Five Star Reviews: | 49% Great Product, Great Service. January 5, 2017 I got a slightly different model from the one pictured and listed but it was an upgrade so I can't complain. (See picture.) If they were out or short on inventory it spoke highly on behalf of their customer service to send me a better one. I originally ordered this to put out on some property but a friend came up with a rodent problem so we used the camera to get to the bottom of it. The camera had to be placed at an awkward angle to accommodate the location but if you look at the nighttime picture you'll see the culprit. Would definitely recommend. Great Cam for a great price! January 22, 2016 I bought this for my wife as a Christmas present. We have woods directly behind our house and they are full of wildlife: deer, fox, raccoons, owls, hawks, etc. I set the camera up on Christmas Day and I took the memory card out 2 days later to check for results. There were 52 pictures! The camera has various settings for taking pictures or video. I chose the three round burst pre-programmed setting. We got great night time pictures of a family of deer - a doe and her two twin fawns. We also were surprised to have pictures of a grey fox! I have since moved the camera to another spot and we are eagerly awaiting what we will capture. Great camera for the price November 19, 2014 Great camera for the price. Camera has been on a food plot since the day after I received it. Good pics during night time and day time. You can not go wrong for the money with this camera if you use it for scouting or just enjoy watching the wildlife in your area October 27, 2014 I purchased two of these camera's and set one up the next day on Sept. 27th to scout my hunting area. After 30 day's it is still there taking hundred of pictures of wild life. I purchased a spare SD card and switch it out every few days. Pictures are clear no matter if it is daylight or midnight with no moon and they are time & date stamped.. After showing pictures from the camera to two of my friends, they both order this camera. You can not go wrong for the money with this camera if you use it for scouting or just enjoy watching the wildlife in your area. Here are a couple of pictures I have taken. Awesome camera August 18, 2014 After our old stealth cam no longer worked (after about 7 yrs), we decided to get another one. After checking around, we decided on this one. It's smaller than our older one, less bulky and less heavy than the older one. This camera takes color shots by day and infrared shots by night. It can also take a burst of pics. We have it set on the highest level of burst shots which is 6 for this camera. (When I bought this, the description said 9, but it's not, it's 6, at least for ours.) You can customized what you want a little bit with this camera with the custom setting. The color pics are marvelous! I am so impressed! The infrared photos are just as great! And with the burst shots, you get to see more of what's happening outside as they take them consecutively. We found this camera very easy to use and figure out. We've had the camera for over a month and the batteries are still showing a full charge. We set the camera up in our yard so it takes constant pics. We clear the card every week. We've had almost a thousand pics taken and the batteries are holding up way, way better than I thought they would. We put in a 16 GB card. At one time, it's held over 450 pics without being close to full. We set the setting for images on mid level. Wanted to see how good the pics were and we are extremely pleased with how well they come out. We have not tried the video setting yet. It can take up to a 15 second video I think. Once we try it, we'll let you know how it works. It also comes with a pretty big strap so you can attach it to trees or whatever. We used it once, it worked well. But we decided on putting the camera on a tripod instead so we could move it around the yard without too much hassle. We are going to buy a couple more of these to put around the house as security cameras. With the SD card, there's no having to deal with wires, computers or wireless that you have to deal with for normal security cameras. I would for sure recommend this camera. The price is very reasonable for this great camera. | 85% I highly recommend this to anyone needing a memory card September 10, 2017 I use these in my Primos Game Camera's that I have set up for Security Camera's.They are re-usable and I get 1159 High Definition pictures on each SD card.I can lock each sd card to save the data on each card if I want.I highly recommend this to anyone needing a memory card. Never Let me Down! July 25, 2017 I have tried many different SD cards for my game cameras and the SanDisk has never let me down like some of my fellow hunters and game watchers.I have cards from 8GB - 32GB and run them in Browning Game Cameras in a 5 second delay 4-rapid fire shot mode all season and most of the summer with no issues. Any basic card reader that can be used with you