Five Star Reviews: | 73% Fits my XXL size and is warm on 10 degree windy nights June 27, 2017 I took this sleeping bag to the Grand Canyon in early may when temperatures at the rim at Mather Campground were still getting down to the low teens 12 and 14 degrees fahrenheit and I wasn't ever cold. A few details for your consideration: I'm 6'2" and weigh just over 300, I'm big around the middle and the shoulders and have never had a good night's sleep in a sleeping bag until I got this sleeping bag.My best tip for anyone considering taking this bag into seriously cold weather is to remember that every sleeping bag assumes you're wearing the appropriate attire for the climate you're in. So I wore thermals in this bag and I found myself getting a bit over heated at some points in the night. But by early morning when the temperatures really bottomed out and the wind kicked up something fierce I was grateful for this bags cinch cords to tighten the head space around my noggin to keep me warm.I would absolutely recommend this bag to any large people out there looking for something comfortable and capable of keeping you warm. This bag is serious though about heat preservation. As a big guy that generates my own heat I sometimes found myself too hot when the temperature outside was over 20 degrees F, but under 20 it was everything I could have asked for and more.Thanks TETON! Great cold weather sleeping bag. June 22, 2017 I was very happy with this purchase overall. First off I've never been a big fan of mummy bags being a guy that tosses and turns a lot, but most cold weather bags go that route. I camp regularly with my son's Boy Scout troop and this bag hit the spot. Haven't got to try it out in sub 20's yet, but I was very comfortable out of the gate on a trip that hit the mid 30's unexpectedly. The zipper is done well and the inner lining was comfortable. This is also the first bag I felt comfortable closing around my head without feeling a little claustrophobic. Also, this bag actually fits back in the stuff sack easily. It isn't lose or anything, but it just fits. My ... March 4, 2017 I am a short but very large man. My first time using this was on an 8 degree night, outside in Northern Wisconsin in the middle of February. The sleeping bag itself was very warm. I threw a body warmer down by my feet because they always get cold. The dual draw strings allow for sealing up against the cold. I use a portable CPAP when camping and had to keep the machine in the bag with me because it wouldn't operate in the cold otherwise. Plenty of room in this sleeping bag. At 7 pounds I doubt I'll ever take it backpacking, but it will be my go to cold weather car camping bag from now on! I am 5'1" and the sleeping bag was a perfect fit and lots of wiggle room left for me October 10, 2016 I bought this sleeping bag for my first ever fall camping trip with my friends. I've always been a summer camper, but never fall. To give some background/perspective, we went camping at Tobyhanna State Park out in PA, during the time with Hurricane Matthews was coming through. I am 5'1" and the sleeping bag was a perfect fit and lots of wiggle room left for me. My brother who is 5'9" decided to shove himself inside the bag with me. We both fit however, not recommended for sleeping.. Unless you like to sleep very still, shoulder to shoulder.The temperatures dropped to 40-36F and I was kept nice and toasty. I am a fairly cold person and this bag was pretty great. I was also wearing fleece pajamas and a thermo long sleeve shirt. When the night got chilly, you are able to tuck under the sleeping bag to keep your head warm and still breathe fine. The small cellphone pouched located near the zipper was a great addition. I would recommend this sleeping bag.The only con I have is that its pretty bulky and heavy, but if you're not backpacking then it's pretty good. Sleeping bag heaven! May 5, 2016 This sleeping bag is awesome! It does take up quite a bit of space and is a little on the heavy side for hiking long distance, even when fully compressed in the stuff sack, so make sure your pack is big. My girlfriend and I used it together when we hiked into the Snowmass Wilderness in Colorado. It was a bit snug for us both (I am 6'2 and 185 lbs, she is 5'8 and 145 lbs.), but as long as you are fine with spooning and don't need to sprawl out, it may work for two people. If you are a heavier person, it will be plenty big for you! If I used it by myself I could sprawl out to my hearts desire. Oh, and it is WARM! 5'8" and loving this size- good for rollers! February 7, 2013 So I was mulling over this bag made by Teton (90"x39") and their smaller version TETON Sports Celsius Regular -18 Degree C / 0 Degree F Flannel Lined Sleeping Bag (80"x 33"). I ordered the smaller version and just by looking at it felt claustrophobic. This is not even a mummy bag either. Here's a good way to break this down: the temperature threshold is the same for both bags, and they are made of the same material. So ultimately it's based on whether you like more space in a sleeping bag to roll in or like being tucked and taking as little space as possible. I would prefer the