Five Star Reviews: | 86% Good chain - May 17, 2017 What can I say except that this chain replaces the original chain in my chain saw - the original did the job, and I have no doubt that this chain will do the same. Price on Amazon much better than purchasing locally. Worth the $ to me, always happy with them. October 25, 2016 I don't cut wood every single day or use my chainsaw for a living. Bit I've bought and used cheap chains, and bout and used good quality chains. These are always excellent quality, last a long time between sharpenings and throw large chips. Great chains for a great price! June 21, 2016 These chains are flawless on a Husqvarna 350; however, I highly recommend either buying a few chains if you're looking to drop a good size tree w/ limbs, or pick up a high quality sharpening file set... cause these will dull a bit quickly with solid usage! This is a great replacement chain for the chain saw February 10, 2016 This is a great replacement chain for the chain saw. I have already gone through a couple chains cutting wood for the winter, and this is the second time I have purchased this one. It is a good deal for the price, and lasts about as long as can be expected. chainsaw blade September 20, 2013 Chainsaw blade held up for the whole tree cutting last season. i had to cut up a few dead oak trees. usually on hard wood the blades need sharpening at least once during the season. This blade went the distance. Pretty soon i will be out in the woods again looking for dead trees. i doubt the blade will last the whole season without needing sharpening. but so far so good. | 78% Good chain that makes your saw seem new again May 30, 2017 After using the previous chain until it would no longer hold the edge I got this chain. Cuts through oak like a knife through butter. Definitely worth it. Great product. May 6, 2017 Exactly as advertised. Great product. Fits my 350 Rancher. The above review needed at least twenty words, so I hope this fills it in. Great OEM standard 20" chain April 25, 2017 This is an OEM standard chain and a good choice for most users needing this size. I've purchased a number of these for my 359. They cut well, have low kick-back. You can expect good performance and long life if kept well-oiled, out of the dirt and don't pinch it felling a tree or big branches. Fantastic Product & Seller October 15, 2016 Excellent product !! Love that we were able to order this on Amazon from the seller and have it delivered right to our door without having to battle traffic and make the 1 1/2 hour round trip just to make it there to purchase, let alone the time to locate it in the store or even checkout. The chain fit our 455 Rancher perfectly. Thanks for a great product !! Definitely will be a return buyer. Husqvarna 20" Saw Chain September 22, 2013 I've been using the Home Depot Oregon chains, this is much better. The Cut is MUCH sharper, cleaner and faster. No more HD for me. Avoid any rocks... August 24, 2013 Great chain, only takes a second to ruin it...scrape a rock and see.455 Rancher - 4 years of abuse and about 8 chains, 2 bars, 1 spark plug...still trying to break it so my wife will let me by something more powerful. No luck yet, thanks Husky. |
Four Star Reviews: | 9% Not for rancher 55!!!! April 28, 2017 Does not fit a 55 rancher. Will fit other 55 models. Amazon would not refund this product, watch what you order. 55 rancher has different configuration of teeth and links. Great value for the price! July 18, 2016 Great chains for the price. They fit perfectly and seem just as sharp and durable as the ones that came with it. I will purchase again if needed. but not the best you can get December 17, 2015 Quality chain, but not the best you can get, nor will it last as long between sharpening as other specialty chains.I've used this chain to cut through Oak, Pine, and Cedar without any issues. I had cut maybe 3 cords by the time it needed to be sharpened for the first time. Easy to start & restart and cuts through new timber ... August 18, 2014 All that has been said about it is true. Easy to start & restart and cuts through new timber like a hot knife through butter. It does have some difficulty when it comes to cutting aged, hardwood, logs. It is a good saw that will cut and idle through a full tank of gas without stalling. That in itself makes it worth buying. Replacement chain September 28, 2013 I an having good luck with this new chain, Have sharpened it a few times and it seems to be holding up fine. And the price is a couple of dollars less than I can get it locally. | 11% A Decent Chain May 24, 2016 I've got a pair of Husqvarna 455 Ranchers. They're good