Seems to be a top of the line convection oven, the toaster gives perfect toast and the oven works very well and I have enjoyed pizza, garlic bread, hot dogs, and other foods. Cools off faster than normal oven keeping the kitchen from getting hot. Easy to clean and I am very glad I bought it.
One Hell Of An Oven!...
February 19, 2017
Purchased this BLACK AND DECKER TOASTER OVEN to replace our old one. This is a quality product, and has been used every morning for -wait for it- toast! Also pop tarts, frozen pancakes, pizza rolls, and frozen fish, all to perfection. Several casseroles have been cooked in this spacious oven. It's size allows us to bypass the big oven, saving time and money. I personally love the stainless steel look of the product. Highly recommended...
Nice and big and this convection oven bakes evenly...
September 2, 2016
I bought this one refurbished, not from Amazon, still with the 2 year warranty and really love the large extra wide size.
I've read others that criticize it for the 'old school' analog controls. But you know what, my old one had the digital readout and controls but you had to keep punching the buttons to finally reach the desired temperature and length of time it stayed on. With the 'old fashioned' knobs of this Black and Decker I can quickly turn it to the desired temp and time.. Actually much better, faster, more efficient.
I've found the temp, so far, to be about 20 degrees too high according to the oven thermometer but I've been accustomed to that with toaster ovens in general over the years I've owned them. If I'm aware of that I just adjust the temp accordingly. No real issue.
I first tried it with a couple pieces of bread for toast and it toasted the tops evenly and quickly. The bottoms had the usual uneven spacing of browning typical with toaster ovens due to the rack the bread is sitting on, compared to dedicated toaster. But no real issue here, it was toast.
Next I tried some chocolate, chocolate chip muffins from scratch. This convection oven baked them evenly without my having to rotate the 12 muffin pan to evenly bake. It baked evenly for the entire baking time required. They all rose evenly to the same height and color. Nice... Oh, and I would never have been able to use the 12 muffin muffin pan in my old toaster oven.
I really like this convection toaster oven!
2 days in and the wife loves it!
July 19, 2016
We got this 2 days ago. First it is a huge unit that will take up a lot of counter real estate. The size is beneficial to use, this unit has essentially replaced the full oven for the most part. So far my wife has fully cooked a meatloaf, reheated leftovers, reheated pizza, cooked meatballs, and of course toaster bread(8 slices @ once). We love it and have found no flaws so far. This unit is great if you've got the counter space and would like to avoid using a full oven so much. Oh ya, this this is a convection oven, I didn't even notice that when we purchased, was more focused on cooking capacity. Everything thing has cooked evenly and done it the same time as our main oven(just in a smaller unit). I will update if it prematurely fails or has any problems in the future.
Great for the price
April 29, 2015
Nice and big for our big family especially since it fits big slices of bread from the bread machine. Easily fits a 9x13 and easier to use this rather than heating up the oven. After shelling out $150 for fancier models what seemed like every year, this is great for the price. Would buy it again.

Cuisinart TOB-135 Deluxe Convection Toaster
June 19, 2016
I've had a Cuisinart toaster oven for many years and it has worked very well for me. I felt it was time for a new one and since my old model is no longer available, I gave this one a try. I've not been disappointed. As with anything new, I have had to try a few settings to get back to the way the old one worked, but it didn't take long to be up to speed. I've only tried baked potatoes so far as baking is concerned and they actually came out better than the old one I had. Toast and English muffins are great.
Highly recommend this fabulous toaster oven - it's perfect!

