Definitely Worth The Price
March 17, 2017
These boots are perfect for me, I finally got to use them with Stella passing through PA. Having a bad back, being able to slip them on and off is perfect, and the velcro straps I have adjusted just right for me. With 24 inches of snow and extreme cold, my feet were nice and warm. While this isn't the best pair of boots I've owned, they are pretty darn close. Hope to get many years out of these boots.
The perfect Winter Boot
March 6, 2017
My second pair ....don't be fooled (if it doesn't say Greenbay 4 ) its not the same boot ! I depend on these boots for almost the entire winter. Don't care if the snow is 5' deep, wet or dry, 25 below, my feet are always comfortable ! The only improvement I can suggest would be a pair of clip on spikes for solid ice !
Warm and Dry Boots
January 24, 2017
I bought these boots for my husband for Christmas and they have worked really well! His feet stay dry and warm while he's out in the snow, weather he's walking around or shoveling his feet stay dry. He also loves that he doesn't have laces that he has to lace up, it's convenient and it also helps keep the snow out. Great product!
Love my boots!
December 4, 2015
These are the perfect width for me. Depending on the shoes I need 2EE or 4EE. These are great with thick winter socks or thin cotton ones. I seem to get cold feat easier the older I get and these keep my feet warm all day long without over heating. They are not too "clunky" compared to other boots I have tried on. I love the pull on nature of the boots. I hate having to lace up boots when I am bundled up. These also slip on easily for quick trips to the mailbox or to the chicken coop for fresh eggs. The tread on them works great for climbing the sledding hill with my kids. They are waterproof as far as I can tell. I have not tried to ford an ice choked mountain stream, but for slushy driveways and sidewalks my feet have stayed dry.
Nice boot, light weight, good insulation, nice draw string at top to keep snow out, and good grip on soles.
October 9, 2015
The boots are very nice, When ordering I checked my sneakers, they are a size 11. After these boots arrived I tried them on, toes touched the end and they were slightly tight in width. I remembered I had bought some shoes in a shoe store (where they measured first) and I checked them. They are a size 11.5, so I understand why these were just a bit to short. I probably could have worn these but for the money I wanted to make sure they were comfortable and to tight may mean to cold in winter or worse with heavy socks. I was going to exhcange for a larger but when I read the exhange info it sounded like they may not always allow exchanges. I was afraid if I exhanged to a size 12 since they do not have 11.5 the boots may be to large then and I may not be able to get refunded a second time.I like the boots, they seemed very nice, the tread seems very good for gripping in the snow, I really like the draw string at the top, great for keeping snow out. I think these would have been perfect for what I wanted, warm and dry feet when walking my dog and blowing snow from my drive in cold weather. I wish they would have fit. I will likely look at local stores and try to find something like these that I can be sure fit before buying.I do not know how they would have been with extended wear since I only wore them walking on carpet in my house for a few minutes. I was pretty sure after putting them on that I would need to return them I did not wish to scuf or marr them in any way causing problems returning them.I would recommend these since they seem very nice for the short period I had them with no defects except no size 11.5. if you wear a size 11 shoe and not 11.5 these would probably fit very well.
Heavy, sturdy boot
December 15, 2013
Got these for my 12 year old. A heavy, sturdy boot. Though he has the feet of man (size 9 1/2,) he has the patience of a little boy, so it was important I got something he could get on and off quickly (Velcro, yay!) These are very tall, to keep the snow out of his ankles (love the drawstring at the top to cinch it closed) while he spends hours playing outside, and have a nice, thick sole. This is the second set of these we've ordered. His last set lasted four years (two years on older brother, two years on kiddo) and are still perfectly operational, although now too small. Great value.

