Five Star Reviews: | 65% The perfect ankle support/brace September 20, 2017 This ankle brace has helped me be more mobile. It stabilizes my ankle better than any ankle wrap or support I think due to rigid brace on each side to prevent ankle from pivoting or moving during the healing stage. I strained Achilles tendon and it's been a challenge to walk but now I am able to walk even without my crutches but still use crutches until I feel the pain is gone completely. The first day I put this ankle brace on, the swelling decreased almost 100%! And this ankle brace is easy to put on, take off and it's comfortable. Five Stars June 19, 2017 It works well. Not sprained ankles... but for weak ankles.. They help prevent sprains.. I've seen these absolutely destroyed and the ankle fine.. April 26, 2017 My daughter the catcher found them restrictive...For every thing else? ANKLE SAVERS......I've seen these absolutely destroyed and the ankle fine...a must have Five Stars January 3, 2017 Your ankle will NOT give in these, might need a 1/2 size bigger show tho? Some do, some don't Great product! December 24, 2016 Great product for stabilizing an ankle! My daughter has hyper mobile joints, but this allows her to continue to play competitive volleyball without danger to her ankles. Great help!! August 30, 2013 I have been a basketball player since I was 5 years old (31 now)...during that time I have rolled my ankles dozens of times and even torn ligaments a few times in both ankles.Even with extensive physical therapy my ankles will probably remain weak, lose, worn out...whatever you want to call it, so the only way I can keep playing is with these wonderful ankle braces. Some might say they feel constricted, but once I start playing I don't feel them at all. I simply concentrate on my game. All other ankle braces I have tried so far (i.e. the lace-up ones) did not work for me and tape is not enough.Even with Aktive Ankle I still roll my ankles every once in a while but the braces prevent me from breaking them, which would most likely happen due to my non-existent or worn out ligaments. I have not had any major injuries since wearing these braces.I can only recommend them to anyone who has similar problems with their ankles.I probably wouldn't recommend them as a preventive measure if you haven't had any injuries yet, since they might lessen your natural stability. | 67% Great fit October 19, 2017 We bought these to replace a previous pair that we got that were too small (different brand). These fit great. And my niece said they don't slip during her games. Wet will definitely buy again when she needs a different size. Mixing is the best name in vb knee pads! April 14, 2017 Love these knee pads for my daughter. Only with there was a way to make them never stink! Work Great September 5, 2016 Knee pads are fine....my opinion is they run a little small, or maybe we should have ordered a larger size. Either way, these pads are fine, no complaints. Great Slim Kneepad June 25, 2016 Daughter wanted a slimmer style kneepad for volleyball and she has really liked this set. Has held up to 4-5 days of volleyball a week for several months now, and still going strong. it is the recommended brand of volleyball apparel May 13, 2016 My daughter has been wearing Nike kneepads for 3 years now since it is the only brand I am familiar of. I only noticed Mizuno from the volleyball club player wearing them. Apparently, it is the recommended brand of volleyball apparel. This is the first time I have bought anything of this brand. My 14-year old daughter is 5’7 in height, 118 lbs in weight and has a knee circumference of 13”. I bought the medium size of this knee-pad and it fit perfectly. It has ample padding (but bulkier than the Nike she had), which is really good. My daughter is not hesitant to dive when the situation calls for it. I had to remove/cut the white plastic tag though. It irritates her skin. I wish that, they will manufacture something that is tag-free. Other than that, my daughter is happy with this knee-pad.Now, I have to buy Mizuno shorts and shoes to compliment the knee-pads. GREAT COMFORT, SUPPORT AND DURABILITY September 22, 2015 Great knee pads with great support. I recommend them to all my volleyball players and they have never complained about them and they have never bought replacements due to them becoming too stretched.Great pads, would recommend them to any volleyball player who likes to dive.Note: If you are considering if you should get knee pads, you SHOULD. I messed up my knees playing and wish I wore them despite that they didn't look "cool" when I was in highschool. | 76% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 16% Awesome Support April 12, 2017 As advertised, I do not have to worry about rolling my ankle ever again. It provides great support for my ankles. It is a little uncomfortable to wear and doesn't fit in my shoe perfectly, but it's a small price to pay for protecting your ankles. Seems good. March 23, 2017 Father-in-law loves it. Four stars because he's not totally in his right mind and might not know better.Yes, I'm ducking :0 My daughyer said it just took a couple days to ... January 4, 2017 My daughyer said it just took a couple days to get used to wearing these. She is a club volyball player and these give ankle support; less worry of injury for Mom! Very good. October 18, 2016 My father had a stroke, so his right ankle is weak. He's been using this product and has helped him with his walking. Very good. peace of mind after an injury. June 7, 2016 Had to use this after i broke my ankle playing volleyball. After break in you don't even know its there, other than a squeak every time i walk. It does not protect against everything but the combination of roll protection, and impact protection definitely