smart phone or tablet/laptop will read these as well. I needed some extra memory cards and loved that this came with two March 24, 2017 I needed some extra memory cards and loved that this came with two. I've used SanDisk in the past and have always been pleased with how my photos turned out so I went looking for this brand when I needed to buy new ones. I take super large photos but not sure how many can be taken on each of these as I've yet to fill one up since my purchase. The price was great on these, I'm considering buying a couple more to keep in my camera bag just to have. good thing to take on a trip. March 24, 2017 The price was right on these, and they are going to be perfect when I take them on my trip to WAlt disney world. I have already used one of them and it was perfect. Glad I ordered them Best. Memory. Card. Ever! March 18, 2017 Perfect for storing home videos, photos, data, spreadsheets, programs, and games. Doesn't like storing water though. Serves its purpose very well. February 1, 2017 Perfect for Nikon D7200 dual card slot. DSLR cameras are tricky little devices, I have an arsenal of memory cards. However, only a few of the cards will work with my camera, and thease are in that few. Works perfectly, holds large format photos with no problems. My newest Nikon has two card slots, The second one is there for overflow, and I haven't had to use it yet. | 82% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 19% Great for the price January 5, 2017 This will do the job. pictures are kinda granny for my liking but hey is a cheap camera. I used it last hunting season it took ok pictures for me.i added a sample of one the picture it took. Decent camera for the price. July 10, 2016 For the price, this is a pretty decent critter cam. Pros: Gives a 30 second delay after being turned on to give you time to get it in the security box, if you use one, before it starts taking pictures. The green set up light is easy to see. Nice night vision. Takes decent pictures. Not a bad camera for this price range. Cons: Trigger points are closer than another brand I use so you don't get as many photos. I haven't gotten it to trigger any further than 30 ft away. It is not very consistent. It will trigger one time at one place and then the next time, doesn't take the photos at the same place at times. Conclusion: For close range photos, this camera is fine but for areas where a larger surveillance are is needed, I would purchase a different camera. Solid unit with good results for the price, simple too !! January 6, 2016 This Game camera works good and the custom setting allows many options beside the position 1-3 settings which also do what they need too. Get a 8 GigaByte card for it minimum, if there is a lot of activity on your game trail, it will be stacking up the pictures and videos quickly. A herd of cattle got themselves a lot of great pictures when they massed near the site-line of this device. For the price, the stills are clear and video's solid. The nighttime ones (most were these for Whitetail deer) were also good and you can see what you are looking for namely if animals are moving in that certain area. It was out in rain and a little snow this last month and didn't have any mositure issues, still running on same batteries and I check it / move it about every 3rd day for the last 30 or so. Great, William This is a great camera considering the price November 3, 2014 This is a great camera considering the price. I have had several bears attack this camera and knock it around. They have yet to get it open nor have they broken any parts on it. It takes decent pictures again considering how much the camera cost compared to others on the market. Really good product November 2, 2014 I got this camera to record animal intruders in our yard at night. I put it on a tree in our back yard, made the settings, but discovered I'd mounted it too high because passing vehicles on the street in front will trigger it. Quite frankly, I'm impressed with it. Video is clear and works well day or night. Daylight color is impressive. The only change I'd make is to add a nighttime-only mode. The case is quite durable, as is the strap. The front opens and locks wide open so as not to interfere with what you're doing. It also closes positively with two locking clips and a provision for your own personal lock. Update 8/6/15: I ended up shortening the strap quite a bit as there is nothing in my yard anywhere near the circumference that strap can handle. My camera indicated battery pack at half power when, in fact, they were completely drained. Remember to reset the date and time when you replace the batteries. Don't use this indoors if you're trying to film outdoors at night; the glare from the glass blinds the sensor. Still great value for the money. | 10% SanDisk Flash Memory Cards July 21, 2017 I ordered these 16 gig chips for my Moultrie Game Camera. They work fine. I have been using SanDisk memory products for many years and am very happy with their dependability and