Our Dogs GO-TO
July 20, 2017
We have two dogs that LOVE to chew! On a normal day, they'll spend at least an hour relaxing on the floor with their chew of choice. After months and months of trial and error, we've figured out that there is nothing out there that they prefer over the entire catalog of Nylabone products. Good hard chew. Long lasting. Leave very little residue behind. We keep a stockpile around the house. Can only imagine how many flip-flops have been saved by this product!

Nylabones are not only the greatest but also the safest chew bones for my dogs & I hope you're giving em to your dogs too! There's nothing else that even comes close to the quality & options that Nylabones provides! We've got this bone in our house & all 3 take turns chewing on it. This particular bone is going as a gift to my sweet friends furbaby, an adventurous Pug, who enjoys all types of treats & toys & now I'm hoping she'll fall in love with Nylabones alongside her Pug😉like the rest of us have!
Money well spent!
May 12, 2017
Our beagle has had several differant types of these Nylabones and really liked this one. Same durable material and our dog with chomp on these for 20-30 minutes at a time. For the negative reviews to talk about durability, i'm not quite sure what the expectation is out of a 3 to 5 dollar dog bone! In my opinion if this lasts a month or two that's probably money well spent, and I'd see no problem with it lasting twice that long with normal use. One thing to point out is that these come in different sizes so make sure you were getting the appropriate size for your dog... previously we actually ordered a large and it was way too large for our beagle.
Wrong product reviewed.

DISREGARD REVIEW....WRITTEN ON WRONG PRODUCT. SYSTEM WON'T ACCEPT MY EDIT... product description says, "Designed for teething puppies - Not recommended for adult dogs or puppies with any permanent teeth". I would say it isn't even recommended for puppies with puppy teeth. My 8lb snorkie bit off chunks on the first day. We had to chase her for thenpiece before she swallowed it. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the size is perfect for a puppy and my puppy does like the toy. Would not buy again. Wish I didn't buy it at all.

Great price and great product for heavy chewers, my hounds love them.

Great product, very durable
June 23, 2017
this is one toy my dog hasn't had the urge to tear open and de-stuff! he loves to play fetch with it and if it happens to accidentally hit someone or something in the back yard as we are playing fetch it's soft enough to where it won't hurt anyone! Great product, very durable. My German Shepherd is also known for de-stuffing any plush toy he gets....this one has lasted the longest!
Good Job KONG - Finally a strong stuffed toy
May 31, 2017
I have a VERY aggressive chewer. The puppy tries to pull apart the seams and remove the stuffing. NO Stuffed toy has ever survived more than a day. Not even the ones that say they are made for aggressive chewers ...This has lasted 10 days, so far. He loves it, and he has tried a couple of times to pick at it, but hasn't even torn it yet.

March 10, 2017
We have two small wiener dogs and one miniature horse (ok, he's a lab, but might as well be a mini horse!) The lab LOVES to play but shreds the toys so quickly because he plays a little rough (thanks to my husband). While these toys were eventually destroyed, they lasted longer than anything we ever had before! They dogs loved them and we loved that they lasted a while and didn't just waste our money :)
My Pup's Favorite!
August 5, 2016
His favorite toy!!Our 8 wk old 8 lb border collie mix LOVES this toy..he has a thing for sticks so he really adores these.. (I have 2 for him)Teething is tough and this definitely makes it more tolerable for him.Would love to play with this with him, but right now he is enjoying it so much on his own.I have checked for damages etc, and so far it is handling his little needle like teeth.
Dog Loved it
November 30, 2015
I bought this as a small add on while purchasing a few other products. The price also seemed great for a Kong product. This "stix" is a great size for my 60 lb Pitbull terrier mix and is made of a canvas like material. I liked that it was soft but was still sturdy. While I was pulling the "stix" out of the packaging my dog was immediately interested and wanted to play with it. I played a little fetch before giving it over to her, but within 10 minutes she had punctured the surface and was pulling out the stuffing. To be fair to this product I gave it a 5 star because my dog tears through anything and everything. I think that for any other dog type than a pit this would last must longer and be a great toy. Even though it did not last very long I still thought that it was a great buy because my dog loved it and the price was great. I would definitely recommend this product.
Wonderful fetch toy/easy to throw
November 17, 2015
Great fetch toy! Easy to throw and my pup loves going after it. I also like the shape of the item that makes it easy for my dog to pick up. The large size is perfect for a medium to large breed dog. Our dog is about 60lbs and it is proportional to his size. As the label reads, this is not a chew toy. If your dog is a big chewer, you may have to put this toy up and only use it for fetch as it is intended.

