Great smaller iron and easier to mail at Christmas time ...
August 29, 2017
Have older models of Palmer Pizzelle Irons and wanted to update. The three round iron will make mailing Pizzelle cookies easier to pack for family and friends. I prefer the uncoated irons as they are easier to clean and cook evener. Great smaller iron and easier to mail at Christmas time or Easter.
Great appliance.

If you make Pinellas this is a must have. Awesome for entertainment and even occasionally baking. It has all the benefits of the old time with new technology.
great Pizzele iron
January 7, 2014
We have had a Palmer pizzele iron that makes 2 for generations. This one is great for making smaller pizzels.
Great product
December 26, 2013
Heavy duty construction and a very quality product.Loved making pizzelles with my daughter at Christmas this year. Old school feel! This will become an heirloom that will be handed down for generations for us. Our only challenge was the pizzelle recipe in the pamphlet was not a great one to follow. I will recommend this product (and have already) to many friends.
Palmer 3 Round Pizzelle Iron

I bought this as a gift. They have used other Irons and consider this one by far superior. They have had unpleasant results from some other units.
the real thing
January 11, 2011
This is the one to buy :my old pizelle iron from the early 70,s has been used for years without fail. this year it burned out and I replaced it with this product.this new iron has the same sturdy construction as the old school versions. it looks like it will last 30 + years like the old one did . DO NOT be fooled by the "made in China-no stick versions you can run to the local mall and buy for 40.00 dollars ...they will not last...Anyone who has made pizelle before knows you don't need a no- stick coating as found on the newer models .Great Made In U.S.A productBill Schaefer

can't wait to get cooking
April 17, 2017
I haven't had a chance to use this yet, but it arrived safely, no damage, on time and once opened seems well made and sturdy. Excited to make the pizzelles my grandmother used to bring me every time she visited as a kid. Came with clear directions for use and care and a few recipes, too.
Pizzel Maker
March 14, 2017
I like the new Pizzel maker but it makes them a lot thicker than what I'm used to. Plus it doesn't brown them like it should. Its ok but I don't think I'd order this brand again.
If you're on the fence....buy it, you won't regret it.
December 16, 2016
Wow, I can't praise this enough. I've been making Pizzelles for more years than I would care to admit and this has been such a delight to use. It is perfectly heated, evenly heated and makes two at a time in well under a minute! The locking lid makes them all come out the same thickness which is fantastic. The only thing I would warn you about is that it gets VERY hot on the outside and you should keep this away from children to avoid burns. Great product!
Excellent Pizelle Maker - Highly Recommend
June 19, 2016
Love this Pizelle maker, works beautifully! Highly recommend to any other Pizzelle lovers, they are so versatile! You can use them as cookies, decorate them for parties, mold them into little bowls, canolli shells, ice cream cups or cones. Just wonderful!
Happy Baking!
June 7, 2016
Fantastic! I was reluctant to purchase a new pizzelle maker, the old one still worked after 20 years and I was very satisfied with it but I'm so glad I did. The first batch was perfect and so easy to make. Used my own recipe with no issues, instructions were clear. Easy to figure out baking time once you get the thickness of your liking.
Excellent Pizzelle Maker

I chose the Chef's Choice Express Bake based on the great reviews I read before making my decision on which one to buy. The price is moderate, and I hoped all the glowing reviews would be true. They were. Our very first batch was perfect, and it only took a couple to fine tune the amount of time needed for each baking cycle. We do not use the classic recipes as my husband has cancer and we must be very careful of refined flours and heat damaged fats. Bryanna Clark Grogan published a Pizzelle Cracker recipe on her site, which prompted me to buy this, so my husband could have crackers again. They turned out perfect on the first try! Whole grains, olive oil, nut milk, salt and baking powder-very clean and healthy! This is so much easier than making crackers in the oven and trying to roll out the dough to consistant thickness. We did find it necessary to let them crisp in the oven at 170 for 15-18 min. They then stay fresh and crisp until finished. The crackers take 1 minute to bake, then toward the end, I cut it to 50 seconds, as it seems the iron gets a little hotter as it is used.I try to keep these crackers on hand a good deal of the time, as they are excellent with soup, as a snack spread with all fruit jam or organic apple butter, or just plain. We also use Bryanna's recipe for the sweeter cookie type; I use coconut oil in those, and half whole wheat flour. Again, perfect, delicious and healthier than most cookies. These take about 40 seconds at the beginning and then we cut it to 30, and then to 25 toward the end. We have flavored these with vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg-delicious. I now have some anise oil and will try a batch with that soon. We find them absolutely delicious spread with a thin layer of whipped cream (We use coconut whipped cream) and drizzeled with a little chocolate for a special treat.I would buy this again, and would also give it as a gift to anyone wanting to to do this kind of cooking. I highly recommend it for moderate price and great performance.

