Side by Side Comparison of: Aerosoles

Loving these boots. They are a little tight on the top of my foot, but that tends to happen to m e pretty often with boots. I'm sure I just need to wear them in. Otherwise, I love these boots.The color is perfect to wear with jeans, and I really appreciate that the zipper comes all the way up the side. I usually wear these over skinny jeans, so I like that the zipper on the side allows me to easily get them on/off without messing up my pants or getting them all crumpled inside :)

These Aerosoles tall boots are exactly what I've been looking for! I live in South Dakota where the winters are harsh on my shoes. I usually end up buying a new pair of boots every 2 years (if I'm lucky). I recently received another pair of Aerosoles shoes as a gift, and immediately did a ton of research on the brand. I have been very pleased with all of my Aerosoles purchases. I have two pair of heels, and now two pair of these "With Pride" riding boots (in black and tan). I am 5'11" and typically wear a 10.5 or 11 in boots. I tried these on in store and found that the 10.5 fit perfectly with a normal weight pair of socks, so that's what I ended up ordering from Amazon (MUCH better price)! While I've never needed wide calf boots, I appreciate the convenience of having the double zipper as an option. My calves are about 15 inches around, so I don't need the double zipper. A nice feature for someone who would though. I have come to love the comfy soles in all Aerosoles shoes, and these boots are no exception! I can wear these all day long teaching, running errands, and so much more without my feet hurting at all! Thank you Aerosoles for yet another great pair of shoes I will wear constantly!! :)

I'm both taller and kind of leggy for my height, so bear that in mind. The previous reviews of people having a bit of trouble who were shorter might be absolutely right. For me, they're perfect. I have now owned them almost exactly a year, one pair of black and one brown. The brown's gotten more wear. They're probably a bit warm because they're synthetic, but all winter long I was quite glad for that, and there's something I didn't originally think about: Aside from making them cheaper? Synthetic means that I have been wearing these as my "crappy weather" shoes through rain and snow and mud for one whole year, and they clean up easy and I'm never worried in the least about waterproofing. I'm sure they won't last forever, but for the price I expected them to seem more flimsy. I think I'm going to get at least a few years out of them, and I'm very pleased with that. Not a lot of arch support, but I will give Aerosoles a lot of credit, they're incredibly comfortable even when I'm out and on my feet all day.I'm not the sort of person who needs what's usually marked as a "wide calf" but I'm also not skinny, and they're just right for me, whereas a lot of boots like this run at least a little too narrow. I wish they'd produce stuff like this in more than two calf sizes because I don't think there's any way for "regular" and "wide" to encompass the entire population, but as long as they don't, it's important to know what you're getting.

I adore these boots. They're a great fit, and although they're wide-calf, they don't look like buckets on my legs. They actually taper in at the top and fit beautifully. The leather is soft and comfortable and I get compliments on them constantly. These will receive plenty of wear this year!

I don't know why some people complain that the shafts of these boots are too wide. My calves are about 15", so they are average. My shoe size is 7.5 and these boots fit perfectly!!!! Couldn't be happier, because of the reviews I was afraid they would be too wide but they fit just right and they are really well made. They don't fit snug (I can even tuck my jeans in) but that makes them even more comfortable. They look and feel like leather and look awesome!Best boots I purchased in a long, long time.

Just received my boots and so far, am very happy with the fit. Good toe room and best of all: they zip up! Those with larger calves know what a problem this is. I was expecting to need the double zipper feature to accomodate my calves, but with thin leggings/socks, no problem and they even have a little space. Not too tight at all. Jeans tucked in may require unzipping the second zipper, but that's fine with me. The bonus is that they are TALL... actually come up all the way up to the top of my calf (something I haven't found in other boots). I'm 5'11" with long legs, and wear a size 11 (sometimes needing a wide width). Some size 11s are too tight in the toes, but these are good. I'd say they fit as expected or maybe even a little big.For reference, at the widest part of my calf, I measure 17" and from heel to top of calf, also about 17". So that gives you an idea of how the size 11 fits at least. Others have commented that the boots feel big in the heel. I feel that too, but I'm okay with a little looseness there. Worth it for all the other features. Bonus if you need an orthodic/gel support in that there's room in the heel area.Ordered dark brown and color and finishes are good. Doesn't look "cheap". Also like the rubber sole with traction that you always get with Aerosoles. Will be good for walking in the winter without fear of slipping on light snow/ice.Overall, very happy.

