I have no complaints aside from maybe the price and the fact that the bottle is small...but such is the way with something that has the term 'clinical' attached to it.I'd recommend this for anyone looking for a good strength deodorant and antiperspirant. I didn't find the smell to be overwhelming but rather pleasing. Mean Stinks No More :) June 17, 2017 I have had a problem with deodorants for the past 2 years. This is the only deodorant that will last me over 24 hours without needing to shower and scrub like crazy. It smells good and works good not to mention it WORKS! I am very active and since I live in a sunny environment year round and perspire frequently I apply this each day with confidence. It honestly does the job and I feel confident all day without one worry of smelling like sweat. I also love the fact it's clear gel deodorant! I love the design and the thought put into this product. It keeps me dry and odor free for 2 days. Every other day application is great. This clear gel does not leave white marks on clothing like all of the Secret Clinical Strength Solid varieties did. It dries fast after application. When working up a big sweat while working outside during the summer causes body sweat all over I still stay dry under my arms with this product. The Sport scent is still my favorite, but this one is nice.The clear gel is more pleasant to use than the white stuff if you wear dark colored shirts.I always buy some variation of Secret clinical strength because it's the only deodorant that actually lasts effectively all day when I'm sweating. It will actually last a few days if I'm not very active. I sweat all the time and I'm not sure what the deal is. I've tried Mitchum, other Secret Clinicals, etc to help - but this ones given me the best results. This deodorant has been the only one to closely combat my issue, with the stress response, yes, I'm still sweating, just not as much as I would with any other product. I rated it 4 stars because there still might be something out there that works better. Works very well! March 1, 2016 I find this brand of antiperspirant more effective than other brands I've used, but I can't stand the citrus scent. It smells potent and fake. I highly recommend this deodorant, but you may want to consider a different scent if you are sensitive to smells. Great Scent February 9, 2016 This stuff really does the trick. It keeps me fresh all day and I love the scent. It can be a little messy putting it on if you don't do a good job rubbing it in. Really works wonders. September 25, 2015 I love Secret Clinical Strength smooth solid deodorant. This was a new scent for me, and I paid a little more to try it out. It works just as the other Clinical Strength smooth solid's do, but the scent is "lavender". I'm not sure I'll purchase this again because the lavender smells somewhat man-ish. I don't know how else to explain that. It's just not totally a lavender scent--almost a little musky, maybe? It's not bad, just different. Works! Use it all the time! Recommended November 23, 2014 It smells nice, but in a subtle way, and has been effective where other deodorants have failed to endure. It's a cream/paste consistency that pushes up through a cut away cap. A little of the cream goes a long way, so if you need to apply more than a couple of swipes, I'd recommend waiting for it to dry before dressing, as it shows up on clothing. Once it dries, it won't show up. Overall, this is a good deodorant and I'm satisfied. Three Star Reviews: | 6% Like all clinical strength deoderants July 5, 2016 I've used the same brand, different scent and I've noticed the scent doesn't last long... Like all clinical strength deoderants, you apply them at night instead of the morning but the scent does not last until the morning. Works Well, Dispenses Awkwardly September 25, 2015 It works really well as a deodorant, but the dispenser is kind of awkward. It's one of those deodorants that are like a cream and you have to turn the nob so the cream pushes through these slots. Sometimes it dries and gets stuck in one of the slots, then it is only being pushed up by two other slots and is kind of hard to clean. I wouldn't purchase this again due to that inconvenience. Pay attention to size.. March 31, 2015 Pay attention to the size of this item as it seem not a lot bigger than the travel versions available.Nice fresh scent and no (as far as I've noticed..) stains on my clothes.Would recommend if of regular size but this smaller version make it more expensive than it shoul or need to be. Too much citrus fragrance... January 29, 2015 The 20% active ingredient works well, but the citrus is seriously strong. Suggestion is to apply at night for next day effectiveness. Works good but probably not worth it for the price August 6, 2016 My Secret Clinical Strength deodorant is almost gone so I feel I've had it long enough to write an accurate review. I do think that it helps excessive underarm sweat more than a "regular" brand of deodorant, but I don't know that I will be purchasing it again. In the instructions it says to use two clicks in the morning and at night... I only use one click because the product is so wet and takes so long to dry that using two clicks would take more time to dry than what I have to get ready in the morning. My main reasons for possibly not being a repeat customer is that the product takes a long time to dry and I feel the product gets used too quickly for how expensive it is. A regular stick of deodorant lasts me twice as long (even though I only used one click of this deodorant in 24 hours- not the 2 in am and 2 in pm that it recommends) and is less than half the price so I'm not sure this product is worth it. October 12, 2015 While I normally enjoy the clinical strength deodorant by Secret for some reason this waterproof one crystalized. I'm not sure if it partially melted when being delivered, but the entire bottle was full of balls of crystalized material that I would have to brush off of my armpits. I still gave the product 3 stars because I believe it does work as an antiperspirant; however, I personally could not wait for it to run out! Good deodorant, bad dispensing August 18, 2014 The deodorant itself works fine. I was surprised one day last week when I felt wet in the underarm area, but it was a highly hot and humid day in the south. It was the first team the deodorant seemed to fail me. My real problem is with the dispenser. I have carpal tunnel syndrome. On an average day, I have to use