Five Star Reviews: | 71% This product is awesome! I've needed a long-handled shoe horn for some ... May 15, 2017 Fit really isn't an issue. This product is awesome! I've needed a long-handled shoe horn for some time, and I am thrilled with this one! It collapses to fit easily in the drawer of my living room table, but extends beautifully and firmly to help me slip on my shoes! Ideal for my non-bendy, artificial knees which don't let me use a conventional shoe horn. This is exactly the product I've been needing and for which I've been searching in stores. So glad to find it here on Amazon. I can't reach my shoes due to double knee replacements. This has solved a huge problem for me. It is sturdy and a high quality product. It arrived on time, without excess packaging. Perfect!! Fast, Easy, Comfortably to use March 24, 2017 I have 3 of these, one in my motorhome, one in my bedroom, and the other at the door that goes to my garage. I love it because I have one handy where I most need it to put on my shoes. No more fighting or struggling to put on my shoes. It collapses to store easily, yet lengthens to put shoes on fast, easy, and comfortably. I would highly recommend this shoe horn to anyone. Very helpful October 27, 2016 I purchased this to help put on shoes after I had spine surgery. Worked pretty well.If I could redesign it, I'd make it a few inches longer, make the spring slightly stiffer, and maybe put an arch or loop in it to pick it up with a dressing stick. I tended to drop it a lot. It was especially hard to get on my shoes in the morning when I'm still stiff yet getting on the treadmill is the best way to lo August 19, 2016 Since I hurt my back putting on my shoes, particularly snugger slip-on styles, was a big production until I got this long handled shoe horn. It was especially hard to get on my shoes in the morning when I'm still stiff yet getting on the treadmill is the best way to loosen up. The extending handle lets you get the right length & the metal foot horn & the spring allow an easy smooth movement to slide in my foot. They provide an excellent set of directions to make sure you use it in the best way. Now I'm not dragging my feet so much about getting on the treadmill. This is a great product if you have problems bending. A smooth glide for my feet July 24, 2016 I purchased this shoe horn because I have recently had lower spine surgery. The surgery has imposed certain limitations on my movements as I face a lengthy recovery. Putting on my shoes can be difficult and even painful. My Physical Therapist suggested a long shoe horn as an assistive device. I shopped a number of them on Amazon and Pro Comfort looked to be the most adjustable and durable. It also seemed to be generally favored by people who have bought and used it.Delivery was preceded by an introduction email by the maker, Living Concept. It was delivered quickly and included some brief helpful instructions on how to use it. The instructions are helpful because it works a little differently from a rigid shoehorn. The heel spoon is hinged by a strong spring where it connects to the shaft. This allows you to keep the shaft at whatever angle works best for you while the spoon is free to flex and guide your foot into your shoe. Living Concept also followed up with a Customer Service email soliciting feedback. I am pleased to have purchased this item. It is just the ticket for making it easier to get my shoes on. Solidly built telescopic shoe horn. June 23, 2015 Solidly built telescopic shoe horn. I am usually in a rush so I have a bad habit of not untying my shoes when I take them off and then forcing my foot back into the tied shoe when I am going back out. This hurried habit creates wear and tear on the back part of my shoes and they usually end up looking like the back ends were chewed on by a large mastiff. This shoe horn alleviates the problem. I still do not have to untie my shoes because this sturdily built shoe horn allows me to slip them back on without damaging the backs. I also appreciate the extra long handle which allows me to stand straight when I put my shoes on. Have had for almost 3 months and overall I highly recommend this product to those who are in the market for a shoe horn. | 74% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 11% The only problem I have is getting the manipulation down ... September 17, 2017 The only problem I have is getting the manipulation down pat for me and getting it situated in my shoe, but that is a work in process and it is coming along. overall it's a good tool for helping with putting shoes on September 6, 2017 Works well once you get the hang of it......the secret seems to be to insert it, then, pulling it out slowly as your foot pushes forward into shoe.... Seems a little 'too' flexible, but, overall it's a good tool for helping with putting shoes on! Works well May 13, 2017 I have had both hips and both knees replaced... I feel great, but, I still have some stiffness and inability to bend due to arthritis in other parts of my body( shoulders and back). I found this shoe horn helps with getting on my boots and other shoes that it is difficult to get my heal into the shoe. I like that it bends and is flexible. I feel this was a good purchase. A real man's tool April 17, 2017 It's pretty neat! I wish it would lock in place so when I try to pull it out of the shoe it would not extend all the way out, Thats no big thing though. Excellent product - just follow the instructions October 3, 2016 I believe that reading the instructions helps. They make it very clear how to use this in both an email they sent me and in a printed version that came with the shoe horn. I do think that the picture itself is somewhat misleading in that the "blade" part and the handle are actually pretty narrow and the picture somehow makes it look bigger. I bought this because I have struggled with a new pair of loafers that would take several tries to slip on even when I wore extra thin socks, and this works like a charm. In fact, the first time I used it, I not only got my foot in the loafer but also the cuffed pants leg!I don't have any disablitlies, but I have been searching for a shoe horn that I can use while standing up and this is perfect. My new toy! December 5, 2013 I have a broken foot, and am also planning to have lower-backsurgery in a few months. So I'm preparing for when I have todeal with foot and back issues at the same time.I figured that I will need a shoe-horn and checked out whatAmazon had to offer. This one seemed to have the bestfeatures, and it is the longest, so I decided that even thoughit cost a bit more I would give it a try.At first I had a bit of trouble with it: I didn't realize thatalthough it slid up and down, unless