Still the best for holding and preserving soap
August 13, 2017
I have these in my home. I know they don't look attractive but they are the best for soap bars... and my bars are everything from really large pre de provence to smaller hand-made soap. I grew tired of soap getting wasted or not drying properly and found these.I purchased this one, a few year later, when a neighbor kept exclaiming about my practical soap dish by the sink. He has no idea they're in the shower and by every other sink and shower, too. It would be nice if it were out of a "fancier" material, but the function absolutely cannot be beat.
Love it!!!!
April 10, 2017
First soap dish I have ever had that has helped eliminate some of the mushy mess that the bar soaps can leave behind. It's made out of a hard plastic, but still gives off a porcelain-like luster. Very attractive, definitely helps the soap last longer, and any soap mess goes into the sink bowl where it's easier to wash away. Highly recommend for those who use bar soap.

I needed a solution for our shower, which has a built in shelf for a bar of soap. I use body wash but my hubby likes the bar soap but I hated that it would drip down the side of the shower wall and leave a thick white soapy residue. Very hard to keep clean. I purchased this, installed a three shelf wire corner shelf into our small shower for our shampoos and such and placed this on it. The soap drips right into the floor to the drain, keeps the soap dry and even helps is last longer. I love it! Very happy. I bought a second one and also use it to hold our dish scrubber wand. It's the kind that is designed to add soap into the handle. It works wonderfully (if I can get my hubby to put it in there after each use). Very happy with the product.
Great

Excellent. Work just as you would think. Beautiful design and color
I love this soap saver that I came back for more three years later.
December 1, 2015
I have read several of the reviews. I purchased four of these soap savers about 3-4 years ago. I kept three and gave one to my mother. The ones I ordered then are as pictured and are doing great. They are heavy plastic and I just throw them in the dishwasher on occasion.I moved to a place with an additional bathroom, so I ordered two more (December 2015). I received them today and they are just like the original ones. I did not get the pink ones with the smaller angle. The base is large, but I have been able to find a resting place for all of them for two tubs and three sinks.
Brilliant
July 3, 2015
This piece has a nice slope to it that allows residue from a bar of soap leaving your wet hands,to run down into the sink. Nice high ridges that keep the bar "elevated". And as a result, thesoap is dry ( on all sides) before you can reach for a towel. It has some "weight" to it, and even a little more with a bar of soap placed in it, but I decidedI wanted it to sit permanently on the sink counter, so I put a bit of clear silicone caulk on my finger and ran some aroundthe bottom edge of the little pedestal it rests on, and set it in place. Rock solid. It's just another one of those little things you run across on Amazon, that you know you would never have thought of.Brilliant.

Does what it should, and does it well.
May 30, 2017
Yes Yes! This is what you want if you want your soap to last longer. It passed my 'Lava' test. It's been over a week and the soap has never once gotten 'creamy' and begun to lose shape from holding too much water. Much better than a fancier looking one I tried first. It may not look as fancy as others, but I can't fault for this for doing what is promised and doing it very well.Whatever water accumulates in the soap dish is not very soapy. In fact, it's not soapy enough to 'steal' a handwashing out of. So that tells me soap is being saved nicely and indeed it's mostly water that's being allowed on through.I have rinsed it once in two weeks, and that wasn't even necessary.Well done. My search is over.
Just buy them!
March 27, 2017
I have 2 of this type that I bought years ago. Still using & look as good as the day I bought them.I've looked & looked & looked for these because I needed 3 more (exact number in the package) but could not find them in any brick & mortar store.I finally thought to look on Amazon, duh!!These work great, super easy to clean & will last for many many years. Go ahead & try them, they are not expensive & you won't be disappointed.
Soap Saver FOR REAL!
September 15, 2016
Soap Saver FOR REAL! My shower rack is made of wires and the gaps are about 1/2" wide so the bar soap was constantly sliding around and falling through the cracks. I know, really not THAT BIG of an issue, but the same thing happening every single day was driving me crazy! I'm so glad I found these...not only does it keep the bar soap in place, there are holes on the bottom so it drains the water (my other shower has a traditional wall mounted tile soap holder where the water is able to pool under the bar soap and turn it into a giant, squishy, wet marshmallow). The draining and teeth lifting the soap away from the surface also prevents that gunky mess from building up everywhere. And if you like a little bit of texture, the teeth of the soap saver creates small grooves in the soap (not really that noticeable and it washes away pretty quickly because it's not that deep...but a fun little detail).I would definitely recommend this to all bar soap users!
Un-drained and Drained Soap Savers... Discover the Difference
September 12, 2016
There are two basic kinds of soap savers: un-drained and drained. We use un-drained soap savers (like this one) alongside sinks in order to give a wet bar of soap a nice place to get dried out. However, we use drained soap savers like the Interdesign 30103 in showers and baths where you would expect splashed water would otherwise fill up an un-drained soap saver and leave your bar of soap sitting in a puddle. It's the least thing we can do for our slippery little friends.
A Must Have For the Bathroom and Kitchen Sink
April 12, 2016
These are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST little soap dishes to keep your soap dry when it's not being used. I can double the life of a bar of soap by the bathroom sink or in the shower, and the soap doesn't melt into a big mess either! One of these little soap dishes more than pays for itself in 6 months, and the clear pliable plastic construction makes it easy to keep clean also. I've owned these before and can honestly say they never break and they never wear out, I just lose them in the shuffle of moving from apartment to apartment.
Doesn't slip off tub surface
July 26, 2011
After researching all the fancy type of soap holders i decided on 2 major features.1) The holder should allow water to drain away from the soap.2) The holder should be small enough to fit in one of the top corners of the tub and leave room for some of my shampoos.I wasn't looking for something that hangs of my shower head, didn't want mount something into the tile or get a metal piece that will rust. This was the best blend of features. its also transparent and should match most tub, tile and soap color pallets. It is a bit pricey for just a piece of prickly, transparent rubber. But It does look nice in my tub.

