EXCELLENT DESCRPTION! EXCELLENT SELLER!!
Unsurprisingly This Game is Awesome! Great game with nice graphics. :) 12/10
June 27, 2016
Loved the game. The graphics are really great especially for a PS Vita game. The control are really easy to figure out and handle. The game it's self really brings back memories of need for speed underground 1 & 2 and other need for speed games. Very nostalgic and a bonus that you can play online with others very easily. It's super fun and exciting. If your thinking or hesitant on getting this game, no worries it's really a awesome game. I Would totally recommend getting it. :D
Worth the money.
January 14, 2016
I like the series but I think the older ones were better. I don't know if it's me getting older though but it is still a very fun game to play. The different modes are great because this way you can switch between them and don't get tired. I personally like to try great escapes and share my replays, they are the most fun.
Great game, really exciting
April 27, 2015
Great game, really exciting, the graphics are not stunning but still beyond expectation. Controls are smooth, the game fits on the psv perfectly without glitches. Very challenging though, it will teach you serious lesions about using te brakes!
"Loud Powerful Sports Cars "
October 23, 2014
I can't even speak right now. I can't brag enough on this game. I was so blown away of how the reflection of the sun and rich detailed visuals seem to pop right out of the screen at you. Roar pass the cops going 160MPH in loud powerful sports cars. Give them a run for their money, and lead them into traps, then leave them 1 mile behind. Go into a dark alley cut off the engine and lights while the back tires smoke, and watch the cops blow right pass you like fools as you hide in the shadows letting your heat level cool down. Seconds latter the heat meter lowers then you've evaded the cops. The only thing left to say is just buy the game. It's fun and very addicting.
5 Stars from a non need for speed fan
August 23, 2014
Wow! I gotta say, Ive owned plenty of need for speed games since the PS1 days. But Ive never been a huge fan.To be honest, the best driving game I ever played to date has been Blur because of the speed, challenges, and all the other non driving elements it added to the experience (shunting someone into oblivion at top speed to take 1st place!! LOVE IT)This game offers the same excitement! So many challenges! Super fast speeds! Racing! Evading Police! Open world!EA did a great job with this game. The only thing to mention is it is harder to see some things on the small vita screen (upcoming traffic, OSD, etc..)The graphics arent as polished as the PS3 version either, but they did a great job of not leaving anything out of this version. Also, the game is not cross save. So your game is independent from the PS3 version if you own that as well. No pick up and play where you left off. Kinda sucks since they packed everything in the vita model to make the game virtually the same as the ps3 version aside from the graphics.I highly recommend this game!

Really fun and looks great!
September 30, 2016
As a fan of the other Arkham games I have to say I am very happy with this game. The side scrolling setup is great for the vita, and it looks great. The combat is pretty much the same as the other Arkham games, in that it's really smooth and makes you feel like a total badass when you get a long combo. The "boss" fights are pretty fun and each one has a different approach so they force you to think in a different way with each new boss. The only real downside I can think of is the map system, the map screen is very basic and not very intuitive. I spent a lot of time wandering back and forth trying to figure out where I should go, perhaps it's just that I had a hard time with it but I feel like it could have been handled a bit better.Overall, the game is great and very fun, aside from the trouble with the map I really enjoyed playing it and I may even go back and play it again to get all of the collectables.
Fun game!

My son had lots of fun playing this. My youngest said its fun but challenging. So that's a good thing if he doesn't beat the game the first day! Graphics and gameplay keep you entertained especially for the batman fans
Nice surprise
October 14, 2014
I got this game for $9.99 and honestly did not have high expectations for it.I was very surprised to find it is a very fun game with quite a bit of exploration and challenge. It takes a while to get used to the map, but once you do, running around is fun (and there are collectibles to find as you explore which keeps it interesting). The boss fights are blah - simple patterns, etc. The final boss fight is irritatingly a Quick Time Event and if you even slightly mistime or mishit a button, you start over. That was my only real frustration with the game.Overall - if you can get this for $15.99 or less, I would recommend it. One of the better experiences I've had on Vita.
Lots of action

My grandson told me to write "because its an awesome game and you get to fight every bad guy and thats cool". Lol. Thats his review. He's 7.
Awesome ... Where are the rest of the great games?
January 14, 2014
I love my Vita. I long for games like this that have the graphics and gameplay to take advantage of the hardware Sony has brought to market. I would have preferred a more 3D environment in the game, but they do a very good job of exploiting this 2.5D format. My only complaint ... and it's not small, but it is only one ... is that with all this powerful hardware, we still can't get full versions. I'd like to see the full Arkham Origins on Vita, not a pared down spinoff. The game is great, but I'm tired of feeling like the leftover pot roast whenever new games come out for every system but mine. Sony has a monster console on its hands with the Vita, and they do very little to recognize that.If you want to use your Vita as it was intended, get this game ... it's great. And the more players buy games like this the more good games they will bring to market. I showed this game (on Vita) to my brother in law, who was playing it on his 3DS ... and he was blown away. The graphics and controls made for a totally different experience. That's not a swipe at the 3DS, because it is a great console too ... but Vita has a lot to be proud of, except for its game catalog. This is a step in the right direction ... keep them coming Sony!!
Really good Batman game, great Vita game!
October 28, 2013
I contemplated giving this review 4 stars just to lower expectations a little bit, but the truth is I played this game probably 6 hours this weekend after opening it when I got home on Friday. This is a MUST-OWN for any Vita owner. If you liked the Scarecrow levels in Arkham Asylum then this game is for you, because it works in a very similar way except that you guide your experience much more than you could in the Scarecrow levels. What impresses me the most about this game is the way Armature transformed the side-scroller and gave it so much depth. There are a lot of "Wow, I can do this too??" moments throughout the game as the gameplay gets deeper and deeper. The combat is great as you would expect from the Arkham series. Maybe not as silky smooth as the PS3 version but not far off.The story is good so far (like I said, I'm just 6 hours in) and the motion comic cutscenes are really charming. The only gripe I could possibly throw out is that this game was obviously made to run on both the 3DS and the Vita, which can only hurt the Vita version. You hardly ever use the right stick (because the 3DS doesn't have one) and the touchscreen implementation is sometimes not used when you would expect it like on the map (because the 3DS uses capacitive touch and pinching to zoom in and out on that would be problematic). So outside of the Vita being a far superior system than the only other one that this game was released on, I love this game. I really think the Vita has the chops to run a game like Arkham Asylum but I'm grateful this game exists and I've had a lot of fun playing it.