usefulness. Thanks. CC46/Jimmy Fielding Always order these, they last about 6-8 months which is not too bad July 14, 2017 Always order these, they last about 6-8 months which is not too bad Awesome in a pinch and shipped fast! November 6, 2016 They shipped super fast! I have used them a few times in my DSLR and the upload and download speeds were very nice. It's not one of my top choices but SD choices but I keep two in my bag in case I need one in a pinch. Also they are very handy for shooting stills when I am using my nicer SD card for shooting video during a shoot. | 10% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 9% Nice pictures - Life span less than a hampster March 17, 2017 Took decent pictures. Good on batteries. Purchased 09/2015 and used mostly at a food plot to get pictures of the critters using it or passing through. Did use for some videos too. Went to check it in March 2017 after it had been out for 8 weeks. Was going to replace the batteries and memory card and leave it there. Opened it up on the tree and a table spoon or two of water ran out of it. I still haven't figured out where it was leaking, but it ran for two weeks before it suddenly fogged up and then a few days later stopped working. My guess is that it will not work going forward. If it does, my guess is it will continue to leak. Better longevity would have resulted in a higher rating. Works great for the price and with big game but has its drawbacks. September 8, 2016 I ran this camera for about 18 months straight with no issues in reliability and great battery life when taking photos. I was attempting a community diversity survey and not tracking game. The camera works great in hot conditions and records less false positives than expected. My camera, mounted on a tripod, was eventually tipped over by a Raccoon just before a thunderstorm, took on a small amount of water, and shorted out completely destroying the motherboard and my SD card with all my data. That's partially my fault for not staking down the tripod. However, the soil on the location I was monitoring is very sandy and drains extremely well, so I know the camera wasn't submerged in a puddle for an extended period of time. The water must have entered through the bottom of the case. That means this camera's seal is imperfect, at least when upside-down. It appears this camera is designed for recording large mammals (deer, coyotes, humans) and not meso-mammals (bobcat, fox, mink) or smaller. If you intend on recording only big game with the camera facing down a game trail then this camera should work perfectly for your needs. Photo and video resolution aren't spectacular which makes it hard for IDing small mammals and reptiles. The detection FOV is rather small making it hard to set the camera up for best detection results on small animals, especially if your desired location prevents you from placing the camera high-up or aiming it down the travel corridor. The delay between motion trip and photograph is long and combining this with the narrow detection FOV results in a lot of photos of hind-ends heading out of frame, especially with small agile animals like Mink and Otter. This applies to recorded video as well, most video I recorded were 2 seconds of posterior heading into the brush followed by dead air. If you just want a reliable camera to tie to a tree to record deer on a wildlife corridor or at a bait station or feed plot, then this camera will suit your needs just fine. If you want to survey meso-mammals moving perpendicular to your camera through a clearing, then you may want to buy a more sensitive camera. Good for big critters, not good for small ones. September 2, 2015 Ok for deer/bear size game, or humans. Effective range of the motion sensor is about 30 ft. Unfortunately the IR overexposes anything closer than 20 ft. Takes acceptable daytime photos. The motion sensor is not very sensitive. I got it for my backyard to try and capture images of the opossums, raccoon's and stray cats. It doesn't work for any of them. I know they are there because the bait (cat food) is gone in the morning. Easy to set up and the construction quality is good. I am going to take it up to my friend's cabin as he has bears, cougars and deer wandering around his property. Not Bad For The Price January 26, 2015 For the price this camera is not bad. There is definitely better cameras out there, but I was able to buy 3 of these for the price of 1 nice camera. I hunt in a club where I do not trust all of the members, and I would much rather have one of these stolen than a camera that I spent over $100 on. With the resolution set at its highest the day pictures are good, but the night pictures are low quality. If you want to see a clear detailed image, don't buy this camera. Also, I wouldn't recommend this camera for long distance shots; I would say 30-40 ft. max. It does not use up batteries too fast. Easy to operate. I recommend this camera for someone who needs an inexpensive camera using it at closer distances and does not