Fun for kids
September 10, 2016
I bought these for my twin's glow in the dark birthday party.First off, these attach onto fingers with a rubber band that slides under a little hook on the light. My kids kept accidentally making the rubber band detach when they tried to put them on, so the adults spent a lot of time putting them back on, a bit annoying after awhile. The finger lights are VERY bright, a few kids accidentally blinded themselves for a few seconds while testing them out for the first time lol, but since they were so bright, of course the kids loved it!It has a couple different modes, flashing, and straight on.Overall, a fun little toy!
Great finger lights! Ordered from USA Toyz and they were all working!
November 28, 2015
These were great and a huge hit with the kids. I was a little worried about ordering these because of so many bad reviews but was happy I did! I got them to give them out for my children's class goodie bags we made to hand out for Halloween. All 40 of them were working. We still have a few left and they all still work and my boys use them every night! Not sure if this matter, but I ordered from USA Toyz, they have great reviews so decided to pay a little more to get from them and I think it was worth it! Very happy!
Maybe QC is getting better?
August 30, 2015
After reading the other recent reviews, I decided I would be ok with only half of these working. As soon as they arrived, my daughter checked them and found ALL of them to work. We only needed a couple because we use them to find the focus point during night photography (as in focus on this item before doing something like shooting bottle rockets and using long exposures to capture the flight) Because we had so many and because they are so well priced, we find ourselves giving them away to other kids that show up randomly to our photo shoots. In the dark they are a lot brighter then I expected them to be and worked great.
perfect
March 31, 2015
I just opened the box so this is part one of my review. I received 10 of each red, blue, green and white. Every single one came in full functioning condition. Each color has a steady stream of light in the color matching its body color. I turned every light on twice without issue and the casing seems sound holding the small batteries tightly in place. They arrived packaged loosely in a bag.........Part two of my review........We had an Easter egg hunt by flashlight last night with about eight 9-13 year old kids and these were in some of the eggs. They were a huge hit! All of the lights made it through being tossed around and dropped without breaking. The only thing was one of the rubber bands that slides over your finger broke. I will order these again for Halloween, 4th of July, night Easter hunts or anything else the kids do after dark in larger groups. Wonderful!
Great value

Out of 40 lights, about 15 were not working. One of them was on, and the batteries were 99% depleted.I noticed that if you carefully open them up with a knife, and just rub the batteries between your fingers, most of them will work - a film develops between the button batteries which breaks the current flow. One or two needed the wires slightly bent to make contact. I think the main problem here might just be the lower quality of those small batteries.Initially, I thought all of them had depleted batteries and I looked up replacements - 40x3 - that's 120 button batteries. The cheapest I found were more then $10. These lights only cost about $6.50.Besides the manufacturing process of the components, I'm not sure you can automate putting all those small pieces in. If someone is doing that by hand, that's a lot of work for a fraction of those $6.50... let's not be too harsh on the criticism.
AWESOME worked great - kids loved them - excellent price!!
May 5, 2013
We bought these to sell at Relay for Life and after some of the reviews I only purchased one set of 40 as I was concerned about how they would work. The ones we received worked great - only three did not work - which compared to other reviews is wonderful - really wished I had purchased more. They shipped on time and were packed in sets of 4 on a nice hand shaped background with a red, white, blue and green light on each finger and they were completely sealed. They lasted all night and the kids really enjoyed them a lot - we got mobbed and sold out in less than 1/2 hour - if you have been to relay for life you will know you stay all night and we did not have one single kid come back to complain about their finger light - just some who were disappointed we had sold out already. Ordered from UnitedIntegral and I highly suggest using them as I know we will order from them again for next year or any evening event with kids as they really loved these!!

