Five Star Reviews: | 55% I really like this Camera. July 27, 2017 Put this unit outside to monitor our chicken coop for any critter issues. The thing worked flawlessly even after I completely forgot about it. Went out a month later and it had pulled in 500 videos for both day and night, still had full power, and still had plenty of space on the 8GB memory. Looked through the footage and, even though branches had grown to block much of the view, it didn't constantly trigger on the leaves or foliage. Also used it in the house to catch a feline that decided to start using household spaces as a litter-box. Again, worked flawlessly! I gave it 5 stars because it worked perfect for what I needed June 14, 2016 I gave it 5 stars because it worked perfect for what I needed. I was trying to find out what type of critters I was dealing with, digging under my front steps and shed. Just using the default setting (and setting time and date) it caught the stinky little fellow red handed. I also was able to establish a pattern so I was able to find a way keep him out. It was also cool observing all the wildlife hanging out behind my shed. My wife thought it was a silly idea and a waste of time but once she seen the results she thought it was pretty cool. I barely scratched the surface of it's capabilities i.e. video and burst mode, but it did what I needed so I'm happy with that. nice, easy to use! November 17, 2015 This game camera comes with batteries (8 AA) and a 4GB memory card. It took about 10 minutes to figure out the set-up, clocks, etc... and it was ready to go! It is much easier to use than the other brand we has been using for the last 2 years. We haven't checked it out in the timber ye, but when we download the pics, I will post some. There are several settings available to use.... single photo, burst (several consecutive photos), or video. The first time, we are just using the single photo... every 30 sec there is movement detected. This is a nice, easy to use camera... more like a two acres April 8, 2015 For Christmas, my husband wanted a game camera so we could see what was roaming in our "back 40"... more like a two acres. Silly me... I bought an inferior product at a local store which was a lot more expensive. When he unwrapped the camera, he delicately suggested not opening it and looking at real reviews on Amazon. The locally purchased camera went back and we have loved the quality of this new camera. Economical,Reliable,Performs! and Recommended November 10, 2014 I love my Stealth Cam's. I have several other brands and models also that I use but Stealth Cam has really improved this year so I bought another version- The p18. I own high/mid priced cams in the $120- $180 ranges and economical in the $50 - $100 ranges. It used to really depends on what your comfort or knowledge level with electronics was that would determine what dollar range you bought. If you had the patience to read and figure out how to set a trail camera, you would go with the multi optioned high dollar cams. The higher the dollar the more options the cam had and the HARDER it was to program.That has all changed. Buy away based on what you want the camera to do now. They have made these so dang easy to program. I LOVE IT! Don't get me wrong, I have a good knowledge and have done them enough to program any of these but now they all have quick sets and custom settings to choose from. Pre programmed sets either toggles for my higher G30 model or dial for this one. I use my high end cams for setting where I am pretty sure game is and I want the up most detail on what exactly is there. I use the more economical for scouting areas not sure about BUT i feel confident in using anywhere. It so easy to set and go. These Stealth Cam have improved quality on these new cams big time. Great day and night pics and battery drain has gone to nothing. What an improvement in battery life. I love the economical version to loan to my buddies also, easy to set up for the new user and the pics are AWESOME! This version does NOT have sound, which is usually the difference in the economical versions. Sound is not a big deal to me in Texas. Has video and stills, burst and all. October 9, 2017 Just used it this weekend to check my cameras in the field. I have a Samsung S6 Android and no problems. They recommend in the user guide to install a certain free file browser app. You open that app, then plug the device into your phone and it instantly pulls up your pics. You can view, save, delete, etc. Perfect for hunters with multiple cameras in the field and not a lot of time. No more carrying the iPad into the woods with me. This cheap little device is perfect. Also, it is fast. For example, one camera had 305 pictures on it. It took about 20 seconds to load them onto the phone for viewing from this device. (Saving is a separate operation.) I think that's pretty fast. I deleted the 305 