I soon realized that my love for tea had outgrown the single cups of tea ...
July 7, 2017
I started drinking strong English tea a few months ago. I used to be an avid coffee drinker, but suddenly lost my taste for it. Anyway, I soon realized that my love for tea had outgrown the single cups of tea I was brewing, so I had to step it up with a teapot. This teapot has proven to be exactly what I needed. I use it at least once a day to brew my morning tea. I don't have a tea cozey, but this pot keeps tea warms for quite awhile. Plus, it's easy to clean and the color is beautiful. I have noticed that sometimes it drips if I pour it at the wrong angle. Just keep that in mind. Overall, very happy with this purchase.
Adorable! I love it
March 1, 2016
Adorable! I love it, and the shade of Blue is perfect, it is very close to how it appears online. It really does keep the water warm for a long time, but the pot itself is comfortable to hold. I heated water up last night, because I couldn't wait, but then got distracted by other things that needed to be done, it was a couple of hours before I got back to it. When I got to it, the Water was still very warm, I warmed it a little more before I made my tea, but if I had already made the tea it would have been at a perfect temperature for drinking. I am very happy with it and am considering buying one as a gift for a friend who also likes to drink a lot of tea.
Great teacup
February 9, 2016
I love the color and the size is perfect for sharing cups with my family. It is a bit big for one person, the tea is pretty cool by the last cup, but I think a cozy will help with that. I have had problems with dripping, but I rub a tiny bit of butter to the underside of the spout and there are no drips. Overall, I'm really pleased with this teacup.
Very happy with it
March 29, 2014
I haven't owned a tea pot before so I am comparing it with not having one. I'm really glad I got it. I like the shape and color of it and it was carefully packaged to arrive safely. I don't think it's very drop proof. The lid on top is designed to stay in place while pouring and while this is likely a standard feature for teapots since forever I liked it. The tea stays hot for a good while and I just stick a teabag in and two or two and half cups for one bag. So my tea goes further than if I were making just one cup per se. And I feel less ghetto serving tea to guests.
Large capacity, easy to hold, nearly dripless
January 23, 2014
I drink a LOT of tea -- every morning I dump a Pur pitcher of filtered water into the kettle and make tea -- about 40 ounces. My old teapot had a hairline crack, so it was just a matter of time. I ordered this one because it looked good, and one of the reviews said it held 48 ounces. When it arrived, I thought "it's too small", but I poured in 6 cups (48 ounces) and it did not overflow, so that capacity is right. (BTW, it was well packaged inside sturdy cardboard, with bubble wrap separating lid from pot.)Even when almost full, it's comfortable and well balanced in the hand. I don't feel like it's going to slip if just held by the handle, as with some other pots I've had. A nice bonus is that there is a lot less dripping from the spout than I'm used to. I won't say it's completely dripless, but maybe a drop or two at most. If I pay attention to what I'm doing, that last drop goes inside the edge of the teacup. It holds the heat as well as you would expect -- the tea is still plenty hot after half an hour. But I tend to drink my almost-a-quart-and-a-half over a couple of hours, so I find a tea cosy is a good idea. All in all, very happy with this pot, and thinking of buying a second one just to keep in reserve. (I'm Mr. Clumsy, and I break things.)
It's great :)
March 9, 2012
I love this teapot! I love tea, but I must admit I got this teapot primarily so that it could sit and look cute on my stove. It does that very well. :) I agree that the color is slightly darker in reality, probably simply because the photo is more brightly lit. I like the color, though, it fits my kitchen's color scheme perfectly. As for how it works, it's great. I didn't totally fill it (maybe 2/3) but it easily makes at least 4 large mugs of tea. If you pour it really slowly, it does dribble a bit, but I didn't notice it as a problem in general. The handle does get warm when the pot is hot, but it wasn't so hot that I needed a potholder. Overall, it's a great size, shape, weight, and design.Update: this teapot cracked a few months after I wrote this when I set it down too hard on our counter. I kept it for awhile as a decorative piece (on the side where the crack was not visible) but it was no longer usable. :(