mind having low quality images. Camera stopped functioning after 2 years and 4 months, but took nice and clear pictures while it worked November 26, 2014 Update ** The camera took great pictures up until it died a couple days ago. It no longer recognizes the SD card. I've tried 3 different cards in it, formatted the cards multiple times and each time I insert the card, the display shows "nocard." It was purchased in October of 2014 and it lasted until February of 2017. ** This works very well. The pictures were nice and clear. Price was right. It has been out in the rain and snow with no leaks. Make sure you purchase a mini male to micro female USB converter adapter like this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JUPN39G/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2 if you want to view the photos on your computer. | 1% good product, but not for alot of big jobs September 22, 2017 Was my fault for not reading better but work well for my 7 y.o. daughter to use for her items One worked, one didn't. October 30, 2016 We got these for my husband's game cams, and one worked, one did not. Sadly we were bummed, because the one we places the non-working one at, has the most activity. | 2% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 8% Not water resistant after less than a year of use November 14, 2016 I've had this camera for a little less than a year now. I can attest to some of the complaints that others have made (slow to trigger, illegible display) but those aren't showstoppers for me. The issue that has emerged that IS a showstopper for me is the poor resistance to rain. I have moved the camera around in the last year and now have it attached to a tree in a clearing. The tree protects it from rain slightly but obviously not when the leaves are gone. In the past few months, I've discovered that the camera isn't waterproof at all or even water resistant. Whenever it rains now, the seals leak (apparently) and water collects inside the exterior case. It can collect to the point where the batteries short out and it shuts down. I have to open the case, let the water drain out and allow everything to dry out so the lenses don't have fog on them. Other reviews have me thinking that the problem is because I have the camera slightly tilted down and the water is seeping into the seals but I don't think that's the problem. I've inspected the seals and there is no obvious damage and the camera hasn't been subjected to rough use. So I think there is no excuse for the poor water resistance. Because of this, I won't buy this camera again. SLOW trigger speed September 27, 2016 SLOW trigger speed. From a photography perspective you need light to reduce exposure time so that you don't get blurry picture of moving object. With very little moon exposure time was 1/10th of second which means night pictures are blurry since IR lights weren't really effective. IR lights worked out to 30+ feet. If the object is moving towards or away from camera picture is better but it also has to trigger motion. Slow trigger speed meant it might catch myself walking by IF, repeat IF, I was far enough from the camera. I didn't like the strap either. It was long enough to go around most trees but was awkward. Would rather have strap with clips. If I had kept the camera I'd replace strap. I'm returning it and will get one that works better. I purchased 2 stealth game cameras based on the great reviews and I'm very disappointed March 24, 2016 I purchased 2 stealth game cameras based on the great reviews and I'm very disappointed. I own bushnell, scoutguard and moultrie cameras and by far the stealth is the worst. The clarity of the photos are very poor. I set the camera on the 6mp setting and the pictures are maybe a 4mp. The daytime photos are ok, but I don't believe they are a 6mp quality. My bushnell 6mp camera takes much better quality pictures. The night photos are fair to poor. If your looking for a camera that takes pictures but you don't care about the clarity of the photo then the stealth camera is the right one for you. However, there are other game cameras on the market around the same price that take much better pictures. Not too happy so far. September 15, 2015 I have watched with my own eyes as deer walk past this camera and eat from my feeder not more than 10 feet from it. I have yet to get ONE image from this camera accept when I am setting it up and my face is directly in front of the lens. I have a different brand camera not more than 200 yards that will capture 300-400 images a week of squirrel, opossum, raccoon, deer, coyotes, turkey and the occasional bobcat. I have read the manual front to back and tested the camera before I walk away. Every time I check it the SD card, the only images are of me setting it up. It is as if the camera goes into sleep mode and doesn't wake up. Save your money March 7, 2015 I was disappointed in the quality of night time pictures. I have 3 other cameras that use a flash and the picture quality was excellent. I decided to