Sturdy, fast to fold up and move aside, then set up again
January 4, 2017
Have had this table for about 9 months now. My son got into ping pong at camp, and wanted a table so we could play at home. This goes in the garage, so we need to be able to fold it up and roll it out of the way when we need to get the cars in there (when it snows). So I wanted something sturdy, that wouldn't fall apart when it was moved around, and that was easy to move around.

This table has been great. It was simple and fast to initially set up. It is very sturdy and well built. It is easy to fold up and roll out of the way, and quick to set up again once we move the cars out. Very happy with the purchase.
This table is a economical no-brainer.

We finally got around to replace an old table tennis table.
How far quality and engineering has come! For me, personally, the table more solidly than a aluminum base outdoor table. Very consistent bounce.
I didn't see the need to play outdoors since every slight breeze affects play more than regular tennis.
It took less than 30 minutes to assemble. The square tube legs provide stiffness necessary for durability. It took just a little longer to cut up the shipping container for recycling than the assembly time.
Assembly does require two people to carefully flip the table over onto its carriage. But very easy, once the area is cleared for the operation.
The shipping carton did have some tears when delivered. But the cardboard is only superficial since it is backed with 1/8 inch thick paper composite material that is very resistant to punctures. All edges were supported by composite boards as well, providing good support thus, protection.
This table takes up much less storage that the old table since the legs interleave creating a small profile.
Would recommend this table from Amazon for the integrity of the shipping carton, soundness of play, ease of assembly, and sound carriage design.
Joola 1500 is a great indoor table for the money!
June 4, 2016
This is my first ping pong table in probably 30 years. You can buy more expensive tables, but if you're just casual players like us, you don't need to spend any more money and for the money it's probably VERY hard to beat this table. It's VERY solid and the workmanship is of high quality (again, for the money). Joola makes very expensive tables, but those are out of our league and again, begin casual players we're good with this one. We paid a bit extra for the shipping (via Seko, through seller dazadi.com) and the delivery people were very friendly. Do NOT go with delivery via XPO shipping company---they were rude delivery guys AND the the first table arrived absolutely trashed (so this second one via Seko/Dazadi ended up being the elixir to an ugly first experience). Amazon, if you're trolling this forum, you should note all the negatives that people have written about XPO and you should seriously consider stop using them! Anyway, I digress. Our Tour 1500 is a GREAT table for the money, and was very easy to setup (about 45 minutes with a couple wrenches for the casters / 4 T-bars with the wheels/casters. Simple. Love it! (Table) Tennis, anyone?? :)
and now that we have a house with enough room my wife and I both thought this would be a great idea to have
March 2, 2016
Haven't had my own ping pong table since I was a kid growing up, and now that we have a house with enough room my wife and I both thought this would be a great idea to have. It's been so much fun. The table is great, much sturdier than most I've played on which means it will last a long time. Not that we plan on doing strange things to the table, but it clearly is made well.

BTW - assembly was easy, but just know the table is heavy (part of being well made) so likely will take 2 people to move it from your front door to the room you want to have it in.

I have not yet had the chance to play it in playback mode but can't wait to try that out!

It's been a great purchase so far and don;t expect that to change.
Highly Recommend!

Wow, this table tennis table is fantastic! We are recreational table tennis players, and the table more than meets our expectations.
We set it up under our back porch overhang and have been playing non-stop since it arrived a few weeks ago...

~Super easy assembly. You will need two people since the table halves are heavy.
~Very sturdy. Feels like it will last a long time and withstand usage by two adolescent boys!
~Very easy to fold up for storage, wheels to wherever you want it, and folds back down when you are ready to play. One person can do it alone.
~Net is good quality and easy to attach with clamping frame.
~We like the option of the backboard position for solo play.
~Well worth the price.

Loving the ping pong sounds/rhythms and the fact that the kids are choosing table tennis over computers! The grown-ups are enjoying it too.

This is a nice table tennis set! Good quality and the balls respond well off the paddle. Much better than the old cheap pips out style. Smooth face on these is nice.
Exactly what I expected.

Very nice beginner set! Paddles are decent and will make your balls fly and bounce well. If you're more experienced and like more ball control, I'd recommend some upgraded paddles especially if you enjoy putting a spin on your balls.
OMG!

So this time I decide to The Tour 1500 is solid and quite easy to assembly
August 5, 2017
Bought this table on PrimeDay. So this time I decide to The Tour 1500 is solid and quite easy to assembly. I assembled it didn't even looking at the installment guide. However, I would suggest ask someone to help when install the table as the piece are too heavy to hold when install the screws.

