Great fun!
March 20, 2017
Actually 4.5 stars. See my final sentence. We received our Joola midsize table tennis table four days ago. My husband and I are around 60 years old each and got it in order to keep active, which it has proven to do; no more vegetating on the internet/ watching TV for hours on end (when we’re not at work or out hiking.) Neither of us has played in years. We played three different sessions during the first day. It was so fun that we couldn’t bear to stop. We’ve yet to play doubles. The table is noticeably smaller than regulation size, but we feel that it makes the game a bit more challenging, having to be somewhat more precise in where we place the ball. Other than that, the table is wonderful. The net is taut and easy to attach. The hardness of surface causes the ball to bounce as well as any table we’ve ever played on and it’s level. We received it by mail, a day late due to unforeseen trouble with the carrier. The box had a puncture incurred when under transport and has openings serving as handholds for the mail carrier, so that it was lucky that the bolt, screw and washers for one end of one leg which had come loose hadn’t fallen out, but stayed in the box so that I was able to reattach the loose leg with tools I had on hand at home. I would advise the company to make sure all the bolts and screws are properly tightened before boxing the table. Perhaps a bit thicker cardboard could be used for the box, as well, to avoid punctures. There was a minor scratch or two on the underside of the table which are not visible when the table is in use, nor do they have any affect on how the table functions. The size is perfect for our little home. It’s good that it’s in two halves, so that it is easier to deal with when setting it up or putting it away, both of which are done within 5 minutes – I would say it takes only about 3 minutes. I can do it on my own with no trouble, though it is advised always to use two people to lift the table into the upright position; I’m 5’4” and no weakling. It is good that half of the table can be used as a card table, and that we’ll be able to use the table when we have more guests than our small dining table accommodates. If it weren’t for the loose leg and scratches from transport when being mailed, I would give this table five stars.
Excellent table! Great purchase!!

Excellent ping pong table. Easy to setup and to move around the house. Table top is solid and provides great bounce action. Play a few minutes every day with my 14 year old and love it. Feels pretty similar to a full size table. Incredible quality for the price. Highly recommend this product!
For us, a Perfect Solution
October 12, 2016
We ordered the JOOLA midsize table so we could reclaim our kitchen table for eating. Success! The JOOLA table arrived on time and packaged well. Absolutely no problems. It was simple to set up. I found each of the two table pieces to be surprisingly heavy/sturdy. I would characterize it as a midsize table with full-size (recreational) quality. Within minutes we were playing. My children (11 and 7 years old) quickly commented on the look, feel, and sound of playing on a "real" table. I was not sure how well the net supports would connect the two table pieces. Though simple (the screw-together supports you'll see on many recreational tables), this has worked well. The pieces are staying together as I would hope - no slipping apart. As for the size, the table is exactly what we expected and fits beautifully inside our home. When needed, we simply loosen the net supports and we have two pieces that easily fold up and fit in the back of a walk-in closet. If you're looking for a smaller/midsize table for indoor play, I highly recommend the JOOLA midsize table tennis table.
Well Built - Solid Table
September 10, 2015
I'm really impressed. There was some chatter about quality on some of these smaller tables but zero concern here. Very solid construction. Really dig it.
Well served!
March 25, 2015
Really a great little ping pong table! I got this for my kids for Christmas, and was genuinely surprised by the build quality and materials. This is definitely going to last for years, and works perfectly in the limited space we had. Really easy to break down and put away, although it's heavy - quality materials = heavier than you'd expect. I've played ping pong all my life on a lot of different tables/surfaces, I've seen tables that peel/crack, don't bounce right, etc - this one is a winner.Update - January 2017 - this table still looks and works great. I take it down and set it back up a few times each year, and I even load it in the back of my truck (carefully) and take it on vacation to a rental house for a week every summer. Holding up great, no chips or peeling. I did lose a couple of the rubber feet, had to 3d-print some replacements because I couldn't find anywhere to buy the parts, so make sure you don't lose them!
Awesome if you don't stink!
January 10, 2014
It is sturdy, easy to put up and then put away/store. It has a nice flat/thick top that has a nice bounce. It fits easily in the living room. But it is small. If you play ping pong like a catnipped feline trying to swat swooping birds out of the air you will miss the back of the table every time with your shots. On the plus side, playing on this was excellent training for my son and I before we visited his uncle's house, where our newfound accuracy led to our complete domination of the family Christmas. A full side table was like putty in our hands. So this would be a good training tool if you are not yet at Forrest Gump levels of play.Because it comes apart, we've also had fun pulling the sides apart and playing ping pong that way, like the halves are islands in the old floor-is-lava game we played on the furniture as kids. Different and compellingly ridiculous way to play.Because the halves separate and are totally sturdy, this is also an excellent table for the following things, which we've used it for in our house: Axis & Allies - the 2-game entire world edition, card games or board games or puzzles that you want to do near dinner time when the dining room table must be cleared for action, Jenga-like games that might dent lesser furniture. I imagine you could use it as a table for all sorts of other things, too, if you had more varied interests/were much less nerdy than my family. There have been shipping worries expressed in these reviews. It came in perfect condition for me, but because I was worried I had Amazon call me and they assured me I could return it without shipping charge if it was dented or cracked. If you are also worried, contact them.

