Five Star Reviews: | 73% Regretted trading this in and had to have it back! May 9, 2017 This is still one of the best vita games out there! It has amazing graphics and gameplay.. I can only imagine how I would've looked had the dev made this further into the vitas life cycle knowing more about the hardware and development tricks. Either way it's a great game.. It's selling sealed on ebay for $30+ and Amazon has it for $17.99 and free shipping with prime.. You can't beat it! Decent Vita version with lots of content. October 12, 2016 Decent Vita version with lots of content. Key game features include:Versatile gameplay for the Uncharted fan: Traditional (Dualstick Analog/button) or interactive (NGP features) allows players to choose the method that compliments their playing style.• Through utilizing the technology of the OLED screen, Uncharted: Golden Abyss delivers the signature Uncharted cinematic experience on-the-go.• Epic single player campaign that takes players through richly detailed realistic environments and undiscovered lands.• Experience the adventure of uniquely acrobatic Uncharted gameplay, optimized with PlayStation Vita controls• Touch, and tap the screen to swing, jump, and traverse non-continuous game sections, like crumbling bridges and river crossings• Rub the screen to take important imprints of in-game relics found• Utilize the motion-sensing controls of the PS Vita's internal gyroscope to balance Drake as he crosses slippery logs, and as an aiming method in shooting situations• Puzzle solve as you collect the relics hidden throughout the game Holds up to the reputation of other games in the series. July 15, 2015 Like most Uncharted games. A good story and a relatively relaxed play-through.This one uses some gimmicks for the PSP Vita, like making you swipe the front and rear screens for tasks at times and using the gyro to due balancing and even using the camera as a light sensor at times. These I find sometimes annoying. But it isn't terribly obtrusive to enjoying the game. The story isn't as good as Uncharted 2, which was my favorite, but it's still good. The voice acting, as usual, is excellent, and the fun factor is very high.I play it on the bus to work, about 20 minutes twice a day, and it's easy to put down and pick up, and the story is engaging. My bus trip is often over too soon now! More Nathan Drake adventures? Count me in. October 1, 2012 There are some very detailed walkthrough like reviews on here for this game, so I won't go into too much detail about the plot or the gameplay. Some of the touch screen elements are utilized well and make for fun gameplay even if they do get repetitive. Overall the gameplay feels like the previous iterations of the franchise although I think this game feels more like the Drakes Fortune than Drakes Deception. The voice acting is as great as always, the sound as well. Doesn't seem to have any new themes or overtures as far as music, and some of the distant backgrounds in the level design (particularly jungle levels) looks like a painted backdrop, I have no real gripes about this games and love It like all the other Uncharted games. This is definitely one of the best games I've played on a handheld device, certainly one of the best looking. If you are an Uncharted fan, you will wanna play this game. This is it! June 21, 2012 Let`s get my video game experience out of the way: I`ve owned every single portable video game console starting from the Gameboy. Have I played the most important portable games from The Legend of Zelda XD to Peace Walker? Absolutely. I`ve pretty much played every important portable video game title ever created. Now let`s talk about this jewel named "Uncharted: Golden Abyss."First of all, it`s said that Peace Walker is the most amazing portable game created, but it can`t compare to this one in terms of action, gameplay and almost everything else. This game feels like the real thing. It does not feel crippled in any way. There are some hiccups, but remember this a launch tile, where developers get to know the console potential. However, this title feels like no other portable. Is it the Vita? If yes, I don`t wanna think about future games in terms of graphics because Golden Abyss looks like heaven. The title is over 20 hours of story and over 100 hours to get all trophies including the ones in the game and the PSN`s ones. Besides it will take a lot of work to collect every treasure. I guess there are over two hundred objects to collect if I am not mistaken. The game is huge from every perspective that you want to see it: graphics, exploration, gameplay and story. Probably Sony knew that it needed something this big and good to keep early adopters happy. If you happen to own a Vita, just buy this game and get ready play the most amazing portable video game experience ever created. This game puts every other portable video game to shame and rightfully so. It should keep you happy while you wait for Call of Duty and AC which are going to be awesome because of the Vita`s incredible potential. New to Uncharted games June 15, 2012 I have never played a game in this franchise, until my purchase of this PS Vita title. I am not a big fan of action/adventure games, but found myself pleasantly surprised by how much fun this game was to play. I particularly enjoyed the black market, and the collecting of bounty items throughout the game. I like the ability to replay different chapters even before completing the game fully. I did find myself getting stuck a few times during shootouts, but I am not a big fan of shooter games (and have played very few action games) so this is a very minor issue- that is more likely a result of the genre of the game than any fault with the difficulty of the game itself.Overall, I would recommend this game.It has: -good graphics, -quite a few items