Effective and simple Wall Clock.
August 31, 2015
Karen Says: I bought this analog clock to replace a digital Atomic clock because the Atomic clock was difficult to change when DST started or stopped. It would sometimes change to a different time zone, all on it's own. This wall clock is "only" analog, but it keeps good time, looks nice and is very low maintenance. Now I will change it twice a year and it will stay changed.
and I am 25 so I still have good hearing. Of course
May 13, 2015
Works well, I have had it for 2 years and have only taken it off the wall to change for daylight savings. Surprisingly the batteries I originally put in there are still going. That's Duracell for you! Some reviews say that this clock is loud. I did not notice this, and I am 25 so I still have good hearing. Of course, "loud" and "quiet" are fairly subjective but even with everything else turned off I cannot hear it.The great thing about this clock is that it's not electric. If the power goes out, you still can keep track of what time it is. And, for that hour you need to charge your phone, this clock is perfect to have in the living room to know the time
Love the clock, love the tick tock
January 3, 2015
In the description of this item, it stated that this clock's ticking can be heard and annoys most people. That the clock's ticking can be heard is true. But I am not most people, and there is nothing as comforting as the ticking of clock on a quiet morning, or quiet afternoon, or as soothing as in the quiet hours of evening and night. It signals the continuum of life, and life is precious, as is the time, in which life occurs. AND it is accurate!
Solution to the question of, "What time is it?"
August 9, 2014
I like keeping time, and these clocks are a fantastic way of doing so without breaking the bank. These clocks are worth the money, and it's nice to have one in every room! They're also very accurate. Now, I don't have to answer my kid when they ask, "What time is it?" because I just tell them to look at the clock (instead of having them race to go find a digital display). One thing, though - these clocks do have a rather loud ticking mechanism, so if you have one in the bedroom, it CAN keep you up. We like the sound, so it doesn't bother us, but my brother would move the clock to another room when he'd come and visit.
Tick Tock It's a CLOCK
January 30, 2010
This clock was inexpensive but it's large enough to see from across the room, looks great and keeps perfect time. I like the analog display, and with a quartz movement it keeps time very accurately. I saw one review that said it was loud. Hey, it's a clock. The second hand moves in one second increments so the escapement mechanism makes a sound every second. I find the sound rather soothing. It is possible to minimize the sound by putting some sort of sound dampening material between the clock and the wall. A piece of cloth or some felt pads might work. However, there is a one down side to this clock. I live in an area that has very poor AM radio reception. When I have my radio on listening to AM the intermittent electromagnetic noise of the clock can be heard in the radio. That one second sound is not so soothing. The clock is about 8 feet away from the radio. At night my reception is so bad I never listen to the radio then anyway, so this is only a minor irritant. Overall I think this clock is a great value. I bought three of them for myself. One for my computer room, one for my garage, and one for my exercise room. They all work perfectly.

Easy to read poll side in our back yard
May 13, 2017
We've had trouble with the Arizona sun killing our clocks and batteries. This one is our second, but the first lasted several years in the 119º weather. Easy to read poll side in our back yard. Will buy it again.
Best and most accurate wall clocks we own. Also nearly waterproof for kitchen/bathroom placement.
May 14, 2016
Best and most accurate wall clocks we own. As these are indoor/outdoor we have one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom and the cooking/shower vapors have no effect on these very well designed and accurate time pieces. Highly recommended product and seller.
It has been on my living room wall for several weeks now and looks fine. It seems to be keeping perfect time also
November 9, 2015
I bought this clock to replace a slightly smaller atomic clock which, unfortunately, could not pick up the signals where I needed to place it. When I took this out of the box I thought it might be too big for an inside clock. It has been on my living room wall for several weeks now and looks fine. It seems to be keeping perfect time also. I am very pleased with this clock.
A Great Way to Improve Punctuality
March 29, 2015
It is so crucial in today's world to know what time it is. If you don't know what time it is, how would you ever be on time to something? I invested in this clock because I truly believe it helps me get places on time. For example, last Tuesday I was taking a really long shower. It was because Pirates of the Caribbean was on, and I was watching it while I showered. After the movie was over, I dried off and then realized I only had 5 minutes to get to class! Now, with the clock mounted on the wall in my bathroom, I doubt this will ever happen again. In fact, since installing the clock, I've actually begun to arrive places early. Sometimes as early as five minutes before the time that I'm supposed to be there. This clock was totally worth the money... I may even buy a second clock for my kitchen.
I love this clock!
June 14, 2014
Anybody that knows me knows that I have bad lamp karma; bad stapler karma and bad clock karma - LOL.Goodness! How hard is it to find a clock like this?! Well, for me anyway - much harder than I thought! So, I FINALLY have one that works for starters; and that is big enough and that I like the numerals. You'd be surprised sometimes how ugly the numbering can be!And I wanted just basic, old fashioned, school-house looking style, with a second hand and I didn't even care what color, although I would've liked red.So far, so good. I just wish I could secure it better to the wall. Other than that, it's a dream.
Universal-Indoor/Outdoor Clock