Regretted trading this in and had to have it back!

This is still one of the best vita games out there! It has amazing graphics and gameplay.. I can only imagine how I would've looked had the dev made this further into the vitas life cycle knowing more about the hardware and development tricks. Either way it's a great game.. It's selling sealed on ebay for $30+ and Amazon has it for $17.99 and free shipping with prime.. You can't beat it!
Decent Vita version with lots of content.
October 12, 2016
Decent Vita version with lots of content. Key game features include:Versatile gameplay for the Uncharted fan: Traditional (Dualstick Analog/button) or interactive (NGP features) allows players to choose the method that compliments their playing style.• Through utilizing the technology of the OLED screen, Uncharted: Golden Abyss delivers the signature Uncharted cinematic experience on-the-go.• Epic single player campaign that takes players through richly detailed realistic environments and undiscovered lands.• Experience the adventure of uniquely acrobatic Uncharted gameplay, optimized with PlayStation Vita controls• Touch, and tap the screen to swing, jump, and traverse non-continuous game sections, like crumbling bridges and river crossings• Rub the screen to take important imprints of in-game relics found• Utilize the motion-sensing controls of the PS Vita's internal gyroscope to balance Drake as he crosses slippery logs, and as an aiming method in shooting situations• Puzzle solve as you collect the relics hidden throughout the game
Holds up to the reputation of other games in the series.
July 15, 2015
Like most Uncharted games. A good story and a relatively relaxed play-through.This one uses some gimmicks for the PSP Vita, like making you swipe the front and rear screens for tasks at times and using the gyro to due balancing and even using the camera as a light sensor at times. These I find sometimes annoying. But it isn't terribly obtrusive to enjoying the game. The story isn't as good as Uncharted 2, which was my favorite, but it's still good. The voice acting, as usual, is excellent, and the fun factor is very high.I play it on the bus to work, about 20 minutes twice a day, and it's easy to put down and pick up, and the story is engaging. My bus trip is often over too soon now!
More Nathan Drake adventures? Count me in.

There are some very detailed walkthrough like reviews on here for this game, so I won't go into too much detail about the plot or the gameplay. Some of the touch screen elements are utilized well and make for fun gameplay even if they do get repetitive. Overall the gameplay feels like the previous iterations of the franchise although I think this game feels more like the Drakes Fortune than Drakes Deception. The voice acting is as great as always, the sound as well. Doesn't seem to have any new themes or overtures as far as music, and some of the distant backgrounds in the level design (particularly jungle levels) looks like a painted backdrop, I have no real gripes about this games and love It like all the other Uncharted games. This is definitely one of the best games I've played on a handheld device, certainly one of the best looking. If you are an Uncharted fan, you will wanna play this game.
This is it!

Let`s get my video game experience out of the way: I`ve owned every single portable video game console starting from the Gameboy. Have I played the most important portable games from The Legend of Zelda XD to Peace Walker? Absolutely. I`ve pretty much played every important portable video game title ever created. Now let`s talk about this jewel named "Uncharted: Golden Abyss."First of all, it`s said that Peace Walker is the most amazing portable game created, but it can`t compare to this one in terms of action, gameplay and almost everything else. This game feels like the real thing. It does not feel crippled in any way. There are some hiccups, but remember this a launch tile, where developers get to know the console potential. However, this title feels like no other portable. Is it the Vita? If yes, I don`t wanna think about future games in terms of graphics because Golden Abyss looks like heaven. The title is over 20 hours of story and over 100 hours to get all trophies including the ones in the game and the PSN`s ones. Besides it will take a lot of work to collect every treasure. I guess there are over two hundred objects to collect if I am not mistaken. The game is huge from every perspective that you want to see it: graphics, exploration, gameplay and story. Probably Sony knew that it needed something this big and good to keep early adopters happy. If you happen to own a Vita, just buy this game and get ready play the most amazing portable video game experience ever created. This game puts every other portable video game to shame and rightfully so. It should keep you happy while you wait for Call of Duty and AC which are going to be awesome because of the Vita`s incredible potential.
New to Uncharted games
June 15, 2012
I have never played a game in this franchise, until my purchase of this PS Vita title. I am not a big fan of action/adventure games, but found myself pleasantly surprised by how much fun this game was to play. I particularly enjoyed the black market, and the collecting of bounty items throughout the game. I like the ability to replay different chapters even before completing the game fully. I did find myself getting stuck a few times during shootouts, but I am not a big fan of shooter games (and have played very few action games) so this is a very minor issue- that is more likely a result of the genre of the game than any fault with the difficulty of the game itself.Overall, I would recommend this game.It has: -good graphics, -quite a few items to collect, -the ability to trade items with other players through the Near app with Black Market, -a good plot with solid historical background (even the items you find come with small descriptions/exposition on their historical significance/background, which was a very nice touch), -good character development, and -utilizes not only the joystick but also touch controls, as well as the back touch control of the PS Vita.

