The cord is just a little too short otherwise perfect
September 23, 2017
As I said the cord is a little short so you really can't be too far away from your system but it doesn't matter. For the price and the way this is made the quality of this is just like a Sony.. Maybe a little bit below. But nothing like the other aftermarket garbage that I have purchased. And when I say garbage they're all garbage and believe me in this price range they are all garbage. I have purchased many of them over the past few years. this feels like you have something in your hand the vibration is perfect the buttons move perfectly. They are set up traditionally not the way the new controllers are with the stick kind of up to the left rather than straight across. there is absolutely nothing cheap about this controller except for the price. I highly recommend it just keep in a little short. But there's ways to make it longer for a couple bucks. And when you're not paying $60 for a controller for something that's worth a lot more than 19 bucks you can spend five dollars on a cord extender with a USB. It's nothing. Or just go online and they show you on many sites how to do it. It's extremely simple even without the transmitter. But with that being said that is the only slight drawback if you want to consider that a drawback for me it's not for others it might be. But the cord is not not enough for me to say no. I have two of them. I purchased one and then within a few weeks I purchase a second one. I will never go back to Sony ever again for $60 controller
Good controller for great price
July 10, 2017
Really satisfied, I used it to play Dark Souls 2 and Sleeping Dogs and Jet Set Radio and in all cases it instantly recognized the controller and didn't make me have to go through the button mapping process. For fun I tried to use this with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and that was a total trainwreck since the button mapping that it defaulted to was absolutely terrible, but at least it still set the buttons without me having to. The controller at least feels good in my hands and overall it feels like the thing is pretty sturdily constructed and the cord is just right for me to put it in my laptop and sit back from my monitor, or be able to lay back with it on my laptop so I would say the cord length is pretty decent. The only negatives I would put in my review is that the controller is pretty loud as far as the face buttons clicking and the shoulder buttons are a little bit on the stiff side and the equivalent of R2 and L2 have to be firmly pushed to register, other than that this is good enough for me.
and for most games this remote works just fine. The only problem I had is somewhat minor
May 18, 2017
I gave 5 stars because the price was very reasonable, the remote is decent for the price, and for most games this remote works just fine. The only problem I had is somewhat minor, and would be unfair not to give 5 stars because of. The minor issue I had was that the four button directional control on the left is not actually four separate buttons. It's one piece of plastic. So when you touch one of the buttons, the others move a bit too. Most of the time this probably doesn't matter. But I happen to have used it so my 3 year old son could play an emulated Atari car racing game on the pc. And with this particular game, pressing the backwards button, even if it's only lightly pressed, causes the car to stop as though you hit the brakes. So trying to steer the car up or down causes the car to stop. If you look carefully, you can actually see the backwards button being pressed, no matter how careful you are to press only the down button. Still, I'm sure there are many games that this remote would work well with, and cause no problems.
best of its price point
May 4, 2017
Excellent for its price. I'm always on the hunt for "that slightly cheap controller that doesn't compromise" and this one is great. Sticks are a bit looser than PS4, d-pad a touch stiffer. Buttons and d-pad do not get stuck in the housing no matter how hard you press - after 3 months of pretty frequent use. Good all around controller with no flaws, aside from the R2 / L2 buttons feeling slightly cheap. Shoulders in general are probably the worst buttons of the bunch, but still plenty usable. That said, this might not be your preferred FPS controller - no reason to put away your 360/XB1 controllers for that purpose.
Great Controller For The Price.
February 19, 2017
This is an excellent controller for the price. The buttons are solid and feel much like console based controllers. The analog sticks are tight enough and the D-Pad is the same as a PS controller. About the only thing I could nitpick on is that the controller casing feels to be of a slightly less quality plastic but much better than a cheap brand controller. No software needed. Works very well with Windows 10 and Raspberry Pi systems (RetroPie, Amibian and Combian 64).I visited the company's website and apparently they only make wired controllers so far. Would like to get a wireless version of this.
Excellent controller
August 18, 2015
I bought this for a Raspberry Pi 2 to use with RetroPie Emulation Station. It works flawlessly. Now I cam be reminded how much I sucked at some of the games, like U.N. Squadron for SNES. The controller looks every bit as good as the pictures. The drivers make it be recognized as an XBox 360 controller. I didn't have to install any drivers on my Pi.