for tea and coffee
September 1, 2017
Works great, I use it to make tea and coffee. I have had it awhile now and it is holding up great. It is also pretty easy to clean. I would recommend this to anyone that loves tea. There is no point in buying the expensive Teavana tea maker when you can just buy these for a few dollars.
Useful for loose tea.
October 7, 2016
Now I can use that loose tea that comes in so many flavors. This cuts down on cabinet space because you do not need to store all of those boxes of tea bags.... Now I can buy a canister of tea which takes up much less space.
GREAT PRODUCT!!! Highly recommend
June 25, 2016
Shipping was fast!! I have to say seeing the baetea and flat tummy tea I was questioning if the stuff actually works. But it does and the taste is something to get use to but it's not to bad. I have been drinking the tea for 4 days now and I workout 3 days a week I must say that it gives me energy and it's helping me lose the weight in my mid section. I am very very happy with this product I have been trying to flatten my tummy for a year now and I wanted to try something different, I am glad I choose baetea and I will continue to use it!!! I really recommend this tea and don't worry it doesn't make you go to the bathroom like crazy like some other teas do lol.
Very nice actually
November 22, 2015
I don't really know why so many people are complaining...Mine came in a nice package, the metal toggle is pretty strong, and the metal pin is well, what it is supposed to be and is much thicker than some I have owned. It's more sturdy than the one you will pay 5.99 for at the grocery store that is for sure.I have a few versions of tea infusers and strainers, I don't use any of them in a mug or cup that I drink out of. I always use a 3 cup ceramic pot for shorter sessions and a full pot for long days at the drafting table. I also do not leave these stewing in the tea after the appropriate time has passed. When I clean them, which is right after use, I dry it and I never toss them in a dishwasher. I bought this one just to have for my thick bark like teas. I never use mesh for fine teas that most people are used to in teabags, I just use a reusable baggy or a large loose leaf paper bag that hooks onto a funnel (best lazy loader ever XD)Yes it is made in China but not everything from China is crap, there are legit manufacturers there >.> Sometimes you play roulette, sometimes you get a good deal. I don't expect an add-on to be something mega awesome fabulous that my grandchildren would use. :P
Lasts for years!
July 8, 2015
This tea ball is awesome for brewing loose tea. I actually bought my first tea ball by this company three years ago and only had to buy a new one very recently because my daily use of it eventually loosened the clamp. For less than $5, I'd say lasting three years is pretty good! The reason I came back to this tea ball rather than just purchasing one at the grocery store is the metal mesh. No matter what the size of your tea leaves, you can steep your tea without any fear of small pieces of your leaves escaping into your tea. Your tea will come out tasting just the way it should: pure and delicious! The hook at the end of the chain is really nifty as well, as its flexibility allows you to hook it onto the edge of any mug without you needing to worry about having to rescue your tea ball with a spoon. It'll stay perfectly in place until it's steeped long enough and then you're ready to go.This product is great for the price. If you're looking for a tea ball, I'd definitely go with this one.
works great, but avoid the 3rd party sellers
November 14, 2014
This product is getting a lot of negative reviews, but I wonder if everyone is reviewing the exact same product. I bought mine directly from Amazon for $2.79, not one of the 3rd party China vendors that sell these for $1. The product arrived in a Prepworks-labeled plastic blister-pack. I have used it numerous times over the past month and it still looks great, with no stains or rust.I also bought a similar looking $1 product from a 3rd party seller. It looks somewhat similar, but the construction quality is noticeably worse. The clasp doesn't line up as well or grip as well. The mesh is wider, so you cannot use it with finely ground teas. This one rusted after I first washed it, before using it for any tea.

A Great Teapot!
May 14, 2017
This is the perfect teapot. It's sturdy and holds a full 6 cups. I especially like that there is a lip on the end of the pouring spout that helps prevent drips. It keeps my tea hot for a long time, too. This was a great purchase!
Great value for a china teapot!
March 22, 2017
This teapot is perfect for afternoon tea. It is heavy and large enough for 6 cups. The glaze is nice and the shape is just right. But, the value is really excellent.
Love it!
February 27, 2017
Although it arrived with another teapot, this one was broken. I received a prompt refund and immediately ordered another one! Hopefully safer shipping this time! It is very cute and I look forward to using it in a couple weeks at an event!

