Five Star Reviews: | 32% Inexpensive and worked fine April 28, 2017 Had everything I needed for assembling furniture and doing small jobs around the house | 63% Nice addition to the tool kit June 16, 2017 Nice addition to the tool kit. Especially useful if you are getting it as a gift for someone who needs extra screwdrivers for various projects. Nice set of screwdrivers and economical June 5, 2017 Unbeatable for the prices. Nice set of screwdrivers and at this price point you can have a set for the motor home, garage and hobby toolbox too! They feel comfortable in the hand and do the job they were intended to do. Good, basic screwdriver set for cheap May 19, 2017 Screwdrivers are like pencils - there is never going to be one around when you want it. That's why it never hurts to have another set. This 10-piece set has your basic Phillips & flat-head screwdrivers suitable for most common household jobs. They are even color coded - blue end for Phillips, red for flat-head, a nice touch. The screwdrivers come in a little plastic "storage rack" allowing you to slip them in and out. This is suitable for taking a group picture of all 10, before they begin to disappear around your house. Good tools, built to last, good grips and fine price March 21, 2016 Stanley tools are always a few cuts above the usual store tools, including that Chinese warehouse outlet, for sure. I found these are well-made, with good handles, apparently good-strength blades (time will tell) and a good price for the set. I only needed a couple of sizes, but this set was just so well-priced that I got the whole bunch for the price of a couple of drivers at the store. This lets me stock my various vehicle toolkits cost-effectively. Excellent set for a affordable price August 27, 2013 The household has long needed a set of good screwdrivers instead of what we had, which was basically the occasional purchase of whatever was needed right then with no plan at all. What would typically happen is when a screwdriver was needed, one couldn’t be found and a new screwdriver would be purchased. This would go into the junk drawer and somehow disappear the next time it was needed, the cycle of stupidity being continued. Well, no more. For the excellent price of $10.62 I now have a set of pretty decent screwdrivers on a (cheap) little rack and no excuse to be missing one for the time being. The price wasn’t the only thing that appealed to me, as the handles seemed perfect and ergonomic for my arthritic hands. Plus I don’t have to be concerned about quality issues with these, something that I couldn’t be confident about at all if I had purchased an inexpensive imported set. I read the reviews and as most informed people understand, you don’t buy budget or economy priced tools. You’ll end up needing to replace those probably sooner than later. That’s why I jumped on these while the price was so low. Yes, there are some better ones out there but cost prohibitive for me. Made in America is another draw, and although some may consider these not especially well made I can only say that for the average homeowner like me they are as good as I need. I waited too long for the equivalent DeWalt set when it was priced very close to this one, but I'm not crying over spilled milk because I didn't have the money at that time and I'm satisfied with what my $10 bought me. I will need a real screwdriver rack at some point when I get better organized (moved into new house 3 months ago) and set up a nice work area, because what holds them together now is only good enough for just that - to hold them. This is just a very basic set but certainly good enough for that role. I don’t make my living using expensive precision tools so my requirements are more than met. And for only $10. | 47% Great Go To Drill October 26, 2017 We use it EVERYDAY! It's awesome as a go to electric drill tool kit for daily projects or fix its around the house. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 15% Good for the price. May 10, 2017 Item arrived ahead if schedule! Not bad quality for a super inexpensive socket set. Wasn't expecting SnapOn quality, and have had good luck with this brand over the years. I needed one in a hurry for some quick car repairs and it did it's job. The 1/4 inch drive handle immediately split first time I used it though. Just okay August 30, 2016 I wanted socket with 44mm headroom but I keep getting same thing. I am gonna still keep it. What are you looking for? August 2, 2016 If you're looking for a sturdy ratchet, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a nice box to organize and display your ratchet and sockets, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a good deal on a nice variety of sockets in different sizes to start your set -or fill gaps in your existing set- you've