I bought these for me and my 9yr old daughter and these are great to learn, they look of good quality.
Good set for the price.

Good paddles for the price. I'm not a pro or anything so these cheaper paddles work fine for amateurs.

Getting them out of the packaging was challenging, but the quality of the rackets is good for our teenagers.
Best for beginners
November 29, 2016
This is my first product feedback on Amazon.I loved this ping pong set as this is what I wanted for as a beginner. I have used it more than 20 days over last two months and it hasn't broken yet/wore off. Over the time I unintentionally banged it few times against the table side and still no issues.I would certainly recommend it to all entry level players. Once you get comfortable with your game, you will realize that it is not what would be preferred by a skilled player (very well aligned with product specifications). I might use it for few more months before I move to the next level.
Great Paddles, Great Balls!
February 20, 2016
The paddle themselves will definitely change your game play. I tend to want to kill the ball with the less padded paddles and they never give the correct spin and go far whereas these paddles allow for power and spin shot combos. They also come with great playing balls, much better than the average store bought balls. Very impressive set and would highly recommend for competitive game play.
Holds up to many hands
December 23, 2015
Just ordered and received a new ping-pong table http://www.amazon.com/JOOLA-Inside-Table-Tennis/dp/B002HWNVZK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1450937345&sr=8-2&keywords=ping+pong+tableDidn't realize that we needed to purchase the paddles separately, so back to the drawing board. I need something that would hold up to daily use but wasn't going to break the bank. This is set was exactly what I was looking for to withstand the many kids from the neighborhood that would be stopping by to play. So far, so good! The paddles hit the ball swiftly and glide to the other side with ease.

Introduction:I purchased this table tennis set to make use of the ping pong table at work with my coworkers.Pros:It comes with everything you need when you first start playing (besides the table itself).4 paddles and 3 balls are included. You have spare paddles if you're just playing with a friend and spare balls if any of them break. The paddles and balls work as expected.Cons:The paddles are cheap quality. The wood is light/cheap. The rubber is cheap and the glue can peel off on the sides a little bit. Adding spin is not easy but can be done. The balls are 1 star quality. The balls stink really bad if you tear them open. Conclusion:I think this set is a perfect beginner set and I was completely satisfied with my purchase. If you are intermediate to expert level, you will not be happy with this set. Buy higher quality paddles and 3 star balls instead.
These are Stiga"s low end paddles.
December 1, 2014
I ordered this set for my kids. On receipt it was obvious that STIGA had made these very inexpensive paddles to meet a low price point. At the time I ordered them they were only $12.35 for 4 paddles and 3 balls. As usual you get what you pay for (and inexpensively made set). I will suggest that you spend a little more and buy the better quality model STIGA Performance Table Tennis Set (ASIN: B00345XX5W). They are currently $29.99 for a set of 4 paddles and 6 balls. Stiga's customer service is second to none, if you have a problem they will make it right, and that is why I am giving them a 5-star rating.
Thin paddles but great value - Some loved it some didn't, I did
September 6, 2014
There were a great value for the price. Obviously these aren't top of the line paddles. I liked how I could feel the impact of the ball on contact with the paddle.I play at work. Bought these for everyone to use. Some people liked the paddles and other did not. I loved them. But I also loved the next grade up which is what I bought when these went missing. Then 2 of these showed back up again. Go figure. The upgrades went missing and i use these to this day. Bought another set of the next quality up but I have them sitting my my locker until these go missing again. I would buy these again for the price. For new players, you really can't go by our reviews all that much. You really have to use it and see if you like the way it feels. Even if you don't like it after you get it, I don't see how you can not say it is not worth what it costs. Most experienced players probably wouldn't not like these paddle though. If you are experienced, I would say get the 29 dollar set. They have more padding.
does the job, has held up to childs play