The clock hangs outdoors open to the elements and has not gotten any condensation in it at all. Works great. What you see with picture is what you get a basic clock that is easy to read and it has held up to its words, built to handle the elements.

Looks nice and works fine
October 2, 2015
It's a relatively inexpensive plastic clock with big, easy-to-read numbers. We put one in our "great room" style kitchen and family room which you can easily from across the room. I'm about to get another one for upstairs so that our son (age 6) can know when it's time to get on his shoes for school.Several people have commented on the sound. It is a mechanical clock and as such, you can hear it tick. Personally, I like the sound. It reminds me of my childhood, and visiting my grandma who had a big grandfather clock.
size and font makes it easy to read from afar
August 3, 2015
your basic clock.. size and font makes it easy to read from afar..it doesn't so much tick as makes a single " clunk" sound as it counts the seconds..was annoying at first but then became unnoticeable.. use it outdoors on the screen porch and it's suitable
Disappointed- should have paid closer attention
June 3, 2015
The issue isn't so much with the clock but that it wasn't what I expected and that is likely my fault. My condo had a weird plug that I was informed was for a plug in clock. I looked for an electric clock and saw this but didn't verify it needed to be plugged in. Sadly it's a basic battery operated clock.
Excellent wall clock
June 6, 2014
I bought this wall clock because I needed to temporarily replace my twenty-some years old beautiful wall clock by Villeroy & Boch. This wall clock is no where near as attractive as my Villeroy & Bock clock, but I did not have the time to take my old clock to a watch/clock repair. I am very happy to have this wall clock in the meantime, as it is easy to read the time from a mere glance. It is lightweight and functional.
To fix the loudness problem:
October 23, 2013
The clock is loud, but here's how you fix it: The problem is the minute hand. First, unload battery. Then take a butter knife or a screwdriver and pop off the face. Then take a pair of scissors and cut the minute hand as close to the base as possible. (Both front and back) Now enjoy your clock that is as quiet as a church mouse.
Inexpensive but keeps time
October 13, 2013
My biggest concern with this clock was it running slow or fast. So far it's worked great (couple months) and is visible from far away. It feels and looks cheap so it's probably not something you want to make your house look nice. I use it in my labs where it is up high on a wall and you can't really tell that it's cheaply made.