I carefully researched 'toaster ovens' because I've had a series of cheaper ones, mostly Black & Decker that simply weren't high quality over time, and I found myself replacing them every 18 months or so. I chose this product because of the name, the great reviews, and the look of the oven. I've had it two weeks now, have used it 2-4 times a day and absolutely love it! I've used the toast, bagel, broil, bake functions and have roasted potatoes and veggies with the baking function and find them all very easy to use, accurate and quiet. The oven cleans easily, heats quickly, toasts evenly (without drying out bread or bagels) and just does what it's supposed to do. I love that the drip pan simply pulls out from the front, and that its coating makes it very easy to clean. The unit is completely silent, except for the bell tone when the time is up. It's easy to program and operate and is everything I'd hoped for. I enthusiastically recommend it! Appearance wise, it's a very attractive addition to my kitchen counter, I love the digital programming and backlight.
Cuisinart ROCKS
May 24, 2014
Toaster ovens in my experience are good for a year or two than elements need to be replaced, knobs fall off, etc. So when I found the toaster oven I purchased at Overstock lasted seven plus years as a reconditioned item, I knew when I needed a replacement I'd be buying another from Cuisinart. My older oven still works, but it definitely is showing age as the light-dark dial for toast is toast (just spins) and the door no longer closes successfully. So I started comparing Cuisinart models and also sites to purchase from (narrowing it down to Overstock and Amazon). This Cuisinart TOB-135 came out the winner as it was a trifle larger than some others and also offered the preprogramming functions, including a cooking timer. Amazon also offered the best deal - at least $15 less than Overstock and with my Prime free shipping, purchasing from here was a no brainer!
My only concern was my housemates admitted lack of electronic capability, but the way this Cuisinart is designed even an admitted technophobe was baking, toasting, and broiling with the simplest instructions from me - and the Cuisinart too. That's right this little toaster ovens controls blink to tell you what to do next. It could not be easier to learn to use. Toast comes out shaded the way I want, the baking function and auto timer shut off - fabulous. It's roomy enough for a smallish (4lb) chicken or even a small boneless leg of lamb - which is great when you don't want to use a large oven or heat up the whole house. I haven't yet tried the convection function, but plan to when I do some baking. One thing...definitely read the instructions as there are some handy tips there, including where and when to place the oven rack for the most successful cooking.
This is a really solid toaster and so well constructed. Love the removable crumb tray - along with the baking tray and broiler rack - all easy to clean surfaces as well.
I'm hoping this one will last 7+years as well - It seems from previous reviewers comments it should. Kudos to Cuisinart for another indispensable kitchen item and to Amazon for fabulous service and prices!
Love it so far
March 12, 2014
I chose this toaster oven after exhaustive research. Why so much time spent? Because I didn't research at all the last one I bought about three years ago. That one was a pricey Cuisinart; so I thought to myself as I grabbed it off the shelf at Bed, Bath & Beyond that it must be a decent product. What a mistake. It was the most illogical, irritating thing imaginable. There was no "On-Off" button, and no "On" indicator light of any kind, so you never actually knew if it was on or off. The only way to turn it on, apparently, was by setting the timer, which ran for all of three minutes. So, to cook an item for fifteen minutes, the timer had to be set five times! The only way to turn the thing off was by pulling the plug out from the wall.

After that experience, I never thought I'd end up with another Cuisinart, but did; and so far, so good. This one is light years ahead of the one I just dumped, being well thought out and simple to use. It toasts, bakes, and broils very quickly. Another reviewer said it takes four minutes for toast. I'm not getting that at all. I think he might be looking at the "4" on the screen, which is for the shade of medium, and confusing that with minutes, I don't know.

Another thing I like is that it has insulation on the sides and does not get too hot. In fact, the sides do not seem to get hot at all. This was a big consideration for me, as some of these things are like fire hazards. The glass door does get hot, so you can't touch that; but the handle is far enough away from the glass for this to be a problem.

Several others complained about the size; and you can see my comments after one of these reviews. I think it is a standard size toaster oven. You can fit at least six very large baked potatoes. If you are using this as a replacement for a regular oven, then you might want to look at a different size.

It also does not have any of the loud, piercing beeps or hideously bright lights that reviewers of some other ovens complained about. The crumb tray pulls out easily from the front.

So, so far, so good.

A so so. Not as I good as I expected.
September 19, 2017
So far so good. It's just been a week old. But not really happy with the toaster. My last toaster did a better job toasting my bread. This one on light toast does NOTHING! Need to have it on medium to get a nicely toasted slice. Don't know if it's the timer dial that is the problem. Will hold on for a few more days and if something else turns out to be a problem, this baby will be returned.
My daughter baked cookies in this and they came out slightly undercooked. So temp wise...it doesn't heat up to the actual temp. Also the body is light and the metal thin. High heat makes it pop quite often.
Good for the price
March 29, 2017
Works good so far, light weight for carrying. You do need to let it burn off whatever is inside as recommended by the instructions. I did that outside before I used it.
Also make sure it is completely level or any metal pan will slide on the rack. I was cooking on outside table
Great product
March 27, 2017
I am very pleased with my toaster oven. Great product, don't have to use my large oven since having this one. Baked a cake in it last week. Love the size.
Nice large size
October 28, 2016
Nice large size. Mainly use it for toasting large slices of sourdough or open face sandwiches. Doesn't make perfect evenly browned toast but is acceptable. Biggest drawback for me is the rack. Wish it had more 'rack slots', it always seems to be too close or too far away, especially when trying to top brown something - Like veges with cheese and breadcrumbs. Minor annoyances that would not prevent me from purchasing again.