Good value for price, no one is a professional. lots of children have used them and they have still going fine after 5 months. No issues, padding has not come unglued as some report. They are as advertised, inexpensive Table Tennis Paddles

Buy new and youll be happy you did!
June 4, 2017
1st table was "used like new" arrived in horrible condition. Had to return, it was unusable.2nd table was new, came in great condition and was really easy to set up. The table is wonderful, takes getting used to the smaller size but the build quality and portability makes it a real treat use. The portability is great too, easy to transport and use somewhere new.
Great Smaller Table
June 1, 2017
Other than getting the table out of the packaging (lots of tape) set-up was very easy. It really is two pieces as shown in pictures, and this makes set-up and tear down easy. We do not have lots of extra space to leave it set-up all the time. Playing on the table is interesting since you have to slow it down some when playing the shorter and narrower table size. I see it as a skill sharpening tool so I can beat the pants off the other players at the community play area on the full sized tables.
Good for the price and very easy to assemble
May 20, 2017
The table arrived with the top peeling off one of the corners, but it seemed too small of a defect to go through the hassle of returning something so large. The assembly was super easy. And it's a neat function that the two halves can be used as stand-alone tables.I do wish someone would make a table that's somewhere between this tiny one and a regulation-sized one. But it's still fun to play on — I guess we'll just work on our short game!
Great for an apartment!
October 10, 2016
This table works great for its size. It is perfect for an apartment. It is a fair amount smaller than a regular table but you can definitely play a competitive or recreational game on it no problem! The fact that it can also be stored incredibly easy is great! Also you can set up half of it and use it as a card table or as an extra table for entertaining. This table is very functional and a great option if you do not have the space for a regulation sized one in your apartment!
Great Table for Rallies and Small Spaces with Bonus Features!
August 12, 2016
Midsize is good for small areas. The net has some issues with maintaining its integrity and tightness. Playing on this table is certainly a defensive game. It is hard to hit winners or any type of slam. If you need practice with defense, backspin and touch this is a great table. I am hoping that when I switch to a big table my accuracy has improved. You cannot beat this table for setup. It is ready to go out of the box, so that is a huge bonus. Be careful with the rubber bottom pieces though, they can pop out easily when you move the table. All in all, this is a solid purchase if you have a small space and want to have some fun competitive games.BONUS USES: Beer pong is probably a good game for this table. Also if you are needing a party table you can split these into two serving tables, and use them to hold drinks, food or party supplies. I suggest using a plastic table cloth so liquid does not leak through and compromise the integrity of the surface.
Smaller, lighter but just as much fun
May 9, 2015
This is perfect for people who have limited space or who cannot manage moving a larger heavier table. The table arrived on time, was packed well, and was easy to set up. We were playing within minutes of unboxing. You can adjust the tension on the net by moving the posts farther apart or closer together. Although the surface is thinner than a professional surface, the surface looks, feels and plays well, and ball bounce is more consistent that we expected. It takes a little time to get used to playing the smaller table, but it is just as much fun. We found that it works best to stand back from the net about the same distance as if you were playing a regular size table. So although you are standing farther from the end of the table, it allows you to hit and place balls comfortably.