So far I really like it
September 20, 2017
vSo far it functions exactly as described. Very vivid bright colors, smooth flow screen swipe, controls are very easy to use and are placed well on the console. Battery life is pretty good, I love how it connects with my Playstation 4 and I can use it paired with my PS4 to play Playstation games on my tv or PS Vita in a completely seperate room without loosing the motion of the game. So far I Love it
Amazing item. I love it!
September 6, 2017
I've had it for a few days now and I can tell you this is one awesome product. I enjoy playing it so much but I definitely recommend getting a PlayStation SD card because it only comes with 1gb of memory. It's enough to save a few game files but getting even a 8gb one is ideal. It got to my house almost the same day but their was a small issue with the delivery but nothing horrible. In the end I'm happy I purchased this item.
Very Nice~

Vita FAQ and Opinions
August 10, 2016
I’ve read through all of the questions here on Amazon and there are some things that come up repeatedly. I’ll start with those things and then move on to my general impressions. I’ve owned the Vita for a few years now.HARDWARE VERSIONSThere are two versions of the Vita: new and old / Slim and Fat / 2000 and 1000 series… The slim (2000) has rounded edges and completely transparent shoulder buttons. Compare to the original (1000) which has sharper edges and dark tinted shoulder buttons. Just a quick way to tell them apart in pictures. The original had an OLED screen which is technically better quality, but used more battery life and was more expensive. The new model has an LCD screen, still sharp picture but maybe a little less contrast, but much improved battery life and also has 1 gig internal memory and uses standard micro usb to charge instead of a proprietary cord. From here on I’ll be only referring to the new model unless I state otherwise.MEMORYThere is 1 gig of memory onboard. This means it is built-in, not a card. Some sellers bundle the system with a memory card, others don’t; please read descriptions carefully or contact sellers if there is confusion. The 1 gig of onboard memory is sufficient if you will be playing mostly cartridge-based games as opposed to downloaded games. At some point though you may want to look into getting a Vita memory card. The best size to get is the biggest you can afford so that you limit the frequency of your having to swap out cards. 16 gigs should be plenty for the average person in my opinion. Memory cards will occasionally go on sale. 16 gigs can go down to about $20 on sale. They’re proprietary and different from standard SD cards. They are pricey compared to SD cards, but reliable.GAMES PRELOADED / BUNDLEDSome sellers are bundling the system with a game. Please check the description.Otherwise, no there are not really games pre-installed, just some tutorial type games.WiFiYou do not have to be connected to the internet to play Vita games. There are almost zero games that require that. An internet connection is needed for online play obviously. Buying games can be done over a PC or PS3 / PS4. Updates can be installed in a similar fashion. You do not have to pay to play online with the PS Vita. Similar to the PS3, online play is free. With PS4, you have to pay to play online. The service is called Playstation Plus. You do not have to pay to access the store. The store works like any other online apps store and is pre-installed on the Vita.PLAYSTATION NOW AND PLAYSTATION PLUSBoth are subscription services. They are separate things. Both sometimes have free trial periods.PSNow is a streaming game service. It’s like Netflix for games in a sense. The games are not fully installed on your system, they are streamed, meaning they would need a continuous internet connection. Note: as of now (March 2017) it seems that PS Now is no longer available for the Vita, nor for any platforms besides PS4 and PC.PSPlus is like Amazon Prime. It’s sort of a Premium Membership Program. It allows you to download and install certain games for free; the selection of games is updated regularly; you do not ‘own’ these games, but you can play them as much as you want as long as you are a PSPlus member. Members also get reduced prices on some games.REMOTE PLAYIf you have a PS4, you can basically use your PS4 remotely on your Vita. The PS4 does the hard work of rendering the game and it sends the image to your Vita’s screen. The Vita for it’s part sends your control inputs to the PS4. In effect you can play PS4 games on your Vita. This can be done at home on your home wifi network or it can be done over the internet--so if you’re somewhere else, and you’re connected to the internet on your Vita, your Vita can wake up your PS4 back home and control it from wherever you are.CROSS SAVEWith some games, you can share saves between a ps4 copy and a Vita copy of the same game.CROSS BUYSome ps4 games come with a Vita copy. Some Vita games come with a PS4 copy.WAYS TO GET GAMESBuy physical game cartridges that are made specifically for the Vita,Download games directly to Vita from the PS store,Download games from the PS store to a PS3/4 or PC and transfer to Vita,Stream games using Playstation Now.GAME TYPESPS Vita Games: Made for the Vita. Either in physical cartridge format or downloaded from the store. Some of these are available on other systems such as PS3, PS4, PC.PSP Games: Made for the PSP, but can be played on the Vita. They will need to be downloaded from the store. The Vita does not accept PSP cartridges, called UMDs.PS1 Games: Made for the PS1, but can be played on the Vita. They will need to be downloaded from the store. The Vita does not accept PS1 cds.SPECIAL NOTE: Indie GamesMany “Indie” games available on services like Steam are available on the Vita. If you don’t know what that means, I’ll say: There are a lot of games that are made by smaller game companies that are very popular with those who know about them, but are obscure compared to higher profile releases like Call of Duty or Pokemon. The catch-all term for these types of games (sometimes erroneously applied) is “Indie”. Some of the more popular of those games are available for Vita. Many people who love Indie games, buy a Vita for that reason alone.SPECIAL NOTE: JRPGs and Visual NovelsThere are a lot of these types of games. Many people who love JRPGs and/or Visual Novels, buy a Vita for this reason alone.REGIONSIt used to be that game systems were only able to play games that were of the same “region” (group of countries). This is not the case for the Vita. Some games from Japan for example might have no English text option, so that’s a separate issue, but the game will play. In this example, online play and dlc would require a Japanese Playstation account.NEW GAMES / THE FUTUREAs of my writing this (08/2016), Sony has stated that it is putting a hold on producing first party games for the Vita. This means that Sony itself will not be making new games, however many new games are on the horizon from third party companies: companies other than Sony itself. This is not a huge problem as many great games in Playstation’s past have come from third party companies, if not most. And even if new games were not coming, the existing content on offer is still large and diverse and it will be available at least in digital format through the online store for a very long time.PERSONAL NOTES (Opinions)I play the Vita in bed after the kids are down. I also take it on trips but I mostly play it at home. I have a PS3 and a powerful gaming PC that I use less than I use the Vita. It’s just a convenience factor and there’s just something hard to describe about the simple act of playing on a handheld instead of on a TV or computer monitor. The Vita has a marketing problem, always has. No one knows about it when a new game is released. On my Vita game wishlist I have about 70 games. On another list I have about 25 that are not released yet but are planned for this year or next. There are games out and there are games coming. The games will continue to be released with no fanfare / promotion, but they’re out there. Check the Playstation Store regularly for sales. Check Amazon for deals on physical cartridges and memory cards. Read websites like PocketGamer, Destructoid, or iPlayPSVita for news on upcoming games. Or simply Google “best Vita games” and see if any of those strike your fancy, then look them up in the aforementioned stores. Unfortunately, just going to Target will get you nowhere and don’t expect to be passively informed of new releases. The Vita feels great, looks great, it’s a solid dependable piece of hardware, currently priced attractively at $156. It has an enormous library of games and I prefer it to playing on a TV or monitor.

