I never thought having one of these would make my life so much easier. It looks exactly like the picture. The material feels rubbery and is very durable. I use it for taking my waist, hip, chest, etc. measurements when shopping online. It made buying clothes online so much easier. I also use it to measure out space in my room before buying furniture. Lets just say I never have to question whether something will fit or not (furniture and clothes wise). I keep the majority of it tied in a rubber band when I'm using it so it doesnt get too messy trying to control the whole tape. Hope this helps :)

Used it to measure my pants size (American), ring size (American, found using millimeters), besides measuring around corners (something my rigid tape measure doesn't do well for being... well, rigid).Product could use something to secure the ends better, like metal rivets. The ends have come off on me, and they might also come off for you if you don't handle the product with at least some care.

Cheap, accurate, as far as I can tell... and it's a tape measure. 'Merican and metric - a twofer! And what did it cost me, like 28 cents total price delivered? I could buy these all day for that price. Seriously - if you're fat and trying to get thin, or just need to measure any general thing around the house apart from your body, this is the thing you need. Did I mention it was really cheap, too?

Exactly what I was expecting. It's a thin vinyl (or similar material) measuring strip. It's well worth the price I paid for it. I don't think it's for a professional seamstress, but to measure something in my yard, it works great.Shipping was also as expected, based on the estimate and the other sellers feedback. It's not 2-day shipping, but it arrived well within the timeframe they claimed.If I needed another, I'd absolutely order this one.

Perfect scale. I think this would fit into anyone's home, because it is very sleek and minimalist. It looks great, but absolutely does not draw attention to itself. It weighs very accurately (I compared the weights to my doctor's scale and veterinarian's scale) and I love love love that you do not have to step on then step off every time you weigh yourself. It works very quickly as well, with no lag. I will buy this again in the future if I ever need a second scale.It is definitely important to remember that you should not use it on carpet (meant for hard, flat surfaces), and that you have to do an "initial calibration," which means that you set it down, step on it, then step off to calibrate it. Then, after the calibration, it should work as normal.The photos show bird's eye view and how flat it is (with my thumb for reference from the ground).

I don't know what all the fuss is about. We set ours on fairly level tile in the bathroom. It gave us the exact same reading for both my wife and I five times over the course of an evening.We always run the exhaust fan when showering so I can't imagine why moisture would be an issue. If we do have issues down the road, we'll be sure to update this review.Some things that may affect the precision of the device:1. Weak battery out of the box.2. Uneven ground. It's obviously not going to work well on carpet or uneven surfaces.3. Not standing on it centered. Maybe if you're really big or have horrible posture, you might be leaning back on your heels or toes or even to one side.4. Getting a lemon. I'm sure most of the internal parts that count are made in China. They aren't exactly known for their manufacturing quality control.

I LOVE this scale. I bought it recently as part of my drive to get back in shape. This has impressed me at every turn. We keep this scale just outside of our bathroom on a flat piece of (fake) hardwood floor where it doesn't get bumped around. I disagree with a lot of the cons I've seen in other reviews: every time I step on this scale, step off, and step back on I have the same results. Today I stepped on right after waking up and lost my balance, standing on it with only one foot wavering it still gave me an accurate result (I triple checked.) That's quality. It is also very chic looking..although we have this in a reasonably public place in our house it is not an eyesore or embarrassing to have. The smooth top makes it comfortable to stand on and easy to see the reading. Overall, I would definitely recommend. I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews--if that's you, buy this! For the price I don't think it can be beat.

