Awesome camera. Had this for over a year and it is still holding up. Great audio once on the computer and the photos and videos on this are amazing!

I tell everyone about this camera. Very good quality video, easy to use, and durable. I have gone swimming underwater with the included waterproof case, of course I tested the case without the camera before. (Do make sure your apply pressure on the lid when closing to fully seal the lid.) I use this camera for RC Rock crawling videos mostly, it works great for that purpose. There is no zoom function. The Wifi control works well on Apple, it doesn't on Android. If I were serious about my video making, I would buy multiple of these for more camera angles before I would even look at a GoPro. My brother is an avid YouTube'r and swears by GoPro, I can't see a difference in the video quality. I use Microsoft Movie Maker for my edits, it's easy to use and does what I need. I can't comment on the included accessories, as I really only use the waterproof case. It is very durable, my camera came off an RC car at 50 MPH on asphalt, and it never stopped recording. I use a class 10 micro SD, and have no issues. Battery life is about 2 hours.I highly recommend this camera for anyone who can live with not paying a fortune for a name brand.[...][...][...]

This is a pretty decent camera for the price. Had a small issue with an accessory and ''Neewer'' wouldn't even respond to me But Amazon and KincaidGlobalTrade (USA) who sales the camera threw Amazon stepped right up and took care of it immediately. Ok the camera is very good exactly as advertised I Especially like the WIFI ability it has. It does film a very good quality video 1080p the only thing about it is the sound quality isn't great butt if you can deal with that then this is a perfect camera for ridding a motorcycle like i do or bicycle. dash cam .or to have it another room to spy on your dog with the WIFI like i do you cant go wrong with this camera. LOVE this camera. This is my first action cam and I got to it by actually looking at GoPro accessories because I was going to borrow my friends. First thing that hit me was the price. As I clicked on the name and the picture and description came up, the price went from around $350(GoPro Hero 3, Silver edition) to $69!!! (SJ 4000). I did wayy to much research but I wanted to know the differences between the cameras and other peoples opinions. Turns out that it's simply a touch off from the GoPro but has the pretty much exact same features. When I first got the camera and tried it out, it had some issues with recognizing the Micro SD card and the battery. But after a few times taking short videos and charging it and turning it off and on, it eventually worked flawless. With a 16gig SD card you can take over 6000 pics and record around 3 hrs. When I took videos on the motorcycle, the battery was half dead after 30min of video recording. So make sure that you don't take too long videos and if you do, you have a second, third or more batteries with you. What also helps a lot is when you keep emptying the SD card right when you get the chance because all the videos and pictures add up and at some point when you want to take a great video, it will stop recording and delete the whole thing because you are out of memory. I have a surface RT tablet and the player that works for playing the videos is M8 (Multimedia 8) player. Set it as you default option to open the videos and it will save you a lot of headache. For pictures, just use "Photo" as default program. The video and photo quality is super sharp, especially when taken in the right light and the lens is clean and the best part is you can use all the gopro accessories with this one! The screen in the back does help on occasion, especially when you are mounting the camera somewhere and want a horizontal shot. Other than that, the screen is very small and the LCD resolution sucks so I never look at the pics or videos right after I took them. The WiFi aspect I still have to figure out...when I press the button for it, it wants to look for a connection but won't find my phone. Sound quality is really nice, when you mount it to a car you wont hear anything but the wind when you drive.When you just go swimming or biking, even in the water proof housing the sound is still very nice and clear. Easy to use and most of the things that come with in this package work very great. Not good are the couple 3M sticky stripes. Get the GoPro ones. The box itself is also not the prefect ideal fit for the camera, when I tried to organize everything I realized the camera sizes are a little different so it still fits in the spot pretty good but not flawless. The panorama pics I was able to take when I was in the Alps are breathtaking. Super sharp, beautiful colors and the 170 degree wide angle lens REALLY does it's job!Bottom line, for a beginner this is the camera to start with. It's affordable and great quality and if you figure out you don't like getting addicted to recording everything everywhere, at least you didn't spend too much money.