width of this bag (39") and the height to be 80", but Teton doesn't sell a bag that size. So me being a roller and mover at night, I want something with more width and space to move around in.This bag I felt was actually much easier to place into its carrying case than its smaller counterpart. When rolled up an in the carrying bags they only differ in size slightly. I felt that because this was a larger length and width bag, It would be a monstrous size when packing. Not so. It's only slightly bigger. I included pics to show you this XXL bag and the smaller version I purchased. My type of activity is merely visiting a ranch several weekends a quarter and sleeping under a tent in 24F weather. I do not do any trekking or multi-day camping (yet) where space might be extremely scarce. That is another thing to consider: if you are 5'10" and under, seriously ask yourself what you will be doing and approx. how much space will be available for you to sleep. This not only applies to the packing weight, but also the surface area you will be taking up if sharing a tent or limited ground space. Because space was not that dire of an issue for me, I opted for a little more comfort. If you want bare minimum size -relative to your height, consider getting the smaller bag. Those who are 5'11"+ and still want a narrow bag (36") should look at this product made by teton. TETON Sports Celsius XL -18 Degree C / 0 Degree F Flannel Lined Sleeping Bag (90"x 36", Green)This XXL bag states that is will hold up @ -18C/0F and fits people 5'6"-6'6". Some people are saying that this is a monstrous size bag and that if you are 300+ lbs it is made for you. I disagree. I'm 5'8" and 180 lbs. Yes this is a big bag when compared to a small bag. That's why it looks so big. But I hate small bags simply because when I toss and turn so does my sleeping bag. And by the next morning I will be curled along with my sleeping bag in some uncomfortable contorted position. The only place where I see it as large is simply its length. I do not need 90" of length. But if I have someone else sleeping in my bag with me, at least their height won't be discriminated by the bag. If I did not have a tent then I could actually slide lower into the bag and have my whole head covered in warmth. Also, having a wider bag allows for you to have more space vertically in your bag. The narrower your sleeping bag, the less vertical space you have. And whether you are claustrophobic or just like stretching your legs, you won't enjoy the smaller bag teton makes. I really like the quality and strength of stitching of the bag. It seems like I can get a lot of use from it and with its limited lifetime warranty, I can rest assured. | 68% With the pad and tent I slept like a baby July 5, 2017 I hit a home run with this product. With the pad and tent I slept like a baby. I have camped about a half year in my life and I thought I was through with it. The cot is easy to get up and down off of it. The pillow stays in place. I am a big guy and I was well supported. 1st night I didn't use the rain fly and enjoyed viewing the night sky. The second night thunderstorms blew in and I attached the rain fly. It rained pretty hard and I was dry all the time I was in the tent. I slept all night both nights and I have to say the cot and pad gave me the best night of sleep camping. May 21, 2016 What to do for the chez lounge as a couch surfer? Get this cot. Been sleeping on it for 23 days so far... and... i am sleeping great! A little observation to those of us who are using this cot long term as i currently am; a pad or twin mattress of some substantial density is needed for ultimate comfort. I have been utilizing firm outdoor chair cushions which work and fit a tight budget. Teton sells a cot pad but its price point is more than the cot. The swale of the cot is suited for those who sleep on their backs for use without additional padding. I am a side sleeper and after 4 days of no padding my comfortably level began to decrease. With the current set up their is no problem. Kinda neat to have room for my 42 pound on border collie and I on the XXL cot and their has been no competition for room( plenty o'room). Buy it, use it, cushion it if need be and this may be the first but will certainly be the last cot you ever need to buy. Great for an everyday bed July 4, 2015 I got this cot (and the TETON Sports Camp Cot Pad XXL and a 2 inch memory foam pad) when I got tired of patching holes in inflatable beds until I gave up and got a new inflatable bed. I work nights, my friend works days, and his wife has been bedbound for 15 years or so. I stay at his house while he is at work. So, this is not an occasional camping bed for me. It's the bed I use 5 or 6 days a week. If I was just using it for camping, it'd be fine by it's self or with the cot pad, but I wanted it a little softer since I use it most of the time. I got this a year ago and it is still working just fine for me. After a couple months, it sags in the middle a little bit but not that bad. Especially since it's not really intended as a permanent bed. After he recently was on vacation and so I didn't need to sleep there for a