a towel around the bottom to give me the grip I need to be able to move the product through the dispenser. On bad days, I've had to have my husband do it. I'm a 43-year-old woman, so can't imagine how difficult this would be for a senior citizen or someone with arthritis. I ended up throwing away half of the tube because I couldn't stand struggling every day to put on deodorant. Pretty sure your deodorant is supposed to prevent sweat, not cause it. I actually love the product August 18, 2014 I actually love the product. I have been using it for seven years, and I have had no problem with underarm moisture that whole time (save for when I tried something natural to avoid the aluminum).One note to a few people who have reviewed this product poorly: it is meant to be applied in the evening before you go to bed. This allows it to absorb, and you shouldn't have any problems with the product having a perpetually slick texture. I apply it in the morning whenever I forget, and just use a little. A little goes a long way!The only gripe I have with this product, which has always been a gripe, is that every single one I have ever used has a problem with the turning mechanism. The dial on the bottom, at some point or other, gets jammed so badly I just don't have the hand/wrist strength to turn it at all. I have to bust out the pliers and tackle the dial with those when this problem occurs. If it isn't obvious why this is a problem, I don't always have pliers (why would I take them on a trip?), and basic principle: why the heck should a deodorant company make a product that actually requires the use of pliers to fully function? Come on, industrial designers and deodorant container engineers! I know you can pull your minds together and make something a bit more practical.Other than that hiccup, I do recommend Secret's Clinical Strength deodorant for anyone with embarrassing/distracting/irritating underarm moisture. Two Star Reviews: | 7% Mean can't stink more than this deodorant September 18, 2017 It works like any in this line but oh my god, the chemical stench! And the smell is so strong you'll get to enjoy it all day. For quite a few years I used the Orchid scent, a light floral but they stopped making it so I thought I'd try this one. This was replaced by the lavender scent, which resembles lavender in no way but is also a light floral. Secret, take note, some of us like a milder, more natural scent. Didn't help with sweating and didn't seem to do anything for any odor (if anything I ended up smelling like sweat + the deodoran July 16, 2017 It was okay, did about the same as the $3 dove deodorant I used to use (which I plan on switching back to).Didn't help with sweating and didn't seem to do anything for any odor (if anything I ended up smelling like sweat + the deodorant).Even when I'm in an air conditioned building this stuff seems to wear off after a couple of hours.Just a pretty meh product in general. Maybe I need something stronger and this isn't it Clinical Strength Smooth Solid antiperspirant August 22, 2015 The Clinical Strength Smooth Solid antiperspirant was either old, or not the genuine product. I've used this before, from a local store, and the texture was totally different. What I got from Amazon was gummy and dried to the consistency of melted cellophane. It actually has a plastic look and feel when dry, definitely NOT invisible, and not smooth. I'll buy from other sources next time. Smells great, but that's about it April 27, 2014 I ordered this hoping that it would be a stronger antiperspirant and maybe one that would actually work for me. The "clinical" strength is apparently only 1% stronger than non-"clinical" strength antiperspirants and deodorants if you actually look at the active ingredients. Sadly, that extra 1% didn't do anything for me - there was absolutely no noticeable decrease in wetness compared to any other deodorant I've used. On top of that, the fact that they really only give you half a container made this absolutely not worth the money. it didn't work for me February 6, 2013 for some reason secret products just stopped working for me! makes me wonder if they reformulated their products or what but i've spent $$$ on all the different types (gels, solid, semi-solid) and all the different scents and none have worked! super frustrated! i went out and bought arm and hammer brand and viola! it works all day all night! plus, it's about $3 vs the $8 i spent on this. | 4% Would NEVER buy again! Welp, when you spend nearly 15 dollars on it, I guess it has a lot of expectations. I have hyperhydrosis as well and this honestly compares to a regular deodorant. If you are a woman looking for a strong deodorant I highly suggest purchasing men's deodorant. If I got a little hot or a little sweaty all I smelled was a lovely lavender scent. But if I got really hot, as in hard core work out I smelled like lavender scented BO. Ewww. To top that off it never really dried. I felt like I was in a constant state of sticky. The gel stayed tacky under my arms no matter how much time had passed. So while it smelled decent under normal day to day circumstances, it didn't make me feel confident when working out or just getting sweaty in the crazy summers we have down here in Louisiana. I wouldn't recommend it because I don't like how it makes me feel. I have used secret for years and have gone back to the original formula and the itch went away, so I know it was this product (which was a costly error as I bought 3 of the clinical before I realized the irritation, ouch). I do not sweat much at all, but I live near the beach and it's usually warm and humid year round so I usually purchase Clinical Strength deodorants. I always run long distances so I definitely test them substantially. The solid version of the Secret Clinical Strength is exceptional, even through long jogs and beach weather. This gel version is not good at all, even in the middle of winter with NO JOGGING. I start to smell my underarms in a few hours. December 19, 2015 opened it, took off the lid, removed the cover sticker, turned the dial on the bottom and none of the product came up through the holes. So now I have a container of gel that I cannot get out & use. Not as good as the solid January 15, 2015 I liked the Secret Clinical Strength, but this gel version isn't as good. It doesn't last as long as the solid and I think it causes one of my arms to sweat more than the other. Like, a LOT more. I was soaking through my shirts but just on one side.