Awesome Teapot
March 24, 2013
This is a wonderful teapot for those who want to brew several cups of tea at once. It pours nicely, no spilling and is dishwasher safe. I would recommend without reservation.
Great Large Capacity Teapot
March 5, 2012
I'm English by birth and very fussy about teapots. My chief complaint about buying online is that the manufacturers do not accurately specify what the capacity of the teapot is. Too often the product info says "6 cups" and you find that means 6 X 5 oz cups, not 6 x 8 oz. cups. That said, this teapot holds a generous 48 fl. oz., the size I was looking for. The stoneware is sturdy and shiny without being clumsy and heavy. The teapot pours beautifully, the shape is very pleasing, and the price great for such a high quality product.

Lovely pot but poor spout design spills
May 20, 2017
Read the reviews, they said the spout spills a lot. Uh... I really liked the design anyway. So I did a lot of testing with it, and no matter what you do this thing is gonna spill. So I just hold beneath the spout with a cloth when I pour. If you pour properly only a drop or so will spill as you set the pot back down, making the cloth method viable. The pot keeps my tea hot for 2 friggin hours you guys. That's amazing. So I got a tea cozy for it and it keeps it hot even longer. Yey.
Nice teapot, lid design a bit flawed
November 7, 2016
First, the color of the green teapot is not the same as pictured. The picture shows a light green, and the teapot I received is a much darker grass green, which I actually like better, so it's not a complaint, but just something to be aware of. The teapot itself is nice and sturdy and holds heat well. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because of the design of the lid. I've found that, depending on how you set the lid on and the temperature of the teapot, it can actually create a seal that causes the lid to become stuck. This happened to me after I rinsed it out one day and set the lid on it to move it to another counter where I was going to set it out to dry. I then couldn't get the lid off no matter how I twisted or pulled and was afraid I was going to break it. I ended up wedging the back of a spoon under the lid to break the seal, and then it came right off.
Good big teapot
July 16, 2015
The spout is a little crooked, so you have to account for that when you're pouring the tea. It's a good teapot. I've been using it for quite a while now. You'll want to use a strainer if you're using smaller tea leaves. Pre-rinsed loose Oolong works fine without additional straining though. Makes about one quart of tea. (Not quite the six cups that is advertised, unless you fill it to the brim, which would be silly)
Granddaughter loved the tangerine color!
January 18, 2015
Bought for my granddaughter for Christmas. Fast shipping, came well packed, intact. Very cute and practical. She LOVED the color, different from any seen in the local stores. Nice size for 2 cups of tea. Can be used in microwave. I would buy again, in fact, may order one for myself! (Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't talked with her to know if any problem with it, but figured she would have told me if there was!)
Pretty, Sturdy Teapot
April 9, 2014
This is a good teapot!I took one star off because it took some practice to learn how to pour the tea without dripping. That said, I like it a lot now that I've figured it out. :) The bad reviews on this teapot are because people have mistakenly used this teapot as a teakettle. This black beauty is very sturdy, and the lid holds very securely when pouring. Black is a good color if you don't want to constantly muss with black tea stains. The handle isn't round, but flat and thick. I've found it holds about 4 monster-mugs of tea, and keeps it warm for a few hours without a cozy. I use this every day and don't regret purchasing it.
Pretty Decent Teapot
January 10, 2013
The brown version of this teapot is a bit on the dark side - more like a dark chocolate color. And it's a bit larger than my previous teapot, but it works fairly well for me. The good thing is that I can put 3 PG-Tips teabags in the pot and have 6 or 7 cups of really robust tea. And with a tea cozy wrapped around, it stays amazingly hot for hours. When the pot is full, it leaks quite a bit. Certainly more than my Sadler teapot. That being said, I'm happy with this teapot: it looks very nice and provides enough tea for the whole evening.Update 5/17/2013: Once I learned not to overfill the pot, the leaking became minimal. Funny, I didn't think of that earlier!

