Good bag for the price, kept me warm while my summer tent was being snowed on.
June 29, 2017
Went camping in late november in northern Wisconsin and it snowed that night. I was nice and toasty in this bag. Temps got down to upper 20's and I felt fine and we were sleeping in a summer tent (don't ask). It was a fun night and for the price this sleeping bag certainly handled the job. I don't know if I would use this for any lower than 20's though.
Kept me toasty warm in 20 degree weather!
June 26, 2017
Purchased this for elk hunting in the winter. Lowest the temps have gotten is in the 20's, but I stayed perfectly warm in a tent with this sleeping bag. I'm 5'9, 200, and there is plenty of room inside it for me. I don't feel cramped and my feet do not touch the end. My only complaint, and it's not enough to drop a star, but the carrying bag this comes in is very small. It sometimes takes 2 people to put this sleeping bag back into the carrying case.

*** Update ***

After using this bag a few more times for camping, I've figured out how to properly roll it up so it goes into the carrying bad more easily. Start at the top of the bag and fold it in half length ways. 3/4 down the bag where it tapers to a smaller size, leave that part unfolded. As you roll the bag up, the small end should be the same width as the top half when its folded. This will make the size of the bag rolled up smaller, and it will go into the bag easier.

At first, I would fold the bag in half all the way down, then roll it up. This was making it too bulky to fit properly in the bag and would take 2 people to put it in. Now, I can roll it up and have it back in the bag in about a minute.
Great bag.

Great bag, keeps me super warm, I live in Colorado and do lots of camping and in the cooler months , this bag has been great . I actually became hot throughout the night ,when it was about 20 degree out side and snowing.
I love the hood part , you can wrap your pillow in it and then pull the strings to fit your comfort level.
Zippers work great can pull up when inside bag .
Stuff sack is okay, I'd like it if was a little smaller . It's a little two big for back packing, which sort of sucks ,bc this is one reason why I got the bag .
Other than that , it's a great bag .
Easy to carry
September 28, 2016
Sent my son to a Boy Scouts camp for a week and this bag worked perfectly for him. Easy to carry, kept him plenty warm and didn't take up a lot of room when sharing a tent w 2 other teenage boys. I found out the material is very resilient because he left a pair of socks in the bottom of the bag which stunk to high heaven when I went to use the bag a few weeks later! I opened the bag and aired it out while we went hiking and you couldn't smell anything when we got back. I slept in it just fine. Thanks for keeping me warm and not having to suffer my son's smelly-sock mistake! Great product.
Great value for the price!
May 3, 2016
I recently purchased this sleeping bag for my camping trips with the boy scout troop I help lead. I was pleasantly surprised by how light it is for the warmth it provides. I also found it to be quite roomy for my 5'9", 155 lb body. On my first camping trip with this bag, the low temperature during the night was supposed to be around 40 degrees. As this is supposed to be a 0-degree bag, I thought I would test how warm it is by not wearing any warm clothing to bed. I got a little cold during the night, but I warmed back up once I pulled the drawstrings tight. I really like that there are two separate drawstrings--one right below your neck to keep most of your body warmth in, and a second around the hood to keep your head warm. I haven't had a chance to use the bag again yet, but I imagine you could keep pretty warm in colder temperatures (maybe not quite 0 degrees), especially if you actually wear something warm to bed. I know people complain about the difficulty of packing up mummy bags. I didn't find this one very difficult to stuff, but I have a fair amount of experience with this type of bag. Overall, for the price, I think this sleeping bag is hard to beat.

