I bought this carpet brush to pick up pet hair before vacuuming and it does an excellent job. The handle is two-piece tubular affair that is wobbly in use. I replaced it with a single rod and it works just fine.

Love , love, love this !! My dog is a collie and his hair shedding is unreal ! We bought a new vacuum again as the dogs hair clogged the first one. This is a blessings as my wife or I run it across the rug and you can not imagine how much dogs hair comes up !!! It makes it so much easier to vacuum and not have to worry about all the dogs hair .....My wife or I run it every day just so there is really no build up of the dogs hair. Wonderful little helper !!! Would buy this over again if need be and I recommend it for anyone who has a dog hair problem....problem solved !!

I thought my cleaning woman was going to think I had gone completely OCD in getting this. I hedged my bet by saying I was going to use it on my carpet after she had vacuumed. She said, "Oh, can I try it, I never see something like this for carpet." Said it reminded her of raking rice in the Philippines when she was 14. She loves using it and remarks, "Carpet looks like new!" (It's 17 years old.)

Who puts carpet in a bathroom??? My vanity area (where my sinks and electrical outlets are located) is carpeted and when I style my hair it becomes covered in hair. I bought this rake after talking to a professional carpet cleaner about how to get the hair up since vacuuming doesn't do much. It is UH-MAY-ZING!!! I vacuumed my carpet and then raked up 4 handfuls of hair that was stuck in my carpet. I used it monthly and I only seem to get one or two handfuls of hair now. If you're tired of shedding and not being able to get it off the carpet I strongly suggest this rake

This carpet brush is keeping my carpets looking like new. I have 2 cats and 1 dog and they shed a lot of fur, but this carpet brush have solved my problem.

It does the job that is needed for with Dogs with long hair

Really makes a difference in our old rugs. Helps to make them feel plush again under our bare feet.

This is an excellent tool. I use it all the time, and it keeps the nap up on the carpet, so as it pulls debris up to be vacuumed.

great for getting that hair up off the bathroom floor when you dont want to haul out the full vacuum.

Works well. The only annoying thing is that the handle separates frequently at the attachment seams whenever I use it. No matter what, I can't get it to stay together tightly. It's annoying, but not a deal breaker. This product really does help fluff up/revive your carpets.

I use this with my carpet powder. The instructions on how to put it together weren't that great. I ended up having to duct tape it together because I couldn't get it to stay, and nobody else I asked could either. Maybe I'm missing something?

Works well when use with ZORB dry-carpet cleaning solution.I use this about once a month when I want to gently rake the product into the carpet fibers.I have also found this to be useful when you're entertaining and want to give the appearance you've just vacuumed.

Love love love this. I have a dog who sheds insane amounts and this is a lifesaver. I have a fancy pet vacuum, and the first time I used this brush I picked up half a canister of dog hair after vacuuming the floor prior to using the brush. The handle is very flimsy so don't expect to be able to push super hard on it, but other than that this is a fantastic product.

It needs better directions on how to put it together. I was ready to send it back because it was so flimsy until I talk to a friend who also purchased one . She told me you have to pound it really hard together.

Very happy with my purchase. I had one like this given to me a long time ago however it broke and this has been a great replacement. I have a Chow Chow/shepherd mix and two long haired girls this helps so I don't have to tear apart the vacuum every room to clean out the hair.

The rake is a nice product. It would have been nice if a handle would have been included in the purchase.

met the expectations. my carpet is 14 years old and was getting the beat down traffic pattern. a carpet rake was recommended by the person who cleaned the carpet. it performed as well as the professionals rake.

The Carpet Rake works excellently. It really gets deep between the carpet fibers and pulls the dirt out.This makes vacuuming a breeze and lifts the fibers so the carpet looks great.This item would have been given a 5 but the picture is deceiving.I thought when I was purchasing this product that it would come in a complete form. I thought that the pole part of the rake came with it. When I received just the rake sections without the poles and saw that I had to go get poles from a hardware store in order to use it I was very disappointed.When you attach the rake to the pole you must tighten the screw into the pole and after raking it becomes lose due to the resistance while raking. It needs constant tightening.So the rakes are great but I feel that they should come with the poles included.

It comes apart. It comes in 2 pieces but twists apart while your raking. Other then that its a great rake. It really does a great job uncovering crumbs things thar may be hidden in the rug. It makes it easier to vacuum and bring life back to shag carpet

I should have bought the rake instead of the carpet groomer. The rake is better for getting the carpet to really stand back up (especially areas where heavy furniture left their indentation).

Well, I just thought I was so much smarter than other reviewers who I assumed couldn't assemble the handle properly LOL. The handle just falls apart. Luckily they have brooms at the dollar store (for a dollar!) with a screw-in handle, which I used to replace this handle.