I have just used this for toast so far and it's so easy to use and works well.
Excellent toaster oven!
August 1, 2015
We used the same toaster oven for the first 7 years of our marriage. My husband complained time and time again about how ugly it was getting and that we needed to upgrade. Well, I did that for Father's Day! Now, we use our toaster ovens a lot. Literally on a daily basis. We use it for all of the regular things that you would expect like toast, bagels, frozen prepared meals, pizza, etc. We actually don't have a microwave so we use it to warm up all of our food as well! So it is used for almost every meal of the day.

I LOVE the size of this toaster oven and it is just pretty! It is so much more usable than our previous oven and it doesn't take up too much room on our countertop. I have successfully cooked things that I would have only cooked in our larger standard sized ovens previously like casseroles, bread, cookies, etc. It performed just as well as the larger oven. It's also nice not to have to heat up the entire house when I want to cook something. I do have to say that it cooks things more evenly than our previous toaster oven as well.

I was specifically looking for a toaster oven with knobs versus a digital display. How many times have I had products with those fancy digital displays break?! Technology is great, but sometimes I just like to go back to the basics and I mean that in a good way. The knobs are easy to manoeuvre, but I did have a slight challenge making toast the first time. I couldn't quite figure it out. I'm sure that if I would have read the directions better that would have helped though. ;-)

Now...drumroll, please...the reason for 4 stars vs 5 stars? The buzzer! That sucker is LOUD. That's great when I want to be notified so that I can remove items from the oven, but when my kids are asleep, I have a migraine, etc then I would love the option to turn it off or lower the volume. That's definitely not a make or break detail and I would still purchase this toaster oven again. Especially for the great price!

September 1, 2016
I have been using this toaster oven for 6 months now. I really like it. I do nearly all of my cooking in this oven. Fixing meals for two, I don't need to use the big oven and it saves heating my kitchen up during the summer. I like the convection feature as well. There were others similar to this oven but the warranty for the Cuisinart is longer and the reviews were better.
Not sure what to do
July 26, 2016
Love the toaster oven but only had it a couple of weeks and the words on the one button is almost completely rubbed off. I am worried if this happens to the other buttons we will not know what button to press. I read all the reviews before my purchase but did not see anything about this. Not sure if I should return it or not. Otherwise it is fabulous!
Sleek looking toaster oven!
December 26, 2015
I bought this for my parents for Christmas. So far it's been doing a decent job.First off- the reason I chose this one is because my mom had commented that she really enjoyed the toast from my cuisine art toaster. Of course mine is 5 years old and not widely available. This one had decent reviews so I purchased it.The good: it looks sleek, it's not too big so it doesn't look huge on a counter. It makes great toast!!! And of course the oven function works well for smaller items so you don't have to heat up your real oven. I love the blue back light as well.THE NOT SO GOOD: it's almost a little too hi tech. Also if you don't watch your toast even on the lightest setting - it will burn!!!!! So you can't just walk away- which is a little annoying. It also costs a lot!!!!!!If you have money to spend then it may be worth it - otherwise a cheaper option would likely do the job.
Perfect for us!
August 19, 2015
I bought this to quit heating the oven for so long when it was just a 30 minute bake that I needed. It works great and my husband uses it a lot. Don't care for the toasting - seems to make the bread a little dry - but for bake and broil - it wins. Heats up in less than 3 minutes so you are done quickly with minimal heat in the kitchen.

March 18, 2015
Love this and my first time using a convection toaster over. Two complaints though, No on off switch and if you leave it plugged into an outlet it keeps turning on and off as if you wish to program cooking time. Second problem it ois very difficult to tell temp and time as their is a red indictor over this part of the dial.
Nice little oven
October 25, 2013
I bought this to replace my 7 year old model of similar design which I used on a daily basis. It heats pretty evenly at a slightly higher temp than the previous one, I set it 25 degrees lower than suggested temps. The convection works well and is much quieter than the previous model, you can barely hear it. No bulge on the side, either. I subtracted a star due to the door design, it is difficult to pull stuff out without contacting the HOT lowered door because there is no space between the lowered door and the rack, so you can't grab the rack with a potholder easily.

Oven is great but dont expect to set an exact temp!
November 6, 2017
Love that this oven bakes so perfectly. I have cooked two loaf pans of breads to perfection. BUT there is no way to turn knob to exact temp when you need exact, you will need an oven thermometer to achieve this. I do not know why they dont have better knobs!