Nice sleeping bag, very light
June 17, 2017
This is a great sleeping bag for not too cold weather. I don't think I would want to sleep in it below 40 degrees. It's light, rolls up into a compact roll and was quite comfortable to sleep in. Very pleased
Just what I needed
March 5, 2017
Went camping last weekend and slept through temperatures ranging from 65-25F. I know this isn't meant for temperatures below 30, so I just wore more clothes to bed. I never got too hot and it kept me warm enough throughout the night. Its also comfortable and light weight. I didn't even attempt to put it back in the bag because the straps work just fine at keeping it rolled up.
Great, Down to Freezing (without the price tag and hassles of Down) and Beyond!
February 27, 2017
Wow! Rated only for ten degrees warmer than the last bag I destroyed (caught a lightweight throw in the zipper, a no-no) volumetrically, this bag is virtually half the size and weight of the 20-degree job, and is fabulous value for a sleeping bag. Don't get me wrong, I love a good bag as much as the next guy, but $200 plus for a bag is a bit steep for a simple guy like me, and I like good value. This is it. If you're camping out of the trunk of a car or SUV, this bag's for you. On the other hand, if you're camping out of some RV, well, you're not really camping, anyway. If you're hiking the Appalachian trail, or some such, you might want to shell out the extra $200 for that North Face, after all...But if you're anything like me (highly unlikely, and consider yourself fortunate) you like good value, or as they say in slimy financial-circles: 'ROI'. Oh, and if 'The Little Woman' happens to throw you out on your ear, you'll love the comfort this bag provides, and as long as your winters aren't in North Dakota, hey, you'll be 'snug as a bug' in this...
Great product and definitely worth buying
December 8, 2016
I just took this sleeping bag up to science camp with my 5th graders and not only did this keep me warm in a chilly cabin, it was also thin enough to not overheat. It's a great sleeping bag and is of really great quality. The interior isn't really flannel but it is very soft and very comfortable to sleep in and the fabric does not stick to your skin if you get warm at night. The easy roll is just an added bonus.

COMFY!! My 6 & 7 year old boys looked forward to sleeping in these! They absolutely loved them. I used two as sheets for my air mattress, best sleep ever. I love the inside material of these sleeping bags.
Warm, comfy sleeping bag
May 28, 2015
I'll start off by saying that i didn't buy this for actual camping. I bought it so that I could wait in line overnight for tickets to Saturday Night Live (anyone who lives in NY knows that this is really the only way to get tix unless you know someone). I needed something that would keep me warm towards the end of the fall while also keeping me comfortable sleeping outside on the concrete sidewalk. This was great for that. The temperature was easily in the low thirties that night, and I wasn't cold at all. Most people on line around us were jealous of our warm sleeping bags while they sat shivering. Overall, I think this is a great sleeping bag, and I am going to keep it in case I decide to go camping in the future.

Nice!
February 19, 2017
Seriously impressed with this bag! I looked for awhile and liked the versatile temperature range. I live at 9000 ft elevation and it gets cold. It also gets hot when we have cabin roasting.... it isn't as well suited for the hot temps but I would rather it be better suited for cold anyway. Big Velcro patch is a tad annoying. But overall very thick and fluffy bag :)
nice bag
September 3, 2016
Works great for keeping warm but the leg portion of the bag is kinda tight and uncomfortable. I guess that's part of the design and may have intentionally been designed that way to keep legs warm. I used it in 20 degree weather and it held up great. Slept with a tshirt and shorts.
Good sleeping bag for avg. size people
March 31, 2016
I do like this sleeping bag, but Im going to return mine. I got mine the other day. I just got into it to try it out . Its to narrow for me to be comfortable. Im 6'3'' - 290 lbs so its to narrow for sure. As for tall people, I'd say 6 feet is the max for a guy or gal to be comfortable in this sleeping bag. Also, if one were to be slender, that would be a must for this bag. Overall...if you are over 6 feet tall and large... this sleeping bag is not the one for you! (in my opinion).
I have no comment regarding the temperature range of this bag since I tried it out in my living room.
Great economical bag...I put it to the test
November 22, 2015
I bought this bag from Amazon recently for an upcoming backpacking trip in the Appalachians in anticipation of cold weather. It fit in my backpack (with some difficulty) and yes, its weight does not make it an ideal sleeping bag for backpacking, however, I was so pleasantly surprised at how warm this bag kept me. Two nights of temperatures in the upper 20's proved to me this is the sleeping bag I will be bringing with me for any season but summer. I had an inflatable mattress below me which only added to the comfort and warmth. I am not a young person so keeping warm is a greater challenge for me and I was very pleased with this purchase.
PROS: hood keeps your head warm
Chest baffle holds in heat
Foot area not too confining
Warmest sleeping bag I've ever owned--well worth the extra space and weight
CONS: zipper does not bind up but very difficult to get zipped up
Takes some effort to get back into stuff sack
A little more confining than a standard bag but still adequate for me (5' 8" tall, 250 lbs, broad shouldered)
Perfect for car camping, bulky for backpacking
December 28, 2014
This is the third of this bag that we have purchased for kids in our family. The bag has proven warm enough for basic car camping, and most backpacking. It is quite heavy, and is VERY bulky. It is very difficult to even fit it back into its original stuff sack, but kids age 10 and up have figured it out. On cold nights we throw on an extra blanket but it is usually kicked off by morning. 12 year old son has used it for short overnight backpacks, but for anything longer, I would say this adds too much weight and bulk to a pack. We have had several of these for many years and been very happy with their durability. Zippers work great and stuff sacks have held up well.