Great value but the balls leave marks on the table
September 30, 2016
This is a great value for the set so thus 4 stars. I knocked off one star because the balls left marks on my new Joola ping pong table. Joola was not too helpful with suggestions for how to clean up the ball marks without messing up the paint. So be aware if you really value the look of your table, these balls will leave little circle prints all over your table.
Great paddles for the price
February 6, 2016
Great paddles for the price. Awesome spin and padding is thick, extra foam is great. Seriously, for price, this is a great deal. It's 40 bucks at Dicks Sporting Goods, so good job yet again for amazon. Only complaint, and minor, is the paddles are light, probably the reason so affordable. But i'll trade the weight for the padding and spin.
Compared to Killerspin JET300 and Butterfly Flail...
February 1, 2016
Decent set for the price. These don't spin or control the ball nearly as well as a Killerspin JET300, but they are also much lighter than that paddle. I think both the Killerspin JET300 and the Butterfly Flail paddles are much better than these, but my teenage kids like these best because they think the Killerspin JET300 is too heavy, and the Butterfly Flail is too fast (too easy to hit the ball long) for their taste.

June 15, 2016
These are ok for the casual game, but I'm not a casual player. So can't recommend it. If you have a bunch of drunk friends playing in the garage while holding their cups of beer, then yes, this is plenty good. But if you're going to have a competitive game, definitely get something better. BUT, I purchased it exactly for the causal player that comes to visit, that way I don't have to lend them my good expensive racket. So it is performing as expected.

Lemon?
September 15, 2017
Box looked resealed. Inside, bolt and nut and three washers belonging to one hinge were loose in the box (all other bolts were installed). One table leg slightly dented and bent. Bottom of one half of table scuffed (superficially). Overall, materials look very good, workmanship second rate (brackets for table legs look slapped on haphazardly). After seeing all the positive reviews and being pleased with the quality of the materials, I'll be returning this for exchange, assuming this particular table is not representative of what is usually sent.

Good option if space is limited.
April 9, 2017
It takes some getting used to this smaller size. But if space does not allow for full-size, it is a nice option. I like that it pulls apart into 2 game tables. If you can do full size, would suggest you do that. If not, and want versatility, this is a nice option, but it really takes a while to adjust your play to the smaller size
Fun to play, good size, needs better QA
November 24, 2016
Pros: good size to play in the living room, easy to move, fairly stable, surface good looking. Fun to play.Cons: 3 screws that hold the frame to the top fell out. It turned out whoever assembled the table stripped the screw holes. Even though it doesn't affect the function of the table, it just shows QA is not the best. I chose not to return...too much hassle.

August 6, 2016
My family and I like the table tennis table and took awhile to get used to the smaller size than a regular sized table. I would of given it a worse star rating for the paint job. There are many small painting blemish dots everywhere. They are more visible to the eye than taking pictures of them on an iPhone. I would wish that the seller would contact me regarding this. If it was not for the painting issues (I actually tried to clean them up with a weak solution of vinegar and water) it would certainly get a full five stars.
Damaged during shipping
June 19, 2014
Had a similar problem to others in that two of the corners of the table were damaged during shipping - not bad enough to bother with the hassle of returning, but not what you expect when you buy a new product. Otherwise, the table is as advertised in other reviews - noticeably smaller than a full-sized table, but a good option for people with limited space.

I have only had these a short time and they are already coming apart. The red and black are lifting significantly at the top. I suppose I can glue them back but it may mess up the performance. I am not satisfied and would not recommend or buy again.
Paddles are not great.
July 20, 2017
Decent deal but even with a heavy duty cover on my table the rubber part is still lifting and bubbling from the heat or something. I've only had them 2 months and I can tell they won't last long. The balls all function fine so I rated a 3 instead of a 2.

Paddles for beginners or kids but they are very cheap and will split if used alot
April 3, 2015
These paddles are great for kids or beginners but they are not made for play that is above the beginner level. After using the paddles for a while one of the paddles split apart, I was able to glue the parts back together but it was not the same.
Nice balls, poor paddles.
February 11, 2015
Balls are great quality, but the paddles are very cheap. These paddles are very "soft" and light and do not provide the player with a lot force in hitting balls. These paddles would be great for older family members or young children who want a slower game, but these are not "performance" in any sense. In fact, the play is quite slow with these paddles. However, the balls are quality and have adequate play with some real "performance" paddles.