Handle is very light and comes apart easily, even while using it. Not great on the carpet... but may have been expecting magic

It's okay. It definitely loosened up gunk that was hiding out in the rug that my Sebo vaccum couldn't get. That said, I don't think it made the carpet look better. It made some of the fibers standup, but so does my vacuum. Maybe this rug was too far gone - 6 year old acryllic in high traffic area.

it is picking up cat fur and little things i miss with the vaccum but i am not seeing anything repiling or perkiness with the carpet. it is just okay but not for the price. good for picking up cat and dog fur though.

Actually I only got one rake. It works well enough to get the hair off the carpet.

I have not used it very much. The tines are quite sharp and I am afraid it will fray the ends of the carpet. It has only been used for a little bit of "touch up"

It cam without a pole!! Unbelievable!! Where do I get a wooden pole to fit these?

OK, but I wish it came with a handle. Just so happened to have a handle from a broom that works perfect. ( I tested it on an area of carpet in a bedroom ).

The rake works well. It came in a nice package, but with NO handle/pole. Rake arrived only. I had to use an old mop pole/handle, and drill screws in the base of the rake! Well, not Amazaon's fault. Thank you anyway.

The first time I used this to rake my carpet it broke, but was fixable. My husband screwed into the plastic through the broomstick and it hasn't broken since, and it is used almost daily. Some of the teeth are bent maybe I'm too ambitious with it. Couldn't find any other sort of rake on the market that is more sturdy, but with modification this one should last you quite awhile.

The brush itself is okay. The handle is worthless--pure junk. The handle is a 3 piece handle that will not screw together. Make sure you keep the small black piece that fits into the brush. I had a couple of screw handles that I kept from paint rollers or quickie tool that broke. They work fine with this brush. With a replacement handle the brush does a good job of removing footprints from the carpet. I only gave it a star above total junk because I was able to make it work. Pretty pricey for a brush without a handle. If you have an extra pole laying around like I did, you will be okay.But if you are counting on using this product out of the box, do not buy this product.

If you are willing to really work at it, I could see how it might be an ok product. Trust me when I tell you it isn't like raking leaves in your yard. You have to continue to go over and over the area your trying to level out. And don't even think about doing all carpeted areas. Won't do you any good.

The "brush" part of the tool works fairly well, but the flimsy pole they send with it broke on the very first usage. I was able to use another brook handle that I had available with the brush, but there are no threads on it for the handle to screw into, so its a loose fit at best.It really cool be a very good tool if it either came with a sturdier handle or it at least excepted threaded broom handles as a replacement.

The handle is hollow plastic and collapsed in the middle on the very first use. Shipping back would cost more than it is worth, so I wasted my money on this purchase.

The bristles keep falling out, even though I only used it once. It seems to work okay, but I'm concerned how long it will last.

much elbow grease required to get it to actually 'rake' the carpet, otherwise it just lightly slides over surface with minimal pickup. Not worth it, for my particular carpet, anyway (normal 1/2" non-loop).

Broke the first time we used it...don't waste your money...

This did not come with a handle!! You have to supply your own handle. It's something that looks like it could come out of the Dollar Store. Works okay. Disappointment for the price.

I have purchased these carpet rakes before and had great luck for years..when it finally broke I bought two more which imediately broke after one use . I was in contact with the seller and they replaced one and after two uses it broke just like the other two ... I will not be coming back to this seller!!

It broke almost immediately. A totally worthless product.

The product was not the same as an exact make and model my neighbor has. That neighbor's has a one piece handle, and two rows of nylon teeth. The one sent had a three section handle that fell apart easily and only one row of nylon teeth. It was garbage and I returned it the day after I received it for a full refund, I will give great credit to Amazon whose return service for an unused, poorly made product was excellent!!!

NOT MEANT FOR CARPET. IT DOES NOTHING TO THE CARPET. VERY FLIMSY. WOULD BE NICE IF IT HAD A STIFFER PLASTIC AND FEWER. THIS SHOULD NOT BE SOLD FOR CARPET GROOMING.

Does a substandard job of refreshing the rug fibers. Handle and head bend and wiggles with very little pressure.

I appreciate that I received it right away, as I've come to count on Amazon for fast delivery. I put it together, and used it on the living-room carpet. It was flimsy and fluffed the carpet, some. However, the reason I purchased it was to rake the carpet and pick up pet hair. . . it did not work.

The bristles are too soft to do anything,doesn't help pick up pet hair , which is why I bought it, and doesn't make carpet look any better. It's just a big waste of money! I bought a hand held brush as an add on,and it was so much better. Look for a rake with plastic and not nylon bristles. I learned my lesson.
