This is such a clever and fun way for young, happy couples to show that they have a sense of humor. I stumbled across this topper and jokingly suggested it to my Fiance for our wedding....and he was totally sold on the idea! I didn't expect him to take to it as well as he did because his parents and grandparents are very conservative people. However, he said that this was a perfect way to personalize our wedding day with little inside jokes that only he and I share between us. I love this and it looks even better in person. Very satisfied with this piece!

I bought this wedding cake topper to bring with us for our destination wedding. It arrived in a compact box with a Styrofoam mold on the inside to protect it and hold it in place...I have good confidence it will make it to the wedding in one piece and it won't take up much room. The figurine itself is adorable, and the ceramic is very smooth and consistent. There were only a few small places where the paint lines were not perfect, but I painted over these areas to fix it. I took one of the other reviewer's suggestion and painted the hair on the bride to match my brunette hair and eyebrows. I used a water based oil paint and an ultra thin brush from my local arts and crafts store - the paint took a few days to dry, and I would recommend acrylic instead. It was very easy to do...you just need a steady hand and about an hour (depending on how fast you paint).

My fiancee and I were looking for something that didn't have the bride dragging the groom or the groom chained up. We wanted people to know we were happy! We also didn't want the traditional bride and groom topper because it was too simple. When I found this one, I knew that it would be the best fit for our goofy personalities. And at the wedding, we sure got some laughs out of it, and it was also a great conversation starter. The packaging was well done, I did not have a problem with the time it got delivered. I'd say if you like it, get it!

Amazon wins again - beating local store prices! We purchased this for my mothers wedding since I decorated this and covered up the handles anyway. This was a great product and terrific prices. Fast delivery and great product! Well done.

Bought these for my daughter's Quinceanera. She decorated them with some ribbon, and now they look really cute. I would probably want a nicer set if it was for a wedding though because they do look and feel pretty cheap.

FANTASTIC price! I don't understand why people spend a ton on these because no one really pays attention. These are super cute and I guarantee that etsy people purchase these and spruce them up for more. It's already nice looking, but when I added a ribbon it just personalized them to my wedding colors a bit more.

These really add a nice touch to your dessert plate or table. They look elegant enough for a holiday meal, but yet they are durable, inexpensive and practical enough to be used for everyday. Or, put a nice white ribbon and bow for a wedding cake. Pie, or cake for dessert makes any meal special. They come in a nice box for gift giving, or to store them to keep them from getting banged around in that famous "kitchen utensil drawer".

I purchased this serving set for my wedding that was held in Hawaii (it traveled well in it's packaging), and I am SO pleased with my purchased. The photo pictures shows a somewhat grey-ish handle, but it's actually a beautiful faux crystal.When I removed it from the packaging, I was concerned it was a little flimsy as it's 2 pieces and not one solid metal mass like many other serving sets, but it held up to our cake just fine! Our cake was more like banana bread, so it was sturdy enough to cut through a bread-like cake that was a couple of layers. They also photographed beautifully! (see photo)For the price, and the use of it for 5 minutes...it's completely worth it!

As stated above, it looks like the picture. It comes in a typical box. I ordered this because our wedding was not your run-of-the-mill boring reception and while I did not order this with the intention of repainting it, the colors were so bland that I did end up painting it to match our wedding colors and theme better. Just in case anyone is curious, acrylic paint worked very well. My only regret about the figurines themselves was the ridiculously disproportionate noses they had. I guess as a cake topper, your guests won't notice because no one would be that close, but the noses were huge when observed closely. Cute and something different for a more lax wedding reception. I would definitely recommend.

Not the best paint job, but I can deal with it. Besides, I think most of the wedding toppers in this price range have bad paint jobs anyway. I have dark hair so I used a paint bursh to color the bride's hair dark. This topper is fun. Looking normal in the front and surpise! in the back. Most of the guests did not know till we asked them to peek behind our wedding cake, then they all laughed hard. I have been finding a wedding topper that will define my husband and I better, we are a fun, young couple, and this topper is very much like us. Now I am currently displaying this topper on my shelf and have it face the wall.

I have almost no complaints about this product. It arrived promptly in proper sized packaging and the figurine itself seems to have no defects. The only thing remotely close to a complaint that I have is the bride's hand doesn't really look like it's pinching his umm rear rather just resting on his hind end eitherway it's still cute and will still be on my cake!

This is cute and I will use it, but the couple is not 7" tall as mentioned in the product dimensions. 5" would be closer. I think it's a good size for our cake, but we're planning on adding a dog figurine to represent our pet and it would have been off scale if we had already ordered something based on the given height of 7".

I got this wedding topper totally last minute, since my office decided to have a surprise wedding toast to a colleague on her last day before getting married - we got a big cake and some bubbles and a wedding topper seemed like a fun idea. I have to say i was slightly appalled at some of the wedding toppers of brides dragging their grooms to the altar etc - i mean, come on - but this one struck just the right tone of funny but not offensive or too crass. She really liked it and it was a fun keepsake of the day. My only tiny gripe is that it's pretty darn heavy! i dont recall mine being so heavy? you have to be careful how you place it. otherwise it's great - i can totally understand the other reviewer's wish for other hair/skintone options, it must be frustrating not to have as much selection - this one worked for our staffer, but that was just luck!

