I enjoy my workouts with these
October 3, 2017
Ok aside from burpees or pushups or mountain climbers were the webs dig in this is perfect. The wrist support is the main reason I bought these. I have very skinny wrist which create very weak wrist for me. I like to lift heavy so at times I come out with wrist pain when I do flys or bench press. With these gloves that pain is completely gone and also the grip is great. I had avoided buying these because they were more expensive but they are far superior than the cheaper alternatives. They seem to very or quality that will last, you should air dry them after workouts since they do absorbs sweat.
I absolutely LOVE these gloves
September 12, 2017
I absolutely LOVE these gloves. I have extra small hands and finding good lifting gloves is really hard. They are the only gloves I'm able to wear that don't feel weird on my hands. Thanks MAVA for helping me be great.
I would say that these are great for lifting and barbell movements
August 15, 2017
I would say that these are great for lifting and barbell movements, I'm not a huge fan of these for any kind of pull-ups. They're a little too tacky for that, but overall these have been MUCH better for me than any of the other product materials that cover only a little portion of your hand. The wrist protection combined with the comfort over your hands are worth it, but I've let a few people try these and it seems to be really hit or miss whether someone likes them or not. Worth trying out.

these things work fantastic...no more blisters, shifting when using the individuals leather strips or foam pads...well worth the price, you will love them.
Great quality glove for crossfit, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
September 12, 2016
I do crossfit and these gloves are great all around for my workouts. I've tried s few gloves in this price range and these are the best quality, by far. I had a sizing issue, and reached out to Mava and they have simply the best customer service I've ever experience. They helped me on a very timely professional manner. Went above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend sizing up.
LOVE these gloves
February 9, 2016
LOVE these gloves! I decided to use them for a full month before writing this review, since sometimes, some things just don't work out. I have to say, I wish I had known about these "gloves" ages ago. They feel a bit strange the first few times you wear them, especially if you are used to regular full hand coverage as I was. They cover just what you need to grip, you can tighten them to fit just right and they seem to never wear! I lift with them 4 to 5 times a week and they look just a new as the day I took them out of the package. I love the fact my hands don't get all sweaty and their very easy to take on and off when you need to. They really are great. I'm ordering another pair as a backup.

Outdoorsman's companions even when the seams rip
January 25, 2017
I've owned 2 pairs now and keep coming back for more. In fact I use them for everything outdoors. Shooting, climbing, Parkour, DIY projects, walking the dog, skateboarding, etc... They deliver the perfect barrier between your sensitive skin and the elements, and give a great grip on poles, trees, fences and walls. It's astounding how much confidence they give me when tackling things I love to do outside, while still having the convenience of keeping my hands soft and safe for work as an LMT. Granted I'm active so I do have calluses, but thankfully not gorilla hands.
Untested but I've owned this brand before
May 18, 2016
So I used to buy these gloves to work out at the gym where I'd pound them for hours a day and they lasted years. So I thought to buy a set for motorcycling just for basic fall protection. I'm sure they can take some punishment but this has been the coldest and rainyest spring that I can recall so I've not had the chance to test them for riding. Hopefully I never have to test them falling either. Fit was as expected using their sizing chart. As leather will stretch over time if you find yourself in between sizes go with the smaller size, spray them with a bit of water inside and put them on. Then do some weightlifting or bag punching and bingo. They will stretch out easily to fit your hand to a T.
Dependable, affordable, protective, and durable gloves. What more can you ask for?
January 31, 2016
I love these gloves. My past three pairs of workout gloves gloves have been this pair.Positives+Protection: Leather in all the right places so it protects your hands well.+Fit: These gloves fit like a, well, a gloves. They are just the right size for my hand that there is no extra slack between the gloves and hand that would affect my lift.+Comfortable: Because they fit so well, you'll barely even notice you are wearing anything.+Durable: Each pair that I've bought have lasted me a couple of years. That includes multiple, heavy workouts a week, accompanied by+Affordability: At less or around $20, these gloves are a steal. They will last you years and your hands will thank you for every dollar you've spent.
Do the job well!
January 30, 2016
I bought these gloves 5 years ago and they lasted me until last week. That should speak to the durability of these gloves. Granted I did not use these everyday and sometimes I would take weeks or months off. These gloves were easy to break in and that took 2 days tops. They are very comfortable and of course decrease calluses tremendously while not giving in on grip. They never really picked up smells and did not smell in general. I hand washed them a few times and air dried and they felt like they were new again. The reason I got a new pair after all these years is because the old ones started tearing, but what can you expect after 5 years.I feel like I got the maximum utility from these and more.In summary they got the job done, were high quality and saved my hands. Oh, and the price was also decent. I don't think most people will feel a difference between a $15 pair and a $50 pair.
Great Gloves