makes me feel safe. i only wish i had been wearing it before my injury. i will make sure to make my player wear these from seasons to come. Yes…but maybe no March 2, 2014 My daughter has been wearing these for several years. They're comfortable and do a great job supporting her ankles. However, they were stolen so we had to replace them. The new ones (only 3 months old) both cracked in half "/. On the plus side, the company stood by their product and replaced them. So that was GREAT! We have only had the new ones for a month so I'm holding my breath and crossing my fingers. | 16% Tight July 28, 2017 Took my measurements and it said I was a medium, they are a lot tighter than expected and kind of uncomfortable but it gets the job done. Next time I'll go for a large. Size up June 28, 2017 I bought a medium and I considered getting a small until reading other reviews. I suggest definitely sizing up because the medium turned out to be pretty tight but I'm assuming it will stretch out over time. Great product! Good For Spartan Race September 8, 2014 Used it for the Spartan Super Race this past weekend and it helped a lot when used during the obstacle where you have to crawl under the barbed wire. They run very tight so unless you have very skinny legs go with the large! Order a size up! August 10, 2013 I've been playing volleyball for two years now on the high school level (both Junior Varsity and Varsity) and I thought it was time to upgrade my knee pads. my first pair were very thick and bulky which made them very uncomfortable so that made me want to get new ones that were thinner. I saw these and thought they were perfect! The shipping was quick and they look and feel like exactly what I wanted. The only negative thing is that they are a little tight. I ordered a medium, fearing that a large would be too big but I regret not ordering a size up! So when purchasing these, its best to ORDER A SIZE LARGER THAN YOU ACTUALLY ARE!I've been trying to stretch them out by putting them around jars that are pretty wide, and that seems to be helping. Overall these are great knee pads and after I stretch them out I am sure that I will love them! Great Knee pad! January 9, 2013 I'm a volleyball coach and my own children were in need of new kneepads. I prefer the low profile type of knee pads. My girls love them. They fit great, do not slide down and give complete protection. They liked them so much I announced to my team that if and or when they are in need of new knee pads to buy these. I have placed a couple order for parents already. Great item and well priced. These are a must. Mizuno LR6 Volleyball Kneepads August 18, 2012 The LR6 is very comfortable to use and very easy to wear. It doesn't inhibit movement and doesn't limit range of versatility even during intense games. Unfortunately, although the compact size, there are sudden knee impacts that are not 100% protected. And after washing it for some time, the rubberized/gartered part doesn't keep it's shape making it loose. Because of this, there is a tendency to keep on pulling my kneepads up every now and then during the game, which shouldn't be, specially when focus on the game at hand should be on top of my attention. But all in all, the LR6 is 80% of what i have expected it to be. If only i have the budget to get both the MS1 and the LR6, i would buy them both, just to compare which model would suit be more. Kudos, though, to the forever-improving technology of Mizuno! | 17% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 8% Too much bother for me June 27, 2017 I can see how it can help some, but I found it to be too much bother. Works ok April 18, 2017 Does not work as well as we had hoped due to fit. My some has very wide feet, but the issue is how it fits in the shoe. Actually hurts his foot. Three Stars August 23, 2016 Bulkier than I expected and kinda awkward in my shoe. Probably going to return it. Sturdy, does its job, but is more clunky and uncomfortable than other braces. May 19, 2016 This brace is sturdy and appears to be built well. The design seems over complicated in the sense that while it is usable on either left or right foot, you have to move the straps around to switch feet. Moving the straps is overall, not a big deal, it just seems like it could just as easily be designed symmetrically. No complaints on the upper part of the brace, it is comfortable on the leg and doesn't feel any hotter than expected.I bought this brace because the brace I wanted, the Breg Ultra High Five, was $70 and this one was significantly cheaper. All said and done, I think I would have rather spent the extra on the Breg Ultra. The Ultra seems sleeker- I wore it for years playing sand volleyball inside Vibrams and it fit fine. Within a week of wearing this brace, it ripped my Vibrams coming out of the mouth of the shoe... This brace also has a discomfort in the arch of my foot, on the inside right in front of the heel. All in all, if you are only wearing this brace occasionally, it is acceptable, and appears to be just as sturdy as more expensive braces. However, if you are going to spend any significant amount of time in them, my recommendation would be the Breg Ultra. Does not support her ankle enough September 7, 2013 It doesn't fit her properly to support her ankle during volleyball and wont fit in her shoe. The "ankle" supports end up above her ankle - she is 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. | 8% not enoughpadding.. got the volley country ones they seem much better September 3, 2017 not enoughpadding.. got the volley country ones they seem much better Too small!!! Order up!!! August 21, 2017 I bought these in size medium but they ended up being too small, for reference, I am 5'8", 135lbs, and my measurements said I was a medium. Definitely