September 6, 2017
Well, my Bro has the Game already for the Xbox 1, and I said, "I gotta get this, only, for the PC!" I did, it was decently priced, (especially for the quality of the Game) it introduced me to a new Online Gaming Headquarters, (Origin) and needless to say, this game is awesome! It's a bit too good in quality (my PC slows considerably) and the game conveniently comes with options to better fit the demands of the computer's features. I do need to connect to the internet every once in a while to play it, (even if I want to offline) but I love this game. Thanks so much!

Very nice controller
September 7, 2017
Looks as good as the picture and feels really good in my hand as I use it. I like that I can just plug it into my USB port and play. I don't have to download apps, or press different buttons in a order to sync it with my computer or buy tons of batteries or worry if it's losing charge. I don't mind the cord at all as it is more than long enough. Price is reasonable and product is good quality.
Great Controller for RetroPie
May 8, 2017
This controller feels nice and was surprisingly simple to set up on my RetroPie (Raspberry Pi 3) device. I ordered two of these, but found that the left stick on one (when actuated to the right) doesn't work. That's a minor issue, but is what keeps me from giving this a four-star rating (it's rare that I give 5).Overall, I'm very impressed by this controller and would recommend this one to friends.BTW, RetroPie identifies these as Xbox 360 controllers, in case anyone was wondering.UPDATE:The seller (William-G) quickly sent a replacement for the defective controller -FREE of charge, which functions just fine. These controllers are great, and the customer service was excellent. For that, I've updated this to four stars.
This is a really great controller for the price!
March 14, 2017
This is a really great controller for the price! Its controls are pretty smooth and the buttons press down evenly and never get stuck. The analog sticks are smooth and responsive. The only complain I have is that it will randomly stop working. I use it for Skyrim, Rocket League ETC, and probably have 20 hrs on this controller now. It has stopped working maybe 3-4 times and all you have to do is unplug it and plug it back in. A slight annoyance sure, but for $20 what more can you ask for? This was to replace my Steam controller which I did NOT care for as i hated the right "touch pad" and MUCH prefer the analog stick.
Fair replacement for certain games
September 28, 2016
I got it for use on my PS3. My old 3rd party controller finally bit the bullet & I needed another PS3 controller that was around the size of a 360 one, but as responsive as a standard PS3 controller. This one came the closest to fitting the bill. It's bigger then a PS3 controller, but JUSt under the size of an Xb1 controller. It's quite comfortable, the buttons are responsive. However it's not without some flaws/things that I would change. For one, the cord is amazingly short (I would say between 4 & 5 feet). My guess there is that the creators of this thing figured PC users would be the primary customer & not someone who wants to sit back on their couch & just "veg" on the couch or chair while playing a game on the console. So if you get this thing for similar reasons that I did, get yourself one of the extender USB cables in addition to this controller. I also would have liked the handle areas to have a rubber texture for a better grip. As with the controller that this one replaced, you have to turn on the PS3 the "old fashioned" way, there is no button to turn it on with this.I've not tried this on my Xb1 or PC, I've also not tried it with certain games types on my PS3 (like fighters).
Good PC Controller, Without Bad x360 Controller Style.
August 26, 2016
Want an easy controller for your PC but dislike the x360 controller style? Here you go. It's certainly not going to fully feel like a PS controller but comes about as close as a third party controller will do. If there's anything i can say against it, it's that the cord is a bit short, so if you're going to use for a console, it probably wont work too well if you depend on wireless controllers or long cords.
Only con: ABXY buttons
April 11, 2016
This is a great USB PlayStation 2 styled controller that works excellently and feels great in the hands. Feels very sturdily built.Plugged it into my PC and the drivers were instantly installed, little to no wait time. Doesn't take any time to load software or drivers when you plug it in, simply plug and play. I'm able to even plug it in mid-game and switch from keyboard/mouse to this controller.Works perfectly for my PS2 emulator, and even works on some Steam games, such as Rocket League.Only cons are that it uses an ABXY button system on the right-hand side of the controller, instead of the XO[square][triangle] as on the original PlayStation controllers (could be a Sony trademark).Overall, great controller that I look forward to using often.