I bought this weighing scale after a very thorough research on Amazon before thanksgiving as I tend to gain a lot of weight during holiday season.I have used (not bought) many high end weighing scales over the years. But this is the best I have used so far. The design is simple, elegant, tasteful. The electronic display is bright, clear, easily readable. You cannot use it on carpet, as the readings will be roughly 1/4th their actual value. It performs fairly well in bathroom unless you are taking 2-hour steam baths and creating thick moisture. Don't splash water on it or keep it on wet floor.Place it on flat tile and it works perfectly. The readings are accurate and the error is less than +/-0.2%. Very reproducible results. The first reading is always for calibration and the letter "C" appears within 10 seconds. Ignore it. Then mount the scale again and it will show you your weight.It comes with one battery which will last at least 3 months with almost daily use. Mine is still working although now it displays "Lo" after every use. A warning that battery will soon exhaust. This does not affect the scale accuracy. You can purchase a pack of 2-batteries for a dollar at dollar store or amazon.The product and the battery is made in China, but its high quality. Looks like the Chinese have really upped their game. The $15.95 price tag at the time of purchase made it a no-brainer.

I really like my new scale. Shipping was faster than I expected so that was a lovely surprise.It’s a soft creamy light bluish white (whitish blue?) that looks like some type of translucent glass. It’s thin. Really, really thin like the Apple Air pad laptops you see advertised. Nice. Sleek. It really is pretty and would look good in the most modern bathroom to Deco to Contemporary to Classic to Southwestern (which is what mine is). It’s a timeless design.The battery (included) pops right into the slot on the bottom. I turned it over, set it on my kitchen floor, stepped on it and just about had a heart attack. I’d gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks. Nooooooo! So I read the directions. The directions say to set it down, step on it to “calibrate” it, step off, and then step back on again. You do that each time you move it which made sense after I thought about it.Ok. I took it to the bathroom to place it in its forever spot, positioned it exactly where I wanted it, stepped on it and I lost those 5 pounds! Yaaay! I stepped on it again just to make sure I wasn’t being messed with and yes, those 5 pounds were gone! Calibrated! Just like the instructions said. Fastest 5 pounds I’ve ever lost. They stayed lost and the scale has been wonderfully consistent since then.My eyesight isn’t great but this is easy to read and the numbers are nice looking. The scale stays on for about 10 seconds after you step off so that’s nice too. I also found that you can tap the top of the scale with your foot and it will turn off automatically. That’s nice for those of us who hate to waste battery energy. I recommend this scale highly. The quality is good, the price is nice and the look is lovely.

We've had this scale for half a year now. I have had other scales stop working or working correctly after a few months, so waited to review this one. It's been 6 months and the scale is still going strong. I am currently upper 140s and my husband is upper 240s. The scale weighs both of us pretty closely to what our doctor offices weigh us at. I have used various objects to test the scale (lifting weights, gallons of water, etc..) it has always weighed them accurately. We have the scale on a wood floor. The real test (from my view point) is that it will weigh you the same minutes apart. Digital scales I've had in the past, especially as months passed, would weigh you up to pounds apart if you stepped on, stepped off, waited for it to shut off then stepped on again. This scale will consistently weigh me and my husband down to the same fifth of a pound (147.2, 248.6, etc...) from stepping on, off and back on again.Currently, I am very happy with the scale. Especially for the under $20 cost we paid. I will update if there are any future issues.

Got it for my mom who always likes to go to fabric stores and ends up measuring the kids to make them outfits lol. After getting it I almost kept it for myself because its small neat item to keep in hand or store in desk whenever you need it. Great quality, slim and pocket sized. Readable measurements. It really is a must have, you never know when you may need it!

This is certainly not 'the best' tape measuring item on Amazon; but it's really perfect for the times when you need a 'non metal' tape to measure for gloves and clothing. The problem with most of the fabric style tape measures are that they often don't use the retraction of a tool type heavy duty tape measure. This item was under $6.00 and it will definitely come in handy and not wind up tangled up somewhere.

If you're in the fashion industry and whether you're manufacturing or designing clothing, this tape measure is an absolute must have. It is of a high quality, and after much use, the tape does not wear and it's still going strong. It is very small and pocket sized, and it's very light as well. It has inches on one side and centimeters on the other. It's great, since most manufacturers from other countries (we work with a few) will use CMs instead of inches. Great for measuring the body and fabrics.

I wanted to have a tape measure around since I never seem to have one when I'm trying to measure my body dimensions while buying clothes online. This is perfect for that purpose. It's nice quality plastic, not cloth, and has a button to pull the tape back in. It has a little gap in the side where you can hook it onto something if you need to hang it, love that about it. Most of all, the price is great! This is the perfect measure for many different things.