Difficult to play on PS Vita but still worth it!

Last time I played NFS was many years ago with a PS 2 console.Found out playing it on PS Vita is a bit more difficult. The Gameplay is also different from what I was expecting.I will give it a chance, I still need to get used to it.Graphics are great though!
This game surprisingly won me over (former NFS and Burnout hater)
February 13, 2014
Typically, I absolutely hate arcade racing games. 99% of the NFS series is trash to me. Burnout is even worse. In my opinion those games are super repetitive, boring, and have some of the lamest gameplay in the racing genre. I only got this game, because I figured it might be ok on the Vita. I was right. It is a fun game on the go. It's basically the exact same game as the PS3 version (with weaker graphics, and less traffic) which is pretty impressive. It's not the best looking Vita game but considering the open world, it's really good for what it is.It's challenging, and fun to play. There's a lot of great cars to unlock so playing it is indeed rewarding. It's the only NFS game I've liked since NFS 1 Road and Track edition lol
its good for a port to a portable

hey cool it's need for speed most wanted 2012.I played the need for speed underground games so I was hoping for some customizing in the game. You can't customized the look of the vehicle.vehicle graphics look good and backgrounds or good to okay.you can improve your vehicles performance with upgrades.some of the cars can be clumsy and are out of control at high speeds.there is a lot of vehicles and a lot of races.beating everyone on your most wanted list you get the credit roll.(beat the game)expect a lot of intensional crashes accidents.

Fun
September 3, 2017
Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate is a pretty fun game. This is not an open world game like the other Batman games. And is a side scroller for the most part. This is a really easy game to play. What makes it interesting is that you can change the order in which villain you can defeat. This changes the ending somewhat. Also, the cut scenes are like a comic book, which is ok if you like that kind of thing. I personally don't, but that's my opinion.Overall I give this game a 4/5. It's fun, has some replay value if you want to get the achievements. But it lacked an open world, which made the batman games fun in the first place.
good library addition
April 6, 2017
4/5 - the game is good, the action is smooth, the graphics are clean, the story is fluid and coherent... it's just that there aren't any hints, leaving you to figure out a large chunk of how to play the game. and this has gotten frustrating for me early on in the game when I enter into a new encounter and repeatedly die in various stupid ways trying to figure out the simple controls. a clearer control layout would have been nice.aside from that, if you like comics, the Batman series, have watched any of the films, then you would really enjoy the game. as I stated at the beginning of this review, everything about this game works. first thing I noticed about the game was how well the graphics are lain out, and this is on a handheld unit.I would recommend this game if you like action, and decent story, and you rooted for Batman when he 'vs Superman'. yup.

Great Batman Game but could be better
September 26, 2015
one of the greatest game on the vita the have i for one personally love the Batman Arkham series so when i heard it was going to be on the Psvita is was very pumped. The pro's everything is like the batman games on the consoles but with a little twist instead of having normally cut scenes like in the Xbox/PS3 games they ended up making it like a comic which i like because it's something different also you also see characters like The Joker,Cat Women etc it's like the batman games on the console. The con's it get's confusing sometimes looking for the next villain or finding a way to get to them and the game is a 3DS port which also makes me think what would have they done to this day if it was just a Psvita exclusive and lastly it's a 2d side Scroller game which is not bad but people would much prefer a full 3d batman game.
Fun sidescroller
April 27, 2014
Honestly, its a fun 2.5d sidescroller - if you enjoy this style of game, you are going to enjoy this one. I am still playing it (on PC) though I bought it for the Vita too -Graphics look nice, controls are easy to use, and it takes place a couple months after Batman: Arkham Origins, though you do not have to have played that game......the armor is the same, which is good! This game is pretty inexpensive now - get it!!!
Solid 'Metroidvania' game hamstrung by unrealistic expectations
November 19, 2013
If this had come out before the Batman Arkham games made people realize that licensed games don't have to be terrible, Blackgate would have been heralded as the new dawn of licensed products. Compared to the average licensed game (and Batman games historically, not counting the Arkham ones), this is a great game. It's a solid 'Metroidvania' side scroller with emphasis on gadgets and exploration with good (if a bit easy) combat. Graphically it is quite good as well, though not up to some of the top tier Vita games. Does a really good job at capturing the 'feel' of the previous Arkham games on the consoles. The problem is that people have started to expect Arkham City level quality from all Batman games now (see the mediocre reviews of Origin on the consoles as an example of this bias), and Blackgate, like Origin, just can't really live up to Arkham City's towering shadow. That combined with some issues with the game itself (slightly buggy and a pretty terrible map) gave people the impression that it wasn't a very good game. A shame really, because any Vita owner who likes Batman games will almost certainly find something to enjoy about this game. Keep expectations tempered, and you'll find a thoroughly enjoyable 8-10 hour Batman beat-em-up.