pictures in about 10 seconds when I was done, and put my camera back up for more trail camera coverage. To save it may take a little more time, because then it is using your phone's resources as well. Anyway, if you're a hunter with a trail camera, you NEED this! (Assuming it is compatible with your phone) Easy to use, crystal clear photos. June 27, 2017 This is absolutely a great device. I have several game cameras and now I can take my phone and this device to each camera and view the SD card. It takes a few moments to load but it goes right to my photo app on my phone in its own folder. Just click and view. This also gives me the power to extreme zoom the photos for extra detail. The camera viewer loaded up with no issues and without me having to do anything. Crystal clear pictures that are easy to view. I used this on an Droid Maxx by Moto phone. Great product April 25, 2017 Prior to getting this SD card reader I would carry my laptop around with me. Often times, I would not even check my cameras until the batteries died because of this. Now, I just leave this card reader in my hunting backpack and its ready to go whenever I need it. It works very well, it is reliable and it transfers the pictures quickly. Naturally if you are trying to transfer videos it takes a little longer so I would suggest just transferring pictures to save time. Other than that, great product and I highly recommend it to anyone with a android. Works great on my fathers android phone July 11, 2016 Works great on my fathers android phone. He uses it with multiple different game cameras and never has a problem. He is able to have the pictures sent to his email and saved to his phone effortlessly. What a great product!! December 7, 2015 I wanted to wait until after deer season to give this a fair review. After using it everyday for since November 15th I can only say that the BoneView card reader is tremendous. Every morning I removed the SD card from my Moultrie 990i and replaced it with an empty card, then go back to my blind and review the pics on my Droid Turbo 2. This card reader worked flawlessly every time and I couldn't be happier. On the Droid phones you must go to SETTINGS, STORAGE, then UNMOUNT SD CARD prior to removing the reader from the phone. If you fail to do this you may mess up your SD card and you will have to reformat it prior to using it again. Trail Cam Card Reader - Easy to Use and Very Clear Photos September 16, 2015 Card reader works great with out S6 Samsung phone and 880 Moultrie cameras and Browning cameras (I forget the model, but they are less than a year old). We download the free file manager app as suggested in the instructions. Card reader is very easy to use and photos are very clear on our camera. The only thing that I don't like is it is a little slow viewing photos because you can't just "scroll" from one photo to the next. You have to go back to the folder after viewing each photo. It is possible that I have not figured out how to scroll yet. Someone please post up if there is a way to do it. Overall I am very happy with the card reader and would buy it again.On Edit 1: Apparently you can scroll through the photos by first copying all the photos from the card to the phone. All you have to do is download a free app called(I-Flash Device) put your SD card in. By the way it excepts two different size SD cards. I would like to see a more robust design for the adapter November 21, 2016 i've used this with my iPhone7, my iPad and a Windows 10 lap top. It works well for the pictures on all 3. The videos from my WildGame Innovations camera work (AVI format) on my Win10 laptop, Not so much on my iPhone. I have an Otterbox on my iPhone so I have to use the adapter. There is no problem with the adapter, but it does seem to be a little flimsy. I would like to see a more robust design for the adapter. Overall I am very satisfied with the device. Works Perfect October 25, 2016 Works perfect. Easy to use. No need to remove iPhone from its protective case. Comes with extension but not needed for my case, but my buddy used the extender with his Otter Case and said he had to buy an extender for his viewer sold by someone else. His pictures are not numbered and he is always searching for the best pics he passed by in the list. These pictures are numbered, timed and dated to find again quickly. Easy to text or email straight from the App. Not happy June 4, 2016 This worked great the first time i used it now my app that they recommended says it is faulty. What is going on? Great camera for price February 25, 2016 Great camera for capturing high quality pictures of deer and smaller animals. Night shots are very clear. Only con is that it is a bit tricky to get set up the first time but once set it is easy to use. Holds up to 32 GB card and have never came close to filling it up. Highly recommend this camera. It is my first go at