This is a nice tea or coffee ball but I personally think it is much too big unless you are putting it into a POT of tea.
I love a particular brand of loose leaf tea
April 22, 2016
For a $1 product, it does the job. I love a particular brand of loose leaf tea....well, actually, I like the jasmine green tea that summit makes, so it's a lot more specific than that. But anyway, I got this because it was cheap and I needed something to seep the tea in and I didn't have a lot of money to throw around (and the tea's kind of expensive). So I got this. And in the beginning, I think it worked absolutely perfectly. After a few months, some larger pieces started escaping, but I actually don't mind that. The overwhelming majority of the tea stays put and it actually has been working better, ironically, than the $10 tea strainer thing that my sister got me for Christmas...so yeah...

December 16, 2015
I am giving it 3 stars because it is what it is but I have added an extra star because the seller has proven to me to be a company that values their customer service. It is what it is, it's a mesh tea ball!! Most tea balls are over priced to begin with. This one is reasonably priced for what you get. I am giving it 3 stars because it is what it is but I have added an extra star because the seller has proven to me to be a company behind their word and you can mark me now as a satisfied customer....extra word to the buyer.... look up the word mesh so that you fully understand the product... I have read some comments where the buyer was disappointed due to the product.... there is no hidden agenda of this product description ... it's mesh and the description or definition of mesh is as follows: "mesh is a material made of a network of wire or thread". if you understand this definition then you will fully realize what you are ordering.
Bought for aromatherapy infusions
July 14, 2015
Received this a day or so ago. It shipped from China or Hong Kong. Shipping took awhile, which was fine since they were so cheap. The basket was wrapped very nicely, was alittle dented on both sides; I figured from being shipped in a bag. There is no reason the basket will not go back to the regular shape. I have not used it yet. Bought it for my aromatherapy infusions, smaller infusions. The basket looks great, the dents are no big deal to me. I am happy with this purchase and do not see why anyone else would feel otherwise.
This works pretty well. I would have given it 5 stars ...
February 27, 2015
I bought this along with a loose tea sampler for a co-worker. This works pretty well. I would have given it 5 stars but occasionally very tiny pieces of tea or herbs will weasel their way out of the ball. For this reason I cannot give it a full 5 stars. It does work but I feel it could work a little bit better.
For the Price, If you are Careful, It will last you and perform well.
February 4, 2015
I bought this to keep in my backpack for camping or.......well...backpacking. I bought this to make tea or coffee and not take up a lot of space like a coffee pot or french press would take up. I see a lot of other complaints on this item, saying it is cheeply made or some have trouble with it sealing. First of all, this is a very low cost item. It is made well enough that it will work with no problems. But......you may want to check the hinge part, and make sure it is pressed together. Now from what I have seen after making 10 cups of coffee with it, if it gets damaged, it will be from operator error. When you unlock the latch and open it up, do it easily and make sure the halves open oposing each other. Wash and rinse easily, and let it dry, then close it, latch it, and check the hinge. Just in case you need to adjust it. If you let it flop around or allow the halves to twist, or twist opposing each other, it will open up the hinge enough that it may not shut securely the next time you use it. But all you have to do is latch it, and press the hinge section back tight. Not rocket science, not hard to do, and an easy fix. You just have to be a little conscientious, and do a little preventive inspection and adjustment from time to time. But for a backpacker or camper, the low cost, space and weight savings it offers is a great trade for being a little careful with it.