Definitely saves the soap.My husband's soap is not soap-soup.... so that is Great! If I could change anything, I would make it out of anything but plastic. Ceramic?I would also pay a lot more for it not to be plastic. But it does a great job.......

Works great
June 27, 2017
Works really well. I substracted one star because it looks a bit cheaper than I'd hoped, with obvious plastic injection molding marks in a couple places. But otherwise its a pretty great item. Keeps a bar of soap very dry.

January 31, 2016
I have two of these. It is a clever design that does keep your soap bar out of the water that collects in a traditional soap dish. Mine look exactly as they are presented online. They are plastic, but they don't look terribly cheap. The only thing that detracts from their appearance is that there are tell-tale mold injection marks visible on the top edge that gives the dish away as being plastic. Otherwise I think people would assume it was porcelain unless they picked it up.A suction cup in the base, or perhaps a rubber footing would be a great feature I wish this dish came with as the only performance problem I've had is keeping it from sliding around or being knocked off the edge where I want it since it isn't very heavy. Overall though, I like the product and it works.
Clever product to hold and drain bar soap
January 31, 2016
another deals product. Works like a charm to drain soap. I'm trying to decide if I would like it better in ceramic than plastic and am not able to decide if the heavier duty but breakable ceramic would make a better product than the light but seems to be shatterproff plastic. It does look like ceramic, so maybe it's the best of both.
It does what it should.
January 29, 2016
I purchased this for the bathroom at my work. We work with all sorts of oil, greases and things of that sort. So it's commonplace to have gunky hands. For whatever reason, we keep purchasing bars of Lava soap, instead of the pump bottle. This bar soap has always been kept in a traditional soap dish, which quickly fills up with water, leaving the bar of soap an awful mess. It takes an act of congress for someone to simply pour out the water. Call me crazy, I prefer to wash my hands without digging around for soap in a cesspool of grimy, oily water. So I decided to get this for the men's room, and it has been a pleasant surprise. After reading some of the previous reviews, I wasn't sure I would be receiving a product worth a nickel, much less what I paid for it. However, there must be two different suppliers, because the product I received is of really good quality. The item is weighted well, so it doesn't simply tip over. It also has a good angle to it, allowing for the excess water to run off. This seems to have been an issue with some of the previous purchases/reviews.Overall, this is decent product which does exactly what I wanted it to do.