I don't really like to shop for clothes in the store, so being able to measure myself is important in getting clothes that fit (and avoiding the hassle of shipping ones that don't fit back). I have always used cheapie plastic tailor tape measures that always seem to end up in a knot. After misplacing my last tape I decided to "upgrade" (if you can call spending $4 instead of $2 an upgrade). This is the best clothing tape measure I have ever owned! No more having to untangle a long tailor's tape measure when I want to check a measurement. Best of all when I eventually misplace it (which is an inevitability), buying a replacement won't break the bank!

I've had this for about a year. I bought it so that I could keep track of my body measurements to see if my workout routine was doing anything. The tape measure is good quality and the auto retract feature is very convenient. The end tap folds down so that you can't pull on it by accident if you are carrying it around in a purse. I have no complaints about this product.

This is a long tape measure ideal for sewing if you need something to take simple measurement of yourself I advice you to check out Dritz(R) Lifetime Tape Measure, it is shorter and does the same job

What to say about a tape measure? But it was surprisingly heavy-duty. I really expected a flimsier product at this price. Also came a lot sooner than expected.

It's great for measuring my body. My only problem is the smell of it is pretty strong and it irritates my nose.

Nice, big, easy-to-read numbers, settles quickly on a final weight. Couldn't ask for more.Edit: I am still very happy with the ease and accuracy. I have not experienced the variable weight readings that others are reporting; I get on it once, and it takes about 5 seconds to settle on a weight, and if I step back on again, it settles quickly on exactly the same weight. The only time I get any variability is when I actually move the thing, which the instructions very clearly indicate will necessitate recalibrating.The only reason I dropped this from 5 stars to 4 is that it chews through batteries like whoa. I"ve had this scale for 3 months now, and am now on my THIRD battery. You shouldn't have to change batteries in a scale every 6 weeks.

I wanted a simple scale, not one that keeps reminding me of what I used to weigh.This one is simple and I love it.One issue I have, though, is that our bathroom is really small so I have to put the scale away after every use. Every time you pick it up, it needs to recalibrate. You need to step on it and wait for the C and then step on it to get your real number. Never had that problem with my other scales.You want simple and easy, this scale is for you!

When I ordered this scale I did not expect anything amazing from it, because it is SO CHEAP... But I unboxed it and it actually looked quite nice. I have to say that I absolutely love the scale. You just step on it (do not even have to wake it with a "pre-step") and it tells you your weight. Some people complain that it gives varying readings each time they step on it, but I never had that problem (at least when I use common sense). When I move the scale, I make sure all four corner "stands" touch the floor, and then the scale reads perfectly EVERY SINGLE TIME. Some times, when I don't do a good job moving it on my slightly uneven floor, the four corner "stands" do not all touch the ground, and then the scale gives me different readings like other reviewers have stated. But that is not the scale's fault. That's my fault!!!The reason I took off one star from the scale, is because after using it for about 9 months the display did not turn on again. So I changed the battery, and suddenly all the scale displayed was "8". I could not do anything with the scale. The 8 would not disappear, no matter what I did. So I decided to contact Ozeri directly. They asked me to send them my Amazon invoice (which I simply took from my Amazon.com account) and a picture of the display reading "8". I emailed them those two things, and then received an email stating that they would send me a FREE new scale and a prepaid label to ship my non functional scale to them so they could assess and refurbish it. This entire email correspondence occurred within 36 hours. To each email, they responded really quickly. I certainly did not expect to get a new scale (nor did I ask for a new scale. I actually only asked if I had warranty, which I didn't)!!! Hopefully, the scale will last longer than 8 months, and I just ended up with a defect one the first time. I'll update this review in the future, if the new scale Ozeri is sending me gives me trouble again.