Not to bad of a game
Overall very good, but does has some occasionally annoying controls.
October 12, 2016
As a Uncharted fan, this game hits the spot. Overall, it is very good and pretty long. Has all the familiar mechanics of the console version. You can tell it isn't a Naughty Dog game due to some minor bugs and occasionally annoying controls.

This is a must have game for the Vita. It takes 10 hours on Average to beat the game if you're playing on Normal. Also for those wondering if there is Multiplayer, there is no Multiplayer so its Single Player only. The game might not be as good as the first 3 but its still a top notch Uncharted game. The game does have an Uncharted: Drake's Fortune feel to it. Like i said this is a must have game for the Vita.
Gorgeous graphics and a sexy main character.

Really fun game with beautiful graphics. I used to have a Gameboy and loved the James Bond games, and this game kind of reminds me of them. I'm a chick who doesn't usually like games with guns and violence, I'm more of a Little Big Planet kind of gal. But this is really fun.
The Reason to own a PS Vita.
January 6, 2013
I bought this game when the Vita launched in the US back in Feb 2012.Graphics: The graphics in the game are the best for a handheld. The game looks about as good as the original Uncharted on ps3. Textures are clear and the character models and animation are top notch.Gameplay: Golden Abyss is a standard 3rd person action game. You jump, shoot and solve puzzles. The game also adds Vita specific functions like touchscreen use and motion control.Story: The story is a typical Nathan Drake adventure. I found the story to be weaker then the Uncharted's on PS3 but its not terrible by any means.Length/Extras: With 34 chapters and trophy support there is plenty to do in the game. I beat the game on normal in about 7-8 hours.Uncharted Golden Abyss is the best reason to own a Vita.
Review perspective from someone new to both the Uncharted franchise and the Vita
June 12, 2012
As a little background, I have not owned a portable gaming console since the original gameboy. I do heavily game on home consoles though (mostly PS3). I have also never played any of the Uncharted series (I hope to pick up the PS3 Uncharted's soon). For those completely unfamiliar with this game or the Uncharted series, think of these as the quintessential Indiana Jones video game experience. You have action, humor, exploration, and more. Your gametime will be split between: exploration (although very linear most of the time), shooting bad guys, light puzzle solving (if you are looking for Portal 2 or Braid type puzzles look elsewhere), and witty dialogue. The game is divided up into Chapters, but the chapters transition seamlessly to one another (for example, you may be running down a path and on screen it will tell you that are you starting a new chapter)The game in my opinion is quite a technical feat. It is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the gameplay never really quite matches the technical wondery of the game and the use of the Vita's touch functions is a little heavy handed. Here is a summary of my thoughts on the game:The Good:- Amazing graphics on a handheld. Seriously, this game floored me with its visuals- The dialogue is humorous (It is my understanding that general opinion is that the PS3 Uncharteds have better stories though)- Decent variety of gameplay. Controls well. (note: dont forget, physically moving the vita moves your aiming reticle when you are in shooting mode! I forgot that and was wondering why my reticle was moving all over the place)- Some touch screen controls implemented well, such as throwing grenadesThe Bad:- Way too much forced use of the Vita's functions. Balancing on a log every single time you cross one is annoying (the way it is scripted...would have been better if it happened more "naturally"). Having to "wipe" artifacts clean of dirt is tremendously annoying and is just busy work. Etc.- I personally found the climbing sections to be dreadfully boringThe Ugly:- There is a part of the game where to read a hidden message on a piece of paper you literally have to hold your vita up to a very bright light (I had to hold it inches away from a lamp bulb). This is forced and you can't avoid it. Why is it bad? Because I, and potentially many other people, play my vita mostly in bed before I go to sleep!! I didnt want to wake my wife up so I had to get out of bed and go to a different room to turn the lights on. Imagine being on a red-eye airplane flight and having to turn on the lights to play, etc. Conclusion:A solid B+ (rounded to 4 stars) Vita game that is sometimes a little too focused on silly touch implementations. I would recommend it to most.

No Memory Card
May 22, 2017
The product itself is great. It's a nice sleek design, it's light, portable, but the only problem (and why I'm marking it down one star) is that it does NOT include a memory card. Be sure to buy one with your purchase of the console!

November 15, 2016
Just what I needed! I had a psp in the earlier years and missed out on the psgo and the vita. Here I am now with a ps4 and decided to buy a vita for the remote play feature. Everything works to perfection. Feels like a premium product but the only thing I had a little struggle was with the remote play. If ps4 not connected to ethernet cable it will run really slow and in some cases games will be unplayable other than that perfect.
I like it, it's light
February 20, 2016
I like it, it's light, the display is nice like a smartphone, remote access to my PS4 works wonderfully, I'm waiting for my 64 Gb memory card. The worst of this device is the camera quality, both cameras suck, but hey, it could have no cameras at all, so, all in all that's fine. The speakers don't sound as good as I had hoped for. If you use a headset it will sound much better. I'm having trouble getting used to the triggers, I find them too shaky. Overall I recommend it.