to collect, -the ability to trade items with other players through the Near app with Black Market, -a good plot with solid historical background (even the items you find come with small descriptions/exposition on their historical significance/background, which was a very nice touch), -good character development, and -utilizes not only the joystick but also touch controls, as well as the back touch control of the PS Vita. | 61% Says it's one of the best games he's gotten for the vita January 31, 2017 My son loves it. Says it's one of the best games he's gotten for the vita Call of Duty? December 27, 2016 So much fun, reminds me of Call of Duty! I played lots of it, but I'm still not finished. Lots of levels, very action packed and thrilling. Excellent war game!! one of my teenage son favorite games. November 17, 2015 Fast shipping, one of my teenage son favorite games. 2 Formats for the Price of 1! December 19, 2013 Unit 13 is an AWESOME portable TPS. It's definitely worth the price tag with tons of replayability. Another plus is that the game came in TWO FORMATS. With the online pass voucher I got a digital copy and the online pass so in addition to the physical game card I also got the digital copy of the game to put on my memory card. This is an awesome set up. I don't even need the game card anymore! If you like SOCOM Fireteam Bravo, You'll love this!!! April 2, 2012 I was hoping that a SOCOM-type game would be out for the Vita and Unit 13 does not disappoint! The graphic are great for a hand-held platform, the game itself is a lot of fun. Their are a variety of mission types for every type of gamer; stealth, tactical, and run & gun. The only complaint I can think of is the limited weapons choices, as there are numerous weapon systems that I would love to see employed in this game. Aside fromm that small complaint, I think this is the best release for the Vita to date. It is fun, addictive, challenging, and an all around great game. | 74% So far I really like it September 20, 2017 vSo far it functions exactly as described. Very vivid bright colors, smooth flow screen swipe, controls are very easy to use and are placed well on the console. Battery life is pretty good, I love how it connects with my Playstation 4 and I can use it paired with my PS4 to play Playstation games on my tv or PS Vita in a completely seperate room without loosing the motion of the game. So far I Love it Amazing item. I love it! September 6, 2017 I've had it for a few days now and I can tell you this is one awesome product. I enjoy playing it so much but I definitely recommend getting a PlayStation SD card because it only comes with 1gb of memory. It's enough to save a few game files but getting even a 8gb one is ideal. It got to my house almost the same day but their was a small issue with the delivery but nothing horrible. In the end I'm happy I purchased this item. Very Nice~ August 9, 2017 Super thin, I love that all the buttons are circles and not ovals, just very eye pleasing. It is super durable.Shipped quickly and arrived very fast. It's a really nice handheld to have with a great library of games March 22, 2017 Underrated console. It's a really nice handheld to have with a great library of games. Vita FAQ and Opinions August 10, 2016 I’ve read through all of the questions here on Amazon and there are some things that come up repeatedly. I’ll start with those things and then move on to my general impressions. I’ve owned the Vita for a few years now.HARDWARE VERSIONSThere are two versions of the Vita: new and old / Slim and Fat / 2000 and 1000 series… The slim (2000) has rounded edges and completely transparent shoulder buttons. Compare to the original (1000) which has sharper edges and dark tinted shoulder buttons. Just a quick way to tell them apart in pictures. The original had an OLED screen which is technically better quality, but used more battery life and was more expensive. The new model has an LCD screen, still sharp picture but maybe a little less contrast, but much improved battery life and also has 1 gig internal memory and uses standard micro usb to charge instead of a proprietary cord. From here on I’ll be only referring to the new model unless I state otherwise.MEMORYThere is 1 gig of memory onboard. This means it is built-in, not a card. Some sellers bundle the system with a memory card, others don’t; please read descriptions carefully or contact sellers if there is confusion. The 1 gig of onboard memory is sufficient if you will be playing mostly cartridge-based games as opposed to downloaded games. At some point though you may want to look into getting a Vita memory card. The best size to get is the biggest you can afford so that you limit the frequency of your having to swap out cards. 16 gigs should be plenty for the average person in my opinion. Memory cards will occasionally go on sale. 16 gigs can go down to about $20 on sale. They’re proprietary and different from standard SD cards. They are pricey compared to SD cards, but reliable.GAMES PRELOADED / BUNDLEDSome sellers are bundling the system with a game. Please check the description.Otherwise, no there are not really games pre-installed, just some tutorial type games.WiFiYou do not have to be connected to the internet to play Vita games. There are almost zero games that require that. An internet connection is needed for online play obviously. Buying games can be done over a PC or PS3 / PS4. Updates can be installed in a similar fashion. You do not have to pay to play online with the PS Vita. Similar to the PS3, online play is free. With PS4, you have to pay to play online. The service is called Playstation Plus. You do not have to pay to access the store. The store works like any other online apps store and is pre-installed on the Vita.PLAYSTATION NOW AND PLAYSTATION PLUSBoth are subscription