Great Deal - Works Great
September 29, 2017
Bought one of those hooks to hook it on siding. Since I read about the little hole at 12 o'clock, I patched it up with cement glue. I took the plastic cover off and inserted the battery and then snapped the plastic cover back on the battery mechanism. The clock has kept good time and is very easy to read. I have it semi under the roof overhang... but not completely ... so far so good.. and I really like it. It's a regular inexpensive clock - but it is priced just right as far as I'm concerned. Better than getting dressed, using your gas and having to hunt for something like this. Didn't see anything in Wal-Mart that came close... so, arriving at my door for this price... that's amazing and so easy. It's a bit nicer than some even though it is encased in plastic (what did you expect). It does look nice. I wouldn't use it as "decor"... but for the patio, garage, laundry room, an office... it's perfect. I am definitely buying another one to hang in my garage so I can tell time when I come in thru the garage (I like to know when I arrived, others like to know when I go...but they can buy their own darn clock)....
Solid
July 24, 2017
A well performing clock that is highly visible. My only regret is that it doesn't use a larger of multiple batteries, Then the replacement interval would more closely match the shelf life of alkaline batteries.
I guess getting 3 years out of a less than $20 clock is not so bad. For what it's worth this clock sits on ...
May 2, 2016
According to Amazon I bought this almost exactly 3 years ago for about $17. It is broken and I need a new one. I guess getting 3 years out of a less than $20 clock is not so bad. For what it's worth this clock sits on my screened-in back porch so while it is near a screen door it is not actually fully exposed to elements; high enough up it never gets direct anything just humidity and temperatures. I will probably re-purchase since it is large and simple so it is easy enough for my young children or their grandparents to read.
Good for semi-protected locations but not for freestanding locations.
September 2, 2014
I needed an outdoor rated clock since it was going in the garage which most gets hot but can get humid in both summer and winter. It work fine for such protected locations and the size is big enough to be easily seen from the driveway or street. The plain style also goes well in many locations and not just a garage, covered deck or shed but would probably work great in these type of locations. Unlike other "outdoor" clocks the battery compartment is covered even if it is by a cheap piece of clear plastic that slips back on firmly after each battery change. I suspect the lettering would fade in sunlight since it just a paper background a not painted plastic and there is a hole in the back of the case that could allow rain in it if just hung on a post. If they had made it an indentation instead of a hole it would have solved that design issue and have made it suitable for a wet location which it is not. It is also very light and might blow off the screw or nail in high winds if not sheltered. Still accurate but it's only been less then 2 months.
Universal 11381 Indoor/Outdoor Clock, 13-1/2in, Black
March 14, 2014
It is a good size to be/for an outdoor clock. I have had this clock mounted outside, since Dec 24, 2013. I live in an area where it gets well below zero, so I am pleased that it has kept good time, - so far.The only thing I don't like, is that the clock's 'face' is Plastic and not Glass. Plastic will always becomes hazy after long term exposure to sunshine, which makes it hard to read. This even happens to stuff you may have mounted in the shade (ie., a thermometer), it just takes longer. You can 'buff' it away/out (but, the buffing lasts less than one year, and the haze is back - it becomes an annual event). This doesn't happen with a glass face/lens.
Clear and precise and runs quietly
February 10, 2014
I keep this clock indoors and the big bold numbers allows me to see the time easily from quite a distance, visible from other rooms from where I've hung it. This is great since I don't have to have clocks in each room cluttering up the walls or tables in order to keep track of time.I didn't want anything expensive and after looking through a variety of similar clocks, I chose this one because of the clean design. Also, it didn't have a brand labeled prominently on the face of the clock detracting from the clean lines other than a small "QUARTZ" listed in small print which is not obtrusive. The second hand on the clock is red, and runs quietly which is nice. You don't hear it unless you get really close right next to it, and even then it's a very soft and faint. My only reservation with the clock is that it is a little industrial looking and reminds me of the clocks we had in school where we would wait anxiously watch for it to reach the magic time when class was dismissed. I figured at such a low price, I would try it out and if I was unhappy with it, I could shop for another clock to replace it and move this one to the garage, but it's worked out well so far.