We've only had it a few months. We are in our 70's and it is hard to read the tiny buttons on the front which after only a few months are already wearing off. We have not been thrilled with our Cuisinart purchases as a rule. Probably won't buy more in the future.
Decent - Cuisinart Convection Toaster
December 31, 2016
Ordered this as a gift for my parents because I have the same one, however I purchased mine in store. This online model seems shiner/lighter in color than mine and the buttons writing (temp, etc.) wore off after a few days. Heats quickly, easy use, clear digital settings.

August 26, 2016
It took a while to figure out how to set the time/temp.; poor instructions. The toaster is a good size on the kitchen counter, but the rack adjustments are not the best. So far, the only things I have made successfully are toasting bread and bagels. Maybe things will improve after I use it longer, but so far it's just been a very expensive toaster. It needs to have more vertical cooking space inside.

Update review: Spend a little more and get a better product.
June 5, 2017
I was so excited to get a new oven and this one had such great reviews. Unfortunately mine heats up more on the left than the right, so much so that if I cook something for half an hour half will be severely burnt and the other half will be under cooked. So now I have to lower the temperature by 25 or so degrees and turn whatever I try to cook every 10 minutes which drives me crazy because I do a lot of baking. I'm so disappointed with this purchase.Update on 10/9/2017: I can no longer use this oven as it barely heats to 100 degrees (It hasn't moved on my counter since I bought it). I feel like throwing it outside and stomping it into a thousand tiny pieces but I still don't think I will be satisfied. I wouldn't waste my money on this product.

A real joy to use-I thought
November 12, 2016
A real joy to use. Who ever designed this knew what they were doing. Very easy to use. It takes a little time to get use to it as it is more efficient and accurate than other brands I had. I would have given this a "10" if it had a light inside. Very high quality, easy to clean even after reheating a pizza that's dripping cheese. Toast comes out perfect, along with bagels and garlic bread. I used it to bake French fries and pork chops and they came out just the way I like. Would highly recommend this to a friend. My 5 Star rating just went to a 2 star. I went to use the defrost function and couldn't see which button to push. After getting a small flash light I noticed that the labels on the other buttons that I used where almost worn off. I only had this for a short time (less Than 2 Months) the buttons labels should have out last the Toaster. Lack of attention to detail.

Overall I love this toaster oven but I'm a bit annoyed that t's brand new and the writing has come off of one of the buttons. I may try calling to try to fix it. You kind of need to see what the buttons are.
Burns Food
August 15, 2016
We had an older Cuisinart convection toaster oven that lasted for 10 years. We loved it and used it all the time. When it was finally time to get a new one, we ordered this one and we are very disappointed. We have had this one for several months now, and it tends to burn food. Now, we are veteran toaster oven users, so we know that you have to adjust cooking temperatures downward for both toaster ovens and for convection ovens -- and even moreso for convection toaster ovens. Still, we haven't gotten the hang of this one. In order to stop food from burning, sometimes we have to set the temperature at a ridiculously low level, like 175 degrees. And at that temperature, sometimes the inside of the food doesn't get cooked.

Lightweight and perhaps potentially unsafe if you're not careful
March 4, 2016
This is a very lightweight and perhaps potentially dangerous piece of equipment. If you cook with any sort off substantial dish on bottom of oven (9x9 pyrex dish, say, with some potatoes in it) and pull dish out half way to check on it, the oven lifts from the back and tips forward. Also: the oven door doesn't seat firmly when it's closed, though oven does heat quickly to desired temperature.Needless to say, I returned the oven. This model is just not up to Cuisinart standards, I believe. These were the first mishaps I've ever had with any of their ovens. Digital bells and whistles are nice, but the potential tipping hazard outweighs them for me! One can be careful and avoid any possible accident, of course, but a forgetful moment could bring on a bit of trouble.
Get the Breville...
February 1, 2016
If I'd received a working unit, I might be able to give a review of the intended purpose of the product, but the one that was shipped was dead right out of the box. The control panel worked, but the heating elements would not come on, no matter what was tried. Overall, I'd say that for the money the oven seemed a little on the "cheap" side. The plastic undercarriage and legs look & feel flimsy. The control buttons and knob, too, feel very insubstantial and prone to issues -- as if they are a bit "loose" and not very "solid." Right off the bat I noticed that in turning the knob and pressing the buttons, the action sometimes didn't seem to "register" with the mode display. Also wasn't really pleased with the fact that there are not, properly, three different rack positions. Instead, you turn the rack over, in it's middle position, to achieve the upper level. Which, admittedly, might seem like a small detail, but there just seem to be a number of such corners cut, on this machine, that makes it less than worthwhile, for the money.I'd debated a long time between this oven versus the similar Breville model, and bought this one to save some money. I've received the Breville in exchange, now, and can say that it's a much better product. About 90 bucks more, from Amazon, but totally worth it. The Breville is just so much more solid, and the control interface so much more intuitive and positive. It just seems like a quality product that will be a pleasure to use, as opposed to something that will always be a slight disappointment.