Boot Review
March 21, 2017
Good boots overall. Staying outside for extended periods in Alaska at ten to twenty below with wool socks still caused some cold toes. I bought some toe warmer strips at the grocery store (good for up to six hours) and that solved the problem. Very durable boots and easy to put on and take off.
Really good snow boots
February 27, 2017
Pros:It was the size I expected allowing me to wear thermal socks and regular socks. These kept my feet warm in the snow for several hours at a time. They are easy to get on and off. They have a good tread that doesn't collect snow; I wasn't slipping in the snow like some of my group.Cons:I had some redness on my leg at the front top of my right boot from where the boot was rubbing against my leg (through layers), but it might have been how I tucked my pants into the boot as only one leg had the issue and only after all day in the snow.My toes do eventually get cold, but everyone else in the group I was with had the same issue with their snow boots. We just went somewhere warm after several hours in the snow to warm up.
Hopeful...

Just received these in the mail today, and have been wearing them around the house for over an hour. Fit feels true to size (I wear and ordered 12). My feet are hot, so I don't doubt they'll keep me warm outside in the snow. One complaint is the velcro cinch-strap feels too long. I like a really snug feel through the ankle, but when cinching down, I'm only utilizing 1/3 of the velcro connection. This leaves a long "tail" flapping around. Wish they incorporated longer velcro contact area, or a "hook" for the "tail" of the velcro strap to stay tight to the boot (to prevent getting ripped open or packed with snow). I know a typical lace-boot can be cinched much tighter, but I really wanted the quick on/off of the slip-style. They are comfortable though.

These are good but you absolutely must buy inserts like Dr. Scholls or your ankle bone will very painfully hit the rigid side protrusion. Also, the insulation insert is not what I would call made to fit exactly the size of your feet. As a result one foot may be fine and the other not. Fortuneatly they are removable. Remember those inserts or you won't be able to wear them.
Good boot, not the right fit - tight width, average-long length - Do not recommend for flat feet
November 29, 2015
We love Kamik boots, my boys have worn them for years. My oldest outgrew kid sizes and this is his first season in a men's size boot. His foot has grown several sizes this past year, so he's wearing a 9.5 medium width in a running shoe, and we ordered a 10 to try to get through the whole winter/ski season. The boot was a little long in length, as I expected. It is possibly 1/2 size larger in length. It was too narrow at the ball of the foot (just before the base of the toes at the widest part of the foot) and my son felt pressure in that area. We're skiers, and good at boot fitting. He was wearing just a single, good fitting ski sock, medium weight. We took the liner out, assessed the fit. The liner is very snug in the width. It may be stiff from being new and eventually give, but we sent it back. It's not a good fit and would have a long break in period. He does have flat feet (no arch) and it's possible that his foot is getting wider as he's getting heavier, but it hasn't been a problem in regular shoes. Just doesn't work for his foot, but is otherwise a well-made boot, exactly like the kids' boots just much bigger. It is a heavy boot, and stiff rubber in the foot. There is not a lot of give.

Every shoe and boot I own is 11.5 D (US). Customer reviews recommended ordering 1/2 size up, so I ordered a size 12. Standing in place puts my toes in firm contact with the boot toe. Width is just a tad wider than I prefer. I will order a 13 when they are available, and report back if I get them. None available from Amazon at this time. Looks like a well made boot.Edit: I did find a pair of these in a size 13. They fit my size 11.5 foot perfectly with a heavy boot sock. Just enough room to move my toes a bit. I only got the chance to use them once. Two hours of snow blowing and shoveling in 18-20 degree weather. The boots were wonderful. My feet were warm and dry throughout the time, and the slip on/off design is a pleasure.I am very happy with these.

This boot runs small. My husband wears a 9 and that's what I ordered but his toes were at the end of the boot with extra slop in the heel. Reordered a 10 and that was way too large in the heels but good otherwise. They hit high on his calves making walking difficult.