First off, when I bought this the original arrive date was going to be about a week however I received it yesterday which took only a couple days. I played around with it in the house and I think the video is pretty darn good for the price. There were so many accessories that came with this that I had to "you tube" some of the pieces. I would say that for the price, you get a lot. I read some comments that the sound wasn't that great, but I thought it was fine (again for the price). I'm not trying to emulate Steven Spielberg so I'm not too concerned about the sound quality being perfect other than the speaker picks up sound....

I've had this one for a while and it has been one of my favorite toys. User friendly lightweight and just so easy to use. This product is so well made and small enough to carry it in your purse.

Waterproof, kid proof, wallet proof! If you're looking for a GoPro but can't afford the cost, BUY THIS! The quality is great, uploads easily to the computer for editing, and has several attachments to hook it to a bike, helmet, or wear it. I have not read any negative reviews on this product and now I know why.

Used this in the dunes I was really happy about how this work just as well as a GoPro for a fraction of the price. Instant playback was great and all the accessories that were included can't be beat!

Although it took 12 days to get this (I live in FL and it came from So. Carolina), you can't beat the $$$ and it shoots great video! Thank you, I may even grab another!

 I've been super impressed by this camera. It's extremely durable and it's super easy to use.
I was worried that navigating the camera menu on such a tiny screen would be cumbersome, but it was actually pretty painless.
I love that it comes with several different mounts to use with the camera.
The video quality is very good, and it is definitely an excellent value for the price.

I don't usually write reviews but this camera is great! Cheap price but you get great results. Used it in costa rica and i don't regret buying it. Has a few glitches but i can't complain for the price! Love it

Really great little camera for the price, not a GoPro, but then again I didnt have $300 to shell out. The quality is okay, more like the video footage of an iPhone4. The waterproof case worked pretty well when I tried it in the ocean, however I did notice some condensation in the lense part after which worried me a bit. I think all in all I got my money's worth and am excited to try it out more.

Is not bad, it a started Camera. things i didn't like is that i went hunting and battery didn't last more than half an hour. I couldn't get it to connect to the internet so i need to take my laptop(more stuff to carry). beside that i like it. Next year will upgrade before Deer season start.

All around great camera for the price. I was a little disappointed though, when I realized the video only records for a minute at a time then starts a new video. Something like that should be written in the description ..

Got my camera yesterday and I didn't know what to expect. I had heard some mixed reviews but that's to be expected, after all this is a a pretty cheap cam and I haven't had much luck with Neewer products but I must say it was a nice surprise. Now to the pros and cons. First of all picture quality very nice for 12mp but distorts when enlarging really quickly(5x7 the highest print I suggest) will make good 4x6 prints. Next video nice and clear. Sounds quality is good to, even when in water proof case but sound is muffled when in case(what do you expect....lol). Camera does have kinda a fish eye effect. Good wifi for up to about 50-100ft. Camera locks up beyond that. Has a lot of features I didn't expect, time lapse, wifi remote, time date stamp(on or off), burst photo mode. You can even change exposure. I got it to hookup to wifi on my IPhone 6 on the first try easy(I know if your a guy you don't want to hear this but you got to follow the instructions). Over all nice little camera for the price I would compare it to just under a Gopro Hero 3 for about a quarter of the price why not. Still checking it out. Will follow up in a few.

For the price of this camera.. it works! My kids play with it, throw it in the water, and run around with it.. still works. Had it for a year and it's still works. Battery lasts for a while. It is rechargeable. Sometimes it's hard to film stuff going on at night and sound is muffled when in water. Other than that it's a great product!

I really like its small form and crisp picture. The fact that it can go underwater is real groovy to. The bad is it doesn't come with an auto plug in charger for this unit. Where and when can we get one?