Larger than life but it's a hit!
September 26, 2017
The bone was quite a bit larger than we anticipated it'd be for being deemed the "small" version but our 5 lb Maltese has made it work! It's almost comical to watch him try to get a grip on it but he absolutely loves it. He doesn't have a very strong bite on him so I envision this product lasting a very long time. My only note of criticism is that I wish there was an option to buy it sans meat flavoring!

I needed something for monster pup to chew on and he likes this in his rotation.
Great for larger dogs but not for little ones
June 2, 2017
Very nicely made but I did not realize how big it was. Way to large for our little Bichon. More German of a Shepard size.
TWO YEARS LATER, still LOVE it!
May 23, 2016
Fully recommend! Purchased the Large size for my Australian cattle dog (50lbs, aggressive chewer) TWO YEARS ago and he still has this toy. It is one of the few that has survived his clutches! The Nylabone material is a very sturdy flavored plastic, which can survive some very strong canine teeth. We rotate toys every two weeks or so and he still loves chewing on this one! It's about (guesstimating) six inches long and is dense and solid. In the two years we've had this he has only managed to chew small shreds off the tips of each "bone" end. The orange part is completely intact. Sometimes I spread peanut butter over the orange section, pop it in the freezer and let him chew/lick it away. Highly recommend!
Great toy for cleaning teeth but can be destroyed
April 29, 2015
We have a Golden Retriever that destroys all toys we give her. She is able to destroy this toy as well, but it takes a long time. My dog has been chewing on these for a year or so now and the vet always comments how great her teeth look even though we don't brush them. The Good:This has a lot of textures on it that help clean the dog's teeth. The Bad:If you have a dog that is a chewer, they will be able to chew through this after a while and that leaves the little white stumps on the end out around your house for you to step on. And believe me, it hurts to step on these.
good for my mastiff, american bulldog and lab mix.
February 21, 2015
I have three large dogs, a mastiff being one of them. They all love these, but they don't last for a super long time. I do need to replace them every month or so.... (they each get one).... But as far as a product, it's the best I've found for my aggressive chewers...

Now I Know What Brand To Go With
October 11, 2017
I got this for our huge husky that manages to destroy every single toy we give him within the hour. I figured this one would be done for shortly as well, but we're on day 2 and he hasn't managed to demolish it yet! I have heard great things about the KONG brand of toys for pets but had never actually purchased any of them before (again, mainly due to doubts of durability). After this purchase it's safe to say I know what brand to stick with. The only reason I took a star away is because I feel like this could have a squeaky toy, or crinkle noise, or something added in it to make it more fun.
Great, tough toy for the price
August 29, 2017
Great, tough toy for the price. Doesn't keep my dog entertained for way too long, but it's nice knowing I won't find stuffing all over my floor!
She doesn't like as much as some of her other toys
August 2, 2017
My dog has only been able to pierce one small hole so far - although she doesn't play with it too much. She doesn't like as much as some of her other toys.
Not for aggressive chewers
March 29, 2017
Our pug loves it, we don't let our other dog thats a pit bull play with it. because it will be destroyed. Not a toy for aggressive chewers.Awesome for the little dogs.
but he also LOVED it as a fetch toy
February 10, 2016
Our little power chewer killed this within a month, even with supervision, but he also LOVED it as a fetch toy. He can destroy any toy that isn't solid rubber, so at this price point, if it made him this happy I'm not mad. We bought this because our friends' dog has one and loves it (and it has lasted over six months for them)- still highly recommend.
It's a great product, but not for heavy chewers
October 16, 2015
The only problem with this toy is that if your dog is a chewer, they rip the seams apart and get the stuffing out. Then you have stuffing all over your house. It's a great product, but not for heavy chewers. We bought the small "stick" and it was destroyed in a few days. I bought this larger one hoping it would take a little longer, we will have to see. Otherwise, it's a great product for learning to fetch. Kong is a great brand for durable toys.