services. They are separate things. Both sometimes have free trial periods.PSNow is a streaming game service. It’s like Netflix for games in a sense. The games are not fully installed on your system, they are streamed, meaning they would need a continuous internet connection. Note: as of now (March 2017) it seems that PS Now is no longer available for the Vita, nor for any platforms besides PS4 and PC.PSPlus is like Amazon Prime. It’s sort of a Premium Membership Program. It allows you to download and install certain games for free; the selection of games is updated regularly; you do not ‘own’ these games, but you can play them as much as you want as long as you are a PSPlus member. Members also get reduced prices on some games.REMOTE PLAYIf you have a PS4, you can basically use your PS4 remotely on your Vita. The PS4 does the hard work of rendering the game and it sends the image to your Vita’s screen. The Vita for it’s part sends your control inputs to the PS4. In effect you can play PS4 games on your Vita. This can be done at home on your home wifi network or it can be done over the internet--so if you’re somewhere else, and you’re connected to the internet on your Vita, your Vita can wake up your PS4 back home and control it from wherever you are.CROSS SAVEWith some games, you can share saves between a ps4 copy and a Vita copy of the same game.CROSS BUYSome ps4 games come with a Vita copy. Some Vita games come with a PS4 copy.WAYS TO GET GAMESBuy physical game cartridges that are made specifically for the Vita,Download games directly to Vita from the PS store,Download games from the PS store to a PS3/4 or PC and transfer to Vita,Stream games using Playstation Now.GAME TYPESPS Vita Games: Made for the Vita. Either in physical cartridge format or downloaded from the store. Some of these are available on other systems such as PS3, PS4, PC.PSP Games: Made for the PSP, but can be played on the Vita. They will need to be downloaded from the store. The Vita does not accept PSP cartridges, called UMDs.PS1 Games: Made for the PS1, but can be played on the Vita. They will need to be downloaded from the store. The Vita does not accept PS1 cds.SPECIAL NOTE: Indie GamesMany “Indie” games available on services like Steam are available on the Vita. If you don’t know what that means, I’ll say: There are a lot of games that are made by smaller game companies that are very popular with those who know about them, but are obscure compared to higher profile releases like Call of Duty or Pokemon. The catch-all term for these types of games (sometimes erroneously applied) is “Indie”. Some of the more popular of those games are available for Vita. Many people who love Indie games, buy a Vita for that reason alone.SPECIAL NOTE: JRPGs and Visual NovelsThere are a lot of these types of games. Many people who love JRPGs and/or Visual Novels, buy a Vita for this reason alone.REGIONSIt used to be that game systems were only able to play games that were of the same “region” (group of countries). This is not the case for the Vita. Some games from Japan for example might have no English text option, so that’s a separate issue, but the game will play. In this example, online play and dlc would require a Japanese Playstation account.NEW GAMES / THE FUTUREAs of my writing this (08/2016), Sony has stated that it is putting a hold on producing first party games for the Vita. This means that Sony itself will not be making new games, however many new games are on the horizon from third party companies: companies other than Sony itself. This is not a huge problem as many great games in Playstation’s past have come from third party companies, if not most. And even if new games were not coming, the existing content on offer is still large and diverse and it will be available at least in digital format through the online store for a very long time.PERSONAL NOTES (Opinions)I play the Vita in bed after the kids are down. I also take it on trips but I mostly play it at home. I have a PS3 and a powerful gaming PC that I use less than I use the Vita. It’s just a convenience factor and there’s just something hard to describe about the simple act of playing on a handheld instead of on a TV or computer monitor. The Vita has a marketing problem, always has. No one knows about it when a new game is released. On my Vita game wishlist I have about 70 games. On another list I have about 25 that are not released yet but are planned for this year or next. There are games out and there are games coming. The games will continue to be released with no fanfare / promotion, but they’re out there. Check the Playstation Store regularly for sales. Check Amazon for deals on physical cartridges and memory cards. Read websites like PocketGamer, Destructoid, or iPlayPSVita for news on upcoming games. Or simply Google “best Vita games” and see if any of those strike your fancy, then look them up in the aforementioned stores. Unfortunately, just going to Target will get you nowhere and don’t expect to be passively informed of new releases. The Vita feels great, looks great, it’s a solid dependable piece of hardware, currently priced attractively at $156. It has an enormous library of games and I prefer it to playing on a TV or monitor. Four Star Reviews: | 16% Overall very good, but does has some occasionally annoying controls. October 12, 2016 As a Uncharted fan, this game hits the spot. Overall, it is very good and pretty long. Has all the familiar mechanics of the console version. You can tell it isn't a Naughty Dog game due to some minor bugs and occasionally annoying controls. RECOMMENDED January 31, 2016 This is a must have game for the Vita. It takes 10 hours on Average to beat the game if you're playing on Normal. Also for those wondering if there is Multiplayer, there is no Multiplayer so its Single Player