There was a 9 POUND difference between the high and the low, as well as variations between both points. I got the box and wrappings, and decided to wait until the next morning. By the next morning, it had settled itself, and is now weighing consistently. It's a bit of a shock when you first step on it - incredibly thin - no stepping up on the scale here. It's very sleek and accurate. It's also broad, so convenient. I have had other digital scales before, which need to be tapped many times before I step on, but this is NOT so. So it's great that way.The only thing is we got to be careful as it's a glass top and also, it's very thin and hence close to the floor compared to other scales, so if I have to weigh my large suitcase before travel, which is a common thing I use the scale for, I feel the sides of the suitcase would touch the floor and hence mess the reading.But if you are to use it primarily for checking your weight, it's a great scale.

It is really great... like the glass surface... looks nice anywhere...very fast and accurate.Now the not so great... and they are fairly minor:1. Battery is NOT included and should be as it is the nickel size battery you find inside computers. I was lucky I had bought a six pack at the local wholesale store... but few people have these laying around the house. As this is such a cheap part it should be included ... I understand not installing it as it might drain prior to shipping.2. This is the nitpicking one because the display is easy to read ... BUT would be nice to have it sync with an app for tracking but I have a fitness app that I can use to input the value so not a big deal.I would buy this again... or spend a little more on the one with an app. Worth the money.

This measuring tape is like my wallet. I find myself using it everywhere because it's convenient to measure with at home or when I want to look at furniture. The only thing about this is the gap of space everyone is talking about in the beginning when you pull it out--not that big of a bother to me since I prefer to see the 0 line I am measuring from. The color is also very neutral.

This tape measure is compact, light, soft and flexible. It has inches and millimeters on alternate sides. The tape material, while soft, could still be a little better quality, though I have had no problem with mine so far. I don't like that the measure does not start at the end of the tape. Instead it starts about an inch in. Overall though it is a good item and a fair price.

More color choices would be nice.That Said: This is still a nicely functioning nifty little tape measure for personal use. Would not recommend for commercial or high frequency rugged use since the case is all plastic and can crack easily.This tape measure is light weight, measures exactly 2" square and 1/2" thick. When you pull the tape out it locks in place and with a simple press of a button it retracts perfectly back inside. The tape itself is 1/2" wide - one side measures in Inches and the opposite side measures in Centimeters with large easy to read markings.NOT SO ATTRACTIVE BUT FUNCTIONS VERY WELL.BOTTOM LINE: A NIFTY, DECENT QUALITY, WELL FUNCTIONING, MULTIPURPOSE, HANDY DANDY LITTLE TAPE MEASURE.

I work as a custom picture framer. When we'd measure a customers art we'd use just a regular old measuring tape you'd find in your dad's tool box. The problem with those is that they have a metal catch on the tip and in order to not accidentally scratch photos and art brought to us we'd start our measuring at the one mark and subtract an inch since we did not start at zero. The problem with this is if we were swamped wed forget to subtract that inch and we'd order frames that were cut too big. I bought this tape measure mainly because the zero does not start at the tip. Its perfect! I pull out the length I need, line up the zero mark with the edge of the item and take my measurement without fear of scratching something. It's just as accurate as our other tapes. Would definitely buy again.

It's 60 inches in case anyone was wondering, I couldn't find that anywhere before I ordered it. I'm a little concerned the spring used in retracting the tape could wear out quickly as it's got a fairly weak, jerky action, but it still works so far.

This a a good bathroom scale. it has to be reset and started this reset thing about a month into owner ship but it does still work after resetting. so i have not replaced it I just get annoyed every now and them .

I was looking for a white scale to go in my bathroom, hopefully with a glass top and based on the pictures this really fit the bill. Simple, clean and fairly cheap.What I got though was more of a sea foam green scale, in some lights it looks a little whiter but I would definitely not call it white like in the description. The color is mostly due to the glass they used. The backing is I'm sure white but I think the glass they used just has a greenish tint. Definitely not what I wanted.It also seems like it may give bad readings, so far the couple of times I've used it I've seen low readings the first try then on subsequent readings a slightly higher reading that is repeatable. This really worries me about the quality of it, I'm recording every weigh in so I'll update this review if I find anything new.