Its a clock
February 20, 2016
It's a clock. Lightweight. I do like the staying and the size is just right. Doesn't seem to be too many 10 inch clocks out there.Update: I bought four of these four months ago and two of them have died - don't keep time. 50% is not good odds. Don't bother. Wish I hadn'tI'll pay more and get better next time.
LOUD ticking!
November 17, 2015
LOUD! How did I miss this in other people's reviews? Maybe I just wasn't thinking about it, considering my last clock was quiet. This is NOT the clock for a quiet space. Incredibly loud. I am unsure if I will bother to return or just move to a space where the noise doesn't matter.
Cheap, but functional
November 25, 2014
It keeps time. The tick of the second hand is pretty loud. The plastic is a bit low quality. This is a very basic clock. That's to say that it doesn't have any real style or appeal. That, however isn't what I bought it for. I wanted a cheap clock for my weight room. It keeps correct time, which is all I really wanted. In the future I may get a nicer clock, but hey, for the price, it's good clock.
cheap clock but does the job
January 2, 2014
yes the quality of the clock is very marginal in all respects, however the quartz movement is standard and mass produced and is essentially the same whether it is a five dollar clock or thirty dollar clock so yes it does make a tic-tock noise and is accurate. I ordered two clocks and one was fine but the other one had a minute hand that when located at 12 the hour hand was have way between the hour numbers. I removed the plastic face, removed the battery, held the minute hand at 12 and gently moved the hour hand to the next hour (3) where it should have been. Replaced the battery and it ran fine and was accurate after 24 hours. I replaced the plastic face cover. I suspect the hour hand was jolted out of its factory position while in shipping. Yes, during the holiday most packages are literally thrown from place to place and not carried.April 25th, 2014. UPDATE: Too many problems with both of the clocks I purchased, fail to keep accurate time and are simply junk. Both of the clocks I purchased have gone to landfill. I wish I spent more money and went with a different vendor my worst purchase from Amazon in fifteen years of buying items online. Amazon is the best but the clocks were the worst.
The minute hand had fallen off when it arrived.
October 10, 2013
It's nine bucks. What do you expect from a nine dollar clock? It arrived, the minute hand had fallen off to it was just hanging, but when I prised the plastic front off I was able to stick it back on its seating and adjust it so it was at 12 when the hour hand was at the hour.So if you have a bit of patience and a screwdriver, this clock is OK.Just remember it's a nine dollar clock, and don't expect too much...
Great For The Price, But...
August 13, 2013
The clock is cheap, both in price and construction. The plastic is very soft. Being cheaply made wouldn't have been a problem except that the packaging isn't shrink-wrapped and doesn't protect that soft plastic face while in transit. Mine was scratched all to hell by the other contents of the package.Honestly, shipping to return it and send a new one would have been more than the original price of the clock. I chose to keep it and save everyone the hassle. (It's in a dark-ish corner where you really can't see the scratches anyway.) If this is the only object in the box, you might get yours in good shape. Odds are, though, yours will wind up as scratched as mine unless they start shrink-wrapping the otherwise good packaging.

Large, visible from afar but didn't last too long .
August 3, 2017
Bought this to hang outside my barn near my riding arena. I like that it is large enough to from 200 ft away. Only problem is that the original one only lasted about 8 Months. We only have rainy weather in the winter - not freezing or snowy so I was disappointed that it didn't last longer. Hopefully this one will last longer
Clean, simple look but not up to rain
March 16, 2017
Positives: simple, uncluttered, easy-to-read. I had it on my deck and could see the time from all over the yard. Kept time better than an expensive thing that was supposed to use satellites to be absolutely correct but was always several minutes fast. Good price.Negative: didn't last a year - "weather resistant" didn't resist the weather in a wet, Northern California winter. It made it through spring, summer, and fall just fine - including baking heat in direct sun, but couldn't handle rain.
Outdoor clock hand fell off.
December 30, 2016
I bought one of these about 6 months for the outside. One of the hands fell off. (plastic broke holding hand on) I super glued it back on but lasted about a month. I emailed the company about just buying the hands and motor but never heard back from them. Not worth the hassle so I ordered another. These are fairly inexpensive, and was not worth the time I was spending trying to fix the hands from falling off. The new one is about a month old, and so far is working OK. I like the size and the fact that it is water proof.
Great for a kid's room, makes learning to tell time much easier
November 13, 2016
I bought 2 of these two years ago. One for my kid's room to make it easy for him to learn how to tell time (check!), and one for my bathroom because I like to keep an eye on the time during my bath, but don't put my contacts in (super blind) until I've been in there a bit. The reason I am writing a review is to share that one of them has stopped working. Yes, I changed the battery! It just doesn't work anymore. I ordered a new one, though, because while it is annoying that it only lasted two years, the price is very low. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Oh..also, not sure what they are thinking calling it an indoor/outdoor since there is a small hole above the 12, which would let the rain in.[Update, the new clock died, too...and it's not the battery...this one lasted a few months, but the one in my kid's room is still going strong. He suggested that the moisture in the bathroom air may be the culprit. I had 4 stars, but am going to change to 3.]
It's Just Okay
July 14, 2015
What can I say ? It's a clock, a clock large enough to be seen from a distance. I purchased this clock before, a few summers ago, and it did not last for a full year and a half. The product states it is an indoor/outdoor clock, but I don't think it is made to take harsh winters. This time, I will bring it inside for the winter, as I only use it to see the time while I'm in the swimming pool. I would not say it is a well made clock, but it suits my purpose. I'm hoping it will last a little longer this time by bringing it inside during the winter. Like they say, 'You get what you pay for' and this clock is fairly inexpensive. If it stops working again, after such a short time, I will not buy again.
Office Quarters stood behind this clock when it broke
May 26, 2012
This clock lasted 10 months before the minute hand lost its grip on the center knob and began to flop, causing the second hand and hour hand to freeze. When I advised the seller, Office Quarters, they instructed me to mail it back for their inspection, which I did. They have since shipped me a new clock and reimbursed me for the shipping costs. So Office Quarters stands behind the products they sell. The replacement clock looks very good and is working fine.