saws. This chain cuts well but there is nothing special about it. I can get other chains for this that cut much faster, but in return are not quite as safe due to the design. Just sharpen it with every tank of gas and so long as you keep it away from dirt and rocks it'll serve you well. Husqvarna 531300441 20-Inch H80-72 (72V) Saw Chain, 3/8-Inch by .050-Inch June 7, 2013 I've owned a few of these chains and have had pretty consistent results. I've had to replace a couple, once due to me hitting a stone on the ground when cutting felled wood and another time when the chain jumped off the bar and struck the metal safety tab on the bottom of the power head. I may have replaced one more due to wear - The one that was replaced due to wear sort of dulled rather quickly when cutting wet/green wood. I've noticed that dry/seasoned wood tends to be less "costly" on the chain. Easy to sharpen but I've noticed that the new chains definitely cut better than chains that have been sharpened (either due to my inability to correctly sharpen or maybe that's just the way it is.) |
Three Star Reviews: | 2% Does not fit my model even though the listings says it will.... plus... October 7, 2016 THIS DOES NOT FIT THE "55" AS IT SAYS IN THE LISTING. I have a Rancher 55 with an 18-inch chain and this is about 11/2 inches short of fitting. Maybe I got a defective chain, I don't know. Secondly, I now know why this chain is the price it is. It is very lightweight and would not have held up well under the type of cutting I need to do on my property. All the specs are there, so my fault for not looking at it closer. ... spare chain yet but I'm sure it will be good. November 29, 2014 Haven't used the spare chain yet but I'm sure it will be good . Know your chain saw! August 18, 2014 Great shipping, came early.. matched to the bar.. which didn't fit the saw I had Decent Price November 19, 2012 I wish I could find a chain coated with industrial diamond. At least these are not the very low kick back design so you can cut when they are sharp. | 3% Safety chain November 10, 2016 Decent chain. Dulls very quickly compared to my old chain. It is a safety chain which I wish was clearly marked on packaging. Will not be buying this again. Works great as a spare January 30, 2016 I wish I'd realized when I bought it that this was the "safety chain". Works great as a spare, which is what I wanted it for anyway, but not what I thought it was, maybe I just didn't read the description close enough. Conceptually I understand how it can be safer, but I've never had a problem with kick back using my saw, and it doesn't cut as fast. New chains always cut nicely but I am not really impressed. July 26, 2015 New chains always cut nicely but I am not really impressed by the quality. It seemed to wear and stretch more easily then the original chain. I will try another brand next time and compare. This chain may be just as good, I really don't know yet. Son installed chain on the chain saw, however, ... July 14, 2015 Son installed chain on the chain saw, however, will not stay on the bar of the saw. He will look at again this week. Homeowner Chain February 23, 2014 This is a safety chain which is too slow. The rakers are extremely large which means you would need to take a grinder to them to make this more aggressive. So unless you're an inexperienced user, find yourself an aggressive chain. |
Two Star Reviews: | 1% I received the wrong chain was 2 inches to long ... July 23, 2017 I received the wrong chain was 2 inches to long - had another package and that one was right - can't seem to be able to get hld of any one about this Soft metal, chain gets damaged easily June 30, 2015 The chain cuts well....however when the chain jumps off the guide track it gets chewed up by the gear sprocket in the chainsaw. I have gone through three chains like this. | 2% This is a safety chain March 22, 2017 I purchased this chain for my Husky 455 Rancher. I was in a hurry and just needed to put the order in... I saw the Husqvarna brand and the listing said it would fit my saw.... so I ordered it. I have a huge Maple tree that I needed to cut up so instead of sharpening the chain on my saw as I have been doing, I decided to put this new chain on the saw. When I took the old chain off (the original to the saw) I saw that it was labeled 47.... this new one is labeled 80. At the time I wasn't sure what those numbers meant. Apparently.... the H80 chain is a safety chain designed to limit kickback. Well it also limits cutting. Frankly, the old dull original chain cut better than this brand new chain. My saw originally came with the H47 chain and always cut beautifully, and