found it. Even if you have to go spend another 10-12 dollars more on a good ratchet to use them, you're still coming out ahead. Not bad for what I need February 7, 2016 When I received this product, I had no problems. I bought to use in the future to change my different mounts (Engine, Torque, and Transmission). Now I will admit, they were cheap for a reason, I bought them because they were cheap, and I need some tools to do some quick fixes. The only issue I have with this set, it is the fact that there is no "Locking Notch" in each piece, but I use other adapters that kinda make that moot, but I the adapters included are ok, and the ones I use make this kit awesome.Overall, 4 stars. Nice set for a nice price July 23, 2015 This is a nice little set. I was looking for a small set for my bicycle work and this fits the bill for the price. I have more substantial tools for working on my car but needed something a little smaller I could toss into my small tool bag. | 17% Screwdrivers work super well, are easy to hold July 15, 2017 Screwdrivers work super well, are easy to hold, and are great quality (especially for the price!). The plastic holder that keeps them all together arrived broken, meaning that the screwdrivers were scattered throughout the box when they arrived, which is why I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars. Perfect for occasional use! July 13, 2017 I bought this product in order to install a new window ac, it worked out great! However, I would not recommend it if you intend to use a lot, after one first use the tip started to "break/bend" and it is clearly not intended for strong/constant use. You get what you pay for. But it worked out great for me, as I very likely will not use it again anytime soon. Decent set of cheap screw drivers, I don't think ... May 16, 2017 Decent set of cheap screw drivers, I don't think they will last all that long especially with heavy use. That being said it gives you a decent range of sizes in phillips and flat head Perfect set up. April 28, 2017 It really helped. I was always chasing my self with straight head or phillip heads. Now I can keep the drivers where I know they are, and if someone helps me with something, I can just be sure that the tool is put back where it came from, not in their tools. Good deal. September 16, 2016 More than worthy for the price. The #1 Philips was the main reason I bought it and it has a rounded tip which kind of limits its use to non precision work, oh well. Generally nice home owner screwdrivers except the handles are not the best for grip.. too rounded or something. Included rack works, front bar slides off with some effort, but the wall you attach it to best be leaning backwards a bit to use it... rack is not worth keeping for several reasons. Don't buy it if the word rack attracts you. | 17% Perfect for home projects September 29, 2017 Great for projects around the house. If you are looking to use it for your job or industrial use I will keep looking.for home and casual use this is perfect. It comes with everything you could ever need and is very easy to stowaway Good drill BUT I can't find now where to buy ... September 19, 2017 Good drill BUT I can't find now where to buy a battery for it, not happy with that. Would not have bought the drill if I knew I couldn't buy a battery for it :( VERY PLEASED WITH THE PURCHASE-----PROOF WILL BE IN THE PUDDING------------LIFE OF ... May 30, 2017 VERY PLEASED WITH THE PURCHASE-----PROOF WILL BE IN THE PUDDING------------LIFE OF BATTERY HOLDING IT'S CHARGE, QUALITY OF ACCESSORY PIECES, ETC. Four Stars May 30, 2017 Great product for the price. Unfortunately the bits aren't of the greatest quality but great for a starter set. Quality matches price! July 12, 2016 Very good drill for beginners! Comes with almost everything you need for a low price! I've had it for several months now and the drill works better than expected! Not the best quality, but the quality definitely matches the price! | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 15% Great for a cheap set! Bad if looking for high quality. November 5, 2017 The current, 11/5/2017, 3/5 rating review couldn't be more accurate. These tools are enough to do the job, but the socket holder/storage case it comes with is just low quality. Most of the sockets do not fit "just right" they have a little extra wiggle room - relative to the wrench that they are supposed to attach onto. Which is quite amazing seeing as sockets are literally designed to fit certain bolts, so you'd think it would be easy to design the connection point between the wrench and socket. Well, in this case, you'd be wrong. However, for a small set for someone that only deals with sockets minimally, this is a very good deal. If you want something high quality that you'll