I received this as a birthday gift from my wife who knew I was planning on spending quite a it more money on a GoPro Hero 3. I was a bit surprised by the fact that the item was not boxed and was shipped in the padded travel case. I almost sent it back immediately assuming that it was an even cheaper knock off. I decided to give it a try and ultimately kept it and still use it a year later.The camera itself is small but seemingly well built. It does not come with a lense cap which would have been a nice bonus item. The lense is protected in the waterproof housing, but In order to get decent audio you will not want to record with the camera in the housing as it muffles the sound almost to the point of being useless. You can mount the camera many different ways with or without the housing depending on the environment and conditions you are shooting in just as the GoPro allows. Video quality is quite nice for such a low priced action camera, but I wish there was an option to turn off the fisheye effect. You can purchase a standard lense which costs more than the camera or correct with software such as Adobe Premiere, but that is very expensive and time consuming to render long videos.The buttons are simple enough to figure out on your own and it's easy enough to oppeerate under most conditions. The only time I struggle is in the bright sun when I can't tell if I am recording or in pause.I mostly use this camera for extreme settings such as the ocean or in the snow and it's perfect for that. I get great video that I would never, ever dare take with my iPhone, camcorder or bridge camera. If that is really all your lookin for then you really can't go wrong with this unit for the price.I bought the additional mounts and have found them to be fun to play with too for some unique shots on the bike or the car. The chest and head harness haven't come in handy yet. I initially purchased those to strap the kids up and get their point of view shots, but I haven't tried then yet.All in all this is a good option for those not looking too spend considerably more on the GoPro. For family footage it really is a nice edition. I do recomend buying an extra battery or two as the recording time is limited. I typically get about an hour on my battery.

Even more fragile than I thought. No instructions on how to remove the waterproof casing correctly. I felt as if I was pulling way to hard on it to open it so I watched a YouTube video that showed this so I didn't break it. The top slider piece that is supposed to release it did not work after sliding it over and pulling up. Pushing the case together did not work either and as I pulled back the black holder trying to relieve pressure it shattered into pieces. - so after a 20 minute research and battle I lost. So much for a waterproof case! I don't have enough time to return this prior to my cruise that I bought it for so I am stuck with it. I guess I'll order a replacement holder and hope for the best. The camera works OK after going through the options and experimenting. All I wanted was to do time lapse and have a decent underwater photo/video recorder.

I haven't really used it enough to rate it. Need time to study the "manual" more. I had to get GoPro's manual online as the so called manual that come with it is useless.

It did the job, however the battery life was not that great and I had to buy more battery packs to over come this a little.Pros:~ It was cheap.~ Good deal for what you get for the money.~ It did the job of taking pictures and video.Cons:~ DOES NOT HAVE "Wi-Fi" as it clams.....~ Battery life is very poor. You will need to buy extra batteries.~ The 12MP sensor is as to be expected for a cheap camera, a lot of noise in low light.~ Video will studded when changing from different amount of light scenes.~ Very small LCD on the back.

DONT USE THE glue MOUNTS make sure you bolt it in or something to whatever you are mounting it to. the glue mount is old and does not stay on well at all. easily pushed off with a little force. Cracked my waterproof case screen. however the case protected the camera so the camera is fine. but now i have to buy another 15$ case because the glue wouldn't stay on.

I got this camera mainly to see if I liked the form factor enough to invest in a go-pro or similar camera. In that this purchase was successful, it's a convincing knock-off and It works well enough to make me want a real one.

The image quality is not fantastic, the sound is OK at best and nearly non-existent when in the case (And there is no immediate way to mount the camera to anything without the case on. Also some of the included accessories feel a bit redundant, but they fit well. For me the most useful one so far has been the display mount that was part of the packaging, it makes a pretty stable little base.

On the positive side... the battery life is pretty good and the menus are very easy to figure out and navigate (which is good as documentation is severely minimal.) At the price I am sure I can find a use for this camera, probably mounted on my scooter, where I will get my moneys worth.