Works great on my son's PC! Perfect graphics and detailed imagery!
December 9, 2016
My son purchased game in a PC version. He has had it for about a week now and after building his computer he wanted a new game to play! This game is perfect for him! He has been playing it for about a week now and each time he plays it he has to remark about the cool graphics and visual impact! He is a PC Gamer and has set up his own computer and even he keeps remarking about how pretty the screen is and detailed images! great game!
A lot of fun; frenetic battles and huge maps!
May 26, 2016
Not sure why all the negative reviews. I will start right off by saying I do NOT like the new "token" method of getting into a vehicle, gaining a power-up, etc. I suppose this is to stop folks from camping at vehicle spawn points (like they did in the old Battlefield games), but it's still not as fun.

With that aside, I think that otherwise the game is a blast. The maps are huge, and if your HW can handle all the settings maxed out it is beautiful! My first time in the Hoth battle I followed the AT-AT around for 5 minutes because I was amazed that the foot prints left actual depressions in the terrain - not just overlaid "footprint" textures.

And 40-person battles? Frenetic and fast-paced fun.
Download only ... =(
February 11, 2016
This is only for the download, no disc included in the box. Other than that it is a fun game. EA just did a 'balance' patch so the game feels a lot more funner to play. You don't immediately die in two seconds from a high-flying bow caster any more. I would recommend this game to anyone who loves FPS and Star Wars.
Great for Star Wars fans, not-so-great for first-person shooter enthusiasts
February 6, 2016
Been playing this off and on for the last couple months and am mostly enjoying the game. The graphics are amazing, and they've done an exceptional job at making you feel like you're in the movies. This game absolutely fulfills the fantasy of being in the movies, playing as your favorite hero or villain, commanding an AT-AT or AT-ST, or a number of other vehicles on the many battlefields found within the Star Wars universe. The space battles leave a lot to be desired, but I understand those should get an upgrade in one of the future expansion packs.

I didn't purchase the season pass and am satisfied with the amount of content in the game currently.

Originally the game was littered with players cheating via aimbots (auto aim hacks) and ESP hacks (shows enemy players on the mini-map and even behind corners). While they made some early attempts to target and ban these players, each new patch brings another crop of them and it takes another week or two for EA's detection systems to weed them out again.

If EA can get a handle on the cheaters, improve the matchmaking, make a few minor balance tweaks (A-Wings dominate the sky), and continually roll out new maps, heroes, game modes, etc., Star Wars: Battlefront will be a game that could stand the test of time.
Excellent for Star Wars fans who are casual gamers, hardcore gamers won't like it
December 8, 2015
I think that if you're a Star Wars fan and a casual gamer, you'll enjoy Battlefront quite a lot, like I do. I'm a casual gamer. I have a job, kids, a home to care for and many other responsibilities. Add in that I'm old and slow compared to gamers in their prime these days, and I suck at shooters, but I still enjoy them. I'm also a monster Star Wars fan, since 1977, so my view of the game is different than many others. It's beautiful, you get to play with Star Wars gear in environments that are pretty amazing looking and the gameplay is largely enjoyable. It works for me, because it has an easy learning curve, fairly simple controls and leveling isn't crazy hard. If you're looking for a challenging shooter with great depth, this isn't it. That's OK by me.