I understand that this is an inexpensive clock and I should not expect much, but it is noisy. I bought it because a previous reviewer write that it did not make any noise.
Died after 14 months
June 22, 2016
The clock worked fine until last week, when it started locking up. It behaved like a bad battery, but replacing the battery (twice) didn't fix it. I'm guessing one of the gears wore out.
Don't waste your money...50% failure with 4 of these clocks.
May 12, 2015
Two of the 4 clocks I order less than 2 months ago have stopped working. We have tried a different brand of battery - no luck. I guess you get what you pay for with this item. I love the size of the face, the style of the font and I don't need my glasses on to look over my shoulder in bed and see what time it is...or what time the clock stopped. It does have a very loud tick - but it doesn't bother us that much.
Glitchy
May 8, 2015
The hands on the clock stick sometimes, so you can never be sure if the time is actually accurate, which is the whole purpose of having a clock. If you manually reset it and make sure the hands aren't stuck, it will work, but only for an indeterminate amount of time. The design is nice, but the product just doesn't work well enough to be practical.
Hit or miss on quality
May 4, 2015
I bought three of these for our office, two of them work fine. One doesn't. Tried replacing the battery. Didn't help. It's been 45 days so I can't return it. Very disappointed. Don't really see why the return policy is so short - it's not like I can damage it. It's just defective. I'll order a new one and get a higher quality clock.
Looks good..
April 4, 2015
Looks good... easy to set up. BUT BUT BUT... clock runs on kitchen wall just fine for about 24-72 hours.... then stops (second hand makes visible half clicks as if trying to advance but never actually advances) This can be fixed in about 10 seconds just by removing and then reinserting the AA battery and resetting the clock and rehanging it on the wall. It then runs perfectly again.... until it stops about 30 or 40 hours later. Clock is inexpensive (< $10 as I recall) so perfection perhaps not expected. But if need to reset say every 3rd day => that would come to about 10 resets per month or 120 resets per year). For an expensive but defective item could perhaps return and negotiate getting a replacement. But in this case the time spent so doing and the cost of packing and shipping would be more than the cost of the clock. A bit disappointing and discouraging.

Had one that lasted a year. The next one, and the one after that, each lasted 6 weeks before the hour hand "disconnected" from the mechanism and didn't work. Too bad, since it's a good price for a clock designed for indoor and outdoor.

June 25, 2017
It blew off the wall and now the minute hand will not advance past the hour hand. Used it for 3 weeks. The face did not shatter, but it is no longer usable. I would expect an outdoor clock to be more durable.
You Get What You Pay For
May 22, 2017
Lasted about 6 months. The hub that the minute and hour hands grip deteriorated letting go of both of them.
Is this clock really fit for outdoor use?
July 5, 2016
This product's description said that it could be used as an outdoor clock. We bought it and hung it on the outside wall of our house for view on our patio. After less than a year of use, the clock's second hand got stuck, causing the clock to not keep time (we tried changing batteries, but to no avail) when the clock was in a vertical position... it works when horizontal, but that obviously does us little good.
Not good for outdoors.
June 21, 2016
This clock was purchased for our patio, as it was advertised as indoor/outdoor. It kept time for no more than 2 days, and has not worked since. I have changed batteries, hoping that there was a slight issue with that, but to no avail. Still no go. Disappointed!

March 22, 2016
I bought 2 of these. The first one lasted the summer - well, most of it. Then gravity took over and the time was always 6:30! I had to track down the manufactuer, and they sent me a new one. This time it only lasted a matter of weeks. A common problem but sick of dealing with it.

