Love this!
sturdy wood rolling pin

Seems like it is good quality for the price.

She hit me hard with it. Rock solid!

While there is nothing wrong with the rolling pin itself, the way I was sealed is a bit unnerving. They had some sort of glue on the rolling part (as if the bag wasn't long enough to cover the entire pin) that took a lot of elbow grease to get off and even then I have to scrub some more but arm was starting to hurt so let it dry over night for me to work on again tomorrow night.
very sturdy

I had given my rolling pins to my grown daughter when I decided years ago to stop baking, including my grandmother's rolling pin. Now my grandchildren are grown coming for visits so I am in the mood to start baking again. The first thing would be to make and roll out some pie crust for Apple pies. Not having a rolling pin I ordered from Amazon at a much reduced price then I could ever find/ in the stores I ordered one from Amazon. I am thrilled with this rolling pin and love saving so much on the cost.
serves it purpose!

Great! It's a rolling pin does its job! Quick shipping great price rolls great. Accurate with size and quality, would recommend to others!

Beautiful American craftsmanship and excellent customer service
January 18, 2017
LOVE this! It's larger and heavier than many rolling pins, which is exactly what I wanted. The wood is smooth and beautiful. The first one I received had a slight flaw that prevented it from rolling properly. I contacted the seller through Amazon. They responded almost immediately, and promptly sent a replacement. That's great customer service.
Beautiful and functional.

OMG!! For years (like 40+) I have been using the rolling pin I got for my wedding in 1970. Very inexpensive tool but effective. We have recently moved and I could not find it so I decided to order a new one. How I wish I had lost the old one a long time ago! It took me less than half the time it usually takes to roll out dough for 4 projects. It is smooth, heavy and the longer length is so much better for rolling out dough. I didn't need the muscle power I used to have to employ as it is much heavier. Of course, the old rolling pin showed up. I think I will keep it as an antique!I like this rolling pin so much, I bought another one to give to my sister!
Quality rolling pin!
June 23, 2015
Love this rolling pin! I've never owned a quality rolling pin! This is it! Just made a pie crust yesterday - easy. Great size, weight, and nice surface. However, a stupid sticky label had been placed on the actual rolling pin - rather than the handle - and it took some effort to remove! Don't companies think about this stuff? Bottom line....great rolling pin!

January 13, 2015
I really appreciated the care with which this was made. I mean, like I'm not in love with a rolling pin or anything, but hey! All that aside this is one of my prized possessions in my kitchen. It is properly weighted, and well balanced. Prior to my purchasing this one, I had, for most of my life, used one that was handmade on a lathe. It was OK and 'did the job', but compared to that one, this one is like the 'king' of rolling pins! When I'm rolling out the dough, this one takes the cake. (OK ... I'm kind of feeling sorry for the pun ... but then again ... maybe not). It's good stuff.
Great rolling pin!
February 1, 2013
Product is well made from quality materials. Only complaint would be in the product description. Product dimensions are given as 12 x 2.8 x 3 which would lead a person to believe that the overall length is 12 inches. Actually 12 inches is the length of the roller itself and the overall rolling pin with handles is 21 inches long. This would be a bit large for many users and the 10 inch roller might be more appropriate for them.
Made in the USA!
June 9, 2011
I haven't had a rolling pin in 15 years and decided it was time. I'm glad I ordered the medium, because it is much heftier than I imagined. The quality is excellent. The only thing I don't like was mentioned by another reviewer - a very sticky label on the roller. I scraped off as much as possible with a plastic putty knife, then used some vegetable oil to rub off the rest of the label. Note to JK Adams: put the label on the handle.

Rolling pin
January 30, 2016
It's a rolling pin and does it's job. Reason for 4 stars is due to the Amazon product description that said it was dishwasher safe and the physical product says that it isn't. Very misleading
Almost perfect!
December 22, 2015
Nice, lightweight and color exactly as pictured. Mine came with a 1/2 dent right in the middle which will bother me but not enough to fuss with an exchange.

I like to make homemade pizza every now and then and this rolling pin does the trick!! It's a good size and everything.
Excellent product
November 29, 2014
This was an extra I ordered while visiting my son for his house. It is great and works as well as my expensive one at home. THe only drawback is that I wish it had a hole in the end of the handle so we could hant it on the hook rack.
Fine for the Price
November 25, 2014
I needed a pin to get me through till xmass when the hubby is going to give me a fancy one. This one is too too narrow in Diameter to use the handles effectively-(rubbed knuckles) but I can use the top of the roller, so no worries. Would be best for a medium sized child 7-13. with smaller hands .