Bought for 11 year old son. He enjoys it but battery doesn't last long.

Great for the price but I was disappointed that waterproof case is also virtually sound proof. I got this product to take videos when I kayak. I can barely hear myself speak so the videos are not very useful to me. I might try the head strap without the waterproof case but then there's a problem with the buttons. The waterproof case had some nice big buttons that can activate the actual buttons so that's useful when I'm kayaking. I fear that without the waterproof case that the buttons will be very difficult to operate with the camera strapped to my head!

For the price, a great deal. Granted, the HD quality isn't the greatest and there are some issues with it shooting in anything less than direct sunlight, but again: for the price it was a great deal.

Quality matches price = cheap. Battery is not 6hrs as some claimed. Tested, lasted around 3hrs continuous 720p recording. Okay video quality, very noticeable grain noise in dim lights, indoors, and cloudy days. There are random white circles that will appear over shiny or white objects (see attached picture), so keep that in mind.

Purchased for a friend who is an avid outdoorsman. He originally thought this was a solid camera. He recently got an actual Go-Pro, there is no substitute for top of the line products. If you have a certain price range that does not reach the Go-Pro level, this camera provides a high quality "bang for your buck"

When I turn off time stamp for video recording it doesn't work for recording a video. Only taking pictures works. Also the battery cap is not easy to open to change the battery. The quality of video is good but the pictures are not good. RETURN

I ordered this for an upcoming trip but I think it will be going back. I wasn't expecting GoPro quality and I didn't get it. The biggest issue is the sound not syncing with the video. Sure the microphone quality sucks as well and you'd probably dub music over the video but it's just a $60 piece of junk. Seriously , just save up for the real thing and you'll be much happier.

It quit turning on even under a full charge after 1 month

What you get with this camera is a solid package of accessories to start and well-built action cam. What you don't get is a well-built action cam with good picture quality. The quality of the video is nowhere near a cheap GoPro. It's NOT 720p. It's probably somewhere around QVGA and HVGA. Ironically, this camera did capture in low-light somewhat decently, but once again, the video quality sucks.

For me, this camera has only one benefit and it is the screen. I have a GoPro that doesn't have a screen, so I can use this camera and it's screen to position my GoPro and then use the GoPro for what I want to film. Outside of that, I feel like I wasted my money. You get what you pay for!

The reason why the battery lasts so short is becayse the camera doesn't fully turn off unless you take the battery off or it's plugged into the charger. Image quality is very poor under low light. I'm not giving it a lower rating only because I paid for what I got, which is my fault.

As the camera is good itself im am disappointed that it did not come with everything it listed in the discription.

Video Playback is choppy on all computers tested, and leaves previous frame artifacts in future footage.

I bought this camera as an alternative to the hight cost Gopro... The video quality was OK, pictures not so much. Sound was acceptable for this kind of cameras.After 4 months of use (not every day use; but 2 or 3 times a month) the camera stopped working. I lost US$69.00.Buy at your own risk. It's not reliable.

Great, full-featured camera. UNFORTUNATELY the two I bought from Neewer were defective and shoot everything with a BLUE or MAGENTA cast. That's why they were so inexpensive. Customer Service was responsive but offered no satisfactory solution to the problem (mailing them back to China would have cost more than the purchase price) after many back-and-forth emails....so be careful what you buy from them and don't set your hopes too high for their Customer Service.

Don't buy from here. They changed out items as described ( I ordered 3 and only got 2 of 3 exchange items). Instructions were furnished via email - and very difficult to understand. Suggest that you try either DBpower or Geekpro 2" screen.

Dont have a 1.5inch display

Hard to give an accurate review. Currently, my camera is not working. I have had issues with the battery and/or charging system for the camera. I plugged up for a full charge to use on a fishing trip and when I went to get it off of charger, it remained dead and said low battery. So, my plans were totally messed up to use it on fishing trip. Very disappointed Neewer.