Really short chord
July 14, 2017
The chord is really really short. Don't expect to be able to play on your couch. Luckily it's long enough for me but I wish I had an extra foot at least. However another negative point is there were 2 games that the controller did not work on. I don't think it's the controller's fault, I blame it on the software but just the fact that on the first day 2 games didn't acknowledge the controller was a negative thing. Again I don't think it's the controller's fault, I think it's those 2 games but it's just another factor.
Cheap and serviceable for casual gaming
May 12, 2017
This controller is okay for the price point. Definitely not a PS3/4 controller or Xbox quality level here. The joysticks and triggers are slightly mushy and across a few games I've tried with it there is a laggy response, like perhaps the contacts on the triggers aren't being engaged to send commands to the computer. Totally useable but if you are a serious gamer, spending twice as much will get you quality your expecting to trounce the competition.
Great Out-Of-The-Box controller! Issue with difficult Triggers.
March 14, 2017
UPDATE REVIEW--When using this controller for Farming Simulator 17, I realized an issue that's quite bothersome: The dynamic Triggers (behind the bumpers) need to be pushed EXTREMELY HARD for max use.Meaning, if you are playing a simple game where the key is either On or Off, you're fine. However, if you need a dynamic control, like for simulators or driving, then to have Max Acceleration you have to almost break your knuckle pushing the trigger in.Other than that it's a fantastic controller, so I still use it even though I have two Wireless PS4 controllers I can use with my PC instead.Out-Of-Box Review --I haven't used this for a long duration, but this works great with my Raspberry Pi Console Emulator! I'm always worried about controller companies, but this guy seems pretty durable. I also didn't realize the "trigger" buttons are actual buttons, not triggers, so I was worried that it wouldn't replace my loved PS4 controller (I had to stop using them because the charge/data cord was getting loose in the socket and very annoying). However, the angle and feel of the trigger button on this ZD controller feels great, so I'd have no issue using it on my PC as well!Controller feels solid, with just the right amount of heft.If it ever breaks or wears out I'll be sure to update this review accordingly.
Not bad, but not so good as I expect. :(
December 20, 2016
I give this controller 3 starts. Here are my review about this product.Good: Price is good, and it works well. It also looks good. Not so good: The feeling of two direction control axis make it hard to do exactly control. If you move it a little bit, it's ok. If you move it entirely, it's also ok. However if you want to move it between those two position I mentioned, it will be easily move fully.Bad: I can not understand why people design the trigger axis like this... They make it a button and put pressure sensor in it.......However, if you want to drive a car, you can't control the acceleration as you want. If you shooting a gun, it sometimes (35%) not shoot the trigger....In brief, it's good if you just want a controller and don't mind the feeling or accurately control. It will not be a good choice if you need any accurately control.
Not a fan
June 29, 2016
I'm personally not a fan of this controller. Functionality wise it works OK, but what I really don't like about it is the back triggers. The left one seems alright but the right one isn't nearly as responsive. I use this controller to play rocket league, and for whatever reason the right trigger (my accelerator) does not seem to be full power, unless I'm literally jamming my finger into it with an uncomfortable amount of force. The triggers are buttons, rather than traditional triggers that move on a pivot point, although they seem to be pressure sensitive as well. The design just doesn't do it for me. I want one or the other; with this controller they tried to find some common ground in the middle and it just doesn't work well for my applications. The D-pad however, is outstanding on this controller; it's the only reason this is getting 3 stars. I'm not going to bother returning it partly because of the hassle, but also because I can use this controller with emulators, because of the outstanding D-pad. All in all, if it had pivot point triggers like the PS3 controller or similar to the 360 controller, it would get 4 or 5 stars.
Not as reliable as I'd like, but promising.
January 8, 2015
PROS:* Works without drivers on Windows* Works as an XBox-360 controller* Comfortable shape* Reasonable price* Controls work as expectedCONS:* Slightly light - needs more internal mass* Triggers sometimes don't fire* Triggers sometimes get mechanically stuck* A-button is slightly stickyIt might be as simple as opening it up, adding a some weights, and trimming off some plastic flashing. It might also be something that gets better as it wears in a little.