They are not a heavy weight set but they defiantly looked the part for a modest price. They are a great option compared to the more expensive sets. I only planned to use them once. But now friends are using them for their wedding to. Great buy.

Simple and just what I need. I may even add some satin ivory ribbon. This set is waaaaay cheaper than I have seen anywhere else for the EXACT SAME THING!

Kind of crappy made, they looked really bad. Scuffs on the handles, scratches on the blade, it was like they were open box returns. Seems like this is a common issue with other buyers, too. I guess they were okay for our one day. Unless you plan on giving your knife set to another engaged couple, or putting it on display, I would go with this garbage one-time-use set.

Upgraded it. Crystal does not at all look real. Actually quite cheap. However i covered it up with twine.Came super quick and cheap so cant beat the price even at Walmart.

Being a very practical woman, I purchased this serving set to use at our wedding knowing that I "needed" something for the silly cake cutting pictures, but not wanting to spend $50-$100 on some crazy engraved silver pieces that I would never look at again in my life (and couldn't sell on Craigslist due to the engraving....) This set fit the bill perfectly. They are never going to fool someone into thinking they are real crystal, but they look nice enough for pictures. And, let's face it, I hope people are looking more at your smiling faces in the pictures than the stupid knife! As other reviewers have noted, the display pictures are a bit misleading since the set is clear "crystal" and not smoky as the pictures seem to indicate. These do the job well and if they aren't fancy enough for you, it's simple enough to tie or hot glue some ribbon and/or pearls/lace to the handles to make them match the rest of your decor. Best of all, they didn't break in half when we tried to cut the cake! (and yes, I have actually seen this happen...)

These are pretty cheap, but the price reflects it. We covered our handles with burlap and lace to match our theme and now after the wedding are very happy to have the extra $25 or more in our pockets we saved over buying something else. You only use them once then they go on a box.... there are things to spend good money on for a wedding, this is not one of them! Buy it.

Paint didn't match the picture at all. The skintone was much lighter and the hair colors didn't match either.

Cute but the faces were painted on all funky looking.

The couple's faces were pretty melancholy and that definitely didn't reflect the mood I was in on my wedding day. The quality was great and the pose was just what I wanted but they'd be 5 stars if they looked happier.

I was a little disappointed in the quality of this piece. It's really cute, and suits my and my fiancee' perfectly, but the painting is not very precise and a little sloppy. I'm hoping no one will stand close enough to notice at the wedding!

This was the first item I purchased when I we were getting married. So perfect for us and I used it but had to do some touch ups. The black on the suit was chipped in several places. We had it on the cake as shown in the picture so it wasn't as noticable. We got married on the beach so the cake topper was facing out the window looking out towards the water and beach. The next day I was washing it off and the paint was washing away. I'm glad we have pictures because I ended up throwing it away. Man hands are really big too.

I wanted a fun cake topper that went with my theme of wedding. This one is really cute. I just dont understand why the couple isnt smiling on their wedding day. And the hand isnt exactly grabbing, its just there...but it will do and im sure people will still think its funny.

Knife set was ok but served its purpose. Not to be given as a gift or keepsake because the quality is lacking. Good for parties and occasional use.

I felt like the cake cutter was going to break when we cut the wedding cake. It didn't but it did not feel very sturdy.

This serving set has been okay. They served their purpose... almost. READ BELOW TO HEAR THE STORY.They looked good and pretty fancy for our wedding. We tied a bow of ribbon around them which made them look better.The funny thing is right in the middle of cutting the cake I did not realize there was a cardboard separator between the cake layers so the knife got stuck on it and when I pushed a little hard to try to keep cutting the knife handle broke right off! That definitely caused a good laugh for everyone. I even got it on video! We still succeeded in using the blade without the handle to serve our first piece of cake.So overall I guess you get what you pay for. For most people these will probably perform wonderfully. Just do not try to push them too hard!!!

My fiancé and I didn't want to spend a lot on a cake knife set, so we settled on this product. You really get what you pay for with this product. The set has some scratches and definitely looks cheap, BUT I would much rather have spent the money elsewhere than on a cake knife set. All in all, I would still buy this same product because the photographer will not get close ups of the knife set.

Very nice but the fist has a plastic part that makes it look shoddy and cheap. The fist came with a default because it comes off as a peak plastic as poorly trained and poorly painted. LOOK MORE FINE IN THE PICTURE

Good price, however the low price is definitely reflected in its low quality. The handle is made of a cheap quality plastic and came covered in chip marks, the blades are thin and flimsy and not well attached to the handle, as they are wobbly. The silver plastic piece that connects the blade to the handle on the knife came with a huge scratch that pulled a lot of the silver coating off (it is extremely noticeable). though luckily these are only being used once for my wedding and no one there will care if the cake serving set is pristine, that and silver nail polish will probably cover the scratch well enough. If you are purchasing these for one time use, they are a fantastic deal, anything more, and you'll come to regret it.