while I suppose it may be a bit more dangerous, I have never had any issues with kickback. I do take precautions such as always having a firm grip on the saw and I try to keep my body out of line with the saw etc...I also wear chaps and a helmet with face shield and ear protection. I have since bought a few new H47 chains and they are like night and day over this H80.... if you are going to buy this safety chain, you may as well also buy a cheap underpowered saw to go with it because that is what it will feel like you have. Safety rakers not described! February 18, 2017 Very disappointed to see the "safety" rakers! This was not at all clear in the description. I would not have bought them... never had anything like it happen February 13, 2015 chain broke after using it for about an hour. never had anything like it happen. the customer service is great tho, i got a full refund This is a safety chain which means i won't be ... December 22, 2014 This is a safety chain which means i won't be able to file down the depth gauges when i sharpen it myself. Not what i was after. |
One Star Reviews: | 2% seems like we got a 20 inch chain in a package ... March 24, 2017 got the wrong size chain.opened it today to put on our saw, seems like we got a 20 inch chain in a package that said 18 inch, not sure if I can even return it now. Chain will come off when it heats up. For very light use only March 16, 2016 These chains come off when they heat up from use. Save yourself the headache and get a 20LPX072G or 20BPX072GThe first option is for the person who does not cut trees professionally. You will likely not notice the difference. The second one is a bit more aggressive though can cause the saw to kick back which is you do not know how to handle some thing that could cut you in half, I would say avoid the situation with out experience. Mostly never cut with the tip of the bar unless you know what it could do or play it safe and get the first low kick back version, these are not a toy and speaking of toys the Husqvarna chain in this size is junk unfortunately. Other sizes are amazing and I have cut many many trees with them with out issue for years. Two of these chains both came off in under 10 minutes when they heated up. This usually does not cause it to break though if it did, it could kill you. I have spoken with husqvarna about this and they recommended the Oregon chains and they tried to console me telling me this chain is not for professional use. I found this comment to be ridiculous in nature. horrible ....doesn't fit 445 model February 6, 2015 Horrible experience. This product says its for the 445 model on this site, but when I recieved it, it doesn't dull September 14, 2012 THIS CHAIN SAW BLADE IS SO DULL IT WOULD NOT CUT HOT BUTTER. I USUALLY DO NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT A PRODUCT. I ALWAYS SAY BUYER BEWARE. BUT THIS ONE IS SO BAD I HAD TO SAY SOMETHING. | 6% Beware that you cannot return this item if does not ... July 26, 2017 Beware that you cannot return this item if does not work. I ordered this instead of an 18 inch chain. It was never opened, but still not returnable. was prefabricated in size than ordered; I tried to ... March 14, 2017 was prefabricated in size than ordered; I tried to remove studs to resize it; but was impossible. would not buy January 8, 2016 well used it on cutting one tree and the chain broke and I wont ever buy the Husqvarna chain again cause it was not worth the money I paid Husqvarna 20-inch chain. November 16, 2014 First time we put this on our Husqvarna 455 rancher & used it, some of the teeth broke. They will not let me return or exchange it!! I am not happy at all & very disapointed!! LOW KICKBACK SAFETY CHAIN! October 7, 2011 This is a safety chain!!!!Not a standard chain! It is a special low-kickback chain, the kind with the hooked depth guides (the ones that can't be ground down after multiple sharping iterations.)This should absolutely be in the product description, this was a waste of my time.It should be noted that this is the same stock chain that comes with the Husky Rancher 455 and some others. If you are looking for that exact chain (and most people are not) than this is it. Most people have little use for these. "Rancher" or "Farm" entry type saws typically only have enough power to make kick-back a moderate concern. This same information can be read in your owners manual. What is driving this is liability. The Husqvarna H47-72 Chain Loop would be a choice for clean wood, but it needs to be noted the Husqvarna has been bought out by Pullman. So for me the ONLY real choice for saw blades is Stihl brand now. |