Works just not a disk. You have to install ORIGIN and create an account to use.
September 11, 2017
Disappointed that it is a key for a downloaded copy. Beware you also have to create an ORIGIN account and be online to play. Didn't see this in the description when we purchased it. Maybe I missed something.
it is a great fun game
April 17, 2017
For the $12 I paid, it is a fun game. I do not play MP, just the quick training missions though. I'm just a casual, occasional gamer. That said, it does get old fast.
Purchased physical copy had to download anyhow NO DISC
November 6, 2016
So I explicitly purchased the physical copy of the game so I wouldn't have to download 30GB+ and what showed up? A empty case that said "NO DISC INCLUDED" WTH!?
Good multi-player game, single player option is worthless.
December 28, 2015
Very nice graphics, weapons, and special abilities. BIG NEGATIVE...No single player campaign, just different levels of solo survival, NO story. May be a good multiplayer game but I find those populated with veteran "serious" players who make playing un-enjoyable. If you are looking for what was advertised, the single player portion of this game is a waste of money.
the previous Battlefront game was more fun. That being said
December 11, 2015
$60 bucks and I don't get a freakin' disc? Furthermore, the previous Battlefront game was more fun. That being said, this game isn't terrible. This game plays a little like Call of Duty and I don't care for that. I want to be in an imaginary worled in campaign mode, getting in and out of cool vehicles while changing uniforms as needed. I have been deprived of this.

Great for the price
June 19, 2017
Edit:So, originally I liked this controller for the most part. I played some Dark Souls, and it seemed okay. However, when I started playing Spelunky, which heavily relies on hitting the R2/trigger button, I started noticing some serious issues. It just doesn't always seem to register the R2 button being hit. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't. When it does, sometimes it'll cut in and out. If you want this for maybe some emulators or games that don't use the L2/R2 buttons, I think you'd be fine. Otherwise, I'd skip this controller.Original text:Honestly, for the price that they're asking for, this is a great controller. It's not going to be as top of the line as actual XBox or Playstation controllers, but for around a third of the price, you can't expect that. I haven't had any issues with the controller not being responsive or buttons not working. It feels comfortable in my hands (though it's light, which I know some people don't care for). It's nice for if you want a Playstation-esque controller that actually has the buttons labeled like an XBox and works in games just as if it were an XBox controller.Pros:- XBox Input and button labels (good for those of you all like me who shuffle between the different consoles/controllers and can't remember what button is where)- Cheap price, but doesn't feel super cheap (I wouldn't say that it feels like high quality either though)Cons:- The R2 trigger doesn't always seem to work- The L2/R2/triggers are very "clicky" in that they make a lot of noise- No analog triggers- The cable isn't long enough to use for any sort of media PC console experience
and HATE the feel of an xbox controller
June 6, 2017
I am a big playstation guy, and HATE the feel of an xbox controller, so I went with this as my PC controller as it is so similar and was listed as an "Amazon Pick." I wish I could give this a 5 star, as I love the controller, but the right stick was not functioning from the get go. I tried swapping right and left, and sure enough, it still did not work! I am so disappointed that this did not work properly.
Does not work properly.
November 7, 2016
UPDATE 2: One of them flat out broke after a few weeks; the light wouldn't come on at all. I missed the return window so now I'm stuck with the useless thing. The other one is usable, but both triggers fade (as in if you're holding it down it will stop working as well after a bit) and are difficult to press hard enough to work. Don't take the gamble..UPDATE: After some light use, the L2 button started to barely work at all. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and ordered another one. Same issue! If you never use L2 then maybe you can take the gamble.----It seemed nice, but the L2 button also causes the directional pad to fire most of the time. For the game I usually play it's a minor annoyance, but with another game it could really mess you up. I will probably return it for a replacement and hope the new one doesn't have an even worse problem. Besides that, it installed and worked instantly upon being plugged in with my Windows 10 machine, so that was nice. All the buttons feel nice as well. They click since they are hard plastic, but it's not cheapo feeling. It feels like a higher quality than the only Playstation-esque one you can usually get at the electronics store.
Complaints about no vibrate...how about constant?
October 22, 2016
As soon as the game started, the vibration kicked in and won't stop. It's subtle but after a while it's just annoying. If I unplug it and plug it back in it stops but if I hit any button after that--- constant vibrate again. :(
High hopes, but ultimately let down
September 5, 2016
Overall the controller was OK, but didn't last as long as I would have liked it to considering the great reviews it has. The controller had an issue with the joysticks the caused my character to always face a certain way if I wasn't actively pushing it the other way which was annoying. After several months it started to have some connectivity issues and I stopped using it after I got frustrated with having to mess with it each time I tried to play a controller based game. A nice thing is that it was plug n play so I didn't have to spend time setting up drivers or installing anything like I have for some controllers in the past.I am disappointed that it started to go downhill so quickly, but in my experience many of these controllers are either hit or miss. I wouldn't recommended getting this controller unless you've already had a good experience with one that lasted a long time. At $20 it isn't a lot of money, but it is still disappointing for it to not last as long as I would have liked. It is certainly possible that I just got a bad controller and that they are normally pretty good.
Good... for a while. AGAIN!
November 16, 2015
After a while of using the controller, this time for a bit longer, it died AGAIN. The company had sent me a replacement because I had complained about it previously and it worked fine again but didn't write another review until the same time had passed just to test it out again. The company did well by sending another but honestly could only work for a while. If you're looking for a mid term controller to use for a bit this is great, especially for the price, but if you want something long term might as well just spend the extra money and get a better one that'll last you longer. I was always taking good care of the controller ESPECIALLY the second one. Never dropped, always had a gap between the ends of the wire when it was rolled up so the wire couldn't be damaged, always kept on top of a desk and used somewhat often but in the end it just died AGAIN.

