They should call this a wide calf boot. I love the style very much and enjoy it, but my legs look kind of funny in them. The top is very wide and when walking it looks like my leg is the inside of a bell. However, the shoe is amazing for comfort. After all if someone is wearing boots they need it to be comfortable. I bought it in wide shoe size and it was true to size (probably a little more room than expected around the foot, but with thick boot socks it will be very good). Many boots rub the top of my foot and that didn't happen at all. I am so excited for my first pair of boots. I tried on 30 in the store and didn't find one that wasn't rubbing on some part of my foot. This shoe is amazing, just wish the top didn't get wider at the top.

I have a narrow foot that usually takes a size 8 in regular footwear since I had a kid 12 years ago. (I was a solid size 7 before). I ordered a 7.5 and the boots fit me well with plenty of toe room. They're well cushioned. There is a strong reinforcement a bit above the ankle that can be painful at first but after three days of 5 hours of wear it's softened up a lot. Really wide feet might not fit very well. Or might need to endure a longer break-in period. I have long narrow feet and medium toes. My daughter has long toes and can wear this.The leather is gorgeous and the turquoise colored lining is beautiful and appears durable. So far I've worn the boots every day in the week that I've had them.Shipping was fast with the overnight delivery option. I needed these for a party and wanted to give myself time for an exchange if they didn't fit.They also appear to be very functional as well as beautiful. Lol--the label specifies they are manure resistant. Good feature to have. They're comfortable enough to work in.

I love these boots and I am very happy with my purchase. The reviews that I read are true - they do run slightly bigger. I am a true size 9 and I ordered size 9 because I wanted them to be slightly bigger to make sure I had room for thick socks, and they are perfect. If I had ordered even a half size smaller, I think they would have been too small.They look amazing and I have received a ton of compliments on them.Highly recommend!

These are a true Cowgirls Boot. This is an authentic boot for riding on the ranch. You can dress this boot up with some super straight jeans n a glam belt or add your favorite plaid n get up n brush the horses. I love ,, love,,, love my new Ariat boots. Boots are fantastic! They are very beautiful and the quality is great. I am normally a 8.5 in boots, but bought an 8 per other reviews stating it runs big. It ended up being perfect length-wise. It is a bit more narrow than I would like, especially if wearing boot socks - but I have wider feet. I expect that over time the boot will soften and it will go from being just-a-bit-too-snug to perfect. Would buy again!

My first pair of cowboy boots! I put off purchasing them bc they are expensive, and I can't find them on the East Coast where I live. But I finally broke down and I couldn't be happier. They are so beautiful, and so comfortable! When I first put them on, they were snug at the widest part of my foot. But I walked around the house with them for an hour and they loosened right up. Now they fit perfectly. They will look cute with everything! I was trying them on with everything in my closet while my daughter rolled her eyes. There is good arch support (I'm over 50 and my feet have issues) and I like that the sole is stiff and doesn't bend when I walk. A+++

So happy I listened to the reviews and ordered a full size larger than I normally wear! I have high arches and had a hard time getting my feet in them the first time I tried them on. After a few wears, they fit like a dream. They’re of average quality for the (cheap) price but they sure are cute. Four stars instead of five because if I hadn’t read the reviews, I would have had to return. They are not true to size.

Mine fit the right foot, but not the left. I need to return and replace, but I lose 20% plus s/h. The other 2 pair fitmy girls great and they love them. We got them for a wedding.

I bought the cinnamon. The color is nice, it is not shiny like the other choices and it's well-made. I wear a 7 1/2 B or AA width and have a high arch I had no problem putting it on despite my high arch. It was large and wide and I have to wear it with heavy sox. Ive learned from experience than when a fit is too wide, going down a half size doesn't work. The boot looks inexpensive and not like leather. For my purposes it's ok. A good, leather boot is very pricey and this one was within my budget. If I had tried it in a store I would not have bought it due to the wide fit. That's the down side of on line buying. I'd recommend it for someone with a width closer to wide and someone who is ok with the inexpensive look.

very cute but sizing ran small was hopeful they were going to fit as regular sizing and many said the did but had to return and go up a size. quality was great for price.

They are pretty comfortable, I do country line dancing and they hold up well!

I loved these boots. They looked amazing and I was really excited to receive them but unfortunately they were too small around my calf. The shoe part itself fit but the shaft bunched up and I couldn't pull it up all the way. But good news my mom really liked them so she kept them and they look great on her :)

Just got my boots! Like people said in most of the reviews you do want to go a half size smaller than what you normally wear. I'm a 7.5 and I ordered a 7. The fit is a little tight at first but will stretch as you wear them. I ordered the distressed brown color and as you can see the actual color is a tad darker than the advertised picture. Overall I am pleased.