Fun but fell apart too easily.
August 28, 2017
My power chewer loved this Nylabone with all the textures, but unfortunately it fell apart in a very dangerous way. The orange center started to crack and fall off in large chunks, which we were able to capture and throw away, but we let her keep chewing on the ends (which were attached to either end of a long black center stick) as long as we only let her have it while we were in the room. But, not too long after, the white end pieces fell off the center stick, and we had to take those away and throw it out to keep her from accidentally swallowing a big chunk. If this was all one piece maybe it would have been better but since it's multiple pieces stuck together (the orange middle and the 2 white ends) it ended up being a bit risky for our pupper.
Not useful if the dog doesn't like it.
April 6, 2017
I can only go on what my dog does. Every time I try to get her to chew on this instead of my hand, she takes it and drops it. It stays wherever its dropped. She does not care for it.

March 10, 2017
My 7 lb pup loves these but destroys the plastic within hours. They aren't meant to be eaten so I will stopReplacing these. Antlers are the way to go for my strong chewing toy poodle.
Loved it but breaks apart
July 18, 2016
My 7 month old pitbull had this for about 2 weeks and is chewing off parts of the orange spiral center. Just picked a piece up off the floor before he could grab it and eat it. It does say up to 35lbs and he's right around 35 now, but if you have a strong jawed dog breed I'd avoid this.
Warning: ends break off, plus update
August 26, 2010
All three of my dogs love these bones and will chew on them for hours. Unfortunately my ten month old Chesapeake Bay Retriever has figured out how to pop the ends off and then he chews off big chunks of the orange center. I did speak to customer service at Nylabone and was told the ends should not come off. I have since sent two samples in for r and d testing. Nylabone also said they would replace the bones. If your dogs are very powerful chewers keep an eye on them. Three weeks after returning two of these bones to Nylabone I received six replacements. Three of one type and three of another. As a longtime purchaser of Nylabone products I wholly recomend this company. Mojo is overjoyed to have his favorite chew toy back.
durable
July 24, 2010
My little dachshund/maltese mix has destroyed many of the chew toys I have brought for her to gnaw at. Gladly, so far, this product has withstood her eager efforts to chew it to pieces (and she's had it for about two weeks now). Until I brought her the nylabone dinosaur a few days back, this was her favorite chew toy - now it's her second favorite.I prefer offering my dog nylabone products to chew, rather than a hard bone because I believe they are safer for her. I appreciate not having to worry that she might eat small pieces that might cause her a stomach upset or worse. The product does not leave a mess of little pieces all over the floor after she's been chewing on it. Something to watch for - when I first gave my dog this toy, after she'd had it for about an hour, she chewed one of the edges into a sharp point and caught her mouth on it. It made her bleed a little. To ensure the toy remained safe, we filed the sharp edge away and gave it back to her. We have had no problems with the toy since then.I am going to give the Nylabone Pro Action Advanced K-9 Dental Device - Medium three stars for two reasons: Firstly, because the edge became sharp and cut her slightly, and secondly because my dog doesn't really seem to enjoy gnawing at the middle (orange) portion of the toy. She likes the nylabone dinosaur much more, so when she needs something new to chew on, I will buy her another one of those instead.

Sneaky Chewers
April 23, 2017
My 60lb. pitbull was able to tear into it within a few minutes he was unsupervised. So now I limit his play time with the toy, allowing for it to last a bit longer.Shipping was fast and on time. Product was as described. Good product, just as long as you keep an eye on your bud while they're playing with it, especially if you have sneaky chewers.
Nice but not strong
April 22, 2017
My dog loved this toy, however it didn't last very long before it was ripped to shreds. He liked it so much I'd still buy it again, however with the expectation of a short life. I got the brown color. I was hoping for the camo.
I don't recommend for labs that chew up toys
March 27, 2017
I don't recommend for labs that chew up toys. Within 10 minutes they had holds all through it. Had to throw it away the same day they got it.
Not what I thought
March 15, 2017
I thought being Kong brand it would last. It lasted all of 30 minutes before being ripped open and stuffing removed. We still have some toy left, but not what I was looking for.