size up or you will be feeling squeezed. Re ordered a large and it fits pretty well. Good size for children February 13, 2016 Good size for children. Instructions for sizing seem correct. Padding a little thicker than I expected but daughter said they are comfortable. Poorly Sized, But Nice Kneepads w/Good Padding November 11, 2014 These kneepads fit snug, too snug for my volleyball player. I ordered a medium for my kid who is tall (64 inches), thin (105 lbs), and 12 years old. I returned them and did not opt to try a size large as I think those too would have fit snug. Despite the poor sizing, these are nice kneepads with good padding. I am not sure what age group these would fit, but I am sure they would work well for kids in the high single digits. Mizuno Volleyball knee pads October 21, 2013 They are ok, but they rip easily. My daughter has had them for a short time, and she uses them only for games, and they are ripping already. She may have used them 5 or 6 times. | 7% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 4% Uncomfortable and loose. Rolled my ankle while wearing the brace. March 5, 2017 i used the braces on both feet for volleyball. i play middle and outside and am constantly landing wrong/landing on other people under the net. worked good for the first little while then started to become loose and i was constantly readjusting the velcro making my coach agitated. just today the middle from the other team went under then net and i landed on her foot and my ankle completely rolled and i could feel things pop even with brace on. the whole bracr twisted out of position giving my ankle no support. just ordered the ultra ankle braces due to coaches recommendation. i have also had team mates with the active ankle have them break on them and cutting their feet. there have also been girls who love them and swear they keep their leg in one piece! overall they just weren't that comfortable and the heal pad kept slipping into the middle of my foot making my feet sore. this might not happen if you have shoes with removable insoles, i have the nike hyper spikes and they do not. also took forever to put them on for a while and still takes quite a while to get them positioned right. constantly sliding the heal pad back while i play. made my legs look bulky but did not compromise movement. Two Stars July 5, 2016 Not comfortable. Plastic digs into your ankle. Didn't seem to offer much support either, even when strapped tight. Won't buy these rigid plastic braces anymore December 2, 2015 Because of their rigidity, they snap/break unexpectedly. We've gone through too many to count. Next time I'm buying the lace up versions. At first it seems like an OK product... May 13, 2015 ... But then you try it on and realize just how cheap and flimsy it is. It also doesn't seem to fit right, no matter how you adjust the straps. The hard plastic foot part is also uncomfortable. There are better products out there! | 5% Medium was too small and had to pay over $6 ... October 26, 2017 Medium was too small and had to pay over $6 to return. Won't be ordering a bigger size since I had to pay to return. Disappointing to be a prime member and have to pay to return. these pads were awesome, great support and protection September 22, 2017 At first, these pads were awesome, great support and protection. However, after using them for a short time, the pads became distorted and flat. Almost as though the pads wouldn't "inflate" in certain spots. I just purchased an Asics brand, so I will see how they compare with those. For the price, I was hoping for a little better quality. Didn't last more than 1 season. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 7% Broke after 4 months of light use... September 8, 2017 We liked these initially, but the build quality is low and they broke after 4 months of light use... Hurt to wear. June 22, 2017 Hurt to wear, return after 2 days of trying. But, I wanted to take it off, after 10 seconds. The brace dug into to the outside of my foot. Would not recommend. February 19, 2017 Strap broke after second use.Very cheap product. Would not recommend. Didn't help, now stuck with it February 4, 2016 I have post-traumatic arthritis and other issues with my ankle, and this brace didn't do any good. In fact it made my ankle hurt worse. Now that I tried it, I can't return it as the seller's policy is "unused item" only. So I'm stuck with it, a total waste of money. Two Stars May 10, 2015 the plastic foot plate broke after about 2 months of use.The second set of these splints lasted 3 months and again one broke at a foot plate. For the price I expected better quality. | 4% Very thin padding - no protection to rely on May 4, 2017 Very disappointing!very thin padding protect nothing.I bought a asics knee pad for 25% less and they give 10 times more protection. poor quality, and the return policy gave me no ... March 17, 2017 It has no coverage, poor quality, and the return policy gave me no time to return it back, and now I have a pair of kneepads that don't fit me. Disappointed in Quality January 27, 2015 I purchased these for my daughter for her school season, and despite washing (delicate cycle) in cold water & being hung to dry, they ripped after not much use. I bought a second pair (in December) for her to use for club season, which she wears for tournaments only (so far, two tournaments) and they, too, have a huge rip. We did not have the trouble with sizing that many others experienced. I have messaged Mizuno to express my disappointment.Update 2/9/15 - After sending photos of my daughter's knee pads & proof of purchase, Mizuno sent out two replacement pairs. Their customer service was great. Hopefully these knee pads will withstand regular use. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