Pretty and useful, perfect for a perfect cup of tea
August 27, 2017
My husband and I love to make "real" tea and this pot provides us each with a good sized mug of our favorites. My only complaint is a small chip on the inside lip of the pot, but it doesn't affect the pot's performance and doesn't appear to have compromised its structure. It's a pretty little pot, too, and retains heat nicely.
Holds lots of tea
June 5, 2017
Very nice looking. Leaks when you pour it if the pot is full. Fits under a large tea cozy to stay warm.
Nice but heavy
April 24, 2017
Teapot is well made and keeps the heat, but is rather heavy.
The size is nice and large
January 30, 2017
The size is nice and large; enough for four medium-sized cups worth. The inside is fairly difficult to clean, though. The opening is just too small to get my hand into.
Very good quality
December 26, 2016
I use this tea pot to make our every morning tea. We like it and it works very well for us. The only thing is it drips a little bit when pouring the tea. The quality of the ceramic is very good and durable.
Great Except for Dripping
December 20, 2016
It's a nice sturdy teapot, however, the spout of mine drips more than I would prefer. It doesn't stain, and the lid stays on nicely, it also will keep tea hot for a good amount of time, so it would be perfect if it didn't drip.

May 24, 2016
ITs really large and thats great. But just so you know that means its kinda heavy when its full, and leaks a LOT out of the top. I have to use 4 teabags in it which is fine, except that there is no 'catcher" area for the tea bags, so they block the spout, which is how it ends up leaking from the top. a little disappointed.
Fragile

I really liked this at first, but then I barely touched it against another glass and it broke.... it is extremely fragile.
It's a nice teapot for the price
December 7, 2015
The color of this teapot if quite different then the picture, olive or army green is what I would say rather than chartreuse. It's a nice teapot for the price, and I'm keeping it as color was not the driver for my purchase.
like other people have said
September 3, 2015
It's a lovely pot (though the green is slightly different, more of a kelly green). Definitely holds enough tea for my mornings. However, like other people have said, this tea pot *drips*. I didn't really believe the other reviews, or thought they meant a little dribble, but no, it *really drips*. I have to pour over a designated plate or sink in order not to stain tables and counters everywhere. So definitely be aware of that.
Not horrible, but not stellar.
July 19, 2015
Well, overall it's fine. It does hold 6 cups, but that measures to the lip just under the lid leaving no room for bags or leaves. Enough tea for 4. It does drip down the spout when pouring making a mess on your counter or tray. Best to hold a cloth or tea towel under the spout to catch the drips. Stays warm a decent amount of time when preheated without a cosy. Nice color and large sturdy handle. Overall it's ok, but it won't be the last pot I'll ever buy.
3" tea ball infused doesn't fit
April 16, 2015
I love my old "Brown Betty" style teapot, so when I needed a second one for a second home, I found this similar one on Amazon. I love the color choices, I got the red one, which is very attractive.I had to take 2 stars off for one very important reason - I haven't been able to make tea in it yet. The top opening is smaller than a standard teapot of this size, plus, it is an odd D shape hole, I guess to keep the lid from being able to turn, although I can't imagine why it would matter. As a result, a standard pot-size (3") mesh tea ball will not fit in the pot. I have had to search around and special order a cylinder shaped infused. Hope it fits. In the meantime, I guess the 3 stars are for the pot looking pretty sitting in my kitchen.

Works well but poor quality
October 30, 2016
I purchased mine from a third party vendor that took a while to ship. I am still using mine after a few years. It has lasted well without rusting. But, the quality is poor. The clasp does not line up well. So, it is difficult to close and clasp. The mesh is a little too wide and lets some of the smaller tea leaves out. And the hook on the end of the chain does not hook onto any mug. So, I have always have to loop mine around the handle and hook onto the chain. So, I cannot use it for travel mugs with no handle. Overall it works for me. But, is not a good quality for someone who drinks tea daily.
Meh, seems poorly made.
September 15, 2016
I have had this tea ball for a little over a year, and I feel like it hasn't held up as expected. Namely, the hinge keeps loosening, so the contents of the strainer leak out into your beverage. I had one like this before that I lost and it was great, but this one hasn't lived up to the reputation of its predecessor. I usually use this for tea, but also to infuse flavors into jellies, sauces and other things. I wouldn't buy this again, however.