Could be better
January 22, 2017
Been wearing these boots for a couple days here in big bear California been getting alot of snow in the last couple weeks and was looking forward to these things solving my foot problem in the snow. They seem to be well constructed but do you not keep your feet very warm it's only 18° here these are rated for -40 I would expect my feet to be a little more toasty with a couple socks and pants going over the top of the boot
Good but Heavy!
December 1, 2016
If I had known how heavy these were I would not have bought them. Some reviewers commented on their light weight - makes me wonder what iron shod boots they've been wearing. They are also, at least out of the box, very stiff and I have hopes they'll become more flexible when worn. The quality and fit are fine and I'm sure they'll work, but also sure they will wear me out if I have to walk very far in them.
unfortunate seam issue.
January 8, 2016
The seam on top of my left boot split open upon wearing these outside for the first time. The good thing here is customer service from Kamik has been great. I am replacing these with another Kamik boot. They were warm in the snow. It might have been a different story if the snow had more water content. One thing you should consider, if you are wearing these, get a sock that will stay up higher than the boot, the liner is a little uncomfortable if it's against your skin, this isn't an issue if you tuck your pants into the boot.
Feet cold at 40 degrees
December 29, 2015
Western PA weather this 2015 winter too warm to really put these boots to the test. However, on an all day outing on a damp, rainy, mid 40 degree day, standing about at an auction, my feet got quite chilly in these. The jury is still out....

Leaked water straight out of the box.
August 31, 2017
The boots fit well. I bought a size larger than normal, as recommended my most people. The fit just a little big, which I liked so I could wear extra thick socks. The boots were comfortable and I really liked them on my first impression. I was very disappointed when I filled the bathtub with about 6-8 inches of water and quickly found the tops of both of my feet to be wet. I think the seams were leaking, where the fabric meets the rubber. The boots would probably be fine for walking in talk wet grass, but this particular pair would not handle submersion. Waterproofing agent could possibly be applied, but I intend to return them.

January 25, 2017
I was out in 0-10 degree weather when my feet started getting cold after 30 minutes or so. When I got home I took out the linings. Looking in the inner boot soles, I saw beads of water. No wander my feet were getting cold in 0 degree weather. 2nd time I used them I had to go home after 1 hour because my feet were getting too cold. Same thing happened...beads of water in the inner soles.
Gave me blisters quickly and I have very accommodating feet.
March 10, 2016
Summary: Easy on/off and warm - not good if you walk in them for any distance. Velcro fastener bends to easy and the strap slides out of place.Pros: Easy on and off. Keep feet and warm in deep snow. Good traction for walking. Generally quite comfortable if you are not walking much in them. Look good and appear well made.Cons: After 1 week of walking a mile a day in them outside my heel created pilling on the liner which roughened the surface creating blisters on my feet and ruining the liner surface. Though my feet are very accommodating to shoe sizing of 11 US these felt too loose and I quickly ran out of Velcro room to make them tighter at the ankle. The boots just didn't seem to allow walking in them very much. They seem as they should have an additional strap on them or accommodate flexing more so the heal doesn't glide up and down the liner when walking. I don't think my pair was defective but I would have returned them because of the pilling issue had I remembered to do so in time.
Bad fit and poorly made
March 27, 2015
First, the good: it does keep your feet warm and dry. Now, the bad: - the fit is not great. Because it is designed without a zipper, it has to be wide enough to fit your foot in the top. As a result, the top of the boot is very wide. You would need to have very large calves for this boot to fit snuggly. Without adjustments, it will wiggle forwards and back - there are two locations to adjust the fit: a strap and buckle at the bottom and a cinch at the top. As a result, in ends up bunching up in the middle if, like me, you don't have very thick legs - after just a few weeks the buckles that held the strap at the base of the boot tore off. This was not due to misuse of the boot. I think the problem is just that the boot is not designed to be tightened as much as I had to tighten it in order for it to fit better - I'm not sure what caused it, but something rubbed against my leg while walking, causing slight chafing. I imagine for long walks this could get uncomfortable. I was able to alleviate it somewhat by folding over the felt padding in side the bootSummary: - ill-fitting for people without thicker legs. I'm not particularly slender and the boots were *way* too large at the calf - shoddy worksmanship - the belt buckles (a bent piece of thick metal wire) unbent and tore off the boot - not particularly comfortable - even when the boot was adjusted to fit slightly better, it still was not very comfortableI rated it two stars because it did do a good job of keeping my feet dry and warm, even when going through deep snow or stepping into large puddles of slush. I just hated to put them on. These are actually not a bad choice for slip-on boots if you're going outside for a few moments, but I wouldn't recommend them for extended walks.
Unadjustable and too loose for my purpose
March 4, 2015
I seem to be in the minority by not giving this boot a fabulous review. But here it goes anyway: My main complaint is that the strap feature. It is entirely aesthetic, if you tighten it even marginally, you have a large flap hanging off the boot threatening to catch on something or allowing the exposed velcro get clogged up and not usable. That design flaw could be solved by adding more velcro. Even so, the strap itself is situated so the buckle sits right on the ball of your ankle, and there's not a lot of padding on the boot in that area either. I was not able to walk more than a few steps with the strap tightened without feeling pain from the buckle. Without the strap tightened, the boot is entirely too loose. As in, loose enough to walk right out of the boot. Some people seem to like being able to slide their foot in and out with zero effort. I don't understand that perspective. I need my boot to stay on when I'm trudging through deep snow or working outside. Like I said, I am in the minority, but I just don't get these boots. I returned them and got the Baffin Control Max and think it is a much much better boot.
Buckle Loop Bent & Detached on First Use
January 6, 2015
Minutes ago the boots were delivered and I immediately tried them on for size. They appeared to be made well until I tried to fasten the lower Velcro strap. With light to moderate tension (not with force), I pulled the Velcro strap then pop the buckle bent and pulled out of the sewn slot. The buckle is made out of soft steel that obviously needs to bend easy for Kamik's production installation ease. Certainly a bad design that can be easily resolved without major engineering. I am so glad this happened to me at first try at delivery versus one or two years from now. I noticed at least two other reviewers had the same problem. If you already own these boots beyond return or warranty window, I suggest you leave the lower strap loose so this won't happen to you. I am regretfully returning and looking for a better quality made boot. USA made? I would have hoped they would have a better quality buckle fastening system than this. See photo.