Had to return as it was a gift for my granddaughter. I thought she needed the C width (which is hard to find),but once received . . . I blindfolded my granddaughter and tried the boots on her and they were in fact tooroomy. Nice boot though. Did find them elsewhere in the right size, for a decent price, . . so granddaughterDOES gets new Ariat cowboy boots for Christmas.

Good, comfy boot. Needed to replace my Ariats I have worn since 2008. Just gotta break them in a bit more but otherwise a good fit. I usually wear size 7 but in this boot I always get a 6.5.

This is an attractive boot, with seemingly quality workmanship. I did try them on and walk around comfortably but I couldn't test them out in the long run, as they were too big and I unfortunately had to send them back. I usually wear a woman US size 5/euro 35 in heels and 5 or 5.5 in flats, depending on how the shoe runs. Even with just a half size difference, this one was quite long and also quite roomy on top and sides. If you have a smaller foot, try sizing down, you may be happier.In the return process, the company was quick and wonderful, so no pain there!

I'm giving these boots 4 stars but would have given them 5 if the boots had fit! Against my better judgement I bought a 1/2 size down because of all of the reviews I'd read about these boots being too big. I have another pair of Ariats, the Fatbaby style, and wear an 8.5 no problem (usual shoe size is 9). Ariat makes beautiful boots so I was especially bummed out! The first order I placed for these boots somehow got sent back to Amazon before I even received them; I think the package got damaged in transit.Amazon's amazing customer service then sent me another pair right away when I placed the order again, and overnight because of the inconvenience! Imagine my disappointment when the boots had a tight fit. And back to the fit -- if you have a wider foot you might do OK with a 1/2 size down but a wide width. The boots had plenty of room in the toe but had a tight width and would be uncomfortable if you have a high instep like I do.

My fiance surprised me with these, they are of course gorgeous but a little bigger then a normal size 9 I would recommend getting them a half size smaller. He also paid for two day shipping and they didn't ship until four days, they aren't directly from Amazon but they offered a shipping refund, we will see.

Love the boots but unfortunatley they run really small. Would have been ok had I had prior knowledge, I could have just ordered a bigger size. The company is happy to to do an exchange, but unfortunately will not pay for the shipping to send back so it's an added expense on buyer

Bought for my teen niece. Nice boots for her to wear to the occasional concert. Look like cheaply made and doubt would hold up well to regular use. I did not expect to get genuine western boots for this price though so the quality is about what I expected. Not bad for the price I guess.

LOVED the boots but unfortunately I had to return them. I usually wear a size 9.5 and ordered a 9 after reading reviews. The left one fit great but I couldn't get the right boot on for the life of me!

I ordered a half size down, which would have fit okay after breaking in. The boot's a little narrow and long for my liking - guess I'm used to my Roughstocks. But the finish really decided me. The leather was all crackled where your foot bends before the toe, and not in a nice aged way. Too bad - I really did want a nice pair of red boots. :) Maybe I'll try a different style; I'm returning these.

I wear a size 7.5 to 8 depending on width. After reading the reviews on these boots it appeared they were true to size so I ordered an 8. I cannot even get this boot on my foot! What happened?? As it appears I would need to order a 9.5 just to pull them on. Very disappointed however, they are beautiful and wanted to wear them on Xmas. Has this happened to anyone else? I will be returning and most likely not order another size. The boot obviously is just not for my type of foot! ;(

I ordered these for my Daughter-in-law. She loves them.. even though,the size runs big. She wears extra pair socks sometimes. Nice looking boot. She's happy with them. wears them a lot. Would rate 5 if size didn't run big and didn't have to wear extra socks for fit

I wear size 5.5 - 6, so I got a 6. I couldn't even get my foot in. Also, the distressed brown boot picture looks like the stitching is turquoise like the inside of the boot, but it's actually hunter green. To be completely fair, the quality of the boot is excellent and the leather very soft. If the pictures were more accurate/there was a written description of the different colors, I would definitely be getting these a size up in a different color, but I'm not much of a gambler.I'm so bummed, I saved almost all of my spending money for a year to get these and was so excited to get them. I guess the hunt for the perfect boot is back on *sigh*

Wow, when they say these run large they REALLY run large. These are very nice looking boots and seem to be well made. The only problem is the sizing. If you are an 8 you better order a 7 and that may even be too large. I have never bought a riding boot that was so off in sizing. I usually have the opposite problem and they run small. All of my other Ariat boots are spot on with sizing so I do not know what the deal is here. I sent them back and will order something else.

They are okay for a synthetic boot. But if I wear them very long, my feet ache as they do not have much padding at all on the sole.