The Harbinger 143 Men's Pro FlexClosure Gloves fit perfectly. Harbinger has a website with a Glove Size Chart. Just follow the directions on the chart. I measured just over 8” and got the Large. The gloves are snug, but they’re supposed to be snug.
Not Just for Weight Lifting!
September 25, 2014
A lot of shooters dislike wearing gloves when shooting. Some shooters feel it necessary to wear gloves for heavy-recoiling magnums. Some shooters prefer a full-fingered glove while other shooters prefer ½ finger glove.Recently, I ordered a pair of Harbinger Pro gloves as a set second to my usual shooting gloves. I prefer ½ finger gloves and perused information about many gloves before settling on the Harbinger. I had used P.A.S.T gloves in the past (no pun intended) and they were fine gloves until they weren’t. The stitching finally gave out and I decided to no longer spend a fortune on shooting gloves.I like the protection that shooting gloves provide to my hand. I had TCS (Tunnel-Carpal Syndrome) once. It seemed to come on from using a mouse while going about the tedious work of technical writing. I switched to a track-ball mouse and the CTS disappeared. Since that time, I have been concerned about nerve damage to the hand when shooting calibers above .22.About a year ago, I started to wear a shooting glove. Actually intended for riding bicycles, the glove provided support in the thumb area and that is where most of the recoil heads when you shoot a handgun. Some say that I won’t be wearing gloves in a defensive situation and I should practice in real-world condition. I know people that can no longer shoot a handgun because of various ailments, such as arthritis, because it is too painful to shoot. I fully understand that. I have, after a shooting session, suffered from hand cramps on occasion. Wearing shooting glove has eliminated that and I enjoy shooting more. Shooting more rounds and shooting more often makes for a pleasant day.The Harbinger Pro glove is made from real leather. It has a double leather palm for durability and a fully-adjustable wrist closure. Additionally, it is comprised of open cell foam padding and finger cushioning. It is double stitched for durability. Most important to me, there is wrap-around thumb protection and it exist just where you will experience the push or snap of a handgun’s recoil. The Harbinger Pro glove does add width to your gun-gripping technique. The padding, for me, is near perfect whether I am holding a Glock G21, a 1911-style pistol, or my favorite carry – the Springfield XDs 3.3 .45. The padding also help to hold the gun in place within my grip and helps me to get back on target faster after the gun fires. Even the Glock G26 feels at home within the open cell foam padding of the glove.Although intended for lifting weights, the Harbinger Pro glove is perfectly at home at the shooting range. The ½ finger design allows for that tactile feel of a trigger that we have come to know and love. Full-fingered gloves, even those very expensive tactical gloves don’t provide me with that feeling. I am person who loves the throaty exhaust of a well-tuned Harley Davidson with drag-pipes and the tune of a big V-8 motor cruising down the road. Why would I insulate myself from the feeling the pull of a trigger?A shooting glove is part of my recoil management system and also aids me in controlling firearms other than handguns – like pistol-gripped shotguns and an AR10-based rifle. A shooting glove has helped me overcome flinching, as I no longer concern myself with it even after a long shooting session. This is a case of no pain is gain. The gloves fit nicely and are not stiff when new; they get better as they get worn in. Give the Harbinger Pro gloves a try. It may take a while to become accustomed to them, but I believe that you will be calling them your shooting buddies in the long run. The Harbinger Pro gloves has really affected my shooting in a positive way. I am more than satisfied with them.