Machine is very basic, but my first attempt worked out fine. Recipes that came with it are for very large quantities (12 eggs - yikes!) I used a recipe from a friend (3 eggs) that worked well and was delicious.
very happy with my Palmer

January 19, 2017
Did a good job and the Butter recipe included in the manual was a big hit with the Christmas Cookie Exchange.
Hot stuff
January 2, 2017
Love it. Good quality. However, I wish it had a temp. Setting. It is very hot and cooks so fast. I have to remove the pizelles quickly or they ovecook.
Good but not great
July 9, 2016
I love pizzelle and they are a family tradition at Christmas at our house. These bake fast, and therefore sometimes the inside is not quite done (I use my own recipe) . However, that stops no one from eating them in mass quantities. Also they are smaller.
Works good! There is a light on it
December 28, 2015
Works good! There is a light on it, however it is not really so much an indication of when your item is done. You really have to gauge and count your seconds. other than that, I like it and it cleans up nicely.
Chef's Choice 834 Pizzelle Pro Express Bake

The first Pizzelle Pro we received was defective. during our first batch of pizzelles the plastic locks snapped off and broke. we exchanged it for another and it works very well. Pizzelles and cannolis are wonderful and crispy.
PJ's Pizzelles and Cannoli
August 15, 2013
Very easy to use and after some experimenting with the portion of mix it went really fast. When removing pizzelle from iron you do need to take some care, but with a plastic spatula the rounds came out without any tears. Happy with the outcome.

Directions Suck!
December 16, 2014
Best Pizzelle Iron I have ever used. However the instruction booklet that came with it is terrible. The recipes are all referenced for other models snd don't even mention this particular model. Very disappointed with this issue.Update 12/19/14: I finally made some pizzelles with this iron and I am very disappointed. Did a lousy job baking the pizzelles. it's hard to tell when they are done, so each one is either over cooked or under cooked. Based on this I am downgrading my revie to 1 star!
3-pizzelle iron
May 25, 2013
Was disappointed it did not have indicator light. The 3 pizzelle iron had small indentations so cookies were too thin. I had hard time keeping dough from sticking. I was pleased it was made in USA. The company responded to my complaints very quickly and tried to resolve problem.

Just sharing--- if you purchase this item please be aware that it runs hot and there is no temperature adjustment. However, once you get the hang of it you'll be fine but if there is one with an adjustable temperature knob I would buy that one instead.

It is okay. Wish they had a timer on it. You have to watch the clock or they will be too well done.

Not too happy with the thinness of the waffle. I would've preferred a thicker consistency.
Nice but gets too Hot
December 27, 2014
I have only used this pizzelle maker once so far. So far not real happy. The maker gets too Hot. I have been making pizzelles for 35+ years so I am very experienced making. I cooked the cookies to the color I like them and the cookies were not cooked through and did not get crisp. I haven't had time to try again. I may have to cook them to a darker color than I'm used too. I bought this brand because it was recommended by my sister. Her's does not have the non stick coating, I don't know if that has anything to do with the temperature. I gave it a 3 because of the temperature issue. I do like the latching feature and ready light.
Pizzelle ratilng
December 19, 2012
I like it but it seems to cook to fast. My pizzelles are cooked but in the directions it says about 20 seconds mine are done probably in 10. I'am going to call the maker to see if there is something wrong with it. Everyone llikes the pizzelles but it brothers me that they are done so fast.
JUST OK
January 20, 2012
I just received the machine and am disappointed. It heats up fast and cleans very easily. I have had a Palmer machine for over 20 years and it just died, so I bought this brand. The pizzelles cook in approx 20 seconds, but they are not crispy and rather rubbery. I cannot blame humidity since it is a cold January evening. I have always used the same recipe, so I am wondering if a different recipe would yield different results. I hope so, since everything else is great about the machine. It is nice to have a non stick surface.