Best racing game for the Vita
March 5, 2015
I have owned this game on the PS3 as well and it's great to own it at the palm of your hands. The graphics are a bit downgraded from the Playstation 3 version, but it still looks great for a handheld console. Only downside that it's not a cross-save...I don't like the fact that everything is unlocked from the get-go, instead of unlocking cars as you progress. Also, there's no actual story, only 10 "most wanted" cars that you have to beat in order to get their cars. But, there's a lot to do - smash gates, smashing billboards, collecting cars and going through speed cameras. Finding all of the cars can consume some time as well. The car list is a bit lacking, having about a third in the quantity as opposed to NFS Hot Pursuit, for example. The multiplayer is nice but suffers from frequent disconnections from the EA servers.Overall, if you like racing games and you're looking for one for the Vita - This should be your choice. The game is very enjoyable, with or without friends.
4 stars for bringing this game back!
February 11, 2013
Overall this is great game to play!As you check out all the cars and try to win all the challenges, you earn speed points and more speed points to win all the cars. Cops chase you and some are quite challenging as well. Here's my pros and cons for this game.Pros:*All the best cars in the world today and the past plus more!*Cool videos once you unlock challenges and finish the game*Makes you wanna come back to see if you complete the car fully tuned up and what it can do*Network play! And not just your fellow neighbor...all over the world who has this game!Cons:*No decals or anything to customize the cars except the colors which you get from going to garages*Very basic storyline. You come into the city. You win cars from races. That's about it. One thing that kept me going back in the first game (the original Most Wanted) was the cool play out of the story. In fact, all the storylines from this franchise. What happened here, EA Sports? This soon becomes a game of numbers wherein your task is to hit 100%. It's different when you hit 100% and everyone asks you what you did find out about the story. It's welcome to see this game back but after you win all the cars..it kinda leaves you wanting more from this game.Updated last March 11, 2013:I've downgraded this review to only 3 stars as although EA has released 3 different DLC packs including the Legends and other free stuff in the game it is ONLY available for the PS3 owners and not yet for the PS Vita. There has been feedback requesting for it but all that Electronic Arts has said is to wait for the exciting news. Unless the company makes this available for this platform, I'm sticking to my 3 star updated review.
Great game!
December 30, 2012
I like that they've literally port over the console version, but I wish they've adjusted it more to fit the Vita screen. The game is fun, and I enjoy the graphics, but I found that after playing for a good 10 mins or more my eyes will strain. It is mostly because of the bad environment textures. The car models are really nice, but this game still feels like it's lacking.

Navigating Nightmare...
May 4, 2016
There are plenty of things that are right about this game, but there are also many things that bring it down. The good things about this game include the same things that make the other Batman games in the series so much fun. The ambiance is certainly enjoyable. The voice acting and cut scenes are solid, but is somewhat scarce. The story is good enough though clearly lacking compared to any other game in the series. The controls are mostly responsive except during intense combat when it can get kinda clunky and awkward. The worst part of the game is by far the map and environment. Navigating around the game in 2.5 D fashion is frustrating with much backtracking and confusion. The map can be somewhat helpful but bring it up every couple of minutes is tedious. Overall, I'd skip this game since you are missing much especially if you have played the other Batman games.

June 10, 2015
Played for about an hour."Punch, punch, punch, kick, punch, jump, swing, repeat."I let my friend play it and in a few days he beat it. I asked him what changed or improved from what I experienced. He told me you get a sort of upgrade to your batarangs. Everything else was the same grind.Gameplay was boring. The story was great and graphics are awesome though! Watch it on YouTube and save the cash.
Only Ok
March 18, 2014
I was pretty excited for this game. I'm a big fan of the other Batman: Arkham games. This one just doesn't measure up. Combat is overly simple. I never felt the need to go beyond basic punch, counter combos with the occasional cape sweep on those few enemies the required it. While in the other Arkham games, you'll beat up hordes of enemies, there really are not that many fights in this one. There are not that many stealth portions either. And if you flub most of them up, you can just punch your way out. No puzzles really either. It's all quite straight forward. The game is pretty short at 8-10 hours. In order to 100% the game, you must beat it 3 times. There are some redeeming qualities. The game is fun to play, and because it's short, you don't really get too bored with the combat. The boss battles are quite well done for the most part. The game looks pretty decent on the vita. The story has some good elements to it, but really its not very substantial. Those that know something about the DCU will see the story well ahead and know what is going on (except possibly for the small "twist" in the arkham wing), but those that don't know the DCU still won't know what's going on at the end and the story will feel really hollow to them. The short story here is really just a setup for a future game, and it definitely feels that way.So all in all, its ok. Just ok. Probably worth $10-15. I would have been pretty upset buying it for full price at launch though.

Really wanted to like this console. The games are beautiful, the screen is awesome and most gameplay is fun. The biggest issue i have is that the memory is proprietary and the games are so big you have to either switch games out all the time or buy more memory cards. That sux.