I enjoy these gloves compared to what I using before
May 25, 2017
I enjoy these gloves compared to what I using before. Something to note that you will not know by looking at the picture is that the raised texture really shines if the bar has crosshatched grooves. The raised ridges is more of a rigid material and gets it's grip by the pattern than the friction of the material. The wrist strap is a bit tight, have to stretch it to reach the middle velcro pad.
I'd buy them again.
April 24, 2017
With material going around every finger, it can feel like it's spreading your fingers out a bit too much. But, It works great on 'the rig', especially when there's tape where you're working out. They help keep your wrists straight. I like them a must when doing any pull-up related activity. The only negitive is the finger thing, especially when doing KB swings.

These gloves are pretty great. They're a little bulky in between the fingers, but overall they work for the gym. If you want to use just raw grip they easily slip on and off. Only downfall with these are the silicon on the palms. They're faulty. The first day I used them, a lot of the silicon started to peel off. But overall, it's still very functional.

December 26, 2016
work well...not sure how long they'll hold up as they're showing wear already from pull-ups on a gritty bar, but exactly what I needed
Others at the Gym will be envious.
February 11, 2016
I paid full price for these. Fit securely on fingers. Stiching does not interfere or dig into fingers. Black does not come off on hands when they sweat like other gloves I have owned. Wrist support is great. Have received many inquiries from those at the gym on where I got them. I really like the open back design. My only suggestion is that the padded part should be extended to cover the base of the thumb better.
Great gloves with a few things to mention
December 3, 2015
Great gloves with a few things to mention:1. My pair of gloves didn't come with the bag mentioned in the description (it didn't bother me, but it might bother someone else)2. It comes with a really strong, synthetic odor, so you probably want to wash it before using it3. I only use these gloves to prevent calluses while I lift weights. I do a mix of power lifting and hypertrophy work and they seem to do the trick. However, the wrist wraps aren't as rigid as power lifting wrist wraps. For most people they should be adequate though

May 12, 2017
I still use these gloves even after six years!

They last for a long time.

The support is fine. They are not the most comfortable gloves but they work.

For the price and having used it for six years, I am happy customer of Harbinger gloves.
Pretty good workout gloves for the gym.
January 10, 2016
Been using these gloves 4x/week for 7 months and they're holding up great.

My workouts focus more on body weight and 10-12 reps when using weights and these gloves have performed well in the gym. I intentionally ordered a smaller size knowing that leather will naturally stretch. The fit is comfortable and there is enough padding to maintain a comfortable grip. One thing to note is that I always air dry the gloves after use.
One Tough Glove
May 27, 2015
First of all, they're very well made.Thick material that should last a long time. Heavy padding (compared to other lifting gloves) , and proper stitching.
As with all lifting gloves, these run small.I have large hands, but these XXL gloves are still a tight fit. Cheaper gloves seem to stretch with use, but these don't seem to have that ability. Buy them a size larger and you should be OK. There is an annoying seam that runs between your thumb and index finger near the web of your hand, but I can live with it for the apparent durability of these gloves. These appear to have the sturdiness to outlast the cheaper gloves by a wide margin. They clean up easily in the laundry (steer clear of hot water wash or bleach) and line-dry them to avoid shrinkage. The pros outweigh the cons by a wide margin, so, I'll buy them again.
XL assumes full beefcakery
July 29, 2014
I hit the gym hard and I use gloves to keep blisters and calluses at bay. I tore up my last pair of gloves in less than 2 weeks and so far these have gone for well over a month with no real issues. Some of the stitching on the velcro has come up but it doesn't seem to be running.

My issue with these gloves is in the sizing. I stay down in the single digit body-fat percentages, I have big hands but I'm not a beefcake (6'2" 170) . Following the sizing guide I'm an XL and the gloves fit well across my knuckles and in the palm. The problem is this XL assumes large finger and wrist girth. There's too much room in the fingers and I have to tuck the glove under itself to get the wrist tight (which is probably why the velcro stitching started to pop). There's quite a bit of stretchy material in these gloves, maybe consider dropping down a size if you have bigger hands but not fat fingers.