bit, I got used to my regular bed that doesn't sag in the middle. So I ordered a new cot but packed the old one up in case it's needed. It is easy to pack up and set up. I use the handle of a hammer as a lever to help put the end pieces on with no trouble but leave it setup for the most part. They just didn't want me getting a real bed in case they needed the room. A cot or inflatable bed is a lot easier to move out of the way. I am never going back to inflatable beds! It's cots and real beds from now on. Update: Can I get one that is not defective April 28, 2014 This is the second cot I ordered. The first one went together really nicely and was exactly what I expected. However, it looked like a dog had chewed the posts. There were teeth marks. So I asked for a replacement and I got it within 2 days. The minute I opened the replacement, I saw a hole in the fabric. Didn't even need to put it together to see it. This product is exactly what we are looking for, however I would expect one that is not chewed or torn. I asked for yet another replacement. I was told that they will get back to me. I will update the review when a replacement without defects is delivered. Update: Finally got one that was not defective. It is great. We originally ordered it for our cabin, but I have found another use for it. We are trying to transfer our son to his crib and I was easily able to set this cot up in his room while we work on this. It was easy for me to put up and take down. Great product Love this thing March 27, 2012 I am using my Teton XXL cot as my regular bed for the next year. I work as an Americorps VISTA volunteer for the American Red Cross. As a VISTA, I'm required both to relocate AND to live at the poverty level while serving. As you can imagine, furnishing a temporary space cheaply-but-adequately is a challenge. GREAT SOLUTION FOR VOLUNTEER ON A BUDGET This cot is such a great sleep solution in my situation for a few reasons. First, it's sturdy. I am nowhere near the cot's alleged weight limit. Even so, I will be using it every day to sleep on...so I figure that's gotta contribute more toward metal fatigue than if it was solely used for the odd night out camping. So far, so good. Second, it's cheaper than a new bed. That's pretty much obvious. Third, I can move this all by myself, without a moving van or helpers. That's awfully cool. Not only can I maintain my independence, I don't have to absorb the cost of moving it or leaving it behind when service is over. COMFORTABLE I have been sleeping on it without a pad and it is comfortable without one but I think it will be even better with one. The height is about bed height, too...when I sit on it, my legs reach the floor (I'm 5'8") just barely. There is enough leg room to really stretch out and you can toss and turn without feeling like you could accidentally throw yourself out of it. Four Star Reviews: | 15% Zipper broke, but got replacements right away August 30, 2017 I bought two of these bags for car camping in the Colorado mountains. The first night I went to use them, I zipped a left and a right together to create a big sleeping bag for two people. Very cozy and warm, I was impressed with the warmth given I was camping at almost 12,000 ft. However, at the coldest part of the morning, I discovered the bags had somehow come unzipped and the zipper was mangled and somehow misaligned. Huge bummer! I couldn't get them zipped back up, or unzipped to try and use them separately. This was really surprising given this was the first time I used them! Gaping hole in the bottom of the bags while trying to sleep the rest of the night was not enjoyable.Once I got back home, I wrote to Teton Sports on their website and told them what happened. Within 24 hours they responded, and sent me two brand new sleeping bags without question! Great customer service! I got our new bags, and am hoping the next time we go camping the zippers will hold up, because otherwise, these bags are great in terms of warmth, comfort and price! Very nice sleeping bag July 23, 2017 Very nice sleeping bag. Its not flannel inside, but its soft and comfortable. Be aware of your needs when you buy this. If you're not using it in cold weather, consider getting a lighter version. I bought it for a camping trip in WV in early May. Although I was in a cabin with no heat, this was too warm. A friend who was on the trip brought the lighter version of this and said it was perfect. In short, if you're camping in really cold weather, get this. If you're camping in temps above 30 degrees, get the lighter one. Zipper doesn't open it all the way to a blanket. April 25, 2017 So the thing is large! LOTS of room... I'm not very tall but I can fit in this with my wife! Only portion I must have missed what the bottom does not unzipper all the way to open as a full blanket/cover. It can only be a sleeping bag. Reason for the 3 stars. That needed to be disclosed. I'll let you know more if it isn't awesome warm after this weekend. We love it but it won't work for summer/spring camping March 14, 2017 Wow do these keep you warm. Too hot inside the sleeping bag so you try to get out and forgot it's freezing