Better with the right soap
September 15, 2017
This is a good useful product, the idea being to allow a soap bar to dry out between uses and not get mushy. It doesn't work as well with Dove soap which is my application as Dove clogs the drain holes but should be better with a dryer soap. It could be improved with larger drain holes and perhaps longer pins. Dove also doesn't work with the woven plastic holders. I'm still looking for something that works.
Works Great, Not a 100% Clear Color
September 12, 2017
It's great that these are offered in more than just the basic oval, but tall three have a purplish tinge that is very noticeable next to white soap. I noticed the same odd hue at a big bed and bath store, and was hoping that what I saw was defective merchandise on the shelf. That said, something has changed with the manufacturing of these that makes them not 100% color-free.
Good price, Not bad to use
May 9, 2017
These are basic soap holders that do their job as long as there's no water flow around them. For example, the ones that contain my soap and my husband's soap keep the soap relatively dry. But my son's soap is always mushy on the bottom because he apparently sprays water EVERYWHERE. Also, while the nubby bits keep the soap in place fairly well, it also seems to depend on the soap. My soap and my son's soap stay on well (his might stay on well because its so mushy), but my husband uses (dove or ivory, i can't remember), and that soap seems to fall off the dish a lot. If the rims were a little higher, this would be prevented. In all, I was able to buy these three for the same price as one similar one in the Container Store, so I am happy with the purchase.
Great for solid shampoos and soaps
September 11, 2016
I use these to store my variety of solid shampoos, conditioners, and soaps in the shower. I'm allergic to basically all shampoos I can find in the drugstore, so I stick to Lush products for my hair. While the products are great, they can also be a pain to store. Lush will happily sell you these little metal tins in which to store your shampoo, but they are solid and on more than one occasion I've simply melted a whole bar of shampoo by not realizing water and splashed into the tin and was dissolving the product.I purchased these for several reasons and was pleased to find they lived up to all of my expectations. First, the little nubs raise the soap (in my case, shampoo) off the surface of the bath or shower caddy, so it can't form an air-tight seal and become difficult to dislodge. Second, the drainage holes prevent my expensive shampoo bars from sitting around in a puddle of wetness and dissolving. Third, the stain-resistant surface makes these easy to clean and they don't seem to generate icky mold.I use all three of these wedged in next to each other on a tier of my shower caddy and store all of my solid, non-bottled products on it. It may be an unconventional usage, but they keep my soaps and shampoos fresher and lasting longer.
Does it's job but the wavy one doesn't always stay in place
May 20, 2016
I just lay this Soap Saver on top of the ceramic soap dish and it does keep the bar of soap out of the water that gets collected on the ceramic soap. However, the Soap Saver tends to move around a lot due to the wavy design -- i.e. it doesn't have a flat bottom/top and so it doesn't properly sit flat. This Soap Saver tends to fall of the soap dish some of the time. And the bar of soap itself only stays put if it is centered correctly on the wavy curves.
Get more life out of a bar of soap
November 1, 2011
This simple design works for keeping a bar of soap from getting mushy and works nicely as a dish sponge holder. For soaps, it works great on the vanity counter where the soap does not get as wet. In the shower, the shelf where my soap holder sits on gets pretty wet. When the wet soap dries, soap does get stuck on the prongs. But it does extend the life. These holders do have a strong plastic-y smell which has not gone away after a month of use.

It's really large and sometimes falls off the tub ledge but it does keep the soap from getting smooshy.
Not sturdy

This is a good concept so I ordered two, they do tend to come apart easily causing me to stop and have to adjust them constantly.

Nice design, works well
January 16, 2017
Nice design, works well. I wish it were made of sturdier material. The first one I ordered arrived broken into two pieces. (Amazon replaced it - thank you!) We use one of these in the bathroom for soap, and one in the kitchen for dish sponges. I don't know how to describe the plastic it's made of, but even though it has some weight to it, it has a brittle sound and feel.
Good concept, decent build
December 8, 2015
Good concept, decent build, but terrible packaging (by both the manufacturer and by Amazon). Grabbed this as an Amazon Lightning Deal, since it's a good idea for saving soap from getting soggy, only to receive it in a soft shipping bag from Amazon, with the paper-thin cardboard box from the manufacturer and the soap dish inside both nearly flattened due to abuse during shipping. The damage to the soap dish was so severe that I wouldn't even try to superglue the pieces together. So Amazon is the primary culprit for inexplicably cheapening out on the packaging, while the manufacturer doesn't do much to prevent that with its own flimsy paper box that's more suitable for an AC adapter than this angled piece of thick plastic.Nonetheless, I could still see there's plenty of heft to the soap dish, such that it feels almost like it's made of porcelain. Would have been nice to have it by my bathroom or kitchen sink by now, but instead, I have to wait for the replacement that's now out of stock to arrive.
Way too big
April 21, 2014
Maybe I missed it in other comments, but this thing is huge. It will hold a bar of soap that's 4.75" x 2.75" - much bigger than I've ever seen in my life. For info, the spout is about 1.75", the base is about 4" in diameter, and the max height is 2.75".If it was sized down by 25% all-round it would be fine. As it is, it dwarfs everything around it and gets in the way. Recommended for gigantic sinks only and even then your soap will look lost in there.

