| Well worth the money.September 8, 2017 Good kit for the money. I used it to replace the brake fluid on my Harley. Worked really well without issue. Only issue is none of the fittings worked on the bleeder screw, so I just attached the hose to the end of the bleeder screw. However to get a strong vacuum you have to use the right depth of stroke, not too shallow, not too deep: the gaskets leak at the beginning and end of the cylinder. Good tool, not the best way to bleed brakesSeptember 28, 2014 This seems to be a quality tool. I didn't have any issues other people reported. I found the nut holding the plunger on to be tight and it stayed put. The tube and catch jar held a great seal with no loss of pressure.
The problem I did run into is that this isn't really the best way to bleed brakes. The theory is sound, attach the tubing to the bleeder valve on a disc brake caliper, pump up the vacuum a bit, crack the bleeder valve and watch the brake fluid get sucked through the tubing. In reality, I ran into an approximately 50% chance that the vacuum would suck air around the threads of the bleeder screw instead of sucking brake fluid out. I've heard other people suggest putting Teflon tape on the threads of the bleeder valves or gobbing grease around the bleeder valves to stop air leaking around the threads. I don't really like those ideas. Instead, I found the the tubing and catch jar attached to the bleeder valves work great with forcing the brake fluid out by pumping the brake pedal.
It might be useful for other automotive bleeding operations or various other vacuum related uses, but I would recommend researching other options to bleed brakes or flush brake fluid. I had to make two repairs to this pump the very first time I used it. Two different screws came loose and fell off. One was actually a plastic screw which I promptly replaced with a metal screw and secured with lock-tight brand sealant. The other was a metal nut which I also secured with lock-tight. Otherwise it is a very high quality device which I expect to perform very well for many years. For $24 . it may be worth it, but it is typically roughly designed, loosely assembled , Chinese stuff. It creates a vacuum no better or faster than the mighty-vac, and the mighty-vac is far better design and assembly and function. Now I have to look for a nut that fits exactly otherwise there's nothing to allow the handle to pull the plunger back. It looked like 6/32 but that's too small. Will have to go to the hardware store to look for metric. What a pain.

Pulls only about 23mmHg. Bought after reading some positive reviews. Not a very expensive piece of kit, for sure, but obviously poor quality control. The pump developed vacuum? but the included attachments for the bleeder screw did not provide a seal. There was a lot of air bubbles that leaked around the fitting making it impossible to see when I was one bleeding. I tried to put the hose directly on the bleeder, but with the same result.