ZOMG Slappy Hands!
April 25, 2017
These are regular small size, they aren't the big ones. These also don't leave grease stains on your painted wall or carpet. Great for goodie bags. Don't pretend a green one is a booger around small kids no matter how funny you think it is. Of note, they don't fit as well up a child's nose as easily as say a grown woman's nose. They do not come in 5 colors, they come in whatever colors the creator feels like making that day, but it was a pretty good girl to boy kid preferred ratio.
Lots of Fun
June 15, 2016
I bought these to give at party favors. They are the perfect size and the kids love them. I had to store them in the heat and none of them melted like I have had others do in the past. There was a variety of color and the kids were so excited to be able to pick which color they wanted. They had sticky hand wars and tried to slap each other with them. These entertained them for over an hour. We did have a few break, which is to be expected with kids. However there were so many of them it was no big deal to give the kids a new one. These are definitely worth the price and I will buy them again.
Excellent party favor!
January 12, 2016
I bought these for my daughters carnival birthday party. I includes these in the favor boxes for all the children. They absolutely loved them!! The kids were running around slapping everything with these little sticky hands! They are very stretchy and don't break. They are sticky enough to grab paper off a table or a napkin out of someone's hand. When they lose their sticky you just rinse it off and let it dry and it is as good as new!
A solid buy that I'm giving to my students at the END of the year!
June 23, 2015
I had to think about this buy! I bought these for my student's "goody" bags & quickly decided I would only hand them out as an "end of the year" gift! The reason I hesitated to buy these is because I remember being a child & when I had these babies, I was wrecking shop! I don't what it is about things that are sticky & flexible, but kids just love them, so I was afraid it would be a distraction. I figured giving them out on the last day of school wouldn't cause too much harm; the students would be happy & my fellow teachers wouldn't care nearly as much because they'll be ready for summer!I HIGHLY recommend!
Same as 20 years ago!
March 27, 2015
I bought these as party favors for my 1st graders birthday. I actually received 74 plus a little rubber butterfly in the package. The quality is similar to the dispensers often found in entries/exits. The colors seem randomly selected, we had far more greens and yellows (in case someone were looking for an even spread).Just like the ones from 20 years ago, they will leave lasting oil stains on your drywall if you allow them to stay there and they quickly lose their stickiness to the dust and dirt they collect from every surface they touch. We bought these expecting something similar to what we grew up with and these are precisely that!
Just don't let it stick on the ceiling for too long!
November 22, 2011
My two boys, 4yr and 2yr old love this. They each got one at a kids party / arcade where you turn in the tickets to receive a toy. I believe this one was in the 25 ticket range, and I had to spend a few quarters in games to just get one!Well, boys being boys, they eventually tore one apart, and were sad. This package is probably overkill, but we can use them as giveaways for parties.Tips:You don't want to let it sit on a white ceiling or wall too long as it will discolor the paint!Wash them with warm water and mild soap and it will become sticky again.

Fun for party
September 14, 2015
Got the pack today. Here is the break up:Blue - 10 - 1 broken - 1 arrived "on" in package and very dimGreen - 10 - 1 arrived "on" in package and very dimWhite - 10 - all good - not bright white though, but bright enough for kids playRed - 9 - 1 less delivered - 1 did not turn onOverall, received 39 of the promised 40. Of them 34 are working fine.Build quality: Average; definitely not for kids under 3.Band is weak, but ok enough for kids to play for a evening, or for parties.I would rate it a 4 of 5 based on above.
Cute, bright, colorful. They make decent finger torches as well as headlights for R/c vehicles!
June 18, 2015
Cute little gadgets. Very bright (except the RED color, which is duller than the other three). The band attaching the light to the finger comes off easily and can become a choking hazard if you have small kids.Of the 40 pieces, 1 was lighted when I opened the packet (so obviously the battery had nearly run down), another one was completely drained (battery leaked) and a 3rd one was not working (not a battery issue). I realized that these can be opened and battery changed, however they were not intended to be opened. So, unless you are real careful, you might end up breaking the parts so they wont join back together. If you do want to open it (to replace the batteries, say), then note that there is a ring of plastic around where the LED is that needs to be pulled out before you try to split open the box shaped body (or the ring will break). The ring is glued to the body, but not very strongly so it can be pulled off with some trial and error. The body itself is not glued together, just tightly held together by corner pins. Once the ring is off the body can be carefully and slowly pulled apart. The corner pins are plastic and thin, so any sudden jerk while pulling the box apart will result in them breaking. Of course if that happens, you can always glue the body back together!
Not perfect but completely worth it