outside of the sleeping bag. We love it but it won't work for summer/spring camping Not totally impressed. December 10, 2016 I've used this once while camping out in a tent in Iowa in November. I was on an air mattress with a blanket between me in the sleeping bag and the air mattress. Honestly, I wasn't freezing, but I wasn't as warm as I thought I'd be snuggled up inside. Maybe I don't generate enough body heat. It was only around mid 20's outside, but I was inside a tent and wasn't toasty warm. It's very warm...! January 21, 2013 I bought this as an emergency sleeping bag.I tried this inside the house as I haven't gotten any chance to use it outdoor. It's huge for single use, but very tight for two. I'm 5'2" tiny, my husband is 5'8" slim (except for his belly...). We had to snuggle very tight to fit in and zip all up... and a minute later, we started to get slightly sweaty. I guess it should be ok for emergency use!As the size is big, the carrying size is big too, and it's hard to fit it back. It was recommended to store it in a clothe/mesh bag rather than the bag came with it. I wonder how other people manage this. I might sew the bag by myself as I can't find something suitable. | 17% Great, big, cot! March 9, 2016 Great cot. The XXL is BIG!!! So be aware depending on where you're putting it, as well as how far you plan on carrying it to your destination. Out in the open - no issues. Inside a tent - this will take up significant space. In addition, as you can see in the photos, the end bars protrude a few inches on each side (making the end widths about 44.5" wide - so plan accordingly). This may affect aisle space, especially if putting two of these next to each other (as I did inside an REI Kingdom 8 tent - see photo). Putting the end bars on can take some effort - there is a red guide pin on one end that is supposed to make the effort easier. Overall it is very comfortable - I am not using any pad, just a sleeping bag and the cot. Two people on here is snug (good or bad depending on what you are aiming to accomplish). A few gripes (I hope Teton is listening): 1. The end bars do not lock in place. As this is a wide cot, moving it can be awkward, and lifting by the end bars pop them out of place. This is exacerbated when positioning the cot inside a tent and being careful of the tent floor (you will know what I mean when you try it). 2. The carrying bag is a simple tote bag. I would like to have seen a zippered/fully-enclosed heavier duty canvas bag than what it comes in. Something more weather resistant. 3. Although a separate product, the attachable organizer is only so-so. For lightweight items it is fine. Putting something heavier, like a "beverage", causes it to swing inward under the cot, whereby the angle will cause your beverage to spill if it doesn't have a sealed lid on it. I have a mind to add some weights to the bottom helping to anchor it so as to minimize this effect. Your mileage may vary. Updated: SO DISAPPOINTED! August 13, 2015 SO DISAPPOINTED! BENT IT THE FIRST NIGHT AND RIVETS FELL OUT. WOULD HAVE RETURNED IT BUT IT WAS PAST THE 30DAY RETURN PERIOD. Update: Reported the problem to Teton Sports. They shipped the part in less than a week; no charge. Disappointed with the issue, but happy with their response. Comfortable but heavy. August 3, 2015 Very heavy. It is big and hard to set up in a 10'x9' tent - mostly because of the way the end legs fold out. The feet have caps on them but I was afraid they might damage the tent floor - so I picked up some leg protectors from the hardware store. I slept on the bed very well - over a 4 night stretch - even overslept one day - very comfortable. I took a single sheet with me (fitted sheet) unfortunately it was too small. I could see using this as a guest bed - it's sturdy and comfortable enough. Easy to setup and take down outside the tent - I did need a lever to get the end bar on (the instructions suggest a hammer or mallet handle) - again hard to do in the confines of a tent. the provided bug is sturdy and over-sized - easy to pack the cot away in. In the Colman "six" person tent there would be barely room for two of these cots. the point of this bed is extra comfort when car camping. We can now camp in a tent again ! October 14, 2014 We purchased two of these. They are big and bulky and a pain in the butt until they are set up - once they are set up they are the best thing going. We use them camping and even bring them when we stay at family because I'd rather sleep on this then some crappy sofa bed. So why not 5 stars? In order to get the trampoline like surface you have to give up two things - the first is 'easy to set up'. If you search online you can see a very helpful video of using some sort of pry bar to get the last bar into it's proper place. This is necessary to avoid a ton of aggravation. The second thing is that this is hard hard bed. We made up some memory foam toppers just to use with these cots. So what does that mean? That means when you put these in the trunk of your car you also need room for a mattress pad and a pry bar. Basically think of this as a portable bed more than a cot. Three Star Reviews: | 