get one of these because they are supposed to be easier on batteries which the others are terrible on battery life. At night, any game over about 10 feet away is barely seen. The night time pictures are not clear even when the game is close enough to be seen. When I set up the camera, the display was messed up and I could not read if I was on the date or time or any of the other settings. So far, it has been better on battery life but that is about the only good thing I can say about this camera. Spend a little more money and get a better camera. | 2% Failed after one week September 30, 2017 The first one failed after only a week of usage; the message was "this is a read-only card". One Star Reviews: | 15% No good November 12, 2016 When this camera takes a picture, it is very clear. However, the only time it takes a picture is when the subject is right in front of the camera and no more than 5 feet away. We've tried changing the settings, changing the location, etc, it simply doesn't capture anything. We have several blank shots, so we don't know what triggered it. Very disappointed. We have had cheaper ones that worked much better. Waste of money, look elsewhere.. October 5, 2016 Can't believe how poorly this camera functioned. The triggering sensitivity is abysmal. Beyond about 15 feet a large object with significant movement is required to trigger the camera. I put two of these out the first night on a corn feeder to take pics of deer at the feeder, one at 10 feet , the other at 20. When I woke up in the morning, there were five deer at the feeder. I was excited to go and see what the camera had captured during the night. Nothing. Nada. Only the 'test' shots I had done right after setting them up where I repeatedly walked through the frame in daylight to get an idea of its sensitivity. Not even pics of the five deer I had seen on the feeder in the morning. It was proof that this camera was going to miss almost everything that it was intended to photograph. This camera also emits a bright red led from the IR LED's when it takes a pic. If you're attempting to use it for any 'security' type monitoring, it will easily be seen. I did set up the cameras again on a second night even closer to the feeder and finally got some night shots of some deer. Most were looking directly at the camera, so I think they noticed the IR LED's also. Most of the few night shots I eventually got were blurry. Not so happy July 9, 2016 I bought the stealth cam in mid Febuary and hung it on a tree straight away. We checked our cam every few days and was enjoying watching our wild life. It takes great pictures and we really liked having it. A few weeks ago we noticed it was not taking pictures anymore. After checking and changing the batteries it still is not working correctly. When we insert batteries cam just continues to blink and will not allow us to change modes or date and time. It will not reset or do anything but give a blinking screen Ughhh so fustrating. I really expected it to last a bit longer then five months. this is not worth the money for such a short life. Poor product April 22, 2016 I've just scheduled a return of this item for replacement. The one I received the text display was garbled, I couldn't read the menu descriptions. Tested the trigger range at 31 ft. Probably a 2-3 sec trigger delay time. Excellent daytime picture using a sandisk ultra class 10 SD card. Didn't test night shots. Going to try a replacement and see if that will do better, if it does I'll update the review accordingly. Update: Received a replacement today and sorry to say it's actually a little worse than the first one. Trigger time is probably 1/2 second slower. I'm going to keep the best one simply because it's here and should be ok to set up on a feeder. Interestingly, this thing senses passing objects better than one coming right at it so I wouldn't bother putting it on a trail. There are much better trail cams available for less than $100. 60 pictures per hour... November 20, 2015 Mine takes 1-3 pictures per minute regardless of the setting. Contacted Stealth Cam... very nice people... but after performing the steps, hard restart and get a lower power SD card, I still have the same issue. Stealth Cam said it would be 4-6 week turnaround for a replacement. I am currently exchanging the cam through Amazon customer service which is and always has been outstanding. I do hope the replacement performs better. Probably won't purchase from Stealth Cam again after I get this exchanged. Additionally... who would sell a product such as this without including the required SD card.? I get it, some people want more storage but a 2 GB card should come standard. Add 2.00 bucks to the price if that is what it takes but come on... get it right or don't sell it. | 2% Beware - mini size. September 21, 2017 These are mini cards, not the regular size. The product description does not say that in the title. I tried to return them as soon as they arrived (same day) and the seller did not accept the return.