A lot smaller than expected

Was a little disappointed when this came in. So cute from the back, but the painting on the faces looks cheap and the brides hair is super light blond. Not even close to my color. Oh well, u get what u pay for. :(

it come to me in one day and was perfectly boxed, I checked it over and it looked great, on top of the cake it was very nice, I did think the pinch would be how do you say this: a little more affectionate looking, I realize its for a wedding but the bride and groom look stoic and flat. no biggie rightso the next day I am washing it in the sink to got the cream and cake off of the bottom so i can put it somewhere in the house and memoralize the moment. DO NOT WASH THIS PRODUCTthe paint came right of the shoes and the grooms eye and now it looks weird and no way i can display it for ever....unless I paint it

Didn't realize there would be an engraving all ready on them. Like happy anniversary in spanish. Did the job though

I know these were cheap but it would bearly cut through an angel food cake w/o making cracking sounds like it was going to break...but served my purpose.

I am sorry, plastic does not look real at all. I don't agree you one get what you pay for, I purchased this set with the impression I was getting what was advertised. It was supposed to be a gift and see for yourself how it came, the inside packaging is broken and appears not good quality.... not a happy customer..

The set was pretty, but the knife was warped/curved. This was not acceptable, because it was going to used for cutting a wedding cake. I missed Amazon's window for return by one day, so I was unable to return or get a replacement from Amazon, or iCatch. Lesson learned. Always inspect items for quality upon arrival, and return immediately, if unacceptable.

They are cheap...the only reason I kept them is because it's for pics purposes only. A catering company will cut and serve cake. This will only be used to take a couple of pics of the bride and groom holding knives as prop...really hoping you can't tell how cheap they really are in the photo!

I only planned on using these once, for our wedding so going cheap was fine with me. Just like some of the other comments, I experienced the weak construction upon cutting the cake. My husband and I had to apply pressure high on the hilt of the knife because it started to bow under the pressure of cutting the Cake. The server did very well though.

Horrible quality for higher price

I have had my eye on this for a very long time and finally decided to order it, I looks nothing like the picture you cant tell she is grabbing his butt at all (cant tell she has fingers its more like a blob) witch is the whole point of the thing and it really just looks like she's just barley touching it. I really don't want to put this on top of my wedding cake anymore. :(

The faces were painted on weird and looked cheap. I returned this ASAP.

I repeat do not order this. It is so ugly!! It is poorly painted, I thought there was a silver painted smudge mark on the brides left hand and realized it was supposed to be her wedding ring. The couple has busted up noses. If you do order make sure to turn the couple around so people don't have to look at it. Soooooooo bad!!!

I have been looking forward to receiving this item in the mail because I think it would be perfect on my wedding cake. However, after 10 days of waiting for it to come and watching it not move from the location on the USPS trackable packages website, I received an email saying that the address was "not deliverable". I have never in 30 years had any issues with my "house" address. When looking at the USPS website, it never even left the manufacturer. I would have loved to have had that item but I was quite disappointed to not receiving the item for some error that wasn't even justified.

Cheap!! Knife broke in half first cut into the cake in front of everyone at a corporate event. Completely embarrassing!

Spend the money on a nice set of cake cutters. We didn't even get through the first tier of the wedding cake before the clear handle snapped right off the knife. It was a funny moment, but I don't recommend this product.

Handles were chipped, package was opened, most of the silver accent paint was flaked off, the knife blade was bent and it would cost me more to send it back then I would receive on a refund. Very poor product, but at least I'm only throwing away 5 bucks. Thats like 2 packs of gum or something.

I decided to take a chance on this product due to the amount of raving reviews. I am so disappointed in the product and wish I wouldn't have wasted the money (thank goodness it wasn't more than it was). This is definitely a case of "too good to be true" and "you get what you pay for."The piece that connect the knife to the "crystal" is so chipped, scratched, and damaged that it makes the entire thing look bad. Plus, the "crystal" looks extremely cheap. Do not waste your money.

Purchased this based on the overwhelmingly large number of good reviews, but was sorely disappointed. My knife and server look super cheap - the steel blades are very stained, and the plastic silver piece that connects the steel to the handle is had chips and scratches all over it. Can't use it for my upcoming wedding, purchased a $30 Lenox set instead.

I don't understand! When people are giving the set five stars, I wonder what they are using for comparison. If this is considered a five star item, I hope I never see a one star item. The knife and spatula are both incredibly flimsy and light. The person hired to photograph the serving set deserves a bonus, he really made them look incredible. The problem is that the difference between the item in the photograph is not sufficient to actually say they did anything improper.I suppose it goes without saying, I strongly recommend you keep looking if you want anything to last more than one use. You know, I just had an epiphany. Maybe that's the idea, maybe this is intended to be used once? In any case, it's very poor quality.