All in all, high quality product that stands up to a beating, I just wish they were a bit tighter in the wrist and fingers. The issues I have with the sizing aren't nearly enough to keep from using these. They still get daily hardcore use and are holding up well.
Order the next size up
May 20, 2013
Gloves are great. Very padded, very comfy; much better than my old Nike pair. However, they really do run small. I usually use Medium to Large gloves. When I measured my hands with their size chart, it sounded like Large would be perfect for me, so I ordered them. When they came, the Larges were small enough to cut off circulation in my hands. I returned them (very easily, thanks Amazon!) And got the Extra Large. They fit perfectly. Bottom line, if you have normal sized-hands, get the XL. If you have big hands, get XXL or a different glove. If you're a woman with smaller hands, get a Large. No idea who could wear a small... little kids, maybe.

UPDATE: Been using my Extra Large gloves for three weeks now, normal gym lifting, 5 times a week. They're still very comfortable and well-made, but they seem a little stiff. Certain parts dig into my hands, and while I don't notice while lifing, it leaves nasty grooves in my skin. They're better than they were when I first used them, so I'm breaking them in, but they have a ways to go. I never did wash them when I got them. Maybe after a washing, they'll loosen up more. I'll post another update later.

This gloves is very well made and oils great so far I don't love it, the small fits me well and the wrist band provides great protection but it bothers me a lot when I do push-ups, being that the finger part of the gloves just dig really deep down in between My fingers and it is very uncomfortable.

These gloves are great in everything except for the one reason I bought them: deadlifting. Almost dropped my weight set today with them on. They're not grippy enough even with chalk in that regard. I have also struggled with barbell shoulder shrugs and pull ups. I almost wish there was just a little less padding so I could get a better grip.
Not for pullups.
December 19, 2016
I bought these gloves for use in overhead presses and pullups. For the presses, they work great but they are pretty terrible for pullups. The part of the glove that extends onto your fingers is far too padded to be able to properly grip the bar so all of your grip comes from your fingertips which really exhausts grip strength really fast. I will probably look elsewhere for gloves that don't extend onto the fingers for pullups.

October 19, 2016
I purchased these so that I wouldn't continue to rip my hands doing bar work during WODs. I like the fact that the wrist straps have two Velcro areas so that the straps do not move. However, I felt that the palms of the gloves were too slippery even when I chalked them. I felt as if I was going to slip off the bar when doing kipping pull ups or TTB. I thought these were fine for any barbell work, such as DL, cleans, etc. That is why I gave these three stars.

June 29, 2016
Bought these mostly for for Crossfit style workout that I just started. It works fine for barbells or anything with a small circumference to grip, but if its anything thicker, I have a real hard time gripping (pullup bar, rope climbs) because of the way these gloves scrunch up when you make a fist, puts all the pressure on my finger tips which isn't pleasant.Maybe I'm using them wrong? They also seem to 'wedgie' themself a bit doing ground stuff like handstands or pushups/burpies.They are better than nothing, but I feel like they could work a bit better for the price.

These gloves are better as backup gloves
January 4, 2017
I owned these gloves for 8 months before I decided to replace them. These gloves worked well for the price, but I do not consider them as anything special. Just a cheap glove that gets the job done and can take a decent amount of abuse. I workout 5 days a week, power lifting and using a punching bag as well. I started tearing through the glove after a few months, but it still held together enough to use for a few months longer. These gloves are better as backup gloves, or something to use as an inexpensive option. But, if you workout often, I would recommend something more durable.

September 16, 2016
These worked well for a couple months, but eventually started deteriorating, which was slightly disappointing. The leather held up fine, but the stitching is just weak thread that comes undone and falls apart after a while. Considering that the item's intended purpose is to be used working out and that they start to fall apart so soon after being used for exactly what they're made for is a little disappointing. But the leather held up fine and what I did was sew up the areas that the thread was coming undone in and that has worked fine for me and I still use the gloves, I just shouldn't have to do that.
Just not working for me
July 10, 2015
I was right on the end of the Large size and some reviews I read said if that was the case you should go up a size. So I went with a X-Large. It is very loose around the wrist even when tightened with the strap. My fingers fit fine, however right at the base of the fingers on both hands the material is rubbing my skin when I grip the bars or dumbbells. It is leaving a straight line of calloused skin there. The finger cut outs seem to be too short as well for me. I like the material and padding, but it just does not seem to be working with my hands. I could try a Large, but I think I will just buy another brand of glove.
Great Glove, but Short Life
July 19, 2014
I'm in a wheelchair and I bought these for for protecting my hands against grime, dirt, glass or debris and for breaking when rolling around city streets. They work great for those purposes. I only wished they lasted longer. Using them for what I would consider normal use, they don't last more than maybe 3 months. Ordered my first pair 4/25/14 and ordering a 2nd pair as those have fallen apart now on 7/19/14 (not 90 days later). Why am I ordering them again? Well this fit great and did the job so if I have to spend $17 every 3 months it's still worth it (until I find a better glove).