EA WET THE BED W/ THIS ONE!!!
February 27, 2017
This game is rudiculously dumb! Starting off as a new player you're pretty much nothing but an easy kill for those who have been playing for awhile, have upgraded all their gear w/ shields, health packs, and overpowered weaponry. When starting out, be prepared to die multiple times within 60 seconds. You'll die, spawn near an enemy opponent, and die again within 10-15 seconds...MULTIPLE TIMES...it's almost hiarious how bad a job EA did w/ this game. And it's AMAZING how 1 guy will carry an entire team...EVERY GAME...5 other guys will barely do anything except die, yet 1 guy will become 1 v 6 and continue taking out all 6 opponents with ease. The graphics are great...the landscapes, etc. Music...AWESOME...plus it's Star Wars. The overall mechanics/play/etc though = horrible! THIS IS NOTHING LIKE YOUR PLAYSTATION 2 BATTLEFRONT...which is still actually fun to play.

And the solo missions are nothing but a boring grind!

And a HUGE HUGE HUGE THANKS...to all those that posted all the negative reviews prior to me buying this...I almost paid full price in the beginning which would have pissed me off even more...thankfully I paid much less once the game had been out awhile.
If they had just kept it simple...
November 21, 2016
Pros: Looks Amazing, has many weapons from the lore, has a lot of cool character skins, and sound effects are spot on.
Cons: Maps are very unbalanced, lack of rebel vehicles, cards change the dynamic of the game too much(whats the point of walking when everyone has a jet-pack?), spawns are absolutely atrocious, and no story.

If they had just kept the gameplay mechanics simple, and had added a small story(5-6 hour); it would have been much better in my opinion.
Waste of money for all but the hard core fans
April 26, 2016
The visuals are great. The gameplay is nothing more thsn an arcade shooting gallery with not too much variety. I hought yhis would be like Callof Duty. No where near it.
Another awesome game ruined by lack of replayability.