Boring after a few minutes.
Fun for short periods of time.
November 19, 2013
It's fun to play on short trips on the subway but other than that it gets really repetitive. And the car customization is practically missing. It forces you to play with every car, which is really annoying. Another Annoying thing is trying to find all the cars around the city. on the positive side it does look really good.
Not Burnout
October 2, 2013
This game was billed as the "spiritual successor" to the Burnout series. I can't speak to its value as a NFS game, but as a Burnout Game, it fails. It just seems so much slower, and the cars handle so much clunkier. There are maybe two or three that are manageable, but most of them are just a chore to drive. If you had Burnout for PSP and liked it, chances are you are not going to like this. Burnout on PSP was so fast paced and chaotic, you couldn't help but have fun. This game is the opposite. You can wander around the entire open world looking for fun, but all you will find is another cop or yet another poorly handling car.If boring gameplay is the price we must pay for an open world on a portable device, then close my world, please. Burnout Paradise (PS3) and Burnout Legends (PSP) are both far superior to this game. I hope the NFS fans are at least getting enjoyment out of it.
A boring arcade race, not as good as the first most wanted
April 25, 2013
There is a total lack Of story here, there is none. This is just a super fancy (not even that fancy) arcade racing game. Lots of cars to drive, no customization though. You find a Red Dodge charger with a black strip down the middle, all you can do is change the color of it, white/black, yellow/black and so on, will always have stripe and same body kit. Deffenitly avoide this game.
Direct Port = Too Much 4 Vita Screen
January 1, 2013
Hey Buyer,Huff here, listen up. Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a game best played on an actual system. I have a PC-copy of this game and decided to get the Vita-version for whenever i am on the go. I have to say, disappointed; two thing sealed the deal and had me put this game away forever...The Controls: though smooth in steering the fact that i am unable to control the amount of acceleration i apply to my auto annoys me very much. you press the 'R' button and its pretty much open throttle from there.Screen Size: boy this kills the game for me. like all the other user have pointed out. EA/Critreon directly port the game from its big consle cousin. you do not miss out on anything excpet the fact your screen size has been crippled a billion fold. picking out regular traffic from the competitors as you race is a major set back. but not only that, there are times you cannot tell the road from a wall :o( OUCH... will make your game extreme tough to play.Buyer, if you are a person that has been playing via big console or PC? do not use ur hard earned cash for this version. We have been spoiled by alot of pretty visuals and gaphics processing. to try and jump from that to Vita version will mostly fustrate you as suppose to extended the fun.On the plus, the game is fun. the game has been directly port so this means they did not cut back on any of the activities that were done on the console-versions. If you are not an individual that had been playing a console-version there is possibly a glimmer of hope for u in regards to enjoying the Vita version. however, if you are coming from the Xbox360/PS3/or PC version there is a 90% chance you will dislike and regret this purchase.Anyway, thanks for reading and i hope this will give even more perspective about this product.
Average, with a lot of design UI flaws
December 14, 2012
I look for a few things in racing games so that they are playable for a long time. NFS for vita does not have them. I've played most of the franchise all the way from some of the original first games.- restarting/retrying a race is cumbersome, you can not do it from the end of a race (you get thrown straight into free roam), the option is in the menu(s) (depending on which menu you use. If during a race and you restart it still requires a fair amount of time to load the race up again, where you also have to skip the 15/30 second artsy cutscene. It works but certainly is not as fast/fluid as it could be.-Racing against most wanted cars, they turn out to be the easier races, but also the cars are white, which ironically is the most common color of traffic cars. As a result on a screen of this size it is really easy to id a white car, ram it only to realize milliseconds before impact you are ramming a pedestrian (and as a result cut into a crash cutscene).- AI in general is nothing special, I am fairly sure they do that annoying thing all racing games do, never too far behind you, regardless of how perfect your run is.-I run the game in airplane mode, I'm not into the online score stuff (sorry I have no friends...). So maybe I'm missing something but after a race I do not clearly see my current time in comparison to my previous time. There is no sense of individual improvement. The replay value of racing games for me was racing a course only to improve my own time over and over.-UI is not clear what I'm racing for (like a goal time, or what my place is). I would think they ought to align or place these in better locations on the screen, half of the notifications must work great on a desktop or 1080p screen but here some of notifications are just so small you can barely read them (the notifications that 'link' to the car's taillights). On top of this notification displays of a take out and etc. take over so much of the screen... sometimes you just can't see the horizon.- I thought I'd be okay with less cars on the raod, as many people have reported the traffic is very little in this game (typically 4 or less cars aside from you and other racers), but I am not. I'd far rather have MORE cars then better graphics. Drop the graphics give me more of a race through traffic.- this does not impact gameplay, but the cutscene videos are just totally random. Some have just crazy psychedelic filters and others are just ridiculous spinning camera scenes. I'm sure someone worked very hard to make EACH race have it's own 'original' video, but frankly, I don't want the system to have to load a video and as a result take even longer to get me to play the game. Feels like a rush of effort on their part. The graphics are nice, but NOT OMG cool. The driving is okay, but the world is kinda meh and dull. I'll continue playing this, but overall I think it feels like a lot of leftovers from the other products, and too much attention was focused on the wrong things. Simple reconsiderations for the device this was being made for would have dramatically improved the gameplay.