SOLID! Well made. Looks as though it will last a lifetime.Sure wish they had not used a SUPER-STICKY PAPER LABEL with forever-tacky glue that I had to use every naughty word I know to remove. I had to take an extra heart pill and take a nap before I could roll out cookie dough!
I got it because it is big and heavy and it is.
October 3, 2016
This is a large and heavy rolling pin. Mine came with a minor dent but other than that it was of very high quality. If you do a lot of baking and have a big canvas or slab, this is heaven.
A good hefty and agile rolling pin.
August 24, 2016
This is a very substantial rolling pin. It was around 20 inches total in length a bit larger than I expected. It rolled well and had a good heft. I was happy with the purchase.
sturdy, and does its job well
December 13, 2015
This rolling pin is large, sturdy, and does its job well. But there's a UPC sticker on the pin itself, which is not as easy to remove as it should be and leaves some adhesive on the wood. Of course it scrubs right off, but it's not really a great first experience with the product...
OK for light doughs.
June 12, 2014
I wanted this to make pasta, but when I press down hard on the handles to roll out the stiff dough, the rod in the center flexes and the handles bind against the sides of the roller and it won't roll.It is a beautiful rolling pin and well made. I would have given it five stars except for that particular problem. (I finally broke down and bought a pasta machine!)

Maybe not the best for GF dough
November 27, 2015
I made my first GF crust using this pin. I can't blame the pin since I know that GF crusts are much more crumbly... but my dough stuck like crazy.
just OK rolling Pin
June 25, 2014
Light weight rolling pin- not very big. It has no finish on it and might splinter with time. If your intention is to use this rolling pin often I would suggest looking at another item. This is a good tool to use with kids.

The only reason for the three star rating is because of the sticker placed on the roller itself, as opposed to on the handle ( where it should be ) " . This pin will last several lifetimes with a little care.

Came with a ding in the roller part of the wood
December 5, 2016
Nice rolling pin. I am a little disappointed because when I received it there was a ding in the wood. I should have returned it. Not sure how it will work because I put off using it due to the ding and was too lazy to return it. I like the weight of it. Maybe different packaging would be a good idea.

It rolls well but is too heavy and rough in places.
Wish it weighed a little more..

Not the quality I hoped for but adequate.
All the high reviews baffle me and the list price indicated may be correct but, if so, it's ridiculous.
March 5, 2015
How this rolling pin gets such high reviews baffles me. The listing shows the list price as $45, which is a total joke as far as I'm concerned. This is a small rolling pin -- 10" long (not counting the handles) and 2" in diameter -- and it doesn't rotate smoothly. I'm sure it will work for small tasks, but I barely consider it worth the special deal price of $5 that I paid for it.

The rolling pin is so small in diameter my knuckles drag on the dough. I will be donating it to a local organization.
meh...
January 1, 2015
Works but seems really cheap, if you consider yourself a baker then you'll probably want to skip this one. If you're like me and just want something that works then this is a good value buy.
wood rolling pin
December 30, 2014
The rolling pin arrive in a timely manner; however, the rolling pin did not have a smooth round surface. It has small indentations and a flat place on the roller. To top it off, the handles attached to the roller are not centered and cause a bit of a wobble when using it. I am disappointed with the purchase.

April 20, 2015
It doesn't have bearings and therefore only wants to tear dough.

August 29, 2014
...this one I didn't even take out of the plastic. I'm sending it back. 1st...it looks like they skimped on the construction and they did. 2nd..the handles bend with the slightest pressure. They just feel like they're going to give way. 3rd...in my opinion, its not as described so, 4th and finally...I checked a different one out at a big box retailer and it was far superior for only a couple of bucks more. I should add though that Amazon offered to give me a credit so that's cool.
poor quality wood

worked ok the first use, but after cleaning, the wood developed a deep crack. next time i will pay more for silicone instead of wood.

Are they JOKING???
January 22, 2017
I was looking for a rolling pin with a 12" wide roller. Most are 10" wide. This was just what I was looking for and the cost was reasonable. I opened up the box and I was wowed! Beautiful, massive, smooth roller, nice sized handles. Then I noticed a small flat spot on one end of roller. That wasn't acceptable for how I planned to use it. I went back to Amazon and read some of the negative reviews. What I caught was several reviews stating that you couldn't push down on this thing. I checked it and sure enough, If you put even a little pressure on the handles they start folding. Unbelievable! What was J.K.Adams thinking? How can you roll out cookie dough with this piece of junk? Made in America? This isn't the way to do it. DO NOT BUY! Fletchers' Mill makes a similar size. It costs more but it really is heavy duty and it is made in the USA (Maine). Look for it at the BB&Beyond website for $40 and use a BB&B $15 off or 20% off coupon which they always have. My Adams' roller is headed back.
Grabs on one side.
August 15, 2014
The left side grabs terribly so when I roll out dough it catches and pulls the dough, folding it into a mess. I am searching antique shops for a good old fashioned rolling pin that works. I plan to return it when I get back to my other location.
Good size, good weight
July 22, 2014
Good size, good weight. If you put any muscle into it, it locks right up and does not work at all. Can not use to roll out pizza dough at all.
Returned the item
October 1, 2009
Rolling pin was shipped with one of the handles having fallen off. I screwed it back in, but was unable to screw it all way in so that the pin would not slide side to side. I ended up returning the item. Not worth the time!