6% Just OK sleeping bag. July 12, 2017 I didn't like the fact that the zipper is only on the side so that you cannot open the bag to lay flat. It does not really make sense and renders it useless as a blanket. I did not use it in really cold weather so it was adequate for me in the warmth department. I would not recommend buying this sleeping bag simply based on the fact that you cannot open up the bag to lay flat. a serious bag for the serious camper. April 30, 2017 its a big serious bag for your fall or winter kit.the bottom is sown shut, the zipper sucks, so you will want to sleep in it without zipping it up. bring a fleeze or wool blanket. NOT for hiking, to big, too heavy. first impressions video provided. if the teton team is watching, FIX the stupid zipper. its a bad design, u'll see why in the video. Twisted emotions is a twisted bag April 5, 2017 Very mixed feelings about this sleeping bag. I has some very nice features...I like that the bottom head piece can hold a pillow securely in place so it is there in the morning. I like the idea of the riber filled roll all along the inside of the sipper to keep out any drafts and it is very warm. The problem I have as a restless sleeper is the bag is so soft or squishy (really at a loss for a term) when I change position the bag slides all over the place and does not stay on the bed. I have gotten all twisted up and have a hard time shifting position. The bag does not seem to stay in one place either. seems like the lightness causes it to lacking any form it just twists and turns. Maybe there is too much (or more) fabric inside and it is not attached to the cover? I am thinking of trying to tie it down to the bed or maybe quilting the outer and inner surfaces together. Great but not as warm as advertised April 3, 2017 The sleeping bag is very big which is good becuase I am a big person. I am 6'4" and I got about 4 inches of extra room so it is quite big. It's very wide and I can keep my legs as far apart as I want. It isn't very warm however. I camped out in 30 degree weather and was waking up freezing. I think that's because it's so big. It's extremely comfortable however and great for spring or fall. I haven't tried it out in the summer yet but I imagine it would be to hot. Don't buy this expecting to sleep in 10 degree weather. All in all I am happy with my purchase. I will have to find a sleeping bag that I can sleep with in the winter. But this replaces my old sleeping bag. I toss and turn a lot and this bag gives me all the room I need to do that. Also the zipper is covered up really well so that's not why I was cold in the winter. I think it's because the bag was so big that it was hard for it to insulate th whole bag. My body was usually toasty but my legs and feet were what was cold. So keep that in mind you might want a smaller bag of you plan to sleep in freezing temperatures. All in all a great buy Great Bag but be Careful with all the Spec. Picks January 2, 2017 I have one of these bags and it is great. Good for my allergies and is perfect of cabin and camping. Super comfortable with very soft materials. Feels like a cloud. The bag maintains a good fluff of air that is the key to warmth at the same time, compresses neatly into the travel bag. However, be very careful when ordering. There are so many options that sneak up on you. Right zip is your right hand when you are laying in the bag. Also, the size is NOT a pic. It is the headline. I over-looked that and got a XXL by mistake. Not sure how to exchange for a Regular. Roomy but not as warm as the rating claims. August 13, 2015 I purchased this bag because I get really claustrophobic in mummy bags and liked the warmth rating. I took this sleeping bag camping this summer. Temperatures got down to about 25 degrees. I was pretty dang cold. I am wondering if it is because the bag is REALLY large for me. I am 5'6, average female build, and was just in fleece pajamas. I was disappointed given the fact that it was rated to 0. The next night I threw a flannel blanket on top and was cozy and warm. I'm not an avid camper so I'm wondering if you're supposed to dress a certain way for the warmth rating to apply? January 6, 2017 Large heavy duty cot but I'm disappointed! The metal end bars snap over a PLASTIC piece. Why plastic on a very expensive cot?The end bars are nearly impossible to stretch over the connecting piece and as soon as I get them in place, they pop off. The cheap plastic piece is not going to survive this. It will end up getting sheared off. use leverage to set it up. i am female May 17, 2015 I bought this, has been up for a week. It says. I'm 250. I'm not happy with that. I am a female, will tell u how to set it up. Women's upper body strength is bad, but our legs are strong. So you have three out of four ends attached. The last one is a doozie. I sat on the floor bottom of the cot in front of me, facing me. Push top of cot (opposite end) up against the wall to hold it. Grab onto the bar and put your foot onto the frame at the top and pull the bar out until it catches. That's step one. Step two, stay on the floor, facing the end of the bar you are trying to get into the