I've used others from Amazon, some I found at Walmart, Target, etc. They were all cheap didn't last. I may move on to some weight lifting gloves, we'll see.

April 11, 2017

I'll keep searching for a better product
March 21, 2017
I don't love this product for any bar work or on the pull-up bar. Too bulky and usually end up taking them off mid-workout. The wrist portion doesn't really seem to provide much support either.

Mediocre product at best. It has some good applications but definitely doesnt have the grip strength in the long run to keep a good grip on heavy deadlifts. I notice the grip strenth leaving after using them gor about 2 weeks. The most that I can hold onto for deadlifts is 330 lbs. Pretty dissapointed.
Cheap Palm ruins an otherwise perfect XF Glove
February 11, 2016
The fit of this glove is perfect. The support and protection this style gives is the best I have every tried for XF. However they are simply not well built enough. The palm is definitely not real leather. I would be surprised if there is more than 10% of actual leather in whatever blend they made for the palm material. I understand wanting to make a "grippy" material but you simply can't do that at the expense of durability, especially for XF. These will not last more than a few rope climbs before the palm gets destroyed. If they could fix that one fatal flaw they would be perfect.

Way Too Clunky for the Average Fitness Person
February 25, 2016
Overrated. I expected better from Amazon reviews, but these are sadly just some crummily-made gloves made-in-China and they feel too thick - not ergonomic at all. I would recommend them for a quick replacement (if you lose yours), but, there are quality gloves being sold at various gyms for just a few bucks more! So not only do these gloves fail in terms of quality, but also value / price.
Definitely NOT for females, as they are very clunky. Plus there is no gel or padding. Still, they are better than using your bare hands.
Is it true to size?
July 3, 2015
My size S Harbinger gloves finally reached the end of life. Found this one, did the measurement from given chart, based on the chart, I should get size M. I did. When it arrived, was surprised to see how big it is. Looks more like Size XL for me. ( see the pic - compare my old glove to the new one ) But the gloves does pasted with size M little tag on it. It's very loose when wearing it. Have to pull the strip way pass the attach area. Not comfortable at all when doing push-up. Don't bother to return or exchange. Hoping it will shrinks when used or after few washed. Positive feedback? Well... This is a very soft feeling gloves. Cushioning is good too.
infrequent use and more for home usage
June 17, 2015
I had a pair or gloves, for which I forget the brand, for about 10 Yrs and was always amazed at how well they held up. Then they flew off the roof of my car....
I bought these the 2nd week of April and at exactly 2 months the stitching on both thumb pads is gone leaving partially attached pieces, the leather is separating from the stitching on the fingers etc....
Maybe 4 days week is too much usage for these.....it seems it maybe so.
Regardless I wish I had of been able to examine them prior to purchasing.
Prior to them falling apart they were good, B-.
The padding is just extremely thin foam with zero pressure absorption properties
I miss my old gloves and the quality that once was.....
And I'm beyond the return time by a month
The picture when I ordered them looked like the Harbinger gloves I usually buy
April 19, 2015
The picture when I ordered them looked like the Harbinger gloves I usually buy. When the cam they are much cheaper. The cuff is shorter and gives no support. the seam on the side rubs my wrist raw. They in no way measure up. attached is a picture with old glove on the right. the new glove is so short in the wrist it curls up. I guess I will have to eat the $50 and find them somewhere else. these are pretty much junk.
Heavy lifters - just give up and use chalk because this isn't for you
January 2, 2015
Pros
- Protected hands from calluses.
- Returning them was easy and painless.