Very nice product
September 26, 2017
This sleeping bag seems well made, comes with a nice stuff sack, and the two little "toggles" that help keep the bag aligned while you roll it up are a nice feature. It is comfortable and reasonably warm (though we've only used it camping in summer so far in the Pacific Northwest, with lows in the mid-40's. The reason I didn't give it five starts is that there is an annoying string sewn into the bottom of the bag (which you are supposed to wrap around the bag when it is rolled up to hold its shape), but it just got in the way and was a trip hazard as you are trying to get out of a tent. Not really needed, either, since to fit into the cover you have to compress and roll the bag much tighter than the strings would allow for. Anyway, cut that off, and the bag is fine.
Fuzzy inside
August 30, 2017
Nice old school sleeping bag shape with new school warmth, & even fuzzy inside. It does take up much more room that a stuff sack type, but it was great for camp. My daughter stayed cozy on the Northern California coast, unlike the year before in a different bag.
Decent bag for price
August 11, 2017
These are pretty comfortable and held up in the wash quite well. The only downside was the length. I am 5"7 and I felt like this bag wasn't tall enough for me. Also, the material inside is a bit scratchy; however, I am hoping it will improve with time. Overall, a decent purchase at an inexpensive price.
Slept well during our trip!
July 28, 2017
My boyfriend and I purchased two of these for a trip to the Berkshires this week. The bags are soft, easily re-rolled into their bags, and easily connect to create one big sleeping bag! I have a particular issue with "microfiber" ish linings or fabrics that catch on your skin, but wearing socks while I slept completely remedied this issue. We slept comfortably in weather that ranged from 65-45 during the night. If kept me warm during the colder evening (40's) and I get cold easily! I highly recommend this bag for cool weather!
Great product.
July 17, 2017
Only complaint was that in description it told me I was getting a 6'4" sleeping bag and I ended up getting a 5'11" one. Unfortunately wasn't going to flget it replaced in time for a canoe trip so sucked it up and used it. Now as a product it was great. I stayed very warm even though the temp dropped down to the 40s. Also there was a thunderstorm and water got in the tent, even though the outside of the sleeping bag got wet, the inside where I was stayed completely dry which is important. Great quality, great look, great buy.
Fine bag with one complaint
April 22, 2017
Bought it for my son for his school outing. No complaints about the sleeping bag, but fitting it back in the case is a nightmare. It does come with nylon cords to tie it closed though. Thank goodness since there is no way that we are getting it back in the case.

February 26, 2017
I bought this for boy scout Klondike derby this past weekend. Well it turned out to be 70 degrees during the day and 36 at night. This particular bag had cold spots that made the bag chilly at 36 degrees. Also I got the large bag as I am 6 ft 2 in while the length was good. It is extremely narrow making it very tough to zip up.
Good "Chilly" weather bag if your on a budget, but def not a 0* Bag.
February 6, 2017
First trip out put these guys through a decent test. Weekend trip that saw overnight temps in the low teens. Had a decent tent setup with several layers of insulated padding. But still had to wear thermals and a coat to be able to sleep the first night in 16*. Second night had to switch to double bagging and a blanket to finally be comfortable. This bag is OK for more in the range of 30's and above. As far as quality out of the bag the stitching and seams were good. The bag fits me well. I'm 5' 10" medium build. Only workmanship problem was a broken zipper pull tab on one of the bags right out of the box. (Not designed with a strong enough pull tab for the type of zipper they use, so i foresee they might break easily.) Had it been advertised as a 25-30* bag i might have been OK with giving it 4 stars. Good for 3 season chilly truck camping, but definitely not a 0* bag.
chilled to my bones despite a good sleeping pad
December 27, 2016
I'd say it's true extreme rating is around 10 and it's comfort level is gonna be around 25. Woke up after just an hour asleep outside with the temp down to 14F, chilled to my bones despite a good sleeping pad, warm liner, and dry tent. My 20° slumberjack bag is warmer than this one