CONS:PRESENTATION- These came completely un-packaged. The bag they were in had burst, they were all over the box. It was messy chaos.NOT 100%- And then maybe 3 didn't work. I think they were jostled on at some point and so the battery was dead. Then why FOUR stars?PROS:PRICE- Well my goodness they were $6 for 40 and the... even after tossing a few out they were a great dealSIZING- These are MUCH better then what you get from the dollar store. The elastic rubber band is perfect. It can loop the item for small fingers or just go over the finger for big fingersBRIGHT- Really nice bright light of good quality. They remind me of the LED lights on Christmas trees. Maybe that is because it was ChristmasCOLOR QUALITY- The colors were great. Fun.BATTERY LIFE- we wore them around and played with them for a weekend and none of them stopped working. These are not perfect, but completely worth it.
The set of 40 was more durable than the set of 80 : the set of 80 had 14 broken, the set of 40 had 5.
December 23, 2014
I bought these lights from East Vita, and they arrived in a bag, with no padding, and two or three broke when i was checking to see if they worked. About five were duds, but I bought them all for myself, so I could type in the dark, so I didn't really notice. They arrive with rubber bands that keep the lights attached to the fingers. I have rather large fingers, so I was pleased to find that these stretched easily enough for my purposes. the lights were very bright.A year later, I bought a set of 80 lights from a seller called Elekticity, not sure of the spelling. I was pleased to find that these arrived in a box, and i was happily surprised to see that my package included a bonous package of five more finger lights, free. The plastic in these lights was much thinner and lighter than that of the lights I bought previously, but a grand total of 14 were entirely nonworking, and were thrown into the trash immedeately. Then, once I tried to wear these, the elastic ring part of the light was far more plasticine than the bands of the forty I bought the year before. I placed the order for these on a friday, and i recieved the items on the next monday, despite the fact that the shipping options were nowhere near that fast. These have a larger opening into which one could slip the nand in and out, so I must say, I liked the lights in the set of 80, but I liked the bands better in the set of 40 I bought the year before. The lights on these were also about twice as bright. The only way this one could be any better is if there was a smaller space for the band to slip in, because I don't know or understand why you would want to separate the band from the light in the first place.
Good for Gift-bag-type gifts for busy kids!
January 23, 2014
I was determined to be the "Cool Aunt/Cousin" this Christmas, and these certainly helped! I needed a few grab-bag type of toys that would be fun for a wide age-range of kids. The youngest was a 2 1/2 year old girl, then a 6 year old girl, than two 9 year old boys, and a finally a 12 year old girl. There Green, Blue, White and Red colored lights, 10 of each in the 40-pk. There is a rubber "band" that is attached to it, and you slide this on your finger. The light then sits on top of your nail/under your fingertip. The light comes out the end, so you can point with your light. The "button" is actually a switch on one side of the light...I had to flip the "band" around the opposite side, otherwise the switch would be flush against the finger and the "band" would've broken off of my finger. Flipping it around allowed it to be looped underneath it, so you could see where your finger needed to go. The only kid this didn't work for was the 2 1/2 year old...her's we had to keep so the button was against her finger because her hands were just too small. (otherwise she kept breaking the bands to try and keep them on)The 40-pk was perfect...I figured these weren't going to be 100% perfect when they arrived, so 40-pices would give me enough to have enough that each kid could have 2 of each color (1 for each hand), a few that didn't work, and a few for "extra" in case one didn't work day-of or stopped working while they were still playing. And that was exactly what happened. When they arrived, I went through each one. There were maybe 4ish that didn't work. I had them for about 1 week before we saw the family for Christmas. On the day, there was maybe 1 more than didn't work right away, and then again the 2 1/2 year old broke 1 bands (lights still worked). The kids had a blast! My nephew decided they needed to go on his toes instead, and ran around the house, up and down the stairs with them, and they held up just fine (though no clue how they smelled after!). A few the switch was a bit harder to flip than others, but likewise, a few the switch moved super easily.I would not expect to get these as the MUST HAVE toy for your child...these will do better as a party-favor or gift-bag item. You know, those little things that kids end up either tossing in the toy bin and playing with on occasion or losing in a week? This is NOT the "Ohmygoodness, favorite toy in the world!" type of toy. So given THAT thinking, these were well worth the purchase, and did exactly what I expected them to do! Just remember, get more than you need...for $7, it's worth it! And then find another kid (coworker, etc) to give the extras to (no, I promise I didn't keep 2 for myself...) ;)
Excellent - Used for Young Kids Disco Birthday Party
July 12, 2013
We purchased these with rather low expectations and were pleasently surprised. We had 20 kids coming to the party and purchsed 3 packages (40 units/pack).We had a bowl of them near the dance floor and with the lights dimmed and the disco ball going, the kids loved them. Each light has a little elastic strap which fits around the finger. Perfect for kids, a little snug for an adult. At the party the kids put 1-4 of them on each hand and dance away, waving their hands to create fun light effects.Only about 1 in 20 were defective, which I think is an acceptable rate given how cheap they are. I'd consider these as a disposible, single use toy. If they work longer great, but don't count on it.