September 29, 2016
Assumed the name Kong meant this would be somewhat durable like the Kong treat chews that my adult Doberman has not destroyed. However, a new six month old puppy was able to rip this apart and start eating the cotton-like stuffing inside within a few minutes of taking this out of the package. Glad I got it for a cheap add-on price, definitely would not buy again. Might be just fine for dogs who are gentle with their toys or smaller or older dogs who aren't miniature dinosaurs.
Destroyed in one day
January 25, 2013
I have a feisty Boston Terrier that is a medium biter. While supervised, he ripped a hole on one side of the toy. We sowed it back and he opened the other side within an hour. I've come to expect better from Kong and hope this is not a repeated problem. I gave it three stars because my dog seemed to enjoy it well enough but the durability problem is significant.

Not my fav Nylabone
July 10, 2017
One of my small dogs broke apart the orange part and swallowed some of it. I prefer the solid Nylabones.
Meh
February 6, 2017
My puppy can chew through everything and I figured this would help her but she shows no interest in it whatsoever
Dog doesnt like it... not enough give to it. What a shame.
January 29, 2016
My heavy chewing dog doesn't like this, there isn't enough give to it. Bummer. I got it because even though he is a little guy (10 pounds), he is a BIG chewer puppy, and he really likes bones that are a little softer, but he chews them apart fairly quickly and sometimes tries to swallow the plastic pieces, which isn't cool. This would have been great, but its WAY too hard and he isn't interested at all.

October 21, 2015
I was really excited when I bought this for my 60 lb Pitbull and she was thrilled with it. She loved it and so did I but as time went by and she continued to chew on the white parts I noticed that the plastic was coming off and she was then eating plastic pieces. Another thing that was concerning motivating me to throw it away was that the plastic is hard and with her persistent chewing her gums would bleed. I wouldn't recommend this product for people with dogs who love to chew.
My yorkie puppy chews on everything except this bone
January 22, 2015
My yorkie puppy chews on everything except this bone. I would have returned it if I still had the packaging. Waste of money. I bought him a "bully stick" as a replacement for this and he loves it! I would recommend that instead. It's made of beef muscle, so it's ok to swallow pieces that come off. It's really hard so it lasts a long time, but not as hard as a bone which can hurt their teeth. Be sure to get one that say "no odor" though. There is a little smell regardless once they chew on it a while.
Fell apart easily
June 17, 2014
We bought this for our lab mix as we've had good experiences with other Nylabone chew bones. However, this one broke into pieces within the day we bought it and we had to throw it away as it was too dangerous for him to keep chewing on the smaller pieces. if you have a dog that likes to chew, I would not recommend this toy for them as it probably won't last long at all.

Not up to the KONG standard
October 6, 2017
I bought two of these for two different dogs. The large dog had it for 3 days before tearing it open, he enjoyed playing tug with it, but we had to take it away after he got a hole in it so he wouldn't eat the stuffing. The smaller dog had a hole in it in literally 1.5 minutes, I timed her. I also had to take it from her so she wouldn't eat the stuffing. This toy is very cheap, it was probably worth purchasing for the big dog, but I threw away that money on giving one to the smaller dog. I gave 2 stars for the tug of war the one dog was able to enjoy.

lasted one day!
December 7, 2016
So much for an endless game of tug and fetch! This toy lasted one night! My dog had the stuffing out and was about to swallow it, thank god I noticed, I normally don't have to watch for that yet when the toy is brand new! I would not recommend this toy, especially if your dog is a chewer. Kong should discontinue this since they are suppose to be known to have indestructible toys.