Very Disappointed!
October 27, 2017
I was so excited when this arrived yesterday. I had a chicken breast all ready for it to cook today for lunch. It took over an hour and a half for it to reach 160 degrees at 400 degrees. My old toaster oven took 40 - 45 minutes, and when I say old it has to be at least 15 years old. It is also a Black & Decker, that's why I wanted this one.I wonder how long it will take for a whole chicken?!? Well, I found out today. I think my oven is defective. For the whole chicken, it took about 2 hours (I found a recipe online for a whole chicken baked in a convection toaster oven which had great reviews). The breast was overdone & rubbery (I couldn't eat it, but the dogs loved it), the legs were dried out, the thighs & wing were still bleeding. I'm going to use it for stock; it's certainly not edible.
Not What I Expect from B&D
October 11, 2017
I purchased this oven to replace another B&D oven, which we were very happy with for at least 15 years. I am already on my second one of these, as the first one needed replacement after 5 months. We've had this one for 2 and it isn't working. Both have/had issues with the toast timer. I have found that the replacement also had problems with the oven thermostat. An oven thermometer is required if the temperature is critical It seems that Black and Decker has joined the list of companies who make products with profit in mind and not quality. After all, if you manufacturer a product that lasts, how can they get you to replace if every year or so?

Lettering on selection buttons rubbed off after less than 2 months of use. Toast did not brown evenly. Cuisinart customer service was a nightmare to deal with.
Cheap button design
October 11, 2016
After about 30 uses in 40 days, two of the buttons' printed words have worn off, making them unreadable (time and temp). This doesn't render the oven worthless, just annoying for those who don't want to spend time committing their toaster oven buttons to memory or to walk guests through which buttons are which.I would say that additionally, the buttons have an overall cheap feel to them and easily get food stuck in their cracks. Not well designed.
Don't trust it.

Door handle is loosening, have not found a way to tighten. Confusing instructions to set temp and Browning setting. Feels very thin. Would not leave this product running on my counter without close supervision.
Buyer beware!
January 3, 2016
I should've sent this back right when it arrived, and now I've missed the return window and I'm stuck with a fairly expensive toaster oven that doesn't heat evenly and has started making a ticking sound every time I use it. I've had Cuisinart small appliances in my kitchen before that I've loved, but the quality of this toaster oven is not what I expected. From day one, the oven burned most things I tried to cook, and even after lowering the temperature 25-50 degrees I've had little luck. You have to change the level of the oven rack often (different levels for baking and toasting) which isn't a big deal unless you forget to change it prior to preheating and then the rack is very hot. It does make good toast, quite quickly, but now that the oven is making a ticking sound it will probably be put in the trash soon which is unfortunate as the product is less than three months old. I will try to contact Cuisinart customer service to see if they'll stand behind this product. Terrible purchase.
Turns itself back on automatically - digital control issue probably.

Initially I loved this toaster oven. Digital controls were easy to use. Does a great job in baking biscuits and fairly even toast and the exterior doesn't get as hot as some other models. But after only a week, it started to turn itself back on automatically. I had used it for breakfast, and while cleaning up, I saw that it was back on. So I turned it off, but then after a couple of minutes it was back on again. This happened about 4 times while I watched. I don't know if it would have also turned itself OFF automatically, but not worth the risk of burning my house down to find out. So this one is going back as defective. Too bad.
Sparking on the inside...eeek!
July 31, 2015
The on switch was sparking on the inside from faulty electrical wiring when turned on anything other than warm. Fire hazard!! The box was opened and damaged when I received it, so likely Amazon sent it knowing it was a dud and previously returned. I'm giving the oven another shot...

User Overview
  • Problem with sizes

According to your review, the Cuisinart is 366 inches by 720 inches. That's not even going to fit in my driveway, much less my kitchen.
