I have been using Blue Ice FCLO for years and love it. I normally buy the one mixed with butter oil, but it just wasn't in the budget this time around. I'm always happy with the results. I have a lot less dry skin issues when I take FCLO regularly.

I've ever had. And the only one I've taken that I actually feel a difference after taking it.

Great quality for a fish oil supplement. I've been taking it for 6 months. The smell is easier to swallow in the capsules.

Although it is somewhat expensive, I started using this to help with my hormonal acne. I saw results after just a few days! None of the topical remedies would ever do anything for those awful, painful bumps. Will be buying this again.

Originally recommended by a doctor to me. He believed it better than all the rest. We all know that Cod Liver Oil is good for us, I just don't know if this one is better than all the rest as the price suggests.

It works fine, I wish the tablets where at least a 1/2 teaspoon in size!

I'm sure these work out great for many people, in fact I'm pretty sure they were in the starting stages of helping me. I got these to help in the aid of remineralizing my teeth, which if you've done your research, fermented cod liver oil is even better for your teeth than fish oil (of course when you also take other supplements and eat specific raw foods). However, after a few days, I noticed a fishy smell every time I opened the bottle, and I'm still not sure if it was okay or if they went bad or were always bad, or maybe just one pill opened and caused the rest of the pills to smell and taste like fish - but long story short, I tossed these and stuck with my basic fish oil pills for awhile - but with that said, I'm pretty sure the fishy smell was just some sort of a fluke, and I'd be willing to try these out again at some point in the future.

I like that it helps my supplements that need essential fatty acids to work. No fishy taste and my gut tolerates it well. Wish it didn't have to be in the fridge but understand.

Haven't been taking it long enough to know how well it works, but the capsules are small and there is no taste or smell. I think it will be fine.

These are better than taking the oil from a spoon! They are a bit fishy, but easy to take.

Excellent manner to take cod liver oil. I do not really understand the fermented part, but from what I read that is the best formulation.

I use it daily, began slow dose. Now up to 5 daily. I have bone degeneration in extreme case. I will probably not continue as the cost is too much for my budget.

I really didn't see/ feel any noticeable improvements. But I know fermented cod liver oil is good for you. I might try the liquid version instead.

There is a bit of an uproar on some independent lab testing of this product that I think is worth reading. While the writer, Dr. Kaayla Daniel, is clearly angered by the results found and lets this come through (a red flag for me when reading a supposedly scientific document) - I do feel good questions are raised. That being said, Green Pasture has published a response to Dr. Daniel's report and they seem open to answering any questions one has on their products. So, I'm on the fence, I probably would not give this to kids or take while pregnant and just stick with regular old, tried and true, cod liver oil from a high quality company.

I take it and I also give it to my aging dog. The smell is horrendous, though. 3 stars because I am not sure if I feel any noticeable and positive side effects. I've been taking the FCLO by Green Pastures for 3-4 months now. I think FCLO benefits children more because of a child's developing brain. As a fully grown adult, the benefits are less, but I do believe it will help a growing child and their brain function tremendously. There are probably some positive effects for adults, I am atill trying to figure them out. I have read a lot about FCLO, but nothing noticable for me, really. Maybe better mood? I have been feeling better mood-wise, but if that's what ia helping with mood, than it takes a good 2-3 months for this stuff to kick in as a mood booster. I am generally a happy person and do not suffer from mood problems, but lately I have been in a great mood lol. Hmmmmm.

Heard great things about this company and health benefits of taking fermented cod liver oil. Have been using these for 4 months now and have not noticed any difference in my overall health or skin. They are definitely not as bad tasting as many people state. But at a pretty high price for the bottle not sure if I'd buy them again.

I didn't expect the oil inside the capsules to be brown and solidified but I figured that they were still ok. I think the capsules have something to do with my nails being healthy. They are a lot stronger than usual and as a result I am able to retain length. I hope they will have a positive impact on my teeth, skin and hair. I just want confirmation as it relates to the expected appearance.

I bought these capsules after hearing great things about them from friends. Little did a realize that the capsules are extremely cost prohibitive given the recommended dosage. A much better option is to buy the FCLO outside of the capsules and take with a spoon.

The taste is really strong and smell, my teenagers are sued to nasty health foods but i have had a hard time getting them to take these and they aren't cheap :( I'd go with a flavored one next time.