only. The game might not be as good as the first 3 but its still a top notch Uncharted game. The game does have an Uncharted: Drake's Fortune feel to it. Like i said this is a must have game for the Vita. Gorgeous graphics and a sexy main character. October 4, 2015 Really fun game with beautiful graphics. I used to have a Gameboy and loved the James Bond games, and this game kind of reminds me of them. I'm a chick who doesn't usually like games with guns and violence, I'm more of a Little Big Planet kind of gal. But this is really fun. The Reason to own a PS Vita. January 6, 2013 I bought this game when the Vita launched in the US back in Feb 2012.Graphics: The graphics in the game are the best for a handheld. The game looks about as good as the original Uncharted on ps3. Textures are clear and the character models and animation are top notch.Gameplay: Golden Abyss is a standard 3rd person action game. You jump, shoot and solve puzzles. The game also adds Vita specific functions like touchscreen use and motion control.Story: The story is a typical Nathan Drake adventure. I found the story to be weaker then the Uncharted's on PS3 but its not terrible by any means.Length/Extras: With 34 chapters and trophy support there is plenty to do in the game. I beat the game on normal in about 7-8 hours.Uncharted Golden Abyss is the best reason to own a Vita. Review perspective from someone new to both the Uncharted franchise and the Vita June 12, 2012 As a little background, I have not owned a portable gaming console since the original gameboy. I do heavily game on home consoles though (mostly PS3). I have also never played any of the Uncharted series (I hope to pick up the PS3 Uncharted's soon). For those completely unfamiliar with this game or the Uncharted series, think of these as the quintessential Indiana Jones video game experience. You have action, humor, exploration, and more. Your gametime will be split between: exploration (although very linear most of the time), shooting bad guys, light puzzle solving (if you are looking for Portal 2 or Braid type puzzles look elsewhere), and witty dialogue. The game is divided up into Chapters, but the chapters transition seamlessly to one another (for example, you may be running down a path and on screen it will tell you that are you starting a new chapter)The game in my opinion is quite a technical feat. It is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the gameplay never really quite matches the technical wondery of the game and the use of the Vita's touch functions is a little heavy handed. Here is a summary of my thoughts on the game:The Good:- Amazing graphics on a handheld. Seriously, this game floored me with its visuals- The dialogue is humorous (It is my understanding that general opinion is that the PS3 Uncharteds have better stories though)- Decent variety of gameplay. Controls well. (note: dont forget, physically moving the vita moves your aiming reticle when you are in shooting mode! I forgot that and was wondering why my reticle was moving all over the place)- Some touch screen controls implemented well, such as throwing grenadesThe Bad:- Way too much forced use of the Vita's functions. Balancing on a log every single time you cross one is annoying (the way it is scripted...would have been better if it happened more "naturally"). Having to "wipe" artifacts clean of dirt is tremendously annoying and is just busy work. Etc.- I personally found the climbing sections to be dreadfully boringThe Ugly:- There is a part of the game where to read a hidden message on a piece of paper you literally have to hold your vita up to a very bright light (I had to hold it inches away from a lamp bulb). This is forced and you can't avoid it. Why is it bad? Because I, and potentially many other people, play my vita mostly in bed before I go to sleep!! I didnt want to wake my wife up so I had to get out of bed and go to a different room to turn the lights on. Imagine being on a red-eye airplane flight and having to turn on the lights to play, etc. Conclusion:A solid B+ (rounded to 4 stars) Vita game that is sometimes a little too focused on silly touch implementations. I would recommend it to most. | 27% Kinda Socomey... in the good and bad way July 23, 2017 Here's the thing... if you were into Socom back in the day, then you'll most likely kind of dig this game. Because it kind of reminds you of Socom 2 a bit... but then again, it reminds you of Socom 4... *shivers... vomits in mouth* sorry... yeah. It's one of those "things" but, any Socomer worth their salt will give this one a go, it's pretty solid for a mobile shooter, controls quite well (and i'm a PC guy these days) so that means a lot lol. Missions are well... mission based. You deploy into a fairly generic area and kill generic bad guys, good time waster during lunch... or when you're trying to pull one over on the old man for docking your overtime because he's a flaming _____! Yeah that's right Tom! I'm saving the world from terrorism, ON YOUR DIME SUCKER! Overlooked Shooter of the Vita November 15, 2015 This is a very fun, portable shooter game. It's premise and gameplay are nothing revolutionary but that doesn't mean its bad. The overall experience is very well tailored to playing on the go and most encounters and maps seem to consider the limitations of the platform so things don't become unfair. The one negative thing I can think of is that there are only around 6-8 levels with different objectives for each. If the levels had more areas or more diversity it would feel a little less stale halfway through the game.An overlooked and very fun game on Vita you can pick up for the price of a downloadable title. a hidden gem January 4, 2015 I originally bought this game to bolster my vita library it was cheap, and a genre I rather like, but I didn't expect