use often, go elsewhere or you'll just be wasting time trying to make everything work right. Good and no good May 23, 2017 I guess you get what you pay for. The wrench sockets are fine butcher tool itself wrench it doesn't hold the sockets they don't snap in place the just go in and hang loose. The screwdriver handle plastic broke off at first use. I will regiment this box if you just need some missing sockets. Not to be your to go tools. Good cheap backup set. breaks easily. But cheap! August 26, 2016 You have to know that for this price, these are a backup or starter set. These are cheap, and will work for small projects, but will not stand up to serious automotive or motorcycle repair. The sockets will split on rusted or high torque bolts. The socket wrench is junk too. That being said, it is still a good price for just the sockets to fill in for small jobs. Case is fine as long as you don't throw it around to ... January 17, 2016 Case is fine as long as you don't throw it around to much. The wrench which I feel should be the most important piece of the set and it is garbage.. luckily I more less order this for the socket sizes and small exstensions. Which is actually pretty fair quality. I have an extra wrench lying around somewhere. Might as well throw that in this box. Haven't had a chance to try the screw driver. But the handle feels all clammy as well. I'd suggest going out to home depot etc and buying a nice wrench set. | 9% Lacking part June 4, 2017 The box is ok.but when I opened the box,I found the package was already separate and the smallest blue one is lack. I found every corner of the box but there was nothing left. I Don't know how to refund or replace as I am learning the language. Ok April 1, 2017 Not what we expected; they were a but small but not a fault of the seller. We should've read the description I prefer when they're nice and sharp March 1, 2017 The Phillips tips are a little too smoothed over. I prefer when they're nice and sharp, for better purchase in the screw head. Fine screwdrivers, non-euclidean holder October 16, 2016 Decent screwdriver set, but the rack they include with it is one of the most poorly-designed things I've ever come in contact with. It's like... breathtakingly bad design. It needs to be seen to be believed. They could taped the screwdrivers up into a huge ball of duct tape with the heads poking out and it'd still be more useful and easy to access than what it comes with now. The screwdrivers work. It's just... weird... that they send you this extra thing you have to spend ten minutes figuring out how to open once then throw away. Just OK October 12, 2016 This set does not seem to fit the screw heads (yes, verified proper size) very well. There seems to be a slight gap and they do not feel comfortable to use for us. Otherwise, they work OK for most things. Just not going to be my go-to set when a lot of torque may be required. We will stick with our Husky or Craftsman set for now. | 11% Good so far, missing/duplicate pieces, bits not held well in case September 19, 2016 I haven't tested it on anything yet, but I will update this review when I do. When it came in, the box rattled. Opened it up, most the pieces were loose. The screwdriver bits had all fallen out of their locations and were bouncing around in the case. One star taken out. Next, there're no clear instructions, and it doesn't include a diagram of what all the tools are. Three different sets of drill bits. I didn't take out a star for this, it's basically just an annoyance to anyone who doesn't know what each particular bit is (like me, what's for drilling wood, metal, or what's the 3rd set for?). The second star was taken out because one of my drill bit sets doesn't have a 1/8" drill bit, it has two 3/16" bits instead. Whoops. Kinda sucks because I finally decided I needed a drill because I needed an 1/8" hole drilled...Update: it drilled 3/16" holes in aluminum well. I had to use the smallest bit first and work my way up to my final hole size, but i don't know if that's needed for any drill or if it's just this one. I'm going to keep the rating at 3 stars. Still good product April 26, 2015 It was on time but pieces are all over the place when you try to pick it up and move it, all in all its a product that works but the carrying case is horrible made | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 9% Rats,Chet. December 25, 2016 Got this for son's 1st tool box. Sockets OK drivers ok but ratchet loose in handle and likely to break so took that back and will simply replace it. At this prince point not worth worry/hassle return. Handle was stout enough but ratchet DOA. You get what you pay for May 28, 2016 The reviews are pretty accurate. The ratchet broke the second time I used it, but the sockets are still