groove. I put my foot up against the far side of the stand, grab the bar and pull it down into the groove. There you go. Took me awhile to figure that. I dont have the strong grip a man has and upper bidy strength. So I used leverage.I'm upset because it sags. I have to crawl over the side bar to get out of up, pull myself up. I think maybe if I put a mattress on it. Very difficult to get out of because of sagging. Maybe if i had a thick mattress there be less sagging because weight is distributed a bit more? Thinking 5" thick mattress? Sleeping on cot is not very comfortable. I like it sits high. Can put shoes and luggage under it. Its good...but its BIG September 2, 2014 UPDATE: So its been a LONG time since I bought this. I must say it turned out to be Junk. A while back one of my friends slept on it with his baby and i guess the weight was too much....The fabric stretched out and its hanging in the middle now. The weight is listed at a max of 600. They were nowhere near that limit. Now its uncomfy and I cant use it at all because of back issues....I think I may have used the thing about 4 times total.------------------------------------------So far so good. Its holding up really well so far. No complaints.Things you want to keep in mind:its bigger than you think (picture 2 cots merged into one jumbo cot). I should have paid more attention to the XXL in the name.When open its pretty high off the ground. Definitely wont fit into small tents.When folded its pretty darn heavy. My sister could barely lift it.Directions for unfolding are a bit confusing but you can figure it out easy enough then reverse the steps to fold.Can be dangerous if you sit on the edges. It almost toppled over when I tried.Its strong and held up for a month of CONSTANT use. I would buy this again if I needed another cot, but i would look for a smaller size. This is a perfect cot for camping & stows easily on my motorcycle January 26, 2014 I love the light weight & sturdiness of this cot & my TETON Sports Outfitter XXL Quick Tent (82"x 39"x 32", Orange/Yellow) fit on it perfectly. I loved that I could go camping & not sleep on the ground. I have 2 reasons for giving this 3 stars and the 1st is that it is so freaking hard to put on the "end" bars....Only one time I was able to snap them in place. I've tried many times to do this and it is like fighting a Gorilla. I watched the Videos that the company offers on how to assemble but I'm still having difficulty. I even had a couple of big guys try to assemble and they were sweating & huffing and puffing.The 2nd disappointment is under the cot lining...looks like some kind of waterproofing agent has long vertical cracks. I imagine over time this will be were the cot fabric begins to break down. I was really disappointed in this lack of quality when I 1st saw this flaw. I didn't know this till I came back from my camp trip and was cleaning it up for storage.Because the packaging/shipping material was so big & bulky I threw it away. Two Star Reviews: | 3% Cheap Zipper April 25, 2017 On first use, I unzipped it and the zipper broke. Without being able to close properly, it's not so warm. Like other people have said, the fact that it doesn't open all the way is kind of a bummer. TETON Sports Celsius XXL -18C/0F Sleeping Bag;... December 28, 2016 Pros:1. Material makes you very warm.2. Rolls up nice and compact.Cons:1. The inside material is not soft flannel. More like slick polyester.2. The zipper is only on one side of the bag. If you plan on using this for a blanket or a layer for your kids pallet, find something else. There is no zipper down by your feet.3. You can not machine wash or dry clean this sleeping bag. The tag says hand wash and lay flat to dry, Well it can't lay flat cause the zipper does not go curve down around your feet. I can see cleaning this outside on the picnic table with a water hose. We put it into the washer anyway and dried it in the dryer on air. This voids the warranty, but who cares. I'm not hand washing a freaking sleeping bag by hand. So it lived to be used another day! Warm and heavy but ultimately turned out to be a turkey September 29, 2016 A heavy sleeping bag but its warm and elements resistant ,the zipper however, malfunctioned as soon as I unzipped it . It will not zip up .its teeth will not connect when I try to zip it up but the teeth will connect if I unzip it. Of all the weird types of malfunctions. I tried sleeping with it as a blanket but as the foot of the bag is sewn together it has three (ish) corners instead of 4 so it doesnt even work well as a bed spread and trying to wrap yourself in it if youre outside on a cold night works but inefficiently so at best. The bag I bought is not suitable for camping nor is it suitable for the bed , Who the hell thinks to test a friggin zipper??????? It sat for a few weeks before I got it out and I dont know if I can even return it and Im not sure I want to make the effortI paid 70 bucks for this dud. If I ever decide to scale Mt ST Helens Ill be sure to take another model with me because this one wont cut it. I may contact the seller and ask they replace it , or just give me a refund , this was