much, saying that it was well worth the purchase. It is set up in a series of smallest scenarios (tailoring itself for mobile gamers) but has tigh controls, great graphics and is an excellent balance of first person shooting and mobile gaming. Its not quite call of duty, nor is it trying to be and that is a good thing. Good Call Of Duty/Battlefield/Gears Of War Clone game But Entertaining Overall December 7, 2013 A good TPS but overall nothing really too original about the game we haven't seen or done with previous games like COD/BF/GOW and other FPS/TPS games still at the end it does give the player what you bought the game for, and entertaining and fun time playing the game though the game play is obviously shorter then a console version would be. Great PS Vita title April 30, 2012 I like how this game (on most maps) allows for multiple ways to approach an objective. I can't remember if the old Socom FTB games were like this at all, I just remember that those old title seemed highly linear (though still enjoyable). I won't say it's fully open world; it's that each objective step usually allows for multiple ways of entry. You can also opt to go stealthy (which the game rewards) or going all in and killing everything in sight. There are no bonuses for the mid-way approach of neutralizing some targets and then later sparing others. If you have played those old Socom games, this title is like a further iteration of that series. It's good that the game allows people to customize how they want to play a bit, ranging from the characters with different specialties (one guy is the stealth guy, one guy is the all-out assault guy, another is the shotgun guy, etc). Plus you can switch from firing your weapon in third person or utilize a first person perspective just like in Battlefield or COD. There's a lot of replay value here b/c each of the characters is attached to a particular unlockable that opens up for all the other characters. For example, leveling up the stealth guy up to lvl 4 opens up the assault rifle suppressor for everybody else, etc. Plus there's the replay value of trying to get better times online, or mostly just focusing in on gathering stars to open up the High Value Target missions.Playing the game is...extremely addictive, esp. with those of us with OCD (lol, including yours truly). You will WANT to keep playing until you win the mission, which is what makes the game hard to put down. This is in part to some of the slightly broken mechanics, luckily the game is fun enough that most people will overlook the following shortcomings:1) There are certain enemy types (I like to refer to these guys as the "guys with the chambray shirts"), who will just straight up rush at you. It depends on how you are positioned with their line-of-sight, but anyhow, in most cases, they will recklessly rush you. The terrorists must be paying these guys and their families really, really well. The frustrating part comes if you're using a weapon that you either can hold down and fire full-auto or is otherwise relatively weak (mp5 is notably less powerful than in other games like COD4). They move around too quickly and then will insta-kill you in one shot as they flank around the corner, you being unable to quickly turn to attach them. There are even times when I'd have the drop on them, and they'd still manage to fire off a single round as whipped around the corner, ending my mission.Worse yet, even in yellow status (indicated they've know you're lurking around supposedly don't know where you are), they'll still make a beeline for your location. This ends up making them the bane of a couple CQB maps in this game.2) I've lost count, but it's worth noting that there's quite a bit of map recycling for different missions. There are a total of 36 missions, but I'm guessing off the bat there are only about 18 maps. But the maps are so different and well-done that it's not a dealbreaker. Some of the doors are locked, while open in other missions, and some maps might have you moving from point B to point A instead of the original point A to point B. Just mentioning this since this might irritate some.3) Some of the shooting from cover can get a bit wonky. There'd be times in fierce firefights where I sometimes couldn't pop out of cover to fire b/c I needed to scoot to the far extreme edge of the cover. Other times, I'd pop out of cover, only to find my reticle pointing uselessly into the edge the piece of cover I was hiding behind. I'd thus have to disengage clinging to cover in order to fire properly.4) Like other 3rd person shooters, the cover mechanic of being locked onto a particular piece can get ugly, as oftentimes the guys mentioned in (1) will rush you and being stuck to cover, certainly doesn't help to take them down. That pretty means they must be shot before they get too close, it takes too long to disengage cover and swing the knife when they are close. In a piece of laughable "suspension of disbelief", there'll be times where it looks like you're concealed, thought not sticking to cover, only to get discovered by the enemy, and conversely, there'll be times when you're in cover and your head or weapon barrel is blatantly sticking out, and the enemy still won't see you at all. The A.I. is serviceable though not very smart in that regard.5) The "High Value Target" missions don't have checkpoints. That's a design choice I understand, but there should've been an option to have checkpoints for these, as they tend to be the longer missions, and repeating them 3+ times over until completed seems like a big time waster (which is OK, I had fun).6) Like "Pursuit Force" on the PSP, the timed missions (a game type I absolutely hate b/c it usually involves rote trial-and-error practice to complete) have relatively tight time limits. Worse, even if you finish the