Fun item
March 7, 2017
The kids always love these! it only received 4 stars because some of the strings broke as the kids were slapping them, maybe it wasn't strong enough or maybe the kids were too rough. I would buy this product again as it is a great goody bag item, good value, great color selection, and the kids love them.
Fun Halloween treats
December 22, 2016
I ordered these for Halloween next year. They seem like they will be a fun alternative to Halloween candy. However, they will be stored in a hot garage in Phoenix over the summer and hopefully they do not melt. If they do melt, I will update review next Halloween.
Cheap and fun for kids
August 4, 2016
Cheap and fun for kids, but get destroyed very quickly. They stick to anything- including dirt and trash, so be careful with small children who may put it in their mouth - both a choking hazard and dirty. But other than that they are fun and entertaining and will keep kids occupied for a while
Ooey Gooey fun for all ages
April 28, 2016
These were a last minute purchase to be used as prizes for our church's Easter Egg hunt. We made the decision to purchase this item because of the value for the number of hands we would receive. The children loved these hands because they are bright and sticky. It was fun to watch them running around and grabbing whatever they could get their "hands" on! At one point, I even got in on the action and tested to see how much I could grab with these little hands. I did notice that the vinyl used for the hands was on the thin side so a few of them broke while the kids were playing with them but for the price I would still purchase them again!
Great Halloween treat for Teal Pumpkin Project!
December 17, 2015
My family participates in the Teal Pumpkin Project where we give things other than candy/food items to trick or treaters at Halloween. (Allergy friendly family!) These were a huge hit with the older kids! However, we opted not to give them to the younger kids just to make sure that they did not accidentally try to eat it thinking that these were candy.
Great stocking stuffer that will keep your kids entertained
November 18, 2015
Great stocking stuffer that will keep your kids entertained. The sticky hand can easily fall off the rope part of the toy though. And, as expected, it picks up all the dirt/dust/grime from whatever it touches. But my kids loved playing with it, and with this bulk pack, we can just give him a new one when the old one inevitably breaks.

November 6, 2016
Honestly I hate to give a bad review as its hard to complain when I got a Huge shipment of these so cheap, but..More than half were red. Literally more than twenty were red, and I had no use for them. I think I had one or two green in the whole bag, which was also a shame. Obviously, when you buy a cheap product in bulk, several will not work, although the percentage was fairly low. Lastly, they all have little rubber bands to go around the fingerg and they aren't attached very well. I was expecting thin strips of elastic, so that was a disappointment too.Overall, they met my needs but just barely.
For the price, won't complain.
March 16, 2016
Cheaply made, but for the price I will not complain. I bought these knowing they were not going to last forever. Only thing I noticed so far, was they are held onto your fingers by rubber bands. I found some of the rubber bands broke easily. Again, for the price, I think a good deal. As long as you know what your getting. PS... All my lights worked as far as I know. My kids took off with them right away. No one said anything about any being broken.
Cheap but cheap.
August 29, 2015
Pro is the cheap price, con is the cheap quality. Bought 2 packs of 40 and 9 were broken in the 1st pack, 8 were broken in the 2nd pack. By broken, I mean that to varying degrees these did not work correctly. Some would not turn on at all, some turned on if you tapped them a little bit, some would only stay on if you squeeze them, yet others were very dim.Good enough for giving away to 6 - 8 year olds for birthday party favors, but for something so simple, would think they could be made to work more reliably.
The ones that work are fine...
August 22, 2015
They were very inexpensive, and I got what I paid for. The 30 out of the 40 that work are fine- but know ahead of time that the color of the light is definitely what the color of the 'case' is. Ten didn't work at all (%25 of the order). They're not worth sending back from a financial standpoint, and I have enough working lights to include in the Operation Christmas Child gift boxes. Just not thrilled that 10 didn't work. If you want something that is just for the sake of something fun for a kid to play with in the dark, these are fine. Just know that you might need to order two 'sets', depending on how many you actually need.
OK
January 12, 2015
I was very excited when I ordered these but more than a few didn't work when we received them and the kids and even the adults had a difficult time light them while on the finger tips. There is a rubber band on each unit to keep them on the fingers but it was a bit awkward and the kids had a hard time with it. We ended up using them in between 2 fingers and clicking them off and on. Not sure if there is an easier way to use these because no instructions were included but overall the kids enjoyed them and even with the ones that didn't work we had enough for all the kids..
mixed lot
October 29, 2013
Out of 40, I found that only 25 worked. I used a few and checked them out again almost a year later: half of the working ones were dead (none had been used). I finally figured out that that fault is with the metal that connects the battery to the led. It's a cheap piece of metal that corrodes easily (obviously, since 15 were corroded on delivery). You can actually take them apart, clean them, and get them working again; but it would be a better use of your time to just buy another set for the price. When they work, they're great... very bright (can be used to light your way to and in the bathroom at night camping or at a festival). The rubber bands that hold them to your finger are child sized though, and would cut an adults circulation off after too much time wearing them.