something like this so I went in kind of blind January 29, 2016 worth the money. I bought this to catch some night visitors of nature in my yard. It is my first go at something like this so I went in kind of blind. It seems that the subjects have to be closer than I expected so my keepers are a small percentage of the shots taken. It is pretty simple to use, I like that. If I knew more I may have given this 3 stars but I have nothing to compare to so that would have been unfair. Image quality is fine for most purposes. Can read or copy from SD card (included) or plug in USB cable (not included but the one from my GPS works just fine). Only issue is the trigger time when something comes into view. I've been testing with stray animals in my yard and never has it shown one entering frame. They magically just show up in the middle of the frame. In the near future, I plan to do some distance checks to see where/when it activates best. I would purchase another as it's easy to use and a good deal for the price. Great value camera August 17, 2015 Great value camera. Daytime photos look great, and the nighttime photos are clear and not as blurry as most IR flashes. Battery life is great as well. I would buy again 🙌 Good directions on setting it all up November 30, 2015 Worked as described. No more waiting to look at pictures. I pulled the cards out and viewed them while on stand. You need to download an app to your phone to make the reader work. The app has two versions. One free and the other was 3.99. The free only lets you view only. The 3.99 lets you edit and share photos by email and text. Its a must have if youre into trail cams. Gave 4 stars due to having to buy the 3.99 app to get full function. Good directions on setting it all up. Super easy to use; convenient for the hunter November 24, 2015 Bought for my husband to check his game cams with. It was a hassle to take his laptop with him to the woods every time he went. So far, he loves it. He has used it a few times without any problems. The only reason I didn't rate it five stars is because he said he didn't like the order that the pictures downloaded to his phone. There may be some way to re-organize them, we just have not figured it out yet. Good Products November 4, 2015 Use this on my Samsung Galaxy S5. I always seem to break cameras and cant see spending $60-$100 for a card viewer just to check trail camera pictures so figured I'd try this out. I like this cause its small and simple. Only down side and its most likely my phone is its a little slow loading pictures. other than that its great I like being able to load and save my pictures to my phone. Great product Great customer service October 22, 2015 This specific model did not work on my Note 4. I performed all the suggestions through the app and help section on the site but couldn't get my phone to recognize the device. I contacted the company for help with the issues and he sent me a different model after a couple emails back and fourth that tried to get this model to work. It was great having someone who was so eager to help.The new model number is 1BD024. I suggest you find this one if you have a Note 4. It worked perfectly after I downloaded an app that would play the .avi extension. It will play, download to your phone, delete, and format your card all from your phone. I carried around a small camera to view photos in the field before but still had to bring it home to put in my laptop to save the pics and then transfer them to my phone so that I could show to other hunters. All these extra steps have been eliminated with this small device. Plus the camera wouldn't view cards that had multiple folders.Once again great product and excellent customer service. Happy boneview card reader owner December 7, 2016 I have recently purchased the card reader from bone view and due to the end of our season, I have not been able to use it for the normal use of my cameras. But what I did was, set up a Camera within the house and took pictures and videos with just the motion that goes by the camera in our every day life and read the SD card from the camera on the boneview card reader and it is very simple to use and very compatible with my iPhone 6s. I can't wait till next season to see deer and animals I capture in the bush as I scout for hunting.Happy boneview card reader owner. All in all, awesome deal, awesome product. November 7, 2016 Everything works as it should. Awesome little contraption. Only problem I've had so far is that, I tried to delete files after I viewed the pix in it, it jammed up and wouldn't show anymore files. I seriously thought I had somehow erased the entire card somehow. All I had to do is to remove it, and restart the process. Worked like a charm ever since. But, I have started waiting to erase using my game cam, it's just easier to use it than my phone and this reader. Not to mention, way faster!!!! All