It was a good product while it lasted, but randomly shattered into a million pieces during a day of summer heat. Obviously this was super dangerous and scary. Keep out of extreme weather though and you'll probably be fine.Also, another thing: this MUST be used on a completely flat and hard surface. No carpet, no tile, ideally a flat hardwood floor, otherwise it will be inaccurate.

This was a good scale for about the first year of use. Some minor fluctuations between weighings, as one would expect with any digital scale. Generally speaking, as long as I had it on an even, hard surface, I would get little fluctuation even when weighing myself several times in a row. Recently, however, I can step on this product, without moving it, twice or three times (allowing it to turn off the screen each time) and will get massive fluctuations. The greatest I saw was 12 lbs. Sadly, no matter where I put it or how new the batteries are, it is no longer usable.

SCALE is A BIT touchy - if the scale is moved, even a wee bit. you have to reset it before weighing. I just wanted something to stand on and ruin my morning because of displayed weight. Sad part was the scale after 1 week flashed "low" at time of order I thought the scale was reasonably priced. But when you have to buy a lithium button battery the size of a nickel for $6.85, I'm beginning to feel differently.

I'm not sure how to rate these scales. I bought them to replace my "dial" scales that I was using. These, however, are 10 pounds off compared to my others. So either I'm 10 pounds heavier than I thought, or the scales are wrong. I'm going to get weighed at the doctor's office so I can conclude which theory is correct, but until I do, I'm going with they are wrong. lolAs for their sturdiness, I was a bit scared of buying glass scales. The thought of stepping on them barefoot and then having broken glass stab me in the foot wasn't that appealing. However, I'm pretty sure that unless you step on them with shoes covered in rocks on the bottom, you're pretty safe.

Bought two. One broke almost immediately. The piece on the end broke off and tape retracted inside the case. Very disappointing. The other one still works and we like it very much for accurate body measurements for dieting. 50% success.

I thought I lost the Hoechstmass brand retractable tape measure I've used and loved for years, and this was a quick replacement purpose (because I didn't remember the brand name of the one I lost).Definitely inferior quality - just doesn't feel as well made; feels like the retraction mechanism might not hold up over the long run.For the price, I guess it's ok.

Looks like this current model has a better design. When I bought an earlier model it had an easy method for connecting to a keychain as there was an exposed open corner with a loop for said purpose. I liked the portability but it broke so now it is at home with other measuring tools. I really wanted to have an easy way of carrying a measuring device on my keychain.

The tape is good since it has both Inches and metric measurement. However, mine is hard to rewind, so I have to try different angles and push several times for it to retract.

Nice product but not as sturdy as the Fons&Porter one. The tape seems a little thin. Works great otherwise. It has inches and centimeters.

i was sitting around today thinking about how much i need one of these and how much i have needed one for a long time when i realized i'd ordered one a very long time ago and just... never received it. i don't know if it was an issue with the shipping or if it somehow got stolen, but it never did make it into my hands.2 stars just because i have no idea where the blame lies, and besides it happened literal years ago. i'll probably end up ordering another one when i can, and adjusting my rating accordingly.

It comes faded and can barely see the numbers on it. It also looks like someone got lazy and didn't finish numbering the tape.

Hate this scale... It's inaccurate and you can get a 2-3 lbs difference between getting off and back on. The worst part is it saves it's last results and shows those regardless of a weight difference. An example: I weighed myself with and without my pajama pants. It tried so hard to keep showing the previous weight, but kept flickering between a 1-pound difference weight.Would have rather gone with a more accurate scale.

I spent a very long time figuring out how to insert the CR2032 lithium battery. The user manual does not provide any sort of guidance in how to do so. This is awful because the scale only has 2 components, and the manual does not describe how the components fit together.When you open the battery compartment, there is an unhelpful arrow pointing to the left that says OPEN. To insert the battery, you have to push the battery into the left side first and then push down. The battery goes + side up. The battery goes ON TOP, not below the 2 metal strips in the compartment.