These are great boots, but the fact that they are wide calf style should really be more prominent in the description. You have to expand the item description, and it's the very last item.I have fairly thick calves (a lot of riding boots won't zip up on my calves at all), and they are still about an inch too big. The price is great though, and they are absurdly comfortable, so I decided to keep them to wear with big thick socks in the winter.If you ARE looking for a wide-calf boot, these even have an extra zipper to allow them to expand wider. I imagine they would be great for ladies who have trouble finding riding boots.

Great very comfortable boots, but not real leather material. My foot is about 10.5 inches from heel to toe and I usually wear size 7. The boots fit perfectly and did not need to be broken in. No blisters, no pressure anywhere.At first I purchased normal black and then I bought a 2nd pair in Black Crocodile. I like textured ones a little better. I also tried the Brown Crocodile. I like that the color is dark brown but still prefer these boot sin Black.I use it for working on a farm as well as riding horses. However it is very stylish and can be used anywhere.On the picture: in the middle is the black boot I wore for more than a month. On the sides are black crocodile and brown crocodile. I returned brown and kept black as a 2nd pair. Hope this was helpful!

I just received these boots today and I'm sure I will break them in; however, the extended zipper makes them look a little sloppy. Maybe they just need to be worn in order to get the nice rounded shape. To me, the extra zipper makes the material look stiff and rigid. I'm in between a regular boot and wide-calf, so I've struggled to find the "right fit" for a while. These feel good overall, the size is as expected and the additional zipper leaves plenty of room for jeans, leggings, etc. The only complaint that I would have is that the extended zipper on my left boot appears to have additional glue or something that makes unzipping the zipper VERY difficult. I felt like I was going to rip the zipper out when trying to get it past the glue/material. I hope that it wears and eventually isn't so difficult to zip and unzip.

I really wanted to love these boots, and I do for the most part. They are very cute, a great color, and fit true to size for me. The only problem I have with them is in the calf. They are supposed to be wide calf, and I guess they are, but only if you unzip the second zipper, which looks like you forgot to zip your boot up! Kind of silly looking to be honest. Yes, I still wear them, but I wish they were a true wide calf, without the use of the extra zipper.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with these boots. Normally with riding boots, I have trouble squeezing my calves into boots that are the ideal size for my foot — not these. Definitely quite roomy for the calves, even without that second zipper unzipped. They have a nice cushion in the insole that makes them pretty comfortable. They're quite tall.Can't put my finger on exactly why, but these boots seem cheap. They're really shiny, they smelled funny when I opened the box, the zippers seem more like flimsy clothes zippers than sturdy boots zippers. Still happy with them, I expect they'll last two winters or so.

UPDATE: Put these boots on to go out the door and realized the seam is coming apart on the bottom. There is already a small hole. I saw another review where they said the same thing and the seller would not refund them. BEWARE!!-The fitThe foot was very narrow! I have a AAA narrow foot. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7. I got these in a 7 and they just barely fit snuggly. They will work for me, but if you have a wide foot they may not. If you have an average foot, I would go up a half size.The shaft was good -very tall and plenty of room in the calf. I have average size calves and had a little room to spare, but not much. they do have stretch pieces on the inside so I think larger calved women could do well with these.-The lookvery shiny black. Looked as pictured. Not the trendiest I've ever seen but a good solid black. I was pleased.-The smellThey smelled horrible; not like leather, like a toxic cheap smell. I've had them for a couple days airing out in a spare room and I think they will be ok. But I couldn't have worn them straight out of the box.Side note -packinging was very nice. They came in a large tall box so as to not crease them.Overall a good boot for an average price. I would recommend them.

These boots seem to be inconsistent. My wife had one pair from a few years ago that fit comfortably from day 1 and lasted a long time. The 2nd pair was not so comfortable and leaked water into the boot from stepping in a minimal amount of snow right from day 1. Will not be getting much use out of the 2nd pair. Aerosoles will do nothing to help since they were not bought directly from them.