They're ok... I find that the soap seems to slide off if not put on just right. For the price, will keep
Depends on your needs if these work
May 16, 2017
These are nice soap savers but I'm a little disappointed that they are more of a soap mat than a soap dish. By that I mean there's no catch tray under them .... just drain holes. So you can't just put a wet bar on this and sit on the counter because soapy goo will leak out.
A little too wide, but good value.
April 26, 2017
They are a little wider than I expected and don't quite fit on my soap dish without hanging off a lot. That being said, they are cheap and keep the soap bar from dissolving on to the soap dish so I will continue to use them!

May 8, 2016
The soap savers are a little too large for my soap dish But they are large enough to hold a full bar of soap, which is what I was searching for
Smallish
March 14, 2016
This ended up being a bit misleading. The dimensions given for the product is actually the dimensions of the card stock that they come attached to. The length of each is about 3 inches. They're a bit small for a regular size bar of soap, but I can live with them. I just wanted folks to know that they're pretty small and there are larger ones out there... of which I have a couple. I thought I had ordered a two pack of the same size I already have.
Too small to be useful, the bigger ones work great
July 15, 2014
These are too small to be useful, buy the larger, 'normal' sized soap savers. The larger ones are super useful, no longer will you have water/soap slime rub off on your hands when you pick up the soap. Your soap will be dry and ready for you to use.

I've bought two of these and they both broke within a week. While they're together they work well. Wish the plastic were stronger.
It seems like a good idea.
May 11, 2016
It is cute and practical in theory. Somehow I thought it would be smaller. The shelf in my shower is not deep enough. Also, as the soap gets smaller, the picks are too far apart to secure it. A hotel size soap bar will slide through after only one use.

December 8, 2015
I received this item and "gently" moved the top downwards. I did this because when I took it out of the box, the top part would move. I then had the top in my hand, apart from the the base! I looked, and I could see that it had been previously busted and was "glued" with a clear soft glue that is gooey. I believe this was a Return after someone broke it, by trying to Tilt it forward. Either the Seller or the Previous owner glued it and then they Resold it. Shame!!!! No point in sending it back, Ill just have to use "Better" Glue
Cool idea but needs improvement
October 2, 2015
The price was good but the soap dish did not look like the one in the photo. My soap dishes have a very small plastic base with a huge suction cup on the bottom of it that is so big it keeps the soap dish base from sitting on the counter. Because of this, the entire soap dish rocks and the suction cup slides around. It's sort of hard to use because it keeps moving but I'm going to put silicone caulk on the suction cup to stabilize the base onto it and see if I can get it to stay still. if this doesn't work I'm going to take the suction cup off and glue the soap dish base to something flat and heavy like a small ceramic tile. I'm determined to make this work because I need something that drains well for my homemade soaps. I would like to lose the suction cup, enlarge the base and add some weight to it. I'd pay more for something that worked well.
Don't Waste Your Money
January 13, 2012
Purchased two of these for my mother. Don't be fooled by the picture, which looks like a heavy ceramic dish. This is actually thin, cheap plastic. The two soap savers arrived in individual cellophane wrappers in the same box, well packed. However, one was missing the suction cup on the bottom that helps keep it upright, and the other had the suction cup but one of the two prongs that hold the soap in was snapped off and lying at the bottom of the cellophane wrapper. It appears to have been shipped that way. I used the suction cup from the one with the broken prong on the one that was missing the suction cup, and from the two of them I was able to fashion one soap saver. Everything else went in the trash. On the positive side, it does stay upright on the shower shelf, and it does what is intended, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 star.