in all, awesome deal, awesome product. I've kept it near the house capturing critters such as skunks, armadillo, owls, our puppies and the occasional family member. Lately, I've had it both tree and tripod mounted, pointing squarely at the flower bed - turned archaeological dig by morning. Excited and convinced I'm about to learn who the nocturnal grub snatcher is, I slip into my shoes, race out to the camera, grab the memory stick, slap it in the PC with the haste of a kid on Christmas morning. Only to find a picture of... my shirt. Good device, bad service May 4, 2017 Item was shipped quickly HOWEVER the supplied and paid for Duracell AA batteries-- with a use -by -date of 2025 were dead on arrival. A call to customer service of Stealthcam at 1-877-269-8490 just got me the usual " we are sorry etc" script. Nobody wanted to provide serviceable replacement batteries. One of the advertised plus points for this device is the inclusion of batteries, I guess they did not say that the batteries would actually work, Downgraded because of customer support . not dependable. September 16, 2016 I have gone through a number of hunting cams in the hope that I can find one that is affordable and yet dependable. Stealth Cam did not hold up to those hopes. It has taken some nice images in the 10 sec vid mode yet it failed to keep its date and time for the images. Later after resetting the date and time it still didn't remain accurate. I have also seen some deer from my window that passed right in front of the cam and it was not recorded. Not what you want to have going on. ... it does pick up something the picture is usually pretty good but it doesn't seem to be triggering when ... It did not sync with my Samsung Rugby phone, although that phone is a little outdated. I connected it to my Samsung Tab Pro however, and it worked like a dream. I would highly suggest checking to see if your phone is compatible with this product before buying it. After I found a compatible device it made checking the cams a lot easier. The motion detection however is crummy September 29, 2016 Doesn't capture enough, lawn gets torn up all the time, this never get pics of the critters doing it. I don't know if they are too small (Armadillos) or if they just move too slow, but camera pointed right at effected area and doesn't capture anything. Was reviewing pics and all of a sudden there was a strangers face, but no pics of the guy driving down my driveway, very strange. Only reason 2 stars is picture quality is good. The motion detection however is crummy. Very low sensitivity on the motion sensor February 7, 2016 Very low sensitivity on the motion sensor. Only triggers to take pictures when the target object is within 20 feet or so. Very disappointing. Pure Junk! November 8, 2015 Terrible buy! The camera does not detect movement unless the subject is very close, like 6 to 8 feet, from the camera. And then the object has to be large, like an ATV or such. The field of view is small also, like 10 feet square at a distance of ten feet.. Don't buy this piece of junk! If you do, throw it away and get a better one, but keep the batteries, chip and mounting strap. In my opinion, this item is bad. I have had this out in several different locations including fence rows, in the woods and in/around my home. Pictures are very low quality in both day and night. I am comparing this to low end Moultrie and Wildgame cameras that I own. Considering I paid $55 for a 2mp Wildgame that takes much better photos, I am not happy about this camera costing more and having lower quality photos. They are very blurry, especially when animals are moving. I will continue to adjust the settings and play around with it, but I would not recommend buying this particular model. If you enjoy getting footage and photos back like I do, please pay a little more and get yourself a good trail camera. You know the time invested into setting these up and waiting for results. Getting them back with bad pictures is just disappointing. NOT THE SAME Trailcam QUALITY OR detection range as past duplicate cameras. I just learned there is only a 30 day return policy..I thought the goods were warranted for the full 12 months. This may be the last camera I buy thru AMAZON. October 22, 2016 I bought this Viewer after reading the chart which said what phones it would or would not work with. My model was not in the phone will NOT work list. When the viewer arrived I opened it and followed the instructions for down loading the app to make it work. The viewer did not work, next theinstructions tell you to load other apps that might work. I tried those and had the same result, it did not work with my phone. Also in the instructionswas an app to see if your phone would work with the viewer at all. I wish they would give you that app up front, so you could try it before you bought the viewer. The app told me right away