Side by Side Comparison of: InterDesign vs Guma

This is exactly what I had been looking for for years. I had bought 2 of the same one at Target years ago (albeit half the price as this one but...) but one broke. They look perfect with my crackled subway tiles and I have 2 built in brass cup holders that they fit perfectly in. The tumble is heavy-duty and nicely made (I had dropped the old one a few times before it actually broke). I'm so glad to have found a matching one to replace the one I had.

Love the "French" decor for my master bath!

simple and pretty; stylish but neutral. perfect for my bath. just right if you want something that is pretty but not pretentious or garish. It is a warm white but definitely white. Sufficient drain ribs to prevent soap from becoming mushy.

Really love this soap dish!It's really of a really strong and high quality - and it's large enough to fit my brand new bar of soap (which has quite large, squarish dimmensions).There's nothing particularly exceptional about this dish - but it's good quality and fits my soap so what more can you ask for?

Plain color and shape doesn't compete or contrast with any other style item in the room. Large enough for the normal retail grocery store bar soap. Not quite wide enough for some of the larger European-sized bars but still look nice at an angle. Shape, exterior texture and color all attractive. Just enough raised lines to help keep soap out of water. Happy to have found.

It's porcelain, got a great shape, has short ridges inside to keep the soap from staying wet (could be higher) and I just find it a pleasing, well-made and pretty object that does the job. We have begun to use bar soap again after hearing of the problems assossciated with the liquid type (triclosin etc. )

I absolutely love these for soaps. I have actually ordered more for other soap including hand made soap. These have the ability to help all soaps last longer

Tired of placing your soap bar in a dirty dish where liquid and bacteria all pool up together? Say no more. With this wooden soap dish, it eliminates all of that and keeps your soap clean and dry. Not only does it do its job, but it's something you'd ACTUALLY want to leave out on your counter since it looks nice.*Only downside is that soap tends to leave residue along the bars. A simple scrape here and there will get it off, so not a major issue.

This is a good, sturdy soap dish that has held up nicely so far. The only "issue" I have with it, is that it is a bit too wide to fit easily on my bath surround. It is perfect for my sink, and I can use it in the corners on the tub, but not on the shelf of the surround. Would buy a second one if they have a smaller size, but then the soap might fit as well.A lovely piece. I had given up on wooden soap dishes after many years of cheap ones that broke down quickly. Looks great! If any part of your bathroom has wood accents, this thing will really match the aesthetics.You know how on some soap holders, water pools at the bottom which means whenever you use the soap, the bottom is kinda gross and half-melted? This holder doesn't do that, which is A+.Also rather easy to clean, I've had this for two years and I recently cleaned it by soaking it in warm water for 10 minutes.

Love it. Does exactly what it is supposed to do! I had purchased a different one because I wanted gray, but it was too shallow and still left my soap in the water. THIS ONE IS PERFECT SIZE! It sits well in my shower cubby, and it is tall enough to to keep my soap out of the water. It cleans up easily (just run it under the shower water a minute). I really love it, and the fact it isn't gray doesn't bother me at all (even though I thought it was going to be the end of the world).

Keeps my soaps dry, as well as making them last. I buy natural soaps from a company named MadeOn Skincare Products. Their soaps great, but they would get all slimy and end up in a pile of unusable goop, when I used other soap dishes. They actually sell similar products on their site, but were out of stock at the time. I decided to look on Amazon, and came across this one. Works great.

Bought this because the one I had broke and I needed to replace it. Be careful to not over-tighten the metal part into the base, the ceramic cracks easily. Otherwise happy with this product.

It's beautiful but it's not white white. It's kind of a cream color. But still beautiful.

very cute and good quality. in person, its not really a flawless white porcelain but loks more like its made of a million tiny hairline cracks. which i actually like better, but just so you know, in case you dont, this isnt exactly plain white.

While I love the look of the dish, it's only drawback is that it's so light, every time I go to pick up my soap, it moves. The closet thing I could compare it too, is that it's like looking at a fine piece of marble or a nice dish, and then picking it up only to realize that it's plastic. (This soap dish is not plastic, but you get the idea) Wish it was heavier.