objective, you still have to race to the finish line, which isn't always easy to find the first-time thru. Luckily, this mode does have checkpoints at each objective. I was so glad to finish these off first and out of the way. They can be exhilarating, but at least one of them I had to play 10x over b/c I kept screwing up. I think I was tired and should've quit while I was ahead.Anyhow, if I think of anything else to add, I'll edit this later. But this game is definitely a must-buy aside from the quibbles above. | 12% No Memory Card May 22, 2017 The product itself is great. It's a nice sleek design, it's light, portable, but the only problem (and why I'm marking it down one star) is that it does NOT include a memory card. Be sure to buy one with your purchase of the console! This has been a great game device for my husband April 12, 2017 This has been a great game device for my husband. He's gone through 3 Vitas because of wearing out the control toggles. Feels like a premium product but the only thing I had ... November 15, 2016 Just what I needed! I had a psp in the earlier years and missed out on the psgo and the vita. Here I am now with a ps4 and decided to buy a vita for the remote play feature. Everything works to perfection. Feels like a premium product but the only thing I had a little struggle was with the remote play. If ps4 not connected to ethernet cable it will run really slow and in some cases games will be unplayable other than that perfect. I like it, it's light February 20, 2016 I like it, it's light, the display is nice like a smartphone, remote access to my PS4 works wonderfully, I'm waiting for my 64 Gb memory card. The worst of this device is the camera quality, both cameras suck, but hey, it could have no cameras at all, so, all in all that's fine. The speakers don't sound as good as I had hoped for. If you use a headset it will sound much better. I'm having trouble getting used to the triggers, I find them too shaky. Overall I recommend it. Vita August 5, 2015 Game does not come with a memory card which are very expensive as well. System doesn't have many games for little girls to play either. System size is good, charges last long | 20% There are no reviews yet | 12% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 5% I'm sure it seemed better when it was released with the original vita but ... February 9, 2015 Game was okay, I'm sure it seemed better when it was released with the original vita but it was very boring and tried to implement too many of the new features of the vita like the back touch panel and the touch screen (which are really annoying) It's ok April 27, 2013 Rating by my 10 year old son: The controls are kind of funny and hard to get used to compared to the PS3 version. Good, not great February 22, 2013 Storyline is good. Gameplay gets repetative. Still it will entertain you for 5-10 hours. Not sure it is worth the money. Intriguing! January 3, 2013 My son wasn't sure about this game because he didn't ask for it. Now that he has been playing it for a couple of weeks, he really likes it! I think he enjoys a break from all the killing zombies games. | 6% is a good game, but is a shooter without an specific ... December 6, 2014 is a good game, but is a shooter without an specific history you only move to a mission to another one, and that is it, not is a really big deal Unit 13 is just alright May 17, 2014 Not a bad game, lower level graphics and a bit difficult to get the hang of at first. Have not tested multiplayer mode yet. Great game December 29, 2013 I really like this game. Very fun to play the mission are longer then I expected which makes the game more fun. Its Ok December 19, 2013 I like shooters , just recently I got into shooters and now I love them . At first I thought this game was going to have a story mode but it actually does not have a story mode instead you get a bunch of missions you can do and clear them to move on to the next mission and you can choose from different characters . SO there is no story mode but a bunch of mission . Game play is fun and . its an ok game . almost "Call of Duty"...But noone is ever co-oping. August 29, 2013 I think this is one of the best hand held games yet. But then again, I love the Lego games. Worth the 9 dollars I spent on it. Free shipping of course. | 5% only issue the dealer vague representation of the device ver. though picture suggest US Ver, June 21, 2017 the product was not US region natively it was Asian version. PCH-2006. though you normally can play with it as it has no region lock with US account, the issue here the device delivered was not US ver. but an Asian Ver. Three Stars April 13, 2017 Item in decent condition. Wasn't mentioned that it did or didn't come with a charger. Mine did not. Not a fan of the overpriced proprietary memory needed to enjoy the system. January 6, 2017 Really wanted to like this console. The games are beautiful, the screen is awesome and most gameplay is fun. The biggest issue i have is that the memory is proprietary and the games are so big you have to either switch games out all the time or buy more memory cards. That sux. I regret it October 13, 2016 Its alright I guess. I bought it for them sweet vita exclusive japanese games but sadly they have started porting them to PC on Steam so I'm like damn I didn't need this after all. Also the Crash and Spyro ps1 classics are not available for the vita in the ps store which made me mad. Overall I regret buying it. Bad signal August 7, 2016 Bought for the remote play capability only and it dosnt work good drops signal even 10 ft away and no good games for the vita it's self | 15% There are no reviews yet | 8% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 3% Not worth the price of a mcdonalds icecream cone February 2, 2017 This game is 5 years old. Do not buy. There