Too flimsy!
September 30, 2017
I was not impressed with these. They’re too flimsy, and we have a hard time getting our soap to stay on them without sliding off. Wouldn’t buy again.
Meh.
September 6, 2017
Thought they would stick to shower shelf, but no. Dish slides around, and then soap slides around. Better off without this.
Not helpful at all
July 17, 2016
These soap savers are so slippery the soap will NOT say on them. I make my own lye-based soap, so I like to have bars of my soap at every sink/tub/shower. I bought these because they are clear and I thought they would sort of "hold" the soap in place. Not so, you put the soap on the soap saver and it slides right off, either back into the sink or somewhere around around the soap saver. I gave them 2 stars because I do like that they are clear.
Mushy Soap
April 17, 2015
The idea behind this is to keep the soap from getting "mushy." Since there are no drainage holes, the water collects in the acrylic dish with raised "nubs" and gets to be a slippery mushy mess. We are going to drill some drainage holes and see if it works after being modified.
Doesn't stop the soap from getting soggy.
February 15, 2014
I legitimately bought this solely for the ability to stop the soap from being soggy, and it didn't work! I now use it upside down to cover the soap awkwardly in the shower caddy, and that'll have to do for now.Pros: Not much, it looks nice I guess, but falls off the shower caddy fairly easily and doesn't really find a way to get rid of the water that falls in that easily (other than manual dumping, but that defeats the purpose of a "soap saver".Cons: Doesn't leak (important!), make soap soggy, kind of expensive, would return, but it's a bath product and that's kind of gross.Don't buy it if you're expecting it to actually work. If you like giving money to Amazon, then that's cool, but I wouldn't buy this if I knew this is what my experience would be.
Dimensions are incorrect
December 7, 2013
The description states it's 4 inches by 6 3/4 inches. The actual dimensions of the product are 3 inches by 2 1/4 inches. I would not have purchased this item if I had known it was so small.

November 12, 2015
When I bought this soap dish I loved the idea that the water would drop back down into the sink. However, the dish is made out of cheap plastic that only held up for two weeks. The soap dish is made up from two plastic pieces that are held together by a short screw. When the dish is touched, as will happen when picking soap up and putting it back down, the screw pulls out of the plastic and the dish breaks in two. I was able to put the dish back together only to have it break again in a day or two. When I contacted the seller, they told me that there was nothing that the were willing to do about the situation. While I understand that not every product is going to be perfect, it is very disappointing when the company is not willing to stand behind their products.

I will not be ordering from Miles and Kimball again. That is not right!!!!!
NOT as pictured
March 7, 2013
I purchased this same item a few months ago to keep in my shower, and loved it so much, I decided to purchase a second one for my sink. The second soap dish just arrived and it is nothing at all like the one I received the first time, not is like the photos. First of all, it is PINK. And it looks horribly cheap. And it's flimsy. And it barely has any tilt to it, which defeats the purpose of a waterfall soap dish.I've posted photos where you can see the difference between the two items. Definitely not the same product. I am very disappointed and am sending this version back.Amazon, please get your act together and do some quality checking on the items you are sending out. I'd like to be able to trust that I get what I order when the orders are fulfilled directly by Amazon. Clearly that is not the case here and I suppose I'll have to look elsewhere to find another soap dish like the first one I received, because I don't trust Amazon to do it now.
Don't do it
May 18, 2012
OK, so I saw in the reviews and photos that some people were receiving a cheap knockoff version of this soap dish, with no slant and a suction cup on it. However, most of the reviews over the more recent months showed people getting the correct item, so I thought Amazon must've corrected the problem. Not so. Ordered 3 days ago, got the idiotic replica which for some reason has no slant whatsoever (one would think even the people making the knockoffs would recognize the overall purpose of the thing.) It's also itty bitty, maybe holding a hotel bar comfortably, but no way a bath bar. And what's with the suction cup? If used on a flat surface, it would make it rock back and forth. Anyhow, it's going back immediately. Ridiculous to waste the time, effort, shipping, etc just to randomly give people either the correct product or a cheap, useless version. If you try it, good luck. At least Amazon has easy returns.
Do not order from "TOYS, HOBBIES & MORE, LLC"
December 28, 2011
Item received from seller "TOYS, HOBBIES & MORE, LLC" was not the same as shown or that I received from previous order. It did not have the same base. It is significantly lighter so it will fall over, and the angle is different, so it will not drain properly.
Different product than the picture
November 4, 2011
I bought two of these in March, and they looked just like the picture. I bought a third this week, and there was no stand to hold it up at an angle, it lies flat on the counter. It came with a suction cup, as if it were supposed to be held vertically on the wall. Completely different design, and in my opinion, ruining the whole purpose of having a "waterfall" soap saver if it will just stagnate in its own moisture.

The size of a hotel bar of soap; has nubs on both sides, for what purpose I don't know (unless you are going to try to attach 2 hotel bars of soap); and so light-weight that it would probably float with a birthday balloon. My opinion ... don't waste your money.
Does not work
October 18, 2015
Crappy design... the plastic forms a container with the walls hight enough that the soap sits in water even sitting on top of plastic spines. I now have a much better version of this that has no side wall and also has a couple of drain holes in the middle.Nice idea... lousy execution.