It's OK but there are better options out there
August 22, 2017
Does the job, but it's not great for cold weather and I don't really like the way you have to roll it up to pack it back in the bag. I wish it was "stuff it in the bag" kind. The cord on my carrying pouch snapped after the 2nd time it was used, making it even more of a chore to pack this up.It's also not very small/compact when it's packed up in the carrying pouch so it takes up a lot of space.
Small!
July 24, 2017
I'm 5'11" male and it says it's for 5'11" and my shoulders where sticking out of this thing. And I could roll in this thing too tight. More for a child or a woman. We zipped two together and it helped with my wife but it put us on top of each other good for her bad for me.
Love the sleeping bag well made
April 22, 2017
Love the sleeping bag well made, a little problem with the zipper but not enough to cry about considering the price was at the sweet spot for a decent quality sleeping bad.

February 9, 2017
WARNING!!! THIS IS NOT THE SLEEPING BAG IN THE DESCRIPTION! This is the Coleman palmetto, the big and tall bag that fits up to 6ft 4in is a different bag. That being said, it fits up to 5ft 11in but I am 6ft 2in and it still fits comfortably and keeps you plenty warm so no need to return.
Not for me
September 6, 2016
These came to me damaged in shipping so I sent them back. However I probably would have sent them back anyway since I didn't really like the fabric on the inside and they weren't quite long enough. Also from how thin they felt I doubt they would have actually been comfortable down to their rated temperature.
Good bag but be careful washing it
March 3, 2014
I bought this to take for a weekend camp that was indoors. It is a nice bag, but I do agree with the others who mentioned that it is easily snagged on the inside. It is a nice weight and is a good bag; however, I have serious issues with packing it up again once you take it out of the bag. Three of us tried to roll the bag up tight enough to get it back into the bag and never could get it tight enough to use the cords to hold it together and trying to squeeze the sleeping bag into the carrying bag is next to impossible! It is just too, too small for this bag. A friend of mine told me she got one of these for her son and that once it was washed, it would be easier to get it into the carry bag, so I decided to wash mine. That was a mistake! I washed it alone on the delicate cycle and then put it in the dryer on the low heat setting. I had to dry it a couple of cycles, but when I took the bag out of the dryer, I noticed several places where the it was ripped or melted and the stuffing is coming out. It shouldn't do that when it is done on the delicate cycle and the low heat setting. I feel as though I wasted my money since after using it for only 2 nights, it is torn.

Ridiculously large mummy bag
May 30, 2017
Product is incredibly large for a mummy sleeping bag. Does not compress to size stated on description. When I rolled up the sleeping bag and finally put it in the case, the rope tie at the case opening wouldn't even stay at the closed position I set it to due to the size of the sleeping bag.

The product overall is probably good and looks comfortable but if you are hiking, the size is a huge inconvenience.

Traditional bag...nothing special, not lightweight
Not so much!
April 13, 2017
I am 6' and 215. This bag is way too small for me. It's warm, but way to small, you can't even turn in it.
Too big, too heavy, and TOO COLD!
February 7, 2016
I bought this sleeping bag knowing it was too heavy for backpacking, thinking it would be worth the extra weight just so I wouldn't be cold during winter camping trips. I was wrong.
First off, this bag is enormous. Compression sacks do very little for this. You WILL have to strap it to the outside of your bag, unless you have a milsurp large ALICE bag, in which case it will fill over half of the storage space. I estimate it takes up 30L of space in it's stuff sack.

Second off, this bag is heavy. It's heavier than my tent, heavier than my backpack. It's actually the heaviest thing in my pack. That's somewhat to be expected as a cheap zero-degree bag, but let's observe that...

This is not a zero-degree bag. I took it on several camping trips with a low of 32F. It is only comfortable if you're fully dressed: multiple layers, jacket, two pairs of socks and a beanie. This last trip I went without the jacket and only wore one pair of thick wool socks, and was miserably cold all night. Note that this was 32F, and had the aid of a thermal reflecting sleeping pad. The description boasts comfort down to 15F. I'd argue probable survival at those temps, but not a cozy night.