Loved the game. Then the PC community pretty much died. I paid 60 dollars for a game that lasted 3 months. Thanks EA.
Superior Graphics! But not what I remember Battlefront to be...
December 4, 2015
As a Star Wars fan - I had high hopes for the game. The graphics are beyond amazing, I will admit that happily. But, the User Interface is sloppy and dreadful at times. I would guess because I'm old, I just don't get it (Hey, I can admit that). But had nothing but problems launching the game on a dual-monitor system, there is no flight-stick support for the space missions, and you are completely screwed if you can't access the Internet - the game will not work at all. So, I paid $60 for a game that if the servers are down, I can not play... Essentially, I'm pre-paying for a subscription for x-time to play the game. I know many love it - I can see why they would - but for me? It was not worth the money.

Received defective item
September 19, 2017
Arrived broken with one of the buttons (I believe the bottom one, PS X button) randomly being activated several times in a row without the controller being touched.
Rear trigger buttons unresponsive
September 14, 2017
I was looking for a suitable replacement for another USB game controller that I accidentally broke, and I found this. Satisfied with the price, I immediately ordered it, and received it on time, which is good, at least. However, upon trying to play a game with a heavy emphasis on the rear shoulder buttons (also known as L2 and R2), the buttons were exceptionally unresponsive, leading to poor gameplay and inconvenient button timing, which ruined some of the game's experience. The shoulder buttons are designed in a very odd way. Unlike the more classic "trigger-shaped" buttons that you might see on an Xbox controller, these are flat like a Playstation's controller, except that these have very poor tactile feedback capabilities. I'm sending this back. Avoid at all costs.
L2/R2 Shoulder Buttons not sensitive.
June 22, 2017
Honestly, I'm really disappointed. I've purchased this product before and it worked really well for me for a few years but eventually it started to wear down, which is expected. I purchased a new one earlier this week and was looking to seamlessly transfer over to using this new controller. Unfortunately that didnt go as planned. The L2/R2 triggers arent sensitive enough for many of the games I play on PC. I'm not sure what they did differently, but its simply not being detected in my game unless I MASH on them very hard. The reason I purchased this controller is because of how easy it should be to press the shoulder buttons as compared to the trigger variety. Sadly this was not the case. Its unusable. Ive gone back to my old controller which still works better than this new one.Very very very disappointing.
Try something different

Ordered it, but did not use right away. 2 Months later when i have time to sit down and play the game I bought it for, the right analog does not work pointing right in either modes. Defective out of the box. Spoke to amazon and they said there was nothing they could do on their end since it was over 30 days. Seller does not respond to e mails. $20 wasted.
Controlling the player not the game.
September 10, 2016
It lacks customization. Most of the time you have to find ways around what is hard wired into it. Some games don't even recognize it as a game pad so you may have to find software to bind the buttons to your keyboard and mouse. When it is recognize by the button layout is not the same as other game pads so you end up with Y being B and X being Y. You end up having to conform to your game controller rather then the other way around.Your better off getting thisLogitech Gamepad F310

Over hyped. Over priced. On top of that EA wants more of your money. It acts like those "free" app games that require in game purchasing.
Stay away from origin
January 28, 2017
Do not buy this game. No physical disk and have to put in code to play off origin and sign up.Game updated and now says code won't work. Tried to contact origin and they put you on hold and are no help. Amazon will not give credit waste of money.Stay away.
but the matchmaking horrible. Whenever I try to play a multiplayer game
April 28, 2016
This game has potential, but the matchmaking horrible. Whenever I try to play a multiplayer game, it goes into an empty or barely populated lobby and you have to wait 10-20 minutes for it to fill up. A simply server browser upgrade would do wonders and when one does join a lobby the ability to chat in it would be nice as well. People have been petitioning EA for a server browser since the games release, but they don't seem to care. I'm unlikely to buy an EA game again.