In fact the useful portion which is meant to be filled with tea ...
December 9, 2014
Actually, this product is not as described and it is less than described. The description states it to be 2 inches in diameter. In fact the useful portion which is meant to be filled with tea is only 1 and 1/4 inches in diameter, which means it will hold much less than half the tea that a 2 inch ball will hold. That is a significantly false description which deceives as to the usefulness of the product. Having said that I will also say that the quality of construction is adequate and the seller's price is reasonable. For that reason I will keep it and continue looking for a 2 inch or larger tea ball to purchase for my tea pot.
Good for single cup of tea
July 23, 2014
This tea ball is best suited for a single cup of tea. The stainless steel construction means that it's durable and easy to clean. The latch is secure and has not loosened with almost a year of use now. The mesh has also stayed in good shape with no fraying or discoloration. The chain is the perfect length for a large mug, but a bit long for a traditional teacup. The hook at the end of the chain is great for placing on the side of the mug for easy retrieval. I did try to make a pot of tea once using this mesh ball and I regretted it for two reasons: 1) The ball is not quite big enough to give you enough tea for more than, at most, two cups. So the tea was very weak. 2) The chain is not at all long enough for a tea pot and it just kind of floated at the top, making it difficult to brew.
Is it actually stainless steel?
June 11, 2014
This item was advertised on Amazon as stainless steel. However, nowhere on the package does it say what material it is. I only have the list title on Amazon's word to go by. Given that the product was manufactured in China, which has a certain reputation for product materials not being as advertised, this gave me pause. I will still use it, at least until I get a better one, but I would have liked to feel a little more certain that the product I received was as advertised.

November 7, 2016
I bought this and use it daily at work. It has a nice lid design that keeps the lid from falling out or rotating. My one gripe is that the spout lets water run down the spout after I finish pouring - when I'm tilting the teapot back up. I don't yet know if this is because of poor tea pouring technique or poor spout design...

This is the dribbliest teapot I've ever used. The handle is flat and wide, which I thought would be good, but I've been using it for a while and my right thumb joint is feeling arthritic. Even using a washcloth to hold it with, it still spills tea everywhere. It's good quality but poor design. I'm sticking with my Fiesta Ware; it keeps the tea warm longer and is easier to handle.
flawed finish
February 18, 2017
Teapot would be lovely if not for a few flaws in the glazing: one is a large dimple in the handle and the other is a sharp barb on the bottom that snagged my tablecloth and scratched my countertop. The barb I can file down but the dimple will have to remain as is.
Solid pot, but streams down the spout when pouring
February 6, 2017
It is a large, inexpensive, solid teapot;however, dribbling from the spout makes it difficult to use. When pouring, there is a steady stream running down the pot, regardless of angle. Hopefully just a dud, but I think I'm going to look for a replacement. Even when pouring the entire contents at once into an ice tea pitcher, I need 3 paper towels to clean up the mess and have wound up burning my hand on hot tea twice.
Shame About the Drips
January 28, 2017
This is a really nice teapot, BUT within two days of using it, it started dripping from where the spout connects to the teapot. Can't see any damage, so obviously a manufacturing flaw. Too much trouble to send back, so we put up with the drips.

The teapot itself is fine but it isn't this pretty apple green color that is pictured. It is a few shades darker and a very plain looking green.

Poorly put together. Tilted to one side and to the front. I had to return it!

