for the TV through Amazon. The money for the warranty was also refunded. I was really impressed with Amazon's service.I would not recommend a Seiki. I have since purchased an Insignia at the same price I paid for the Seiki and it has a higher resolution and it has an incredible picture.
The sound is very poor my sons ipad is louder than this tv
December 16, 2014
Do not buy this product. The sound is very poor my sons ipad is louder than this tv. The size is more like a 14" tv. This tv was smaller than my sons 19" tv. To picture the size think about a small apartment microwave now open the door take it off the hinge and put it in the stand that's your tv. Horrible. Very disappointed.this tv also does not work with converter boxes. Gets absolutely no channels. It also does not work good with antenna either. I get two channels. Plugged my big old dinosaur tv back in and I'm good to go.

Aspect ratio while streaming poor and seemingly unfixable
July 19, 2016
So far I can't give this more than one star. We don't have cable, antenna, or dish. Just streaming and sling TV. Everything looks great until we go to stream a show and then the aspect ratio is a tiny cube in the lower left hand corner. When going into the menu and trying to fix the picture ratio, it says "it's not an option." We've done all the troubleshooting in the manual including resetting to factory settings, updating to the newest software, changing the DLS to the correct number and it still doesn't work. My boyfriend is so upset he can't speak right now. For $300 this is proving to be one of the worst buys we've ever done.

I would gladly update this review if there were a way to fix the problem, otherwise I'm sending this right back and expecting a full refund.
half screen is shows white

Pros:
- Nice tv picture quality. That's where it ends.

Cons:
- Significant delay with basic tv/remote functions including power, volume, menu settings
- Volume had to be up to 80 (?!) to be able to hear throughout the room
- SmartTV took a good 5 minutes to connect to the internet, so don't plan on streaming anything right after turning on. Would get the message "Preparing TV check back later"
- Netflix and other apps were constantly crashing the Smart TV software in the middle of a show (software was up to date)
- Significant remote delays in all Smart TV functions - trying to get back to the menu, in between shows, pausing shows, etc.
- The glossy frame created circular patterns of dust, very noticeable, even wiping off daily - very annoying and unattractive
This was a great TV, for 2 days after it was opened
December 29, 2015
This was a great TV, for 2 days after it was opened. It then decided to fail spectacularly and began bleeding colors in the form of vertical colored green, blue, red, and white lines.. I ordered a replacement and am crossing my fingers this doesn't happen again after the warranty period is done. The smart tv features were a little slow but they worked and the picture was pretty good. But this 1 star review will remain until I get a replacement and it prooves to me that it can work for a month or two.

My 50 inch samsung plasma tv is 5.5 years old and still going strong and this one lasted only 48 hours. Disappointed.

December 9, 2015
I've been waiting for the TV for weeks. It finally arrived and item is defective. It repeatedly turns on and off. Called customer service and told there's nothing they can do and to have it replaced. I looked online and it's a common problem. Had I known, I would have NEVER bought from Samsung. Very disappointed and will have to wait another two weeks for the replacement and hope that it's not defective out of the box again. If it is, I will simply request a refund and spend my money elsewhere. Buyer beware.