Average paddles
December 28, 2015
These ping pong paddles are sturdy and the pads seem to be securely attached. The downsides I see are that some of the paddles have rough handles- as if they weren't sanded well enough in the factory (so we had to sand them ourselves), and the handles also seem about 1/2 inch to an inch shorter than others we have played with, which has given a few of us blisters where the end of the handle dug into our hands after playing for an hour. Not bad, but not the best ever. Ping pong balls are standard and I have no complaints about those!
So far okay
May 28, 2015
So far...okay. The table tennis paddle fits well in my hand and we had fun playing with the set although the 1-star ping pong balls are not very bouncy. While I appreciate having some free balls with the set, it's really annoying that they are not great quality. Do yourself a favor and buy the tournament quality 3-star balls along with these paddles.
Cheap and cheaply made
September 8, 2014
I got these two rackets because I noticed there was no padding at all under the rubber surface. Which in my case is exactly what I want. I'm not using this for standard ping pong, I'm using it for a different game that my office has created which is similar to racquetball. Only reason I give this 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 is because the quality of the construction of the rack itself is extremely poor. The wooden frame is more along the lines of balsa wood which is fine but if you hit the paddle on the table it breaks really easy. it would probably be fine for most ping pong play, but if you have kids or if you're looking for a crap at all it's probably going to take a little bit of a beating over the next few years. This is really not the right choice my paddle broke in about 2 or 3 games the other one has been lasting longer because I've been careful to be gentle with it but it looks like it is going to break soon.all that being said, it is very very cheap, so you could just get a few of these and just replace them as they break. The rubber on the front is the standard cheap ping pong paddle rubber, provides sufficient spin, or at least as much spin as one would expect from a paddle with zero padding. if it wasn't for the fact that these are so darn cheap I would have given it a 1 or 2 star rating, but for the price that I paid for these it's pretty hard to complain too much about it

... for a visit (he's 11) and thought we might enjoy using while he was here
June 21, 2017
I ordered this as my grandson was coming for a visit (he's 11) and thought we might enjoy using while he was here. It came out of the box with 4 screws missing (one of them was wedged up into the packing tape that sealed the box) and the other three were just loose in the box. I've tried to screw them back into the metal frame but they're all stripped and one is bent so will need to make repairs.Additionally, the table is just too small. For very young kids, it's probably fine but for adults, it's a struggle to keep a decent volley going.
Where is my Net?
February 28, 2017
The box appeared to be beaten and previously opened. It also did not contain the Net and Posts as listed in the contents. I ordered new and it appears to be used. If I could be sent the net and posts that go with this product I will keep and enjoy. Otherwise I did not get what I paid for and will return it.

Medium size is good. 2 separate tables is nice to store. Came broken, leg detached and dented and unable to use. The legs that do open are easily closable becuase there is no lock to hold the bar down. Looks like it will collapse at any time. Box was flimsy and I don't know how it came this good.

May 11, 2016
I needed some extra paddles for if I had guests over that wanted to play doubles. I own a few nicer paddles, but it gives them an unfair advantage when playing against these stiga paddles. I would recommend this for beginner players or children who aren't serious about the game. The paddles don't have great feel and you can't put spin and power on the ball due to the rubber quality.Pros+inexpensive+comes with 3 star balls+Feels comfortable in handCons-Cheap-Aren't meant for performanceTipsIf you are buying these for a competitive game, it means all players should use these paddles to level the playing fieldI would recommend saving up and buying better paddles.

Cheap Balls and Bats.
Two Stars
July 7, 2015
The balls breaks very easily. The bat only has one thin layer.
You get what you pay for!
July 3, 2015
I was looking for a basic starter set. Paddles are cheap and not made well. Already peeling back on one of them and we only used it maybe 5-10 times total. Balls are okay but if you want good bounce, get better ones. Arrived with two out of three balls bent and unusable so I would probably not buy from this particular place again. Save the money and invest a bit more to get ones that do not fall apart so quick.
Rubber peels-off way too fast
January 7, 2015
Very disappointed. Rubber is peeling off after just approx 10 hours of playing time. We have been very careful with the paddles (i.e. not rubbing the edges of the rubber against the table or 'picking' at it with our fingers). Low glue quality is probably to blame.
I'm no pro, but...
June 13, 2014
I hardly ever review, but there's some things to know. Very low quality. Our office has this brand and they are beat up, so I thought I'd order some new ones for the guys on my team. The red and black part is not rubber like the ones at the office and might as well not be there at all. There's no cushion/grip to these for any spring/spinning. Just sayin... you get what you pay for with this.
Not Good
April 14, 2013
I had to return the racket set because the quality was not what I expected. If you don't play Ping pong regularly, this may be ok for you. But since I play ping pong on a regular basis, the design of the racket is not good enough. It only has one layer of material on the wooden structure, which means you can not do much when you hit the ball. By that I mean, it's hard for you to put some spin on the ball when you hit it. The surface of the racket feels very hard! I wanted it to feel softer.