usable. I think I paid $11 for this set, so I didn't expect much. Also, I already had a ratchet and just needed the sockets, so everything worked out. Quality consistent with price March 14, 2016 While the price is right, particularly with Prime, the quality is very low. If you're looking to do basic household assembly, such as putting together furniture, etc., then this kit might suffice. However, I was able to break the ratchet by hand while working underneath a Honda. In a confined space, I was literally able to push hard enough to strip the gears in the ratchet. So, if you're hoping to use this to do anything remotely mechanical or automotive-related, I suggest you look elsewhere. Disposable sockets! October 16, 2015 I thought I would beat the system and stop buying single sockets as I find new size bolts in my car. I got this set and had one halfway strip out on the very first use. The only reason I'm not returning it is because the connections held so poorly the 10 mm fell off into an engine at the scrap yard. If you need something with a lot of sizes for some short-term work, go for it. If you're planning to use them more than once, go elsewhere. The 1/4" screwdriver-shaped handle is a meat idea though. Not A Good Value December 22, 2014 This is one of those "you get less than what you pay for" socket sets. The case doesn't hold the sockets in place when closed, and the ratchet wrench has very loose mechanism - hard to turn knob, then easy to turn next try - not great construction. It is a good emergency socket set. For frequent use or when it has to work every time - pass this set. The good thing is it has very small sized sockets that you don't find in other sets. | 5% In this case, you get what you pay for ....... September 8, 2017 Purchased 2 sets: one for me and one for my wife. Some of the Phillips screwdrivers don't fit properly into the top of the screw...and it feels like it's stripped. Certainly wouldn't purchase them again. If we kept the packaging, we'd send them back. only the flatheads are worth it... August 9, 2017 what material are these drivers made wood.... the bits on the Phillips are complete garbage drive one screw the bit gets eaten up most of the time they cant even move a screw the only ones that seem to work are the flatheads even though their paint starts coming off... Screwdrivers OK, Wall Bracket Useless July 2, 2017 I thought the wall-bracket was a great idea, until I tried to use it. Either the cryptic instruction sheet is useless, or I can't figure it out. But basically the screwdrivers rest on top of a slipperly plastic shelf. There is nothing holding them in, like a clip. So if you slam the door, they all fall off and onto the floor. If you are buying this thinking it will sit well on your wall, forget it, or plan to rig something else up. Not a tool; more like a toy May 29, 2017 Not what I expected from Stanley. These screw drivers are for kids Two Stars March 19, 2017 The Philips head screwdrivers are terribly designed. Overall they are cheap and are extremely fragile. Should not buy again. | 10% Spend the money and buy the Black & Decker or Dewalt October 20, 2017 Look, I’ll be honest here. I read the reviews and expected as much, so I’m not upset or regretting the purchase, but this is not the tool you want. It’s neat that it aimed with so many parts and bits and you gotta love the price, but the negative reviews are right. The case is cheap and doesn’t hold the bits and starts to dent and bend with the slightest force. The bits are BAD. I’m glad I have my own extra because man alive are they bad. They are so soft. I’ve been using this drill for maybe five minutes and the bit is a wreck - see video. I bought this for convenience sake to “upgrade” from the sissy drill that came with a home set, but with the exception of the size and power and extra bits, this wasn’t much of an upgrade. Just more junk for my money. It serves my purpose, but if I get the opportunity to buy a REAL drill and set, I’m chucking this toot-sweet. Main drill works fine, but I end up snapping a drill bit ... November 11, 2016 Main drill works fine, but I end up snapping a drill bit almost every week with only light woodworking use. Also, the holding case isn't great. I used this twice today to hang 2 pictures. ... January 20, 2016 I used this twice today to hang 2 pictures. The attachments are so cheaply made I broke 2 Phillips screwdriver ends. Two Stars December 29, 2015 The drill bits broke already. Cheaply made so stay away from this product! | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 29% Only useful for melting down and using the material to make ... May 15, 2017 Ratchet broke during first use. Very poorly finished sockets. Only useful for melting down and using the material to make quality products, unless