Generally this table is good enough for family usage. It's quite stable, easy to move and fold. The reason why I won't give 5 star is the icon besides the real table is different than what is pictured on Amazon website.
This is a very good, sturdy table
December 19, 2016
This is a very good, sturdy table, that has stood up well to almost daily play for several months. It is quite heavy, so make sure you have help when taking it up or down stairs. The only issue I experienced when assembling my table is that one of the metal leg parts was missing a hole. I was faced with a decision: do I contact Joola and wait a week for a replacement part, or do I punch the hole myself. Impatience won out, so I can't report on the quality of Joola's customer support. The jerry-rigged part worked fine.
Good table to start with but some initial quality control concerns.
April 22, 2016
I received this table today after buying it and setting up the delivery time. The delivery company was right on time and the delivery went flawlessly. I unpacked the table and checked the screws as some of the past reviews mentioned this was a problem. I also had several of the screws backed out and some were stripped out of the particle board. The box was in good shape so pretty sure it is a joola quality control issue.

I pulled all the stripped and loose screws (about 8 of them) out and rolled them in elmers carpenters glue that I had and then hand tightened them and waited for about 2 hours and then tightened them a bit more by hand. After three hours I assembled the legs and set up the table. So far so good. I will report back on the table after a week or so after we have used it and stored it etc.

Update April 25th- We used the table pretty much non stop for the weekend. The table is very sturdy and the ball play is very good, very lively! The net setup is really nice, not like some other tables where the nets is always broken. The net has some strong clamps similar to large clothespins and you clamp them right on the middle where the two table halves meet. It works well, better than I thought it would. Once you have it together, lock the wheels and the table stays in play very well. We have left it up since we got it so I cannot yet comment on storing the halves. I am sure I will soon after my wife says something about keeping the table in the middle of the game room all the time. Overall, aside from the issue wth the screws initially, we really like this table.

Update May 3- The table continues to perform flawlessly, providing hours of fun for our family. I have added a picture of the stored setup. It literally takes 1 minute to break down and store. The halves nest together and take up very little width. After Housekeeping tomorrow, we will set it back up!
Great family table. Easy setup
March 29, 2016
Table arrived today. Super easy to set up. Maybe 20 min to put together. Kids are already down there playing. Great family table. Only knock is some of the screws on the metal frame to wood were backed out or pulled out. I replaced 6 with thicker screws to pull into the wood better.

November 11, 2015
I would give 4.5 stars actually.
Packaging was good (plenty of buffer material to protect the table edges) and table arrived without damage.
Assembly is easy - you only need to attach the castors/T-brackets - everything else (apart from net) is pre-assembled.
2 separate halves actually make for easier storage.
Surface seems good, and has a quality finish, plays well, net is good.
I'm knocking a star (1/2 star off) as I feel the castors on one side of the table seem not welded at an exact 90% angle - either that or the attachment system means the angle is not guaranteed to be straight - and because of that I had to put some cardboard underneath the wheels of one half to get the level of the table to be flat (see photo) - there didn't appear to be a way to adjust the height of the wheels..

All we were expecting! My grandsons and I played recently, for a couple days actually, and really enjoyed the equipment. I would have preferred to receive some three-star balls as well, perhaps 4 one-star and 4 three-star, so they could experience the difference between the two. Note: if they were truly beginners it wouldn't be an issue but they are already pretty good players. The equipment is excellent for the price and I anticipate many good years with these paddles.

It is a good table.
May 25, 2015
The best thing about this table is easy to assemble and I did it all by myself in less than 30 minutes. The table is two pieces separated and so it is very easy to move and store the table if not in use. My biggest concern was how I could move the table to the basement after delivery. Surprisingly, I was able to move half of the table to the basement without much difficulty. If you want a ping pong table just for fun and exercise for you and your family, this table is definitely good enough and price is reasonable. I bought it from Amazon at $412.94 (including tax) with free shipping. The table is steady and looks very nice. I am a player with a USTTA rating at 1800+ and wish I could have a better table, but this one is ok with me for practice.

Hidden damage
October 24, 2016
The actual paddles and balls seem to be fine. We are just using them for play at home in our rec room. What I was very disappointed with was that the product was damaged. One of the balls was completely bent in...like half of the ball was bent. What annoyed me even more was that it looked like someone knew that had happened and put it in the case with the good side of the ball showing, so you couldn't tell until you actually open the package and take the ball out. I'm assuming it was returned by someone and then sent to us because two of the paddles were wrapped in plastic and two were not. My kids really wanted to use them right away and not wait for me to send this back and order a new one, so we're keeping it. Just disappointed and annoyed.

What you get at this price is great. We purchased these for our community pool which has a game room including ping pong. I must admit that the kids that use these paddles are not the most skilled nor do they seem to be too concerned with handling them properly. Kids will be kids. However I would have expected that the rubber pads on the paddles would have stayed on longer than a couple of weeks. They almost immediately started to peel off and quickly got to the point of having to be re-glued which didn't last too long either. I think we will have to look for all wood paddles the next time.