Definitely not worth the price
September 29, 2016
My primary impression of this tea ball, upon opening the package, is that it felt extremely flimsy and cheaply made, something I might want to think twice before using to infuse a liquid I was about to ingest- but I was a busy student and I needed my tea fix. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the ball didn't fall apart immediately upon first use, nor second, nor third, and so on. While it did sustain some dents, they did not have any impact on the function of the product. Shortly after (a month or so?) the hinges on the ball began to adjust and I began finding far more leaves in my tea than I would have preferred, due to the fact that a sizeable gap between the two sides of the ball had begun to open up. It was time to toss this one in the trash and move on. I feel that $5 is far more than this is worth.Note: I noticed many other reviewers speaking about the length of the chain and the size of the hook, I was using the ball in a regular-sized coffee mug with edges that weren't terribly thick, so this wasn't much of an issue for me. There were, however a few instances where I attempted to use the ball on a thicker mug, and had to resort to wrapping the chain around the mug handle and hooking it through itself.
LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING
June 9, 2016
I purchased this because it looked to have a very fine mesh screen to keep ALL of my loose leaf tea inside. In fact, the screen is fine but the tea comes out between the two round frames that the screen attaches to. This defeats the whole purpose in using this. MAJOR DESIGN FLAW!!!!
eh
June 24, 2014
I wouldn't buy again. it is discoloring to a point I wonder if this thing has all kinds stuff in the metal that shouldn't beoh and the latch sometimes comes open and my tea spills out--yeah wont be using for much longer
you get what you pay for.
April 10, 2014
First, it took FOREVER to receive(it comes from China). It is a cheaply made item, if you are looking for quality for price, this is not it. Plus it was smashed in on one side when received. It does not affect the brew, so not a big deal. The sides do not close close together securely so there was a lot of release of the small particles from my tea leaves which I then have to try to fish out. The mesh is slightly discolored to a black color (upon arrival) and left a tinge of metallic taste in my tea the first few times. Will search for a higher (priced) quality item.
bad
October 11, 2013
Doesn't close all the way so when you put it in water all the leafs get out. wish i would have spent the few extra bucks to get a better quilt y one.
Pay as little as you can for this
January 12, 2012
The product is one of 10's of designs of getting tea from tea leaves or chopped leaves.I say pay the least because I see it sold about 8 times by various vendors from prices of $2.50 (about)delivered price to over $5.00 or more. But after I used it for a few times I felt it wasn't worth $2.50delivered price. The reasons are these:1. the clasp that holds it shut has several problems.a. it won't close if the 2 parts of the ball aren't perfectly lined up and it doesn't help in lining them up.b. if there's any tea near the clasp it won't shutc. if the wire (1) is in the way the clasp won't shut(1) the wire is supposed to be a way to remove the ball but it doesn't really work.a. Because although it has a hook it won't stay on the side of the mug unless you're using fine thin chinaplan on fishing it out with a spoon or fork.PROS - It is all stainless steel except for the rivet on the wire. I'm a bit surprised but there ya go.CON - if you heat / reheat / add heat with the ball in the water that's ok but the wire will becomered hot and you'll remember if you touch it.(note that the only reason not to heat metal in a microwave is when there's no other material like waterto absorb the waves of energy. However if the dimensions are small enough (like the links on the wirethey will absorb microwaves and the wire gets hot)Here's ways you can do the same for less money or better.make your own using a funnel and nylon stocking. when you pour out tea through the stocking the teawill be caught and the funnel makes sure it's into the cup. Price = free (about)I'm just saying this is barely a working product. Beware.Last point. If the clasp breaks there's no way to hold the 2 halves shut and thus it's lost. The claspis held very tightly by the rivet and from my background in sciences that work with metals it seemslike about 50 uses and I can expect that rivet to simply break. I may be able to fix it. Most willthrow it away and waste $3.00 (about). Why ever waste money?

Does not keep contents warm!

Although elegantly designed, the teapot does not keep the contents warm for more than a few minutes.

I ignored the reviews that said it leaked when you pour. Don't. It drips!! Nice looking, good size but it leaks.

It's a teapot. It did it's job. But... It's a huge pain in the **** to clean. Man... It's really annoying to clean. Can't stress that enough. I wouldn't get it.
Drips as you pour. Otherwise a great teapot.
December 12, 2016
It drips as you pour. This makes it useful only in the kitchen on the counter with a towel nearby. Otherwise it's great. It holds a lot and feels solid. The price is good. If it didn't drip, I would give it 5 stars. I'm on the hunt for a better one. I'm going to check some resale shops first before ordering online. This teapot replaced one I broke a couple of days earlier. If anyone has a clue about how to fix the drip, please put it in the comments.
Dribbling Nightmare
October 31, 2013
I broke my beloved teapot, and bought this model as a replacement because it looked like the one I broke. It is made well and looks well, but there is no way to pour tea without gaining a puddle. I've tried tipping it into a mug, pouring it from a height, pouring it fast, pouring it slow, and nothing works. Either I'm an idiot or this is a poor design.