you clicked into theunseen notches it would slip and slide. Once I figured thatout theproblem was solved. (It's easy to feel the notchesas you slide the shoe-horn up and down.)The other problem was that unless both my room lightand my glasses were on, I couldn't tell the front of theshoe-horn from the back. I solved that problem by puttingsome nail polish on the back. (Since then I've correspondedwith the manufacturer and he said he's planning to dosomething to differentiate the front from the back.)Overall, I like this so much that I'm using it now, eventhough I don't actually need it yet. (Yes, I can reachmy feet, even while standing … but why bother.)I think it's worth the investment, and will make anice present for the boomers on your list. | 13% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 5% Give me my shoe horn June 20, 2017 This is very handy when you have a difficult time getting your shoes on. Okay But Not Strong June 1, 2017 Horn was okay but the handle did not lock to hold in place and the spoon part bent after two uses. Seems a bit flimsy. No adjustment needed/wanted February 23, 2017 Being adjustable with a spring makes it harder to use rather than a stiff plastic one. I loved the idea of this shoe horn December 30, 2016 I loved the idea of this shoe horn. However, the handle bent after only one or two uses. Because of back surgery I am able to bend my back only a certain degree. Thus maybe the reason for bending. I like to give the seller the benefit of doubt. They did replace it with a new one. Good but not perfect March 1, 2016 Although I am able to use the product with average results (Some shoes work OK, while other shoes take some amount of readjusting to finally get the shoe on.), I feel that I would have much better success if there was not spring between the shaft & horn. I need the rigidity. Too much like putting a spring on the handle of a shovel. I really do like the telescoping handle, and being metal - not plastic. Produce needs some help January 4, 2014 I purchased two of these. The first one initially functioned well but after a few uses the horn bent in my shoe - it is way tooooo thin. If carefully inserted into the shoe it works OK.Before the first shoe horn bent I submitted a second order. The second one, the first time I used it, the horn itself pulled entirely off the end of the expandable rod and stayed in my shoe. I found the horn itself wasn't secured on the expandable rod by any adhesive or threading? I super glued the horn on the rod end, hopefully it will not come off again. This issue was due to insufficient QA.To make a better product the, expandable rod, should be made of thicker metal it currently feels very flimsy and can easily be bent. The shoe horn itself should be made of thicker metal and secured by threading or at least some strong of adhesive to keep it attached. In its current configuration it is girly. Improve it as per the above and make it a manly product that women can use as well. | 5% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 5% look for something stable, this isn't it June 20, 2017 handle collapses and the dlex spring just above the horn made it impossible to use with sandals. Luckily, I only have another month to go before I'm allowed to bend down to my foot... Small March 19, 2017 Far to flexible to aid in putting on shoes with a brace (AFO) for floppy foot from a stroke. I kept it though just in case I may no longer need the AFO. Doesn't work as well as I expected it would. ... February 17, 2017 Doesn't work as well as I expected it would. I follow the instructions provided and still have to use my fingers to get shoe on completely. Really did not work well! June 10, 2015 Really did not work well! I bought this one and another with a wood handle that was 31" long. The other one worked very smoothly and this one did not. There are a lot of instructions on how to use it?!? It is a shoe horn! Instructions should not be required in my opinion but even double checking the instructions it did not work well for me. The shoe just did not slip on well as it seemed to contort too much. ... help my handicap / elderly father and was very disappointed when it arrived January 3, 2015 I bought this to help my handicap / elderly father and was very disappointed when it arrived. The main problem is that you cannot lock the handle at the desired length, so it's not really adjustable. The handle slides making it useless. It also allows for no weight, it is only a "guide". Those two features alone make for a very poor aide to assist in putting your shoes onwhen you are already physically compromised. This is getting returned. Not very functional February 2, 2014 I wanted a shoe horn I could depend on for not breaking like the plastic ones do, so I chose this metal one. I also like the extendable handle feature.Well, I was very disappointed when I first used the shoe horn because it has a spring just above the horn part that moves around so much that it fights with my shoe and foot and doesn't allow the stability I need to slide my foot in my shoe.It also should have a twist lock of some kind to allow you to keep the handle at the correct length once you've determined what that is.I think this shoe horn needs to go back to the designer, and I will continue shopping for another one that I can use that works well. | 3% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 8% Shoe horn September 20, 2017 It just wobbles and moves all over the place.Thought it would lock in place. To me just was a waste of money shoe horn September 18, 2017 This shoe horn has a spring just above the horn part. This makes it almost unusable and you have to grip the horn part below the spring which is difficult. Why they put that spring there is a mystery to me. A Cheap shoe horn! Broke quickly. March 27, 2017 It bended after the 3rd use it. I don't recommend this one. It was also very uncomfortable to use because of a spring. Bendable contraption doesn't work with all shoes! May 4, 2016 I ordered this shoe horn for my husband, and it's hit or miss depending on the shoe whether they work for him. The bendable shoe horn just doesn't allow him to easily insert his foot into his work shoes, so he's using another one I ordered. I wouldn't order this again. Get Rid of the Spring! January 18, 2016 This is a really poor design for a well made product. The problem is in the spring action, it prevents the foot from slipping easily into the shoe! I have tried and tried and it is clear that a rigid shoehorn is much better! I wanted to send it back, but the lovely customer service persuaded me to keep it and keep on trying until I got the hang of it, which I never have! | 5% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