Cheap price, cheap quality

These were cheap, flimsy, and not really sticky, but I put them in Halloween grab bags so I doubt most of the kids minded. I wouldn't buy them again.

June 8, 2016
Don't throw these up and get them stuck on your white ceiling! They won't come back down, and you'll have to get a tall ladder out and stretch up with a broom handle to scrape it off. Then, you'll be sad when you realize it left a permanent stain on your nice white ceiling.
so they would be easy to add to a goody bag
April 18, 2016
Purchases these as a candy alternative Easter Egg Stuffer. They came individually packaged, so they would be easy to add to a goody bag. They're not all that sticky. When I was a kid these were all the rage, so I was disappointed when I threw it against my glass door and it stuck for less than a second. Either way, a 5 year old loves them!
Ok, but not as pictured.
January 19, 2015
These are very tiny, the picture is very deceiving. They are individually wrapped, I really don't see any glitter in them. I Used them for goody bags. Because they are so tiny I gave each kid 3 of them. My kids still play and like them any way. I'm also using them in my crane machine, for the birthday party because they are so light and small the crane machine can pick them up easily.
Great for kids.
July 1, 2014
I received these today and I'm really pleased with them. They are bigger than I expected which is nice. To give an accurate review I measured the handle (idk what else to call it) and it was 5 inches long before you got to the hand part. That's plenty long for a kid to play with. I usually pay $0.25-$0.50 at the machines at the grocery store for these. Not anymore! I love that they are individually wrapped. Perfect for party favors or handing out for Halloween. I would buy these again.I just counted them which I should have done earlier and they only shipped me 50 not 72. I'm going to contact the seller to see if they will ship me the remaining 22.
Don't get them on your painted walls!
October 22, 2013
These were actually really good for their intended purpose. They stick well to surfaced, and I loved the huge quantity and low price, as I was buying for return gift bags for my daughter's birthday party. BUT ... if you get these on your painted walls, they will leave a permanent slimy oily mark :( I still gave them away -- just warned the parents about it! (Sadly one of the party attendees did it to my wall beforehand, so we found out the hard way.) But for what they are, I really would recommend.

October 5, 2016
These weren't expensive, so I am not heartbroken, but felt I should mention a few things. Only about half of these worked on arrival. Of the remaining, we quickly learned that they shatter when they fall from the table to the kitchen floor. Very low quality.