We use this soap dish in my son's bathroom. It blends in with the decor (unfortunately 1990's) and looks nice.

It was exactly what I ordered. Glad I ordered 2 as I'm not sure they will last long being in the shower with constant water running over them. Fits perfectly in the nitch I had built in my shower.

Simple, but excellent!I love this soap holder. It is exactly what I was looking for. My favorite part about it is that my soap hasn’t been sticking to it. A lot of these types of products get ruined very quickly because of gross soap residue. But this wooden one has held up very well over the past couple months.The only thing I will say is to be careful leaving too much water on here. Because there is not a flat base, water will drip from your soap to underneath the holder. You might want to put this on top of a hand towel if this is a problem. It’s not really a big issue for me but something to be aware of.Overall, especially for the price, this product can’t be beat.

Had it for a few months new, next to bath tub that is used daily, love it. Holding it's dark wooden color, adds to the beachy feel of the space. Great price for good product!

I like this a lot but because it's in the shower it doesn't ever get dry due to the moisture (we don't have window in our bathroom), so far it's not an issue but I fear mold issues in the future. I'm sure if you have a well ventilated bathroom it won't be a problem.

It came a little bent so the toothbrushes don't stand up straight, but other than that, its okay.

These are listed as "white" but they are in fact "cream" colored. The quality seems good, just disappointed by the color tone when even your photos look white. Perhaps match the photos to the product you're actually shipping?

Holds soap..

The toothbrush holder (and probably the other matching items) is a Target item. We peeled the initial label at the base to reveal another label beneath, this was originally labeled "Threshold" which is a Target product line. Clearly my rich tastes have led me to such a fine item (internet sarcasm). The sellers laughing to the bank on this one. Don't feel like returning, just going to keep it. Works as intended. Doc two stars for the play fake.

Plastic and doesn't feel strong

From the photos in the listing, this looks like a substantial piece, but it is very much not. The slats are far more narrow than depicted in the listing, with the spaces between them being about the same width in the unit I received. It has no heft to it at all and feels like it's made of balsa wood rather than any hardwood. Still, it has a simple job, which is to hold soap. This is going in my shower where only I will see it, so as long as it does its job, I'll be okay with it. If it were to be a decorative piece by my sink, I'd be returning it.

The stain tends to dissolve and leaves a residue on the sink top.

This is smaller than I expected. We have a teak one in another bath that has only natural oil finish and larger scale. I thought I was ordering a duplicate of that one. This is quite small and has a varnish finish. It is held together with staples while our other has no nails only fitted with pegs and grooves. It looks decent and will probably last awhile but I am disappointed in the quality.

One of the very few poor experiences I've had with an Amazon product. The first time it arrived, the metal stand piece was completely missing. The second time around (I returned the first one) it was broken where the long "straw"/stand piece meets the circle brush holder piece. I used superglue to make it work, but obviously it seems these are very cheaply made.

It just wasn't my fit for my new bathroom quartz vanity top.however, the product was of a good quality.

CHEAP glue all over the thing...

Gets ruined by soap scum and moisture very quickly

Inexpensive? Yes. Cute? Yes. But it started falling apart within two weeks of using it. The pieces are glued together but the glue is failing. May try to return but not certain it is worth the effort.

After using it for a while, the soap residue on the brown wood made it look messy.

A little expensive for what it is.

Cheesy and cheap

I purchased 2 bath canisters and returning both of them. Huge in size and not practical at all. If you have super small hands or plan to use tongs every time you need a swab or cotton ball then go ahead and purchase this. It can possibly work if you fill it up to the brim all the time but I just do not have the patience for a poorly designed product.

This is such a piece of junk. The first one I ordered arrived broken (the top ring was detached from the stem) so I returned it for a new one. This was not even two months ago--now the replacement broke in the exact same spot when I was wiping off the top! It is too late for a return, and I couldn't even get super glue to repair it. Two broken holders in less than two months? Please don't waste your money on this low quality garbage.

This soap dish lasted only 2 days in our shower before the glue that holds it together came loose. It is a poorly made and cheaply constructed product. I do not recommend.

Not impressed with this purchase. Extremely lightweight wood and covered in glue. I can see trying to pick up the soap and having to pry the soap from the older. Save your money.