We used the table a couple of times and then ...
September 15, 2017
We used the table a couple of times and then my husband and I picked up both sides to move it and it completely fell apart! The legs ripped apart from the table! I have a picture attached to prove it! I contacted the company two months ago and still have gotten no response!! It is apparently a very flimsy table with a high price tag and I regret purchasing it!
Arrived Broken - leg connector in 2 pieces
August 1, 2017
It arrived broken. I wish I would have purchased the one that was slightly more expensive. There is a cheap plastic part that connects the table to the legs. It is broken in 2 so the leg will not support the table. Very disappointed in the quality. It is definitely made with poor quality.
The net posts broke easily
July 7, 2017
Both of the posts for the nets snapped where they connect to the clamp. I tried to superglue but they need to be welded back on. Reached out to customer support and heard nothing back. I also tried to use posts from another table but they were too wide for the table. Then net that comes with it is not even as wide as the table so we'll have to replace that as well.Original Review:It's the perfect size for what we wanted. We can play in the (small) garage on rainy days or out on the deck on nice days. Easy to move back and forth but still very sturdy. The surface plays nicely, very even.
TERRIBLE, USED PRODUCT DELIVERED
April 17, 2017
This package arrived and it was obvious that the table was used. The table did not have the net in the package. The bottom of the table was missing half of the levelers. The screw holes made it OBVIOUS that the item was USED. Since it arrived in a package that was taped like it had been used, there is no package to return this item in. VERY DISSATISFIED for what was paid, NEED TO RETURN AND GET A REFUND, not sure how.

Product came extremely defective. Upon opening it and standing it up, it collapsed completely. One of its legs was loose and had only a bolt but no 'nut,' and another leg was completely loose and was not attached at all! On top of that, one corner was severely chipped, making it nearly impossible to hook the net onto, and the surface was scratched. Would not recommend, will be requesting a full refund (though a replacement would be nice, don't want to go through the trouble of receiving yet another defective product given the unreliable shipping).
Collapses suddenly due to no stopper to keep legs apart
December 18, 2015
This table collapses suddenly as there is no locking mechanism to stop the smaller legs from collapsing to close. I had to get two 24 inch wood to block the base of each section from collapsing. Ii fell 1 cm away from my toe.

The bat is too light and not as good as I expected. The handle (grip) is little short too. The rubber is too thin and peeling off and one of the bat's handle split(broke) from the center in just 2 weeks. I would not recommend this product even for beginners.
Not so good.
January 22, 2014
After only a few uses the rubber covering is separating from paddle on three of the four paddles. These have a four star rating. Maybe this is a bad batch? Regardless, I'll purchase a different brand in the future. Very disappointed.
Poor adhesive!
January 20, 2014
Just as previous reviews have stated - the rubber on these paddles come off WAY too quickly and easily. You would like to believe that if this item is coupled with such a nice, expensive table that the quality would match. But it does not. I would save your money and buy paddles from a local store in the event you have to return or exchange them.I have not yet contacted the company for a refund or exchange as the paddles themselves still work, but I will if only for the feedback informing the company that their adhesive needs attention!!
Poor quality
November 13, 2013
Very cheap quality rackets, probably for basic play for beginners and children. Ply and board(handles) almost unpolished with rough edges. Extremely thin sponge, almost no rubber, which is poorly glued. They should not use the term "Performance" that is nothing to do with the skill level of this racket.

bad
August 29, 2013
The rubber on the paddles started to come off. I tried to fix it with superglue, and they came off again. I wasn't looking for a pro paddle, just something that would work. These work until they break. I would not purchase them again.