First I will say it's a very nice looking scale, but it has a lot of negatives.First and foremost: I just can't trust it. Some days it says I weigh 135 and then the next day I weigh 130 (if only!). I use it in my bathroom, on tile, I leave the door open when I shower so that the steam doesn't interfere and it does this fluctuation all the time.About a month after it came it showed 'lo' for a few weeks but it hasn't said it since and I haven't changed the battery (I've had it now for about 6 months) and it's still working.I didn't worry about returning it because it was only $15 and at the time I thought it would get better. If you're looking for a scale that is accurate all the time I would steer away from this one even though it is inexpensive!

Giving 2 stars - cuz amazon refunded the money without having me return this product - not sure if the service credits should go to Amazon or to Ozeri!As such - the product is a joke; The readings are not accurate and varies with each time you weigh it.I kept the scale on a hard surface floor; Weighted myself for the first time - noted X.A friend of mine weighed her and noted the readings - Y.My wife weighed herself and noted the readings - Z.When we all tried to do weigh ourselves after a few minutes the readings were X+5, Y-3 and Z+6.Tried it a couple more times and the precision of this product is not good. You can expect anything from -10 lbs to +10 lbs on the actual weight (right from the first use)

First of all, it is really fun using this scale! You never know what it will show next. You might loose 5-10 kg within seconds. Everyone using weight watcher programs and such should buy this product! Satisfaction guaranteed.However, if you want an exact measurement of your weight, you should buy a different product. I was stepping on the scale 5 times and I got five different weights within a 15 kg range. Also, trying the scale on different floor materials still initiated the random number generator.Luckily, Amazon took it back for a full refund. I would never buy it again.

This scale initially worked fine, and considering the price I wasn't quick to consider it useless. However, within a few days it gave increasingly inconsistent readings. I could weigh myself several times in the same spot within seconds and the reading varied up to 10 pounds. Not very useful when you're trying to track weight loss.Scale also occasionally read "Lo" or "000" when I'd stand on it. While the step-on activation was a nice feature, I would have rather had a scale that you had to turn on that actually worked.Returned it and got a slightly more expensive scale of a different brand.

Why is there blank space between the end of the tape and the start of the measurements? Not sure what the idea was behind that, but it makes it hard to use, or harder than it needs to be.

Doesn't start zero, where it should, All the tapes that I have seen in my entire life start the zero at the tip to make it easy to measure.There in the picture you can see it if you look closely, this one simply doesn't.On top of that it appears to be quite expensive here - these tapes should be $5 or less.

It took several weeks to arrive and when it did the metal end at the beginning of the tape was crooked. One edge was 1/8 of an inch further out than the other. A measuring tape has one function - to measure accurately. With mine you have to guess. I do not recommend this product.

Didn't realize this was coming from Hong Kong. I'll probably see it next November.

The absolute WORST costumer service I have ever encountered.They take a million years to ship out ONE little measuring tape which, mind you, is not the only measuring tape in the market.ALSO, when i messaged them about my problem (too slow shipping) they messaged me back with some peice of sh/te automatic message which says they are going to return it TWICE. Terrible product. Worked for about 2-3 months before I thought the battery ran out because the word "Lo" was displayed on screen. Replaced the battery. New battery lasted about 3 days. It freaked out and would display a weight on the screen even when there wasn't anything on it.Tried replacing battery again. Automatically says "Lo" immediately.Other reviews say you can't keep this scale in the bathroom, which I think is stupid.Just buy a better scale and save yourself some money and time.

Worked fine for a little while and then started going crazy. Sometimes it shows random characters that don't make any sense. Other times it get frozen with a 50 on the screen and you have to take the battery out to restart it. I've been storing it flat on a tile floor, not moving it. One day it will read my expected weight the next it will read 20 lbs lower the next day 30 lbs lower. I bought this cause it was cheap and had decent reviews but it was a waste of money. My roommate has the homedics scale and I've never had any issues with that one

Best Scale Ever! Every time I step on it I'm at least five pounds less than before. Even when it's only been two minutes. Man, my non-diet must really be working. I kid, I kid. This scale is terrible.I'm not exactly sure what I weigh, as I haven't had an at home scale in years. But, after having a bio-metrics screening, I decided it is time to track and watch. This scale has proven to be incredibly inaccurate. I've even tried using other "surfaces" to see if my location had anything to do with it, including have a hard piece of the plastic carpet covering, commonly used in offices.Will be returning this item and searching for another. Because, color me silly, but I prefer to spend my money on products that work.

