At first I wanted to buy a metal one because of the countless plastic ones I have bought over the years has broken within weeks or months. So I'll admit I was a wee bit weary about buying this one. Aft reading some other reviews, I thought why not give the plastics just one more try. And boy am I happy I did. Great product and most importantly (especially for something that you use for 2 seconds a day and toss back in a drawer to forget about until tomorrow) is CHEAP! She only buys Nike and Puma shoes that you have to slide over your feet like a sock and I just can't help but laugh seeing her struggle every time to put her shoes on. Since getting these for her, she has used them religiously and can't go without them.They slide on the heel part of the shoe (wider end down) and you just kind of step into the shoe like you were to put it on normally. It arrived and I immediately wrapped it without taking it out of its original package. On Christmas morning he opened it and it was a very bizarre and awful smelling white sport coat looking piece of clothing covered in what looks like Chinese or Japanese letters. And considering that the 'shoe horn' alleges that it is "MADE IN THE USA" I suspect that it is not. Mostly due to the fact that when it arrived it was neither a shoe horn and it was covered in what looks like some kind of Asian letters. So unless you want a sweatshop smelling bizarre looking clothing item, you probable shouldn't buy this shoe horn... since I didn't get one. Perhaps I will add a picture of what arrived later.