money poorly spent. Eh, not impressed. August 27, 2016 It was okay as sleeping bags go. The dye from the inside fabric stained everything that touched it! It was difficult to put it back in the sleeve that it comes with. Wouldn't buy or recommend. Not great for zipping together January 20, 2014 I gave it three stars because in the one use where it was around 45 degrees, it was nicely warm. However, don't buy this sleeping bag if you want the option of zipping two together. The zipper doesn't extend along the bottom of the bag, so when connecting the right zip with the left zip, the connection is in the middle of the two bags...which means the entrance to the bag is in the middle. The zipper on the bottom slowly works its way unzipped during the night and since the inside is a flannel material, you don't slide around in the bag if you turn on your side so the top zipper works it's way unzipped too. Seems like a design flaw and I'm sad I can't return these since I didn't use them until after the return window. | 4% Not set-up friendly at all... October 1, 2017 I absolutely love this cot EXCEPT it has one major flaw that would keep me from ordering it again or recommending. That is the way the end bar is attached on both ends. This is the absolute worst design! Such a major disappointment. Not only is it beyond difficult to seat it in place but it does not stay in place. Try to move it, or forget and touch the bar and you risk it coming apart. I cannot tell you how frustrating this was even to the point of tears. I do have an idea on how they can fix this flawed design, I just can't imagine how they have not already done so! So unless you are desperate for a sturdy cot because of the weight limit, I would buy something different as the hassle is not worth it! November 16, 2015 I thought this would be a good solution for a larger person sleeping on a cot but to be honest I experienced serious back pain after only a couple of nights on this thing. I eventually just slept on the ground with a sleeping pad rather than sleeping on this cot. I will say though - it is a large cot. Broke after 1 week of indoor use. October 23, 2015 This cot was definitely way more comfortable than any cot I've slept in. Rivals some spring mattresses even. However, after only a week a rivet popped out on one of the rubber shock absorbers that the bars rest on, thus making it fall out. Upon inspecting the rivet I noticed that the metal was very thin and the entire cot is assembled with them. I needed to use it for one more night so I tied some string to hold the shock absorber in, and hoping that no other rivets pop on me during the night.For something that is supposed to be an "outdoors" product I expected more durability. I just used it to sleep in for a few nights while moving until I got settled, with the intentions to taking it outdoors later. However, I don't have confidence in it to do such a thing. However, the opens and closes with a cheap plastic zipper, the kind that often doesn't work. Hence this is not a reliable product for designated uses such as camping or sleeping out on a cold winter night. As an old infantry guy, I can vouch for the importance of having a sleeping bag that closes properly in the depth of winter or in inclement weather. You cannot go out in the field with a sleeping bag that stands less than a 50/50 chance of opened opened and closed. That would be madness. This leaves me no choice but to give this product a "failed" rating, in letter terms F-, | 5% Holes in Canvas September 13, 2017 I received the XXL outfitter cot today, set up without difficulty and noticed 3 holes in the canvas, almost like it had been melted....I did send an email to Teton- so hopefully they will respond promptly. After using PIECE OF JUNK edited. June 20, 2017 Ordered this through Amazon. Product came quickly, and was as described. Rubber feet on legs were oozing the adhesive that holds them to the legs. This adhesive had gotten on the cot and the aluminum rails sometime between manufacturing and when I opened the box. The adhesive got on my hands and clothes when assembling the first time as well.Function looks good. Not too hard to put together.Update 9/27/17 used this camping for a week. Hard to set up and take down. The bag this came in is like a long reusable grocery sack. Bag is cheap.The worst part is set up and take down. This thing is a finger pinching son of a gun. There is no way on earth my wife could get the end bars in place. After a couple of uses metal sockets on bars bend and distort.We bought a different cot for my wife. It was less money and a much better design. Save your money and buy something else. Chinese Made Garbage June 13, 2017 Came severely damaged and unfinished from the manufacturer. Sharp metal points remain on the metal frame as if they forgot to grind and sand them. Welds are poor - they melted the frame instead of welding it properly. Made in China, I should of knew better. Cheap rivets. Biggest wasted of money. January 31, 2017 Too much of a pain to return. Both cots had rivets falling out in the first 5 minutes. Haven't even bothered to haul them camping yet. not a good design.