If you're looking for waterproof, these are not!

I had these boots for 2 winters, and this year they leaked water from slush , very disappointed that they only lasted 2 seasons.
Leaks, won't keep your feet warm - trash boots
April 2, 2016
I liked these at first, until recently. Here's what happened. They worked fine in hard snow at cold temps. They did NOT keep my feet warm, so I had to rely on extra socks (these boots are poorly insulated). However, they (mostly) kept my feet dry.Now that it's spring, the snow is getting slushy and wet, and these boots have become a DISASTER. Moisture is leaking into them around the rubber part of the boots. I only have to walk in slushy snow for a minute until my socks are soaked and my feet are cold and numb.To make matters worse, the bottoms of the inside of the boots seem to be made of some sort of hell material that retains water; 1 month later, I figured the boots had dried out, but I put them back on and water started gushing out of the inside of the boots and my socks were soon soaked again! 1 month later! These were such a waste of money.

I ordered these for my husband and right away he tried one on just to make sure it was a good fit. A few days later, the morning of packing for our snow trip we realized both boots were for the right foot. This was a huge disappointment!Kamik Men's Greenbay 4 Cold Weather Boot,Black,14 M
disappointed in quality
February 18, 2016
After reading the reviews of others, I was hopeful that these boots would last more than a week. After wearing these for all of 4 days one of the seams near the rubber ripped open over an inch. I made the mistake of purchasing in advance and letting them sit for over a month new in the box, so now I can't even exchange them to see if it was a defect and not a bad product
Would not recommend boot or seller
February 3, 2016
Received the boots sooner than expected. However, the inside liner is too large for the boot. This creates a very uncomfortable crease in the heal area. This was on both boots. Could not even fit my feet all the way in to try them on. Now I have to pay to return an item that wasn’t even usable.