September 6, 2016
Ok but not reliable. The bands constantly popped off as well as the lens cap on most of the finger lights. Also when they arrived some of the lights were on already. When testing the lights, about 10 out of 40 did not work. I have bought this pack two other times and did not have this problem so not sure if it's the vendor or the product but the quality has definitely gone downhill.
Fun but not as good
March 7, 2015
I previously ordered Finger Lights from a different company and those were surprisingly great. I thought that they would all be the same but the ones distributed by this company were slightly different: 1) some of the lights were on and already dimmed when received, 2) the red colored lights contained 2 batteries versus 3 so they don't last as long, 3) slightly more plastic flashing on the toys so they can be sharp. This might be a bit critical for LED's that end up at about 17-cents each but for the same price get them from a different distributer.
Cheap, band always falls off, will not buy again
February 11, 2015
I ordered some finger lights from oriental trading company before but since I was short on time I ordered through amazon to get them to me faster with shipping. I thought these would be similar and have a black elastic band to attach to your finger which one of the customer photos show the black band. These were not those ones. These ones are a cheap rubber band that is attached with a slit in the finger light so they constantly are falling off. I have younger kids (5 years old) who can't fix them on their own which means I have to fix them every single time.We are giving these out to my sons class for valentines which was a great idea and now I feel cheap because these are so cheaply made. Will not buy these again.
disappointing product
January 3, 2014
Out of 40, 14 were not working. I emailed Amazon and received a prompt reply that they were not able to replace the defective items since the seller does not always have them. They processed my refund and sent me a mailing label to print out to return my items. I had written asking for either replacements or a refund. I repackaged the item and am dropping it off at a nearby UPS outlet. Very pleased with Amazon and the speed at which I received my shipment and response to my email.I had seen the reviews that said they received some lights that didn't work. I was hoping it wouldn't be that many but with 1/4 of the shipment defective I would rather not keep them.*****Another note: they were coated with some sort of white powder. As I was going through the lights, it was all over my hands. I think it was on the bands that you put around your finger. I have no idea if they are made from latex but beware if you have an allergy. I asked about the powder and didn't get a response about it. I am not allergic so it isn't much of an issue for me.
20% of the product didn't work
December 19, 2013
The product was fine. The kids love playing with them, they are fun and a nice, inexpensive thing to add to a holiday goody bag.The two stars is because 20% (8 out of 40) didn't work, which is a fairly high defective percentage. I bought these for my son's class and fortunately I only needed 28. If I had needed three more, I wouldn't have had enough for everyone.I e-mailed Amazon and their customer service was fantastic. Because they were just the fulfillment center, they couldn't resend me the product, but they did reimburse me a portion of the cost, which I appreciated, but again, if I had just a few more students, a refund wouldn't help the situation. Now I'm a bit worried that of the ones that do work, the working life may be limited.

even flat surfaces like windows or my kitchen counter
January 5, 2017
Bought these sticky hands to hand out as a candy alternative on halloween. While they were very colorful and the kids were initially excited for them, they are a little disappointing when out of the package. They didn't really stick to anything, even flat surfaces like windows or my kitchen counter. The price was good though and they arrived quickly. Next year I think we'll go slap bracelets or temporary tattoos instead.

I purchased one of these a couple years ago, and they were great! they were glittery and long like the picture. I ordered another more recently, and was very disappointed. These solid, non glittery, tiny hands came instead.
Smaller than description and not much glitter

These will work fine for our purpose (Valentine party favor), however the product description is false. The hands are more like 1" and the "string" it's on is 4.25". Not sure where they are getting their measurements from. Also, there isn't much glitter in this product. Overall I'm a bit disappointed because the size is quite small.
Easter egg filler
May 20, 2014
We bought this to be cheap Easter egg fillers for a toddler Easter egg hunt. They were, indeed, cheap. Many of the hands were scary paw-hands with no fingers. They came individually wrapped in little plastic baggies that made me a little worried about giving them to toddlers. But hey, survival of the fittest, right? Kids used to play with lawn darts, right? So a gummy hand in a plastic baggie should be no big deal. And as far as I know, everyone loved their sticky hands, even the scary fingerless paw hands. I know my husband had a blast flinging his against the refrigerator door for an hour, until he dropped it and it came up off the floor with crumbs and cat hair stuck to it. But that's the cost of doing business with a sticky hand in a kitchen in the home of a toddler and a cat.
small, and weird feel
February 14, 2012
The hands felt oily, and had a weird feel to them. Also, very small. Some bags had 13, others 11 or 10. Was shorted 1 hand, but not sweating it.