Very poor quality
February 16, 2017
This clock only lasted me two years and now I have to get another. I guessy you get what you pay for. The clock tick tock's but the minute and hour hands stoped and does not advance even though the clock is running. I tried a new battery and no luck. I'm throwing this one out and will read the reviews more closely on the next item I buy. It's worth spending an extra five or 10 bucks for something better that will last.
I hope it's just a fluke, but......
December 9, 2016
I had this same-brand clock for almost 30 years before it gave out----that's why I bought it again----------but I wasn't so lucky this time. After a little while, I noticed it was losing time.....about a half hour behind my other clocks, even though I had put new batteries in it. So I tried another new battery. Same thing..... after awhile, I noticed a significant loss of time. So I tried a third new battery. Same result. I give up. Going to Wal-Mart to buy the $4 black-and-white clock I saw about a week after buying this one.
Nicely Legible, BUT DOESN'T WORK.
July 16, 2016
We were pleased with the legibility and simplicity of this clock. Unfortunately, it ceased functioning, entirely, at the end of the first year. We thought it was batteries and replaced them with new ones. It still didn't work. We tried another set of new batteries. It worked for two days and quit. Now it won't work at all. On the wall, the hand doesn't move. When laid flat, it twitches a little bit.The previous clock we owned lasted for 23 years. This is hopeless. DO NOT BUY ADVANCE CLOCK mechanisms.
Don't but this clock

I should have paid attention to the many one star reviews on this clock before I bought one, but I let cheap price over load my commonsense. I put this clock in my barn and only looked at it every several days. It was always slow by 15 minutes to 2 hours. When I finally realized that I was always resetting it and that it was a defective clock like so many others in the reviews, my 30 day return policy from Amazon had passed. I put it in the trash and marked up one for the Chinese junk dealers.
Sloppy Seconds

Got this thing - it's so cheaply made I can't believe they charge 13.00 for it. Also the INSIDE plastic face is all SCRATCHED and dirty. So this sucker was returned before for the exact same reason. Looks like they accepted it back and then shipped it right out to me. Fine. I am not going to go through the big fat hassle of returning a .30 piece of garbage to get a 13.00 credit - I will just hang it up on the wall and tell everyone the story behind it. And leave this review. Bam - $ 13.00 of entertainment for months to come (when it finally breaks).Never again - ADVANCE can just RETREAT back to the cave on this model. It stinks like skunk.

Don't buy, broke in less than 3 months!
September 20, 2017
I bought this clock on June 27 and in less than three months it was stopped working. The clock was never moved, it hind on a wall and the hour hand just fell loose; the clock runs but the hour hand never moving, the minute hands moved but hour hand does not.
Falls apart quickly

I loved this clock at first, but after less than one year both the hour and minute hands became loose and do not move (so the clock is permanently set to 6:30).
It's always 6:30

We have used this clock in our swimming pool area for just over a month and the hour and minute hands are hanging at 6. I have it on the south fence in the west corner so it stay out of direct sunlight, but it still broke.
doesn't keep accurate time
January 2, 2017
I've had this clock for over a year and at some point started noticing that its running slow - within a week it's about 5 min behind, so I have to keep re-setting it. I've changed the battery and have a battery tester, so I know it's not that. I know it's cheap but if it can't really keep time what's the point?
Junk from China

Typical Chinese construction. Kept time for a while up to Nov 5th when standard time takes place. I then attempted to adjust the hour hand but with no luck at all. Endless rotation of the time adjust wheel resulted in no movement of the hour hand. The control box on the back is assembled with snap brackets. I inadvertently opened the box and all the gears fell out. Out of curiosity I dismantled the front and noticed that the hour hand had lost its grip with the hour shaft from the gear box. There was no way to reassemble it. Instead, I pitched it into the trash.
Not Good...

Bought this at the beginning of the summer to use at an elementary school. Face was totally scratched up when I opened it but I figured that since it would be up high on a wall it would be ok. Couldn't get into the school to hang it until school opened back up in late August. When I did and put a battery in it, it worked for about 5 seconds and then stopped. I do have to say that when I emailed Amazon they took care of me very quickly even though I was past the return period. Thank you Amazon! Hoping the next one works better!
