| Fast and light!September 22, 2017 Renewed my 3rd year of Webroot protection, no problems, it just does it's job and keeps me and my computer safe. Webroot is light and lets my computer move at the speeds it is designed to move at. The other antiviruses (Norton, Kaspersky) slowed down my computer and web browsers too much. I think it's great protection at a good price. Good GriefAugust 28, 2017 Easy to install and then scan your C drive. It did not find a virus, everything was clean and surfing the net improved temporarily. It seems the problem was not my computer or a virus but rather Comcast. I called them and they said there was no outage in my area. After trying everything I could think of, I called them again and said, send out a man. The lady said, there is an outage in your area. This problem has gone on for three weeks with them and they kept saying it was my equipment. I even installed a new modem and checked every connection a million times, while cleaning everything out of my computer. No wonder they are the most hated company in the country. No TV reception either. Now, one TV, I never watch but am charged for, gets only one channel. I am sure they will say that is my fault too. I believe their tech people just read from a script. It has worked out for me and has definitely prevented my from going into malicious sites. I am happy with this product. I've reviewed prior versions before but the renew process for it is a breeze... just open your account, type in the new number and you're done. The only downside is your 365-days begins the day you renew and you lose whatever days you may have had left on the expiring version so if already have it and can put up up all those annoying popup reminders to renew wait until the last few days before you enter that new number. Non obtrusive anti-virus software that works well.March 18, 2016 I was looking for Antivirus software that was fairly priced and that does not use too much of my computers power. This program is non obtrusive and stays in the background. It flashes a reminder in the lower right corner of the screen upon start up that's its working and that is the last time you even know it's on your computer.I've had no virus issues and I'll likely buy this again in a year. | |

I purchased the 2015 version and it did not get rid of virus or malware. Waste of Money. ONly giving 2 stars as the 2014 version worked like a charm but the 2015 version didn't do anything. Webroot has a few problems...May 8, 2015 Webroot did a reasonably quick scan. It found no malware or viruses -- I hope it's right. But as installed it caused my XP computer to lock up once or twice a day. I surmise Webroot was the cause of the lockups, because once I uninstalled it and rebooted, the machine functioned normally. Another thing: it over-works your hard drive. Normally, because of the large amount of RAM I have, I only hear the hard drive when I am opening or saving files, or starting a program. With Webroot monitoring the computer in real time, the hard drive rattles away constantly, even when browsing the web. Blue Screen of Death when running on windows 10.July 16, 2016 Blue Screen of Death when running on windows 10.There appears to be a conflict with the keyboard drivers. When Webroot Antivirus was installed, you couldn't type more than a few keys before the system would crash.I had to use the onscreen keyboard ( from the accessibility settings ) to uninstall the software. Removing the software solved my issue.I would consider trying the software again if they can get this issue sorted out. Viruses continued after install!!!May 26, 2016 I continued to get virus's after the install. Horrible product!!! Waste ofJuly 17, 2015 Did not remove malware as advertised.