I was prepared to make some sacrifices in weight to save money and still be warm, but in the end I was disappointed in all regards.
I would rate 1 star, but I must admit that it is warmer than my 40F Summer bag, and at least on this last trip I didn't die or lose extremities to frostbite. I would return this but I've had it too long and gotten it dirty. Be prepared to splurge on your sleeping bag or you will spend the night shivering, or worse.
Good and bad
December 25, 2014
Being 6'2 I guess I'm the max the sleeping bag can hold. And to answer any questions, yes it is very warm, but, don't expect to fit it back in the bag it came in. Also once your in, it's fairly difficult to zip it up and Velcro every thing. So if your a larger person i'd suggest choosing a different sleeping bag

Tricot liner sticks to my hands and feet.
June 1, 2017
Warm, well made, but the tricot fabric on the inside is 'tacky,' as in it sticks to my dry hands and feet....drives me nuts. I know, use (more...) lotion, but I'm going to return it on the account of the tricot fabric.
seems like it will break anytime
January 27, 2017
Just received the sleeping bag, it's very bulky and impossible to put it back to its bag. The zipper and fabric of the bag is weak, seems like it will break anytime. Will return and not recommended.
Not meant for Average/Heavy People- Impossible to put into storage bag again.
October 1, 2016
When i received it, it was nicely rolled, tightly in the sleeping bag bag it said it came in. It to quite a bit of effort to get it out of there as it was really tightly packed in there. When it came out finally, i was disappointed with how narrow this sleeping bag is. I am not a small woman, but i at least expected a decent sized sleeping bag. There is no way an average sized adult could slide into this comfortably. This is meant for those really skinny, and athletic types. I kept it because i needed the sleeping bag to sleep in the gym of the school for the sports team I was chaperoning. I use it opened all the way, as a blanket instead. If it weren't for the cots they gave the chaperones, my backside would have been cold through the night. Now this sleeping bag is warm, that i will give it. It does keep you plenty warm, and even too warm at points. The material on the outside is the usual plasticy material you see on sleeping bags. the inside is only slightly soft, with a plasticy feel as well. But you get what you pay for.Getting it back into the storage bag is nearly impossible. Once out it gets air inside of it, and doubles in size. If it weren't for the JROTC members at the school i was at, It would not have gotten back in there, and even then they broke open the zipper part of the storage bag just to get it in there.
Inside lining needs help!
January 3, 2016
Grandson Christmas Gift. The inside is awful! His PJ's stuck to the lining so he could not slide in.When I went to help my hands snagged the lining! I wish I had never bought this!
Do not buy to combine into two bags.
November 16, 2014
Many reviews mention the scratchy feel of the inside, this is somewhat present, but not a big deal in my opinion. Especially if you're actually camping in colder temperatures where you would be wearing clothing/socks/etc.My primary concern was that I purchased two bags to zip together and they do not zip together well at all. The zippers were EXTREMELY difficult to operate when combining the two bags and the proportions of the bags (at least as they applied to zipping the two bags together) were unbelievably off. Leaving a significant gap unzipped at the bottom-center of the bags, and one bag's zipper ending approximately 8 inches from the top of the second bag. They were so uneven that I got online to began the process of returning them within the hour. They seem like decent bags, but for my purposes I was shocked at the discrepancies in production between the two bags.
If I had known the quality was going to be so poor, I would have just gotten another junk one ...
July 30, 2014
Save your money. This is a Coleman? They have slipped. The zipper is buckling all the way around and it's a cheap plastic zipper to boot. Unfortunately, my son is leaving for camp ASAP and we are stuck with it. I purchased it to replace a cheap Walmart one with a cheap zipper. If I had known the quality was going to be so poor, I would have just gotten another junk one from Walmart. I checked the label, You guessed it. Made in China. My young son says it's comfortable on the inside with soft fabric. So, that's a plus for as long as this lasts. What a waste of money. I hate thinking that someone worked for slave wages making this.

I guess I didn't freeze to death in 60 degree weather but other than that I hate this bag. It's crazy bulky even for car camping. The material on the inside of this bag is horrible and clings to everything; grass, twigs, hair, dry hands, beards, etc. The stuff sack is a joke. I ordered three and ripped all three stuff sacks trying to remove the huge tag. Not that it mattered given that I need a 3-ton press to get the bags back in there even under ideal conditions.