Nice looking teapot - But
December 12, 2016
looks very nice, perfect size for small gathering. I took a star off for the color, it's not light blue, it's pretty dark, looks much nicer in the picture online.Update - after using it a couple of times, pouring tea always drips from the spout and creates a mess. I thought I was pouring fast but no matter how I pour it leaks. Another land fill product.

August 25, 2016
The teapot arrived with its handle broken into two pieces. While I understand that this sort of thing happens, what was peculiar about this is that the box that it came in was free of any imperfections or damage. Honestly, I really think whoever was packaging this particular teapot broke the handle and decided to ship it anyway. The two broken pieces weren't even near where they were supposed to have broken off from; someone had deliberately placed them on the opposite side of the box near the spout.I definitely won't be ordering anything from R.S.V.P. again. The teapot seemed flimsy anyway.
RSVP needs to package this item better. There is really no protection from shipping damage

RSVP needs to package this item better. There is really no protection from shipping damage. My teapot arrived shattered, I knew before I opened the shipping box it was damaged as I could hear the pieces clanking around in the box. You would think they wouldn't want this to happen and have to deal with all the returns. It's a cute teapot but I won't reorder since I'm sure the new one will arrive broken too.
Came broken

Beautiful Teapot. The lid came broken, emailed amazon and the company. No response, no replacement lid. Very unhappy. Tea pot itself is lovely, perfect size, but it's hard to keep in heat without the lid.
Drips, Doesn't Pour Properly
October 22, 2015
Spout drips with every pour. As mentioned in 2-cup version, this is another poor quality product - made in CHINA! Spout needs to be higher than the pot in order to assure drip-less pouring. This pot results in drippage after each pour...

Leaky Tea Infuser
February 23, 2015
This tea infuser is a disaster. It's basically a sphere divided into two halves and held together with a hinge and a clamp. The clamp is the problem. The clamp has a hinge of its own, and that hinge has a rivet going through it, and the rivet has a head. That rivet head keeps the two haves of the sphere from coming together tightly. So when you put the sphere into the hot water, tea leaves start spewing out one side of the sphere. Disgusting! There's no point in returning it. It's a $4 item, and the postage to return it would be greater than that. Live and Learn!
Waste of money
January 27, 2015
It's good this tea infuser was under $2.00. It was shipped from China and arrived in a tiny envelope with some padding. I can't adequately describe it, so I'm including a photo. The "ball" was smashed and the metal was dark and discolored. A perfect example of "you get what you pay for." I'm not even going to bother sending it back.
Go to the store and buy one.
March 13, 2014
Don't waste your time on this item. The holes are too big and let's out normal size loose tea!! And the clasp is complicated and too cumbersome. Don't bother with this. It looks great in theory but in reality, zip!
Crap
March 12, 2014
Used it once and was pleased with it, although the chain is too short for large mugs and if the mug wall is thick it wont clip on so you have to loop it around the handle then hook it to the chain which reduces the depth at which it will float in your tea....Second use? Came apart in my hands - the hinge where the two halves lock together is just crimped metal, no bolt or welds - completely un-fixable. Sent back the very next day.
Don't waste your time.
March 12, 2014
This may be cheap, but unless you have very large tea leaves, the mesh screen is far too large and most of the tea leaves end up in your tea. Also, shipping took over a month for me, made me think I wasn't going to get it.
Rusted after one use
August 7, 2013
I think the title says it all - received the product, looked a little flimsy but it worked. then i used it, washed it by hand, and the next time I went to use it the thing was covered in rust

Broken twice.
October 25, 2016
Nice looking pot, feels good, but one star for the lack of packaging. First one the handle on the lid was broken off. 2nd one had a very large crack from the spout to the handle. Very poor packaging both times. Wish it had worked for me, but fool me once, etc.

Item broken on delivery. Spout was off at the base. Cut my finger on it too. So instead of sipping tea I've wasted a half hour trying to get my printer to print the return label, dropping the thing off, and bandaging my finger.