that my phone would not work. would have saved a lot of time and cost as well if I could have had the information about the app first. My phone is a LGL33L smart phone. I have an IPhone, he has an Android. I thought it would be easy for him to read his SD cards off his camera's in the woods. They neglect to tell you that it is not compatible with all android phones. There is no phone number to call for help. All questions have to be done through email. Wasn't good for my husband, so we sent it back. Got a Wildgame Innovations trail pad to read his SD cards and video's instead. That worked great! Tech support is not very helpful. August 31, 2016 It's probably ok but I'm having problems scrolling thru the pics. May be a software issue but I bought the recommended apps. In person tech support is non existent so only recourse is emails and not much help there so far. Still working on it. Unfortunately it didn't work for me on my tablet or my phone all I got was an error message saying "damaged storage". I thought maybe my card was damaged but it said the same thing on a second card. I pulled the micro SD from the reader and plugged it directly into my tablet and it worked fine. So the only reason it got two stars was because it came in only 3 days and before my trip back to the woods. If anyone has an answer for me please post it I'm desperate! This device could be great for me if I can get it to work. DOA, and you have to pay shipping on returns. November 2, 2015 Two stars for the concept. Mine was broken out of the box, I cannot seat the SDHC card correctly and receive an error when the phone tries to read it. Tried on the tablet as well, it can sometimes see the card but never the contents. For the record, the card reads fine on my PC, always has. I cannot comment on whether the other slots work, I bought it specifically for the SDHC card in my Moltriecam. Too bad ....poor customer service Too complicated for custom set up June 6, 2016 This camera is way to hard to program in the custom mode, I have a Primos game camera and there is no comparison in how easy they are to set up. First of all most of the custom options are not readable as depicted, I could only figure out what they stood for by viewing the training video. Too many steps for custom and could be much simpler. I have wasted too much time and suggest that the manufacture design something that is intuitive so you don't need to watch a video several times to custom program the device. I am buying another camera today and it will NOT be a stealth product. Five Stars November 14, 2015 Takes great pictures, now I need to figure out how to get the clock set. Not water proof. I basically had to wave my hand in front of it for it to take a picture consistently. I used it once in front of a can of meat i set out overnight to lure in animals, meat was gone and no pictures were taken. Took it back inside and used test mode more extensively (first time i just walked back and forth in front of it) and found that it would pick up my border collie maybe half the time at 10 feet, at the perfect angle. My chihuahua had to walk right up to the camera to set it off. Ive used cameras in the $60 range that were much better. Sending this one back | 18% Excited to get this, but it was a dismal ... November 2, 2017 Excited to get this, but it was a dismal failure. It worked on my samsung phone, but not on my husbands HTC phone. With the suggested apps on the samsung, it only "scrolled with one app, not the other, and both apps were so full of ads cleverly popping up as app functions that it wasn't worth sorting through. Virus, this, manage memory that, so on and so forth. Boneview needs to develope their own app. I started a "support ticket" and all I got was links to an outside source trying to show how to accsess different setting etc. Spent an hour-15 hours trying to get satsifactory results. Sent it back. Should be plug and play. Not worth the time or energy I invested in it. Note to Boneview, hire you a kid or two, park them at a help desk and train them to talk folks through set-up... Does not work unless each device you wish to view pics on has their software installed. December 18, 2016 This product reformatted my SD card so that I had to download their software in order to view the pictures. The SD card is now ruined and cannot be read by any other devices.I returned the card reader and threw away the SD card. September 16, 2017 I purchased this product to view my SD cards for my trail Cams. I read the reviews about it not working but chose to try it. I was able to use it for a couple of months but it was never reliable. It would work one minute and then it wouldn't. I've downloaded, deleted, and reloaded all the apps. It's very frustrating when you are miles away from a computer and you can't get it to work. And of course now I can't return it. I would not recommend this product.