Immensely frustrating and shallow game. Very difficult to get placed into servers. They created half a game for full price. You can buy the other half piecemeal over the following year. EA is an embarrassment.
Taking the fun out of STAR WARS
January 13, 2016
I'm glad to see the large numbers of negative reviews on here, not just because I agree with them, but hopefully they'll bring about positive changes in future attempts at STAR WARS games. I'm a huge STAR WARS fan. I'm a huge computer game fan. I echo the sentiment of those who like Battlefront I & II, and have gone back to playing them. Here's my more detailed review of the new 'Battlefront':The Pros:Excellent GraphicsExcellent Sound EffectsThe Cons:Single-player -1) Limited content.2) Limited maps.3) You can't play the more expansive maps in single player.4) I already knew the single-player content would be without a campaign, and I also knew it would be minimal. However, the single-player content isn't even fun. Instead of eliminating enemies to win a game, you have to eliminate enemies and then gather these 'tokens' that fallen enemies and allies drop when they die. You only get points for the 'tokens' you get – not the kills. The tokens disappear after a limited time, so you spend more time running around and gathering these tokens than anything else. If I thought it was fun running around and picking things up while being shot at – I'd be thinner, my house would be cleaner and I'd probably move to a new neighborhood. It's *not* fun – it's stressful. I don't mind that 'Battlefront' doesn't have a Single Player 'Campaign', I spent most of my single-player time in Battlefront I & II playing 'Instant Action' anyway. In 'Instant Action' in BF I & II, you can make a playlist of maps you want, and then play in that order or random/shuffle order. There are 15 maps in BF I and 24 maps in BF II. In addition to lots of maps to choose from, you can also choose the time period (Original movies or Prequels), choose what side you wanted to be on, and even choose from 5 different specialty classes.Coop –1) Extremely limited content.2) Limited maps (see above)3) If you play the 'Survival' missions, you 'have' to play as the rebels.4) If you play the 'Battles' – you 'have' to play 'against' your coop partnerMultiplayer –1) The most popular area seems to be the 'Walker Assault' games, but they require around 30 players minimum. If there are aren't enough players - you can't play them. There's no AI to fill in the remainder of missing participants if there aren't enough human players. Usually there's only one map that has enough players, and occasionally - none.2) Very Unbalanced – Often very one-sided, which might be OK if it was once in a while, 'but', the teams aren't re-shuffled after each game. Only the sides (Rebels or Imperials) alternate after each game. So if you're on a great team - you're probably going to win several games in a row...but if you're on a bad team, you know you're going to get steamrolled for several games in a row - which is demoralizing and *not* fun.3) One of the ways the teams are unbalanced is that groups can play together on the same side, greatly increasing the odds that individual players will be facing teams that play together as teams in fps games, making those teams likely to steamroll opposing teams of individuals who likely have less gaming experience and no experience playing together.4) Allowing teams of players to play on the same team also creates numerical imbalances as well. I've been in games where it was 20 vs. 14 (I was on the team with 14), because although 34 players met the minimum to play the Walker Assault game - the game was forced to put all the player teams together - overloading one side. I also played one of the multi-player games where the maximum number of players is 12 and ended up in a 6 vs. 2 game (I was on the team with 2).5) Some of the spawn points allow enemies to camp and pick you off as you spawn.Of course one general gripe is that you have to play the game online. This isn't new, and games seem to be going this way, but I don't like it. If the servers are offline, or the servers are being rebooted or if your internet goes out - your game is essentially worthless. In Conclusion: Some of the ideas incorporated into the game, such as being able to play with all your friends on one team, are well-intentioned, but have created a lot of problems. Although the graphics are great, the game isn't fun. I've played many computer games on many platforms and I've played a lot of fps games - both with and without multi-player. I've excelled in multi-player, fps 'deathmatches' in other games and won plenty, but have only finished in the top 3rd of my team in points in 'Battlefront', once. The point is that unfortunately, STAR WARS fans who aren't at least adequate gamers won't enjoy this game. The multiplayer games will be too tough for them and the single player games aren't fun.