is a reason they canceled the sequel. I love Uncharted 1&2 (3 sucks) and I was hoping the ... June 11, 2015 I honestly bought a Vita for this game. I love Uncharted 1&2 (3 sucks) and I was hoping the Vita version would be just as good. I found it a let down compared to the first two games in the series. Sure, it had it's good moments. Nate's as awesome as ever. But the storyline was like that of Uncharted 3 - boring and it didn't drag you in like the first two. With the first two, they were so interesting I would play for hours without noticing how much time had gone by. With this one, it was more like 'I'm bored with everything else, might as well play this for a bit.' While it does have some interesting new things for the Vita, like charcoal rubbings and picture puzzles, overall I found it a let down. Touch screen is not very accurate August 14, 2013 The storyline is very good and the graphics are exceptional for a portable gaming system. However, I found the touch screen sensitive parts of the game to be inaccurate. I realize that this is new technology, but they still have a ways to go before it is considered perfected. Vita Advertisment? (Game Breaking Glitch!!) January 21, 2013 Edit: Game Breaking Glitch. Reduced my review from 3 to 2 stars. I wanted to go through the game again to try to find more of the collectibles, but because I've already finished the plot collectibles the game wont have me pick them up again, which mean I simply get stuck where I'm standing unable to progress any further. I then have to kill myself, reload, and it will sometimes, let me progress to the next collecable i can't pick up. This happened in the first Chapter!Original review Below:The games not bad, and if i hadn't played the PS3 versions I would probably be nicer. That said, the game feels like a very expensive vita advertisement. The story is OK, nothing special, but does the trick and keeps the game going forward. The problem is all the writing and game play stuff feels like its simply implemented to make sure the Vita new Tech is being used. The end result is a ton of mini games that make what I consider on the PS3 to be a nice mature game, to be dumbed down to quicktime events and little kid puzzles. The Good:*Graphics look really nice.*Voice acting is as good as always*The jumping/climbing fun that is expected is there.Bad:*Vita specific mini games that take you out of the game all the time.*Difficulty Spikes that feel like sloppy planning rather then a challenge.*No real boss fights, and the only two fights that exist are Quicktime events!!!*Rope climbing is designed to use the vita touch back screen but it's wonky, so they also put in normal button as well. end result you just go up and down on the rope for a while. The Blah:*Puzzles: which are more like rub this or line this picture up so it looks nice. Not horrible for a few of them, but you do it for the whole game. it gets a bit repetitive.* The story, if drake and Sulli weren't in the game, I wouldn't have cared for any of them.*The Camera during the climbing parts is stiff, where's the "Oh S***" parts that the PS3 counter parts have. Conclusion:because the Vita is currently lacking in games its worth it for about 20 or so. I do want to conclude that it's fun to see what the Vita can physically do, i just wish it wasn't forced upon you, but rather the natural choice. Heavy Rain a quicktime only game feels right because each action that you do seems like a form of what the characters are actual doing on screen, but these quicktime events feel more like 'look what the vita can do,' rather then having any real purpose. | 3% Maybe preowned? August 30, 2015 Online game code that came with the game was used already with a brand new game and worse of all once your enemy come very close to ... August 23, 2014 Game is most of the time way too hard and doesn't let you chose difficulty level. The character is extremely slow to town around 180, and worse of all once your enemy come very close to attack, it's almost impossible to see where he is and to aim at him.The game could have used some fun sniper mission. And lame of the lame, once you complete the 10 first mission, the 30 left are just variations of the first 10 and in the exact decor / rooms.Unless like I did you got it for less than 8 bucks do not buy it, it really sucks. ok game but gets old February 4, 2013 nice pick it up and shoot em up game. It gets old quickly . No story line. I would not recommend it for anyone. Its socom on a hand held. (not as good) great game... if it actually worked with the vita! March 10, 2012 I downloaded the demo, and was also excited for the game to come out because it seemed awesome. However, not even an hour into playing this game, it decided to freeze my vita forcing a hard restart. The first tell tale sign was when the sound suddenly stopped. The second was when it froze on a black screen right after i completed a mission or tried to go to the games menu screen. The third and final sign was the busy screen I was brought to when i tried to restart my system. This forced me to have to hold the power button down for about 30 seconds until the reboot menu came up. The gameplay is really great, but its hard to get into the game when you have to restart your system anytime you want to play. There have been many other people that have had this issue, so don't believe the reviews of these other jokers. Zipper Interactive needs to step up and get a patch already! Otherwise this is going to turn into another failed game by them.. | 3% PS Vita Slim disappointing while playing. May 14, 2017 The PS Vita freezes while playing. Need to hold the power button to switch off and play again from start.Searching on the web is a disaster.Sometimes it does not turn on takes time keeps on searching. There is a problem with charging. Bought