January 23, 2016
I ordered the Joola Tour 1500 Indoor Table Tennis Table, and it was received with the screws not fully "screwed-in" to the back of the frame, some of them backed out 1/4" or more, and some of them falling completely out due to gravity when the table was setup. The back frame is what supports the table. The fasteners could not be tightened by the customer because the threads in some of the particle board holes were stripped-out. Due to the frame not being completely fastened down, because some of the corner fasteners were completely missing, one corner of the table had a piece of plastic trim that had cracked in transit. The other issue was that the white markers were a little scratched up on one side of the of the table. All of these defects originated at the factory because the shipping container was in perfect condition, and there was no evidence whatsoever of any damage to the box.

I contacted Joola immediately via their website to file a warranty claim, and was completely ignored...that was almost four weeks ago. I never did hear back from them. So, I initiated a return via Amazon. Amazon picked up the defective table free of charge, and delivered a replacement yesterday at the same time they picked up the first one.

By the way, I couldn't initially use the word "screws" in the initial attempt to post this review, and had to use the word "fasteners" to get this review past the automated sensor "nazi." I tried four times to post this review using plain language, no violations of their rules whatsoever with respect to language, and it wouldn't post the review when I used certain words, like "screws," interpreting them as vulgarity apparently. I had to post only a sentence or two initially, so it would get through the sensor nazi, and edit the original two sentences in order to get the real post past the automated sensor nazi. I suspect it may be why this table has five stars, and only stellar reviews. I suspect other purchasers give up posting anything with respect to "screws" not being screwed-in all the way, or screws completely missing, and they just become frustrated, and send their tables back to Amazon without any further comment. Frankly, I am so disappointed in the poor quality of products being forced upon us lately, that I stuck with it so that this post would finally display.

Anyway, the replacement table was worse...screw holes stripped out, some screws backed-out about a 1/4." There weren't any screws missing this time, and no cracked corner trim piece, but there were two other problems. First, a screw had completely backed out of one of the support arms that was supposed to be fastened to the back of the table to support it, to keep the table from sagging. It was not attached to the table, but was swinging freely, and the hole that was in the particle board back of the table was completely stripped out. So, you couldn't even tighten it up yourself. Secondly, the center brace that supports the folding mechanism on one side of the table was bent. The shipping container was fine when it was delivered, so the damage to the table occurred before leaving the factory. It would have been "ok," structurally, even in a bent condition, but you get kind of tired of ordering things and being expected just to accept poor quality control, so it's going back too. I lost all confidence in Joola's quality control, and figured that receiving two of these with the exact same problems, or worse, indicated that were I to order a third replacement, I would probably recieve a third replacement with the exact same range of issues as the first and second table.

So, I decided to send the replacement table back, and to try one of the other brands on Amazon instead. I'm going to try the Hathaway, mainly because I noticed from viewing the photos of the tables, that the center support beam is square shaped steel on the Hathaway, and it's welded all the way around, versus the Joola table, which has a few little spot welds on a thin piece of sheet metal that supports the legs of the table, which is a pretty flimsy piece of sheet metal to begin with. The Hathaway seems to have a stronger wheel base as well. For about the same price, the Hathaway seems like it'll be a little stronger. We shall see...I am in no way affiliated with any of these companies. I am strictly a consumer that got burned ordering the Joola table. I have no idea if the Hathaway will be better quality, but I hope the Hathaway will turn out to be the better product with respect to quality. Frankly, I am beginning to wonder if good quality even exists anymore.

The bottom line is, I am sick and tired of ordering products, having them arrive in such defective condition, and being expected by these manufacturers to just accept it. If they would have paid just a little more attention to product inspection before it went on the boat, this would have been a decent product for the price. I truly like the design of the table. It is very easy to open, and to move around. It plays well, and the finish on the table top is perfectly acceptable for the casual player. But, the structural defects, and poor quality control really detracted from my assessment of the Joola Table. I truly regret having to post such a negative review on a product that I really wanted to like, but I refuse to accept this level of quality. I suppose they think we'll just put up with it, defects and all, that some of us don't know the difference, and/or that some of us are just not paying enough attention to notice all the defects, and/or that we'll just blindly accept this kind of quality control. Surprise, surprise, this table is made and assembled in China. I can only think how sad it is that it has come this, and that so much of what we are offered these days seems to be the poorest of quality. But, at least with respect to this brand and model of table, you now know the true level of quality you will likely be receiving if you choose to take a chance and order one of these.

Peeling Paddles in Only Three Weeks
December 22, 2016
After only three weeks of light recreational use, the rubber is peeling off every single paddle. I realize these get great reviews; that's why I bought them. Maybe they just changed manufacturers. These are terrible. Moreover, there's nowhere on Amazon's website that allows contacting the seller. Very disappointing. (I purchased these paddles in December 2016.)