I bought these boots in tan in Jan 2015, and in March 2016, I noticed that the heel of one of the boots had come apart from the upper part of the boot. Before this unfortunate separation, I really loved these boots. Super comfy, stylish, good for rainy and/or cold days. But I think my boots should last more than one year, especially since I live in a climate where I could only wear them for 5 months out of the year, and even then, I only wore them maybe twice a week.

I usually love aerosoles because of the comfort they offer. They've always been fitted without being tight. These were galoshes! The material was stiffer than aerosoles have typically been, and there was no sheen like in the photo whatsoever. I have narrow feet and calves, but usually wear medium width because narrow is hard to find. These ran wide, all the way from the footbed to the top of the boot.If you have wide feet and calves these would be great for you. You could apply a shine/conditioner to get the sheen in the photo. The material in the footbed did flex out at the sides (from being too wide) rather than holding firm, so they would probably soften up on their own after wearing them a bit.

The fit was as tight around the calve area, which is why I ordered a half size bigger. Good thing I did because the calve was just right when the second zipper was pulled all the way down. The bottom portion of the boot was a bit too roomy. I did not like the second zipper for calf width adjustment, was very obvious and they looked and felt like plastic. It was the first thing my husband said when I tried them on. I misread when I was shopping and thought the upper half was leather. Very disappointing since I am a big fan and customer of Aerosoles. Their quality is usually much better. Of course I am returning them.

I ordere 2 pair of these boots - 1) Black/Grey Fabric top, and 2)Light Brown. Although they both fit well, I'm not satisfied with them because they are not real leather, and I didn't like the secondary zipper. I wore the black pair in the house for a couple hours, and creasing on the foot makes it obvious they are not real leather. For the price they are OK, but not for me.

I have been looking for light brown riding boots that I can wear over skinny jeans. Most boots I've tried won't zip easily or comfortably over my calves, but when measured I have 15" calves, which are listed as "normal". Even supposed 15" openings don't always work. So I figured these should fit. At worst they'd be too small and I'd have to use the double zipper feature.When I put these on, they were way too wide, leaving at least a .5 in gap between my leg and the boot. This may be because they hit me right below the knee (I'm 5'2" ish) and that isn't the widest part of my leg. Regardless, I definitely don't need the extension feature and these are being returned. They might fit someone with long legs or at least 5'4/5'5 height.Quality wise, I found the boots sufficient. The material won't pass as real leather, but it isn't unattractive and feels substantial enough. Color is true to picture, the lining is soft and they're easy to put on. The fabric fit my leg oddly, though, and jutted out along the outside of my knee at the top and wrinkled oddly at my ankle. Again, maybe because I'm too short for them.I usually wear between a 7.5 and an 8.5 depending on the shoe, and my feet do run slightly wide (especially in heels and ballet flats). I ordered these in an 8M and they were a little long, but would have been wearable if the shaft fit right. The width seemed to fit well.

I think the maker of the boots expects the wearer to just stand in them and not move at all. I realized that i can't ask much for the price but still, the quality is pretty bad.

I wanted to like them, especially since they actually did (barely) fit over my big calves and they also came in a wide shoe size. However, the height of the boot itself was taller than was comfortable for my leg. I'm 5' 4.5" but I have long legs for my short stature and the top of the boot shaft rubbed the top of my leg by my knee cap in a weird and uncomfortable way. The one positive thing with the extra panel and the gaping that was reported in other reviews means that one could actually wear boot sleeves, which seems a difficult trend to make happen with wide calves. I might have been able to make this boot work had I only planned to wear my jeans/leggings tucked into them all the time but my persnickety feet didn't find the boot itself comfortable enough to consider keeping them. It would have been ideal if the extra panel have been a stretchy material, as the boot material had no given whatsoever and breaking the zipper would have been a real concern. They looked cute though, but not cute enough to keep, sadly.