June 11, 2015
I honestly bought a Vita for this game. I love Uncharted 1&2 (3 sucks) and I was hoping the Vita version would be just as good. I found it a let down compared to the first two games in the series. Sure, it had it's good moments. Nate's as awesome as ever. But the storyline was like that of Uncharted 3 - boring and it didn't drag you in like the first two. With the first two, they were so interesting I would play for hours without noticing how much time had gone by. With this one, it was more like 'I'm bored with everything else, might as well play this for a bit.' While it does have some interesting new things for the Vita, like charcoal rubbings and picture puzzles, overall I found it a let down.
Touch screen is not very accurate
August 14, 2013
The storyline is very good and the graphics are exceptional for a portable gaming system. However, I found the touch screen sensitive parts of the game to be inaccurate. I realize that this is new technology, but they still have a ways to go before it is considered perfected.
Vita Advertisment? (Game Breaking Glitch!!)
January 21, 2013
Edit: Game Breaking Glitch. Reduced my review from 3 to 2 stars. I wanted to go through the game again to try to find more of the collectibles, but because I've already finished the plot collectibles the game wont have me pick them up again, which mean I simply get stuck where I'm standing unable to progress any further. I then have to kill myself, reload, and it will sometimes, let me progress to the next collecable i can't pick up. This happened in the first Chapter!Original review Below:The games not bad, and if i hadn't played the PS3 versions I would probably be nicer. That said, the game feels like a very expensive vita advertisement. The story is OK, nothing special, but does the trick and keeps the game going forward. The problem is all the writing and game play stuff feels like its simply implemented to make sure the Vita new Tech is being used. The end result is a ton of mini games that make what I consider on the PS3 to be a nice mature game, to be dumbed down to quicktime events and little kid puzzles. The Good:*Graphics look really nice.*Voice acting is as good as always*The jumping/climbing fun that is expected is there.Bad:*Vita specific mini games that take you out of the game all the time.*Difficulty Spikes that feel like sloppy planning rather then a challenge.*No real boss fights, and the only two fights that exist are Quicktime events!!!*Rope climbing is designed to use the vita touch back screen but it's wonky, so they also put in normal button as well. end result you just go up and down on the rope for a while. The Blah:*Puzzles: which are more like rub this or line this picture up so it looks nice. Not horrible for a few of them, but you do it for the whole game. it gets a bit repetitive.* The story, if drake and Sulli weren't in the game, I wouldn't have cared for any of them.*The Camera during the climbing parts is stiff, where's the "Oh S***" parts that the PS3 counter parts have. Conclusion:because the Vita is currently lacking in games its worth it for about 20 or so. I do want to conclude that it's fun to see what the Vita can physically do, i just wish it wasn't forced upon you, but rather the natural choice. Heavy Rain a quicktime only game feels right because each action that you do seems like a form of what the characters are actual doing on screen, but these quicktime events feel more like 'look what the vita can do,' rather then having any real purpose.

Fantastic Console Hindered by Bad Pixel
August 3, 2015
The hardware is phenomenal considering what you pay for it! However also considering what you pay for it, I expect it to be flawless and my unit seemed to ship with a very annoying stuck pixel near the center that I just can't get to disappear. I would order a replacement but having to wait a month for that to happen is just too long so I quickly cancelled the replacement. I can't seem to get the maker of the device to comment on what to do either (I'm not sure 1 pixel is covered under warranty). I will just have to deal with the stuck pixel for the life of the device and hope it goes away. I seem to have this kind of luck with these things lately. I typically avoid consoles with screens due to the chance of having stuck pixels, but this is something I just had to have unfortunately, and I paid the price.

Horrible reiteration of a good game
June 8, 2013
I have been a huge NFS fan since the beginning. So far have enjoyed most of the games and thought this would be a good redo of a pretty decent NFS game. Boy was I wrong. This game truly sucks. I would have to say it is probably one of the worst but not the worst. That title goes to NFS:The Run. Needless to say its pretty horrible. I don't honestly know what EA is thinking having Criterion make this game. They are only good at making Burnout and suck at making NFS. Here are my reasons for disliking the game.- No customization at all. Not even a little bit.- Controls are atrocious.- The crash cam thing is really annoying.- The camera bouncing up and down whenever I go over a jump and hit the ground is disorienting and annoying.- No story line. I know some people don't like that in a racer but if I am playing NFS:MW I want a story line like I had in the original.- The graphics are ok but could be better.- The layout of the city is a horrible design and has way to much crap in it.I really wanted to like this game and forced myself to play even though it wasn't enjoyable, thinking I would get use to the controls, but it didn't change. The more I played the more I hated this game. Now I wont even check out Criterion/EA's next NFS game. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone who wants a good NFS game like we have had in the past and I will either be returning this or selling it.

You constantly get lost and are hardly ever told what to do. Don't waste your time. Not worth it at all.

Got this today at game stop. after a run and follow this guys for an hour, and lean all the "supper cool things we did with all the supper cool controls on the vita" it cuts to a very long video to give a very long exposition, got board and took the game out going to be returning it tomorrow.Seems the game is just a "look how cool the controls and video on the vita are" demo.

Typing in code for the product and it's tellimg me it's incorrect.
Impossible controls. Not worth the time to learn.
October 12, 2016
Difficult controls. Way too much going on to learn effectively. After a half an hour of dying over and over during the TUTORIAL because aiming is more or less impossible, this was torn out of my vita and will be going back to Gamestop tomorrow.

Japan version
October 11, 2017
The unit I received is the Japan import, the x and o buttons work differently than US version. Be aware.
Bad experience
October 7, 2017
Horrible experience, sent me a Japanese model of the Vita with a AC adapter I cannot even use here on any of my power outlets in the USA, a waste of my time to send back and wait for a replacement, if the product is Japanese do not advertise it as us verison, thanks!!
OBVIOUSLY USED AND MISSING PARTS
October 4, 2017
Extremely irritated. I paid for a NEW product, but what arrived is very obviously used—refurbished at best. First thing I noticed was the worn out and dirty box. The seals had been cut and it was easily opened right up. Inside the vita itself was wrapped with bubble wrap and has scratches all over the back panel. The box only came with HALF of a charging cable. It’s missing the USB end, the most important part! There was also no user manual. I cannot even charge this to turn it on and tell you if it even works!I clearly paid $200 for something worth $100... The worst part is that I’m overseas and can’t just send it back... Way to go Sony...
Don't buy it

Turned on the device for first time and can see a dead pixel on the screen. I would not recommend.