Went through 23 lights just to find 2 of each of the 4 colors that worked. What a Waste!!!!
April 10, 2016
I received them, they were for my 2 kids to take to bed with them at bedtime "cuz they're afraid of the dark", or so they say. I think they just wanted the extra lights to play with....As if they don't have enough light with the tv on and the night lights. But anyway Upon opening them I attempted to get each of the girls 1 of each color that night at bedtime. And Since there are only 4 colors I should have only need to use 8. Or that's what you would think! But unfortunately this was not the case, I turned on a total of 23 of these lights just to get 2 of each color that worked, a total of 8 lights. That's over half the bag that was a total waste, just to get them each one that actually worked. The 23 I went through all had dead batteries or the batteries has so little juice they just wouldn't stay on for more than a second or they had a short in them. Even though I only paid a little over $5 for them, they weren't worth my money or my trouble....Not to mention I had to deal with 2 very upset children that throw a fits for days cuz they didn't work. The girls are only 3 & 4 so they didn't understand why they ordered something & it didn't work!

most importantly 7 out of 10 white ones weren't working. Then the push buttons on all 40 of them it's loosely shifting back and forth causing disconnection of power, therefore no steady light. Then i thought of replacing the batteries hope that it would solve their problem and they'll be working. First the cap on the bulb comes off, then the two panels get separated and the on/off switch drops, now it's time to be replacing the batteries but the resistor sticking out of the bulb has been displaced and it's impossible to be back on it's track where is behind the batteries! because the light bulb attached to the other end off it, won't even return to it's original position due to the bending resistors. So, now you have five parts + three ag3 batteries= total of eight parts to assemble. It's all up to you but, i threw out the bad white ones and will use the remainder of the 40's till they stop working for whatever reason. The main goal of battery operating products makers, is to be selling batteries and they failed tremendously. By the way it's elastic band easily comes out of it's slit and finger will be pinched!
Don't work and can't be fixed.

I needed these for an event and did not have time to return/replace them. I needed 30 blue ones so I bought 3 packs of 40. I spent the morning of the event swapping the LEDs out of these into red, green and white finger light cases from another, better quality manufacturer. In this style of device, the LED lead needs to be pressed against the battery to work. But for some reason the case on these is designed with a groove for the lead to lay into, making it less likely that the lead makes the required contact. So half of them don't even work due to an ignorant design feature. Add in that the rubber bands are poor quality and the plastic is rather thin while fully half of them don't work straight out of the dusty gray plastic grab bags that were taped shut in China and you've got a waste of time and money here. These are typical imported total garbage. Try the next higher priced item. That's what I'm about to order right now.
More than half didn't work and "replaceable batteries" will test your patience and drain your wallet
November 22, 2013
I had a similar experience as the one described by reviewer J. Cutts "jimmybro" (see "They don't work, and they aren't as described" on February 3, 2012). The finger lights I received weren't even in a bag. They were stuffed in a too-small box and not sealed properly. I couldn't believe all 40 were still in the box. 19 of the 40 worked. However, of the 19, some lights were very dim and some required wiggling and/or pressure to light up (and then would stop shining once pressure was released). 21 would not work at all. The final straw is that the description on Amazon reads: "Replaceable batteries: 3x AG3 cells per light, included!" First of all, the lights should just work when received. I shouldn't have to spend additional money on batteries. But, second, "replaceable" is a bit of a joke. There is no convenient battery compartment with a screw to remove the cover. I had to gently pry open the entire plastic casing, being careful not to break the plastic nor let any tiny pieces fall out. I didn't actually replace the batteries (I don't have size AG3 just sitting around at home) but I imagine that it would be extremely difficult. Just opening the toy to check out the possibility of replacing batteries and putting it back together was tricky enough. The button switch and light bulb fall out very easily. Don't plan to be able to use more than half of these unless you are willing to shell out extra dollars for batteries and test your fine motor skills in replacing those batteries.
Beware!