These are the most uncomfortable Aerosoles that I have ever purchased and I am quite disappointed, since I have been a customer for a very long time. I've worn them 3 times and my feet and legs hurt every time. The sole is hard, the "leather" is hard, they squeeze my feet. I put in gel insoles and still they are the pits. It's too bad that I can't return them. The only reason that I give them 2 stars is because they are cute, but other than that, I would not recommend them, even on sale.

I had boots very similar to these from Charlotte Russe, but they no longer carried them so I was looking for something close and I came across these on Amazon. I was a little wary at first because of the expected fit, but these feel fantastic! Wearing them for the first time, it was of course, a little tighter of a fit than expected, but after wearing them for a few hours, it shaped to the contour of my feet. I have a very hard time finding cute, affordable shoes in my size (11 US womens), and I am very, very glad that I bought these and with Prime shipping. I will most definitely buy these again and again. They look great, feel great, and all a a good price. I couldn't be more satisfied.Update: I paid $54.40 for these, including tax. I would not pay $61.98 plus tax for them.UPDATE: 12/1/2015 I bought these back in January earlier this year. I only wore them until about Spring time and then I started wearing them again about a month ago. The soles are literally falling apart from the shoe, I've had to reglue everything back together. The price for my size is now $69. I would not recommend these boots- they're not durable nor of good quality.

So sad. I got these on an AMAZING sale, and I was so stoked to finally try them on! I am 6'1" with as size 12 foot. I have been searching for a long while now for a pair of brown riding boots in my size.The pros: great fit in the toe box and heel. Definitely room for socks, but didn't feel like my heel would slip out. Quality pair, well made.The cons: I also noticed a slight wrinkling down at the ankle area. Which I would have been willing to overlook if not for the very wide calves issue. I looked like I had chicken legs. Like I was wearing a pair of men's galoshes. So disappointed.All that to say, don't avoid purchase of this pair if you have what's probably more like 'normal' sized calves. I know my legs are skinny, but I was holding out hope. I'm sad to send these back, but I would feel ridiculous trying to pretend these are way too loose.

Even with the double zip, I struggled to get my calf zipped in these boots. I'm athletic, but my calf isn't ginormous. They also gave me blisters after less than an hour. Its hard to explain - my toes are where they should be, so they seem like they're the right size in the toe, and smaller in the heel and calf. Meh. Disappointed.

I wanted a pair of boots that wouldn't break the bank since I have gained some weight and my all leather boots no longer fit. These are too wide and make my calves look even wider. The cheap fabrication makes my feet and legs sweat like crazy and I found myself wanting to rip them off when I was out in public. I would not recommend these to anyone. Keep looking.

Weirdest fit ever. I ordered a half size up because the reviews said it ran small. The foot is incredibly narrow, while the calf is HUGE. Who has that narrow of feet with such large calves? It looked like I was wearing rainboots. My calves are about 14 inches around and I read these were good for 15 inch calves. 1inch bigger I can handle but there was a good 2 inches maybe more of room. And the foot part was very uncomfortable. I'm returning them.

Two reasons why I did not like these boots. One was the fact that they looked cheap. The top part of the foot had small cracks running through the material so they did not come close to looking like faux leather. Two, the shaft of the boot kept slapping against the back of my calves when I walked which quickly became annoying even when I tucked my jeans in they were still too large. Normally the boots circumference of the shaft fits me as expected. I have average sized legs. I did NOT order wide calf, but these are definitely for extra large calves! I did give it one star because the insole of the boot was comfortable.

I am incredibly disappointed in this product. I bought these seeing reviews from another teacher about how comfortable they are when you stand all day. After wearing them for 3 weeks, I suddenly noticed the sole of the boots are separating from the boot itself. Upon further inspection, the leather is peeling off. There is no reason for this as I am a high school teacher so my shoes get very little wear and tear, as I walk around a classroom all day. I spent $60 for these boots and cannot even wear them through the winter months. I have to buy another pair and believe me, they won't be Aerosoles!

I have the same pair in black and they fit like a charm. I got these and I barely got both zippers up but I did. I wore them twice and the heel broke off. SO upset!

Let me say I love Areosoles and have many of their shoes however these boots were cheap looking and the one zipper did not zip the entire way up the boot. Very disappointing purchase will be returning.