not like my old machine
October 25, 2016
not like my old machine. this one does not make an even cookie when you play the batter in the correct position. grand children prefer the oldlook of the completed cookie.
Defective vs just too darn fast.
May 27, 2016
This pizzelle maker was purchased to replace a Villa brand that died. What I wouldn't give for the "Done" signal light and a lower cooking temperature from my former pizzelle maker!! . A spoon of dough from my regular recipe turns BLACK in less that 30 seconds and there is no way to regulate the heat. The high temperature has resulted in a lot of product loss, much to my husband's delight... he looks forward to the rejects. It's now just over a year and I've made 6 batches of more than 100 pizzelles... each time the cooking speed shortens and I get more burned ones. This last time the handle exterior burned my fingers it was so hot. I'm writing the company to see if I have a lemon.

This product does not make your puzzles crispy- i find them to come out soggy. I am using the same recipe i've used for years and I've tried other recipes (you can't deviate that much from a basic pizzelle recipe) and found the same result.

I made several batches for holiday, but latch/lock is made of plastic & snapped off. I was able to still make batch & otherwise it worked well.
no instructions, no recipes, & too quick!
August 17, 2011
My former pizzelle iron has a flimsy latch system. Therefore, I did some research and decided to purchase this model. This is the first model that I have owned that is not Italian-made, so it was a leap of faith for me.Design and sturdiness is fine. However, every kitchen appliance I have ever had came with instructions, and, recipes, if appropriate. I was very surprised that this boxed item had neither.I have made pizzelles for over 35 years, have many recipes and lots of experience, so I did not need instructions or recipes............but a novice would need to know how to clean it, what to expect, and if particular recipes and ingredients and amounts were better than others.............the novice wouldn't have a clue as to what to do, which is sad.AMENDED COMMENT DECEMBER 22, 2011This iron bakes too quickly for me. I'm not having good luck moving fast enough, and despite being disappointed in the other pizzelle iron, I am going back to that model. Got to cut my losses and go with what I know. Thank you.

Save your money
June 13, 2016
I bought this product after reading other reviews. Boy was I disappointed! It never got hot enough to cook the cookies correctly. I have been making pizelles for 50 years and this is the worse iron I have ever purchased. I have thrown this product away (not even good enough for recycle) and ordered a new one. Arriving tomorrow. Don't waste your money on this one.
I hope I will like it as well

834 Pizzelle Pro Express Bake
February 15, 2014
I have not had time to use this until today. Is this a USED product? It baked two pizzelles and then it stopped working. Is that why I got $26.98 credit?I either want my money refunded or send me a NEW one.I have never had a problem with anything I have ordered in the past and I am very disappointed in this product.
After approx 10 uses in 4 months plastic latch breaks and won't stay closed while baking
February 1, 2014
I used the pizzelle maker approx 10 times in the 4 months I have had it and the plastic latch to hold it closed while baking completely broke off. Pizzelles leave off a lot of steam when cooking and when the steam built up too much it would pop open sometimes and you would have to close it again. Well this happened one too many times and the plastic latch broke completely off the unit. Now the only way to use it is you have to hold it closed the whole time while it is making the pizzelles which is very inconvenient and you also get thicker pizzelles without the latch. Obviously a bad design and using cheap plastic for the latches that can't handle the heat from the unit or the steam the cookies leave off.
Doesn't perform.
September 4, 2013
Needs temp adjustment, not looking at the Pizzelle to see if they are done.Didn't not cook evenly and the two didn't match cooking time. I return unit and using the same brand and it is significantly better
soggy cookies
December 19, 2012
I've made pizzelles every year for Christmas for 35 years and this year my pizzelle iron imploded. This iron does heat up very fast but because there is no temp control the cookies brown before they get crispy. Soggy pizzels are not what you look for with these cookies. Now I have to admit that I didn't think that anything would go wrong and promptly threw out the box and all the paper work so it's tuff luck for me; but just wanted to give a heads up on the problems I had-it's possible that it's a fluk but who knows.