Cons
- Could not feel anything with them on, including bar. There is a huge amount of cushion under the leather.
- Measured my hands using calibrated equipment at work for selecting size - gloves were too small anyway.
- One glove fit okay, the other glove's seam severely pinched the skin on the fatty part of my palm near my thumb. I suppose it's possible that my hands are different sizes/shapes but this has never happened with any glove before.

Final thought: If you don't spend a majority of your time lifting free weights and just want to do a few machines without hurting your hands then these are great for you. However, if you are even a non-competitive casual lifter then these are far too thick.

I've used these gloves for years but the last pair I bought only lasted about 1.5 years only using them 3 times a week. A big rip developed at the thumb seam. The reviews for their newer model that replaces these have a high number of complaints of the gloves not lasting. Obviously this company cut corners to lower costs and it shows in the reduced quality of the product. I've chosen to go with gloves from another manufacturer. I just can't understand why companies with a good product let greed kill it.
DO NOT BUY!!
January 30, 2017
I purchased these gloves because they were supposed to be high quality gloves that lasted a long time.... NOT THE CASE!!! First off, the seams start tearing apart easily after working out and the worst part is that every time you wear them you are left with BLACK STAINED HANDS!! And I mean a serious stain!! The picture attached is me after working out an hour and a half with these gloves AND taking a hot bath with lots of soap..... this happens every single day..... the gloves are NOT made out of leather..... I highly recommend buying another brand of gloves.....

March 4, 2016
I'm very disappointed with this product, and especially with Harbinger. I purchased what Amazon tells me is the same product I bought 2 years ago, to replace my somewhat worn weightlifting gloves. The old ones worked great, and I wanted the exact same thing. When I ordered the new product, I used my old Amazon order to identify that it was indeed the same, and Amazon listed at the top of the page that I purchased it in January 2014. Once I received the gloves, it was immediately apparent that Harbinger has changed their design. The amount of padding is drastically reduced on the new set of gloves to the point that I find them unusable. I can't even bench a pair of 70 pound dumbbells without the glove material creating a painful pinch between my thumb and index finger. There's no padding there like there was on the 2014 product. The same is true for the palm area, though it isn't quite as debilitating in that area.

There's no problem with Amazon, just with Harbinger changing the product. However, Amazon should probably change the product page or create a new product page to indicate this is not the same product, because it isn't, and many of the positive reviews are likely attributable to the older design.
I hate these gloves, although I used to love them.

Every time I use these gloves not only am I reminded how much I hate them, but how frustrated I am about it. I should've bought a different brand a long time ago but I'm frugal and was hoping these would break in and become comfortable. I'm getting ahead of myself though. The reason I hate these gloves is that the first pair that I purchased in 2009 I absolutely loved. I used them every time I went to the gym and they were a lifesaver for my hands. I mostly do free weights. By the end of 2013 they were pretty worn out so I ordered a new pair of the exact same gloves. In the intervening years Harbinger redesigned them and now they are simply awful. I'm so stubborn I've been trying to make them work for me for a year and half. The seams press into my hands and fingers in incredibly uncomfortable ways. I frequently take the gloves off to rub my hands because of how badly they hurt and I marvel at the crazy indentations the gloves have made in my skin. Both pairs are size medium. It's like the 2009 design was perfectly suited to my hands and the current design is suited for, well, certainly not me. Today was my last attempt at wearing them. By writing this review I'm absolving myself of the burden. No more pain. Time to move on and buy another brand.
Nope.

Size down. I would have exchanged but Amazon would require me to send the item back (at my cost) and reorder a new pair (at my cost) and by then I would have paid more than the gloves were worth. So I will be keeping these for now and will have to alter them myself.

I ordered a size small. I fit a size small in all gloves I have had previously but these ones were a bit big. The main problem was that the finger holes when up and over my second knuckle and bit into my skin while lifting. I will have to cut them and see if they will be better.

My other issue with these is that the gloves shed. The leather sloughs off and covers my hands in little black bits. They also stain my hands. Such a shame.

One star because the item looks true to picture and did help with calluses while lifting.

I will likely replace them with something much better in the near future. I started lifting about two months ago and thought gloves would help. Though they do help they were of inferior quality. I would pass these over. I ordered a pair of women's from the same company and had the same issues.
