Four Star Reviews: | 7% Keeps my apartment running and connected July 8, 2017 This product was a steal! I am a current Wireless employee and I know that these items are totally worth it! I cancelled my home internet and now I just have wireless! I've pulled the plug, by moving from traditional wired internet to wireless and I've never been happier! Awesome product! Four Stars November 28, 2016 it's ok but have to sign up for a contract which the person I got for didn't want. Works great, reliable and good LTE speed, but not as fast November 27, 2016 I find this device reliable and has a good relatively high speed LTE signal. But the LTE data speed is not as fast as the latest phones. For example, on my iPhone 6, iPhone 7, or late-model Android device, I can get up to 50 mbps at my home or work. This device, in the exact same location, will get me 8-13 mbps. Still relatively fast and definitely as advertised LTE speeds, but not nearly as fast as a new iOS or Android LTE device is capable of delivering. Great for flying drones November 18, 2016 Works great for my drone . Now I can fly just about every where and capture video s and pictures. | 7% Keeps my apartment running and connected July 8, 2017 This product was a steal! Three Star Reviews: | 6% Older model June 27, 2017 It was ok but on taking it to the Verizon store to get started they said it was an older model and then when I wanted to add extra data it wouldn't let me use my phone it kept registering my number and wouldn't let me put in verizon jetpack number I wish I had set up internet wifi instead or do a plan with verizon Not a very good product September 29, 2016 It doesn't work like it should and it doesn't pick up a signal in a lot of areas Somewhat slow booting up, and display is more minimalist ... September 15, 2015 Somewhat slow booting up, and display is more minimalist than I'd have preferred. It charges fairly quickly, though, and it's reasonably compact. It's also cheap -- a big plus for me, since I lose one nearly every time I travel. I bought two Jetpaks this time for a total of $21. At that price they are semi-disposable. I've used all of the wireless modems Verizon has offered over the years, and this one is less buggy than most of their other models. | 6% Older model June 27, 2017 It was ok but on taking it to the Verizon store to get started they said it was an older model and then when I wanted to add extra data it wouldn't let me use my phone it kept registering my number and wouldn't let me put in verizon jetpack number I wish I had set up internet wifi instead or do a plan with verizon Not a very good product September 29, 2016 It doesn't work like it should and it doesn't pick up a signal in a lot of areas Somewhat slow booting up, and display is more minimalist ... Two Star Reviews: | 8% Two Stars February 2, 2017 Great service, fast shipment, product completely stopped working after five months with no indication of any problem. Skip this piece of junk. September 12, 2016 This little Jetpack seemed pretty neat at first. I get out signal at my work so I stuck this in a cabinet outside so I could get decent signal. This thing seems to drop connectivity every 15 minutes or so. I've re booted it, used the reset, it is just junk. Will work in a pinch but it's all but useless for streaming and heavier duty needs. Shell out the money and get a better quality unit. Avoid this one (Verizon Ellipses Jetpack) January 19, 2015 Great performance where it happens to work. But ONLY works on 4G LTE, and even in my major metropolitan area, that coverage is spotty. Most/all Verizon 4g PHONES work seamlessly on 3G,4G,LTE, on multiple radio frequencies, and you never even notice. This little Ellipsis Jetpack ONLY does 700Mhz LTE, period. That is very limiting. Research comparison charts on this product line, and pick a different model. If you are lucky with your coverage, this may work for you. I travel on business and need to know I can get connected, wherever I go. I also have mixed results using this from Mac versus PC versus Tablet. It is not consistent, especially if you are in a typical public place with 10 other WIFI signals interfering.Get one of Verizon's other products in this same family. There is a reason this is their cheapest, entry-level product. It is simple, small, and light . .. but also light on actually WORKING. Very poor. Seems to work good as a hot-spot, however it has some serious issues. September 12, 2014 The Verizon Ellipsis Jetpack seems to work good as a hot-spot, however it has some serious issues. The administration is done similar to most routers, via a webpage. Simple right? Wrong! It is impossible to change the wireless password using the included documentation, or the downloadable documentation from the Verizon website.Even the Verizon Tier 2 telephone support could not figure it out. Not surprisingly they were using the same documentation.LOL! So much for Tier 2 support. After several hours of trial and error, I figured out how to change the wireless password. My solution is as follows:Change the admin password to what ever you want the Wi-Fi password to be.Change the Wi-Fi password to match the new admin password.Change the admin password again, if you want them to be different.Note:-The Wi-Fi password must be at least 8 characters long, but the admin password must be at least 6 characters.-The exact "punctuation" characters acceptable for the admin password are not listed, so stick with upper case, lower case, and numbers.-If the Jetpack shows the wrong Wi-Fi password after saving the changes using the web interface, cycle the power on the Jetpack. Please be advised I posted this review (not the exact words, but similar) to the Verizon website, but it was rejected stating it "did not meet our posting guidelines."I guess they didn't like what I had to say. So I'm posting to Amazon. | 8% Two Stars February 2, 2017 Great service, fast shipment, product completely stopped working after five months with no indication of any problem.