I was very excited to order these as prizes but so disappointed when they arrived. Instead of packaged in sets of 4 on a hand shaped card, they arrived in a bag slightly larger than my fist. The bag did not contain the 40 indicated (10 sets of 4)and 6 were already lit up. Since I ordered 2 bags, I checked the second as well and it had 5 lit up. That's 11 out of 80 that were already lit up! There was no packaging, directions or information of any sort included....just a plastic bag full of the finger lights.I contacted the seller the very same day and received a prompt email telling me they would check into it. 13 minutes later I received this email:Please cotact amazon about this,Thanks, and sorry for the inconvience,Contacted Amazon and they offered a prompt refund and I suggested they remove that picture since it was deceptive. If you are ordering to lay them around on a table, or put in individual treat bags, the might be okay. But don't expect to give them as a prize or get any information about them. And don't expect a full 40!
They don't work, and they aren't as described
February 3, 2012
I can't believe I'm going to write such a long review about finger lights, but here goes...I've purchased finger lights before, and they were everything my kids hoped they'd be: they've had a very long life, the switch is easy to push, and the elastic is made of a comfortable black cloth. These are a whole different story.First, and most important, most of them didn't work properly. Out of 40 lights, 22 were useless: 6 didn't light up at all, 6 lit up so weakly that you couldn't even tell they were lit, and 10 could light up only if you held onto them and squeezed them hard in some elusive way (different for each one).Officially, the other 18 lights worked, but 11 of them had switches that were so difficult to operate that I didn't want to give them to a bunch of kids who would just find them frustrating. That left 7 good finger lights. Out of 40. I guess I can't expect more for something I paid less than $8 for.Aside from the fact that they don't work, they also don't match the description. First, the picture implies that they have a black cloth elastic. Nope. It's a rubbery colored elastic, which might be fine but looks like it'll split soon enough. I guess I'd be okay with this if the lights actually worked.Second, they are described as having an "easy push button." It is misleading to describe the on/off switch as a "button." And as I've already said, many of them are very hard to turn on, so "easy" is also a misnomer.Third, the description says you get "10 packs of 4 lights" and "each package will contain 4 finger lights each with a total of 10 packages you will receive." Nope. I received 40 lights all in a plastic bag, not 10 separate packs with the cardboard "hand" package pictured above. Again, not a big deal if the lights work!Last, the description also says you get "a total of 10 white finger lights, 10 blue finger lights, 10 red finger lights, and 10 green finger lights." I got 7 white lights, 10 blue lights, 10 red lights, and 13 green lights. Close, but another nope. This definitely wouldn't have been a problem for me--in fact, I probably wouldn't have even counted the colors--but since they don't work and I'm writing this review, I might as well be thorough!I don't know where to buy good finger lights, but these aren't them!

NOT AS ADVERTISED
January 17, 2017
Not as advertised!!! Pictured product is NOT what you will receive. The product is no where near the size listed of 1 1/4 inch hand on a 7 inch string. The string is only 3 inches and the hand close to an inch wide. Very misleading!!!!
Not Great

We used these for Trunk or Treat at the kids school. These are not what I expected. These are super small, and the are not very sturdy. They leave a colored film on everything. Kids didn't like them because they were too sticky and they couldn't fling them on anything.
Not Glittery and String Snaps - Look Elsewhere!
November 6, 2016
I purchased these as fun little gifts. I knew they were smaller than the ones you normally get at the store, but I was still excited to get them and figured the kids would really enjoy them. Unfortunately, they weren't as described. They are not glittery and the strings snapped very easily, so we had to throw several of them away immediately and now I'm not sure they are safe for kids to actually play with. They do have an oily residue when you use them as others have mentioned. I would recommend looking elsewhere for some fun safe gifts for kids.
Horrible Quality Control
February 23, 2016
Update: I've ordered these before and my students at school loved them, however, I placed a second order and the second order was full of color errors. For one, it looked like all the colors batches had been accidentally mixed and I ended up with discolored (dirty) looking sticky hands. This batch only came with yellow, blue, green, and orange unlike the last set that had 6 colors. However, this set had A LOT of dirty looking orange, greenish browns, and so on. They look like all the mistake sticky hands they couldn't sell in the store!Original review: Although these are very small, the students at my school LOVED them. They get dirty very fast, but the kids didn't seem to mind and continued to try to slap everything with them.
What happened between the first purchase and this one?
November 23, 2015
I purchased these before and they were as described. my kids loved them. This time I ordered them the sticky hands are not as described. I measured them and the hand is 1 1/4 but he tail is 4 inches. Theses are puny! The vinyl that they are made of is even thinner and cheaper than last time I bought them. How can the same product be so different from the same seller?