the material is also bad. Not worth the price. Thin/weak sockets. Buy something else. April 3, 2017 The sockets are inferior. They tear if too much pressure is applied to remove a stuck bolt. Buy something else for any heavy work. Beware, the sockets strip out real fast. February 17, 2017 Beware, the sockets strip out real fast. I needed something cheap but the quarter inch socket I was using lasted about a day. A few uses and bingo it stripped out. Defective from the start. November 12, 2016 The sockets seem good enough but the ratchet is worthless and is already loose and wobbly right out of the box. Also, the box will not keep the pieces in place. If you just lean it to one side it all falls off and you have to rearrange it all every time you want to use it. Absolute Junk May 31, 2016 Absolute Junk !!!! Rachet WILL NOT lock Yellow tool apart on first usage YOU EXPECT POOR QUALITY WHEN YOU BUY CHEAP BUT THIS IS CRAZYI bought this or one small repair on mobility scooter and could not even loosen one 1/4 inch bolt. I had to go to Walmart and buy a cheap Stanley set which worked fine This set is totaly useless and worth less #1 Seller? Worst Socket Set Ever! January 19, 2015 #1 Seller? Worst Socket Set Ever!! I'm always hesitant about products that have just as many 5 star reviews, as 1 star reviews. Who's right?? Well... I don't have any idea what the 5 star reviewers are talking about, because this is the crappiest item I've ever purchased on Amazon. None of the 1/4 inch sockets stick onto the ratchet, or the screwdriver, leaving half the set completely useless, unless you have another ratchet. Also, the sockets don't lock into the case. They're all loose, so unless you hold the case perfectly level all the time, the sockets with shift around in the case, and become disorganized. STAY AWAY!!! | 6% These tools actually look like something from not a 3rd world September 14, 2017 Junk. These tools actually look like something from not a 3rd world, but 4th world manufacturing country. How do you mess up the Phillip ends of a screwdriver making it difficult to match a standard Phillips screw. The handles are MICKEY-Moose small and difficult to grip. I wouldn't give these a 5 yr old son unless you want him to be void of using tools the rest of his life. I'll had this to my JUNK(bucket)-List. I don't know how amazon recommended this screwdriver set July 25, 2017 I don't know how amazon recommended this screwdriver set. it is bar none the worst set of screw drivers I have ever used. The flat heads all began to flake/chip and lose their coating as well as some tips broke in half. The cross recessed heads (Phillips) slip like crazy and are borderline useless. I have never been so disappointed with a cheap tool purchase before. I'm sure harbor freight has better quality for cheaper. I use Pratt-Read at work and the quality is not even worth comparing. I will be attempting to return this cheap screwdriver set. When did Stanley go bad. Very low quality July 5, 2017 Junk already striped out. Does not have full Phillips bit but a poorly milled attempt Broke another one last night. the box they came in was big but was really bad was that they were not secured in a box ... June 23, 2017 Was supposed to get ten and only received 9...the box they came in was big but was really bad was that they were not secured in a box themselves or tied to anything. They were scattered on the bottom of the box that had my other orders in it as well. I guess the saying is true that you get what you paid for. Couldn't even leave seller feedback because this was a add on item and it didn't give me the option for just this set. Am not impressed but not going to send them back because it would literally be a waste of time Do not buy this cheap screwdriver set December 10, 2016 The tip of the medium flat head screwdriver broke while I was using it and shot off a piece that was about 1/4"x1/4'. It nearly hit me in the eye. Spend a little more money and get some higher quality tools. Even if this hadn't happened, I still wouldn't like this set, because the handles are too round and smooth. You can't get as good of a grip on them as you can with traditional screwdrivers. | 15% This is only good for hanging pictures on the wall October 3, 2017 This is only good for hanging pictures on the wall. If the job is anymore difficult than that this drill will give up on you. I bought this for my fiance. The drill barely ... May 25, 2017 I bought this for my fiance. The drill barely works now and the charger broke and he has barely used it since I bought it. Haven't had it for even a year and it doesn't work at all now. Very bad January 21, 2017 This drill doesn't work . Can't even make a small hole in a wall . Has no enough power . It's made for cartons and paper boxes maybe .