The boots are cute and comfortable but one heel is completely hollow. I can't walk on it because it just deflates. I really liked the boots so it's unfortunate

They were cute, but if you have larger calves, don't get these. I couldn't pull them up all the way. Plus, the light tan on the top of the boot blended in so much with my skin it became invisible and weird looking.

Actually it is not boots as people usually understand it. This is kind of decoration looking like boots. I must realized that for 60$ it is impossible to by normal western boots. Think they will be destroyed in the first rain. They look nice from a distance. Material they are made of seems to be more paper then textile. Unfortunately western boots are never ever on sale. :-)

these boots felt like wearing rainboots. I expected real boots and these are like wearing plastic boots. very disappointed. I have wore cowboy boots for a long time and for the price of $59 dollars I expected better quality boots. I would not recommend these boots and really want to return them back. they were also 1/2 a size too big. They look cheap and the material feels cheap. Didn't like them at all. The heels are rubber, don't care for them. I wore them a few hours and don't know if they will except them back or not.

I really loved these boots when I got them! But, I put on the left shoe, fit perfect.....attempted to put on the right and it's a half size if not a full size too small. I couldn't even get it on my foot. So I had to return them because they do not do exchanges. I am still deciding whether or not I will buy these again and hope I get the right size.

I wanted to love these, but they just didn't work for me. The shaft circumference was way too big, and they came to an awkward height. I sent them back.

I took the advice of the reviews here and ordered a half size down. I normally wear an 8, so I ordered a 7.5. I couldn't even get them on my feet! They were absolutely tiny! So small actually, that I felt like if I'd ordered my normal size, just a half size up, they still would have been too small. I don't suggest going with a smaller size. I'd say order your usual size and break them in. You'll be able to tell the difference between snug/going to stretch with wear, and too tight for comfort.

These boots are beautiful (except for the outline of the sole, which is very pronounced around the front of the foot), but they are WAY too stiff. I don't have the time/energy to break them in and I can't plan my day around the pain they'll cause. These will go back.

A friend at work had these boots and I loved them, so ordered some for myself. She said they were really comfortable, but I couldn't even get my foot in them because they are so narrow across the top of my foot. I was so disappointed because they are fab, but way too small. I usually wear a size 9 and although my feet are somewhat wide, I never have to buy wide width shoes. These were just the wrong cut for my feet. Bummed! I also ordered two pair by accident, not sure how that happened... I shipped both pairs back and the return credit hit my account within a couple of days, thank goodness.

I'm sorry but the boots are no where near what I expected them to be. That are way too big, they fit more like a 7. The look of them extremely cheap.

They will not credit you for any returns of any kind for shipping! Cost me over $15 to return. Boots arrived late, so couldn't have the chance to wear to my western promo. On top of it, I ordered a 1/2 Size larger. And could NOT get my foot inside. Going to have to order another size larger. There not real cowboy boots, compared side by side next to my boss's real cowboy boots. The picture makes it look real. I noticed plastic stitching along rim of boot. You can't notice it unless you really look tho. They feel cheap. I rate it 1 because over all they look cute from a distance. They look and feel like they will fall apart or un-glued. Sucks... just going to have to save up some cash and buy real boots.

the fit is really tight even for a size bigger than what you need, and theres no grip on the bottom so they slide really easy on any surface, they look nice but the bottom stitching isnt the best looks like it could rip with any pressure to it, not happy with these boots at all

I have other Ariat boots, and they aren't like this pair. These are way too big. I could walk right out of them. They look like clown shoes. I'm so disappointed.

I bought these boots 9 months ago but never even tried them on till today. My mistake. I thought "OK they feel pretty big but I'll wear heavy socks". BTW I bought these a size smaller than I usually wear because of the reviews already posted about the sizing. They were so darn big that I kept running into people in front of me with the toe of these boots. Very embarrassing! If you buy these boots please try them out before the return policy runs out. They're useless to me. Sorry I wasted my money :(

****I'm only giving this review 1 star because of the sizing**** I bought the Distressed Brown version of these shoes despite all the reviews telling me how big they run. Dumb move. I purchased them in my regular size 6.5 and they are equivalent to a 7.5 or 8 on me. I waited way too long to actually wear them out to realize just how annoying large they are, so now I'm stuck with them. I tend to think I have a wide foot and these boots are still to big/wide for me. Also, if you have chicken legs like I do, they're large around the calf. I knew that buying them and that's why I chose the distressed brown ( I thought the turquoise blue lining peeking at the sides was cute). Aside from being totally off on sizing, this is a beautiful boot. The stitching, the leather, the design, and the lining are really nice. Another thing that bothered me, however, was the heel. It juts out pretty far, or maybe just too far for my liking.