August 22, 2016
Had this for 5 minutes before a dog tore a hole in it at the seam. It's not made of a material that I'm thrilled with either.I have to redo the seam and see how long it lasts on the second go.
Iffy Durability
June 22, 2016
Unfortunately, this is our dogs' favorite toy. I say unfortunately because the durability is poor at best. The first one lasted two weeks before I had to duct tape it together, the second lasted a month and the third ten minutes. Thankfully, duct tape keeps them going for awhile. I really hope Kong ups their game on these - all of the the other Kong products I've purchased have lasted incredibly well. And, like I said, our dogs love them. . .and yes, I've sent off for yet another. I think this will be the last, though, if it doesn't last better.
Wanted to love this, but it didn't last a day
July 19, 2015
If my dogs were rating this, they'd give it 5 stars! My lab and boxer (both a year old) thoroughly enjoyed destroying this. I love Kong toys and wanted to love this one, too. But they ripped it in the first day. We just can't do anything with a seam.

Dangerous!
August 2, 2017
So dangerous! When the dog chews past the white part, the orange plastic part is very sharp when it breaks and is NOT safe for any dogs. Our dog ingested some orange plastic bits, which she threw back up over the next three days. It is not like a typical Nylabone. Would give zero stars if that was an option. For reference, our dog is a 10 month old Chipin mix. She loved the bone, but if you have a pup that loves to chew, be warned.
Too big, house smells like pee from it's flavoring.
July 20, 2017
The XL size is way larger than I was expecting and the bone smells when it's being chewed on. My whole house smells like pee but it's these flavored bones from Nylabone.
Can easily become a choking hazard after short time...
June 5, 2017
Sadly this isn't going to work for my 6month old puppy.. she's a power chewer and this was not durable for her at all. After playing with and chewing on the toy for about 3 minutes I took the first photo, the second photo is after about a total of ten minutes. I'll let her play wth the toy a little longer but only when she is playing with me and supervised.

Made In China
March 20, 2015
I was excited to get such a great deal on a Nylabone product as we have always had good experiences with their products. This product however, is made in China not the U.S. I really wish I had known this prior to purchasing, but thankfully I haven't opened the package so I will be returning it. Also, reviews by other customers mentioned the ends coming loose. The one that I received does have ends that swivel. I'm sure within a short amount of time, my dog would have both ends off. Very disappointed in Nylabone for making this product, it doesn't hold up to their standards at all.

Worst kong product ever made
September 5, 2017
I live by kong products, but I've purchased 2 of these and my dogs ripped them into a cotton snow storm in less than 3 minutes each time. I've never had anything negative to say about this amazing company, but these are not at all up to their normal standard of quality. Buy one of their many other amazing products instead of this. The rope stuffed animals are a great option instead of this item. They destroy those as well, but it takes much longer.
If your dog chews at all, don't bother!
May 18, 2017
8 minutes is all it lasted - our little dog had all the stuffing out of it and the "durable fabric" shredded. We've had cheap stuffed animals which were not intended to be chew toys last longer! Even for the less than $5.00 add-on price, it's too much. Kong, you've let us down.
NOT FOR CHEWERS
October 30, 2016
I was honesty expecting a better, more durable toy from the KONG brand. Within only A COUPLE MINUTES of having this toy, my 6 month old (20lbs) puppy had ripped open one of the ends and was shredding stuffing out of it. After less than 2 hours with the toy, she has opened it from 5 different ends.. each time requiring me to take it from her and dig out more stuffing. Also, "minimal stuffing?" Maybe compared to a giant stuffed teddy bear. This is the most stuffing I've seen come out of one of my puppy's toys. This toy is only good for a dog that either A) is not a strong chewer, or B) is only interested in a game of fetch. We'll be sticking to the hard rubber toys.
Dont do it if your dog is obsessed with what is inside!
September 18, 2015
My dog is at the vet right now being treated for dehydration, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. I gave him the stick, it was over stuffed and he ate part of the stuffing which expanded in his stomach. He's 7 months old. My heart is broken. I hope they do not have to do surgery... No more stuffed toys.Ironically, this came up when I searched "heavy duty dog toys" it lasted 5 minutes.
Easily Kong's worst product
December 19, 2014
Wow, I expect Kong products to be the most durable, thats why I buy them. This thing is just horrible. Quality is terrible. Seriously, I pulled the stick from the packaging, handed it to my dog, went to the kitchen to take off my coat and backpack, and walked back to begin a game of fetch, only to find she had already been able to put a hole in it. Once theres a hole, its done, because the dog will eat the stuffing if I left it with her. Horrible product and I'm very disappointed.
Save your money. Not worth it