a used one and sent mine in for a refund because I received the older version (PCH 1000) when they are advertising PS vit April 28, 2017 Bought a used one and sent mine in for a refund because I received the older version (PCH 1000) when they are advertising PS vita slim. Quality of the item was good though, just not what I wanted. Dont buy from amazon warehouse February 11, 2017 No memory card, broken charger and a sizable scratch on the screen that was not described in the listing. Really fills me with confidence for next time I look at Amazon warehouse deals. Wrong style plug. February 8, 2017 I live in America i received this yesterday and it came with a European style plug. Other than having to buy the right plug it works great. I didnt receive any memory card when i was reading ... August 14, 2016 I didnt receive any memory card when i was reading the reviews and when i did a research everybody receive an external memory card ... Not in my case Fantastic Console Hindered by Bad Pixel August 3, 2015 The hardware is phenomenal considering what you pay for it! However also considering what you pay for it, I expect it to be flawless and my unit seemed to ship with a very annoying stuck pixel near the center that I just can't get to disappear. I would order a replacement but having to wait a month for that to happen is just too long so I quickly cancelled the replacement. I can't seem to get the maker of the device to comment on what to do either (I'm not sure 1 pixel is covered under warranty). I will just have to deal with the stuck pixel for the life of the device and hope it goes away. I seem to have this kind of luck with these things lately. I typically avoid consoles with screens due to the chance of having stuck pixels, but this is something I just had to have unfortunately, and I paid the price. | 7% There are no reviews yet | 1% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 3% and lean all the "supper cool things we did with all the supper cool controls ... April 30, 2017 Got this today at game stop. after a run and follow this guys for an hour, and lean all the "supper cool things we did with all the supper cool controls on the vita" it cuts to a very long video to give a very long exposition, got board and took the game out going to be returning it tomorrow.Seems the game is just a "look how cool the controls and video on the vita are" demo. Impossible controls. Not worth the time to learn. October 12, 2016 Difficult controls. Way too much going on to learn effectively. After a half an hour of dying over and over during the TUTORIAL because aiming is more or less impossible, this was torn out of my vita and will be going back to Gamestop tomorrow. | 3% USED/DEFECTIVE CODE September 13, 2015 Thanks to the dimwit who sent me a used/defective code. Ripoff. 90% of the fun of this game is online trying to beat your friends' scores on missions. Royally displeased. Be careful when ordering. Expires Online Activation Code July 9, 2015 Purchased this game on 7 July 2015.Received it 8 July 2015. Online Activation Code was "Invalid".Requested a replacement from Amazon, received it 9 July 2015. Again, online Activation Code was "Invalid".After contacting Playstation Network Support, they reported the activation codes expired 31 March 2015. Would-be fun game. Crashes your Vita March 23, 2012 The Gameplay is quite fun, controls are good. I really enjoyed the demo. However, much like another user mentioned, it crashes my Vita every time I play it. It's been sitting in its case since I bought it, I don't feel like corrupting the file system of my Vita.Lots of other users have experienced the same thing: [...]Was hoping a fix would be issued to fix this, but it's been over 2 weeks now, and nothing. Official word from the developer is "we're looking into it". That's not good enough for me, so I'm returning it for being defective.Don't bother trying to contact Sony either. Their service desk ignored the evidence of multiple users having the same issue, and provided me a bunch of troubleshooting steps for the Vita, with the final step being return my Vita to them for repair. When multiple people are experiencing the same issue, it points at either 1) hardware defect on the Vita or 2) software defect with the game. Since no other games have crashed my Vita, it's pretty Fing apparent that it's the game. Way to ignore basic evidence, morons. | 6% Japan version October 11, 2017 The unit I received is the Japan import, the x and o buttons work differently than US version. Be aware. Bad experience October 7, 2017 Horrible experience, sent me a Japanese model of the Vita with a AC adapter I cannot even use here on any of my power outlets in the USA, a waste of my time to send back and wait for a replacement, if the product is Japanese do not advertise it as us verison, thanks!! OBVIOUSLY USED AND MISSING PARTS October 4, 2017 Extremely irritated. I paid for a NEW product, but what arrived is very obviously used—refurbished at best. First thing I noticed was the worn out and dirty box. The seals had been cut and it was easily opened right up. Inside the vita itself was wrapped with bubble wrap and has scratches all over the back panel. The box only came with HALF of a charging cable. It’s missing the USB end, the most important part! There was also no user manual. I cannot even charge this to turn it on and tell you if it even works!I clearly paid $200 for something worth $100... The worst part is that I’m overseas and can’t just send it back... Way to go Sony... Don't buy it May 14, 2017 Turned on the device for first time and can see a dead pixel on the screen. I would not recommend. Screen damaged February 14, 2017 Box came undamaged but screen is crap. System is unusable in this condition. | 4% There are no reviews yet | 2% There are no reviews yet |