First, this isn't a SJ4000 camera AT ALL! Nowhere does it say it in the instructions of the firmware/version or menus. It's some generic 1080p waterproof sports action cam that I would expect to see for $20 in stores. My PC labeled it as "iCatchtek SPCA6330" ...I gave this Neewer brand a try because I liked their cheap $2 microphones that had decent quality, so I didn't think they would let me down here.I've used it for one night and one day and can already say it's just not worth it. It's one of those ones where you look at the video you just recorded and say NOPE! So check out my attached pictures which are from the actual video, and see for yourself. The only good thing this has going for it is the almost overwhelming amount of accessories, BUT you get the same thing with a real SJCAM SJ4000! I already had some GoPro mounts so I decided not to put my trust in these cheap feeling thin plastic pieces. Get a real original SJCAM SJ4000 instead of this; I found one on eBay for just a small amount more than what I paid for this generic "potato" (what some people call junky cameras). I now know there's many companies making rip off versions of the real SJ4000, or saying they are when they're not, so be careful and check out review videos that explain how to know if they're real etc. Check out "Techmoan" on YouTube; he has great videos about it.If I haven't convinced you yet to turn away...The video quality: It does what appears to be a stretched/interpolated 1080p (not real 1080p), because you can't read signs or words! It's filled with pixels and grain no matter what lighting you're in. Speaking of light, I went out on a sunny day and it overexposed everything in the sunlight to the point you can't make anything out. In other words it looks like it's 700 degrees temperature outside in the video! I also tried some video at night in the rain, which actually turned out better than in the sun, but it still pretty grainy and darker areas are completely blacked out in the video. Overall, totally unacceptable video quality.The audio quality: is MESSED UP. It distorts the sound when you're louder than a quiet voice. Most of my recording had this strange sound all throughout, like as if a tornado was inside it. This is an automatic NO to sound quality. But other than that there was some weird high pitched beeping/mechanical noises throughout the recording, when it wasn't pretending it was a tornado.The WiFi was TERRIBLE and just too inconvenient to be useful. You first have to connect to the WiFi the camera generates, which means disconnect from any current WiFi you're on, then use their app from the Google Play store to connect. Once connected you can view your camera, but I kept getting errors saying connection lost, or "battery low can't switch modes" even when the battery was still usable for another 20 minutes. It took so long to transfer a short 10sec video to my phone that I gave up. To actually view the camera was extremely laggy, and felt like luck.Battery life was perfectly on the spot like advertised; 1hour 30mins and took a couple hours or so to charge; I wasn't counting. Although, I wouldn't care if this camera lasted 10 hours because the whole thing is just totally unacceptable to be of any use!

Camera has very poor quality. You get what you pay for that is for sure. Does the job though if quality is not a concern.

product seems nice but the image on my computer. it keep having green flashes and phantom on the screen. I tried 60 mhm and 50 mhm set up and still the same problem. Beside this everything is good. I can see the video without any problem on the camera screen.

I had this camera for a few months with very little use until I took it to Hawaii and Shazam! It stopped working after 1 day here. Could not turn it on at all. Different tries with the battery in and out. Charger plugged in. Charger plugged out. Pressed every button combination possible but still does not power up. So pissed. Piece of crapola. And there is no way to contact the seller/manufacturer for a replacement. I wish i wouldn't ever had purchased this camera. I wish they will call me.

Worked fine the first few times of my 9 day vacation to Hawaii...but then it would randomly freeze, leaving me unable to take any more photos or videos until I rebooted it by taking out the battery. When it does this on dry land, it's ok, but when it happens when you're on the water, you can't do a thing about it. I wouldn't buy it again because of this issue.

camera record in AVI only which is not compatible with 90% of the devices out there. I recommend buying the Wi-Fi version if you would like to actually see your videos.