The scale didn't function from the very beginning. I stepped on it the very first time and I got the error code. I tweaked it and fiddled with it and took out the battery and replaced the battery and tried it on a variety of surfaces and the thing didn't work, period.ON THE OTHER HAND, both Amazon and Ozeri were both incredibly responsive and helpful when I complained. Amazon told me not to even bother returning it and gave me my money back immediately, and then Ozeri sent me a separate email apologizing for the inconvenience. I had no issues with the scale in terms of looks and materials quality, so I have chalked it up to my being the 100th person after 99 people got a working scale. So, scale, 1 star, customer service, five stars, and even though I found a similar scale from a different manufacturer to replace this one with, I don't think I would avoid trying another Ozeri product.

I don't leave many product reviews, but I feel compelled to warn people away from this terrible product. In a span of three minutes, I weighed myself ten or so times... and got ten or so different weights. I'm talking fifteen pound variances, three pound variances. It already displayed a higher weight than I know is correct (I was weighed at my doctor's office two days earlier). The product description warns that the scale must calibrate when it moves, so the user should disregard the initial reading after re-positioning the unit. Fine. But how about precision after the next five weigh-ins.For those who rate this scale high, I have to wonder if they purchased the white version of this scale and it's somehow a better product? I ordered the black glass variety, and it's awful. Avoid this product at all costs!

I like this scale, and it has great reviews. But I was sent a lemon. The first reading is always different from the subsequent ones. The subsequent readings are sometimes identical, but not always. So I can't tell which reading to trust and that makes this scale useless.I'd like to exchange it for another one and try again. But Amazon won't/can't exchange this particular item, and the current price is more than twice what I paid for it (I paid $15.95 with free shipping, part of a larger order. Current price is $24.95 plus $11 shipping). Amazon's great return policy doesn't always work. I could return it and wait a year for it to go on sale again, or just try a different brand.Later...I called the manufacturer, Ozeri, and their customer service was very helpful. They're sending me another identical scale, along with a return authorization mail chit. I can't ask for more than that, assuming the replacement works better than the original one.

I wish the product specifications had listed that it has a Prop. 65 warning.

This is a flexible fiberglass tape measure (says so right on the tape) and after having it only a few months, and using it maybe 5 times, it started *giving me splinters every single time I used it*. It took me several times to realize what was happening, but every time I touched the edge of the tape to measure something, I'd end up with a fiberglass splinter in my finger. Sadly, this had to go in the trash.I ended up purchasing a flexible polyester tape measure from my local yarn store (a German-made Hoechstmass "Rollfix" that I read about in another review for this tape measure) for the same price as this Clover one, and it's much better and no splinters!I love every other item from Clover that I own. Their products are well thought out and simple to use. But this tape measure is the exception for me.

The button that retracts the tape doesn't always work and the design of the button is poorly made.I tried to return it for one that hopefully worked properly, but was told it can't be returned.

This is such a terrible tape measure. It doesn't start at zero at the end the way every other tape measure I've ever seen in my life does, so there's this extra inch a half of space you have to carefully allow for when measuring, which is actually pretty difficult. The worst part is that I didn't notice for the first several months of owning this, so all of my measurements from that time period are wrong.

I was looking for a tiny purse size measuring tape, as mine broke. I should have looked at the case measurements instead of judging by the picture because it is too large for the tiny pocket in my purse. Totally my fault, but it turned out to be a 'CAN'T BE RETURNED' item. For $4.75, no big deal, I just have no use for it. I'm just giving a heads up to others it can't be returned, so be sure it's exactly what you want, or have someone you can pass it on to.