I've taken the whole bottle and can't tell any difference from the regular unfermented $20 bottle of fish oil I was taking before. Ordering a bottle of the regular fermented fish oil they offer since it's cheaper, and seeing if I can tell the difference using that from this.

this product was great for my hair and skin, but it did make me break out a lil more than usual with acne. i have oily skin though so that may be why. i got it originally for hair loss reasons, but it ended up just making my skin softer and smoother. hmmm, not complaining just not what i had hoped or intended it would be good for. oh well. all in all it is worth trying. it did make my hair softer after all.=)

Wont buy it again

Wasn't life changing for me like I've heard it is for other people.

I think maybe one of the pills popped or something because the whole bottle had such a strong fishy taste and smell I can't even take any more without gagging.

My naturopathic doctor told me to stop taking these because basically when you ferment fish oil it goes rancid. I believed the hype but now I just use regular fish oil.

I'm giving this a low review, but I highly recommend buying the fermented cod liver with butter oil from the same company instead. I started taking cod liver oil for acne, and I started with the capsules with the butter oil added. Went through 2 bottles of it taking between 4-6 capsules a day. When I started I had a pretty bad breakout, I took some progress pics each week, and I made steady improvement each week for about a month. Got to a point where I didn't really have any active acne, just some marks from previous pimples that were fading, but very slowly. I won't say it cured my acne, I did eventually get some new pimples, but definitely still a big improvement. Then when I ran out of the 2nd bottle I switched to this one because it was cheaper on amazon, and my skin has gotten a lot worse. Major blemishes all over my face, even when I tried upping the dosage per day. So for me, the butter oil seemed to make all the difference. Ordered a new bottle off of the green pasture site, going to try to stomach the liquid form for cost reasons.

Yuck. Tastes like ferment cod liver oil. Don't know what I expected but if you don't mind a horrible taste and a burning sensation down your throat until you can chase it with OJ or something, then this is good stuff. Sorry...don't recommend. The gel caps are more expensive but easier to live with...except when you burp.

These are highly recommended by so many people, but YUCK - just opening the bottle made me gag. Trying to swallowed them was horrific. The fish burps afterwards were unpleasant. I've heard if you freeze them, it'll help, but it didn't work for me.

Couldn't tell a difference

Bought this to help boost testosterone naturally as part of the Tim Feriss plan. Don't feel like it did anything and the pills taste like low tide at the pier. It's also extremely expensive. Cannot recommend.

These work, but the recommended dosage is 4 capsules. The taste is terrible, and I had a really hard time getting them down. I have switched to the cinnamon tingle gel and that is better. I think I might rather have the cod liver oil in flavored capsules separate from the butter oil, that way the flavor would be less of an issue and only 2 capsules. Maybe I am a weenie, but this just did not work for me.

I take this everyday, but for some reason this purchase was awful, bad after taste, even smelled bad. I store in the freezer for this reason, the capsules don't even look the same as my last bottle. I was really disappointed. it's very expensive and I would hope there would be more consistency.

Had a allergic reaction to this. That never happens to me. I just glad my body told me it didn't like it instead of just taking it and hurting me without knowing it.

Not happy. I had cod liver oil from earthfare and it worked amazing. This product has no results after 3 weeks.

Not very effective w/out the one that also has butter oil in it which is too expensive.

I have used this product for years. This last bottle had different capsules and was expired, and didnt work well at all. I believe some of these sellers are filling bottles with cheap crap and using Green Pasture label. Be careful of sellers on Amazon. Just buy it direct from Green Pastures website.

It's was in refrigerator for 4 month, and now it is smells like decompose dog

Wanted to like this product, but didn't like that every batch had different levels of Vitamin A. When speaking with service reps, they were rude and didn't like being asked questions about the product. Kind of sketchy. *Be careful when taking when pregnant, too much Vitamin A during pregnancy could be dangerous for fetus. My experience: I don't like the product and wished I purchased from a different company

Literally had no effect on me whatsoever. I took 4 capsules a day.

The package was dented and it was expired a couple weeks later. I spent a lot of money on this product and now it is worthless.

Did not work for me, have to send it back. The side affects were too much for me: stomach cramps, jaw pain, ear aches and my teeth hurt. I also got a metal taste in my mouth.

Not only is this product expensive, but I saw no changes in my acne or health at all after one bottle.

I understand from other comments that if your pills are yellow colored and not dark brown, then they don't contain any cod liver oil. Well, mine are yellow and I'm very annoyed that I'm being ripped off like this. It was also very disconcerting when I opened the bottle and the 'for your protection' seal popped off by itself from the pressure of pulling off the cap. I don't even want to try taking these pills because 1) they're not the right product and 2) I'm suspicious that they've been tampered with. I will be returning these and order directly from Green Pastures instead.
